VH1 Divas Live -2009

VH1 Divas is to return in 2009. It will be live on September 17 2009 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House in Brooklyn, New York. On July 21 2009 a press release was sent out and confirms the first four out of eight performers. Paula Abdul will host. On August 11th 2009 in a interview the The Pulse, Kelly Clarkson said she would be singing her latest single "Already Gone" and will also be singing a duet with Adele. It will also feature Leona Lewis' lead single to her album, Echo, "Happy".

Yeah, this has got to be the SHITTIEST line up for a "Divas" installment. VH1 must REALLY have been out of ideas. NONE of those main performers qualifies as a "DIVA". The Special Guests have more credibility than the main performers do LOL! I so hope Kathy Griffin slams more than one of them.

While I am a fan of Kelly Clarkson and Adele, I really wouldn't consider any of these woman Diva's. Unless the show was pitching the idea of who they believe will be the 'future' Divas in the music industry, the list doesn't make sense. :shrug:

BUT, I am looking forward to watching Kelly and Adele perform. :) And, like Farrah, i'm interested in seeing if Kathy Griffin bashes any of them LOL.

They are pitching the show as the "Divas of Tomorrow" so I guess it makes sense to me. I agree I really love Adele.. Kelly Clarkson while I like her, not that excited to see her. I do love me some Jordin Sparks and her new CD is pretty damn good. I will probably tune in.

I think we have to remember that shows evolve and that there aren't really any "Divas" out there anymore ya know?
