She passed away Wednesday, February 2 at the age of 95.

She also bragged an impressive Broadway career in the 1940s and 1950s, worked with Rock Hudson in "Seconds" and did time in primetime, with repeated stints on "Wagon Train" (as different characters!).
She was married to late actor Philip Bourneuf for 43 years and had no children - aside from her daytime family, that is!
Having fallen victim to a spate of strokes late in life, Reid was living in a fancy managed care facility in Beverly Hills, where word is she received visitors.
"She's just as feisty as ever," costar Bill Hayes (Doug) told fans in November. "She's a part of the show and will be as long as the show is on the air. The writers write in her name and her soul is there."
"Frances is so cute and sharp," Susan Seaforth Hayes (Julie) chimed in. "She came back on the show and she was supposed to pick up the telephone, turn and say, 'Marlena is the serial killer.' Instead, she turned to us and says, 'Marlena is the silly killer.' Oh my! Alice is still with us and always will be, and you [fans] will always be in her heart, as she is in yours."
Actors are already speaking out about the loss via Twitter.
"I'm so sad to hear the news about Frances Reid," Alison Sweeney tweeted. "She was a truly talented actress & and we are all lucky & proud to have known her. RIP… Kristian (Alfonso) & I were sharing stories of her in the make up room this am."
"She was a great lady whom I feel honored to have known," Nadia Bjorlin tweeted. "The heart and soul of Days of our Lives."
"This is a very sad day, indeed; not only for me personally, but for the 'Days of our Lives' family and the entire Hollywood community," 'Days' head honcho Ken Corday says. "From day one until she taped her last scene, Frances epitomized the past, present and future of the show. Frances was truly one of a kind. Her class cannot be matched and her shoes cannot be filled… we will miss her all the rest of our days.”
"Soap Opera Digest" is gathering and posting thoughts from the "Days" family in their Frances Reid Memorial.
RIP Frances Reid. You will most certainly be missed.
