I read various things about this year's comiccon & apparently it was the venue of choice for everything from a public appearence of the newest incarnation of 'Charlie's Angels' to the display of all kind of products & promotions.

This is definately a different comiccon than what i remember as an adolescent or even in my 20s.

Did anybody here go to comiccon this year?

No, but I wanted to go so bad! I'm aiming to go next year though. :) Mainly because they have the True Blood and Vampire Diaries panels, plus i'm sure some really cool movie panels since there are good movies coming out in the 2012.

I definitely want to hind the San Diego Comic-Con at least once I've only ever been to a few of the smaller conventions to its on my list of things i need to do in life. I just watched the converge this year on G4 but till it always seems like the excitement is HUGE between the collectables, the cosplay and the panels

Hehe!! I love Alex and Kristin's interaction together, it's so adorable.

If you go on youtube and look up True Blood Comic Con 2011 they have videos of the full panel. :)

im glad to see that more women are drawn to comicon now. in my day, comicon & smaller venues saw women as a rarity & so my mom insisted accompanying me to several of them to make sure I was safe. I wanted to dress up as Magik, but at that time...decent costumes for her were scarce. THESE DAYS they are much easier to come by...I may do another comicon for fun but i'd want to go w/ a group, that adds to the fun of it all & i'd definately dress up as Magik this time!

If you checked out any photos the cosplay was really good his year and they had a wide array of costumes/characters rather then the 3,000 slave Leias
