Manga: the other comics

lol alright i thought since there were some folks on this board who enjoy manga i be nice to have a thread were we can talk. i read Black Cat, Lupin III, Trigun, Mar and some of the Gundams already. Currently working my way through Naruto, Bleach and One Piece

Well currently I am only working my way throught two Manga's right now which are Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle and of course Bleach. However since money is tight and Manga's are usually more expensive then comics I will have to wait a couple of months at least before I can start looking at buying more stuff.

i haven't read or even heard of Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle whats it about is it any good?

Reading Naruto, Bleach, Hellsing when i find it, and One Piece (the latter in norwegian so im WAYYYY behind)

This will tell you everything BK. It has alternate realities, romance, action, adventure and the famous Mokona Modoki from Magic Knight Rayearth. It is really good and I think you would like it.

it looks good and seems to crossover with a lot of CLAMP's other work if i can find it in bookstores i'll give it a try.

Been reading a lot more manga lately. Mostly going through my old collections of weekly shonen jump comics, coro coro comics and a few others i used to get all the time at the bookstore in Okinawa when i was much younger. Out of those, i've been looking mostly at:

Ryu Knight, Rokudenashi Blues, Slam Dunk, Mind Assassin, G-Gundam, Captain Tsubasa.

If you havn't seen or heard of those before, check 'em out. You just might like them. :)

i used to have a shonen jump subscription till bout 3-4 mouths ago when i realized it wasn't worth getting then i moved to only distributions (scanlations) just cause i couldn't wait so now i'm in volume 37 somewhere

It appears last week was a holiday in Japan thats why there were no comics. new this week Bleach 287, Naruto 366, One Piece 467 and more. Please flock to the legal or illegal distributors now to get your copies.

Bleach 287 was really good this week. I hate what they did with Grimmjaw :( (trying not to spoil it)

Bleach and Naruto are really sweet right now, with the revelation around Tobi and Akatsuki Leader.

Bleach, well WOW, i wont rule out Grimmjow just yet, finally know the number of Noitora... Still curious about who is the number one espada.

i was wondering do you think Aizen used the Orb of Distortion on himself and is the #1?

Don't he is number one.

Highlights:the beginning of the fight between Sasuke and his brother

all in all a good setup issue

I really hope Ero sennin will emerge the victor, he's one of the best characters in Naruto, and he's crazy as hell, i can't picture the series without him.
As for Sasuke, i don't mind if Itachi wins :D

Zaeropollo has started fighting Renji and Uuryu Ishida and even went into his released form.
Noitora and Ichigo has started fighting and Noitora reveals he watched the entire fight between Grimmjow and Ichigo.

It will be a huge fight but i don't think they are going to kill off Jiraiya this early it would be too soon to kill him.

and Zaeropollo has one fugly release but his power is cool. I wonder if there is a limit to the amount of copies he can make?

Wow, this Pain character in Naruto seems pretty bad ass, i have a bad feeling when it comes to Jiraya surviving this.
It was sweet to get to know how the Saanin got their names as well.

Double post

Just read the latest Naruto and Bleach Chapters (376 & 297)

the naruto chapter wasn't that good. More jiraya flashbacks, a little power demonstration from Jiraya, Ma and Pa's side. Pain does a human summoning and summons 2 akatsuki members. one of them kinda looks like Hidan, but you can't see his face. I wish the fight could really start, Pain only does summons for now.


The Bleach chapter was better, Ichigo tried to come for Nell's help, he managed nothing but getting beaten by Tesla (Noitora's Fraccion). Szayel Aporro Grantz of course was unharmed by the special Cero blast from nell's fraccion.
At the end of the chapter guess who shows up.......... Zaraki FREAKING Kenpachi, in the middle of Hueco Mundo :D

haven't read Bleach yet so i'm looking forward to seeing Zaraki start busting heads. :D

Naruto i did read and got to say after all the hyping this kid's eyes are getting they better be awesome in a fight.

New Bleach chapter is out, kenpachi is not the only new shinigami in Hueco mundo. Byakuya, Unohana Retsu, and Mayuri Kurotschi has also come, and with them their vice captains as well ('cept Renkji who was already there)

here are what seems to be the next fights.

Mayuri vs zaeropollo (who's got the best tech, Mayuri has a new look)
Unohana vs Exseqiuas squad
Byakuya vs Zomari Le Roux (7th Espada)
and of course Zaraki Vs Noitora Jiruga. Hot diggety damn im looking forward too alot of sweet fights now.
