there's the perfect mix of physical power, magick, and intelligence and fighting ability.

I'm not too sure about the "new" Guardian...I think it should be Heather Hudson but its the guy who hosted the energies of the "collective". Talisman hates him...and with her power, he should tread lightly.

Anyone else aware of this team?

Yes, and they are very well balanced.

Beta Ray is the match for Thor sans Odinpower, and the rest of the team has the other bases covered, from speed to magic to tech.

And a VERY good field leader in US Agent. i read a bit about how they got together and I will probably keep up with that at least intermittently.

I love this team when the mini first came out announced as an ongoing. It has 3 of my favorite characters ever Beta Ray Bill, USAgent and Talisman. And Talisman has good reason to hate him he kind of killed her father. :( and just as i started to see more and like him too. I hope there is another mini or maybe a ongoing in their future.

He killed Heather too :( IMO he doesnt deserve the name and mantle of "Guardian".

Talisman refuses to have anything to do with the team now because of him but i think they'll find a way to bring her back into the fold. She and Arachne are easily my favorites of the team.

I think that was the first time in the middle of a comic book i just stopped and yelled out FUCK YOU to the creator. I was just getting into Alpha Flight reading their last mini and then I read New Avengers and they're all getting killed in the first 5 or 6 pages.
