Silverclaw is an Avenger, she's battled with Task Master, Kulan Gath and even Ms. Marvel. She's a shapeshifter similar to Wolfsbane and Catseye but unlike those two her "were forms" are not limited to cat-like creatures. She can assume the characteristics and features of multiple animals at one time while still retaining a humanoid form. In her transitional forms, she gains additional abilities such as flight and claws She can alter her size (witness her transforming into a GIANT sloth or a GIANT snake) , has super strength, enhanced speed/agility and has been shown to be able to resist/break free of forced transformation ...she has complete control of her physical form and when battling, her skin assumes a silvery hue. its not YET determined if that is merely cosmetic or if it has armour like quality. Most of the animals silverclaw has manifested so far are animals that are native to the rain forests and jungles.

Beast Boy is a long time member of the Teen Titans, he too is a shapeshifter that can assume a variety of animal forms but unlike Silver Claw he has no "were forms" and cannot assume multiple characteristics/features of animals at once, nor can he alter his size when in animal form. he can only assume the natural size of whatever animal form he takes. his strength and agility are limited to the forms he assumes, where as Silver Claws agility is not limited to that, he can, however transform into some animals that appear to be extinct.

If these two were to battle in and through a rain forest, who would you pick to come out on top?

Hard to say. Silverclaw has the advantage of being able to make herself a chimera, with different animal part at once. But Beast Boy is a seasoned veteran who has faced the toughest DC has to offer and survived. In addition, he has shown the ability to also adopt alien life forms, some of which have been quite formidable.

Without knowing SCs level of experience, I am tempted strongly to take BB...but not at a huge advantage.

That's true about Beast Boy's alien forms.

As for SC's experience? She doesnt have her own rogue's gallery. She's tussled with a few power houses like Kulan Gath. Her fight with Ms. Marvel was pretty intense, you cant be a novice and fight someone like her.

Silverclaw was only recently liberated from the negative zone (the prison for the non registered people) and was most recently seen under the thrall of the Pupper Master along with several others.

Beast Boy is woefully susceptible to telepathic/mental manipulation himself.

Silverclaw fights with such SPEED and fluid movement...and of course I lean toward her because i think she's so unique. She needs more action in the Avengers.

I think she could be valuable to a New Avengers team...One other thing I forgot until I started to read further. BB has a were form, kind of a DC "can you top this thing". It gives him abilities beyond the best found in nature for each sense (ie, vision greater than an eagle, speed exceeding a cheetah, strength beyond T-Rex, etc), but he is quite feral in this form and hard to control.
