Just to let anyone that didn't get it know:

She-Hulk kicked Iron man up and down the Helicarrier in this issue. He could do NOTHING with her. In fact, when he spoke of "putting her down" she LAUGHED at him as she proceeded to beat him like he owed her money. If not for the serum that they are working on to inhibit metahuman powers, she might have killed him.

This issue reinforces a notion that I have had for a while: She-Hulk is as formidable an opponent as any in the MU (non-cosmic). her combination of brawn and fighting ability are as good as anything I have seen in a while. Stark screwed up by pissing her off, because if she joins the Hulk and his crew...

Good! I'm glad she beat him down lol. He's been a prick ever since the civil war nonsense and needed a lesson in humility. It's just like how he thought he was the shit when he NARROWLY beat Psylocke in Contest of Champions II and then he got his ass handed to him by X-force en masse!!

She's not the first one to put ironman on his ass though. Ms. Marvel stormed into his office and thrashed him after he called himself "outing" her alcohol problem and she dragged him from one said to the other :haha:

I've always liked She-Hulk, but there were times where i didnt care for how she was portrayed. PLUS the way people MD have a tendency to over sensationalize EVERYTHING and make it seem as common as a bowl of spaghetti...it kind of ruins the appeal.

Well Stark better prepare for more beatings like that because She-Hulk's Cousin is gonna be here really soon and after the Hulk is through with him he is not going to have a Fifty State Initiative to worry about anymore. I can't wait until Hulk rips all of these Pro-Reg losers apart!

She's a PRO-REG!!! I can't believe she would side with a man who's only commonality that they share is the fact that they have had drinking problems! Someone like...oh I don't know...the Hulk needs to slap her upside the head and go "Hey! You are on the wrong side! Join me and get free intergalactic goodies!"

well you know in almost every disaster scenario where mutants or metahumans were targeted by the government (days of future past/present is a prime example) Ms. Marvel has appeared as an enforcer for the side that was OPPRESSING the mutants/metahumans.

it's been suggested that because of the trauma she suffered at the hands of Rogue (a mutant) and the subsequent BETRAYAL she felt when Xavier accepted Rogue into the X-men left Carol with a deep resentment of mutants and that is why in situations like this, you see her joining the oppressive side. She's always had a tense allignment with the mutants though.

as for her siding with Iron Man? i dont know why she'd take orders from that clown either. She beat him down once before and could do it again.

I recently read a TPB collection of She-hulk's own series and I really have to say that she's very well written, at least by the writing team at the time. She's definately a symbol of feminism and unlike her cousin she can control her transformation (which i really am glad for).

Her witty, sarcastic sense of humor, and her wild, sexy abandon (she frolicked with a self absorbed male super model in this tpb, she also was a party animal at the avengers mansion) AND the fact that many of her adventures take her in and out of the courtroom are what make her fun to watch. Her adventures arent limited to battles and fighting....they USED to do this with Dazzler in her own series which is what made HER so popular with women back in her hey day.

my favorite moment in the book was when this group of marvel bad guys who had hatched a clever escape courtesy of Mad Thinker were now loose inside the courthouse...but they were shrunk down courtesy of Pym Particles. Absorbing Man and a few others were facing She-Hulk and she said... "sorry, but i wasnt one for playing with dolls" and one of the men said "ACTION FIGURES" and he launched himself at her and she casually lifted up her hand and deflected him and sent him flying into the fish tank saying "Whatever." he then comes out of the tank and says "Foolish woman, the water has restored my strength, prepare to meet your doom!" and she leans over the tank and drops a miniature Electro in and says "and YOU Prepare to meet ELECTRO" and electro shocks both himself and the other guy into unconsciousness lol! unfortunately, all the fish were killed too.

Dan Slott was an absolute genius when he was writing this book, it had comedy, action and most of all it was fun. i remember when i first read it "Single Green Female" and "Superhuman Law" in trade I enjoyed it greatly. It took itself seriously to a point but maintained it was a funny book. The idea of a superhuman law firm using old marvel comics as legal documents was a stroke of imagination that more books need. My favorite She Hulk story is still the one from Slotts run where she trying to file a suit against a company for a "Origin". That was a work of literature in comic form.

thats the one i read actually...Single Green Female and Superhuman Law! it was very well done. It really reminded me of how well Dazzler's own series was written back in the day and it shows that a comic featuring a solo heroine can be fun to read. Right now, i'm ONLY really keeping up with Ms. Marvel but after reading this She-hulk TPB i was thinking about collecting her too.
