Aussie filmmakers (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050531f.php#) Leigh Whannell & James Wan (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050531f.php#) spoke with About.com (http://actionadventure.about.com/od/news/p/aasaw2preview.htm) about the horror (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050531f.php#) sequel to "Saw" recently and touched upon some of the traps we'll see in the movie (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050531f.php#) - "I can tell you there's something involving syringes and there's also a nasty trap that we feel competes with the jaw trap from Saw 1. But you're going to have to wait and find out".
Meanwhile, producer Gregg Hoffman spoke with Bereitsgesehen (http://www.bereitsgesehen.de/sawinterview.htm) and confirmed they originally purchased another script for it and have since rewritten it - "It has been changed almost entirely. If you had the original script we bought, you would never recognize it now. Several characters from the original draft remain, as does the basic setting. Everything else is completely new, especially the scenes involving Jigsaw".
Meanwhile, Robert Rodriguez talked about the "Sin City (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050531f.php#)" sequel as well with About.com (http://actionadventure.about.com/od/celebrityinterviews/a/aa060105_3.htm) and confirmed it's just one sequel being planned, not two, with shooting starting in January. Are there any returning characters from Sin City in the "A Dame to Kill For?" storyline? Rodriguez says "Yeah, that's what's cool is about "Dame to Kill For" is a lot of the characters that are dead in this movie are alive in that one because it takes place before, so Mickey Rourke's in there. That book is kind of cool because it takes place before."
