Anybody here like her? Personally i don't. What does she do beside stand there half naked? Lil Kim at least had TALENT to go with her overt sexual displays. She appears in EVERYBODY'S video from Mariah Carey to Ludacris and beyond and she's supposed to be the next female rap phenom? I personally don't think so....what's anyone else's opinion of her here?

I am not that enamored with her at all, and she ruins "My Chick Bad" by Ludacris. He rips it and she does nursery rhyme shit. It just shows that once Queen Latifah and Salt n Pepa put the mics down that women in rap took a nosedive. Sure, you had Lil Kim, Remy Ma (thug, in jail), Foxy Brown (not bad, but horrible attitude and now deaf or nearly so) and Rah Digga (not bad, but seems destined to leave to act) but other than that...a wasteland with an occasional unattractive underground lady that does not take off.

I hate that video killed it for the talented...you MUST look good. That weeds out WAAAAY too much talent in rap.

dont forget MC Lyte who is one of my personal favorites. there's no reason why she shouldnt have lasted a bit longer save for the fact that as you say, LOOKS came to take precedent over talent. Lil Kim was one of the few who had BOTH (although she has since gone too far with her plastic surgery) but Trina? ugh she's awfull. Remy Ma, i only saw her in the "Lean Back" vid so i dont know much about her. I loved Rah Diggah's "Party & Bullshit" one of the few rap songs that is a true dance hit.

MC Lyte was great. The funny thing is, she is not an UGLY woman, video just made you have to look TOO good. That is what made Lil Kim, a solid 8 in her own right at first, carve her face up.

And the DOC was tragic. Because he did not wear his seat belt, he got his vocal chords sliced in a car accident.
