<< back in the underworld, the six had much to think on. while some like Delilah and Nicolas felt that being in this present timestream served little purpose, others like Alison and Persephone knew that it was not so simple.>>

<< since their return to the underworld, the mystique surrounding the gods and goddesses of olympus had long faded, thanks in large part to the visions provided by hecate and alison. now they could see why Persephone was less than thrilled to be back here. the gods/goddesses seemed ALL to mortal and failing.>>

<< the six had a buffer now that they were in the underworld. the ollympians couldnt advance on them as long as they were here and it was certain that athena was plotting to expose the six and destroy persephone outright. though the six and theier allies had a buffer here, they couldnt hide there forever.>>

<< They would be getting a surprise soon.>>

<< The six were now in another large, splendid room of the castle, the "crystal" room, a massive place with the most exquisite crystaline objects and decor. Morgan sat in a meditative pose, flowing off the floor surrounded by a large pentagram of silver eldritch flame. there was a soft din to the flames...like the faint rumbling of ocean waves and a hint of chimes in the air. The others were in various places around the room.>>

<< she seemed to be at ease, letting magick flow through her as her body shimmmered and her hair flowed. she was getting in touch with her self, her POWER as Hecate had encouraged her to, learning to commune with her magicks instead of just "using" them like tools. the magick, the energy could sustain her and she would not even require FOOD if she were stranded somewhere without it....one of MANY things that she learned-- though Ororo and Belasco had long known that.>>

<< she had more than resigned herself to the possibility of battling the gods/goddesses to the DEATH if necessary. She wouldnt cower before them and after what she saw them do to Hecate and Persephone, she had LITTLE respect for ANY of them. the whole romanticized versions of them that she'd grown up with through mythology had been shattered after what she'd seen in the enchanted forest.>>

<< speaking out loud in an icy voice>>:

Hecate left this plane of existence at some point, bitter and feeling shunned. It's not FAIR! I know how that feeling is...i often felt isolated because of my dark magicks and my connection to limbo but i was fortunate to have people like my mother, ororo, alison and delilah...and my team..my friends. they've stood BY me inspite of the Inferno and everything else... but Hecate...inspite of all she did for THEM...and how she tried to protect Persephone..she STILL got the short end of the stick!

<< she shakes her head. Hecate was not with the group. her where abouts were not readily known but the coldness that radiated from her upon learning of yet another betrayal and being left to hang out to dry clearly did not sit well with her. the look on her face before they returned had said it all.>>

Even CIRCE took advantage of Hecate! She manipulated her...and prooved herself no better than the Olympians! When we get back there...I've got something instore for HER!!

Persephone...i don't know why you killed Demeter, but it's clear that her murder had a long term impact that even YOU did not anticipate.

<< speaking bluntly>>

i could never even DREAM of harming my mother, let alone klling her...but none of us in this room can boast NOT having spilled SOMEONE'S blood at some point.

<< looking over at Persephone.>>

But what about THEM...up THERE on Olympus? we apparently CAN'T leave until whatever else we came here for has played out. The gods/goddesses want you dead....if Alison does not see any immediate problem...i say we storm the mountain. the time stream has already been compromised...there's nothing we can do NOW but to go FORWARD.

As the team teleported back, they ended up in a crystal room. He listened as Morgan vented about the unfairness of Hecate's treatment, the surprise at the murder of Demeter, and her suggestion that they storm the mountain. He stepped forward.

I concur. WE should consult Alison about what should be fulfilled as far as secondary/tertiary things, then I think we surprise them by taking the battle to them. These pompous asses think that NO ONE would DARE challenge them!! They probably even think that we are trying to avoid them. I am done running. Our only option is to forge ahead, take the fight that is to come to them. With our own team and the forces we can bring to bear <<<looks at Persephone and Morgan>>> we can do this!!!

:: The group soon returned from the enchanted forest back to Persephone's castle in the Underworld. Morgan began to vent about how unfairly Hecate had been treated. Persephone didn't bother to agree or disagree. Walking away from the group as she continued to speak, her topic soon changed to that of Demeter's murder. Smiling to herself with her back turned to the group, Morgan announced how she couldn't possibly even imagine harming her mother, let alone killing her. Rolling her eyes at Morgan's judgmental statement, perhaps not her mother, but she certainly didn't mind decapitating her sister. ::

:: Uncorking a glass canter that held Hades' favorite liquor, Persephone pour a decent amount into a bronze cup. With her hand held over the cup, she ran her fingers along the edge of her large ruby ring, opening it. A small amount of Hemlock dripped into the cup, turning the liquid an eerie black before fading back to its original color. Closing the ring, Persephone swirled the drink. Though a small amount, Hemlock had the capability to kill a grown man/mutant within minutes of ingesting it. ::

:: Turning back around after hearing Rampage's annoying 'pep' talk, Persephone gave him a smile while extending the drink out to him. ::

"Drink?"

:: Persephone smile faded more into a smirk knowing that Nicolas was very well aware of what was in the cup. ::

"You're right. You shouldn't drink on the job."

:: Though the drink wasn't meant for Nicolas, she still found it amusing. Apparently the only one who did. Regardless, Persephone did have one last thing to attend to before their battle against the Gods. Even though the time line had already been tainted beyond repair, Persephone still needed to kill Hades. Call it a contribution to her own sanity, but she wasn't about to have him running around the 21st century in the same fashion he did in this time line. ::

"I do have one last....encounter I need to see though. Once I’m finished, I do believe your plan is the best course of action, Morgan. The Gods sit on a very high horse, they would not expect an all out attack on Mount Olympus so soon. Feel free to roam the castle and gather any supplies you may need for the battle. Hecate can show you the apothecary and weapons room."

:: Crossing the livingroom toward the entrance of the foyer, Persephone removed the golden snake pin that held her curls away from her face. The long ebony strands fell along her shoulders and chest, framing her face beautifully. Disappearing from view, Persephone ascended the stairs, heading for her chambers. ::

Haleigh kept her reacions to the visions to herself, even as she watched Persephone murder her mother. Haleigh understood that not everyone has the perfect relationship with their mother... and also that things were rarely as they seemed, so she avoided passing judgement either way. They returned to the underworld, and were again under the safety that the realm provided. Morgan spoke first, asking about Persephone's motives regarding Demeter's murder. Perse didn't respond, but Haleigh did, as she glanced at her sister.

"We all have our reasons for doing unexplainable, sometimes... unspeakable things. How ever Persephone feels about this, WE still need to deal with the fallout, and as long as she is as prepared to deal with the consequences as we are, then perhaps we should let her motives be her own."

Haleigh spoke in response to Morgan, but it was more for Perse's benefit, and she watched her sister for any indication of affirmation. Morgan and Nicolas devised a plan: to storm Mt. Olympus and take the gods by surprise. While this idea had merit, Haleigh didn't want them to get too overzealous, what with the 'rallying the troops' speech Nicolas gave.

"Yes, but we ought to take CARE.... we don't want to rush in unprepared. sometimes the best offense is a good defense, and I wouldn't believe Athena doesn't know that."

Persephone offers Nicolas a drink... of hemlock. Haleigh didn't bother to say anything, she knew Nicolas would not accept. Persephone then excused herself to tie up loose ends... and none of them should be too surprised at what her intentions were. Haleigh took up the glass canter that Persephone'd set down moments ago. She swilled it around, licking her lips... in light of the battle she was about to undertake, maybe she should drink a little too.

"Yeah.... you do that.... meanwhile... I think I'll have a little of this.... your husband won't miss it, I'm sure."

She said with a smirk. She had a very nonchalant attitude, and seemed to have tamed the difficulty in adjusting that she'd had before... the forest had obviously had a positive effect on her.

Nicolas wa not surprised at Persephone's manner as far as his speech was concerned. She still seemed to try too hard to be cool to him, but he knew she was a good teammate overall. As she made a hemlock drink, she smiled sweetly and offered him some. He politely declined, just as sweetly.

That's OK, Seph. I should avoid drinking on the job.

He took secret pleasure in her own satisfaction as she made the offer. He knew of Hemlock's potency, but doubted that it would kill him. Nothing else had even managed to phase him so hemlock stood as an interesting challenge, but for another day. He watched as Persephone walked away, another Olympian's death clearly on her mind. With what she seemd to be planning, Nicolas smiled realizing that overall, it would be a pretty cool way to go. He saw Haleigh pick up the decanter.

On second thought, maybe a drink with a friend could be cool. Enough for two, Hales?

:: Alison stood by a large crystaline sculpture. the purity and coldness of the object appealed to Alison. to her it was a beautifull metaphor for how she (and others) saw herself....beautifull, yet cold and hard. Morgan expressed her displeasure of Hecate's treatment and Alison nodded in agreement.::

The gods/goddesses...particularly zeus and hera are foolish and short sighted. they mistreated Hecate due in part to her not being a true olympian but a TITAN by her bloodline. despite her historical choice to fight alongside the olympians and her role in destroying cronus. Hera is just as legendary for her petty jealously and suspicion of every woman both on olympus and earth. Jealousy can lead to irrational and petty descisions and we've SEEN that in the visions. Even ATHENA realized at the apparent end of the "age of the gods" where they had gone wrong.

it's a lesson that i suspect WE need to take heed to as well.

:: looking among the group::

We can't change what's happened to Hecate or even Demeter...but we can make sure that Hecate's sacrifices and hardships along with Demeter's death were not in vain.

:: She turned to persephone....not concerned if the goddess was annoyed at her mentioning demeter.::

Your brutal murder of your mother has taken the group by surprise...to see it....YOU that way was something they did not expect but I know better than MOST how it is to have a broken relationship with your mother. I know what it is to square off against her and fight to the DEATH.

:: Kelly King..."Witchfire" one of the magickal forces for Mystech. Alison had never regarded her mother with much warmth or love for her. even as a child Alison had felt her mother was "sloppy", "careless" and "wreckless" to be respected as a mother or even as a witch. Alison, AS a CHILD often had to stand up to actively protect and defend her siblings from the abuse and tyranny of her mother until she finally left the family and began to prowl and explore the world at the age of 14. years later she would discover that her mother played a role in the faked death and kidnapping of Morgan's sister Blaze when THAT set of sisters were apart of the london based group "Valiant." Alison would confront her mother as an adult in one final conflict and damn her through the seige perilous. so she understood that sometimes it WAS necessary to murder even your own parents BUT Persephone's reasons or even her motivation for murdering Demeter remained unclear even to Hecate and Alison. But the damage and fallout that the murder had on Hecate and the role it played in the dischord on Mt. Olympus was made all too clear through the visions from the past, the present and at least one possible future.::

:: Persephone was not there to see the bitterness and hatred that fueled the final battle between Alison and Kelly and while the team was shocked by Persephone's actions and Alison was sure that Persephone had not thought of the "bigger picture" when she murdered Demeter, Alison could MORE than identify with the idea of a child who murdered her parent.::

You may never choose to tell us why you did it, but it is clear that Hecate suffered a great deal in standing in the gap for you during the fallout for the murder and that NEITHER of you was treated well here following that event. None of us here is a saint or innocent. But i don't suppose DEATH is something any of us will ever truly become accustomed to.

:: turning to the group::

we can't fix this time stream. all we CAN do is go forward and at this point, i see nothing to be LOST from it. Inspite of DEATH looming on the horizon for Persephone and the rest of us, we owe it to Hecate to teach these olympians a lesson in humility. If even two of us can triumph and return to our own timeline, Circe will be more than painfully surprised when she discovers that her supposed "patron goddess" has foresaken her.

:: Alison's tone was cold. She watched as Persephone showed annoyance with Morgan's comments Demeter's murder and her subsequent offering of [B]HEMLOCK, a drink that was enjoyed by witches and other magick beings but utterly poisonous and FATAL to humans and mutants, to Nicolas . Persephone's dark sense of humour was oddly amusing to Alison. Nicolas , of course, declined. Haleigh commented. First on Demeter's murder and it was a fair statement in response to Morgan, she also spoke on them not rushing onto Olympus unprepared.::

I agree but we have something that they don't anymore. we have Hecate on our side as well. She will help even the odds against Athena who will be among the most dangerous of the olympians. Keeping Persephone alive is of importance...Hecate will try her best to send us back to our timeline during the battle.

:: Athena's beautifull eyes manifested within the silver glowing orb and her authoritative voice could be heard.::

Athena: Hear me, Persephone, wayward goddess of the underworld. The presence of you and your companions has called more than a stir on Olympus. much has been discussed as to what , if anything should be done. But since you are Persephone's guests, we are content to leave you with her.

:: the eyes turned with the orb to face Nicolas, as a silver hued ray of light shined upon Nicolas rather brightly.::

to YOU, mysterious warrior, I offer you a challenge, the chance to show just how mighty and powerfull you are. I have not seen you pay homage at my parthenon ever before, nor have i heard of your conquests and Persephone is known for her lies and deceit. Come forward, to the parthenon, oh brave and bold warrior and show us just how powerfull you are. If you are too AFRAID or fearfull of defeat, then continue to hide behind Persephone and cover of the underworld and I will know that you are most fit to keep company with her. after all, one spineless jellyfish deserves another.

come forward, Nicolas. Do not let the tainted reputation of that renegade goddess paint YOU in a bad light.

:: the orb swells, emmiting sparkling shards before vanishing, leaving only the faintest echo of wind.::

:: Athena was testing Nicolas, directly challenging his character and honor. would he be facing HER, or someone to represent her? either way, it was something Nicolas couldnt just ignore.::

As Athena's "eyes" spoke to the room, Nicolas turned to meet her, sensing the presence as it manifested. He listened as she addressed Persephone and then the rest of the Six directly. Finally, a light came to rest upon him directly.

His jaw tightened as she challenged him directly, questioning his heart and courage. There was no doubt to any of the Six as to how he would answer her.

Nicolas turned to Morgan and said four words as he nodded his head, his voice low in his throat as he prepared for the challenge:

Morgan. The Parthenon. Now.

Nicolas, Athena is the GODDESS of Wisdom and WAR. She is just as strong as you and just as capable of ALL levels of ferocity in combat. Are you PREPARED for what she may have in store for you?

:: standing at 5'11" without heels, the seer was plenty tall. but without her heels to wear, she had to look up a bit at Nicolas.::

The Parthenon is her realm and she will hold sway.

:: looking to the others::

We must go, but NONE of you may interfere. to do so will incur Athena's wrath and possibly worse. We must let Nicolas handle this on his own..the outcome of this challenge plays a direct role in what we as a group will face next.

:: Unaware of Athena's challenge to Nicolas, Persephone was preparing for her own 'battle' of sorts. With cup in hand, the goddess opened one of the large double doors that lead into her massive chamber. As predicted, Hades was there half naked, undressing one of the more attractive servants near the bed. The door opening alerted them enough, therefore Persephone simply stood there resting her shoulder against the frame of the door, searing a glaring hole into the servant. That was enough of a warning for the woman to quickly back away from Hades. ::

"Run, rabbit. Before I skin you."

:: Running her tongue along her lips, the girl quickly scampered to the door, moving past Persephone, not daring to look at her. Persephone watched as she continued to run down the long stretch of hallway before disappearing around a corridor. Keeping her anger in check, Persephone looked back in Hades' direction cocking a brow. ::

"Enjoying yourself, darling?"

<< Spellbinder had disengaged from her floating meditative position by now. She realized that even though she consciously hadnt meant to pass judgement on Persephone, with regards to Demeter's murder, she had done JUST THAT. Haleigh said it best....sometimes the reasons for actions, no matter how inexplicable are just not readily known. Morgan had reigned the Inferno down on an entire city and and murdered her own sister. She'd also killed HALEIGH and yet...there she was, with the team and not living under the glare of judgement. She could hardly afford to pass judgement on Persephone in light of that.>>

Morgan felt like she should go to her and talk with her....offer an apology...for if THEY were to build a stronger bridge, there had to be an understanding.>>

<< ATHENA's manifestation appeared and called Nicolas out as well as further defamed Persephone. Athena's hatred of Persephone was palpable! Now she dared Nicolas to answer her challenge in the Parthenon and Nicolas was ALL TOO READY to go as he demanded Morgan teleport him there. [ Delilah was silent while the others spoke. She agreed with an assault on Olympus and didn't really have anything to add.

Persephone was being charming as usual. Her little "prank" with Nicolas wasn't exactly helpful. Delilah found Persephone's "errand" a bit disturbing - she killed without a second thought...too easily. How easily would she sacrifice one of them if she had to?

Athena suddenly appeared - or at least her eyes did - and she challenged Nicolas. Smart. Draw them out. Play on his pride. But she did a double take at his response. ]

Nicolas listened as Alison and Morgan spoke of what was to come. He listened to Delilah as well and was thoughtful for a moment, then responded.

Alison , I have been preparing for this challenge since we got here. I knew that this was going too easily when we arrived and I am aware of Athena's...capabilities. And Delilah, we already know that we will not avoid confrontation, so for me there is NO choice in this matter. I will go and do what I have to do. If you wish, you guys can stay here and watch.

Smiling grimly as he looked down on Alison, Nicolas answered Morgan's question.

Persephone is currently...occupied. And it is not her I would worry about.

Hades
03-18-2007, 10:00 PM
Hades quickly stood and covered himself a bit as the door opened, his wife entering. The servant was about to do one her specialties when they were...interrupted. He nodded as she left quickly and turned to Persephone.

Why, Persephone!!The young lady was simply about, uh, to give me a massage! Nothing more.

Then, he quickly moved over to Persephone, embracing her. She could feel that he was quite...prepared for intimacy as he pressed against her.

So, have you decided to leave your servants a moment and spend a little time being a proper queen? Because I would most definitely like that...

Hades softly kissed her neck, holding her actually rather tenderly as he began to caress her...

Pam De Beaufort
03-18-2007, 10:46 PM
"Mhm.."

:: Hades' weak excuse was laughable, but at this point, it didn't matter. Feeling him embrace her, Persephone rolled her eyes upward at his apparent arousal. Massage indeed. Slinking her arms around his neck, she made sure not to spill the contents of the bronze cup. ::

"Actually.."

:: Extending her neck to the side as he began to kiss her. ::

"I am. I've been incredibly selfish lately...I haven't met your needs as a wife should. So..."

:: Pulling a bit away to get his attention, Persephone ran her fingers along his cheek and down the side of his bare neck. ::

"I've come here with a peace offering."

:: Kissing along his neck, close to his earlobe, Persephone pressed her body further into his. ::

"I'll give you whatever you want, whenever you want...."

:: Her voice stayed soft and sexy as her hot breath met his ear. ::

"But no more midnight romps with the chamber maids."

:: Taking his lobe into her mouth, Persephone pulled away, gently tugging the sensitive skin. Allowing her aqua eyes to meet with his finally, she brought the bronze cup around from behind him, but made sure to keep his attention souly on her. ::

"Reasonable deal, wouldn't you say?"

:: Bringing the cup to her lips, she tipped it in her direction, mimicking the act of drinking the deadly liquid. Although Hemlock would poison her, because of her unique physiology, she would not actually DIE from it instantly like most others. But if left in her system for a long enough period of time, she would eventually succumb to it's deadly poisons. The same went for Hades. He would feel the effects almost instantly, but not actually die from it. More like 'knock' him into a very 'drugged' up state. Call it a roofie of their time. ::

:: Bringing the cup away from her lips, Persephone licked him as she 'swallowed'. Tipping them rim in his direction, she ran her fingers along his lips, parting them. ::

"Unless of course, you find those chamber maids more desirable than me?"

<< Morgan looked at Nicolas with a hint of irritation.>>

we can "stay here and watch?"

listen here, Nicolas. We're ALL in a precarious situation here. just because Athena called YOU out doesnt mean that she won't have all the other olympians lying in wait there for us and ready to ATTACK.

you're not going ANYWHERE without all of us. whatever happens, we'll face it TOGETHER. If athena is a woman of her word as she appears to be, then she will most likely challenge you herself or have a chosen warrior waiting to duel you while she watches.

If Persephone is unvailable, then we'll just have to go without her. She DID seem preoccupied with something anyway. I'm sure she'll be fine here in her castle.

But perhaps before we go, it would be better if Hecate DID arm you with choice weapons to better fight/defend yourself Nicolas. We just need to.... << looking around>> find her.

Hades was entranced. This was not the first time that Persephone had come to him, but every time it was amazing. She was voluptuous, beautiful, seductive, and so VERY naughty when she chose to be. Hearing her offer, Hades was filled with hope that he would make her a proper wife after all.

Proserpina, you know that I desire no one above yourself. Whatever the help here may offer in supplication to me has no bearing on my desire for your gifts. As for your offer, I want ALL of you...RIGHT NOW!!!

Tearing away Persephone's tunic, Hades pushed her against the wall. Kissing her passionately over every inch of her flesh, working his way down her body as he caressed her. After lingering a few moments to give special attention to her womanhood Hades stood tall, picked Persephone up and carried her to their bed, his eyes full of fire...

Morgan, I am simply saying that it may be best for the rest of you not to be there, in case Athena is NOT a woman of her word. All is fair in love and war, they say.

He simply watched as she continued, informing him that no matter what they would accompany him. She then referred to Hecate as she mentioned that his weapons would have to be of a better quality. He pulled his axe out, spinning it quickly before re-sheathing it.

Morgan, you have already given me the weapon I will need. I am practised with it, and it would be a rush to simply pick up new equipment, even IF Hecate could be found.

:: walking forward a bit, Alison was amazed by the Parthenon and its silent, strong regal beauty. the marble, the cold, hard yet beautifull marble....it resonated to her. this sprawling temple was the place where warriors and adventurers far and wide came to pray and pay homage to athena to carry them safely on their travels, to guide their hands in fights for victory or to become enlightened with wisdom on any given situation.::

:: the large statue of Athena was massive, about the size of a Sentinel and it was posed elegantly with Athena holding out sword in one her, her owl perched on her other arm and her shield resting down at her legs. the shadow cast by the statue seemed to purposefully loom over the team as they moved forward and found where they were apparently supposed to sit, leaving Nicolas to stand and wait.::

:: Delilah commented about Russell Crowe, ever witty, even in times like this Alison let a small smirk creep across her face.::

The place was deserted, save for the team itself. Rampage nodded for the others to sit in the area indicated and stepped forward into the arena, tall and proud. As he reached the center, he looked skyward and spoke in a booming voice than any of the Six would recall he had.

Hear me Athena!! In honor of your request and your stature I have come to the Parthenon to display my gifts!! I am Nicolas King, CHAMPION OF PERSEPHONE and I await eagerly WHATEVER MAY COME!!

:: Bupol the owl flies down from the skies above as a beam of silver light comes down right infront of the statue and from the beam emerges the statuesque Athena, looking regal in a figure flattering blue gown of "goddess" design. a golden headdress with feathers adorns her head and her hair is done up in an elegant up do with some loose spiral curls that fall down to frame her face.::

:: Athena holds out her hand as her faithfull companion, the owl comes down and perches on her fore arm and she glares at Nicolas with a stone faced experssion.::

I am not impressed.

:: she looks over and sees the six sitting near by.::

you've brought your companions with you. how nice. it allows me to survey you without the putrid presence of that wench, Persephone.

:: as the beam of light spreads and fades, Athena looks upon Nicolas once more.::

why is it, that you allign yourself with that murderous creature? she has betrayed her own family, murdered her mother and caused hecate much pain and heartache with her carless and thoughtless actions. surely you do not want to be located by your associations with HER.

:: Athena spoke calmly, as she allowed Nicolas the chance explain himself. Bupol cooed softly as she gently petted him, he looked, with deep brown sleepy eyes, over the rest of the six. ::

:: Persephone was forced against the wall, making her grunt from the impact and drop the cup of poison she was offering Hades. ::

"Dammit..."

:: As he began to passionately kiss her, Persephone dispensed a large amount of poison from her lips, giving Hades an immediate reaction of dizziness and lust. She had played these games many times before, so it wouldn't come to as a surprise to her husband. Hades began to make his way down her body paying special attention to spots he knew would drive Persephone crazy. Gasping in, her neck extended back as her hand immediately went to the wall behind her, trying to grasp something. Knocking a few pictures off, they crashed around their feet but Hades didn't waver. Lifting her away from the wall and to the bed, Persephone rolled over so she was on top of him. Straddling him, she began to kiss all along his neck, seeping more of the poisons into his system, trying to enhance his 'drunken' state. ::

"Tell me what you want."

:: Interlinking her fingers with his, she lifted them over his head and pinned them in place. ::

"Pain..."

:: Biting his neck and drawing blood. ::

"Pleasure.."

:: Running her tongue along the bite, the more potant poisons from her saliva would immediately react with his open wound giving him waves of unbelieveable highs and causing his body to begin to tingle. There was a plan to Persephone's madness. She knew how to work Hades in ways that most woman didn't. She just needed a little more time to completely drive him over the edge before his guards came completely down, then she would go in for the kill... ::

Nicolas thought as he listened to Athena speak of Persephone, as she questioned his reasons for aligning with her. Indeed, he questioned them himself for a moment, then he answered.

Indeed I can understand why you are perplexed, goddess of wisdom. But for me the reason is quite clear and singular. FRIENDSHIP, and the love and loyalty that it brings. I do not know why Persephone ended her mother's life. Their interactions are something of a mystery to me, yet I know that I will not judge her, for I know that were all my faults known, I would also be found wanting.

Nicolas paused to allow her to soak in what he had said, then continued.

Goddess, how is it that you have come to judge her so harshly? Surely you realize that countless of your own worshippers died from being denied fire for centuries before Prometheus, having mercy that was otherwise lacking in Olympus, delivered them life-sustaining fire. And for his altruism, he lays on a rock, tortured by the beak of a hawk, day after day after day. And were it not for his sacrifice, your name would still ring out as their cries for mercy would eventually hush in death from denial of that which you take for granted. And what of Hecate and her feelings? Surely you had the same respect for her feelings when she was torn from her betrothed not too long ago. Then why did you not intercede with your father on her behalf, if for no other reason than out of respect for the favor she should have earned in your eyes when she took your side over the Titans in battle? Favor that Zeus himself promised?

Nicolas stood tall, awaiting the redirect from the goddess...

Nicolas stood tall, awaiting the redirect from the goddess...

::Athena's eyes widened slightly as he directly called her own accountability on the subject of Hecate and Persephone, not to mention Prometheus, who at this time was still very much suffering on a legendary level.::

:: Bupol continued to play a haunting melody with his low coos and soft sounds as he fidgeted a bit on Athena's arm. he seemed to mirror what Athena was feeling. SHE was a bit taken aback by Nicolas' moxy to say such things, but they WERE fair questions.::

Some would take your questioning of me in this way for IMPERTENANCE, young man.

:: Athena's clear, elegant voice reverberated around Nicolas as she kept her eyes fixed on him. walking around for a moment, she took her time in responding, allowing Nicolas to watch her. she cast her eyes on the Six who seemed to be watching very closely as well. Bupol looked upon them with sleepy eyes.::

Prometheus, was one of the first examples, i suppose of the gods on olympus reacting BADLY to what was perceived as a threat to their standing among Mortals. Hecate HERSELF said that she had foreseen a time were other faiths and gods would replace us..that is the way things must be and we could...SHOULD move on gracefully, but not everyone on olympus is content to let the sister fates weave their tapestry as they will.

:: Athena's tone suggested that she meant certain olympians specifically more than others.::

as for Hecate, Persephone and Hades. I was not on Mt. Olympus during that time. I was tending to my Amazons, shielding THEM from Zeus' roving eye and hands. HERA , who is so nauseatingly loyal to her husband still does not find the need to reign him in and instead ENABLES and FACILITATES his philandering ways and yet she wonders why he continues to commit adultery.

:: she turns and looks to the skies::

It was not my wish, NOR was i in agreement with Zeus' cruel disolution of Hecate's relationship to Hades. But Zeus rarely remembers that my platform is wisdom and seems to think that HE is all knowing. It's a fault that has cost him many times and many ways.

Hecate and I have always respected each other. even now, I have voiced my displeasure against Zeus and Hera's constant criticizing of her for protecting Persephone..BUT that does not change how I feel about PERSEPHONE! She murdered Demeter who was my sister..and a close friend. Demeter , who so bravely fought to save Persephone from Hades many moons ago when he attempted to kidnap and enslave Persephone, was REPAID for her motherly love with brutal treachery and murder. It is HARDLY fair or just that she should earn the FRIENDSHIP of one such as you OR your companions...or even that of HECATE, who has suffered in MANY ways thanks to Persephone's cruel and careless treachery. The trinity of the moon and the power of the goddesses linked to that has been damaged, possibly beyond repair thanks to Persephone. THEY (artemis and hecate) would be WELL within their rights to strike Persephone down for retribution!

:: it was clear that Athena beared no ill will towards Nicolas or the Six. she seemed VERY impartial and clear in her thinking...but PERSEPHONE was the bane of her existence.::

it is regretfull that your lives are in peril now because of HER [persephone].

:: she stands up, and a beam of light shines down upon Nicolas.::

I offer you a choice. Renounce your friendship pand loyalty of Persephone, stand aside and give her to ME...and let JUSTICE be done and I will not question your character or honor any longer. REFUSE, and face a test and trial of MY choosing, one that will not only test your honor and character...but just how DURABLE you are. The outcome of it will determine YOUR freedom. If you lose, YOU and your companions will share a fate SIMILAR to Prometheus' ...in the horrific catacombs beneath Themyscrica known as Doom's Doorway.

Nicolas listened as the Goddess of Wisdom replied to his questions and gave her own challenge. Forego Persephone and go free? Or take up the challenge with the freedom of them all hanging in the balance. He looked at each of their faces as he considered his options. He and Seph were not close, that was true, but she was one of them. Family, for what it meant. And for Rampage, this family was all that he had. He watched as the goddess circled him, turning calmly to face her as she walked, relaxed yet ready. He finally met her gaze and answered. He spoke clear for all to hear.

Goddess, you have been all that I imagined you would be when I met you. Your wisdom, pride, and beauty are an awesome sight indeed. In fact, were it nearly any other proposal, I fear that you would easily hold sway. But... <<Rampage's jaw tightens a bit>> to forsake Persephone is something I cannot do. If you wish to test my mettle, I freely submit with only one condition: that the rest of the group go free no matter what. <<motions to the Six>> This is not their yoke; they are here only to watch me. Promise me as a patron goddess of warriors born that you will spare them. If I am found unworthy I will walk too Doom's Doorway MYSELF and face whatever comes.

Nicolas waits for the goddess to consider his proposal...

:: as Athena's crystal clear, cold voice rang out and Bupol the owl flew down from the skies above, it was clear that the goddess was now in attendance. She was calm, poised and ever so elegant. Nothing like Hera or Zeus. She exuded class and deserved respect. But her hatred and disdain for persephone ran DEEP. Athena would no doubt return the "favor" that Persephone gave to Demeter 10 fold if she got the chance.::

:: Alison listened carefully as Athena addressed Nicolas and the goddess was very simple and straight forward with her view and opinion of Persephone and the fact that Nicolas, along with the rest of the Six were on her side. As Athena presented it, Alison couldnt HELP but wonder...WHY would Nicolas risk his life for this woman. UNLIKE Karen, who had been warm and motherly to Nicolas from the beginning following their proper introduction, Persephone has always been cold and aloof to the man. Never really allowing a chance for any real friendship and at best...only a frosty professional relationship between them.::

:: Persephone, like Morgan could be hard on any man if the mood struck her. Nicolas tried his BEST time and again, doing what he knew to try to appeal to her sensbilities, but he never seemed to succeed with her or Delilah for that matter. But now, his freedom and his LIFE were in the balance....he was risking it all for Persephone? This wasnt like before when Ororo came to him for help to rescue Karen...He was litteraly being poised to be tossed into damnation for someone who at this very moment was busy cavorting about with a PIG named HADES. Persephone hadnt even KNOWN that her team was now in the Parthenon and in the presence of Athena.::

:: Nicolas BRAVELY rejected Athena's proposal in exchange to be tested and tried by ATHENA'S design. He did this almost without flinching it seemed. Persephone was a member of their team yes, but at times she seemd to WORK at distancing herself from the team's spirit and family dynamic. she was NEEDLESSLY standoffish...even worse than Alison herself.Alison, as the "guardian" of the team, and second in command spoke up.::

Nicolas, BE CAREFULL what you propose. You are risking your freedom...your LIFE. REMEMBER Demeter and HECATE!

::despite the fact that NONE of them could pass judgement on Persephone's murder of Demeter...the fact that SHE herself seemed NOT to care of the consequences of that action, that spanned from this time all the way to THEIR time...it just didnt sit well with Alison. Demeter had once bravely fought to save Persephone from enslavement at Hades' hands..only to be brutally murdered by her daughter. Hecate protected Persephone from the wrath and indignation of the gods/goddesses on Olympus only to be mistreated and betrayed left and right and left heart broken. Nicolas stood to share the same fate...and Athena promised that it would be on the scale of that Prometheus endured. Nicolas spoke of taking care of the team, the family...and as "Guardian" , alison HAD to object.::

NICOLAS!

:: Alison stood up. all the while, wondering just WHAT was coming over her. but she saw that Morgan too was showing signs of agitation and objection to this as she too stood up.::

We've SEEN the history...anyone who helps her is DOOMED and look where she is now?. I cannot allow you to go through this ALONE.

:: turning to Athena and speaking with clarity and respect::

Athena, you know my abilities as a harbinger. I see clearly. Nicolas is poised to share the same fate as Demeter and Hecate...all for a woman who at this VERY MOMENT is more concerned with pleasures of the flesh than the wellbeing of her own team which seeks to stand in the gap for her!

:: it seemed like Alison was turning on Persephone, but there was a REASON for her doing this.::

Nicolas is a man of HONOR and courage. He has placed himself in peril for strangers whom he did not know and stood in the face of adversity, never turning down the path that some others have. PLEASE let us stand WITH him. We're a team...a FAMILY and a family should take care of each other.

Let US, show you, Athena, that WE understand the gravity and consequences of Persephone's actions. Let US stand in the gap TOGETHER.

::Athena respected wisdom and understanding. Alison KNEW very well the gravity of the situation with Persephone. She wanted Athena to know that THEY understood and that THEY as a team should do this together.::

<< sitting down, Morgan had crossed her long, flawless legs at the knee. she had taken it upon herself to make alterations to the dreadfull gown given her by Persephone. raising the hemline, making it more figure flattering and conjuring some sexy silver gem toned sandals to wear on her feet. she'd be damned if she would LOOK like a servant for the benefit of ANYONE in this timeline.>>

<< the look on her face from the moment they arrived at the Parthenon was that of a scowl and agitation. she was unhappy about a VARIETY of things...not the least of which was Persephone's inexplicable descision to deal with Hades at THIS of all times. NEVERMIND that it was somethat had/would occurred according to history. to SEE her in this timeline...it painted persephone in a totally different light and Morgan, though knowing she had no room to judge, was having a hard time. SHE hadnt had the time to spend with Persephone as Hecate or Darkchilde did and so she did not know her was well but from what she'd seen, her brutal actions in this timeline made things HARD for Hecate and she didnt even seen to CARE!>>

<< the Parthenon itself was BEAUTIFULL. Morgan felt she might have dreamed about this place more than once before. It was elegant, cold and silent and the structure itself was just flawless. totally befitting the goddess whom it was meant to be a shrine for.>>

<< as Bupol appeared, Morgan watched the owl. Despite the reputation for owls to be silent birds of prey, Bupol seemed so gentle as he came to his mistress. His soft coos were sweet and Morgan could tell that Athena loved her feathered friend the way SHE herself loved Tinkerbell, who was also enchanted. Bupol looked at Morgan and the others with sleepy, content eyes and Morgan wondered if he felt as soft as he looked.>>

<< Athena addressed Nicolas in a calm, clear and fair manner as befitting the goddess of wisdom. of them all, Athena was the ONLY one that Morgan still respected after seeing and learning what she had learned thus far. Athena was RIGHT to question Nicolas' inexplicable loyalty to Persephone inspite knowing what became of demeter and hecate, two women who had ALSO stood up for Persephone...and inspite of her coldness and perpetual dismissal of him on a daily basis. Morgan couldnt HELP but feel protective at the moment of this man who was now bravely rejecting Athena's choice to either forsake Perspephone and keep his freedom and his very life....OR if he refused, he would face a test and trial of HER choosing HE along with THE TEAM would lose their freedom and most likely their lives in the hell known as Doom's Doorway.>>

<< Morgan's icy violet eyes widened and she began to stand up as Alison protested with good reason. Athena was DEFINATELY putting Nicolas' courage and loyalty to the test and Athena had already warned them that THEIR associations with Persephone would place THEM in danger as well.>>

Our LIVES in exchange for HER!? She's not even here to SEE THIS!

<< Morgan's agitation was rising and her icy voice echoed throughout the parthenon. >>

I WON'T have Nicolas risk throwing his life away for someone what has dissed him at every turn!

<< Nicolas had risked his life to save Karen before he even KNEW her. He joined himself to the cause (and burdens) of the Six without reservation when he answered Ororo's call. The road to acceptance and trust had been hard for him...but he more than earned it at this point. Still Persephone treated him like a lepper at times and THAT alone made Morgan wonder why Nicolas was doing this. Not to mention the history lesson they had seen in the enchanted forest. Morgan couldnt help herself. She cared for Nicolas...on a PERSONAL level.>>

<< Morgan held her tongue as Alison spoke, knowing that as the team tactician, she already had a plan to appeal to Athena in just the right way.>>

[ Delilah watched Nicolas honorably put his life on the line for them. But she had to admit that if she was facing some horrible torturous punishment for a loss, she'd rather be the master of her own destiny and fight for her own freedom. Before she could speak to that effect, Alison rose and appealed to Athena to allow them to join their comrade. And Delilah agreed, but remained still silent, awaiting Athena's response. But then Morgan announced her displeasure at Nicolas taking a hit for Persephone, and Delilah had to speak. She stood and turned to her friend. ]

"Morgan, we stand together or not at all. Despite her faults, Persephone is one of us. God knows I've made mistakes - we all have. Would you leave me to my fate to save yourself? Or Alison? Or Nicolas? Haleigh? I know you better than that. Leave no man behind."

As he made love to her and as the drugs permeated his flesh from her wounds, he held her and wept for the pain of love that he worried would never be returned.

:: Hades' flush skin and dilated pupils further indicated to Persephone that it was almost time to strike. A part of her knew this act was simply to save herself and the six the pain of dealing with Hades' chauvinistic personality in their timeline. But another part of Persephone was enjoying this. Not to much the actual act of sex --even though it wasn't bad by any means-- but the feeling of taking the life of an 'innocent' again. She had been apart of the six for a few months now, and since her integration ,she had to save the lives of innocense and only kill the 'bad guys'. But her entire life, long before the six were even a factor in it, Persephone killed for the fun of it. It was exhilarating and gratifying. ::

:: Hades was completely over the edge, almost frantic in his pleasure. He began to confess is true feelings in a way Persephone had never heard before. He was actually sounding like a decent man, someone in love. As Hades continued to talk, Persephone buried her face between his shoulder and neck, gulping in a winded breath. Running her one hand down his cheek, she slid the other out to the side under a pile of fur blankets. ::

"Oh....Hades..."

:: Her hand tightly gripped the handle of a beautiful sculpted seven inch dagger. Kissing Hades' neck, he...began to weep. Stopping a moment, was he really crying?...Moving her lips back down to his neck and up his jaw line, her lips connected with his, kissing him deeply. Parting from his lips, she rested her forehead on his, noses touching. Caressing his cheek lovingly, Persephone looked deep into his eyes. ::

"I love..."

:: With one swift, quick motion, Persephone rose, pinned his head to the bed, and slashed the dagger straight across his throat. The cut very deep; only centimeters from severing his spinal cord. ::

"...absolutely nothing about you."

:: Persephone's strength over Hades made it easy for her to grab both his wrists and pin them back over his head before he tried to fight her. Holding them there, one on top of another, Persephone clicked her tongue against the rough of her mouth as she grabed the dagger again. ::

"Crying, Hades?"

:: Stabbing the dagger through both hands, straight into the bed, Persephone rested her weight on the dagger, keeping his hands pinned firmly to the bed. ::

"Now I knew you were pathetic, but that was just embarrassing."

:: With one hand still on the dagger, Persephone pouted playfully, looking deep into Hades eyes. ::

"I'm sorry, puppet."

:: Covering Hades nose and mouth with her hand, Persephone pressed firmly against his face, depriving him of the oxygen he was already desperately trying to suck in. ::

"I hate to see you suffer."

:: Drowning in his own blood was a favorable death in Persephone's eyes. He deserved a hell of a lot worse. ::

Hades

Hades, as he finally embraced his affection for Persephone, received a rude awakening indeed as the knife slashed his throat open, leaving him with what he knew to be a fatal wound, even for one such as himself. His mouth moved feebly as he attempted to speak, his thoughts remaining his own as his larynx was severed.

Eh, so my love is to be my own undoing? MY OWN queen!! My moment to love you take for WEAKNESS!! That's too bad, fair Proserpina, for you think yourself won. But I have lived far longer than your feeble mind can imagine and I tire of this drudgery. Best to seek out my own way in the next existence. But YOU, you will know this curse. You will NEVER find peace for what you have done!!!

With the last of his strength, Hades sat upright and grabbed Persephone's face, tearing is hands nearly in half from the dagger to do so, and kissed her hard in the mouth. As he fell back, the only sounds she would hear from him was a gurgling, wheezing laugh as the God of the Underworld breathed his last.

As his spirit left his body, the cry of his blood would reverberate throughout the heavens and the underworld as beasts roared, the ground reverberated from the very depths of Tartarus being shaken to their core, and both Zeus and Posiedon would cry out, tears of blood streaming down their face as they realized that their brother was dead, DEAD at the hands of an ungrateful harlot who their brother had neglected to put to proper heel. And because of her treachery, they knew that the evils of the underworld, which their brother had kept in check, were now and forever a danger to break free to menace both Olympus and Earth.

As Nicolas awaited the answer of Athena, he heard Alison and then Morgan intercede on his behalf, the former to offer to join him in this trial and the other to wish him to allow it to pass. Nicolas was heartened as he saw the feelings of the team for him, but he did not wish to risk every one.

So as he started to speak, offering himself once again, his breath was taken away by a psychic LAUGH. Not scream. LAUGH. He showed no emotion but inside he was in turmoil. Hades was no more!!! He recognized the mind from when they were at the palace and he had sized him up after he tried to ...well he KNEW that mind. Hades had died, but by whose hand? And them it hit him. Persephone!! She had killed another Olympian and essentially guaranteed a firestorm of war. At this point, Nicolas simply looked at Athena straight on, half-expecting her to strike at any moment once she realized what had occurred.

But she noted that the team didnt even BOTHER to try to hide behind the ridiculous facade that Persephone had attempted to creat. They had just prooven that Circe's "charm" told the truth, they were outlanders, sent here to disrupt MORE than just the timesteam::

:: STILL, the honor and courage shown by Nicolas was commendable. She just couldnt fathom WHY he misplaced it on PERSEPHONE. Morgan and Alison attempted to intercede and Athena immediately received Alison's plea to allow HER (or the whole team) to join Nicolas in the test and trials. THAT was a sign of honor and loyalty, qualities that Athena respected in any true warrior. Alison showed that she understood the bigger picture, the gravity of the consequences that Persephone's actions had casued. Alison was definately a point of fascination for Athena given her powers and her presentation. a harbinger of this power would be usefull as Athena's personal aide in times of war..but she knew that could never come to pass.::

:: Athena began to speak, still in a calm, clear voice. her voice reverberated through the halls of the great Parthenon.::

Yours team spirit is strong, the foundation is as strong as this Parthenon itself. You, Harbinger have shown yourself to be worth of my favor....however...

:: Athena pauses as Bupol shows alarm and distress, his cries and widened eyes taking center stage as Athena's golden eyes widen and she looks up to the heavens.::

Zeus....SHE has done it AGAIN!

:: she turns to the six::

this wretched creature that you so valiantly seek to DEFEND has just MURDERED yet another Olympian. While YOU stand here appealing for her life...even risking YOUR lives and FREEDOM, that HARLOT indulges in wanton pleasures of the flesh and MINDLESS VIOLENCE YET AGAIN!

:: Athena's voice thunders as it reverberates through the Parthenon. Her tone is sharp and harsh, and her countenance grows dark as Bupol sounds the alarm.::

It is regrettable that you do not see the errors of what you wish to do. I can no longer afford to be objective or kind on this matter. If you will stand in my way in regards to Persephone....then YOU ALL will SHARE HER FATE!

:: Athena extends her arms forward as Bopul flies away toward the sky and she unleashes a blast of pure force against the Six...it feels like hurricane gale force wind slamming into them as it blasts them ALL back , sending them sliding across the floor. she herself disappears in a golden ray of light...her voice leaves a final warning.::

your wayward goddess has crossed the line, for the LAST TIME. If you choose to stand by her, then you will FALL with her.

:: Watching her spouse die was fun. Single again...well technically. If you took into account Ava Cassadine's marriage with Ares that Persephone had yet to amend, she was still off the market. Regardless, Persephone watched as her lover ripped his hands in half, grabbing her face and kissing her one last time. Blood stained her cheeks from where he hands rested and gushed from his neck onto her naked body before he fell back. What sounded like a warped laugh came from him causing Persephone to grow annoyed. Grabbing his hair in a vice grip, she forcefully RIPPED his head off his body. A sickening crunch heard as the bones from his spine dislocated from his head. ::

"You couldn't help yourself, could you? Always trying to have the last laugh."

:: Throwing his head across the room, it hit the wall with a thud before dropping to the ground. Climbing off his headless body, Persephone looked coldly at the corpse before grabbing his penis and ripping that off as well. And impromptu move that served no purpose...but it sure felt great. Tossing it onto his naked torso, she smiled grimly. ::

"Who's laughing now, big boy?"

:: Blood stains still covered her hands, cheeks, and neck. Other red splatters could be seen dried to the exposed parts of her skin. Disappearing through a door that lead to a connecting wash room, the goddess quickly bathed to rid herself of the last reminisce of her dead husband. ::

Nicolas stood even a bit taller as Athena goes onto her tirade, while Bupol screams and becomes nearly unhinged. It is apparent that she is aware of what has happened and she leaves the Six with a stern warning that serves as a declaration of war should they side with Persephone. With one last shot, she explodes forward with a hurricane force wind that serves to push even Nicolas back a bit across the floor of the arena. He drops to one knee and steadies himself with his hand waiting for anything, but the goddess has already left them.

Nicolas turns quickly to the rest of the team, his face contorted in anger. He risked everything for her, and she still commits crimes against the Olympians with impunity. The ground i the area shakes a bit as he explodes in anger.

GODDAMMIT!!! FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!! " Why is she doing this??! While we sat here and risked EVERYTHING with Athena, Persephone just fucked then killed Hades, as if we needed THAT right now. Now its war for certain....FUUUUUUUCK!!

After his outburst, Nicolas grew very quiet. Persephone, save for that one gesture to save them at the beginning, had done VERY little to try to connect with the team. They chased her to Greece to help her only to have her berate them for the red moon incidents, and now she was going off without regard for what risks she placed upon them all, who would risk worse than death for her sake? Rampage was quietly seething as he stood in the middle of the arena...

<< Spellbinder was tense. Delilah spoke words of truth and fairness with regards to Persephone. The look of indignation on Morgan's face, at the thought of Nicolas jeopardizing his freedom and his life for Persephone, began to soften as Delilah's words of reasoning and logic couldnt be disputed.>>

well....i....

<< she said in an icy tone before Athena admonished them all to let her speak. as the goddess began to speak, it seemed that she would show favor to Alison's request in someway, this made Morgan feel a slight sense of relief but it was all too brief as Bupol began to cry and flutter, showing signs of distress. Morgan's eyes fixed on the owl as Athena herself seemed to communicate with it telepathically as she tried to calm it. the goddess' golden eyes widened with displeasure and BETRAYAL even as she looked up to the heavens, the skies now churning with black clouds and thunder. Athena exclaimed that "she" [persephone] had done it AGAIN!>>

Persephone...

<< Morgan rolled her eyes. Athena was now JUSTIFIED in her unwavering position on the "renegade goddess". and as she bellowed with indignation, morgan cried out in defiance.>>

you can't DAMN US for something SHE has done! We're not of this timeline and we WONT be held hostage for someone ELSE'S ACTIONS BY YOU OR ANYONE ELSE!

<< this was the Spellbinder that Delilah and Alison would remember, the woman with an INDOMITABLE will! but her own yelling was drowned out by the abrupt lashing out of Athena as she blasted them ALL, sending them sprawling across the sleek marble floors and warning them that if they continued to stand with persephone NOW inspite of all that she'd done..then THEY would FALL with her as well!>>

<< Morgan's hair blew back as she was bowled over by the blast and landed on her side before sliding back. it didndt HURT so much as it knocked the wind out of her and left her a little stunned. Athena and Bupol were gone and Morgan turned to Alison and Nicolas first...as she struggled to get up.>>

we're about to get into the fight of our LIVES. one which we MIGHT LOSE and ALL OF THIS is because of HER!

she's shown NO interest in helping, NO interest or even the SLIGHTEST hint of remorse for the PAIN and DAMAGE she has caused both in this AND our timeline and yet we're supposed to continue to race head long toward our own DOOM?

:: Alison nodded slowly as Athena had stated she won FAVOR with the goddess...but it was all over for even as Bupol began to shriek and show signs of agitation, Alison "saw" a most VIOLENT and BLOODY scene unfolding....Persephone acting like a demonic SAVAGE as she ended Hades' life in a way that would make even Morgan's violence seem TAME::

:: ALL OF THIS even while they were trying to buy time for Persephone's freedom and life, not to mention their OWN, since Athena had marked THEM for Persephone's fate if they chose to remain with her.::

:: Athena became enraged as Hades' death was no doubt felt by ALL of the Olympians now and condemned the Six. Morgan screamed back in defience, it was just what Alison would have expected from the willfull sorceress in a situation like this. As Bupol flies away, Athena blasted them away from her as she left them with one final warning before declaring WAR on Persephone. .::

:: Alison flew across the floor as well, slowly she raised herself up and coughed a bit, Nicolas roared with annoyance and the Parthenon trembled. Morgan too expressed her disbelief and anger with Persephone.::

We have no choice, there are no options. We're going to have to fight them...if for no other reason than to protect OURSELVES.

:: Alison wasnt even sure she could or SHOULD trust Persephone at this point.::

The outcome of this remains disjointed. there are TOO MANY variant outcomes that could become reality for us but any hope that we had with Athena before has been destroyed by Persephone's most recent actions. Even now, the EARTH itself is poised to be overwhelmed by a backlash of forces unleashed from the underworld.

[ Delilah too was blown back by the olympian force winds hurled at them by the enraged goddess. She gingerly got to her feet, making sure nothing was broken. Nicolas and Morgan were PISSED, and Alison wasn't far behind it seemed. She herself felt like banging her head against the wall. She looked at Haleigh. ]

"Is this self-destructive thing a family genetic trait?"

[ But she caught her breath and began to evaluate the situation. ]

"Maybe this had to happen. Who knows what would happen if history was changed and Hades allowed to live. Maybe it's better this way...though it's hard to think what could be worse..."

We might want to quickly return to the Underworld then. Right now we are sitting ducks, unless there is another suggestion.

[ Delilah pursed her lips in thought, her brow furrowed. She looked at the others. ]

"No. If we give them time to regroup and process exactly what has happened we are all dead. We take them now, while they are in confusion. And god help us."

03-23-2007, 12:56 AM
[ as Persephone had finished annihilating Hades and the underworld began to TREMBLE from the shock and terror of its master's death, a shadow did cast over Persephone in her chambers even before she slipped away. Hecate had witnessed the murder, cloaked from Persephone with magick, the powerfull crone witnessed the gruesome murder of the one man she ever loved.]

[ when Persephone left, Hecate appeared in full view...standing in the bloodied room with the broken, headless, castrated body. her face betrayed a cold, dark countenance as her own violet eyes looked down and around.]

Hades....the one man i ever loved, the one man who i allowed to capture my heart and yet when the chips were down, you prooved to be weak as water as you submitted to your brother's cruel machinations and took Persephone as your bride. You turned your back and acted as though i meant NOTHING to you. For this...i NEVER forgave you but as long as i hated you....it provided a perverse sort of comfort...preventing me from remembering the LOVE we once had and now...you're DEAD at HER HANDS!

[ Hectate allowd her hand to run through some of the blood on the bed. She looked upon the severed head. ]

Nothing i can say or do now will change this. NOR was i meant to interfere...still, I cannot help but feel that Persephone has once again blighted my path without ANY thought to my feelings. It's as if I am an AFTERTHOUGHT to everyone, no matter how much i have done for them.

[ the goddess' heart did beat with such bitterness, even as she "saw" Athena sounding the alarm and calling the Olympians to the main Pantheon of Olympus. Hecate would endure one last slap in the face before SHE TOO let loose with her own wrath, it would be like the blue print for the night Morgan snapped and ignited the fire of Inferno.]

The Olympians will kill Persephone, just as the Harbinger predicted.

[ Hecate's dress changed, now wearing one similar to that of Circe's in the six's present timeline except this one was all black. it's plunging V neck revealed ample cleavage and the high split on the side of the skirt gave a teasing, pleasing view of beautifull, toned legs. she lifted her hands as glowing dark halos of magick formed around them.]

I can no longer avoid what is coming. But if i am to be treated so badly for doing what i must, i will make SURE that more than one person regrets it...for this night and many MORE TO COME!

[ a heartfelt promise and the first indication of the coming dawn of the red moon.]

goodbye Hades. your shade will come to grace the realm you once ruled but you will not be ALONE for long.

[ the witch goddess looks up, hearing a faint melody of chimes in the air. MORGAN was calling for her aid. ]

my daughter calls for me. I already know what has happened, and yet this is all WRONG somehow. as out of control and beyond hope this situation is...it is not supposed to be QUITE like this!

[with that, Hecate "moves", transporting from where she was, and appearing RIGHT INFRONT of Persephone, who by now was refreshed from bathing away the blood and violence of the recent act. Starring at her with cold , unforgiving eyes.]

your friends are in danger. their attempts to SAVE YOU have marked THEM for death. you should go to your friends and stand WITH THEM in this, their darkest hour while I embrace my own destiny.

[ with that, Persephone is teleported with Hecate to the Parthenon, where the rest of the six. Persephone can see the extreme anger in Morgan and Alison's eyes, not to mention Nicolas. Hecate stands there, offering no expression. ]

Spellbinder, I've heard your call and I am here to aid you in your time of need.

Haleigh eyed the decor of the parthenon. It was a truly beautiful place, and though she'd seen it in HER time, it had been but a shadow of its former self. Now, in all its splendor, it was hard to imagine a place like this ever losing its grace. Nicolas stood up to Athena, despite her attempts to discourage him. Alison lobbied for a chance for them all to be tested together, and Haleigh heartily agreed. Morgan was clearly agitated with the whole idea... and Haleigh prepared a defense on Persephone's behalf [even though she had very little to work with]. But before she could cut in, Bupol screeched, and Athena took to a formidable rage. Hit with gale force winds, there was nothing left for the Six to do except pick themselves up again after Athena left, imparting a final condemnation upon the group. Haleigh's brow scrunched in frustration as she yelled after the goddess.

"THEN SO BE IT! DO YOU HEAR ME, ATHENA?? SO FUCKING BE IT!!"

She said, getting to her feet. Nicolas blows up in anger, and Delilah asks a slightly sarcastic question. Haleigh cannot help but smirk.

"HELL no.... she got THAT from her father. What I do, i'll have you know, is to the detriment of OTHERS, and to the BENEFIT of myself."

It was clear she was being playful... and allowing levity in a decidedly cumbersome situation. Persephone and Hecate appear. Haleigh can almost PREDICT what's coming, and steps in between Persephone and the rest of the group.

"I don't condone what she's done... but now is NOT the time for anger towards Persephone.... now, as Alison has suggested, we must fight TOGETHER. Maybe you forget... but I remember.... when Malice was about to meet her end... and Persephone dove in to take a hit for US.... even as we bickered and fought EACH OTHER. Delilah, Nicolas, Blaze and I would almost surely have ALL been terribly wounded, for we were SO wrapped up in our own problems that we couldn't have reacted in time. Maybe you all forgot... but I remember... I remember because we probably DIDN'T DESERVE it.... and worse, we were UNGRATEFUL. [taking a deep breath] We ALL have our flaws... but we all have our STRENGTHS too.... and it is our strengths that bring us together. We NEED to be together.... if we dont STAND TOGETHER.... We'll DIE ALONE. And THAT..... my friends.... that is the worst fate of all.... [with a hint of pensive sadness] Dr. Victoria helped me see that."

This was ALL HER FAULT! If she had been forthcoming, if she had acted like she CARED at ANY MOMENT... and now, it seemed like Morgan and everyone else wouldnt even be AROUND much longer to worry about what was happening to Karen, Alycia and the world over in the Six's own timeline. Morgan wanted to cut Persephone down with "i suppose when youve had the benefit of being able to live in 4 different timelines, the destruction of one timeline doesnt have as much meaning to you." >>

<< how could Darkchilde or Hecate have cared for her? She left everyone she delt with holding the short end of the stick.>>

<< in an icy voice>>

If I'm going to die, I'd prefer not to waste my time assessing blame or looking for accountability...especially when the person in question probably feels this is all beyond her control and that she is above reproach.

<< Morgan didnt care if Persephone responded or not. she'd HAD it with being spun around in this demented spin cycle of disaster that was Persephone's timeline when HER OWN loved ones were in danger and by now she was TIRED of being held at the mercy of beings most of whom she felt were now BENEATH her contempt! to HELL with the gods and goddesses of greek antiquity. :: it would have been easy for Alison to give in and say what she felt toward Persephone.::

you were BETTER OFF as a STONE STATUE in Ororo's garden. at least THEN you were usefull for something...DECORATION.

:: but it was the frustration that was peaking in her. they were ALL at their wits end with this whole situation, this timeline and these beings. Haleigh stepped forward and offered a valid defense for Persephone. Not just as her sister, but as someone with a surprisngly clear and objective point of view on a grim situation. Persephone, in her first major outing with the Six had made a bold and brave sacrifice to save several of the team from one last deadly strike from Malice. But even INSPITE of that, Persephone spent more time trying to be aloof and "set apart" from the team, as if her status as "goddess" seemed to elevate her ABOVE them and that she had the RIGHT to be so secretive with them.::

:: Morgan of course was in no mood to be charitable. it was a wonder she didnt attack Persephone outright and Alison couldnt help but wonder what was in HECATE's mind right now. Hades had been brutally murdered and it seemed that they NEVER had the chance to resolve whatever may have lingered between them.::

Haleigh, is right....at least in the short term and pratical sense. If they WERE to somehow survive, there would plenty of time to confront Persephone and hold her accountable for her actions and how they placed us ALL in peril. For NOW....

:: Morgan said it best.::

it's time to show these Olympians we are NOT helpless, defenseless mortals that they hold sway over.

:: Finally clean from the blood that stained her skin, Persephone was now dressed in a black asymmetrical gown with gold decorative stitching along the edges. Fitting perfectly against her body, the gown flowed beautiful to the floor with two thigh high slits. With her gold snake cuff on her upper arm and two golden rings, Persephone definitely didn't look like a woman who had just slaughtered her husband. ::

:: Running her fingers through her long wet hair, the it was already beginning to curl as it dried. Wet hair or not, she still looked beautiful. Blue eyes lifting quickly, Hecate appeared in front of her looking extremely upset. She had found Hades' body. ::

"Hecate–"

:: Stopping, there was no point apologizing. She, yet again, hurt Hecate unintentionally. Perhaps this destructive, selfish pattern was unavoidable in her life. Time thread after time thread she would do something to benefit herself and hurt someone else. Even her closest friends whom she would die for. And where the six were concerned, she was nothing more than a body that helped them fight foes. No ties, no connections. No friendships. It didn't really hit her until that moment that she was no better than Circe. Maybe it was Ava's conscious factoring in, but whatever it was, it made Persephone second guess herself. ::

:: Moments later, both Persephone and Hecate appeared in the Parthenon, feet away from three very pissed off people burning holes right through her. With her eyes narrowed in almost the same fashion, Persephone crossed her arms, noting Haleigh immediately jumping between herself and Alison, Morgan, and Nicolas. She began to defend her...a little surprising to say the least. But it was apparent that neither Morgan, nor Alison, wanted to listen. Ha, what she wouldn't give to have Nicolas' mind reading powers right about now. ::

:: Morgan turned her back and spoke coldly to her. Alison chimed in and agreed that they all needed to attack the Gods now. Shifting her eyes to Nicolas, Persephone shook her head and looked away. Reaching to her dagger holsters on either thigh, Persephone withdrew the medallion that Barbara gave her that brought the six here. The medallion was very powerful, and Persephone only hoped that Minerva's words would ring true at this moment. ::

"Why don't I just throw myself to the wolves."

:: Her tone even and cold, she tossed the medallion on the ground by the six's feet. Instantly a dense green tornado-like funnel formed around just the six, encasing them in the eye. The medallion (protected by magick as well) was growing a brilliant green, creating a dampening field against the six's powers to keep them from leaving the tornado prison. This would at least give Persephone a small time frame to confront Athena before the medallion lost it's power. Turning to Hecate knowing she wanted to free them, the loud winds made it nearly impossible for them, or the six, to hear. ::

"Don't! The Gods wants me dead, not THEM!"

:: Taking Hecate's hand, they both disappeared in a tornado of winds, leaving the six imprisoned at the Parthenon. ::

As the goddesses appeared before them, Nicolas stare wore a hole through Persephone. He was at his wits end with her inability to become a part of them, to accept that they were no less than she. he said nothing, waiting for better moment than this when Haleigh INTERCEDED on her behalf. It was an impassioned plea, one that did manage to move him a bit as he realized that this was what she was pre-destined to do here. No more, no less.

He locked eyes with Persephone when she shook her head and threw down the medallion at their feet. A whirlwind appeared that seemed unbreakable to them as he realized what Persephone was about to do.

NNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Dammit, she has no concept of accepting help, being part of a group. Even now. Morgan, this THING is slowing my powers, but you and Alison, it cannot sever your hold on your magicks. If you give me an opening, we WILL be free of this.

She did not fight back against the harshness of Morgan or Alison and showed little reaction to Haleigh's intervening on her behalf.]

[Hecate herself was not as attentive as she should have been. Persephone impulsively trapped the six in a vortex of mystical power generated by the medallion she'd been given by Barbara Minerva. [ the arrived on Olympus, in the patheon. the skies around the labryinth were swirling and churning with the anger of zeus. the foundation of Olympus itself seemed to be trembling and Hecate's hair bagan to blow in the wind as she looked at Persephone.]

you know that this isn't the way it's supposed to be. offering yourself as a sacrificial lamb is NOT the way to build a bridge between yourself and your team...THEY should be with you now and it will take MORE than that vortext to stop Spellbinder and the Harbinger from from breaking free. You should allow them to STAND WITH YOU. You know that you'll have PLENTY of time to reconcile your differences later....for your ultimate battle is not HERE..it is back in the Six's timeline.

[ Hecate's tone was cold, there was no sense of urgency.]

But I, on the other hand, have come here to embrace my destiny. my time on Olympus has come to an end and I intend to make SURE that the olympians face me head on.

[Hecate knew that Spellbinder and Alison would soon bust the Six loose and join them on Olympus and that is why she did not push harder to release them instead of traveling with persephone as she did. for now, facing the gods/goddesses as they came to pass final judgment on Persephone and offer one final "slap" to Hecate's face was the most pressing thing.]

:: Finally turning to look at Hecate, Persephone gestured to her side, as if the six were standing there. ::

"I've made mistakes in my life that have hurt others, including yourself. And as much as I dislike the majority of the people in the six, they don't deserve to die because of my mistakes, in a timeline that is not their own. Nicolas swiftly pulls his own weapon as Morgan teleports the team to Olympus. The time for talking had long past as Nicolas could hear the thoughts of the Olympians in their bloodlust. They were even worse than the myths made them out to be, and he had an epiphany, simply realizing that none of the Olympians had a right to be so high-handed. His anger rising, he steps forward as he sees Athena engage Persephone verbally,

That is where you are wrong, Olympian. Whatever Persephone is, she is OURS and your group has no moral ground upon which to pass judgement. We have come for Persephone, and she will leave with us. Zeus' voice bellowed loudly. Gripping his hands into fists, Athena addressed Hecate, instructing her to step aside. At this point, he wasn't worried for Hecate's well being. She was just as much of a pain in the ass as Persephone, and if she die in this battle, then so be it.

Growing tired of Athena's pleas to Hecate, Zeus was ready to fillet Persephone whether Hecate was ready to step aside or not.

"Enough, Athena! Hecate knew very well the bridges she would be burning if she continued assoicating herself with that viper!"

The ground began to rumble as Zeus' voice echoed loudly throughout the vast chamber room. Gesturing forward, while clenching his teeth together tightly, a massive lightning bolt went hurling from the palm of his hand, hitting Persephone square in the chest. The shockwave of the impact was strong enough to send Hecate and Nicolas soaring off her feet and a few feet away. Zeus was done playing games.

Hecate
03-28-2007, 01:22 AM
[ Hecate's eyes meet with Athena's. She appreciated Athena's attempts to consider her but Hecate couldnt...WOULDNT abandon Persephone. Not only out of principal, but for PERSONAL reasons. despite the rift that Persephone could have caused between them..both women still cared about each other and Hecate would much rather defend someone who truly considered her a friend rather than just a magickal wild card to get them out of trouble like the Olympians often did.]

[ Hecate wouldnt move. and soon Zeus was bellowing in typical fashion. the Six arrived via stepping disc and Rampage stepped beside them. Hecate couldnt help but smile a bit as the young man challenged him. her face now darkened and enshrouded in shadow, she smirked as Zeus insulted her.]

old man....

[ she said in a cold, deep tone.]

the day i EVER bow before you is the day i lose my grip on life. you were not strong enough to deal with your father and you will NOT be strong enough to defeat ME. Have a taste of your OWN abuse, you old FOOL!

[ Hecate speaks with contempt as she gestures ala' Prue Halliwell toward Persephone's direction. a rushing , chiming sound is heard as SHE TK's the lightning bolt BACK at Zeus.]

Don't be in such a rush. Let your annoying wife come forward and speak her peace...after all, She's been ACHING for this moment for some time now.

[ Zeus might have forgotten about Hecate's precognition...and he wasnt present for Alison's warning to Athena...but the moment of final betrayal was now at hand.]

:: Hecate's words fell on deaf ears. Althought she was right...Persephone wasn't acting in her best interested. She was acting down right kamikaze. Regardless, Persephone stood, silent with eyes narrowed as Athena addressed her. A small laugh could be heard coming from the goddess after hearing the insults coming from Athena's mouth. ::

"Pot and kettle, Athena. Pot and kettle."

:: But as Athena continued to address Hecate, asking her to step aside, the six arrived. Damn...they got out of that trap quickly. Quicker than Persephone had anticipated. Rolling her eyes hearing Nicolas, his loyalty toward her was becoming sickening already. The more she pushed this group away, the more they wanted to aid her. The meaner she was toward them, the more they continued to try and be loyal to her. Maybe she was coming about this the wrong way.... ::

:: Persephone's train of thought was cut short by Zeus' yelling. The room began to shake, indicating something big was about to happen. With his hand extended out, a fierce lightning bolt came hurling at Persephone. Hecate easily diverted the attack, sending it back at Zeus. Without so much as a flinch, Persephone kept her stance solid as she looked upon both Zeus and Athena. ::

"You might want to keep him on a short leash, Athena. He's becoming rather trigger happy."

<< Spellbinder arrived, holding her soul sword in her armoured covered hand. the armoured gauntlet which now manifested over her right hand, arm and shoulder grafted in perfectly with her "inferno" costume and the din of the flames from the sword provided a constant noise effect even as Athena, Zeus, Hecate, Persephone and now Nicolas exchanged words. Morgan didnt speak yet but her contempt for ZEUS could be seen in her icy violet eyes. She was no longer a "servant girl" now. she was a demon sorceress with PLENTY of power to back up her bitchy posture.>>

<< Zeus attempted to bully and hurt Persephone with no care of Hecate's well being but Hecate , in true form, EASILY sent his display BACK at him and defied him yet again. She was GLAD to see that Hecate would not give in to him or anyone else on this mountain fortress.>>

<< Morgan's mind churned with a mixture of excitment and dismay. what they were doing now, could change the course of EVERYTHING in their own time in ways that none of them save Alison might be able to fathom right now. Would they have anything WORTH going back to? if they survived, how would they deal with Persephone? she rebuffed them at every turn and for NO good reason. She didnt even KNOW how they had pleaded on her behalf to Athena...would she have even CARED?>>

<< so many things to wonder about but all at the wrong time of course. Spellbinder remained poised for battle as she picked a place to stand in that gave her plenty of open aim at Zeus. She really DIDNT want to fight Athena. Despite what had taken place, Athena remained one of Morgan's favorite goddesses to study and even though the woman was cruel and unforgiving, Morgan couldnt help but ADMIRE the coldness and the heartlessness about her. They were qualities that she aspired to HERSELF though probably not for the same reasons as Athena.>>

<< the idea of castrating Zeus with the Soul Sword appealed to the sorceress, not to mention cutting out Hera's tongue, whom apparently was set to appear according to Hecate's short range precognitive vision. But more importantly, as Nicolas said...whatever Persephone was/is, whatever her problems ...they were THE SIX'S to deal with, NOT the Olympians and it was team for the team to stand together. this was NOT their final battle but if they were to SURVIVE to reach that battle...they would have to stand together HERE like never before.>>

<< in an icy voice>>:

seems to me like Zeus wouldnt be much without Athena, Hecate or any OTHER WOMAN on Olympus. in MY timeline, your name only remains relevant in the minds of dusty, old , decrepit college professors and sci-fi geeks who still watch "clash of the titans" like it was just released. Athena, Hecate, Artemis...ALL of the women of Olympus enjoy more popularity and relevance then you EVER could.

:: Guardian had teleported with the team of course, but decided to take a stealtheir approach. cloaking herself with her magicks, she was now hidden from view and crouched above on top of a pillar. she weaved her hands silently in a pattern as she began to warp and slow down the temporal field around Zeus. the next time he struck out at anyone...his moves would be painfully slow, his reaction time would be slow as well leaving him woefully vulnerable to retaliation.::

:: Athena however was a different matter. She would be able to adapt to almost ANYTHING that anyone there could throw at her. she was the goddess of WAR after all and unlike Zeus, she had displayed only a precious few of her own individual powers.::

:: Alison hoped that the others would be ready for battle...especially Haleigh, who until just recently had been the most unreliable person present due to her emotional outbursts. Delilah's powers, since they activated at the "speed of light", would give her a tremendous advantage as well. These Olympians (save Athena) would not expect beings who looked to be only "mere mortals" to have such power and skill to fight against them.::

Nicolas was impressed at the speed of Zeus' attack, and even more impressed at how easily it was repelled by Hecate. She mentioned that Hera was to have her say, but he was ready for what would come, his eyes locked on the Titan before him. He reached into his mind and pulled his SEXUAL evaluation of Athena's physical beauty, and then projected it into her mind subtly. Just enough that she realized that Zeus saw her in a rather UNFATHERLY fashion. Maybe he was looking at her from behind even now. DISGUSTING.

In addition, Nicolas caused the floor beneath Athena's feet to hold her boots, doing it subtly so that her first step in battle will be a stumble, giving someone a bit of an edge on the Goddess of War.

Persephone attempted to trap them, a move that frustrated Haleigh... WHY was the woman so anti-team? It occured to Haleigh that it was perhaps because the LAST 'battle of the titans' Persephone had engaged in with her ORIGINAL team left everyone dead. Maybe she was afraid to be victim to that again. It made no difference, in a matter of minutes, they sprung free and were transported to Olympus. Nicolas stood up to Zeus AND Athena.... and Haleigh moved in to support him by relieving him of an adversary. The man had heart, but really.... challenging them BOTH was dangerously too big a task for ANY one of them. Haleigh struck up a conversation with Athena... surprisingly calm for someone in the midst of an all out war.

"Well.... we meet at last. I must say, I have always held you with high esteem... I mean, it's not HARD to see why YOU would appeal to me. It is.... such a SHAME we find ourselves on opposing sides here, Athena. Now, I KNOW that you are not as afraid of me as you SHOULD BE...." she says, as she begins handling a small object, causing it to make several clicking sounds that will undoubtedly confuse those of THIS time, who are very unfamiliar with the sounds. "But that's okay... I won't take it personally... I realize that you do not possess the CAPACITY to understand WHY you should fear me at all. Indeed.... I suppose it would be pointless to try to explain it. Perhaps we should just get started?"

She says cooly, as Bupol takes flight from Athena's shoulder, as it seems to understand that WHATEVER Haleigh is holding is NOT good. Haleigh raises her hand, and the glint of sunlight on the barrel reveals her toy to be a small handgun... it is the one she keeps on her person JUST IN CASE she is unable to manifest one, for any reason.... because Haleigh is never one to be prepared. A single resonating CRACK is heard, and the bird is hit INSTANTLY in the wing and falls, wounded and shrieking with pain. Haleigh turns her attention [and the barrel of her gun] immediately back to Athena.

"I AM Sorry..... that it has to be this way. [shrugs] You brought this on YOURSELF."

Athena

:: Athena's golden eyes narrowed with contempt at Nicolas. Bold and Brave as he was, he was a FOOL to think that he would overpower HER. Nicolas seemed to have FORGOTTEN that Circe's CHARM had already CLUED Athena in to the identities and abilities of The Six. their powers might have SEEMED "out of this world" but it was simply a matter of them being known different in this time and there were telepaths among the Amazons, so Nicolas' mind trick would not go unnoticed by a woman's who's mental discipline was beyond ANY non psi screened individual that HE had ever encountered...not to mention her INDOMITABLE WILL.::

:: as Nicolas attempted to plant the seed of Zeus' lusting after her in her mind, Athena looked at him sharply and HE would feel his own projection being REJECTED painfully.::

FOOLISH BOY!

:: her voice echoed forcefully.::

I am well aware of ALL your abilities and how you may well use them.

:: Athena's thoughts became like QUICKSILVER, impossible for Nicolas to read or manipulate definitively. Nicolas found himself on the receiving end of ANOTHER force blast, like the one at the Parthenon, only THIS time, she didnt hold back as she released even MORE deadly force.::

WAR and STRATEGY are MY platforms, HATCHLINGS. I have the power to take you at any and ALL your measures.

:: she was interrupted as Haleigh addressed her. THIS one was the most peculiar of the group. appearing to be merely human and possesed of a hybrid physical nature that wasnt even manifested by the DEMONS that Athena or her Amazons had faught. Haleigh was the most "out of this world" of the group, but her manifestation of WEAPONRY would be something that wasnt as great of an advantage as she THOUGHT.::

:: Athena watched as Haleigh addressed her with a cool familiarity. The young woman's arrogance and moxy suggested that she was more ethan a little "mad" in the mind.::

I have NOTHING to fear from you child. Your existence is finite...a flame that can be ALL TOO EASILY EXTINGUISHED in any NUMBER of ways. Your disjointed aura clearly indicates that you've experienced this BEFORE. [ being murdered during the Inferno]. Though you may have the benefit of escaping death's embrace once before...do not be so hasty to count this day as yours.

:: Athena looked almost bemused as Haleigh brandished a fire arm. Bupol flew from his mistress' shoulder. Athena looks up at her owl, not sure why it suddenly seemed so skittish and then, to her shock...Haleigh fires upon her beloved pet and it falls to the ground, crying with pain...twitching as it is wounded.::

BUPOL!

:: Athena cried out. stumbling as Nicolas' attempt to hold her boots to the floor finally prooved to be a small problem. but now....this was too much. they had harmed her beloved Bupol. WHATEVER was to come next, it would not stop her from hurting them BACK.::

:: As Athena stumbled forward, she extended her hand....the gun in Haleigh's hand MELTED into WHITE HOT SLAG and would most surely destroy any flesh that it came into contact with. the boiling liquid then glowed before changing into a swarm of killer bees that attacked Haleigh's eyes and mouth.::

SUFFER, barbarian, as you have inflicted needless pain upon my beloved bupol!

:: Athena was now standing tall once more, and with the sound of a mighty gong, her trademark helmet along with a sword and shield composed of golden energy. the weapons were unbreakable by any means and would shift to suit her needs. BEYOND Haleiegh's control, these were anointed weapons, gifted with the power of the goddess of war as well as blessed by Demeter.::

I will see your blood flow through these halls, as your shade joins Hades' in the underworld.

:: Haleigh might have thought she was prepared to battle Athena, but she couldnt have been more wrong.::

:: Glancing to her right as Haleigh took a step forward to address Athena, Persephone shifted her attention from one woman to the next. With her arms folded and her body weight resting on one leg, Persephone hardly looked like she was about to battle her life at any given moment. ::

:: Immediately the clicking grabbed the goddess attention. With a smirk slowly forming on her lips, she looked to Athena just as Bupol flew from her shoulder. Seconds later, a loud crack was heard and Bupol fell to the ground screaming in pain. Persephone began to crack up laughing. That bird was the one creature on this earth she would actually love to see suffer. ::

"That was brilliant, Haleigh. Funniest thing i've seen in a long time."

:: Still chuckling a bit, Athena became agitated and released an attack against Haleigh, the metal of her gun melting on her skin. Shooting a deadly glare at Athena, Persephone unfolded her arms and clenched her fists. She could feel Hecate's hand on her forearm, keeping her from attacking. There was a sequence of events that needed to be followed, and that was the only reason Persephone hesitated to attack. ::

Hera
03-30-2007, 12:04 AM
There was a glint in the darkness as the light reflected off Hera's golden eyes. She stepped from the shadows, her face not masking her rage. Her voice boomed and reverberated through the hall - the voice that had caused humans to flee in terror - as she focused her anger on Persephone.

"If it isn't the woman who put the "whore" in horrible. You mock Athena even now, with what you've done."

She moved forward towards them.

"You have insulted us all with your latest act of treachery. You betray us, the gods of Olympus, who so mercifully allowed you to live when you killed Demeter, one of our own. And now you've taken Hades from us..."

Her gaze flicked briefly to Hecate.

"...and from one who you called your friend. Who even now stands by your side. You bring outsiders to our most sacred of places. Your insolence knows no bounds."

She looked at Nicolas.

"And you, you defend her at all costs. You would have made her a good husband...but standing with her is a grievous mistake now, you will find."

She directed her words now at the rest of the gods.

"Hecate takes sides with the traitor, so she is no better. The crime is now hers as well."

She turned and took her place next to Zeus, turning back to face Hecate and the Six. Her voice was cold, yet filled with the smug satisfaction that those she despised were about to be eliminated. She had won once again.

"Kill them. Kill them all."

Nicolas was surprised but not totally shocked at Athena's defense of his mental attack. Her rebuff was painful indeed, but too many run-ins with Malice had hardened him to the strain. As she chided him, and attempted to mask her higher thoughts, she threw a wave of force at him. AGAIN. Like he didn't see THAT one coming. He erected a stone barrier that easily protected him as he saw her take her attention to Haleigh. BIG mistake.

The melted weapon that was threatening to burn Haleigh disappeared, reappearing on TOP of Bupol. His screams were pitiful as the slag burned away feathers and tissue.

As the beast screamed its agony, Hera entered the room, berating all who would stand with Persephone and painting them as the moral high ground. Nicolas was filled with contempt at her attitude and he decided as she passed her own sentence that he would not wait any longer to strike the first blow.

Rampage ran forward towards Athena to strike a mighty blow. As he threw the punch he teleported, punching Zeus instead in the face with a shot that would rival anything the Six had seen, a shot whose reverberations shattered anything glass in the surrounding area and cracked the marble floor beneath the pair. The force from the impact itself would be sufficient to separate the royal pair of Zeus and Hera from one another.

[ Guardian and Spellbinder SHATTERED Persephone's vortex and teleported them back to Mount Olympus. Even after all these years MorningStar could still be surprised by their sheer power.

Upon their arrival Rampage - impetuous and proud to a fault - called out the gods...

MorningStar meanwhile surveyed the scene. Alison was still hidden, but the others stood with her, some of the assembled gods faced them, and Persphone and Hecate stood on their side if a bit away.

Delilah looked at Hecate suspiciously, still scornful of her leaving them there and doing what she saw as amounted to giving Persephone a death sentence - sending her to face her fate alone. Despite Morgan and Alison's connection to her, Delilah did not trust Hecate. Not one bit. But Persephone was one of them whether she chose to ackowledge that or not, and so they had to be allies in this. For now.

Delilah had to admit to herself that were she in the gods' position, she would be calling for Persephone's head as well. She had killed not one, but two, of their number. If they had done that to HER team, nothing on this earth would have been able to stop her from slaying them all. But she would not sacrifice Persephone, even for this.

She moved forward as Nicolas had done, standing with he, Persephone and Hecate. ]

"Persephone is one of us - you will not claim her this day, not while there is breath left in my body."

Hera
03-30-2007, 01:04 AM
Hera's sharp eyes - honed through hundreds of years of spying on Zeus' many conquests - saw Nicolas' blow coming a split second before it made impact. She was not worried though - Zeus was a god, and it would take more than mere human child to harm him.

As the shockwaves came, she gracefully turned herself into an eagle, leaving her balance intact. In nearly one movement, she returned to human form and lightly set herself down on stable ground.

"Foolish boy..."

Jessica Hamby

Haleigh smirked as Athena mentioned Haleigh previous demise. She had quick enough reflexes to drop the gun as it heated and Nicolas removed it anyways. Haleigh seemed bored with Athena's posturing. Her eyes glinted with devil-may-care defiance.

"True, true... I have been killed before.... and yet.... here I am. It would seem not even DEATH wants anything to do with ME."

She mirthed, as the slag proceeded to turn to kiler bees, relieving the shreiking animal and turning its vegeance on Haleigh. Haleigh held up her hand in a 'stop' gesture.

"TRY not to be so bitter, Athena... I merely convey the HARD truth. YOU are the PAST of warfare....." The bees were instantly coated with steel, and stopped in midair just as they were reaching her. Whatever insecurities her teammates had seen in her before were clearly hidden deeply away, in fact, it seemed almost as if when it counted most, Haleigh turned on DEMAND into exactly what she needed to be. "And I. AM. The FUTURE."

She flicked her hand, as if dismissing a servant. The metallic bees exploded forth, as if expelled from the barrel of a shotgun. she may not have the weapon, but she had the power to recreate the effect. The projectiles would hit Athena with more speed than ANYTHING she'd seen in this time, where the fastest weapon in flight MIGHT be an arrow from a crossbow. Athena drew her weapon of choice, yet Haleigh seemed LESS than concerned. Rampage flew forth, and Haleigh nodded towards him, as if to WARN her to look out. As Athena dealt with THAT attack, Haleigh moved with MACHINE speed around and behind Athena. The woman had a SWORD.... but that could be difficult to manuever in very CLOSE combat, and Haleigh used this to her advantage, as she grabbed Athena from behind in a 'sleeper' hold, with an arm around Athena's neck. This was merely to hold the goddess in PLACE as she plunged a newly created blacksmith's knife up to the HILT in Athena's left buttock.

"I HOPE you don't plan on sitting DOWN anytime soon."

Hardly a DEADLY wound, but therein was the worst of it... it was deep and EXTREMELY painful in a muscle used more often than one thought.... And Haleigh's warped sense of humor began to show.

Haleigh quickly backtracked to avoid immediately retaliation, keeping a ready stance.

"Oh, TRUST me, Goddess of War.... you do not want MY blood flowing ANYWHERE in the precious world of yours."

Hecate
03-30-2007, 06:29 PM
[ Hecate was many things, but she wasnt depraved or cruel...which was something that Nicolas and Haleigh seemed to revel in. Bupol was an innocent, a creature that had harmed no one. if the Six were supposed to be the protectors of the innocent....they were certainly showing themselves to be no better than Zeus right about now.]

[ she glared unapprovingly at Nicolas, for Bupol had been enchanted by HER and given to Athena as a GIFT shortly after the conclusion of the battle against the titans. the owl had been a peace offering.]

savage! do you think yourselves to accomplish ANYTHING by using your force against a harmless, innocent CREATURE? one that I CREATED as a GIFT to Athena!?

[ she gestured, suspending time around Bupol as her magicks UNDID the damage to the poor bird and encased it in a cuccoon before teleporting it away. it would recover, but not for a while.]

worry not, athena. despite how your brothers and sisters may wish to treat me...I will not see Bupol harmed in this fight. he was my gift to you...and though clearly some SAVAGES in the room care not for the lives of the most innocent creatures, i will make sure that he does not suffer.

[ she spoke coldly....knowing that this last good deed would be over looked as Hera condemned Hecate to suffer the fate of the six. between the six, persephone and now the olympians, Hecate had had ENOUGH....and thunder began to rumble as she looked upon Hera...before snapping at Rampage and Haleigh, whose attacks on Athena were not going to damage her anyway for "no weapon of man" could harm the goddess of war.]

STOP IT! JUST STOP IT!!

[ Hecate screamed at Nicolas and Haleigh, a rushing chiming sound is heard as Haleigh and Nicolas are TK'ed against pillars and HELD there.]

FOOLISH, IMPERTENANT IDIOTS! You're GETTING IN THE WAY!

[ Her voice cracked with anger as she turned back to Hera.]

Do YOU really believe that my life, my lively hood is predicated upon YOUR hypocritical judgements? you whiney sow?

It was MY foresight that showed me the ADVANTAGE to AIDING you and your wretched brotheren in the battle against YOUR FATHER. Everything I have done...ive done of my own volition and UNLIKE YOU, I am NOT bound by Zeus' word. You seek to CONDEMN ME after ALL that i've done for you and these ungreatfull olympians!?

[ she seethed with indignation as she lifted her hands.]

at EVERY TURN i have been disrespected, marginalized, BETRAYED, USED and ABUSED by people who cared more about themselves.

[ casting a hurtfull and HATEFULL glare at Persephone before SLAPPING HER away from her side with MORE than a fraction of her super strength.]

even NOW these careless humans show NO regard for the work that i do as they take perverse pleasure in harming an innocent creature that i gave to Athena as a GIFT of our unspoken friendship.

[ she looked at Athena...and in the last moment...her eyes conveyed one last final "thank you" for her attempts to consdier her.]

and now....as with EVERY pendulum, the time has come for this to swing in the OTHER DIRECTION! the time has come for me to ABANDON any restraint that i once had in my dealings with you repulsive creatures..you who were not even strong enough to deal with your own father. the time has come for ME to exact my JUST REVENGE and to make sure that it is felt time and again by you and those who follow you.

[ Olympus began to tremble as the MOON began to change...]

the moon will run RED with my hatred of ALL OF YOU and before this night has passed, you will learn the FATAL ERROR of your ways!

[ turning to Hera as a chime sounded off.]

and as for YOU, Oh how i've LOATHED and DESPISED YOU.

Now I will do to you what I have yearned to do for SO LONG!

[ thunder CRASHES and lightning strikes....so blinding that it causes everything that was visible to become enshrouded in shadow and vice versa, Hecate unleashes what can only be described as the first "eldritch blast" of extreme mystical power on Olympus.....her arms forward and her hands "palms out" a LARGE halo of violet hued energy, much like what Circe manifested the moment she destroyed Barbara's estate.]

SAY HELLO TO DEMETER AND HADES!!

[ Hecate's hair FLOWS around and behind her as her eyes glow solid white.]

<<ZARK!!>>

[the blast is of the SAME magnitude that Circe had unleashed against Persephone and Minerva's estate...and this time it is ALL directed at HERA! the blast radius expands, to BLAST Athena and Zeus away as if they were nothing but the brunt os the blast slammed into HERA's body...irradiating her from within causing her to glow, sparkle and convulse before finally EXPLODING!]

[ the moon was BLOOD RED and Hecate was clearly beside herself with RAGE. She was heart broken, bitter and now she was past the point of understanding...much like Morgan the night of inferno. the sight of Hecate obliterating Hera was much like that of Morgan obliterating Haleigh...Haleigh HAD to have noticed the parallels and of course the question now was, would Hecate ATTACK The Six?]

Athena

:: clearly Haleigh didnt realize that part of Athena's power was IMMUNITY from the weapons of man. her attempts to injure Athena's physical body with the steel impliments or dagger FAILED and she also had no way of knowing the extent of Athena's physical strength. the two women struggled as Haleigh attempted to hold Athena, this was merely Athena taking Haleigh at her measure but when Bupol was further injured by NICOLAS...Athena's golden eyes glowed as she cried out and BUSTED loose from Haleigh and kocked her down.::

FOOL! you cannot hope to prevail against ME! I am EVERYTHING that you aspire to be and WITHOUT ME, YOU would not EXIST.

:: Hera appeared and defended her husband against Rampage. despite her being annoying most times, the woman prooved that when it came to home and family, it was NOT a good idea to mess with her. Hera handled Nicolas with finesse while Athena's golden hued energy weapons sparkled with a flury of power as she took aim at Haleigh intending to purge her with the golden light of vengeance but almost as soon as Athena's rage peaked, so too did Hecate's.::

:: Bupol had been a gift from Hecate and Athena had become very attached to her feathered friend. to see it be so brutally hurt , it caused the hatred in Athena's soul to rise to new EPIC levels. she would do harm to Haleigh that was beyond ALL KNOWN philosophies and if Haleigh that she was suprerior to Athena...she would find herselef PAINFULL WRONG.::

::but before she could STRIKE OUT at Haleiegh, the woman and nicolas BOTH were hurled away, slammed and pinned against pillars. Athena could see that Hecate had reached a breaking point. ALL she had wanted was for Hecate to stand aside and let what she considered JUSTICE to be dealt...but Persephone's wretched companions interfered and things had now degenerated. Hecate was now beside herself with rage and indignation...but the horrid thing was that Athena could see it was JUSTIFIED!::

:: Hecate slapped Persephone away with force and spat a final curse to Hera as the moon changed...becoming BLOOD RED and the halls of olympus trembled with fearfull anticipation of what was to come.::

HECATE!

:: it was too late, Hecate OBLITERATED Hera and the shockwave blasted Athena HARD as it sent her flying up in the air and falling back to the ground....she was clearly hurt by the impact but Hera...HERA was DESTROYED!::

:: this was not part of Athena's plan. indeed, this was not what she had wanted at all!! Hecate was now unleashed in a way that was dangerous for both the olympians AND the six!::

"I knew it, I fucking knew it."

[ Delilah said it under her breath, but things had certainly gone from horribly bad, to all-out-apocalyptic-crapfest awful. Hecate had used her powers not only against Nicolas and Haleigh, but Persephone as well. THEN she'd evaporated Hera, and had now apparently gone mental. As if they didn't have enough to worry about...

Nicolas and Haleigh hadn't taken the smartest course of action - egging on a goddess - but Hecate chose NOW to be pissed off at Persephone? Didn't anyone else see the big picture here? Why did everyone seem to be hell bent on making things worse?

Hecate still held Nicolas and Haleigh fast - Delilah looked at Morgan and called to her. ]

<< Spellbinder's icy violet eyes widened as poor bupol was seemingly killed! the poor creature.... << Athena busted loose from Haleigh's grip while Hera kept Nicolas at bay. it was TRUE that Zeus wouldnt be where he was without the GODDESSES on Olympus and it was most evident now.>>

<< Hecate's rage and indignation began to crest. Like it or not..the Olympians..INCLUDING Persephone, brought this upon THEMSELVES and Haleigh and Nicolas just didnt help....

<< Morgan shakes her head>>

was it REALLY necessary to hurt Bupol? not to mention hades, the constant judgement and abuse from hera and zeus and knowing what Circe will do.

<< the din of Hecate's blast filled the air and Morgan, who had now released her sword (and it disappeared) covered Delilah to shield her from the mystical fall out. Alison would be protected and Nicolas and Haleigh had enough durability, plus the pillar for support. Persephone was already down and would miss the brunt of the fall out, but just in case, Morgan moves her via disc to herself to keep her safe from danger.>>

<< she looked up, the red moon was in full effect.>>

this is the moment Alison warned us of. It's not that Hecate cant be trusted Delilah...it's that she's HAD ENOUGH! these things that we've seen..they already occurred....its HISTORY and we watched it unfold! you were so quick to defend persephone and now you wish to condemn Hecate, who is FAR more justified at this moment...

<< she crouches down as the WORST of the backlash from Hecate's DESTROYING Hera radiates around the hall, shaking Olympus.>>

but NONE of that matters now! all we need to do is survive long enough to get back to OUR TIME...to do what WE'RE supposed to do!

"I don't wish to condemn her, Morgan, but I won't allow her to destroy us all in her rage, either. So now, what do we do - leave her here like this? Is that what was meant to be? And even if that's the case, how do we return to our own time? We are well and truly fucked if we've ever been..."

DAMMIT!!

:: she watched with horror as Athena's owl was ravaged without any real reason by Haleigh and Nicolas, Athena was clearly about to unleash her wrath upon Haleigh while Hera handled Nicolas and kepet Zeus protected. HE hadnt fallen into her temporal trap yet. Morgan and Delilah WISELY held back...and Alison finally manifested, crouched down on top of a pillar.::

Persephone! MOVE AWAY!

:: she called out..but it was too late, Hecate struck Persephone with such force while Haleigh and Nicolas were pinned against pillars.::

no one listens....

:: Hecate's rage grew and grew as she finally unleashed her bitter hatred upon the Olympians, cursing them before murdering Hera outright and now she seemed poised to attack ANYONE at this time. Morgan shielded Delilah and moved Persephone to hers side to protec her from the fallout and Alison used her own magicks to divert the force away from Nicolas and Haleigh so they would not be crushed. Athena's physical constitution allowed her to withstand what should've been a fatal backlash.::

:: she drops down with grace, landing on her feet as she faces Nicolas and Haleigh.::

THANKS ALOT!

:: Alison spits with agitation, she gestures, doing her best to break them loose from being trapped against the pillars. Hecate wouldnt attack her...she just wanted THEM out of the way and she KNEW that the next round would be between Hecate and Zeus...and that THEIR primary goal was to protect Persephone...keep her alive as LONG as they could.::

now...RAMBO and RED SONJA if you two would REMEMBER the GOAL is not to harm helpless animals....it is to PROTECT PERSEPHONE.

:: as Hecate unleashed her fury agains the halls of Olympus, causing massive statues to be obliterated and pillars to come apart and crash down, Alison, with GREAT STRAIN, was able to BREAK Haleigh and Nicolas free.::

get over there to the others...and WAIT!

:: pushing them as she ran, they narrowly avoid a falling head...that from the statue of HERA as it crshes down on the floor where they once stood.::

:: reaching Morgan, Delilah and Persephone, Alison knelt down and tended to Persephone's face wound.::

THIS IS ALL WRONG....but there's nothing we can do now but go with it.

:: how bad this could get....Alison didnt bother to say, since it appeared that no one would listen to her anyway and they were all used to "we're all going to die" visions. they just didnt seem to realize that death could come any number of ways and just because you came back once before, didnt mean you wouldnt die AGAIN more painfully.::

Zeus will survive Hecate's assault and make another pass for Persephone. Athena will come for Haleigh...

:: Things began to go from bad to worse. Haleigh and Nicolas became overly confident and attacked Athena and Zeus outright. Athena easily avoided Haleigh's attacks, as did Zeus. The six may of believed that the Gods were just an 'ancient' version of them, but they didn't exist for thousands of years without having the power to hold their own. As the four fought, Hera made her grand appearence, slandering Hecate's name and brushing her off as a traitor who needed to be dealt with. That sent Hecate over the edge, and started the beginning of the red moon. She began to voice her outrage to not only the olympians, but the six as well. Even going as far as striking Persephone! Flying back a few feet, Hecate's strikes weren't a simply back hand across the face. They left a person dazed and hurting. Slumped on the floor unconcious, it was a shock that Hecate had hit Persephone at all. She had been through this entire situation before. She saw Hecate's reaction to Hades' death and it was NOTHING like this. She was upset, sure, but she even later confessed to Persephone that she was glad he was gone for the sheer fact that she didn't have the heartache of knowing she couldn't be with him. This entire trip back in time completely painted Persephone out to be this heartless bitch who betrayed her friends, stabbed her mother in the back, and killed for sport. Well...the latter was correct, but everything else was either untrue or only misconstrude. This was NOT how Persephone lived her life originally. These events were completely different and way worse than what had actually happened. And it even surprised her at this point how differently everything was. ::

<< Looking at Delilah, Morgan couldnt argue back on that. THEY couldnt let Hecate destroy THEM ALL ..no matter what the situation....but was it really going to come down to fighting HER as well? She certainly hoped not.>>

Agreed, Delilah...

<< sigh>>

I honestly don't know WHAT to do right now. I'm not a precog like Alison..but i get the feeling that we have a bit of a reprieve right now with Hecate going after Athena and Zeus full force. if ANYONE in this timeline would be strong enough to battle against her it would be the two of them. But i hope she lays Zeus OUT!

<< as Alison, Nicolas and Haleigh joined them, Spellbinder formed a pentagram of protection around the entire team. Hecate began to attack Zeus and Athena.>>

I want to HELP HER!

<< Morgan could feel the pull.>>

This is THEIR FAULT...mostly HIS! << pointing at Zeus.>>

I've BEEN where she is...i KNOW how it feels to feel like you're ALONE and BETRAYED at every turn!

<< the pentagram of protection held fast against the chaos while Morgan healed Persephone. Hecate had struck her so hard that it made even MORGAN flinch. She then looked at Haleigh with an exasperated glare. her icy violet eyes sparkled as she demanded....>>

WHY did you have to provoke Athena? the woman was CLEARLY focused on Persephone. If we had played our cards right, Athena probably wouldnt be as big a problem as she's GOING TO BE now. She's IMMUNE to the "weapons of man" which means anything you MANIFEST against her...given how limited your power to do that is in this timeline....is NOT going to hurt her. you're going to have to fight her close quaters and she's NOT going to be easy to defeat. You'd best hope that you're as good with your moves as you are good with hurting helpless animals.

<< looking at nicolas>>

and YOU! remind me NEVER to leave Tinkerbell or my other kitten in your care. what you did was dishonorable and simply unkind. that owl didnt hurt you...you did that out of cruelty and i thought better of you..until now.

<< Morgan turned away from him. not bothering to hear what if anything he would say.>>

from now on...we work TOGETHER. we rally around persephone and do what we can. there's two of them...and 5 of us. I don't think we can count on Hecate to necessarily be on our side since she is clearly THROUGH with Persephone and pissed off at Haleigh and Nicolas as well but if we're going to get back to OUR time and resume our lives and fix what Circe has broken, we've got to start here.

<< a collapsing column's three sections came crashing down, bouncing off the cylindrical forcefield errected by the pentagram of protection. As Persephone spoke on Hecate, Morgan looked over to the raging goddess>>

maybe...maybe I can help with that. I AM her living avatar while i'm in this timeline and she's SEEN my memories of the Inferno from MY timeline.

but whatever I do...it won't be BEFORE i make SURE Zeus gets a taste of his own medicine.

The bolt of lightning directed at Persephone came hurling back at him. Holding his hand out, palm facing the bolt, it simply absorbed back into him. But Hecate wasn't the only thorn in his side at this moment. Persephone's renegade friends attacked Athena's pet owl! Glaring at the small blonde woman, these people were definitely associates of Persephone. Their actions against innocent animals gave proof to that.

Athena attacked the blonde, but the bruting male warrior diverted the attack and came after him! Rampage swung violently at Zeus, punching him with such force it would of most likely knocked one of the pillars over. However Zeus was not hurt or even phased by this man's attempt to one up him. His body turning into an electrical silhouette just as Rampage struck him, giving him instense jolts of high voltage electricity.

"You FOOL! You cannot harm ME!"

Just as Zeus was about to merge into Rampages body, Hecate interfered! Growling in contempt, Rampage was not Zeus' problem, Persephone was. And what stood between him and frying that murdering snake was Hecate. His wife and Hecate began to exchange words, Zeus narrowing his eyes into a glare as he placed his hand on Hera's. But soon, his eyes widdened in horror. Pulling Hera's hand to try and pull her toward him, Hecate unleashed a masive mystical attack straight at Hera.

"HERA!"

The bolt of magic struck Hera, ripping his grasp from her own. Flying in the air feet away, he landed in a slump next to Athena. The shockwave untamed and powerful enough to destory all in it's path. Lifting his head, he pushed himself up, immediately looking at where Hera stood. Heaving out in utter fury, she had been destoryed...MURDERED!

"YOU MURDERING BANSHEE! I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS!"

A massive battle between himself, Hecate, and Athena began. The six wise to shield themselve in a protection of magick. It was brutal, intense, and far from ending any time soon.

:: Stiring in Morgan's arms, Persephone moaned out feeling the pain from Hecate's attack. Even though Morgan and Guardian tended to the forceful hit, it still hurt like a bitch. Lifting her hand up to her sore cheek, she could barely touch it without wincing. ::

"Damnit.."

:: Opening her eyes finally, she realized Morgan was holding her. Lifting her body up off of the sourceress, Persephone caught a glimpse of the brutal battle between Athena, Hecate, and Zeus. This was just...this was all wrong. She knew that the time line was already tainted beyond repair, but Hecate's reaction, the deadly battle. Hera---Looking over to the throne, she saw a pile of black ash resting where Hera once was. Hera was now dead as well. The only Gods who were ever supposed to die were Demeter and Hades. This was becoming insane...and Hecate was getting out of control. ::

"We need to stop her.."

Pushing herself into a kneeling position, Persephone's once regal black dress was now torn from sliding on the stone ground. Her body enveloped in winds changing her gown into her normal black, halter styled, leather jumpsuite with silver imprinted vines around her torso and upper thigh. With transfiguring whip (dormient at that moment), and mystic daggers accounted for, Persephone stood, prepared for battle. ::

Haleigh struggled with Athena, as she saw her weapons weren't working. Well, that was a nice surprise. Might Hecate have mentioned THAT during the briefing? Athena mustered up the outrage to break free of Haleigh's grip and even managed to KNOCK Haleigh to the marble floor.

"Hmm, you know, that is TOO TRUE, which is why it is MOST unfortunate that we are pitted against each other here, Athena, but alas.... such is the luck of the draw. Ah, but be CAREFUL now, Goddess. You MAY be able to kill ME... but I will be BACK again later.... and you may not be so successful... in fact, as TIME would have it, you won't EVEN BE AROUND. Perhaps you ought NOT get so complacent with your immortality."

As Athena poised to strike Haleigh with the golden sword, Haleigh rolled quickly out of the way, scrambling in retreat, when Hecate started LOSING HER SHIT and completely swept both Haleigh and Nicolas up, pinning them against pillars. Haleigh braced herself for the backlash of Hecate's blast. She couldn't take cover but Alison managed to divert the brunt of it away and then worked to free them. Haleigh couldn't help but detect dry sarcasm in the the 'thanks alot' that Alison spat at them. She glanced at Nicolas as Alison chastised them for attacking Athena and Zeus.

"Oh, golly, I'm SORRY.... I was under the impression that THATS WHAT WE WERE DOING! You know, DISTRACTING their attention away from the original target.... you should be familiar with this tactic, it's only CREATING A DIVERSION 101! Nicolas and I are on the same page, but the three of YOU [Morgan, Alison, Delilah] aren't even in the same GODDAMN BOOK!"

Alison and Morgan seemed to have their 'tag-team' game still going, as Guardian passed Haleigh and Nicolas off to Spellbinder, who began to scold them about their ethical judgement. Morgan seemed to tune out anything Nicolas might rebutt with, but Haleigh had his back, and she appealed FOR him.

"EXCUSE US, Morgan, but WE were busy being at WAR. BAD THINGS happen in war, UNSPEAKABLE things... death and suffering is a BIG PART of war, and animals are NOT exempt. NICOLAS and I UNDERSTAND this, and One would THINK that ATHENA, of ALL people, would ALSO. I guess NOT. I did what I HAD to, and I WONT apologize. That damn bird creeps the fuck out of me and I'm not having it fly all around here willy nilly, shitting in YOUR HAIR and distracting you from what's important. YEAH. Thank us later."

Nicolas was was surprised at Zeus and Hera's quick reaction to his attack, but not unprepared. He had already grounded himself and so Zeus' attack dissipated against him. He was actually welcoming the merge when Hecate became unhinged...over a FUCKING familiar!! That pissed Nicolas off, as everyone seemed to fail to realize that Bupol had a telepathic rapport with Athena, and that he gave her an extra-keen set of additional eyes on the field of battle. They also seemed to be unaware that it was as smart as any of them, ANALYZING and figuring out what the gun was before ANY Olympian and that intelligence only added to Athena's own.

As Nicolas prepared to teleport from under Hecate's TK push, Alison swooped in and "saved" him and Haleigh, chiding them both. He then made his way to the rest of the group, where Morgan hit him with a low blow then TURNED her back on him!! He'd had enough!!

Nicolas teleported in front of Morgan and gave his retort.

BUPOL is no more an "innocent creature" than we are. He was giving aid to Athena and she has aligned against us. That makes it a target. As our leader, you would serve us better channeling your contempt to the CORRECT avenues rather than judging your group.

Nicolas then turned his back on HER and addressed everyone else.

Whether you agree with Haleigh and my tact or not, we will not survive trying to figure out how to DEFEND their many and varied attacks. The key is for us to keep THEM on their heels. And that won't happen while we sit on our hands. So, we either FULLY retreat or we attack whoever threatens us. Or we get killed sitting around attacking each other. <<glances at Morgan quickly>>

I for one will not go out without a fight!!!!

:: Alison looked at Nicolas::

YOU jumped the gun. BOTH of you. You seem to forget that all of this HAPPENED BEFORE. We're VISITING and we're NOT supposed to interfere anymore than we NEED TO.

:: the protection pentagram provided a much needed respite from the violent confrontation that raged between Hecate, Zeus and Athena.::

and CLEARLY you don't understand anything. If Hecate were acting ONLY because of Bupol...don't you think she would've blasted one of YOU instead of Hera? this is BIGGER than that.Hecate didnt become unhinged SOLELY because of Bupol, that was just one of MANY insults/betrayals/acts of disrespect that she took PERSONAL. We've seen the visions, we've heard the stories... Hecate was going to catalyze the red moon one way or the other..but these events that we're seeing NOW are ALL WRONG. Hera ISNT supposed to be DEAD right now. What we're witnessing right now..is NOT what was recorded in history. Persephone has already pointed that out and it should be clearly evident now.

:: looking up::

Did you really think that EITHER of you were strong enough to over power Athena and Zeus? they arent simply "ancient versions" of US..or anything similar...these are IMMORTAL beings with BASIC powers that set them apart from humans ...not to mention their own individual powers. They have stronger physical constitutions than ANY of us. How do you think PERSEPHONE has managed to live 4 lifetimes to OUR ONE?

:: looking at Hecate::

Hecate's story is much like that of Morgan's...and while she was destined to curse the Olympians with the red moon...THIS HERE is not what was supposed to happen. at this rate...she is VERY LIKELY to murder the olympians and then come for US. If you thought CIRCE was near fatal...then you dont want to know what Hecate will do to US. Not even Morgan and I can hope to repell her for very long..and you heard what Persephone said about her when she gets angry.

:: looking among the group. especially Morgan and Nicolas::

it doesnt matter now, at this point, how dispicable we may have found Nicolas and Haleigh's attacks on Bupol to be. We can sort out any contempt we have LATER...right now, we have to prepare. there is a SPECIFIC moment where we will be able to act and while some of you may be accustomed to my "we're going to die" visions....I'm telling you NOW...that some of us...aren't going to make it. we're past the point of no return and all we can do is make sure that Persephone survives. if even one or two of us goes back with her to OUR TIMELINE, then we will be a step closer to our goal.

:: pointing::

prepare yourselves. the time to move is close at hand! Morgan will deactivate her petagram of protection and at that time she will go first...Delilah, because you have the advantage of range and "speed of light" activation with your powers, keep back with Persephone. the rest of you will follow ME.

Slamming into a stone pillar, the impact of his body cracked the pillar in half, sending it falling onto the six's pentagram of protection. Pushing himself up from the ground, Hecate attacked Athena next, unleashing a massive attack, much like the one she did on Hera. Zeus needed to stop Hecate quickly before she damn near destoryed all of Mount Olympus.

Zeus' body sunk into the ground, disappearing from sight as Hecate continued to attack Athena. Moments passed before only his hands appeared out of the stone floor beneath Hecate. Grabbing her ankles tightly, jolts of electricity, energy plasts, and plasma pulses invaded her body violentely. Enough power to obiterate half of the Greek peninsula. With his hands still holding onto her ankles, the rest of his body rose from the ground, dangling Hecate in the air aside of him.

"Sourceress Supreme? HA! You will fall AT MY HAND, you murdering COW!"

'Tossing' her fourty feet across the room, Hecate's body went souring through the air in lightning speed before it SLAMMED into the iron double doors that lead into the throne room. Zeus' strength was matched to that of a modern day juggernaut. Extending his neck from side to side, Zeus went to Athena's aid and lifted her from the ground.

"Now that she's out of the way..."

Turning to the six, Zeus' eyes locked with Persephone's. They flashed with electricity and anger.

"I will have my revenge! My brother, sister, and wife's deaths will not be in vain! You will SHARE THEIR FATE!"

:: Alison's precognition was an invaluable advantage to the team, but she knew that they didnt always LISTEN to their harbinger and that was their downfall. Despite Alison's warning to Athena, the goddess of war opened fire upon Black Widow with a rapid volley of golden hued energy arrows. the arrows sliced through the air silently and quickly....herding Black Widow away from the group and making it VERY hard for her to stay ahead of them.::

Nicolas ignores the negativity from his team an d focuses on the task at hand. Alison's prcognition was at its peak and Morgfan had given Zeus a nasty gash to his chest. he was prepared to assist but he was wondering, where was Haleigh?!! As he accessed her eyes to see what she saw, he realized that Athena had gotten to her before she could fully register the threat, pinning her to a pillar. He would return to help Morgan and Alison but first...

A dark hand grabs Athena by the head and slams her backward into the ground with thunderous force. Nicolas used his TK to teleport behind Athena while she was occupied with speaking of how he could not help Haleigh now, and he rematerialized into an attack before she could register him. He teleported away with a parting shot, laughing, his voice echoing from everywhere at once.

Just a little equalizer from a "barbarian" friend. Hales, kick that bitch's ass for me, OK??

Nicolas came back seconds after leaving ready to assist, with a wicked smile on his face. He liquefied the ground at Zeus feet, making him sink into it and making planting virtually impossible...

He certainly liked to be in many places at once..didnt he? well she had something in store for HIM that would come into view soon enough. at the MOMENT however, he pulled her back and slammed her down to the ground with such force, however, her HELMET took the brunt of any force to her head and blunted the impact! she learned from each battle and continued to add the knowledge and tatical applications used by her foes into her own memory.::

:: in a truly distastefull move in her opinion, Rampage was already AWAY from her before she had her chance to retaliate, choosing instead to use annoyance and provocation to try to distract her. The goddess was acclimated to HIS tactics and did not bother to respond. If he returned again, he would have something to deal with that would proove far WORSE than he imagined. but before HALEIGH could take advantage of the situation, she found herself being TRAMPLED by golden energy in the shape of HORSES ridden by AMAZONS! Athena was the patron goddess of the Amazons (along with Artemis).::

:: this golden apparition had the force and impact of REAL horses charging at top speed as the "amazons" played trumpets triumphantly. As the horses and Amasons disappeared quickly as they came charing through, Athena rose to her feet and her sword transformed into a long chain with a large ball....a mace of sorts [ think of the Athena game on Nintendo] ::

:: with magnificent fluency and dexterity, Athena wields the ball and chain, swinging it as she moves forward and slamming the ball down upon the ground where Haleigh was laying. the sound it made was unusual as well. the ball and chain had enough concussive power ALONE to smash through marble and concret. being weilded by ATHENA, it gained all the MORE force and velocity and she intended to PULP Haleigh's body::

Seeing the blonde carbon copy of Hecate come forth to attack him, Zeus was far from frightened of this pint sized twit. With a weapon most impressive, Spellbinder slashed it across his chest with easy and speed, creating a large gash that stung like hell. Growling out in pain, Zeus gritted his teeth as the gash began to spark and cauterize itself.

"Your witty retorts are humerous, child. But do you have the skill to back up your claims?!"

As Spellbinder swung to hit him, Zeus simply ducked, evading the attack. With Spellbinder's arm extended out from the swing, Zeus grabbed her forearm and upper arm, twisting her arm in two opposite directions, breaking the elbow joint with ease. Pushing her body away, she flew a few feet in the air before landing.

Before he could turn his attention to Persephone, Guardian slowed down his movements drastically, leaving him open for an attack.

Light pink sparkles soon created a visable 'breeze' as it traveled beautifully in the air, circling around many members of the six. The pink breeze of dust soon began to form around Alison, weaving around her body -

"Alison...."

- A beautiful whisper was heard only by Alison, echoing in her head. Alison became entranced by Aphodite, instantly stopping what she was doing. It would look as if Alison was hypnotized. -

"Trust your heart, Alison....Follow your true feelings...succumb to your desires."

- An overwhelming sensation of bitterness washed over Alison. Hatred and rage began to pump throughout her veins, creating an irrational desire to attack and kill NICOLAS. -

"Morgan doesn't deserve, Nicolas. He will only hurt her....like many others have hurt her....Stop him, Alison. Stop him before he destorys her. KILL Nicolas before it's too late."

- Alison's rationalization was gone. Her ability to logically map out why she would want to hurt Nicolas was nonexistant. Although a powerful precog, Aphrodite's pull over pheromones easy swayed Alison into doing what she wanted her to do. Her psi screen and mental barriers would not protect her from hightened emotions. Zeus quickly gained the upper hand on Morgan, BREAKING HER ARM and tossing her aside. Nicolas softened the blow by liquefying the ground beneath her momentarily and turned to Alison as he saw Alison's SLOW attack work on Zeus.

Do we attack him now, or take a moment to regroup while he is... Alison?!

He saw that Alison's eyes were widened, her breathing very slow, her pupils dilated. She was obviously entranced, but by whom? He saw her eyes harden as she looked at him, and he guessed what would be next. What to do???! Then, he remembered Morgan's words..

He quickly removed his axe and held it in front of Alison. A blinding light shone forth from it as it worked to break the mental hold on her mind, drawing energy from all around and augmented by his own telepathic might. In addition, Nicolas MANUALLY regulated Alison's pheromone and hormone levels so that the madness would subside, and augmented her flight/fight response to heighten her senses and give her some defense.

Break free, Alison. You are much stronger than that...

Nicolas caused the ground to move Morgan behind him as he faced Zeus again. Reaching out, he caused spikes to shoot up from the ground, with the intent of impaling the still-slowed Olympian emperor...

Morningstar had a little something to add to the conversation. It would seem that she didn't appreciate Haleigh's reasoning OR her tendency of self-defense. Go figure.... regardless, Haleigh eyed Delilah as she spoke and then instantly fired off something ELSE Delilah was unlikely to appreciate.

"HEY! Piss OFF!"

Alison moved in to give a big ole epic speech, and Haleigh glanced at nicolas again, speaking to him in the way she knew only HE would hear.... her thoughts. Funny, I thought the time to MOVE had already PASSED, didn't you?? Whatever.... just let it go. It's OBVIOUS they don't understand and we can't very well MAKE them. Alison seems to think I should be AFRAID of fighting Athena... but fear has never really QUITE registered with me. I'll draw her off, the less gods we have focused on killing Ava, the BETTER. YOU make sure you keep a lookout for surprises.... She plotted. Alison warned her that Athena would be coming from the right, to which Haleigh nodded in gratitude. She kept from LOOKING in that direction to allow Athena to believe she was succesful, but really, Haleigh began to fall back as the group moved and was prepared enough to DODGE the arrows... for a being capable of dodging bullets, this task was less than a challenge. Athena slammed Haleigh with her shield and began trying to CRUSH her against pillar, but Haleigh's physical structure was far more dense than the average human and she was able to withstand such force. Nicolas offered a helping hand and a parting word, and Haleigh smirked as she was released from Athena's hold.

Before she had a chance to retaliate, however, she was overtaken by a STAMPEDE of horses. Being raised in the stables had its advantages, and she was able to avoid being stepped on through sheer experience, but the last horse, determined to get a hit in, KICKED her square in the back as it ran off. Haleigh was THROWN to the ground, as Athena was recovering and Haleigh rolled onto her back and tried to shake off getting the wind knocked out of her. Down came a large MACE, and Haleigh rolled out of the way, getting to her feet quickly and scowling. Athena was maintaining a steady onslaught to keep Haleigh from getting the upper hand, an admirable technique... but it was high time Haleigh turned the tables.

"What's the matter, GODDESS? Can't fight me without your little toys?"

Rather than moving BACK and away from the swing of the mace, Haleigh moved QUICKLY forth, GRABBING the mace by the chain and reeling Athena in with a violent JERK. With speed and precision, Haleigh snatched Athena by the throat, yanking her down towards her, grabbing that troublesome helmet and ripping it CLEAN OFF. She began unleashing a MELEE of punches..... with Haleigh's speed [and she could move in excess of the speed of SOUND] and brute strength, it would feel like someone was taken a JACKHAMMER to Athena's face.

:: an subtle but no less persuasive presence washes over Alison. she cant help but breath in deeply as Aphrodite floods her consciousness and affects her emotions. its like being in a dream so real that when you wake up, your emotions are still reeling from that dream. Nicolas was EVIL! he would hurt Morgan as SO MANY others had! NOT THIS TIME! NOT IF ALISON HAD ANYTHING to do with it!::

:: in the shock of Zeus breaking Morgan's arm and hurling her away, Alison was GONE from view..or was she? as far as Rampage was concerned, she was still there....still reeling from the entrance effect.::

He quickly removed his axe and held it in front of Alison. A blinding light shone forth from it as it worked to break the mental hold on her mind, drawing energy from all around and augmented by his own telepathic might. In addition, Nicolas MANUALLY regulated Alison's pheromone and hormone levels so that the madness would subside, and augmented her flight/fight response to heighten her senses and give her some defense.

Break free, Alison. You are much stronger than that...

:: an admirable move that may very well have worked! if it had been the REAL Alison he was confronting, but the precog was INFINITELY faster than Nicolas and had cast an ILLUSION for him to focus on while SHE was now behind him. ::

You'll hurt Morgan.

:: her voice was flat and cold::

I won't LET YOU!

:: a bell tolled as Alison was now INSTANTLY upon Nicolas using her temporal power to speed up her moves to cause her to leave an image trail behind every move, she attacked him from ALL sides, striking him with an array of punch/kick combos while augmenting the force and strength her battery of physical attacks with her telekinetic power before spinning around ballerina style and blinking out of sight . seconds later, the sound of rushing chimes is heard as she gestures ala' prue halliwell and TK's him away with a small scale bomb blast concentrated at his chest and stomach::

:: nicolas was the physically strongest of t he team and could take ALOT of damage..and Alison was one of the FEW who had to power to find out just HOW MUCH damage he could take!::

i'll kill you first

:: her cool voice declared::

:: she strode forward, with a cold glare in her eyes as she thrust her hands forward again and BLASTED him with an molecular acceleration attack directed at his genitals and private parts::

:: she continued to come forward before stopping and holding out her hand..::

HEART!

:: she began the shocking, painfull attack of calling for and attempting to TELEBLINK his heart from his body!::

:: Athena mightly swing the mace and commanded it as if it were an extension of her being but Black Widow was far more bold, far more durable and daring than most. she grabbed the golden chain and yanked and while she wasnt as strong as Athena, she caught the goddess at a moment where her weight wasnt even distributed. Athena had no choice but to come forward in the pull but the mace itself changed form again, taking away Haleigh's grip.::

:: Black Widow now had Athena in close and attacked, yanking away the trademark helmet. and assaulting her with a melee of punches!::

:: an excellent move, perfectly excecuted, she landed nearly ALL of her blows as Athena fell back on the floor with Black Widow on top of her but for all of Haleigh's increased physical constitution and durability, not to mention her super strength, ATHENA was MORE!::

:: in the flurry of the attack, it was impossible to see Athena's facial expression amid the fury of fists and punches...any NORMAL woman, or even many super powered women with less stamina and durability would have been MORE than knocked out by now but after what seemed like MINUTES, athena's arms reached around and GRABBED Haleigh's wrists and applied so much pressure that they went numb. Athena's immortal body could take ALOT of damage and if Haleigh was willing to test those limits, she had better be prepared to RECEIVE the same test herself :fdevil:::

::the gloves were off now::

my weapons of war and justice are TOO MUCH for a common creature like YOU! allow me to show you what PHYSICALITY is ALL ABOUT!

:: rolling/tumbling with Haleigh, Athena reversed there positions before she took her up in the air, still gripping her by her wrists. Athena, now standing upright in the air swung Haleigh's body from the left to the right SLAMMING her into a pillar on each side before swinging her AROUND and SLAMMING HER DOWN on the ground.::

a version of what your barbarian attempted to do to ME but unlike ME..YOU are not impervious to DEATH!

:: Athena brought the heel of her boot down on Haleigh's chest with force before PUNTING her across the floor:

GET UP! and come for MORE!!

:: Athena no longer looked as regal and impeccably put together. her golden blonde, curled looks hung around her face, looking more wild but still somehow stylish, her facial countenance was darkened. there were signs of battle and damage but not total bruising. she wipped blood from her lip and smirked. it was clear that she was ready to raise the level of brutality in this fight

NO!! ALISON!!

<< she narrowed her eyes. she couldnt deviate now, not while Zeus was a sitting duck! and as she continued her fierce, directed descent with her arms stretched ahead of her a halo of dark magick continued to swell around her hands until the last possible moment when she DECLOAKED. for Zeus it would be like seeing a ball out of the corner of his eye the last second before it HIT HIM in the face!>>

GERONIMO! YOU BASTARD!

Under the influence of Guardian's temperal stasis, Zeus was caught off guard as Spellbinder swooped down, detonating a massive eldritch blast that rocked his entire body. Roaring, the pain was intense, leaving him vulnerable to yet another attack. With such a massive attack, it was unbelieveable that he wasn't destoryed by it, further proving just how resilient and powerful the Gods were.

Falling forward from Spellbinder's blow to his back, Zeus arched upward yelling out in pain. A crack could be heard indicating Spellbinder's attempts to break his back might of succeeded. But just as she swung the metal spike at him, Zeus caught it with both hands, thrusting it upward and slamming the metal into Spellbinder's chin, uppercutting her with great force. Pulling the weapon away from her hands, he cocked his arm back, throwing it like a javelin through the air until it slammed into one of the great walls of the castle. The wall cracked instantly, sending a fierce tremor that shook the entire mountain. The tremor became more intense until finally, the ten story tall wall cracked at various places before the hundred ton slabs of stone broke off and came CRASHING down amongst the six and Spellbinder.

As the wall created a diversion, Zeus' body 'sunk' into the stone below, disappearing from sight. Needing time to recuperate after Spellbinder's powerful attacks, he would come back for her later.

:: Persephone kept her distance along side of Morningstar. Athena was having a go at Haleigh, but she seemed to hold her own for now. And Zeus had actually survived Spellbinder's enormous attack. It even surprised Persephone that he managed to live through it. But as Zeus fought back, he created a massive shockwave throughout the entire mountain, causing walls and pillars to come tumbling down. ::

:: Seeing a massive slab of stone come crashing toward both herself and Morningstar, Persephone lifted her hand, palm facing outward, sending a powerful blast of wind at the stone, shattering it into dust. The wind continued to flow, picking up the broken dust and tornadoing it around Athena. The winds so powerful, it was like a sandstorm in the desert. The grains of sand slaming into Athena's body at accelerated speed, powerful enough to erode stone, and feeling like she was being pelted with golf ball sized hail. It was amazing what little grains of sand could do. ::

:: Alison caught Persephone's eye, seeing her beging to attack Nicolas. A questionable look came upon her face, wondering what the hell would prompt her to---Aphrodite. At this point, it didn't surprise Persephone that Aphrodite would turn against her and fight along side of Zeus and Athena. The timeline had changed so drastically anything at this point could happen. Aphrodite's pull over emotions and desires was so strong, she could sway even the most powerful of telepaths. With Aphrodite no where in sight, it was hard to break her bond with Alison, leaving Nicolas vulnerable to Alison's attacks. ::

[ Delilah held back with Persephone, watching the events develop. Haleigh persisted at being a bitch, Nicolas grandstanding. But no matter, they had bigger fish to fry. Her body glowed a soft green as she ramped up her powers, ready to strike when needed.

Haleigh and Athena battled, while Morgan went after Zeus. Delilah heard the sickening sound of Morgan's arm being broken by Zeus, as it dangled at a gruesome and unnatural angle. She knew Morgan could take care of healing herself, but it still was not easy to watch.

Her attention was ripped away from Zeus and Athena as she saw ALISON attacking NICOLAS? Had everyone gone mad? ]

"Alison! What are you DOING?"

[ From where she stood Delilah's threw out her hand, creating a cage of laser light around Alison. She threw a solid wall up between her and Nicolas - she could only hope that interrupting Alison's view of Nicolas would interrupt her concentration enough to delay her attack... ]

As Nicolas attempted to calm Alison a toll is heard and he turns just in time to receive the brunt of THE REAL Alison's accelerated attack. Her blows are impressive indeed, and almost anyone else would have died form this attack alone, but Nicolas simply covered up and gave himself a moment to think. THINK!!!

He did not want to harm the precog, but it was clear that she was not herself. He would have to use trickery of his own. He rolled with the high pressure TK blast that she sent him away with and, as he got up, he switched in a stone doppleganger of himself for her to focus on while he hid away, recuperating quickly. As she made mincemeat of the golem's family jewels she reached out and attempted to take its heart. As he readied a response he noticed that Alison ha set up a cage in between the doppleganger and Alison so as the distact her further. Even better. He resisted the teleblink with his own TK in order to buy time, then teleported behind the distracted Harbinger after telekinetically confirming her position. He then diplsayed the axe in front of her, its light blinding in an attempt to repeat the process with the real Alison that worked so well on her apparent fake.

Alison!! Snap the hell out of it!!! I would never hurt any of you!!

- The breeze of soft pink sparkles soon began to flow into the destoryed chamber room once again. Centering around Morningstar, it circled around her body, weaving between around her limbs until finally disappearing into her nose and mouth. -

"Delilah...."

- Aphrodite's soft voice echoed in Delilah's mind, entrancing her immediately. Much like Alison, she looked hypnotized and unresponsible to anything that was going around her. Delilah felt calm an at peace, her body becoming warm and tingly. But without warning, the wonderful feeling of serenity changed into that of utter disgust and distain. Images of Persephone murdering Hades flooded Delilah, flashing more intensly in her mind. -

"Your heart is full of light, Delilah. Your mind untainted by greed and vengeance. You cannot continue to trust Persephone. She will turn on you like she did her own mother and husband."

- Delilah's logic and sensability became clouded. Her thoughts were not her own anymore, but that of Aphrodite. Her feelings warped into feeling angered and betrayed. -

"Break the light barrier preventing Alison from attacking Nicolas. He fights to save Persephone. He is as unworthy of your trust just as she is. Let Alison kill Nicolas.....and you, Delilah...you kill Persephone. Stop her from destorying your family. Your team. Kill her before she kills you."

He had his axe out! He was going to KILL ALISON!! No...she could not let that happen. This impetuous newcomer was out to destroy them all...he was clearly a tool of their enemies sent to seduce and weaken Morgan so he could gain their trust. Well he would not succeed!

MorningStar's eyes bled to bright green and with a wave of her hand Alison's cage disappeared. Spreading her fingers, laser bullets burst from her hands hitting the stone around Alison and shattering it, freeing her. ]

"Alison! Behind you!"

[ Knowing that Alison could make short work of Nicolas - that his powers were no match for the seer - Delilah turned slowly to Persephone. ]

"Your family has brought this team nothing but trouble from the beginning."

[ MorningStar reached for Persephone, her hands closing around the goddess' neck, and she squeezed. She absorbed the noise of the battles raging behind her and forced photon energy to her hands, sending it directly into Persephone's body. Her hands glowed a green to match her eyes, intensifying as her rage intensified, her face in a cruel sneer. ]

"We can't trust you, and if Morgan can't see that, then I'll have to do what needs to be done to protect us. I won't let you take my family from me. I'll kill you first - and anyone who tries to stop me."

As Nicolas began the process of trying to help Alison, he saw a laser burst destroy her stone prison. It was DELILAH now, and she was no better off than Alison. He knew that he could not fight this fire one at a time. He sank into the ground in order to buy time to confront the source. He reached out to see who was where, taking the time to pinpoint the mind that was doing this to everyone. Once he found it, he used his TK to loosen the ceiling above her and, a ten ton stone block suddenly fell on Aphrodite.

"Delilah! What are you doing?!"

:: Persephone saw Delilah set Alison free, allowing her to further attack Nicolas. Aphrodite had taken control over Delilah as well. Morningstar came forward, grabbing Persephone's neck and strangling her. Suddenly, not only was Persephone lacking oxygen, but a powerful surge of photon energy went charging throughout her body, making her start to convulse. Although it was painful enough to make Persephone scream, Delilah's hold around her throat prevented her from doing anything but gasp. ::

:: The stone ground beneath Delilah rumbled before two large green vines burst through. One vine wrapped tightly around Delilah's neck, pulling her back away from Persephone. The other around both wrists before sprouting inch long sharp thorns that stabbed into her delicate flesh. Pulling away from Delilah's grasp, Persephone fell to the floor, coughing out violently as small amounts of smoke left her mouth. She didn't want to hurt Delilah, but she wasn't about to be killed by her either. ::

:: Though the vines wouldn't hold her for long, Persephone pushed herself back away from the blonde, putting some distance between them. Aphrodite was a very powerful woman. She was tought by Athena to strategize everything ahead of time to prevent their foe from gaining the upper hand. She used her powers differently from person to person, preying on their most vulnerable thoughts, emotions, and desires, making her attacks personal and deadly. She almost always physically stayed out of the fights to prevent herself from being hurt, but this also did well for psychological warfare, when she pitted team mates against one another. Nothing is worse than realize you killed your own friend/teammate and having to live with it. Persephone knew how Aphrodite worked, but the problem was, she was so good at what she did, it made it nearly impossible for anyone to defeat her. Even Persephone. The only way she could prevent herself and Delilah from getting hurt was to incapacitate Morningstar. The stone ground beneath Delilah began to loose it's molecular cohesion, turning into quick sand. The more she fought, the quicker she sunk into the sand. ::

Aphrodite

- Nicolas attempts to take Aphrodite out of the equation failed. For Aphrodite physical body was not in the throne room, or even on Mount Olympus. She was WITHIN both Alison and Delilah. During the act of possestion, Aphrodite had the ability to control numerous people at a time, never leaving herself vulnerable to outside attacks. This made her nearly invinsible during battles, even against telepaths. For Aphrodite linked herself into her possessors makeup, never allowing them to get a clear reading as to where she was within the possessors body. It was as if she was cloaked; one with the body. -

"Stupid boy"

- Her words being spoken by Alison, but with her own vocal patterns. Alison's body tensed as Aphrodite began to poison her mind once again. Alison could see Rampage and Spellbinder clearly in front of her, both heated and fighting verbally. Nicolas struck Morgan, knocking her out. -

"He's hurting her...."

- Pinning Morgan's body to the ground, Alison watched as Nicolas began to kiss Morgan's neck, taking ADVANTAGE of her unconcious friend. -

"He won't stop until he gets what he wants."

- Rage, disgust, hate, and betrayal began to pump throughout Alison's body as she continued to 'watch' Nicolas hurt her friend. Aphrodite tapped into Alison's worst fears of seeing her friend used and abused as as Aphrodite manipulated her vision, allowing Alison to see whatever she wanted her to see. -

"You must protect your friend. You must save her from this pig! Destory Nicolas NOW!"

The thorns pierced her skin painfully. She clenched her fists and her body lit up like a Christmas tree, the heat from light radiation burning the vines away. And unfortuneately dropping her into the quicksand. ]

"No!"

[ She cried out, her prey slipping away from her. She accelerated her body to light speed, allowing her to "fly" out of the affected area and land herself on solid ground.

She threw her arm out to the side, manifesting her light whip. She cracked the whip beside her, then turned it on Persephone, discharging stun beams as it snaked towards her. ]

Nicolas almost realized his folly too late as he had to divert falling ceiling from BOTH Persephone and Delilah. Aphrodite;s mind was here, INSIDE these two women. Mixed with theirs like a soup. And she was working again, he could "hear" her now, working on Alison to turn her against Nicolas.

But HER MIND was here, and while she could easily hide in Delilah, Alison was psi-screened and she was not. In Alison's makeup she stuck out like a sore thumb. So Nicolas stuck out at the mind he saw trying to hide in Alison's psyche with a mind bolt, a nasty version of what he realized Malice had done time and again to others. This type of bolt would have NO EFFECT on Alison, but for Aphrodite...it might work, at least long enough to buy time as he worked backwards along the link she had created, trying to see where she was and more importantly, who she was around...

:: Unraveling her own whip, Persephone snapped it at her side while grabbing one of her Mystic daggers. Turning her head and wincing from the stun beams, Persephone raised the mystic dagger, creating a bubble of mystic energy, reflecting the stun beams back at Morningstar. Levetating in the air, Persephone extended both her arms out to the side before her body began to turn at rapid speeds (think Storm) toward Delilah. The thirty foot whip swung out to the side, snapping around Delilah's stomach. The end of the whip transformed into two metal teeth, latching into Delilah's skin with a vice grip. As Persephone continued to spin, she let the whip go, it automatically coiling tightly around Delilah's body and restraining her arms. ::

"Is that all you got bitch?"

[ Persephone unleashed her whip and MorningStar cried out as the metal teeth cut into her flesh and she was bound. The pain was intense. Persephone got close enough to Delilah to kiss her...to kiss her?! Delilah spit into Persephone's face as she pulled away. ]

"You should have taken that opportunity to do more than kiss me you whore bag."

[ She was beginning to feel dizzy, but assumed it was from blood loss. She had to deal with this problem once and for all and quickly so that she could tend to her own wounds. Persephone made one mistake - though her arms were drawn tight to her body, she had left Delilah's hands free. ]

"And now I will destroy you."

[ Delilah spread her fingers wide. Her body began to glow brighter and brighter until she was blinding. She began to rise from the ground, becoming almost like a ray of light floating in the air. Her eyes were solid green now - the whites completely disappeared in the jewel toned color. Her blonde hair flowed around her and looked almost white in its brightness. Her body looked fluid now, and Persephone's whip fell to the ground as she slipped out of its grasp. She looked down at Persephone on the ground, eyes blazing with a ferocity the others would have rarely seen in Delilah. Reaching one arm out, palm facing out in a "stop" motion, she sent a powerful focused ultrasound beam directed at Persephone which could easily liquify living tissue. Throwing the other arm out, fingers pointed out and spread wide, she sent a pressor beam of photon energy out. The two beams intertwined as they made their way to Persephone, hitting her full on with the entire force of Delilah's power. Her voice boomed from her mouth, hardly sounding her own. ]

"Goddess? I don't think so."

[ The dizzyness MorningStar had been feeling was now full fledged numbness. She felt like she was swimming in jello, and tired...so tired. She was draining all of her energy with this attack on Persephone, whose poison was now running its course all throught Delilah's body. It finally hit her that Persephone's kiss had been much more... Her voice was soft now, strained with the effort to get the words out... ]

"Oh...you've killed me...you bitch...you've done it..."

[ The light in Delilah's body suddenly cut out and was extinguished. Her eyes closed as she passed out. The others could only watch as she fell to the earth, not able to even move to break her fall... ]

:: Turning her cheek to Delilah as she spit at her, Persephone tightened her grip around her mystic dagger annoyed at being spit at. But then again, she did do the exact same thing to Athena when they first arrived here. Backing away from Delilah as her body began to glow painfully brilliant, the toxins should of effected her instantly, rendering her unconcious.... Withdrawing her other mystic dagger, Persephone held them ready, watching Delilah in a way she had never seen the mutant before. Raising both mystic daggers in an "X" fashion in front of her body, a green wall formed in front of her just as the ultrasound/photon energy combo came crashing toward her. Knocked backward, Persephone struggled to keep her body anchored from the powerful attack. Gritting her teeth, she closed her eyes tightly, feeling the daggers begin to turn red hot, burning her flesh. Screaming out, her arms shook with strain while her body slowly began to slide backward from the intensity of the beams. Finally, in a grand show of power on Delilah's part, the strain between mystic energy and photonic energy overloaded and EXPLODED, shaking the entire throne room and sending Persephone's body hurling backward, SLAMMING into a stone wall twenty feet away. ::

:: Falling to the floor in a heap, Persephone's leather battle suit was burnt at various places, exposing her bloodied and chared skin. Barely breathing, Persephone knew that her odds for living through the battle were slim to none, but it was ironic that she would fall at the hands of one of her teammates. Persephone's vision began to blur to black before her eyes slowly fell shut. Taking her last breath before her body went limp, Aphrodite had succeeded...Persephone was dead.::

- Nicolas 'mind bolt' was a logical way to try and stop Aphrodite, but while within Alison, Aphrodite's makeup was one with Alison's, leaving her in complete protection by her psi screen. -

"Trying so hard, young Rampage, in a fight you will not win. I'm impervious to your grade school attacks. You will DIE.....just as Persephone just did."

- Again, Aphrodite spoke through Alison, before gesturing toward Persephone's battered and LIFELESS body. A wicked laugher began to echo throughout the throne room as the pink dust that had inhabited Morningstar's body expelled from her nose and mouth and disipated in the air. Aphrodite had succeeded in killing Persephone, and she WOULD succeed in killing Nicolas as well. -

- A 'ghost' like, translucent image of Aphrodite appeared behind Nicolas. No one would be able to see this image except Nicolas. -

"Nicolas..."

- Her beautiful voice echoed around him, entrancing him like she had done Morningstar and Guardian. Although Nicolas was a powerful telepath, much like Alison, he could not fight his emotions. His natural instincts and his carnal desires. Logic was not a factor now for Nicolas, he was one with Aphrodite's mind. One with her thoughts. Wrapping her arms around Nicolas' torso from behind, Aprhodite ran her hands up his chest as she whispered in his ear. -

"You mustn't let Alison push you away, Nicolas. You have decieved yourself....evaded your true emotions. You love her, Nicolas. Alison is the one you desire."

- Aphrodite looked to Alison, her sapphire eyes dark and seductive. With her mouth against Nicolas' ear, Aphrodite sent waves of love throughout Nicolas, all directed toward Alison. Hate was a powerful emotion, but nothing trumped love. People would die to prove their love for someone. Fight to the death to protect that person. No matter the person, the era, or the time line, love was a constant....and THAT was why Aphrodite was one of the deadliest Gods to date. -

"Go to Nicolas. Prove your love to her. Show her that you love her. FORCE your love upon her...."

- Letting go of Nicolas' body, Aphrodite smirked while folding her arms along her chest. A woman possessed to murder, and a man possessed to love her. It was the perfect, text book, set up. -

Athena was certainly resiliant. A lesser being would have fallen away with a face looking like it'd gone through a meat mincer. Athena grabbed Haleigh by the wrists and was still coherent enough to take to SLAMMING her about. As she crashed into the pillars, they half crumbled as though made of plaster, and Haleigh felt every last vertebre in her back pop as though she'd visited a chiropractor. She was slammed to the floor, and without her hands to break her fall, saw STARS when she hit face first and broke her nose!

The blood began to spill, nay, borderline pour.... but Haleigh recovered quickly. Athena brought her boot down on Haleigh's chest and then tried to KICK her while she was down. [SHAMEFUL! ;)] Haleigh smirked, through the blood and slight discomfort, as she CAUGHT Athena's foot.

"For a woman of high intelligence, things have to be SPELLED OUT an awful lot. We'd HAD this discussion. You seem stuck on the idea that by KILLING ME, you'll be RID of me. [sardonic laugh] I Will ALWAYS be coming BACK for More!"

She exclaims, as she holds Athena's foot and sweeps her remaining leg out from under her, FORCING her to the ground and immediately straddling her. She takes a generous fistful of the goddess' formerly perfect curls and with her other hand, takes hold of Athena's jawline.

"You have a fascination with owls, no? I always thought it was unique that they could swivel their heads around 180 degrees. SAY.... How would YOU like to DO THAT??"

She asks viciously, as she begins to FORCE Athena's head to turn farther than it SHOULD. She was as willing as Athena to amp up the brutality, and seemed blissfully ignorant of the fact that ELSEWHERE, things were going very badly.

<< Zeus had been forced to retreat! how satisfying. if he thought Spellbinder was just a "cheap copy" of Hecate, he had PAINFULLY learned the folly of his assumption but Morgan could hardly be satisfied for long as she watched Guardian attack Rampage with ruthless ambition and MorningStar turned on Persephone!>>

They're being entranced! but by WHOM!?

<< Morgan looked around FRANTICLY, if this was a MAGICKAL attack, her own "detection" power would register it but it wasnt and since Rampage was not having any luck with Alison, it couldnt have been purely psychic. HOW COULD SHE HELP! the only thing she could do would be to RESTRAIN Alison and Delilah before....>>

NO!!!

<< She turned her head as MorningStar annihilated Persephone and left the goddess to fall to the ground dead but not before MorningStar herself had been incapcitated by Persephone as well. This was BAD!>>

<< it was down to herself and Haleigh who was hard pressed to stand against Athena and Zeus could be coming back anytime now! Alison and Nicolas were tearing at each other...but for OPPOSITE reasons and as powerfull and durable as Nicolas was...if there was anyone that would not hesitate to breach his physical limits, it was Alison!>>

STOP IT! THE BOTH OF YOU!

<< Morgan swooped down and gestured, weaving a pattern of power as BOTH Alison and Nicolas were now BOUND in rings of mystic chains and pulled apart!>>

no matter how great your strength, you cannot escape MY bindings, Nicolas! and YOU , Alison...you're NOT yourself!

<< Morgan landed. the two had been FORCIBLY seperated and while Nicolas was checked, Alison could escape these bindings with her own magick soon. Morgan had to do something...>>

I'm sorry...Alison! But i cannot allow you to do the work of these wretched Olympians.

<< a NERVE PINCH was all that was needed to send Alison into unconsciousness. whatever the source of her posession, it would avail nothing if the host was effectively rendered unconscious and now, only Morgan and Haleigh remained. Morgan couldnt free her companions from Aphrodite's hold..but if Aphrodite was to appear...then she'd be DEAD. Morgan would see to that.>>

<< she placed them all in a pentagram of protection. as she evaluated the situation. Persephone- dead. Morningstar, Guardian- unoncious. Rampage- entranced but restrained by mystical chains.>>

I have to keep an eye out for Zeus. Haleigh will have to continue to face Athena alone. CLEARLY there someone else here....most likely Aphrodite. Hecate said she would proove to be as dangerous as Athena and she was RIGHT. I can't free them with my soul sword because they arent possesed by magick..and i have no psychic powers....

<< Morgan kept watch....with most of her team now within the saftey of the pentagram, Aphrodite would NOT be able to further vex them unless she appeared physically. she had to do SOMETHING! there were only TWO of them...and THREE gods/goddesses. Persephone was DEAD! they had FAILED but she'd be damned if the olympians got away with only ONE casualty in this battle [Hera]>>

WAIT!

<< Morgan realized what she could do. She could COMPELL Aphrodite to appeaer PHYSICALLY in this place with a SPELL, a SUMMONING SPELL designed to summon dieties and high powered entities! she remembered it well from the darkhold. it didnt matter of Aphrodite was there and cloaked or somewhere ELSE ....the spell would COMPELL her body to appear there in the flesh>>

<< Aphrodite's goose was as good as BROILED! :fdevil:>>

<< lifting her hands, a chime sounded off as she ignited magick>>

powers of the witches rise
course unseen across the skies
bring before me the goddess Aphrodite!
come to me as i call you near!
come to me and settle HERE!

<< a summoning spell, designed to call forth a powerfull otherwordly entity, Aphrodite would not be able to resist its pull...where ever she was and Morgan was now primed and ready to OBLITERATE her!>>

:: Guardian was lost in her desire to destroy Nicolas utterly. Not since her early days of trying to kill Haleigh and Cameron had she felt like this but even as she raced along this roller coaster of fury and a frenzied desire to kill him and save Morgan....deep inside herself, in a place that Aphrodite couldnt reach, she KNEW this was wrong! it was like being a passenger in your own dream..having no control and not believing what you were seeing!:
:

:: the dream becomes a NIGHTMARE as Nicolas attempts to FORCE HIMSELF upon Alison..he LOVES HER!? after what he's done to Morgan NOW he wants to LOVE HER!? all her attacks, all of her protests and all of her fighting seem to fall short of being on target. He's strong, he's directed and FOCUSED and he's UPON HER!::

:: Alison will DIE before she lets him force himself upon her and if she has to die to save anyone else from his evil then so be it!::

::this is all a dream...isnt it?!::

:: she feels like blacking out when Spellbinder FORCIBLY seperates them and binds them in mystical chains. Morgan is ALIVE!? how can this be?? Whether Aphodite knew it or not....possessing a PRECOG would only GO SO FAR FOR SO LONG and as Alison began to real from things that couldnt possibly true, she was disoriented enough to allow Morgan to remove her from the fight all together with a nerve pinch.::

:: a soft exhale of protest, and Alison falls into Morgan's arms, the comfort and clarity of SILENCE and UNCONSCIOUS has broken Aphrodite's hold over her but the damage and disorientation leaves her too weak to recover quickly. ::

On one level Nicolas fights with all of his might but to no avail. He is entranced and turns to Alison, his eyes filled with the baser side of love. he reaches out for her, taking damage as she rejects him, but continuing, mad for the sensation of her flesh upon him. He tears at her clothing a bit, kissing her neck as Morgan suddenly pulls him away. He roars in protest as this intrusion as he is bound in chains that he cannot budge!!

How dare you pull us apar...Morgan???!?!! Wha...??!?!

Nicolas thrashes as his feelings for Morgan give him a moment of clarity in which he tries to fight. That would prove to be extremely foolhardy. The strain of his telepathic attempt to reject Aphrodite is too much as blood begins to flow from his nose and mouth and his eyes roll back in his head. He is having the equivalent of a psychic stroke, with permanent ramifications.

MOOOOORRGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN!!!!

Anyone who is unprotected from telepathy will hear his deafening psychic scream as he falls to the floor in convulsions, then lies dangerously still.

- Pink sparkles of dust left Alison's body through her nose and mouth as she was rendered unconcious by Morgan. Disappearing from the throne room, Aphrodite had done her part in helping destory the six and Persephone. But suddenly, a strong pull to appear in the throne room in her TRUE FORM, was starting to take over her body. -

"Whats going on...NO!"

- Pink orbs circled around Aphrodite's body as she disappeared in a flash of white lights. Reappearing in the throne room, in her true form, Aphrodite's long white silk gown swayed along the dirt ground as she narrowed her eyes at Spellbinder. -

"An eye for an eye, Spellbinder....Persephone went too far by murdering Hades and leading Hecate to murder Hera! I overlooked Demeter's demise, but I will not watch her destory us all! I have no quarell with you, Sourceress, but I will defend myself if you choose to attack."

- Poised and elegent, Aphrodite was far from a physical battler. Spellbinder had a huge advantage over her. But she did have a few tricks up her sleeve if the sourceress would not back down. Aphrodite would not go down without a fight. -

<< Morgan's eyes widen as Nicolas buckles from extreme pain and backlash. her psi screened mind cant register the psychic fallout and with Delilah ALREADY unconscious and Persephone DEAD...that would leave only HALEIGH to feel it...which would force her to realize just how BAD things had gone for her team!>>

<< Morgan kept Nicolas from hitting the floor too hard as she craddled him and laid him down. he looked so distressed even now and Morgan herself was MORE than upset...with her team mates down all around her...and Persephone nearby...DEAD! as she held Nicolas, the cape of her unholy "inferno" costume spread out around her.>>

HELLS BELLS!

<< she screamed! her icy violet eyes just a tad misty from exasperation and ANGER...She dropped the ball AGAIN...at least in her mind! she covered her face, trying desperatly not to give in to the desire to cry. her spell worked! Aphrodite was FORCED to appear and Morgan cast her icy, hostile glare upon the goddess who dared to justify what she'd done.>>

NO ONE from this timeline will hold sway over me and my friends...least of all some glorified bimbo whose greatest talent is to lay on the ground naked.

It's EASY to present a "justified motive", you manipulative wench. You BETRAYED your supposed friend Persephone and prooved yourself NO BETTER than Zeus and the rest of Olympians.

Hecate murdered Hera because she was TIRED of being under the heel of you self absorbed, ungreatfull beings. she was your EQUAL and you treated her LIKE GARBAGE! You want to talk about who deserved WHAT? Hera got HER just desert and ZEUS deserves to share her fate! ALL of the problems of late have been caused by one of YOUR OWN!

<< thunder rumbled as Spellbinder stood up, her face enshrouded in shadow.>>

ZEUS, has shown that his bread and butter are the WOMEN on this mountain. as it is in nearly EVERY society, without a woman..a man is not nearly as grand as he seems and since he insists on hiding behind the goddesses around here.....and since YOU seem to be functioning under some misguided notion of "eye for an eye" i will be GLAD to see that you inherit the fate i have planned for ZEUS. Give my regards to DEMETER when you open your eyes again :fdevil:

<< a sparkling trail forms in her outstretched hand as the Soul Sword flashes into her grasp, the din from the silver mystic flames surrounding the sword can be heard as its haunting glow casts over Aphrodite.>>

<< a chime sounds off as Aphrodite is caught up in a stepping disc and TELEPORTED into morgan's grasp. As the disc opens up vertically at an angle Morgan snatches Aphrodite OUT by the neck, effortlessly hoisting her up HIGH in the air as she stabs the soul sword into Aphrodite's breast. Spellbinder's cape flows behind her as winds rise in the air.>>

do you know what a mastectomy is, Aphrodite?

<< Morgan's shadowed enshrouded face betrayed a psychotic grin of white gleaming, slightly fanged teeth as her eyes began to glow.>>

it's one of the most humiliating things a WOMAN can endure and for someone like YOU, whose body is the sorce of adoration and inspiration to men on earth at large...IMAGINE how they would REVILE you ..with a mutilated body?

<< twisting the sword, Morgan yanks it out , leaving a now mutilated and destroyed breast before she SLICES the godess across her throat, spining around and finishing off the deadly pass by slicing her across her abdomen and with each slice, the dark magick from the sword irradiates her body.>>

you wont have to worry! because you'll be DEAD shortly and ill make SURE that your body FEEDS whatever DEMONS live in this timeline!

<< and with that, Morgan raises her sword HIGH, intending to DECAPITATE the goddess.>>

Athena
04-06-2007, 05:51 PM
:: Athena and Black Widow continued to battle, destroying much of the area surrounding them. To Black Widow's credit, she, RIVALED the strength and resiliency of Athena's most noted champions such as Atlas and Diana of Themyscria! But this was not the time to give credit to a foe as she continued to provoke and taunt Athena with her irreverant ways and CONTINUED to try to boast superior strength and fighting ability!::

:: due to Persephone's diversion tactic as Athena was about to STOMP Black Widow, the hybrid managed to gain the opportunity to turn that attack back on Athena, flipping her and bringing her down to the floor and attempted to snap Athena's neck! Athena GRABBED her hands immediately and STOPPED her from being able to move as they struggled once more. It was a short lived play though for Persephone was now being killed at the hands of MorningStar while Guardian and Rampage were tearing at each other. it was the work of Aphrodite, a truly cunning and manipulative goddess who was content to let people underestimate her so long as SHE knew the power she possessed.::

:: Haleigh would undoubtedly register Persephone's VIOLENT death and at the hands of MorningStar no less coupled by the psychic backlash from Rampage's telepathic STROKE. Haleigh didnt have the benefit of a Psi Screen and while her mind was more resilient to psychic attacks than an average unprotected mind, she wasnt on Athena's level. the feed back would catch BOTH women's attention but Athena would feel far LESS pain than Haleigh. they BOTH had no choice but to survey the other raging battle. Persephone dead, MorningStar and Guardian knocked out, Rampage seizing from a telepathic stroke before falling, leaving only Spellbinder, who was clearly distressed. Even IF Spellbinder destroyed Aphrodite...she would be left ALONE to face Zeus and Athena!::

Persephone is DEAD!

:: a ray of golden light shined down on Black Widow::

Justice has been served and now...VENGEANCE will be MINE!

:: Athena disappeared from Haleigh's grasp all together, having transformed into a sparkling, swirling haze of golden orbs and now swirling ALL AROUND Black Widow.::

You COULD have survived had you been SMART and while you are a POWERFULL woman, you are not worthy of my favor. For choosing to defy us over Persephone, and for hurting my beloved Bupol and showing yourself to be the untamed SAVAGE that you are....yours as a FATE that is earned by ANY truly craven, cowardly wretch of a warrior!

:: Athena appears before Hecate and IMPALS her with a golden spear, lifting her up and embedding a spear into the ground so that Haleigh is now painfully perched up and her body has no choice but to slide down.::

your HEAD will serve as an OBJECT lesson to all the savages on EARTH who would attempt to defy ME! the goddess of WAR!

:: and with one fell swoop, Athena SLICES Haleigh's head clear off with the golden, sparkling sword composed of ENERGY! at that moment Athena lets out a triumphant cry! she looks very damaged...bruised and bloodied. her hair a mess, her gown ripped and dirty but once more she prooves that she is UNMATCHED.::

{ Circe continues to smile as she enjoys the heady feeling of seeing Persephone being destroyed! she lays across her double chaise lounge inside the throne room of her magnificent rotunda and as the storm waters of the black sea churn around the isle of aerie, Circe laughs softly. the images from her large, floating viewing orb tell her all she needs to know.}

it's INCREDIBLE!

{ she snaps her finger as one of her bestiamorphs attends her.}

to think that THEY thought they could defeat ME!!

{ the image of Persephone's dead body continues to take center stage on the orb.}

though they may have escaped ME, they found their ends at the hands of the gods/goddesses whom they foolishly thought they would be able to dupe.

{ looking out and around the immediate area she was in.}

it's almost too easy now isnt it?

{ slowly standing to her feet.}

With her last chance of salvation gone....I shall destroy Pandora and take posession of her box...and the whole WORLD will bow before my chaotic wrath. no power on EARTH will be able to stop me!

{ she waves her hand, the viewing orb now shows a distraught and saddened Pandora who is chained in a dungeon far below. this young woman, charged with guarding one of the most deadly objects in the history of Earth, now has NO one to stand between her and certain death at Circe's hands...even though Circe is truly MAD to think that even SHE will be able to control the power of the box unleashed.}

<< Pandora lies in a cell far below, and Dr. Victoria carefully guides the cloaked rescue team past bestiamorphs and through the sprawling, splendid levels of the massive rotunda. Circe's wicked laugh can be heard all around them and the place REEKS of evil and indulgence.>>

<< The Six has taken MUCH damage and even as Athena and Spellbinder add a point to each opposing side's tally card..the final, most HATED battle is about to begin. Aphrodite
04-07-2007, 12:00 AM
- Aphrodite grew angry as Spellbinder regarded her as nothing more than a slut who laid around naked all day. What the hell did these history books of hers write about the Gods?! This was ridiculous already, and Aphrodite was far beyond livid with this blonde trash. -

"ENOUGH! I stood by both Persephone AND Hecate when Zeus and Athena regarded them as traitors. I befriended Persephone when no one else dared to. I remained by her side when she MURDERED her mother; defending her even then! I tried to bring peace to Olympus before you even showed your gastly little face here. But she took it TOO far! She killed Hades, leading Hecate to loose her last shred of sanity and murder Hera! If I did not stop Persephone she would destory us all!"

- Spellbinder's blood lust was as strong as Hecate. Reasoning with her wouldn't go far, and Aphrodite realized this when she summoned a weapon far more powerful than anything she had seen before. Taking a step back, the blade flashed with vengeance. Waving her hand quickly, a pang of pain shot into Spellbinder's heart, increasing rapidly as each second passed. Her heart began to speed to unhealthy levels, pumping blood violently throughout her body creating overwhelming sensations of dizziness, fatigue, and heat. Spellbinder's milky skin flushed out to shades of pink, turning darker and darker until her pores began to BLEED. Blood seeped from her nose, eye sockets, ears, and other openings of her body more rapidly. -

"Athena!"

- Yelling for her friend, she knew she would not be able to handle Spellbinder alone. Aphrodite may have been strong, but she sure as hell wasn't at the level of Hecate or her counter part. But before Aphrodite could summon her friend for help, she slipped into a stepping disc, disappearing from where she stood. Moments later she appeared, virtically on top of Spellbinder, being pulled out by her throat. Grabbing Spells blood soaked wrists, she coughed out, digging her nails into Spellbinder's skin. -

"Let......g...o...."

- Eyes widdening, Aphrodite let out a gastly scream as the soul sword went plunging into her chest. Blood poured out of her mouth while Spellbinder began to fillet her; twisting the sword and cutting her breasts off. Her body was in shock so she barely felt the pain, but the humiliation was painful enough. Her battered and bloody body fell to the ground, barely alive or recognizable. With blood staining the whites of her eyes, Aphrodite looked up at Spellbinder, watching her stand proud with her sword held high. Swallowing hard, Aphrodite spoke her last words, CURSING Spellbinder with one of her infamous and most DEADLY love/anti love curses ever: the scorned love. -

"You......will...feel the pain.......of watching one....you....once loved....come back....and HURT YOU! ALL OF YOU!"

- The sword came plunging down, slicing through Aphrodite's neck, and cutting her head clear off. Aphrodite was dead....another God slained that shouldn't have been. But Aphrodite didn't leave without making sure Spellbinder would feel the same pain that she inflicted on her...on a more personal level. -

Pandora

back on earth- the six's timeline

"UUUUGH!"

Wrestling with the cold metal cuffs that bound her wrists, Pandora thrashed violently in a desperate attempt to free herself from the chains. Her wrists were bruised and raw; bleeding down her arm and hands. Pandora wasn't a superhuman or a mutant. She was no god or hybrid. She was an immortal woman, created by the gods themselves, to protect a box that held the worlds doom. Her odds to escape Circe without aid were minimal.

"DAMNIT, CIRCE! YOU VENOMOUS SNAKE!"

Pandora bellowed in anger and frustration. Circe had NO idea what she was about to embark on. The contense of the box could not simply be controlled. They would feed on Circe's greed then consume her and everything else in this world. Slumping onto the dingy stone ground of Circe's underground dungon, Pandora needed to think quickly. She may not of had super powers, but she was savvy as hell. She was quick, intellegent, and smart. Trained by Minerva in different forms of martial arts and weaponry. Unfortunately her training was of no help when Circe captured her......Sighing out, she couldn't dwell on the what ifs and past mistakes, she needed to focus on the task at hand.

"Okay, focus....Circe...Circe....She's cocky, overly confident...has a major superiority complex. She probably thinks something as simple as chains can hold me. There has to be something here that she's overlooked...something here that I'VE overlooked."

Standing, Pandora grabbed the chains with both her hands, tugging them firmly. Looking at the brick wall that anchored the chain, Pandora pulled them again noticing bits of dirt fall from the one hole holding the chain. Pulling once more, Pandora began to move the chain in a circular pattern, breaking away more of the old, moldy stone.

"Come on.."

Letting the chain go, she used her fingers and began to dig between the slabs of stone and dirt, the sharp edges of the broken rock cutting the pads of her fingers. Without wavering, Pandora pulled one more, tugging more of the chain out of the wall, which loosened a bit more of the rock. All the struggling from before actually paid off...she was so close. Continuing to pull bits of rock away from the chain, Pandora took the chain within her hand once more, wrapping it once for a more secure hold. Closing her eyes, she began to breathe deeply, clearing her mind of everything. With meditation techniques she had learned over the years, she began to invision the chain and only the chain. Her objective, pulling it from the wall. She focused her mind on giving her strength to pull the chain from the wall. Inhaling once more, Pandora fiercely pulled back, YANKING the chain from it's stone hold, breaking her right arm free. A smile of relief appeared as she looked down at her free arm. Finally, a step forward!

"You should of bound me in mystical chains, you gutter rat."

Turning her attention to the left chain, Pandora kept a sharp ear out, periodically checking the door located up a flight stairs, to see if Circe or one of her bestimorphs was coming. Atleast with one arm free, she could fight with the chain that was bound to her wrist. But hopefully she would free her other hand before that scenerio played out. Bound and determined, Pandora was SO close after DAYS of no water, food, and constant torture. She was not about to give up now.

<< as Pandora struggled to free herself, the young woman's resourcefullness and resolve paid off but as she continued, she failed to notice a golden glow underneath the crack between the bottom of the door and the floor. soon, with a rushing harp sound, the door opens slowly and quitely and Dr. Victoria is standing there in her regal black flying suit, while Alycia Barnett stands by herself in a flattering black cat suit outfit which functions as state of the art contouring "body armour". the two women look upon Pandora who is largely regarded as a mythological character but here in the flesh, her youthfull beauty is quite a sight to behold.>>

Pandora

Pandora was at her wits end as she struggled with the last chain. This one was stubborn and would not come out of the wall. Growling out in aggravation, she just wanted to scream to release the tension that had built in her body. Continuing to pull the chain with all her might, she didn't notice the glowing gold lights that shined along the cracks of the dungeon doors.

It had been well over 200 years since she last placed her box in a private location. Many tried to find it, but all failed. She was resourceful and quite good at what she did. Hell, she was created for the sheer purpose to protect her box. Years of different aliases to protect herself from forces beyond any normal mortals. Years of traveling the world and basically living like a gypsy. Training of the mind, body, and spirit, and she STILL got caught. You'd figure when the gods were whipping her up they could of given her SOME damn powers. This was ridiculous already. Lost in her own thoughts of anger and determination, Pandora gasped, quickly turning toward Karen Victoria. In a reflexive move, she whipped the chain that was still connected to her wrist by a cuff, striking the woman.

"Who are you..."

Hearing that Karen was there to help her, Pandora was hesitant to believe her. But something about her ora calmed Pandora. She had a kind face...unlike Circe's vicious manipulations she had endured. Looking to her wrists as Karen magically released the cuffs from her, she shifted her eyes to the woman once more.

"You're a witch....How do you know who I am? Where I have been?"

Standing with the assistance of Karen, Pandora gently rubbed her raw skin around her wrists, wincing slightly in pain. Pandora's ebony eyes instantly lit up hearing Minerva's name. Smiling, she knew Barbara would send help for her....even if it was the last thing she ever did. Circe had already gloated about destorying Barbara in a huge battle at her estate. During her time in the dungeon, she had already grieved for the woman she considered to be like a surroget mother to her. But it made Pandora so happy to know that Minerva was still coming through for her, even now. Nodding her head as Karen spoke and gave her the 411 of what would be happening, she placed her hand on Karen's, stopping her before she moved to her position.

"Thank you, madam. Both of you. You don't know me, yet you are still here risking your lives to help me....And I apologize for striking you earlier. It's been a very rough few days, to say the least."

Pandora was a very kind woman. She wasn't stubborn or bull headed. She took help when she needed it, and appriciated anyone who offered. It was apparent that even though the gods created her, she was NOTHING like them. Taking her position between Alycia and Karen, although Pandora was the one who was being rescued, she wouldn't allow them to fight Circe alone. Gesturing to the two semi automatic guns holstered to Alycia's leg, Pandora insisted on helping.

"Ms. Barnett, I've been trained for years in weaponry. I can be of help."

:: Alycia stood tall. her toned, feminine body was definately flattered by the body contouring "armour" that she wore. looking more like a seductive S.H.I.E.L.D agent than a stylish district attourney, Alycia stood watch over the entrance as Karen attempted to liberate the beautifull young Pandora. Alycia couldnt help but cast her eye over the woman, her beauty was striking...a testimony to the detail the goddesses paid to their creations. Pandora was one of MANY objects/persons that prooved to Alycia that the world was MORE than what was readily known to modern man. here was a woman who had been referenced as both mythology and sometimes a precautionary addage...she was REAL!::

:: but despite that, Alycia didnt get starry eyed or beside herself. she'd seen too much as an ally f the six and knew how to handle herself. as Pandora understandly offered some reservation and resistance, Dr. Victoria worked her motherly charm and assured Pandora they were here to help and would do what they could. as they began their anxious escape, Pandora nodded to the small fire arms in the hosters around Alycia's high heeled boots. Alycia looked at her for a momente before looking down. stopping for a second she unfastened the two desert eagles and handed them to Pandora.::

From what i've read on Barbara, the woman was a maverick with hand guns and other weaponry. if you were her ward then you MUST know how to use these.

:: Alycia's tone was cold, but there was a hint of humour in it as she winked. she had a tough, no nonsense demeanor about her but she wanted to help Pandora alleviate any nervousness she might have...despite the odds they were about to face::

:: as Karen lead the way Alycia brought up the rare.::

My men are out on the grounds around the rotunda at various points. I've also radioed some naval assistance from any navy ships near by and they said they will gladly help out. All we have to do is get out of here and up to the surface...by then the firepower that my men brought will be enough to hammer back the bestiamorphs.

:: Alycia didnt comment on Circe. she knew this woman was WAY out of her league but she certainly WOULDNT cower before her either. she'd rather be incinerated into ashes while resisting than to hide like a spineless coward WAITING to be rescued.::

Mt Olympus

<< the battle between the gods/goddesses and the six reached a violent BLOODY climax. Black Widow and Persephone are dead. MorningStar, Guardian and Rampage are incapacitated and Spellbinder, who has just helped EVEN the score card between the warring teams with her killing of Aphrodite is now buckling under a state of SHOCK. her friends and loved ones either dead or hurt...and she herself having just received a haunting curse from Aphrodite coupled with the reality of this situation....and KNOWING what is waiting for her on her own timeline's earth if she returns now....its all more than even she can bear. She needs help...and FAST for while she is plenty powerfull, she still has Athena and Zeus to deal with.>>

<< of them all, MorningStar is perhaps the least injured and in the safetfy of the pentagram of protection, she will have time to stir back to consciousness..and not a moment too soon.>>

------------------------------------------

Isle of Aerie, The Six's EARTH

<< Dr. Victoria and federal agent Alycia Barnett have facilitated the rescue and withdrawl of Pandora from Circe's clutches. the three women quitely and carefully move through the winding tunnels of the dungeons, carefull not to draw any attention to themselves. It is an uneasy alliance between them as Pandora has been through ALOT and is still a bit hesitant, but she trusts Karen and has just been armed by Alycia.>>

<< the three women make their way along a curving corridor with torches that further light their path. the dungeon is dank and there are many cells with the bones of prisoners long dead at the hands of circe's bestiamorphs.>>

<< things go well enough but just as the women might dare to breath a little easy, they round a corner only to be DISCOVERED by Circe's RAVEN, who more than does his job of sounding the alarm, flying away to summon reinforcements. the time for stealth is over...its now time for a FAST and SPEEDY ESCAPE TO THE SURFACE!>>>

<< with Circe poised to destroy all of creation and all these things happening on both sides of the coin...it makes one wonder just what is instore for Earth? we have no choice but to watch>>

Zeus

Zeus' body was cloaked in a shaded corner, watching the battle presist without him. His body needed time to heal after Spellbinder's attack. He had yet to encounter a woman with such strength...It annoyed him. Smiling with delight, he could always count on Aphrodite to come through at the last minute and help her fellow Olympians. She possessed the little blonde sprite and forced her to attack Persephone! Oh this was devine! His eyes began to glow blue in anticipation as he watched Morningstar KILL Persephone in cold blood! Her own teammate! Justice was finally served and that harpy was DEAD! Aphrodite would recieve a wonderful gift for her efforts once he took care of Spellbinder.

"Well done, Aphrodite. Well done."

His body was almost done regenerating, giving him enough time to see Athena murder another one of Persephone's allies! The tables had turned, and finally victory would be his. Spellbinder was outmatched, three to one. Her teammates were either dead or incompasitated. He would take great pleasure in--

"NO!"

Yelling out in horror, Zeus watched as Spellbinder summoned Aphrodite and STAB her! Stepping out from the shadows, his body was at peek performance, but not soon enough. Spellbinder not only murdered Aphrodite, she humiliated the woman by disecting her body and decapitating her. She was a friend of Persephone's all right. She was just as ruthless and disturbing. Spellbinder collapsed to the ground in shock and anguish. Zeus felt no sympathy for her. His sister was dead. His brother was dead. His wife and his closest friend! SPELLBINDER WOULD PAY!

"Your tears will turn RED and STAIN my skin before i'm done with you, WOMAN! You WILL NOT LEAVE HERE ALIVE!"

Metallic silver chest plate, head armor, forearm and shin cuffs appeared in a flash of lightning, all inscribe with the lightning bolt symbol. With a huge sword of his own, composed of pure energy, Zeus bellowed out in a rage of fury, running toward the kneeling Spellbinder in lightning speeds, before LEAPING in the air toward her. Swinging his energy blade down at her, his ENTIRE BODY, turning into nothing by energy, literally CRASHING upon Spellbinder and envading her. Electricity and photon energy pulsed throughout her body in massive watts, burning her from the inside out.

MorningStar

[ MorningStar's eyes fluttered open. Hazy, blurred vision. She blinked several times, only succeeding in clearing her vision enough to see the cold stone floor she was laying on. She moved slowly, and her body ached as if it had been hit by a mack truck. She blinked a few more times and her vision righted itself. She cast her eyes around her, settling on Zeus who was now in full battle armor and making his way right towards Spellbinder, who knelt by her.

She opened her mouth in warning, but no words came out. She was so dry, it felt as if her mouth was filled with dust. Zeus was flooding Spellbinder's body with photon energy, Delilah could recognize it as if it was a part of herself. A part of herself...

Still groggy, she reached her arms out to Morgan, placing both palms flat on her friend's back. She felt the photon energy begin to pump into her body as she absorbed it. It flowed from her fingertips through every nerve ending, every limb, rejuvenating her as if she had drank a truck load of Red Bull. She siphoned off all of Zeus' energy that she could until it felt as if she was full. Full of power.

She stood, feeling her body begin to glow once again. ]

"Flame on."

Athena took hold of Haleigh by the wrists, stopping her from breaking the woman's neck and putting a halt to the action. Haleigh fought Athena's control, to the point she was trembling with effort, as the two fought for dominance. This moment, as the quiet fell between the two, the battle between the OTHERS registered, and Haleigh felt a pang of pain in the center of her heart.... it was a bizarre thing, but it occured immediately to Haleigh what it meant. She looked up, and sure enough, Persephone fell DEAD at Morningstar's hand. Haleigh stopped struggling against Athena and showed almost no realization that the woman had disappeared from beneath her.

"Persephone.... Ava.... no......"

She said quietly, as she stared at the sight of the other battle. She hardly paid attention to Athena or what she was saying. A second blow came from Rampage, whose mental anguish was broadcast to everything with a brain. Haleigh's mind wasn't entirely unprotected, but unlike those with psi screens, she was somewhat vulnerable, and she instinctively covered her ears with her hands as if subject to a painfully loud noise. It stopped as suddenly as it started, and Haleigh began to move forward to go to her fallen sister-- RIGHT into Athena's spear. The shock of being impaled pulled her back to HER battle with Athena, but the pain seemed to fall away, even as Athena stuck the spear to the ground, pinning Haleigh there, whose body slowly slid down to the marble floor. Haleigh stared up at Athena, as the fact that her own end was near became very apparent. THIS death was different in that she had time to realize what was about to happen, where as with Spellbinder death had come too fast to even react.... but Haleigh showed no signs of regret, instead, only a heartfelt pain for those already lost.

"I COULD have survived, Athena, yes.... by BETRAYING the ones I love.... you may not understand this-- in fact, I suspect you don't, as you tried to ALSO get Rampage to shed Persephone like dead weight.... but I would rather DIE than abandon the ONE PERSON I promised I would ALWAYS protect, NO MATTER WHAT.... but my sister is gone.... my team has fallen... I can only take comfort in knowing that YOU, too, will come to an end. Too bad I won't be there to watch 'em knock you down."

Athena raised her sword, and Haleigh looked up at the goddess. It was kind of surreal.... Haleigh gave a sardonic laugh... her last contribution, defiant to the end. She had done her part to the best of her ability.... and kept the goddess of war suitably distracted long enough for her teammates to do harm to Zeus and terminate Aphrodite.... but now it was left to Morgan and a waking Delilah.

<< Spellbinder began to weep. It was probably the WORST time to fall apart, but everything was happening SO FAST and SHE didnt have the power to stop it! Persephone and Haleigh were dead! Rampage was probably close to death after having a massive telepathic stroke and Delilah was passed out. she was ALL ALONE! any other time this probably wouldnt have mattered but she was now facing TWO of the most powerfull on Mt. Olympus. ONE ON ONE she knew she could make a go of it and she had enough of an array of spells to hold them both back but for how long!? a third of her team DEAD , another third incapacitated!>>

DAMMIT!

<< she shrieked as she tried to get ahold of her self. her hands still covering her face. She was so distressed that the fact that Zeus had reappeared and was now bellowing didnt register any WORSE than anything else that she'd seen/heard so far.>>

<< the self titled "king of the gods" came for her, true to form he was all about making noise and much display. he manifested his own form of armour, looking more like an over grown metallic monstrosity with gray hair and a steroid enhanced body than the god painted by mythology and manifested a sword of LIGHTNING.>>

<< even as the din of the assault came close and closer....Morgan was still grappling...trying NOT to fall into deep shock. the glow and the heat from the massive energy finally causes her to look up, in a rather detached stare before she finally realizes that it's Zeus himself trying to destroy her! >>

<< she felt her body seizing with shock and pain as the energy invaded her. she gritted her teeth as she tried not to scream. she had to do SOMETHING...a spell, a stepping disc...SOMETHING!>>

<< but even as she began to buckle and felt like her body would explode, she felt HANDS on her back. MorningStar was AWAKE and using her power over energy to siphon/DRAIN the power of Zeus' attack from her body! and since HE himself had t urned into energy, MorningStar was siphoning HIS essence as well!>>

...goddess!!! Delilah!!! you're ALIVE!

<< Delilah's attack would have PULLED the force and execess of Zeus' attack from him and into HER, leaving Zeus rather drained as Spellbinder exhaled with relief at both being saved from a sudden ambush and the fact that Delilah was alive and well!!>>

<< she looked at Zeus!>>

GET AWAY FROM ME!

<< as she stood up, she swung her fist, which was encased in a halo of dark magick viciously uppercutting Zeus dead center in his jaw with a punch that would put a man into ORBIT as she used the FULL FORCE of her super strength. She attended to make SURE she reduced Zeus' lower jaw line to POWDER with that punch>>

I'm GLAD YOUR SISTERS AND BROTHER ARE DEAD! IT'S NO LESS THAN THEY DESERVE!

<< her face once again enshrouded in shadow as her eyes glowed solid white she rose into the air.>>

and before you even ATTEMPT to hurt anyone else...i'll see YOU DEAD! OLD MAN!

<< diving into a vertical stepping disc, she teleports in the twinkling of an eye to MEET Zeus at his new air born point and as she emerges from the disc, she looks more demonic.>>

you've NO IDEA what women IN MY TIME can do, old man but you're about to FIND OUT!

<< she clasps both fists together and swings across with such force and might as she slams her clasped fists across Zeus' jaw again with the full force of her power, intending to smash his jaw and the entire left side of his face while sending him hurtling back down toward MorningStar and giving HER the perfect AIM to blast him point blank!>>

:: a sparkling, golden disc slices through the air and frightening speed.::

and I will show YOU what women in THIS time can do, witch!

:: the disc, hurled by Athena , who possessed PERFECT aim SLAPPED Spellbinder in the back of the head so hard. It is intended to K.O. the witch but at the very least, dizzy Spellbinder enough so that she will began to fall out of the air.::

did you think that I had been overwhelmed by that braggart, Black Widow?

:: kicking Haleigh's severed head forward::

THINK AGAIN!

:: the goddess, who proudly wore the bruises and scars from her battle with Haleigh, was once again wearing her golden helmet along with her golden energy sword and shield. She intended to deal with Morgan first, who was clearly out to see Zeus destroyed and THEN she would come for Delilah. if the fall didnt kill Morgan, Athena certainly would.::

I have taken you at your measure...and found you WANTING!

[ MorningStar watched Morgan rage with demonic ferocity at Zeus. She knew that her friend would never let a MAN take such advantage of her and not return it to him tenfold. She watched Spellbinder - impressive and terrible yet darkly beautiful as she raised into the air. She went pound for pound with Zeus, beating him down like a dog. She stayed on the sidelines, unnoticed, while Morgan did her thing. Which gave her an idea.

She watched Morgan deliver a crushing blow to Zeus's jaw, sending him backwards towards her. The timing was perfect. Using her powers over light, she manipulated the rays as they reached her - much as she did when she created holograms in the air - changing her appearance. She knelt where Zeus had fallen. But when he looked upon her, he would not see his adversary, but instead gazing down at him would be the face of his adoring wife. Delilah now appeared to be Hera herself kneeling over Zeus!

She made shushing noises as she ran her hands lightly over Zeus' breastplate. She touched one hand comfortingly to his face, while the other found its way under his armor to touch unprotected skin.

She then let forth all her destructive power directly into Zeus. ]

<< Spellbinder cries out as she is struck by the flying disc that slams into the back of her head. she lurches forward and falls out of the stepping disc.>>

head rings.....hurts....so dizzy.....can't get my...bearings!

<< she wanted to close her eyes and sleep. the PAIN!! she continued to fall, unable to think clearly or MOVE! everything was spinning around her. She's not able to see MorningStar giving Zeus his just reward....or that Athena is responsible for bushwacking her.>>

SHARDS!

:: Athena points her sword as it sparkles and glows. the falling witch keeps from splattering on the floor, but she is too stunned and disoriented to climb UP while flying and flies RIGHT into Athena's line of fire! the sword transform into a golden lasson as Athena ensnares Morgan and firmly captures her::

:: in a voice befitting an indignant goddess, Athena declares as a gong tolls::

PREPARE YOUR SOUL FOR CLEANSING!

:: the goddess swings wide, forcing Morgan to travel in a large circle, ADDING to her dizzy disorientation before slamming her down to the ground. At Athena's command, golden energy manifesets, charing toward spellbinder in the form of an army of golden horses ridden by amazons who trumpet their arrival with horns and sounds of battle!::

:: the charging army of horses posseses all the power and DEADLY IMPACT of a real army of amazons and their war steeds and they would TRAMPLE Morgan to death if she doesnt recover in time to avoid them::

:: Athena cast a glance to the fallen members of the Six protected within the Pentagram. if only she could STRIKE at Rampage! but she knew that even SHE could not over come the charms of Hecate's magick which is what Morgan herself channeled. still, to kill MORGAN would be a deadly blow in favor of the olympians. ::

Zeus

Zeus could feel his energy leaving Spellbinder's body and being sucked into something else. Someone else! His power level began to drain while Morningstars elevated. Being thrown out of Morningstar's body, Zeus was weakened, but still kicking. Pushing himself from the ground, Spellbinder used his moment of weakness to attack, punching his jaw upward, nearly shattering it. Stumbling back dazed, she hit him once again, completely shattering his jaw this time. Zeus was built like a bull, but Spellbinder's massive hit, combind with his body energy being drained by Morningstar, he was definitely not at his best.

Flying back, Zeus slammed into the jagged stone floor, before tumbling to a stop. Laying on his back, he rolled his head from side to side, groaning out in pain. Opening his eyes, what he saw nearly stunned him. Hera! She was alive. Feeling her hand on his cheek, Zeus wanted to call out to her, to speak with her again, but he couldn't. His jaw was completely destoryed.

"Hera...my love. I saw you die at the hands of Hecate."

Using his mental link between himself and his wife, he began to telepathically 'speak' with her. But she did not respond....Putting his hand on hers, he tightly squeezed it.

"Hera?"

Again, she did not answer. It was a trick! That other blonde woman! She must be manipulating her body or his mind. Regardless, she would not get away with it. Pulling 'Hera's' hand away from his cheek, Zeus bent her hand back, snapping the bones with ease. Even in his weakened state, his strength was still phenomenal. Rolling away from the image of Hera, Zeus slipped his fingers under a broken slab of stone, lifting it into a throw, sending it hurling it toward Morningstar. Extending his hand out as the stone slab was in the air, cuffs of energy bound around Morningstar's ankles and wrists, preventing her from moving. Even though she seemed to manipulate energy or forms of energy, Zeus was banking on the fact that it would take her time to absorb the cuffs into her own body, allowing the stone slab to crush her.

As events unfolded further around him, Nicolas lay in the pentagram of protection. In the fighting, it may have been hard to notice that his body was healing. His color became more healthy and he seemed to revitalize as he lay there. However, his eyes were still rolled back in his head, his mouth agape as his mind feverishly tried to cope with what had occured. It had begun the process of reviving and refreshing him, but it was anyone's guess as to how long that process would take.

It appeared for now that he would survive, but it remained to be seen how Rampage would emerge from such a traumatic event...

Hecate
04-10-2007, 09:14 PM
[ Hecate groaned as her eyes began to flutter and she opened them. the place reeked of violence and death. blood was on the floor , destruction all around, and as she turned her head over, she saw the body of Persephone]

[her voice was still weak as she began to feel the aching pain in her body.]

Persephone!!

[she coughed as she struggled...she saw Rampage, the Harbinger...but they were alive. across the way, Black Widow was decapitated and Aphrodite had been brutally mutilated by Spellbinder]

[Hecate despised the Olympians, but THIS...this was not what was supposed to happen!]

shadows galore....this is ...monstrous

[ Hecate's head ACHED. Zeus definately packed a wallop when he needed to but she was back to consciousness now and not a moment too soon. from the look of things...the red moon had gone off with a bloody bang. casualties from BOTH sides and Spellbinder and MorningStar were the only ones left while Athena and Zeus were left from the olympians. both sides looked worse for the wear.]

[ she struggled to get to her feet. Spellbinder was down and about to be TRAMPLED TO DEATH by an army of golden energy horses ridden by amazons while MorningStar had just been injured by Zeus! the team had failed to save Persephone and now the last two standing were about to fall! NO , it couldnt end like this..it wasnt supposed to!]

[ the horses were about to crush a badly stunned Spellbinder and MorningStar's wrist had been shattered and Zeus was about to attack her. This was enough. Hecate would not see them destroyed by these Olympians even though the Six had managed to force the Olympians to sustain heavily damage and loss as well....]

NO! STOP IT!

<< Hecate screamed as she finally stood up right and thrust her hands out ala' Piper Halliwell and STOPPED TIME and SPACE all around the battle, subjecting Athena, Zeus and their attacks to temporal stasis along with MorningStar. Morgan, a witch, would be immune to this attack just like in their own modern time where witches didnt freeze. With an odd sound that echoes throughout the halls of the mountain, EVERYTHING stops. No sound, no movement and in an odd sort of way, it clears away the chaos with peacefull silence. the amazons and horses of golden sparkling hue are frozen; Athena Zeus and MorningStar are also now still.]

[ Hecate herself breathes out slowly as she looks around, and sees a stunned Morgan, slowly raising up and rubbing her head. Hecate moves over to her.]

You have quite a nasty bump on your head.

[ helping up the sorceress, Hecate looks rather sad and regretfull as she surveys the area.]

this is not what was supposed to happen..

[ Hecate knew that by doing what she was about to do, the damage to BOTH sides would be undone...but the MEMORIES would REMAIN...a haunting reminder of the dangers of contaminating a timeline as well as painfull lessons for each of the Six. Hecate would NOT be able to take away the curse rendered upon Morgan by Aphrodite and none of the Six would soon forget the pain that they suffered in this battle. Persephone would perhaps learn the greatest and most needed lesson of all through all this.]

Time MUST be reset...in order to ensure that things happen the way history details them...in order to ensure that we all meet our destiny in the way it was meant to be.

[ knowing that she would not be able to enjoy murdering Hera]

go to your friends. I will do what must be done.

[ a soft melody of chimes plays in the still air as Hecate slowly raises her hands to the open night sky, the red moon still glaring and hanging low, a testament to the rage and bitterness that still festered in Hecate's soul]

Winds of time, gather round
Let these before me enter a passage way
To the recent past, events still fresh
Let today become yesterday!

[ the haunting toll of a cosmic clock floods the air as time begins to reset itself. the stars themselves turn counter clockwise and the events of the battle began to blur as things turn back and reset themselves...even the sounds move in reverse and like a conductor of a symphony, Hecate directs it all in one final wave as a the cosmic clock strikes 12 and in a flash of light, everything resets. all death and injury is undone, structural damage as well...its an errie sight to behold.]
