This part of the forum hasn't been used in quite a while so I'd thought I'd dust it off a bit with a brand new very exciting mega show-down!

Team One: The Gotei 13

Now most people know that the Thirteen Squad Captain's of The Soul Society are pretty powerful...when they are within their own realm but since the only member of the L.E.S. capable of taking spirit form is Captain Universe both teams will have to play in the neutral battlefield of Immortus's Limbo. Why Limbo? Because it gives neither team an advantage...they are both out of their element and equal unto each other. Thus ensuring that there is no onesideness or at the very least no unfair advantages. Now...considering the circumstances...and the playing field itself I would have to say that the battle could go either way. While the Gotei 13 are powerful they have never faced a cosmic being like Captain Universe or one who's strength increases as his anger does (the Hulk of course) and they also don't usually encounter no-spiritual power magics such as The Shroud's Darkforce or Doctor Druid's Mystical Arts so there are some personal advantages on that side. But where the Gotei 13 lack in experience they make up for in ingenuity.

Their spiritual power allows for them to access a variety of interesting skills which they use against powerful foes like the Hollows or the Bounts. Now while Zaraki could very well beat most of the other team however, those bells and that eyepatch he puts on could very well mean disaster for him if he were to go up against Captain Universe (who is very well versed in the art of Matter Manipulation, Cosmic Energy Manipulation and taking advantage of the disadvantages of others) but that doesn't mean the Gotei would lose indefinately as their Squad One Captain could very well be the key to victory...that is if the Old Man is up to taking on a Cosmic who ranks at top effiency in the Marvel Cosmic Hierarchy (meaning of course that he is just a couple points below the Silver Surfer.) But anyways...like I said this battle could go either way...it all depends on teamwork, power, strength, ingenuity, and of course how they use their strange, ever-changing surroundings to their advantage. Personally...I would go for a tie with a few losses on both sides. But what do you all think?

Gotei lack in experience??? Dude that don't make much sense to me. Aren't most of them really old?
Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai is over 2000 years old, he taught Shunsui and Jūshirō at the Shinigami Academy indicating that they too are pretty old.

Byakuya Kuchiki's adopted sister is 150 years old, and i do belive he is one of the newest captains. I'd say the Gotei 13 has plenty experience.

I do belive all the captains except Zaraki knows Kidou (magic)

When it comes to the Law Enforcement Squad i'd say the biggest and baddest there are Captain universe and Hulk. I don't know too much about the various members powers.

Hulk might prove to be the biggest threat from the squad, initially i thought let Zaraki take him on. But thinking about it, Kaname Tousen's bankai might be the best thing for taking him out, leaving Hulk in a pitch back space, stripped of his hearing, sight and smell.

Im going for the Gotei 13 FTW, they have a vast array of powers(Shunpo, kidou, Shikai and Bankai), and the power to back it up as well.

This is a tough matchup for me to judge, mostly due to my lack of in-depth knowledge of Gotei 13. I will say this. it will be somewhere between tough and impossible to simply conjure away the hulk OR Captain Universe, and Dr. Druid's magic defenses are plenty capable. The living Lightning and Namora are also high quality combatants, with Namora being the equal of her cousin The Submariner.

As for using any means to disable the Hulk physically, it almost never lasts for long, and never long enough to end him.

My verdict goes like this. If you can tell me (believably) how the take out the core heavy hitters of Druid, Lightning, the Hulk, Namora, and Universe, more power to you.

I meant that they are inexperienced fighting entities such as Captain Universe or Dr. Druid. The Gotei 13 may have experience fighting things like Hollows, Bounts, Arrancar, etc but they have never encountered nor even conjured up in there minds that there could be life beyond the ken of both Human and Soul Reaper. Never in any of the Bleach arcs does a Soul Reaper ever encounter something remotely close to the power of Captain Universe or the non-spiritual power related magic of Dr. Druid. Now I am not saying they are inexperienced all-together I am saying that they are inexperienced in facing down certain types of opponents due to the fact that they have never encountered them before, it happens all the time with nearly every powerful character (Superman vs. Doomsday anyone?) they encounter something they've never dealt with before and get their ass handed to them justly. But in doing so it makes the stronger...and more prepared for the next time they face an opponent like Captain Universe. Do you see the point I am trying to make here SiD?

I see where you are pointing doc, didn't read it properly :whistle:

but that would go both ways if you ask me. Its not like anyone from L.E.S have encountered many people who can "release" their zanpaktous and make use of Shikai and Bankai.

The reason why im thinking Gotei has a slight egde is that while the Law Enforcement Squad has several really powerful members the Gotei members are all on a very high level. So im thinking several of the L.E.S members might be quickly taken out (Bucky Barnes, The Whizzer, The Rose, Red Raven) Battling Jack Murdock) they would most likely be taken out quickly allowing the captains to team up on adversaries, and then slowly overwhelm the Law Enforcement Squad. Then again i still haven't seen many of the L.E.S members in "action" in comics so i might be wrong or have underestimated the power of L.E.S
