as of mere moments ago.......
::without another word, Ororo lifts her hands...and teleports herself, alison and erika to the expanse of the Garden...with the others::
Gather yourselves together. We now prepare to venture into the heart of profound darkness. Goddess grant our powers are sufficient to save the citizens and protect each other. no matter what happens ...we must stay together! Your task is spelled out clearly...mine...unfortunately is not going to be so easy.
::there was a hint of cryptic tone in the last half of her statement..::
::as the winds rose...ororo's hair and cape flowed ...swirling leaves encircled the group as their bodies were enveloped by sparkling green magick..and with a BLAST of thunder...they were teleported from the safety and tranquility of Ororo's garden......to what could only be described as simply HELL ON EARTH as they arrive just STEPS away from Time Square. they could SEE the large, swirling vortex of a stepping disc in the sky....it was shaking..and flickering...but demons continued to fall from the sky...raining down ..crashing onto car's and buildings....as the buildings themselves now took on a more "ancient" stone like appearence and had DEMONIC FACES...all sorts of inanimate objects began to come to evil life...as fires were erupting.....power was fluxuating, people were screaming.... UTTER CHAOS::
::the nightmare gauntlet from HELL was about to BEGIN!::

:: Cameron looked at what used to be the fast paced and cultural melding pot of New York City. It had broken out into complete and udder chaos. There were demons falling from the skies like rain and objects that had been enchanted as they ran people off of the road and chased them down the streets. Demons began making their way slowly to the Six as they could most likely sense the amount of power that each of them had within. Prophet looked towards Ororo with a concerned look as he could see the vortex high in the sky. He was perplexed ::
"Ororo.. shouldn't we be at Illustra? How are we going to maneuver through this chaos?"
:: Prophet shot a concerned look at his sister and Alison who seemed to be for the first time standing next to each other and not with the same cold distance there had always been. Alison was alive and Cameron guessed that it was a good thing. He looked at her quickly ::
"Nice to have you with us again.. Alison.."
:: He didn't quite know what to say to her. Cameron knew that she wouldn't take a simple thank you as an apology. Since their meeting she had saved his life countless times and almost sacrificed herself to save the entire group of the Six. Prophet knew he would have to answer to her after this was all over. He turned back to the group ::
"So what is our plan?"

** For those few precious seconds, Blaze held her breath. Would Cameron except her peace offering? A slow sigh escaped her lips when she felt his larger hand slide inside hers for a firm handshake. After releasing her hand away, Foxfire felt more relieved. At least she made peace with her teammates and just in time. Ororo, Erika, and Guardian were then teleported right in front of them. Ororo's words were another clue to what Cameron saw and what Blaze felt. The weather witch must have sensed it as well thought Blaze. **
** Peering over at Alison, Blaze couldn't believe it! How on earth did they succeed? Having Guardian there was another added bonus. The mutant was worried about the Seer, she was even ready to grieve for her death but luckily that didn't happen. Sparkling green specks filtered along Blaze's tanned skin, making her shiver. And in the blink of an eye they were gone. Transferred to NYC, where all the demons were and the final showdown would take place. **
** Arriving at close range by Time Square, Blaze was in awe at the sight of demons of all sizes and shapes shooting through the stepping disk. Shaking her head at the piercing screams from the frightened public. Her eyes moved onto Ororo and Alison for direction, both of them were sure to have a plan. But what caught her attention were inanimate objects moving out of the corner of her eyes. A deep frown washing over her face, how was this possible? **
"We're not in Kansas anymore Dorothy, we're in HELL!"

< As the group was teleported to New York City, Erika surveyed the situation. It was essentially Hell on Earth. From the demons to enchanted objects to the darkened skies and the giant vortex that seemed to be all encompassing. This was not going to be easy. There were going to be casualties, be it members of the Six or Civillians of the city. Either way they would HAVE To make it to Illustra if they even stood a chance of getting the old Morgan back. She shot back at her brother quickly. >
"Cameron.. Are you kidding? That would be like dropping us in the Lion's Den and we are close enough as it is.. If she sees any of us her blood lust will run high! Besides.. look at all of these people. Somebody has got to help them. Remember, this isn't about us..."
< She wasn't being snippy with Cameron, she was just trying to help him understand the severity of the situation. How dire things were. This wasn't going to be solved by an all out attack on Spellbinder. Things needed to happen in succession. Stuff had to be resolved one by one, and right now, the people needed them and besides, they needed to kill off as many demons as possible. That would just be less to aid Spellbinder in the end. >
"Sorry for sounding so cross, Cameron. I am merely stressed by the situation, but look at it this way, the less demons crawling around, the less we have to fight off when we get to Morgan. We need to be smart about this..."

:: Winds began to flow around the meta human until finally she dissapeared from the dimension known as Limbo and appeared in New York City....or what was left of it. Alexis' blue eyes immediatly lifted towards the massivly large stepping disc in the sky...her mouth parted with shock. The amount of power Morgan had gained...the amount of distruction she was doing with it. It was amazing. Alexis' eyes finally began to glance around looking at the larger picture---Time Square. The buildings were destroyed, fire and smoke could be seen in the distant along with cries of desperation and pain. It was almost as if they had traveled back in time those six months ago where they all first met...that devistating night. But my god, this was fifty times worse. Fluttering her eyes, Alexis could hear the conversation going on between Cameron, Erika, and Blaze, but didn't bother to chime in. Suddenly, a woman came screaming out of a store, running towards the group....grabbing onto Alexis, she pleaded with her frantically--the woman was petrified. ::
Woman: "PLEASE!! Help me! Please God!!.....NO!!"
:: The woman screamed bloody murder between her sobs as she turned seeing the demon that was chasing her emerge from the store. The demon shot into the air, launching towards the helpless woman, ready to kill her...or whatever these demons enjoyed doing. Without even giving it a second thought, Alexis quickly pushed the woman towards Cameron and Erika, as the demon literally tackled Alexis to the ground. OOOF! Holding the vicious demon's torso back with her hands, it tried desperatly to bite down at Alexis' throat....Alexis charged up her hands and sent a massive electrical surge into the demon, sending him flying feet away. Pushing herself up off the dirty concrete ground, she watched as he demon continued to convulse until finally he exploded on the spot. Out of breath simply for the fact that she wasn't ready for that attack, she looked to the woman who was still with Erika and Cameron...::
Woman: "Thank you...thank you all..."
:: The woman's voice was shaky...she was in shock about the entire situation. ::
"Just get home...quickly.."
:: Alexis spoke calmly....holding her forearm, the demon had dug it's claws into her deeply...and she knew exactly what that meant. She was most likely infected with the TO virus...::

Haleigh looked up at Ororo as she returned to call on Erika... she never missed a chance to berate Cameron and Haleigh[ever so skillfully without calling them outright]... and Haleigh was now beginning to tire of it. She DID have remorse for her part in Morgan's fall... and though she had taken a change no one could deny... she never was and never WOULD be a doormat....and so firmly and loudly enough for everyone to hear, she spoke up to Ororo.
"With all due respect, Mademoiselle, Alison GAVE as good as she GOT."
Haleigh sat back against the large boulder that was behind her and stretched her legs out in front her, crossing them at the ankles as Cameron got comfortable in her lap. He drifted off to sleep... and she rests back, looking down at him. Haleigh could never say aloud the way she felt about Cameron, partly out of pride and partly out of fear... but Everyone else could see, as he slept, the way she looked at him gave her away. She didnt need a blood tie... as far as she was concerned he was her brother... and it was this that mainly caused her to resent Alison... it had nothing to do with her alliance to Morgan... Hales was angered that Alison was his sister and continuously forsake him... she still didnt sleep, she wasnt tired... so she kind of relaxed her vision and spaced out, thinking about everything that had happened, and everything that was ahead of her. It was the first moment she had to reflect on her instincts and to stop ignoring her intuition... and apparently, her death had NOT been thayt bad feeling she'd had... for know more than ever, like a pain coiled in her upper abs, that bad feeling throbbed with strength. UIt wasnt long before she snapped from her daze, Blaze seemed to be distressed.
"What's wrong?"
She asked, as Blaze began about what she sensed. Cameron awoke with talked of a vision... and pulled hales to her feet. It was time to go to New York... and H was ready.
"Welll.... I dunno about a WHOLE plan.... but it might be wise to start by going to CI... we can find Morgan BEFORE she finds us... and well have eyes on the city... once we know the scope of the damage thus far.... well be properly informed to make a plan.... and we can prepare."
Ororo
06-12-2005, 11:52 PM
::Ororo surveyed the damage and mayhem as it unfolded before her eyes.....the whole scene was injected..almost ENHANCED by Morgan's deep seeded rage the final confrontation would be emotionally battering as well as physical. Not really paying attention to Haleigh, she focused on her own special task::
Ororo: how ever you do it, you will have to make your way through this city...helping those whom you can along the way the ultimate goal with be to rendevous with me at Illustra BEFORE the sun sets.
::she began to move away from the group::
I believe you are more than up to the task at hand.....maiden bless all of you.
::in a columnar vortex of winds and leaves, Ororo vanishes...leaving the group unprotected by the warding spell she cast...and now, demons begin to close in on them...some looking utterly savage and drooling with blood lust, while other smirk with freakishly fanged teeth::

::having rejoined the group, thanks to the efforts of Ororo and Erika, Guardian had a much needed new sense of CALM about her soul right now. She felt refreshed, as though she had awakened from a sleep filled with turmoil. Her hair was back in its trademark style of a sleek, severe bun...making her look stern and cold. but her face was refreshed..and her cobalt blue eyes seemed to sparkle with crystal clarity.::
::standing with Ororo to her right and her siblings to her left...it was the FIRST time she was in such close proximity to them without an overwhelming desire to render them limb from limb. Still she did not feel drawn to her brother. Though she may have allowed her marble hard heart to beat once more for the first time in over a decade, she was not entirely willing to revisit sisterly feelings for him. not yet.::
thank you prophet. it is good to be back....thanks to Ororo....::looking upon Erika:: and Erika.
::her voice still possesed the stern tone..but there was more of a lilt to it. no longer was it tinged with savage disdain like it was before.::
::As Ororo brought them to NYC, she saw what she had already known to be on the horizon come to pass in a most terrifying reality. Everything she had foreseen was now coming to fruition....to terrifying detail.::
:: Of the group, Alison and Ororo were the tallest women. Only Prophet edged them out by mere inches of height...She began to survey the area herself...noting the demons and more coming down from the skies, the now demonically enchanted buildings, light fixtures, parking meters, even cars and other normally inanimate objects. people running for their lives ...others already fallen.::
This will escalate....it will get to the point that NYC is deemed a "disaster area" by the american government. fear of the spread of the techno organic virus will prompt government officials to consider..NUCLEAR EXPUNGING of this entire state...and when that happens....Morgan and her demons...the legions of limbo will declare war on the entire country.....this WILL reach global proportions.
We must make this gauntlet, helping those we can along the way but ultimately reaching shelter.....allowing us time to prepare for our arrival at ground zero
:: Pointing off to the distant view, to the now mountainous, jagged structure that was once illustra.......the building seems to have GROWN in size and its summit is now enshrouded by fog and discharges of black lightning. the structure had become so large and twisted in its appearence...that its stature made it loom large in the sky...only the Empire State building dwarfed it..and THAT was because the EP State building itself was ALSO growing... slowly but surely even as they WATCHED...it was unclear just WHERE Morgan was...but likely it was that she'd be at either one of these two structures::
Spellbinder's magicks have blocked my long range foresight. i cant tell if she is at Illustra OR the empire state building. its possible that Haleight's resources will allow us to deduce her location from other clues and data they may gather.
::Ororo was gone and the demons were coming closer. taking the first bold steps forward...Guardian thrusts her hands forward blowing up three demons while simultaneously freezing them in temporal stasis...she then manipulates their demonic shards and flays more oncoming demons with the now highspeed jagged shrapnel.::
I suggest, you point us in the right direction Black Widow. Time is of the essecence....
:: More demons came lumbering from behind an over turned police car....as Guardian lashed out..and blew each of them up utterly...each member of the Six would have to pull their own weight in this hellish gauntlet if they wanted to make it.

<< as the demons destroyed by Guardian and Shockwave cry out before meeting their end, more demons assemble coming from all directions..some swooping down from the skies as well. at the same time....light fixtures began to reach down like huge anacondas....attempting to wrap up and electrocute members of the six, while Trash cans start hurling themselves at the group...and power and a near by firehydrant BLASTS at the group with an ENDLESS torrent of powerful, unrelenting water.......all the while..the demons began attacking more helpless citizens who are trying to run....the closest victim....is a young woman with her baby...having fallen and now covering her baby with her body in a last ditch effort to sheild her child from the animal like strikes of two lean, yet toned shiney demons that taught her with laughing>>

:: Prophet watched everything that was going on in complete wonder. This was almost like a dream. How could this really be happening? Out of the corner of his eye he noticed two demons edging in closer on a mother and her young daughter who looked to be around the age of four. Almost instinctively, Cameron turned around as he lifted his hand in the air, telepathically taking control of the demons as he made the demons dance around doing the funky chicken and other silly things which seemed to ease the mind of the young girl. With a single thought the demons flew in front of the group and were destroyed by the shards of the demons that were destroyed by Alison as Prophet walked up to the little girl and patted her on the head ::
"See, they are just silly little monsters..."
:: Looking up to the Mother ::
"You might want to get out of the city, Miss. Things are looking bad. Your daughter's life depends on it..."
:: He turned back as he looked upon the city and in the background he saw three demons seemingly combust. After the ashes and dust settled, Cameron could only smile. It was Vivica (http://us.ent4.yimg.com/tv.yahoo.com/images/he/photo/tv_pix/upn/america_s_next_top_model/tyra_banks/model.jpg)! She was alive and well and apparantely doing something about the hordes of demons that were attacking the city. As soon as sensed Cameron in the area she augmented her hyper senses as she focused them all into speed and in almost the blink of an eye she was embracing Cameron in a long and needed hug ::
Vivica: Cam! You're alive! I worried that you weren't going to make it or that you were still in California. Did everything go okay with your sisters?
Cameron: As good as can be expected. It is a little strange, but we have bigger things to worry about right now. This is the culmination of the explosion of Morgan Victoria. Viv, I need you to scower the streets and burrows. Make sure the people are safe and don't get in the way of the Six. By the way? How did you dust those demons over there?
Vivica: It must be part of my mutation. All of my senses have seemed to have heightened.. I find myself being able to run fast and punch through walls and hear things much farther away than before.. I guess it's just expanding...
Cameron: Well it's good that you are okay.. but I need to get back to the Six so we can get started.. Stay safe okay?
Vivica: As always. Just do the same, okay?
:: The two leaned in for a huge before Vivica zoomed off into the street looking like a blur before stopping down the street a few ways and literall lifting a light pole out of it's place and using it to decapitate two demons in front of her as she waved for the people to get out of the way. She would be okay. Cameron turned back to the group and back to Haleigh ::
"Come on Hales... what's the best plan of action?"
:: Prophet didn't have time to react. He was bombarded by a blast of hydrant water that sent him flying a distance aways from the group and onto a sidewalk. There was so much dust and debris everywhere that he couldn't really see the group anymore. The only thing he could see where the sparkling eyes of several demons now coming straight at him. As they crawled forward, Cameron hurled them back with a squint of the eyes as he ran forward, once again finding the members of the Six as he he telekinetically held the demons in place as the hyrdant now blasted them with water. as the Light Fixtures came down and knicked one of the demons, both of them started to convulse with electricity running through their bodies before their remains were spread among the group hitting some. The baby caught Cameron's eyes ::
"The Baby! Someone stop them!"

< As Erika was waiting for Haleigh to find out from her connections what would be the best way for them to all get to Illustra the safest way possible about a million different things began to happen at once. A trash can whooshed by and hit her in the head as she fell to the ground, the only real thing hurt was her pride. She stood up as the Hydrant began to blast water all over. She began to realize that if the light fixtures touched any of them, they would be toast, as shown by the explosion of two demons by her brother. She quickly tried to focus in on the Hydrant as she used her elemental persuasion over the element to dry it out completely. The water dried from the skin of the members of the Six as it began reappearing in a gigantic globe in Erika's hands as she shot it at a garbage can that was about to hit Blaze right in the head. The second she saw the baby, she cried out for it. These demons were relentless. >
"BABY!"
< The baby dissappeared in a swirl of bright lights and orbs and reappeared in Erika's arms as she hollered to the group. >
"Save the woman! I have the child! He is alright!"
< The scene was complete and udder chaos. People were running in the streets screaming and hollering. Young children were crying and looking for their mothers. Erika felt like she was in World War II right after an invasion by Hitler. But she would not suffer in some concentration camp. She would get out of this and so would the others. Glancing backwards she noticed a demon right on her tail heading straight for the baby itself. Motioning her hands she shot out a powerfully charged Mystic Bolt that hit straight at the heart of the Demon, shattering it into a million pieces. Erika was ready to give into her dark side if she had to. If the Gauntlet was coming. Bring it On >

::Guardian's TK was augmented by dark magick...CHAOS magick specifically. Allowing her to reshape the structure of objects through her force of will among other things. at her mental command, as she extended her hand forward..a Massive concrete slab began to glow with a cobalt blue aura...as concrete itself began to shake and undulate, and with a "popping" sound..it transformed into a now MASSIVE concrete MALLET. like a conductor of a symphony, Guardian directed her newly created weapon to swing around and DOWN..SMASHING the demons who were closing in on the woman whose Baby Erika had save. so HARD was the force of impact that the ground surrounding that immediate area began to crack.::
::but the woman was saved as was the baby.::

** It all happened so fast Blaze hardly had time to react. Ororo left quickly to complete another agenda and now the group was chasing after a mother and a small baby shielded in her arms. Her green eyes went wide spotting the snake like light fixture, was this actually happening. Foxfire was so caught up she didn't realize the other key factors. What did wake her senses up was her skin and clothing soaked in an explosion of water. Gasping with shock, she turned to spot the intruder to be a fire hydrant! This was so fucked up! An explosion out of the corner of her eye stole Blaze's attention, a garbage can? Looking over at Erika, she nodded a thanks to her. **
** Taking off in full sprint, she headed towards the mother. Spotting several more demons running towards the helpless woman, Blaze barreled right into them full force. Knocking them down roughly while she backflipped away. Throwing out her two sais, stabbing both of them in the throat, spraying red blood everywhere. This was just a small clue to how ruthless Blaze could be as well. Firing out blasts of hot lava at the moving vehicles to clear a path for the group now that Guardian secured the woman. **

::howling swirling winds and leaves herald the arrival of Ororo in the soho district..a very trendy, affluent residence withini Manhattan. She knew that no one would immediately recognize her..or even NOTICE her for that matter and as chaos raged around her...she lifted of the ground and took off into the air....flying with speed and grace. a few winged demons zeroed in on her...she laughed as the winds bend to her will and she flew in sweeping, tightly coreographed patterns, taunting the demons as she once did her foes back in the days of her X-men. frustrating them as they kept giving chase, Ororo finally incinerated both of them with well placed lightning bolts that struck them in their faces with such force that their sparkling, smoldering carcasses went careening to the ground below::
::finally after flying through the worst of the area, Ororo lands at the base of a medical office plaza. the building was certainly "closed" to the public...and despite many of the surrounding buildings having become enchanted and demonic in their appearence, this one seemed to almost "struggle" to maintain its integrity...making it a safe beacon in the midst of the madness. The reason being, was that this was the place were psychotherapist, Dr. Karen V. Victoria saw her patients. Her office was one of many in this firm of doctors...and the group of doctors in turn provided Karen with the support she needed in the years of coping with the hell that her deceased ex husband Christopher had put her and her daughter through.::
Ororo: the doctor is inside...and i can feel her grim determinaton to protect herself and her surroundings. her magicks are sustaining the integrity of this building...but not for long.
::Ororo would now attempt to find and aid Karen...the two women had long been close friends..happily sharing the maternal role in Morgan's life. together their power would be MOST vital in the defense against Morgan in the hour most dire...BUT ALSO as a means to BREAK THROUGH to Morgan's true self.::

<< inside the multi level medical plaza populate by the offices of highly reputable doctors who catered to high society clients for a variety of needs, the emergency power was on....as well as red emergency beacons throughout the halls. there were scorch marks in the lobby facing the streets a sign of several encounters between the sole occupant of the building and some unwanted intruders...and now the front entrances were sealed shut by silver mystic flames...a warding spell of incredible power...cast by Karen Victoria>>
<< when the chaos of inferno began, Karen had been taken by surprised and had to retreat back into the building. Some demons chased her in...attempting to corner her and devour her. a pity they didnt recognize her for She too was a sorceress, an experienced sorceress with an impressive command of magicks. Ororo knew her help would be required in the final battle but she also knew that Karen was less than fond of Morgan's "allies" in The Six. Not that she could blame the woman. With the exception of Alison...and MARGINALLY Blaze [whom she associated with Christopher and thus had a hard time trusting her], Karen had seen the stress that the group had put on her daughter...she wanted Morgan to abandon the group...and take care of herself....they had many talks...but nothing had prepared her for this level a break down in her daughter>>
<< Not immediately associating this tremendous terror facing the city with her daughter, she could sense only that there was a tremendous dark magickal force at work...sweeping the city and that it was escalating. her own eyes beheld the horror that unfolded outside..even at the level of the building that she was at. she stood in the center of her office....her eyes tightly closed...as she continued to concentrate and fight against the magicks trying to overtake the building. But she was losing strength....at the same time, she was sending out a distress call...and though she didnt know it yet, Ororo outside the building....clearing away demons and preparing to enter to help Karen escape.>>

Haleigh looked around at the surrounding area... demons were closing in and inanimate objects sprung to life, attacking them all as if they had some personal vendetta. Haleigh was subjected to a whipping lamppost, but barely gave it the time of day. It closed down on top of her, and she shielded herself with her forearm... the light flung back as though it had bounced off her and hit the ground in a mangled mess that could hardly be recognized as a lamppost... Haleigh looked around... the demons were closing in and even as the others fought off the ones attacking innocent bystanders, more moved in. Ororo was gone... they were getting braver now... but Haleigh remembered what O had said about her TO virus infection... that she'd be able to drain their 'life glow'... and she figured now was as good a time as any to try that out. she outstretched her hand in front of her, towards the nearest demons, and took a deep breath, drawing into her lungs everything she could-- and as it turned out, she could draw in more than oxygen. Her hand took on a glow in the dark red illumination, as the TO demons nearest to her were stumbling to their knees and the others behind them were scurrying back. Haleigh raised her free hand to her ear, ina gesture Blaze would recognize as talking to CI.
"I need an out."
>>Director, the building to your left. Elevator number three.
Haleigh called for the others to follow, and disappeared quickly through the broken glass door of the building, holding out her glowing hand to clear the way for the group. There was flickering power in this building, causing the doors to open and close and ding obnoxiously every few seconds. Haleigh held the doors to #3 open and then waited for everyone to get in the Elevator before closing the doors and holding them shut with her powers. The lights flickered one more time before Haleigh leaned forward to push a button marked "Executive 1" on the elevator panel. Those of the six who were especially observant mightve noticed that the panel in the elevator had changed while the lights were out... indeed... they had switched elevators... the were now in one nearly across town... they were in the Liquid Crystal Images building and Hales was taking them downstairs... the electricity now flowed uninterrupted, for haleigh's building ran independently of the citys electric... on its own generators... so no matter what happened... they'd be okay. The elevator dinged and Haleigh stepped out, leading the group through a winding corridor before stopping to enter an access code on a door. She let them into a room filled with monitors. On the monitors scenes of violence played without end. One wall had a singular monitor on it... it showed an aerial view of the city... from satellite. The rest of the monitors switched view from cameras planted all over the city. Chaos and terror was everywhere... some places were the first to be hit, and so nothing was left but despair.
"Watch for Morgan.... or central activity... shell be were most everything is happening. That wall has a tap on the camera security system in Illustra... the garages, inside the tower... itll even flash with visuals of our living quarters at the end of the cycle... what? you didnt think id allow myself to be shut out of Illustra, did you? If any of you can think of a place she MIGHT be... just look up the location in that terminal over there... itll bring up the nearest cameras and also a satellite view.... that satellite can zoom in enough to see the details of my face if i look up."

::Guardian followed, along with the others, and soon they found themselves within Liquid Crystal Images. Briefly she remembered her FIRST meeting with Haleigh..back when it appeared that she was merely a world reknowned photographer recuited for Morgan's interview with Alexis' magazine. It seemed like that had been YEARS ago rather only months. They were now in a room filled with monitors which offered an impressive coverage of the city and Illustra. Images of violence and unimagined horror were being broadcast simultaneously on all the monitors. Alison knew that if this wasnt dealt with....that the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT would attempt to interviene...and although its current Bush administration would like to think it was all powerful....they were merely arrogant, foolhardy men who would line Morgan's alter thier blood and bones if they engaged her and the hoards of Limbo::
It is 12 noon now, We don't have alot of time. Ororo said to get to Illustra BEFORE sun set...and by midnight, the federal government will attempt to deal with this problem themselves..only making it WORSE for all the country.
Look at the empire state building!
::the monitor showed a building that now looked so monstrous and gothic...and as it zoomed in on one of the sides of the building..you could see HUMANS ensnared in demonic tentcales of the building..as they were being burned alive by ACID or eaten by demons::
the building has GROWN...its now taller than any other structure in the WORLD....Morgan's alter is there!
::a large plateau, jutting out from the top portion of the tower....the bottom of the plateau was carved in the face of a demon......of BLACK..and now a visual gave them Morgan...standing before a demonic alter...surveying the they entire city...with her hands raised and her hair and cape blowing. She was reveling in all of this black lightning bolts pulsating with power as they flash and blasted from the circling black clouds ...and in the distant background.....a large demon with a spectacular physique...but his face was enshrouded in shadow so it was impossible to know just WHO it was::
Morgan is about to perform a spell to permanently bridge the gap between earth and Limbo....bringing ALL of Limbo here and remaking this entire city in its image..all human life will be lost...and we will be over whelmed ourselves. But there's something else..........something I showed Blaze before all of this.
These Monitors cant view events of the past OR in other dimensions. We need to get to Illustra....to the Scrying Glass so that I may prepare you all for what we are about to face.
Does this facility have an underground X-press tunnel? that would lead us to Illustra?

::As Ororo swept away more demons with a vicious flowing winter wind storm, she homed in on Karen's distress call from a high level floor of the building...and appeared before her::
Ororo: Karen, bright lady be praised, you are allright!
::the two women exchange a warm embrace, before Ororo checks her over for any injuries::
I homed in on your distress call...and not a moment too soon. the trouble that has befallen the city....is being caused by your daughter. Let us depart this place and return to Illustra. We will find sanctuary and assistance there.

ORORO!! thank god! I didnt know how much longer i could hold out!!
<<the women exchange a warm embrace...as Ororo informs her of the immediate situation>>
truth be told...my heart of hearts lead me to feel that Morgan was behind this, but i just didnt want to believe it. I guess after all we've been through since her birth, i shouldve known better eh? Or maybe...for a brief moment, i wanted to enjoy the false luxury of having my head in the sand.
<< Karen stood up...stretching and feeling more confident now that she knew she would not be holed up in this building for the duration of the nightmare. Standing tall, She wore a pin stripped tailored blazer along with a matching pin stripped skirt. not as high a hemline as her daughter might wear..but still figure flattering. it was easy to see where Morgan got her bewitching good looks from. Karen's bright blue eyes sparkled with renewed vigor as she looked out of the window.>>
I need to get out of this suit, Ororo, its hardly pratical for fighting demons.. if you feel Illustra we will be safest then I'll follow your lead. by "assistance" I assume you mean "the six"...most of whom are probably RESPONSIBLE for her going off on the deep end in the first place. I never liked them..especially that Cameron King...the slimey little worm.
<< Karen had a beautiful elegance...but her eyes MORE than conveyed the stern disdain she held for Cameron. She viewed him to be not much higher up the ladder of moral decay than her own ex husband, Christopher Victory. She knew her daughter was no SAINT....but she also knew that her daughter (much like herself) did not bend to the will of oppressive men. SHe wanted to find out just what happened and why ...and she would do just that when she met with Cameron and the rest of the team>>

** Knocking down a few more demons, Foxfire rolled down fiercely on the cement. Scooping up shards of glass from the totaled police car. With a flick of her right wrist, she skillfully threw the small but sheer bloody glass across the double yellow traffic line. The glass cut deeply into an on coming demon. Its robust body collapsing onto the ground with another puddle of blood forming around it, while gasping for air and supplying a piercing scream. Pushing herself up, small traces of dirt and debris stuck to the bottom of her knee cap added with a few grass stains. **
"How are we doing Black Widow?"
** She asked, turning around to strike a crawling demon in the skull. The sound of a loud smack echoed throughout the battle, a clue Blaze's boot connected with the target. And just in the nick of time too as more demons enclosed on the team. Foxfire knew these demons could be a risk factor for the others who weren't vulnerable to the TO Virus. Her eyes ran onto Haleigh who seemed to be short circuiting the Virus within the hordes of demons. Carefully watching the red glow emitted from Haleigh's small hands, she saw the power the other woman now possessed. As did she also view her friend covering part of her ear, Blaze knew she was communicating with another agent or operative. Seeing a demon come stumbling towards Haleigh from behind, Blaze opened her hands summoning up her fire power. And in one explosive manner, she hurled the ball of fire towards Haleigh. **
** The flaming ball flew passed Haleigh's right shoulder without harming her, igniting the demon behind her on fire. Its screams went quiet once its bones and skin became ash and dust. The burnt smell of flesh lingered in the air with the trace of death. Finally, Black Widow had her location and she directed them in a building not far away. Running behind Guardian who was second behind Haleigh, she easily jogged with the team. Arriving inside the huge building, Blaze looked around the place before following the others into the elevator. **
** The Mutant felt relieve for that short reprieve, being in a more secure environment, enough for the team to pull together a better form of attack against the never ending demons and locating innocent bystanders. Her green eyes waiting for the small red numbers to count down to the bottom floor but when the door opened with a delicate ding, Blaze frowned. **
"Where are we?"
** She could smell new scents, much more diverse then the previous building. Stepping off the device, she noticed a large fern plant tucked away nicely in the corner with desks and chairs all around. Entering a different corridor, Blaze noticed several large monitors, which were viewing different places and scenes of the city. It was astonishing to see so much carnage and destruction done to the beautiful historic city. What caught her attention was Guardian, who pointing to the central monitor, which depicted an unholy Morgan chanting some sort of spell. Her eyes moved around the monitor to the objects behind Spellbinder. A slight fear attacked her heart catching a muscular being behind her. **
"Black?!?! Could that be him?! Its not possibly...but no other demon has such a fierce and tight physique such as his..."
** The anger and uncertainty fueled Blaze's emotions. Stepping closer towards it, knocking her shoulder accidentally into Prophet. Straining her neck to see more. **
"Zoom in on that creature BEHIND Morgan! I need to know who he is....if my suspicions are correct.."

:: As Cameron and the rest of the Six were taken to Liquid Crystal Images, they were instantly taken from one elevator to the rest. Prophet noticed the change and thought it was quite clever. As they entered what appeared to be some kind of control room, Cameron remembered this place from a few nights he had spent there with Haleigh after the battle in the Citadle, where they both kept a close eye on everyone in Illustra. Not trusting people was a trait that both of them shared. The cameras showed the massive chaos that had befallen the city and it almost looked reminiscent of the 9/11 attacks, only this would be something that WOULD destroy the city and that the US Government would not be able to handle on their own at all. Prophet took a look at the monitor as he saw Morgan high atop the Empire State Building which now seemed to be almost demonic temple of sorts with Spellbinder at the helm. Prophet noticed the face in the carving immediately and concurred with Blaze on her obsvervation as well. ::
"I don't know if that demon is him.. but get a camera to zoom in on that demonic carving because that is his spitting image. Looks like Black is back, but how? Didn't we get rid of him in the Citadle? Did she bring him back from the past? And if so, why would he want to work with her. He spent most if not all of his life trying to kill her..."
:: Everything just seemed so crazy at this moment. First Morgan was taking over the city and bridging the gap between Earth and Limbo and now BLACK was back and in cohorts with Spellbinder herself! He looked over at Blaze. Her mind was racing with thoughts and concerns. The voices were so loud in Cameron's head that he almost couldn't bare it, but he had years to acclimate to his powers and he tried to soothe them into just one. He quietly whispered to her into her mind. ::
"Don't worry Blaze.. I agree with you.. I just don't know how he could possibly be back.. Are you sure you are ready for this? To face.. your sister? After everything that's happened now?"
:: Suddenly, As Cameron was in her mind something triggered a premonition as he was taken to the Orphanage he spent his first few years in after Erika had left him there. He saw Morgan, her smile taunting him in the night as he slept in his bed. He zoomed into the future where Guardian was showing Blaze what exactly was going to happen in the Inferno. He saw his younger version being thrown in the air and hit with a powerful eldritch bolt before the vision faded. Blaze's pupils seemed to widen. Prophet wanted more than ANYTHING to explode on everyone! People knew this? How many knew that his younger self would be sacrificed by the Queen of Bitchcraft herself? But something had changed in Cameron ever since the battle with his own Mother and after Morgan had nearly killed him three times. His outbursts and rampid behavior had many been the fuel to the fire of the Six and to Morgan herself. Everyone was working together for the first time in a long time, and for whatever reason, something told Cameron not to mess with that. Though Blaze experienced the memories Cameron saw as well and now she knew that he knew about his fate. She would be surprised to see he didn't say anything. He simply looked her in the eyes with a someone cold desperation as he turned back to the group ::
"So, what are we going to do? Any word on Ororo?"

< Erika watched the others in a quiet silence. For some reason, watching the Six NOT fighting was an even greater sight than watching them use their powers against each other. In all the time since her first interactions with the Six, this had been the first time she had ever seen them work together, let alone be remotely civil to one another. As the scene atop the Empire State Building was shown, Erika gasped out loud and it was audible to everyone. Slightly blushing, she just didn't expect the scene to be that runic and ornate. This was no longer New York City, but New Limbo. She thought things were bad now, but she had no idea that they could get much worse. Erika stood next to Alison as they both surveyed the scene, she tried to make a note about it, trying to put two and two together. >
"Well, maybe this isn't our version of Black? Isn't Spellbinder part of a trinity? There are three versions of her. Magik, Darkchilde and Spellbinder? Maybe this alternate Black would have no problem working with Spellbinder? And besides, isn't Morgan the least connected of her counterparts to Limbo than the others? Maybe Black is trying to help bridge this gap?"
< It may not have made any sense but Erika had to try and make sense of this situation. She looked around at the Control Room in Liquid Crystal Images and was rather in awe. This was some high tech stuff. She knew that Haleigh had ran some kind of underground Intelligence Agency, but this was getting pretty "Alias" to Erika. She pictured Haleigh as Sydney Bristow in all different kinds of costumes and dodging gun shots and the like. She was such an enigma. Though Erika wasn't sure if this group could hold together through this, they only had each other at this point, and to Erika that would have to be enough. After someone of a reconnection with her sister, she would wear the blood of Spellbinder on her hands if it meant that they could be together. The thought stopped Erika in her tracks. >
"What am I thinking?"
< Had Erika given into so much dark power that she was beyond redemption? That was a thought that Erika would have NEVER had before meeting the Six. This was a very conflicting time for her. She loved using the power to bring her sister back from the Spirit Realm, but she wasn't sure if she would like the repprocussions. >

::Hearing Prophet and Erika...Guardian added in::
You're all forgetting something.. BLACK was an ENERGY CREATURE...not a demon. Further more, Ororo damned Black through the siege perilous...Shockwave and I saw him being PULLED APART once he was forced through the mouth of the gem. Whoever THAT creature is on the screen....this all ties into the time period that Spellbinder spent on the butte out in the ocean while we were on the west coast. there was a moment in which i was not able to sense Morgan in ANY passage of time. it was as though she completely had disappeared. When she arrived again..with her renewed , strikingly younger appearence and savage costume..it was until THAT VERY MOMENT that i was able to sense her in any timeline. I believe whatever happened during the time she disappeared will also explain the reappearence of this demon that appears to be Black. We NEED to get back to Illustra......the scrying glass will provide...
::stoping as she looked at another monitor::
all of you..LOOK!!
:: an aerial view of the ground..the same path to Illustra that Guardian had led Prophet and Alexis down the night the droids of MysTech had begun attacking the city...and now...amidst flashes of explosions...and demons and objects...Ororo could be seen flying...and another woman, blonde, riding side saddle on a large wooden beam [looking every bit like Elizabeth Montgomery in the opening theme of Bewitched]....right behind Ororo. both women fending off demons as flashes of energy could be seen emitting from each of their hands and blasting demons in the air and the ground below::
Ororo went to get Morgan's mother and they are making their way to Illustra!
and whats worse...the nearest, most PROBABLE time thread has the creature that appears to be Black...arriving to ATTACK them! We need to leave now. IS THERE AN XPRESS TUNNEL in this facility??

:: Alexis ran along side the group, heading into Liquid Image. reaching the elevator, the blonde was out of breath. Finally reaching their destination, she stood of to the side listening to the others speak of a plan. Ripping apart the lower half of her shirt, she skillfully wrapped it around the gash on her forearm as she continued to listen to the others discuss the current situation. Bitting down on part of the fabric, she pulled it tight, until finally, the blood stopped oozing from the hellish scratch. Lowering her forearm, she looked up at the scrying pool, looking over the images. ::
"Well...we need to get there quickly. Everything is getting worse by the minute."

Haleigh was stretched rather thin.... for from the moment she'd stepped from the elevator, people had been approaching her with problems. Hales returned solutions to several top priorities, and disregarded the rest, instead changing the focus of her subordinates.
"Initiate lockdown protocol. All agents in the field should finish their objective and go to the nearest safehouse. Begin Disaster Response... its too late for damage prevention. Evacuate all survivors..[pointing to Alexis] treat Miss Quartermaine's wound."
Everyone scattered, following direction, and one person came back with a first aid kit, asking politely to look at Alexis' arm. Haleigh was now bent over the terminal in the corner, typing commands and trying to close in on the figure everyone wanted to ID. she had several monitors change to different views of the Empire state building, including the large flatscreen one on its own wall. She was getting closer to succeeding when Alison pointed out Ororo. She looked up at Gaurdian, nodding... she'd been too distracted to hear her ask the first time.
"Yes of course.... I needed a way to get from here to there quickly after I moved into the tower. We must be on our way quickly."
She led them from the room, back to the elevator where she pressed another exec labeled button. She took them down a darker lit corridor before leading them onto a tram... it was quite nice... and obvious that Haleigh was the only one who ever used it. Haleigh sunk into a soft leather seat and entered an access code once everyone else had done the same. the doors shut and the tram lurched forward, gaining speed.
"Itll only be a couple of minutes... the real task will be getting back into Illustra... Morgan last arranged my security systems to treat the most of us like ENEMIES... I could override it... but not from outside the control room. Alison.... do you think you could fix that?"

::moving with the others, Guardian seated herself in the carrier of the Xpress Tunnel. taking a few moments to check her ensemble and her hair...even SHE had her vain moments::
yes, i can override Morgan's last command into the computer, i was there when she set it, and i have access to all of her security/lock out codes. i can do that while we look at the scrying glass to help us "fill in the blanks".
there's no one inside Illustra...not even Marcus. I dont see us being greeted by anyone upon arrival. Illustra appears to be a CALM in the midst of this storm..only its outside has been taken over by Morgan's magick..but the INSIDE is fortified with her defense spells and will not be transformed.
::they make the trip in mere MINUTES...a very impressive addition added on by Haleigh to link the two buildings , although Morgan would be FURIOUS if she ever knew. Once they arrived at the docking point of Illustra, Guardian knew exactly where to go, and immediately began to move with a purpose. finding the private express elevator that only she and morgan had access to, she immediately drew forth an encrypted card and slid it through the reader...the elevator hesitated for a moment..but responded. Everyone was inside..and making their way now to the TOP floor...Morgan's Penthouse...Karen and Ororo were also on their way up....and so as far as helping citizens of NYC against the demons and GETTING to Illustra on time...the team had accomplished that much...the WORST still lie ahead::

:: As Haleigh directed a person to help treat her wound, the kind officer gently took Alexis' forearm, but only to have it snatched away from him. He looked somewhat startled...she didn't mean to offend him, but she was perfectly fine. ::
"I'm fine. Thank you."
:: Walking away from the officer, she followed the others into the elevator which leaded to Illustra. Leaning against the wall, she listened as Haleigh and Alison spoke of how they were planning on getting into Illustra and up to Morgan's penthouse. Crossing her arms, Alexis waited until finally, they reached Illustra. Stepping out of the elevator, she follwed Alison to yet another elevator which would lead the group to the top floor of Illustra. Glancing around the empty halls, after only a few moments, the evlevator doors opened allowing the group enter. ::
"So basically we have a bunch of spells to overcome before even getting to Morgan's penthouse..."
:: What fun. Alexis stepped into the private elevator awaiting the rest of the group to follow. Something somewhat unnevered Alexis about being in an elevator, heading up to the very top floor of Illustra...knowing that there were defense spells around. They might all be stepping into a trap--literally. But this was the only way to get up to the penthouse, so they had to take their chances..::

** Blaze's anger was furiously boiling to the surface at this "clone" who looked identical to Black! Even if he wasn't the same creature, just seeing him caused a stir inside Foxfire. Both of her hands were tightly clenched into a ball making her knuckles appear to be a ghost white. Her normal soft green eyes were hard and cold, but it was at this time she heard a calming masculine voice fill her head. Looking around, Blaze was surprised until she registered it as Prophet. It took the young Mutant a moment to answer the question, would she be OKAY? Blaze wasn't so sure herself, she felt utterly betrayed by Morgan now by aligning herself with this look a like to Black! That unforgiving creature who brutalized her months ago. She replied back to Cameron quickly, her voice echoed inside his head and Cameron could hear and sense Foxfire's anger. **
I don't know if I'm ready for this....I wasn't prepared for this at all! But I don't plan on backing out now! With this creature who looks identical to BLACK, this will only fuel my fire....which will help me face Morgan! I have to stop pretending she's my "sister" and realize she's my enemy! The final hour draws near, Ororo will see to Morgan but if my sister provokes me, I won't negotiate anymore....all bets are off!
** Guardian's voice called out for everyone to observe the monitors. She noticed Ororo and then the unpossibly, Karen Victoria! Blaze released a very heavy and audible sigh. She knew Karen wasn't found of her, nor did she trust the mutant. But Blaze regarded Karen as stuffy and arrogant with vain tendencies **
"Great! My fan club is here! Although I'm sure she's got other fish in the sea to fry."
** She looked directly at Cameron and Haleigh. Foxfire knew Karen would most likely target them and then herself. Either way, she was in NO mood nor would she be polite if pestered with probing questions. She had a job to do, that was her goal. And if Karen thought about disrespecting the mutant, then hell would literally freeze over. Blaze followed the others out of the hall down to the tram. Stepping inside, she casually sat down, staring out one of the tinted windows. Her eyes piercing into the window until small black droplets rolled down her retina, making her eyes appear to be a black lava. No visible pupil could be pinpointed. Crossing her arms tightly across her chest, she waited for the tram to arrive at Illustra. It came to a slow stop, and Blaze was the second member up besides Guardian. Following the Seer closely, she noted how she vainly check over her hair and makeup. She adored Alison but sometimes she could be conceited. **
** Stopping behind Guardian a foot away while she swiped the reader with the card. Walking inside, she leaned her back against the wall, making room for the others to arrive inside the express elevator. Foxfire's mind was on this Black "twin." She hadn't realized the elevator motioned upwards. Blaze began to slightly shake, her temper was on the rise! Shutting her eyes, she struggled to calm herself. The volcano would erupt eventually, it was normal for Blaze Fielding. Lowering her arms at her waist, she opened her eyes, ready to step off the elevator. What was abnormal was the injury of Shockwave, Blaze didn't bother asking if she was all right, usually she did. Her own blood thirst building by the second. Her chest breathing heavier than before but she somewhat "appeared" to be calm. But that's like telling a hurricane or a tornado to stop....you couldn't....just wait for it to arrive. **

Haleigh nodded to Alison... it was REMARKABLE that they actually COULD carry ona conversation without a single reference from one to the other's inferiority. relaxed into the leather seat, rubbing her eyes. She took a deep breath... theyd barely begun this task and already it was starting to wear on her. Karen would be at Illustra... Haleigh knew Karen didnt like her.... but it really didnt mean too much... because Haleigh was the only one Karen didnt like that could pull the debt card... Since Haleigh'd had Karen watched over and protected from Mystech... and the Husband form hell... she could always quiet any attitude slightly easily. Still... the idea of a permanent bridge between Limbo and New York was depressing.
A flatscreen panel lowered itself from the ceiling of the tram... it flickered with a CI logo before opening a window with a woman's face in it. Those of the six sitting behind Haleigh would get their first look at Jennifer, Haleigh's executive assistant, who had previous only been seen by Morgan at the charming little diner theyd visited the day theyd met.
"Director Davidoff... there you are. You hurried out of there so fast I didn't get to give you your message. Mrs. Allusi called.... she said she tried to reach you on your cell after you called but she got an 'out of service range' response. Shall I play it for you or just recap?"
"Play it Jen."
A smaller window opened up in the lower right corner, it was dark with a light green line that looked like a heart monitor and peaked and valleyed with the pitch of the voice speaking in the message. Haleigh couldn't help but notice Cassandra sounded a little out of breath... or tired or something. She felt a spike in that terrible feeling she'd had for days.
Message: "Peaches... hey... I... uh... listen... we need to talk... I have something to tell you that can't be done on the phone... we'll have to meet.... I can't come back yet... in fact, I think Ill be delayed here for quite some time... give me a call back... we'll arrange something."
Haleigh stared at the screen blankly. "That will be all, Thank you Jen." Why couldn't she have gotten a better sounding message? hales knew there were several things that couldn't be said over the phone... but this sounded worse than even she could imagine. The panel folded back up to the cieling and Haleigh absentmindedly followed Alison to the Elevator, folding her arms across her chest.

::hurrying through the upper floors of Illustra...all was incredibly quiet and silent through the building. Ironically enough, it was Morgan's magicks and invested persence in the building that PREVENTED the inner structure from being taken over by the Inferno as easily as the outside had been...but the temperature WAS quite chilly...and there was no longer any sense of vitality...only that of gloom and silence::
Ororo: well, amazingly enough, we have obtained entry but i suspect this is when things will begin to go from bad to worse. The Six will arrive soon...
::looking over at Karen as the two women take a respite in a hidden alcove on the top floor::
i know you arent fond of them...you do not trust Blaze, and you instinctively blame Cameron and Haleigh for this...

<<sitting on the seat closest to the wall..and looking out of the window...Karen could see the devistation.. the sun was beginning to set..the demons would reach a frenzy in this night under the power of a red moon. She could feel her dauther's wrath and desire for vengeance all through the air. It broke her heart..her beautiful little girl who was so bright, fearless, and outgoing as a child...was now this cold, heartless woman who surrendered her humanity>>
Ororo.....rationally speaking, i realize that there's no way you or I could have prevented this. But i DO blame Haleigh and Cameron...and I've NEVER trusted Blaze. She's christopher's daughter..she looks like him...and has his ways about her. Morgan instinctively wished to protect her upon realizing they were sisters, that was Morgan's nature. But can we REALLY trust Blaze? and when this is over....what is going to be done about Cameron and Haleigh..THEY are in largely responsible for this.

Ororo: I do understand your anquish, and I too am not fond of those two. they have thus far erroded the fabric of this team. But one thing at a time my friend. First we save the city and our Morgan....and then, let ME deal with those two.

::Guardian stands at the face of the doors on the elevator..as they near their destination::
this wont be easy....or pleasant. Karen is very agitated, Ororo is very pessimistic. Not that they do not have just cause. Haleigh, Cameron, stay OUT of Karen's way...she blames you two more than anyone for what has happened. She has never forgiven Blaze..for simply being who she is, the daughter born from an extra marital affair had by Christopher. She consider's Blaze to be "Christopher's Daughter"..NOT "Morgan's half-sister"...and barely tolerates her for Morgan's sake...but when the final hour comes, her presence here will become most vital.
We'll have a few moments to look to the scrying glass for info before this creatuer who appears to be "Black" shows up.
::they reach the top floor...a soft ding heralds the opening of the doors. they can ALL feel the bitter chill in the air...and the eerie silence. it was as if time had stopped within illustra. the halls were grey and dimly lit...as Alison stepped out and waited for the others.::

06-14-2005, 09:26 PM
** Blaze couldn't believe what Alison was saying, so she carried Christopher's blood, so what?! It wasn't her fault her "father" couldn't keep his dick in his pants. Why should she suffer because of it. Rolling her neck around on her shoulders, Blaze's eyes easily expressed anger. Turning to Guardian, she started to lose it, throwing her fist violently against the elevator door. **
"DAMNIT Alison! Why must I PAY for who I am....whose SEED I am from! I'm not thrilled to be his daughter but its not FAIR I am judged because of it. If anyone is Christopher's daughter is MORGAN, look at her out there destroying the city! I don't mean to throw a tantrum....I'm just not thinking clearly....and I cannot hold back my emotions anymore....just please....keep me AWAY from Karen! I know she detests me....but there's so much more to me than anyone has ever known....if only I was given a chance."
** Looking down, Blaze massaged her knuckle, which was cut up from her strike. The elevator itself suffered a large dent from Blaze's rage. Shaking it off, she followed Guardian off the elevator. Shoving her hands inside her pockets, Blaze avoided eye contact by ALL, a sign she was upset. Her emotions were so rapid by now, she continued to struggle her internal and external conflicts. She at least knew Guardian didn't judge her...the Seer saw through Blaze's protected heart. Her eyes adjusted to the dimly lite hallway, focusing her eye sight more accurately. **
"Will she ever give me a chance Alison...I have to know....please..."
** Blaze's voice was desperate for answers and she knew Alison would openly tell her. She hated this situation, it was taking a heavy toll on Blaze emotionally and physically. Probably more emotionally then anything though for she felt more than any of the six, her emotions so passionate. But when the time came, Foxfire could be counted upon. **

:: Looking up at Alison, Alexis listened....Karen? Ahh great. The woman who taught Morgan everything she knows. Either she was a major bitch, or she was a major bitch. Ha, what a choice! Shifting her eyes to Blaze, she could see how angered the woman was....this entire situation as completely draining, and the fact that she was even sane was amazing. Keeping a close eye on Blaze she watched as the woman exploded....honestly, Alexis knew EXACTLY where she was coming from. Because she was raised by Adam Chandler and not raised by her real family, Helena considered her a black sheep....and Helena's influence over the rest of the Quartermaine's only made Alexis even more hated in the Q's eyes. So if anyone could relate to Blaze's frustration and pain, it was Alexis. Watching everyone step out of elevator, Alexis gently took Blaze's arm, stopping her. ::
"I understand your frustration, Blaze. Believe me...I do."
:: Shock's voice was quiet as she spoke sincerly to Foxfire. Looking into her eyes for a few moments, she let go of Blaze's arm before stepping forward past the woman. Looking down the dark corridor, the meta human raised her hand as the dimly lit hallways eluminated a little brighter, making it easier for the six to see. Looking to Alison, the meta human spoke once again. ::
"You keep mentioning how Karen blames Haleigh and Cameron for everything....and ....how she dislikes Blaze...But, does she have a problem with me? Perhaps since i'm the middle man in this, I could do something to keep Karen in line during this ordeal."
:: It was just a suggestion, because throughout this caper, it seemed like Morgan would always bypass Alexis and go straight for the others....perhaps Karen would look at Alexis the same way. ::

:: Cameron knew that soon they would be standing in front of Ororo and Karen. He knew that the Mother of Morgan would most certainly side with her daughter and hate Cameron and Haleigh. If only Karen could see how cruel her daughter could be without any provokation from himself or Haleigh. That was the thing that people never seemed to understand. Cameron wouldn't have been able to draw that much rage out of Morgan if it hadn't existed there for some reason or another. Blaze talked about paying for who she was and that was exactly what Prophet had been doing ever since he became part of the Six. He was the only man and by being a man alone Morgan was almost predisposed to hate him. But that wasn't his fault. Sure he may be arrogant and overbaring at times but so was Morgan. He didn't understand why he should have to censor himself in order to stop Morgan from falling down a path she would have went down without his help. As the Express Tunnel stopped and the Six entered Illustra, Cameron was immediately intuned to the harsh and coldness within the Building. It was as if time had frozen inside the mighty building. Everything was the same and even though it should have been a comforting thought, it wasn't. If Morgan could protect Illustra from the darkest magicks of her own, than what chance did the Six have at stopping her at all? He tried to intervene. ::
"Alison, I will stay away from Karen. I promise. My only hope is that she doesn't explode upon seeing the three of us. Blaze, right now we can't afford to get our feelings hurt. We need to be strong... set aside our differences and work together, if only to save the city.. and Morgan.."
:: He went back to what she had said before about knowing that her sister was the enemy. Prophet wondered if Blaze would try to be the martyr when they faced Morgan. Would she try and solve this herself? She shouldn't. Blaze would most surely get killed, but right now Cameron was in survival mode. The same one he learned from his time on the streets. If it was anyone who knew how to survive, it would be the three who had been killed before and came back. There would be Black Widow, Prophet and Foxfire standing up at the end of this, like they always did. Or at least he hoped. Would they be able to live to see another day? The tone in the elevator had been that of an impending doom. Things were so serious and everyone must have been contemplating whether or not they would make it. He waited for Guardian to lead them to the Scrying Glass. Her appearance would most certainly soothe the thoughts of Karen and Ororo. ::

<< Before Guardian could answer, a clap of thunder seems to UNDERSCORE the sudden appearence of Karen and Ororo..standing tall and facing the group in the hall>>
<<in an icy voice, dripping with disdain>>: i think we can manage to work together long enough to reach our common goals dont you?
<< Karen stood tall...with a very unforgiving facial expression.it was a stark contrast to her beauty. it was easy to see where Morgan got her bewitching looks from. It was unclear just how Karen manifested her magicks either. Her icy blue eyes zeroed in on Blaze, Cameron and Haleigh..giving them each a hatefull glare before looking upon Alison and Alexis>>
<< Turning to Alison and embracing her>> Alison....im glad you're allright. Ororo told me of your ordeal.
Miss Chandler-Quatermaine? <<extending her hand to shake Alexis'>> Dr. Victoria.
<< looking back at the rest of the group without bothering to acknowledge them. before turning away to walk with Ororo and Alison. it was clear that these three women were at the fore front of this caper...with Alexis having a BETTER chance at a rapport with Karen and the rest of the group being smart to interact with primarily Ororo or Alison. There was no telling what Karen knew about them..or what she would say or DO if things degenerated that far...and now was not the time for "in fighting". >>

::hugging Karen Back...Guardian smiled and was happy to see her surrogate mother after all this time::
<<sigh>> it has been rough, but with Ororo and my sister, Erika's help...I managed to survive the first phase of this nightmare. Let us pray we all make it through the FINAL act.
::yet ANOTHER first, as Guardian referred to Erika as "her sister"...without a hint of strain or disgust. perhaps it was absent minded, or on purpose..but either way it was another first for the cold and marble hard Alison.::
::the two older women and Alison made their way down the hall, leaving Alexis, Blaze, Haleigh and Erika standing there. reaching the double doors, SURPRISINGLY there was no warding spell. Not since they had left for Erika's mansion on the west coast. Morgan apparently didnt think she'd be gone for long..but either way..it made for EASY access and saved time::
Well...we are inside Morgan's penthouse. its just as chilly and stagnant in here. Maybe now we can get a few answers to some of the more confusing aspects of this situation. not to mention a CLOSER look at what Morgan is doing.
