In Monday's Walt Disney (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8213#) Investor Conference Studio Presentation (listen here (http://media.corporate-ir.net/media_files/IROL/12/129198/agenda/disney_2005.html)), studio Chairman Dick Cook revealed new details about the two sequels to Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=7782).

Cook announced that Pirates of the Caribbean (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8213#) 2 will hit theaters summer of 2006, with Pirates of the Caribbean 3 following in the summer of 2007. He said that with combined theatrical and DVD/VHS sales, the first film has already generated more than $1.2 billion in the first 19 months since opening.

Cook added that the second installment will be called Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (http://www.comingsoon.net/films.php?id=6175). He said the plot goes as follows: "This time around, Johnny returns as Captain Jack Sparrow and is caught in yet another tangled web of supernatural intrigue. It turns out, Captain Jack owes a blood debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman. If Jack can't figure a crafty way out of this one, he'll be cursed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation. And as if that weren't enough, Captain Jack's problems throw a huge wrench into the wedding plans of the blissful Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who quickly find themselves thrust into Jack's misadventures."

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Gore Verbinski, and stars Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8213#), and Keira Knightley are all back for both sequels. Naomie Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, and Alex Norton also recently joined the cast.

Meanwhile, the website Mice Age (http://www.miceage.com/allutz/al012805e.htm) has up new pictures taken from the Universal Studios (http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8213#) tram tour. FILM stunner Keira Knightley cuts a fine figure as she masters the skills of SWORD-FIGHTING.

The 20-year-old actress showed off some swashbuckling moves as she rehearsed for the first of two sequels to her supernatural movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

Keira, wearing a tiny white T-shirt which exposed her midriff, was snapped practising fight scenes with stuntmen and fellow actors on the island of St Vincent, where the film is set.

Also at the "Kingdom of Heaven" junket this morning, Orlando Bloom (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#) spoke a bit about the two "Pirates of the Caribbean (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#)" sequels they began shooting about nearly four weeks ago in the Caribbean.

Bloom, looking tanned and with the same goatee and a slightly longer hairstyle than the last "Pirates" movie (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#), confirmed that shooting will run throughout the rest of the year with filming to move to Los Angeles once the Caribbean shoot is up. After that he's going back to London for some much needed R&R.

Oddly enough despite estimations, he confirmed that they seem to be shooting the two films (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#) separately and he hasn't read the third film's (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#) script as yet. The Caribbean shoot is mostly for the second and some of the third film, most of the third will be done in Los Angeles. The actor put on about 15-20 pounds of muscle for "Kingdom of Heaven" but looks to have dropped much of that extra mass for "Pirates."

He reprises his role of Will Turner in the sequel and like the first film "Will is the straight man who moves the story forward and he continues that. He becomes more of a pirate, but piracy is not in his blood in the same way it is for Jack Sparrow" says Bloom.

But the character is going to develop it sounds like - "there are plans to darken Will up a little, and make him a little more questionable which will then resolve themselves".

As for the Keith Richards (http://www.darkhorizons.com/news05/050408d.php#) rumours - "I've heard the rumours as well as you. I think if he makes an appearance it will probably be in the third movie and we'll see what happens".
