SuperBoy Prime vs. Phoenix

Allright....i've been hearing alot about Super Boy Prime, how he's this uber bad ass...(it would take DonDaddyD to probably best describe this character since he was SO IN LOVE withhim...and yet, i dont think DDD will be here anytime soon lol)

and then of course there's PHOENIX...WHITE PHOENIX OF THE CROWN which is supposed to be the ULTIMATE Phoenix avatar (Jean Grey).

Now anyone who knows me knows I'm a stickler for continuity (Phoenix II, III, IV and their distinctions) I dont believe this would even be worth discussing if we were talking about Phoenix II.

Phoenix III might be the best candidate for Super Boy Prime based on what i've heard about him but i dont know enough to be sure.

and then there's Phoenix IV (White Phoenix of the Crown according to Morrison and Phoenix End Song :rolleyes: ) ,

Would Superboy Prime be powerfull enough to face let alone survive ANY version of Phoenix?

The thing that makes that dork powerful is that he has the pre-Crisis on Infinite Earth power levels of Superman. He was juggling planets, and punching through dimensions under his own power, no weakness to magic, and the whole beating down the entire DCU and it took a "Guardian of the Universe" to kamikaze him out of our universe last time he was around to end his rampage. If he can force his way into the white hot room and take her by surprise he might have a shot. Its been shown (out of continuity) that it is possible to kill and wound Phoenixes in the white hot room (X-men Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar What if") if you are powerful enough. If she goes to him hims getting taken apart on a molecular level.

see..thats my problem with Morrison and Endsong and even House of M....what the hell is this "WHITE HOT ROOM" shit? (i know what it is...but you get what i mean) We never heard of it in 30 years and now suddenly its Phoenix's achilles heel. it SUCKS. :rolleyes:

This is why i prefer classic interpretation. like i said, Phoenix II? here is no battle..he's dead before he THINKS of attacking. Phoenix III? I could see those two battling through the stars before she finally eats him in her raptor form. Phoenix IV, the White Phoenix? I could see HER getting killed in the White Hot Room LOL! :p seriously, if someone was powerfull enough to force their way into the White Hot Room...wouldnt they basically be able to kill ANYONE?

Thats exactly what he is. Hes a spoiled little brat that keeps killing D-list characters in every little temper tantrum about his universe being gone. When he got punched out by Superman, Supergirl and Power Girl he broke down and cried. The "uber badass" villain began to cry, whine and lash out like a child. His whole thing his he wants to wipe out the DCU so his world can come back and he can be a big hero :rolleyes: If it means him being dead i would gladly talk Dan Dido and Joe Quesada into another DC/Marvel crossover
