<< the bloody red moon was WASHED AWAY by the marvelous WHITE LIGHT. a soft, gentle CALMING light that gave way to a fresh dewy dawn on what was now an endless spread of untouched, naturally beautifull greek countryside. there was a large greek gazeebo in the distance.>>

<< the six found themselves laying on open grass in the area where Barbara Minerva's mansion would have stood but there was no blood, no destruction, no reminders of what terror she has visited upon them. but there was something ELSE missing too...BARBARA.>>

<< Persephone and Delilah were the first to come around, followed by Rampage. everyone felt a little stiff and ragged after what they'd been through. they should have died.>>

<< as Rampage checked on Morgan and Alison, Persephone became frantic as she called out for Barbara.>>

<< they had to realize it, but they were 1000's of years in the past. in what would eventually be called "the age of antiquity", the age of the gods and goddesses themselves.>>

<< it had felt like her heart was in the grip of a vise. her body was seizing with pain as her own power, her very essence was being controlled and RIPPED through her body and she was just a helpless spectator to it. she was unaware of Alison's attempt to save her...and as Circe appeared, it was almost like Morgan was GIVING BIRTH as she released herself and her magick. is THIS what it was like to truly DIE?>>

<< suddenly there was silence, a feeling of peace and calm and RELIEF from PAIN washed over her and she was ASLEEP. but she was NAKED as well. her costume, had already been torn and in the final deadly pass from Circe...they were ALL consumed by a firery inferno.>>

<< now, Morgan lay out in the open, unaware of her current state. there was no pain, there was no sense of loss of control.>>

<< she soon felt herself being gently shook. her misty, icy violet eyes fluttered as she slowly opened them to find Rampage looking down on her with the fresh dawning sun behind him. was this HEAVEN?>>

hmmmm?

<< she was a little groggy. her body felt stiff and she didnt have the most strength to herself right now. but soon she heard the voices of Persephone and Delilah. they were here too. and as the fresh morning air washed over her, she realized she could FEEL. she was still alive.>>

........

<< she looked up.>>

i dont hurt..anymore.

<<she looked over to the others....>>

is Circe gone?? Alison? Barbara?

:: Guardian lay on her side, motionless. Much like the night she faced Blackout to save the city. her skin tight, leather costume was tattered and torn in many areas to expose the flesh of her tight, toned body. her blue/black hair fallen over her face, it was impossible to determin if she was still blind.::

:: she lay near Morgan and as Nicolas checked on them, she was not responsive at first. but once Nicolas turned her over to let her face the sky and brushed her hair away, she began to cough...squinting her eyes tightly with the disorientation of returning to consciousness.::

Nicolas?? Morgan....

:: she spoke with a hoarse, weak tone::

oh....

:: she heard Persephone and MorningStar. Barbara was missing.::

Barbara....she....she didnt make it!

:: Alison apparently possessed the full capacity of her powers as a seer. a tear fell down from her eye as she softly spoke of Barbara.::

she didnt make it.....

:: Alison looked so sad.::

[ Delilah managed to work her way onto her side and sit up on her elbow. She looked around almost sleepily. She saw that everyone was accounted for. Everyone except...

Where was Barbara? She must have been blown somewhere further off than they had. She turned her head and looked around. ]

"Barbara? Barbara!"

[ If she was still injured, she might not be able to answer them. ]

"We're coming to get you Barbara!"

[ She called, and started to get up. A wave of dizzyness stopped her as a sharp pain pierced her skull. A hand flew to her head. Perhaps something had hit her during the explosion...

Waiting for the stars to pass, she heard Alison somberly declare Barbara gone. ]

"But Alison, are you sure? Maybe she's just-"

[ But the look on Guardian's face told her it was true. She hung her head in a moment of sadness. An amazing woman, even if they had only known her but a brief time.

Regaining her composure, she moved to Morgan. With a wave of her hand she covered Spellbinder's nakedness with some temporary holographic clothing. She turned to the group at large. ]

"Excuse my French, but what the fuck just happened?"

:: Still kneeling by Alison, Persephone looked over to Nicolas who had just awakened. Morgan soon followed. Both looked completely fine. Looking down at Alison, she began to stir as well until finally waking up. But hearing Alison state Barbara didn't make it completely ripped into the goddess. Her eyes showed nothing but disbelief and pain. Her one tie to her old life, to the people she considered her family, gone. Ripped away AGAIN, and she couldn't do a damn thing to prevent it. Subconsciously shaking her head no, Persephone looked away from Alison and to the horizon. The morning sun hitting the goddess’ face; glistening off the freshly dropped tears from her eyes. Although the others would be naturally upset, Persephone was hit the hardest by Minerva’s death. She was a friend. An ally during her time in the Masters of Evil. ::

:: Painfully pushing herself up off the ground, Persephone slowly walked away from the others. She hardly ever let anyone see her grieve, regardless if they knew that was exactly what she was doing. Keeping her back turned away from the group, Persephone spotted the gazebo afar, but didn’t think anything of it. Closing her eyes, she simply stood there, trying to collect her thoughts. ::

"I'm sorry, Barbara.."

<< Spellbinder sat up....looking wearily up at Delilah as her friend kindly covered her with a holographic set of clothing.>>

<< she felt so mentally and physically SPENT but her memory was in tact.>>

its ...its my fault. Barbara's dead..because of me.

<< Morgan looked down, drawing her legs up so that her chin rested on her knees as she wrapped her arms down around her calves.>>

Circe USED me...as if i was nothing more than a super powered talisman to her. she violated me...and added my power to her own to make her attempt to destroy us all but guaranteed. I was fighting her...as HARD as i could..and if it hadnt been for Alison...we'd ALL be dead.

<< she began to shed tears.>>

I'm no good. My tally card keeps going higher and higher....Sharon Kelly and now Barbara Minerva!

<< she brought her hands up to her face.>>

i dont deserve to be here. I dont want my magicks anymore. WHAT GOOD IS IT if someone can just come along and USE ME to their own wicked end and i can do NOTHING to stop them!?

<< she cried out as the breeze flowed over her. she knew Persephone was deeply hurt about Barbara's death..and she was RACKED with guilt.>>

Persephone....I'm a second rate sorceress...a danger to ALL those around me.

<< Morgan contemplated retreating to Limbo...FOREVER.>>

Nicolas listened as Morgan poured herself out over the loss of Barbara. She was torn apart from the guilt of the situation. Nicolas tore his pants at the mid-thigh on each leg and fashioned a costume of sorts, a bodice for the top and a short skirt for the bottom and had it cover Morgan as he held her.

"NO. This is not your fault. You did the best you could, all of you did. If anything, my stupid red-moon-infested tirade at Persephone delayed us precious seconds when we should have already confronted Circe. Seph only wanted what was best, to help her friend and I allowed my mind to become corrupted, taking a small concern and blowing it out of proportion. Morgan, you were focused and gave your all. I was forced to flee so that Circe wouldn't take me over!!! You were brave, and strong, and you tried your very best. Something was at work in this situation that you couldn't control. Now we need you wherever we are now. All of us. Leaving will solve nothing."

Morgan projected the thought of leaving so strongly that Nicolas heard it like a beacon. He was determined that she would stay, holding her tightly.

Haleigh lay sprawled out on her back, smoke wafting from her body, as her systems slowly came back online.... and memories of what just went down flashed in her consciousness. Running.... earthquake... debris.... buried.... pinned.... pain... silence. Great. I've gone and died again. Oh, they'll be pissed. Bitching about having to find me another body.... maybe I can come back as a brunette this time. She opens her eyes, which dilate quickly then adjust, as she rolls slowly to her side so she can sit up gently.

Delilah:"Excuse my french, but what the fuck just happened?"

Haleigh turned around, to see the rest of the team already awake... and Barbara Minerva gone. As others grieved, Haleigh went proactive to avoid dealing with all the tumultuous emotions.

"The fuck, indeed. ALL the satellites are down... or missing... or something. Something's wrong... my lat and longitude readings place us in the exact spot we were in... where Minerva's panic room WAS. We should be DEAD... but we're not... and I know THIS because I still feel like a FREIGHT TRAIN hit me... and when I died... all sense of pain was gone. So we're in the same PLACE.... but everything's changed. [she shrugs] Maybe we're in a different realm... or time... who the hell knows."

Morgan expressed guilt over Barbara.... but Haleigh shook her head as she got slowly to her feet. Haleigh had her own regrets about not being able to free herself and help put up a stronger defense, but now was definitely not the time.

"No, Morgan... I'll tell you whats no good.... wasting time feeling sorry for ourselves. it HAPPENED. she's gone, and that's a damn shame.... but there's NOTHING we can do about that now and crying about it isn't going to change OR help our situation. Whatever misgivings you may have, about yourself or your powers or your actions, youd better SUCK THAT SHIT UP. You NEED to be strong right now, strong for your OWN sake, and strong for everyone else's too. that goes for EVERYONE. We ALL make mistakes.... lets not relive it.... lets just move on.... and figure out what the hell we're gonna do now."

It may have seemed harsh... but Haleigh believed it needed to be said... and she knew it needed to be heard. Nobody here would benefit from being coddled... right now they had to look ahead.

::Guardian slowly got up to her feet. looking down at her tattered costume. a terrific metaphor for the situation in general. THEY may have been saved...but what good was it if the person they were trying to HELP was lost?::

:: Morgan expressed her guilt and sorrow over Barbara Minerva's death. Alison could IMMEDIATELY identify with the feeling she had. Circe had swept through them the way a tornado sweeps through a shack in an open field. the POWER she commanded, the way she did so...it was all so VULGAR but yet..on a secret level INTRIGUING.::

:: Barbara was gone and Alison HATED herself for it. Alison thought of Sharon Kelly as well...but she ALSO thought of Morgan the night of Master Mold , Cameron King , even Erika King and several OTHERS who had died despite her efforts.::

Circe was more than any of us could possibly handle at this stage. The power she channels...its the same as YOURS, Morgan but something about her...it was exaggerated. The magnetic pull that you felt..i felt it too but because my magicks arent the same as yours and her's...she did not find me AS necessary to her plan.

:: Morgan wanted to leave, Alison could see it in her face. a stepping disc to whisk her away to Limbo and possibly never return. it was a tempting idea...if Alison had HER own dimension to retreat to..she might consider it as well but ultimately , Rampage was right. Morgan couldnt leave. She wasnt so willing to forgive herself for Barbara however, and neither was Morgan.::

We appear to be in an entirely different time. so far BACK that technology as we would know it...does not exist. which means, Haleigh, that the majority of your powers will be hampered. This is a time where magick and other more spiritual things rule the land but at the same time, things are not necessarily going to be any easier for us. I suspect that Persephone is best suited to tell us just WHERE and WHEN we are.

:: Persephone stayed silent as the others began to confess their guilt. And then of course, Haleigh, telling everyone to suck it up and move on. To them, she was another loss. Another person they couldn't protect with their powers. Another failure. But to Persephone, she was a dear friend. Someone who related to her in so many different ways. A tie to her old life that she was forced to leave behind. And that tie was now severed. ::

:: Slowly opening her eyes, the goddess heard Alison explain they were in a different time. Where technology didn't exist. As much as she wanted to just sit in the plush field they were located in and escape in her own thoughts, it was time to get to work. To figure out exactly what happened, how they got here, and where exactly in time they were. But just as Persephone was about to comment, a soft ney of a horse could caught her attention. Looking to the gazebo afar, a beautiful white stallion with chest plate and head armor could be seen trotting along the dirt path that winded around the fields. A man dressed in a traditional guard's uniform riding on top of him. Persephone's eyes widened......they were in ancient Greece. ::

"Oh hell."

:: The horse huffed, stopping abruptly at the guards command. He had spotted her. Luckily she was farther down the hill than the others and he seemed to only see her. ::

"Hide."

:: She quickly spoke as the horse began to move again, picking up speed and heading in their direction. ::

"Hide!!"

:: Turning to the six, Persephone spotted a thick brush only a few yards away. Pointing to the brush, she immediately began to 'usher' the team along quickly. ::

"Over there! Go! Quickly!"

:: Normally Persephone wasn't this pushy, but if they were in fact in ancient Greece, the team needed to hide immediately. Everyone, including herself, was dressed in modern clothing. If the guard saw them this way, it could cause questions to be asked, which ultimately could in fact change the timeline and the course of the future. Even the smallest of things could effect a change, and they as a team, couldn't take that chance. ::

[ Delilah listened as Haleigh blasted everyone for having emotions, once again. She spoke solemly to the group, meeting each of their eyes in turn as she said the words. ]

"If there's one thing we should know by now, it is that bad things happen. We stop what we can, help who we can, but it isn't our fault."

[ Her gaze fell down to Morgan. ]

"We aren't God...not even Persephone."

[ Her eyes rested on Ava as she put a comforting hand on Morgan's shoulder. The goddess was clearly upset and feeling the loss of Barbara, more deeply than the rest of them, as was to be expected.

Suddenly, Ava was yelling for them to hide. The look on her face told Delilah it was not the time to ask questions. She reached down and grabbed Morgan by one arm and began dragging her toward the brush that Ava had indicated, trusting Nicolas would help her. ]

As Perspehone bid them to hide, Nicolas grabbed Morgan's other hand to help her into the bush. He also surreptitiously moved a few other bushes in to provide further cover. As he scanned the area with his TK, he could recognize from the makeup of the ground itself that they were thousands of years in the past, the geological makeup was MUCH different.

How far back ARE we? Is this even our dimension?

Nicolas thought to himself as he extracted a few raw materials from the ground and made a suit of armor similar in look to the one worn by the man approaching. He then sat and waited with the rest of the team.

<< Morgan bristled at Haleigh's rather caustic admonishing of her to "suck it up." she turned her head sharply as her icy violet eyes fixed on Haleigh.>>

you'll FORGIVE ME if I am having a bit of a HARD TIME with the fact that I was all but totally RAPED by Circe as she USED me through and through to AID her destruction of us and that the memory is still fresh for me. we LOST Barbara Minerva...we did a SHITTY job of protecting her....and she didnt deserve to die the way she did. it was MY power that bolstered Circe's. YOU may not understand that...but I LIVED IT! so don't tell ME to "suck it up"....YOU didnt go through it.

<< Morgan's tone was sharp and harsh as she pulled away from Rampage. and got to her feet. She allowed herself to breathe as Delilah spoke, putting a comforting hand on her friend's shoulder. She spoke the right words...but they still didnt do much for Morgan.>>

<< Morgan looked down at the makeshift outfit Rampage fashioned for her. She was mildly insulted that he would presume she WANTED something like this right now but she was too tired in her mind to fuss. She just wanted to go away and sleep.>>

they dont understand. they never have. they'll NEVER know what it felt like to be a spectator in my own body. to know that there's someone out there who could take me over..despite my power and USE me to their amusment.

<< Morgan was deeply troubled by it but she could not enjoy the benefit of brooding as she was grabbed ...AGAIN...by Rampage. they were all ushered behind thick brush as they were now HIDING from men who looked like something out of a technicolored film from the 1950's. horses with armored accents and greek soldiers? hardly a threat but if there was one thing she knew TOO well it was how sensitive time streams were and how they could not interfere and since Persephone seemed to know just where and WHEN they were, it was best to let HER lead the way for the moment.>>

<< she knelt down behind the bushes.>>

<< in an icy voice>> In my own time travels, not to mention Ororo's books and journals in her apothecary, I would guess we are in ancient greece. during their more "stylized" period.

:: As everyone ducked in the large thicket, Persephone held her ribs painfully as she tried to catch her breath from running. Moving to the edge of the thick, the guard was getting closer. The engraved markings on his metal chest plate showed that he was a kings guard. Squinting her eyes to get a better look, the symbols seemed to pin point King Hector...but Persephone wasn't quite sure. It had been a while, after all. ::

:: Pushing herself from her knees to a squatting position, the guard would find them all instantly if they stayed where they were. Turning toward the start of wooded area, Persephone bushed through some dead tree limbs before stopping. A few feet away laid a dead man. His head barely attached to his body. The ancient time period was extremely brutal. People left dead wherever they fall. Which in this case worked very well to Persephone's advantage. Grimacing slightly, dead bodies didn't bother her, but the smell of a two week old corpse wasn't exactly too thrilling to her senses. Quickly making her way over to the body, Persephone rolled him onto his side, maggots and bugs falling from the open wound on his neck. Pulling the red cloth wrap from under his body, she quickly tore the thin fabric with her nails, finally releasing it. Dipping her body as she wrapped it around her back, covering her shoulders, luckily it was large enough to cover the majority of her battle suit. ::

"Stay there and don't say a word."

:: Standing upright, Persephone pushed her way through the wooded brush, walking away from where the six were located. With her back turned to the guard, the horse came to a sliding halt. The guard withdrawing his sward. ::

"Stop! In the name of King Hector!"

:: Persephone stopped. Turning slowly, the breeze caught her brunette locks, causing them to fly across her face. But that made no difference. The guards eyes immediately went wide with terror, realizing who he had just stopped. Finally facing him, Persephone’s icy blue eyes narrowed. ::

"Persephone...."

:: In record speed, the guard literally dropped his sword, and pushed himself off his horse, falling to his knees in front of her. His face nearly touching the soil beneath him. ::

"I apologize! I did not know it was you! I-I-Please, my lady! My goddess! Please! Please don’t kill me!"

:: With her eyes cast down at him, Persephone didn’t speak at first. ::

"Stand."

:: Scrambling to his feet, the guard stood as Persephone commanded, but didn’t dare to look her in the eyes. ::

"What is your name."

"L-Lucius, my lady."

:: Placing her index finger under Lucius’ chin, she pushed it up, forcing him to look into her eyes. ::

"I will spare you life, Lucius. But you must leave now, and never speak of our meeting. Do you understand me?"

:: He quickly nodded. ::

"And if I hear that you have been running your tongue....I will rip it out and bleed you dry. Trust that."

:: The guard looked utterly petrified as he nodded and quickly backed away from Persephone. Stumbling over his own sword, he picked it up frantically and pulled himself back on top of his horse. Turning toward the direction he came from, the horse was immediately commanded into a gallop, leaving Persephone and the six safely on the hillside. ::

:: Pushing the smelly wrap off her body, Persephone wrinkled her nose as the material pooled at her feet. A shower was now high on her list of things to do. Walking back to the thick where the six hid, they had to leave immediately before anyone else came upon them. ::

"We need to leave here. Morgan, are you well enough to transport everyone to my home?"

[ MorningStar waited with baited breath as the guard approached. She holograpically made the bushes look thicker, to hide them better, but if he stepped on them, it would be of no consequence.

Persephone's quick-thinking saved them. Delilah gaped a little at how the guard prostrated himself before the goddess...no one ever did that for HER. She almost chuckled to herself.

When danger had passed she stood and brushed herself off. Persephone suggested they go to her home. Goddesses had houses? But then, something didn't sit right with her. ]

"But isn't there so sort of cross-time alternate of you here? Won't the universe implode if future you and past you see each other?"

[ She spoke casually, but it was a serious question. ]

:: Alison followed Persephone's direction, crouching down behind the brush. She was not terribly worried herself, but any unecessary "changes" or ripples made in this timeline could effect them all in longterm. Alison knew better than most how dangerous that could be.::

:: as Rampage asked how far back they were, Alison looked over at him.::

far enough back enough that our parents, grand parents, great grand parents etc....don't exist. we are in the time of greek antiquity. a time that has served as the inspiration for artists, sculptures and scribes for centuries since. we are in the time where the myths and legends we read about...are VERY MUCH REAL.

:: as MorningStar asked about a possible cross time alternate, Alison shook her head.::

as nearly as i can tell, that will not be an issue. the pendant that Barbara Minerva gave Persephone allowed her to RETURN to HER specific time and place that she originally called home. Persephone has hopped through several realities..the most recent ones being Darkchilde's and now are ours but THIS...this is where she began.

:: Persephone handled her business, and sent the soldiers on their way as Nicolas seemed to almost prematurely try to fashion a disguise for himself.::

why are you doing that? we aren't in the STONE age....Persephone has a plan to provide us with "cover stories" and costumes so that we will not cause any unrest. we are in an age where mutants and...."hybrids" , glancing at Haleigh, simply don't exist. Witches, sorcerers, gods/goddesses are the order of the day.

:: she looked around the immediate area they were in.::

this is just the beginning. we're going to be in for a long...and at times...IRRITATING adventure but I warn you all now..for our sakes as well as the timestream...TRY to blend in as best you can. We STILL have a mission to complete. We have to find the means to DEAL with Circe to save OUR timeline from the destruction of Pandora's box.

:: Alison's tone was low. there was a weariness in her cobalt blue eyes. She was still thinking about Barbara and everything that lead up to that moment and she was in less than little a mood to "hide" from what she considered to be uneducated barbarians (the soldiers etc). BUT AGAIN, she could hardly allow herself to revel in her own secret impulses...for the fate of so many others rested on her shoulders. Being a precog SUCKED at times.::

<< only seconds passed before she found herself unable to abide Nicolas' touch.>>

LET GO!

<< it was clear that Morgan was suffering from severe psychological trauma as she pushed him away and stood up. NOT HEEDING Alison's warning as she was TIRED of hiding!>>

<< Persephone was just returning to them as a very unsettled Morgan popped up from the bushes, glaring at her with her icy violet eyes. Persephone didn't miss a bit when she asked Spellbinder if she was strong enough to teleport them to her estate. Morgan immediately took offense.>>

Look, just because that CRONE had her way with me..doesnt mean I've forgotten how to use my most basic power. LIMBO is still MINE to command you know!

<< she spat with such hostility. but anyone paying close attention could see that there was something WRONG with Morgan. she was hurting on a psychological level for various reasons. Before Persephone could speak, a crash of thunder and a chime signaled the opening of a stepping disc and in the twinkling of Morgan's glaring eyes, they were teleported from where they were to Persephone's estate. With Morgan noticeably FAR from the group as they emerged.>>

<< she turned away, wrapping her arms around herself and shutting her eyes. She didnt want to be HERE. She didnt want to be around THEM or even LOOK at them! She wanted her mother, ororo..someone who could understand or HELP her!>>

<< even ALISON seemed "so far" away from her at the moment. she felt alienated from her own body in some strange way and she was still very shaken...afraid that it could happen again that she'd NEVER be able to defend herself or keep others from being hurt.>>

<< her mind, her heart raged with BITTERNESS and a desire...for REVENGE! She had prided herself on making sure NO ONE got the drop on her, and in one moment Circe obliterated all her defenses and made her nothing more than a TOOL. Morgan was having a HARD time coping and this could proove to be a MAJOR problem.>>

<< she looked down a her self. the makeshift outfit that Rampage had given her....she frowned.>>

so crude. so TYPICAL of him!

<< seeking comfort and security, Spellbinder gestured around herself with her arms and with a chime she was now in an elegant violet silk robe, tying it around herself and making sure her body was well concealed.>>

:: Guardian was more than aware of the pain and distress Morgan was in. this was WORSE than the actual attack. THAT at least she could try to stop but now, there was this deep seated violation and betrayal Morgan felt, not to mention fear and isolation. the classic signs of a victim of extreme trauma..."rape" was all TOO good a way to describe it. ::

:: she knew that Morgan was in a bad way and that most of the Six wouldnt understand it. they might even make things WORSE. THIS on top of all else they had to deal with and the lingering uncertainy she felt...it was giving her a headache.::

Curse Circe and her entire bloodline. I would love to PUREE' her skeleton with a telekinetic attack before blowing her apart. it would be the LEAST she deserved for what she's done...what she INTENDS TO DO!

:: she looked around the splendor of Persephone's home. this was only the beginning. some of the accents the furniture pieces..she'd seen them in Barbara's home! how was that possible? She looked down at herself and realized that her costume had been to reduced to worn and tattered rags..despite it being "state of the art" body armour in exquisite leather form. She too needed to change, but she wanted to refresh her body too. going near Morgan and placing a comforting hand on the woman's back, ALison turned back to the others.::

we need a moment to rest. Morgan needs time to rest. Before we plan our next moves before we go anywhere else...we need to STOP for a moment and just BREATHE.

:: Alison's own exasperation was showing. what happened in the Six's timeline was the ULTIMATE manifestation of her own fear...of "NO CONTROL". it was on par with the night of Master Mold or Inferno and just like in THOSE two cases...she now had another innocent's life on her conscience.::

:: Morgan snapped offensively at Persephone question, but the goddess shrugged it off. She could tell Morgan was having problems coping with the fact that Circe practically raped her body and used it as a conductor for the crone's powers. And with that, Morgan transported everyone to Persephone's 'home'...her castle in the Underworld. ::

:: Arriving in the great room, it was tastefully decorated suited to the time period they were in. Books covered the walls, and a fire roared in the large marble fireplace. A large black bear skinned rug laid on the floor in front of the fireplace. Beautiful dark wood furniture placed filled the room as well. Torches hung on the walls around them, creating the light they needed to see. Screams and groans of condemned souls could be heard outside in the distance. The view from the numerous windows showing craters, lava, and fire burning all around the castle. Looking to Alison as she spoke, Persephone nodded. ::

"I agree. But everyone must change first. I have servents that could see us at any moment. Once we change, we can meet here and rest. Come, follow me."

:: Walking out of the great room and into the massive foyer, the large staircase split off into two directions. Making her way up the stairs, torches continued to light their path, but for the most part everything in the castle was very dark. Finally, Persephone made her way into a room filled with large tin buckets and white garments hanging on lines of rope. Touching a few of the garments, Persephone pulled down three of the dry ones. ::

"Take these."

:: Handing Morgan, Delilah, and Haleigh each a garment (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/hollyfan/servent_outfit.jpg), they were very simple and far from glamourous or flattering. ::

"You can stay here and change. Alison, Nicolas, come with me."

:: Closing the door as they left, Persephone made her way further down the hallway, before entering another room. This room filled with weapons, battle attire, and shields of all sorts. Hades had a vast collection that he built over the years. Walking to a large armoire, Persephone withdrew a brown leather 'skirt' and chest plate (http://www.bradpittfan.com/pics/mtro006n.jpg). Taking a pair of brown sandals that tie around the ankle, Persephone handed them to Nicolas. ::

"Here. I doubt Hades will notice they are gone. You can quickly change here."

:: Walking out with Alison, she was the last to receive her 'modern day attire'. Entering a room close to where they just left Nicolas, it looked like a storage room. It sort of was, this room was where Persephone kept all of her mother's belongings after she was killed. Everything seemed to be tossed in here, obviously showing the lack of sentiment when it came to Demeter. Going to an old wooden chest, Persephone opened it and withdrew a beautiful red robe (http://www.diane-kruger.net/gallery/albums/7/promotional-013.jpg) and matching red dress. It was something Demeter had worn ages ago when Persephone was just a little girl. Handing the delicate garment over to Alison, along with metallic gold sandels, Persephone headed over to a small jewelry box as she spoke. ::

"Those were my mothers....Here.."

"Take this as well. Alright, well, I need to dress as well. I'll meet everyone down in the great room."

[ Delilah gave a worried glance at Morgan. She was clearly not taking things well, but Delilah wasn't a therapist and she didn't know what she could really do. She certainly was not going to try in front of everybody - she would have to wait until she and Morgan were alone.

She felt the now-familiar sensation that travel via stepping disc brought on, and found herself in Persephone's fortress. It was comfortable, if a bit dark. She looked out the window and saw lava. Lava. ]

"Holy shit."

[ She followed Persephone wordlessly as they went to fetch fresh clothing for them all. She looked down at herself. Blood caked across her clothes, face, and pretty much everywhere from their battle with the animorphs. A major shower is what she really needed. They reached what appeared to be a laundry room, and Persephone handed her what amount to a white cotton sack. ]

"Oh you have GOT to be kidding."

[ She reluctantly began cleaning up and changing into the...thing. ]

<< To be traumatized AND seperated from the two women BEST capable of helping...it was something that Morgan might or might NOT survive during this caper. Alison did her best to stand in the gap, but she was not without her breaking point...would it be reached during their time in Ancient Greece?>>

<< In the sprawling estate of Persephone's , the goddess began to show the members of her team where to refresh and change, providing specific garments for each of them. As Alison had explained, Persephone had a plan to protect their identities and preserve the integrity of this time stream. some of the team might not find this too appealing but as Alison warned..they HAD to follow along.>>

<< Alison kept a seer's eye on Morgan while Persephone lead her to a private chamber and handed her beautifull robe and some exquisite golden jewels and accessories. what seperated her from the others? Alison already knew the answer but chose not to say anything. Persephone seemed to know what she was doing and while Alison was now commanding the Six during Morgan's time of distress she knew it was best to let Persephone show them the way in this timestream. This was HER home turf and while several of the team had time traveled through Limbo before...this was different. there were no safety nets provided by Ororo or Morgan...their lives both in this and in their own timeline depended on their actions and how well they could remain "undercover">>

<< with the exception of Alison, the team had no idea just what they were instore for.>>

<< Nicolas was left to dress the part of a decorated warrior. He certainly had the body for it and though he was a master on the battle field, he could clearly see that Morgan was slipping away from him..RAPIDLY. How could he help her? Her Psi screen protected her mind and SHE would no doubt react harshly to any further physical contact from him.>>

<< Haleigh was perhaps on the most uncertain ground. She was now in a time where technology was no longer her's to command. Sure she had command/manipulation over simple objects such as knives, swords etc...but a vast majority of her power was now USELESS. Morgan and ALison had experienced this during the Nightmare caper...and now she would get a taste of it as well. She was a trained warrior as well as Nicolas, would she adjust easily to playing the role Persephone was about to give her?>>

<< and Persephone, now back in the timeline where she began, realized that she too would be faced with some situations and PEOPLE that she had not seen for a long time. Reunions were not always as joyous as a person might hope.>>

Morgan snatched away from Nicolas and angrily replied as she tore them away to Persephone's palace. It was EXACTLY what he expected from a queen of hell. Dark yet elegant. Cold yet comfortable. He admired it for a moment then his thoughts went back to Morgan.

He realized that she was in a state of shock. Her hormone levels mirrored those of rape victims he had encountered while trying to help refugees. With her mind protected from him, he was unable to help at a moment when his powers could have proven a salve for her until she could get her feelings out, deal with them. As it was, he decided to maintain a safe distance for them both until he could try to reach her or until Alison did so. Unfortunately he realized that his strength was a hindrance not a help in this situation, and he hated that.

Persephone led them all to a room where Morgan, Delilah, and Haleigh were given simple tunics really.Persephone then led himself and Alison to a separate room and gave him garments that were ACTUALLY worn by her husband, Hades. As the women left him he nodded his thanks to her and used a basin nearby to quickly cleanse himself as he dressed in the armor and skirt.

"So we are to play dress-up, huh? I hope I look the part.."

Nicolas said, realizing that his darker skin color would cause him to stand out from the others. he placed his axe upon his back and waited for Perspehone to let him know what to do next.

Alison began piecing together where they were and when... and she pointed out that many of Haleigh's powers would be inoperable in a time where 'tehnology' meant a round wheel as opposed to a square one. Haleigh kicked a clump of small pebbles at her feet, understandably displeased at the thought of being bridled by the technology of the time [or lack thereof].

"Yeah, I get it."

She grumbled, as Persephone herded them into the bushes to hide from an aproaching sentry. Haleigh ducked into the shrubery and sat out of sight while Ava dealt with their unwanted company. Morgan reacted to Haleigh's suggestions defensively, and Delilah tried to comfort her. Haleigh realized all too late that the guilt Morgan was dealing with had more depth than just losing an innocent, and she chided herself for not thinking things through. Delilah tries to talk to her, and Haleigh begins an attempt as well.

"Morgan... that's not... what I meant to say was... just... never mind, forget it."

She abandonned, sensing that Morgan wasn't listening anyway, especially considering the way Morgan disregarded Delilah's attempt.

Haleigh mainly tagged along as they went from the plains to Persephone's undeground castle, a magnificent structure of beauty and granduer that Haleigh apreciated for a long lost form of art. It was the piece of fabric that was handed to her that Haleigh did NOT appreciate. She held it up to the light as Persephone led Alison and nicolas away, and Morgan closed herself off from Delilah and Haleigh. she WANTS me to wear this frumpy, floppy thing? It must be payback for that time i ACCIDENTALLY ran her Roman Princess Barbie over with the tractor. It HER damn fault for leaving it out in the arena.... she KNEW I had to resurface the jumping soil the first few days of the month. Ugh, this is ridiculous, I would rather tramp around STARK NAKED! Still, Haleigh knew this was no time to be vain.... and she begrudgingly began to remove her battle dress uniform and clean the blood from her hands and face/neck before drying off and wrapping herself in the provided linens, trying to make the best of the 'outfit' by making slight adjustments to downplay the most unfavorable of the dress's characteristics. She almost laughed when she looked up at Delilah, both the state of her garment and her obvious displeasure with it. she tried to lighten the mood.

"Shall we go back to the Greatroom and present ourselves for the wet toga contest?"

she asked sarcastically, promising herself to never let Ava hear the end of this injustice... as she folded her arms across her chest and began to walk with Delilah back to where they were all supposed to meet. She seemed to be absorbed in her own thoughts, and gazed off in the direction they were heading.... but guiltily posed a question.

"I s'pose I was too hard on Morgan, huh?"

:: Alison nodded as Persephone handed her the beautifull garments and jewelry. Persephone left , allowing Alison a chance to refresh and change.::

a daring plan she has.

:: Alison thought lightly as she changed and refreshed.::

the gods and goddesses of this timeline are so self absorbed..they dont need a red moon to exacerbate their character flaws. HISTORY documents them to an almost SOAP OPERA level. fooling them will not be a problem, but how long will the six be able to tolerate the attitudes and mind sets of this time where women are less than second class citizens?

:: she used her own TK to syle her hair..a clever little exercise that slightly amused her as she adorned herself with the exquisite golden jewelry, preparing to play the role of a legendary "Seer".::

:: this time she spoke aloud, softly..no one was around to hear her.::

I'm worried about Morgan....

:: she looked herself over in the mirror. She must have had similar dimensions to Demeter as the gown fit her just perfectly.::

[ Delilah was as clean as she was going to get - getting the blood out of her hair had been a problem. She was now wearing the white robe thing. Hey, at least it showed off her cleavage...

"Shall we go back to the Greatroom and present ourselves for the wet toga contest?"

[ Delilah snorted. Such an unexpected comment from Haleigh! She allowed herself a smile.

She walked side by side with Haleigh towards their meeting place. She liked Haleigh even if she was infuriated by her sometimes. ]

"I s'pose I was too hard on Morgan, huh?"

[ Delilah held up her thumb and index finger. She spoke in a low voice. ]

"Just a little bit. You have to understand Haleigh - Morgan is strong. You know her, know that. So if she's upset, there's a reason. And she is not going to just snap out of it."

[ She seemed to retreat a little into herself as she spoke. Staring off in the distance. ]

"We saw what suppressing emotions can do to a person - it doesn't just one day magically get better."

[ She turned to look at Haleigh. ]

"You don't have to turn into Dr. Phil, but just TRY to understand that not everyone can compartmentalize their lives as well as you do."

[ She wondered if she had been too harsh with Haleigh. But sometimes it seemed as if nothing bothered her...but the mere fact that she recognized she had been too hard on Morgan was progress.

She smiled tentatively at Haleigh, trying to soften what she had just said. ]

:: Entering her bedroom, Persephone stopped at the doorway and looked around. It was exactly as she remembered it to be. A large circular king sized bed with black Egyptian silk sheets covering it. An elegant black mosquito net draped from the ceiling and down to the floor, covering most of the bed. Although obviously not needed in the underworld, it was still a traditional decoration piece for the wealthy. Beautiful paintings filled the wall, some more graphic than others. Dark woods, beautifully sculpted clay vases, and golden nick nacks gave the room warmth yet elegance. The space was fit for a Queen...naturally. ::

:: Closing the double doors behind her, Persephone began to unzip the front of her uniform, wincing in pain. Stripping the leather material off, the swelling and bruising around the lower half of her rib cage was pretty bad. Running her fingers lightly across the skin, she closed her eyes momentarily remembering the battle between herself and Circe, and the fact that Barbara was dead. Letting out a sad sigh, Persephone crossed her room and disappeared into another room to wash up. ::

--

:: About a half hour had passed since Persephone had left the others to change. Walking into the great room, the Goddess was dressed in a beautiful black gown (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v645/hollyfan/goddess.jpg) (pic2 (http://www.ajolie.org/gallery/albums/albums/movies/alexander/promo/alexander-promo-016.jpg)) that still fit perfectly to her statuesque frame. With her waist length raven hair now curled, the goddess sported beautiful golden earrings, arm band, rings, and crown. Her beauty more prominent than ever before; Persephone truly looked like a goddess. Noting everyone’s attire, she could tell Morgan, Haleigh, and Delilah were far from pleased when it came to their garments.::

"I apologize for the less than stylish attire. I will have something new made for the three of you as soon as possible. I was far from prepared to travel back...here."

:: Persephone wasn’t exactly too pleased to come back to this time line. Especially occupied by the six. She was a different person in this era. Far more brutal and unforgiving. She wouldn’t think twice about killing a person because they made a simple mistake, or humiliate someone for the sheer fun of it all. Persephone in this time period, and Circe, were very similar. Except Circe grew more vicious and power hunger while Persephone learned to control her rage. For the six to have to see her this way could change their feelings about working along side of her. ::

At the appropriate time Nicolas returned to the great room of the palace where everyone began to congregate. he noted the plainer outfits of Delilah, Morgan, and Haleigh yet noted that they wore them well in any case. he noted Alison's look in her own gown but his breath almost caught when he saw Persephone. She was every bit the goddess of antiquity, regal and beautiful and yet foreboding. :: Glancing to Morgan who was pretty much lost within herself, Persephone nodded to Alison before crossing over to the b beautiful antique looking couch. Sitting down, what she was about to explain to the group--particularly the woman--would surely make this situation even more of a pain. But mostly she was concerned for how Morgan would react. She was already withdrawn within herself; not ackknowledging anyone. It would be a miracle if they made it out of Greece without being caught. ::

"Alison is correct. Each of you must assume a role in order to avoid being discovered in this time line. But along with your role, there are vital rules that everyone must follow."

:: Gesturing to Alison. ::

"Alison will be my Seer, hence her more glamourous attire. It is very common for Gods, kings, and other higher ranking officals to have Seers who work along side of them."

:: Looking to Rampage. ::

"It's common knowledge amoung the Gods that I travel to Egypt often to visit a dear friend of mine, Isis. In order to explain the fact that you are an African American within a society of strictly Caucasians, you will play the role of a great Egyptian warrior. Many of the Gods hand pick warriors to battle in the colosseum, and you will be mine."

:: Finally looking to Haleigh, Delilah, and Morgan, she knew their roles would annoy them the most. ::

"As for the three of you, you will play the role of my servents. I understand your reluctance and annoyance about doing so, but there is no other alternative. When we are out in public, there are rules you must follow, otherwise your cover could be compromised. You must not speak to me unless I speak to you first. That goes for all the Gods. And you must bow with respect when in the presents of a God. Never walk in front of me or aside of me. If I give you an order when in public, you have to oblige with saying 'Yes My Lady'."

:: Persephone could already see the hate and disblief in their faces while she explained the rules. But it was how this time period worked, and they needed to understand that. The world had centeries before it evolved into what they were used to living in. ::

"And most importantly, while in the presents of a man, you cannot speak or look at them unless they make contact with you first. Woman are second class citizens here; they have no rights. Unless of course the woman outranks the man socially. But that doesn't apply in these circumstances."

:: Letting out a low sigh, if the roles were reversed, she would be just as pissed as Delilah, Haleigh, and Morgan all looked. ::

"I do apologize for this.."

Nicolas smiled as he heard his assignment. He was versed in both ancient cultures so this would be no problem. And having the pleasure of kicking a little ass also appealed.

As Persephone addressed the servant triumvirate, he saw their pride and attitudes come to the surface but in Morgan, there was something else. She was trembling as her mind radiated renewed pain and distrust. As a victim of a cruel violation, she was displacing her pain onto the rest of the group, to disastrous effect. Nicolas was at a loss as to what to do. If she weren't psi-screened, he could induce a trance and work her through her pain, give her some relief so that she could better function. But she was so powerful, so naturally well-protected that she was hard to reach unless she allowed such a thing. Nicolas turned to Morgan, voice even and calm, hands palms out to show NO threat and spoke to her. He did not advance on her and he looked into her eyes with the concern he felt. He wanted to help her, not corner her, and she needed to see that they weren't the enemy.

"Morgan, you know that we wish you no harm. This only affords us an opportunity to move around this timeline without destroying it and with some modicum of safety. We need you, and we are here for you. Please don't shut us out."

:: Alison listened, already knowing what would come with Persephone's words. Her OWN role was easy enough...all that would matter is that she proove just how POWERFULL a "seer" she were since many seers/soothsayers in this time were nothing more than mad people shouting rubbish. It would give her great satisfaction to humble the gods without them realizing that was what she was doing.::

:: but of course her own secret joy was eclipsed as Morgan was the first to object with such a harsh edge that her voice sliced through the silent air. This wasn't like Morgan at ALL and the pain, the fear, the distrust radiated from her. she had felt her body trembling when she placed a hand on the witch's shoulder a few moments earlier but now she stepped back as Morgan pulled away from her. hoping the OTHERS would keep their distance as well.::

:: Rampage was the first to speak. ever so gallant. maybe to a fault. try as he may, he could not understand what Morgan was feeling and her psi screen, though a source of immeasurable protection most times, in THIS case it clearly prooved to be a hinderance to the one person who had powers that could help EASE Morgan's mental anguish.::

:: Alison frowned a bit, thinking of the best way to handle this before Morgan lashed out with force against one of them in that room. Rampage appealed to Morgan, but Alison knew it would fall on deaf ears for the most part. Rampage's motives were genuine and his sincerity was noted.::

Keep your distance, Nicolas...all of you. Do not try to force her into anything.

:: Alison looked over at Morgan directly.::

Morgan, the last thing that I....WE :: she certainly hoped the others would agree with her.:: is to see you hurt. We didnt want it BEFORE we got here and believe me..I tried EVERYTHING that I could to stop her from doing what she did to you.

:: Alison paused, carefull not to be preachy::

If you want to say here..and rest for a bit, you can. With your teleporting power and cloaking spells, you'll be able to reach us at even the last possible moment unnoticed by the locals. Youre presence...youre involvement will be needed to ensure our success. we ALL have a role in this if we are to see CIRCE answer for what she did to you..to Barbara and what she will do to our world if she goes unchecked.

:: Alison looked at Morgan still, softening her gaze.::

I know you want to leave us. you would go to Limbo and stay there if you had your way...but I ALSO know that you NEVER RUN from anyone..no matter if it is a man, or any powerfull foe. You may hurt now and most of us cannot understand that pain...so take this time to rest and at least prepare yourself to meet us in several hours. Delilah agreed with her as they walked back to the Greatroom, and offered a little constructive criticism. Haleigh nodded sheepishly... she knew Delilah was right.

"Yeah... I guess you're right. sometimes I forget.... everybody copes differently. I don't know... I want us to make it out of this one... I always do.. and when I see people breaking down... its hard. I know I seem cold sometimes... but when we're in the middle of one of these crazy escapades... all i'm looking for is the exit sign... and how we can accomplish what we set out to do on the way there. I neglect that all anybody else can see is the pain. Something I need to work on, I reckon."

she says, seating herself in the Greatroom.... Morgan was there, and she was notably distanced. Haleigh sensed she wasn't the best person to handle that particular problem, given the fact that she had no sensitivity 'gloves' to wear. She watched as Persephone, Rampage, and Guardian returned, all looking refreshed and BEAUTIFUL, and Haleigh could feel her outrage grow.... and then Ava opened her mouth.... and what she proposed was beyond unpalatable, it was downright RUDE! Morgan was the first to react, and Haleigh followed shortly after, fixing Ava with and incredulous stare. how DARE she?

"EXCUSE YOU?! I don't think you appreciate the state WE are in. I can't speak directly for Morgan and Delilah, but I'm STRESSED out, STRETCHED thin, I've been YANKED back to the stone ages where HALF of my powers don't work, and you've got me wearing some ABOMINATION that makes me look like an empty TEABAG. So why don't you ask me AGAIN... ask me to act like some second class citizen."

Haleigh fumed.... things were bad enough without Ava coming in and insulting her like that. Alison tried to reason with Morgan, and Ava tried to apologize! Haleigh stood up abruptly and backhanded an expensive looking urn across the room.

"And I apologize for smashing your priceless artifact. [giving Ava a predatory glare] Yeah, that sounded REAL sincere, didn't it?? It is EASY for you to say that... YOU look like royalty. [pointing to Alison without looking away from Ava] SHE looks stunning. And why does HE get to look like THE fucking GLADIATOR? IM a warrior TOO. I should be looking like Athena... or Nike, or some shit. but NO, I'm supposed to BOW to everybody. YOU are a GODDESS in this timeline, Ava. YOU speak, and EVERYBODY will listen. YOU have the power to accord us the RESPECT we deserve. the VALUE and PRESTIGE that we have EARNED. Not you CANT, but you WONT. :: Morgan, Haleigh, and Delilah all got the short end of the stick in this mission. And Persephone knew that they would be annoyed with it, no doubt. But Morgan's emotional outburst was far more intense than the goddess had anticipated. She was obviously distraught and not herself, so the goddess sat there calmly, not wanting to upset her any further with comforting comments. But soon after Alison attempted to calm the witch down, it was Haleigh's turn to flip her top about what was going on. Slowly, Persephone's tolerance of the situation began to thin. Gripping her hands into tight fists as Haleigh continued bitching about their clothing, her powers, being thrusted into this time period without so much of a break while Persephone seemed to 'live it up' dressed to the nines, that was when the goddess lost it. ::

"FINE! Get out! Go out into this world, guns blazing and tempers flaring! Showing how powerful you truly are by showcasing all of your powers! "Teach" the men how woman are supposed to be treated! And SEE what kind of world you return to! See if any of you are even BORN let alone rich with celebrity-like statuses!"

:: Standing, Persephone understood the stress everyone was going through. Understood that Morgan felt violated and angry. Knew that everyone was feeling the guilt of loosing Barbara Minerva. But what they DIDN'T know was how THIS world they were in, wasn't a nice trip back in time for Persephone. ::

"Don't you DARE stand there and tell me because I am dressed the way I am.."

:: Tearing her crown off and throwing it clear cross the room. ::

"That I have no hardships here! I was punished! Sold off like a common WHORE to my jackass of a husband! FORCED to sleep with him, FORCED to ENJOY a marraige that I wanted no apart of because ZEUS wanted to punish me because I was becoming "more powerful" than he anticipated. I was CONSTANTLY belittled by bitches like Athena Artemis! Overlooked and attacked! I had to BUILD the respect and the status that I have out of NOTHING! Persephone returned fire, in a true sisterly fashion. And though Haleigh refused to admit it, she had a point.... they couldn't do anything outrageous in the past... everything would have a butterfly effect throughout time... but Haleigh was stubborn, and proud, and she retaliated with the one thing most stubborn, proud people do:

"FINE! I WILL!"

She exclaimed with conviction, even though she [and everyone else] knew that she wouldn't. Persephone went further, throwing things and blowing up, and no one in the room had to guess if fits of anger ran in the family. But Haleigh wasn't backing off, and she stalked after Ava as she went to the window. She grabbed Persephone by the elbow and spun her around. Haleigh didn't have to be tall to seem big of stature, her vehement presence had a way of permeating the air around her in every direction.

"Oh, why dont you GROW UP?? Stop that! STOP pouting. EVERY SINGLE PERSON HERE has had to FIGHT for the place they are. NOT ONE OF US has had it EASY. EVERYBODY here has PAID THEIR DUES. So don't you act like THAT. What, you want us to feel SORRY for you?? Well I DONT. you don't NEED my pity. STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM, and start DOING SOMETHING about it."

:: Pouting? Playing the victim? Start to do something about it? With her teeth clenched and her eyes a deep shade of blue, Persephone sent a swift, HARD, slap against Haleigh's cheek. ::

"Grow UP? Do something about it?! Haleigh, don't you dare stand there and act like my big bad sister who knows every scar and emotional wound I have! I've made a name for myself in this time line and every other time line i've been in! I've gone through situations I wouldn't wish upon anyone and never ONCE crawled into a corner and sobbed about it! I've been through HELL and have LEARNED from each experience, centery after centery after centery! And when I show ONE! ONE OUNCE of emotional distress, you tell me to stop pouting and GROW UP!? FUCK YOU! Why don't enlighten me about how you would feel if you went back to relive the moments before and during Morgan's death during your fight against Master Mold?! Your knees dragging across the concrete, as you screamed out in agony, fighting desperately to hold onto you team mate?! Yes, I READ the reports. I've done my research. Tell me how YOU would feel before you bitch like a little child to me and tell ME to GROW UP!"

Nicolas was at wit's end. He understood Morgan's problem, but Haleigh gave him a bit of a surprise with her response. He calmly re-assembled the vase, placing it back into position EXACTLY and turned to face the arguing sisters. He felt that Guardian was best for Spellbinder at the moment and the way that Morgan looked at him clearly marked for him that he was the enemy. His instincts said to fight the battle that could be won.

"Ladies please!!" <<<looks at Haleigh>>> "Haleigh, you know that this time was a horrific one for Persephone. The daughter of a pre-eminent Earth goddess who had the world at her feet and was growing up strong and beautiful. An entity of surprising might who was as free as you or I at one time. sent away to appease the god of Hell to satisfy his carnal urges at the behest of a king of gods that barely recognized her EXISTENCE, much less free will. I know the costume is beneath you, but we both know the alternative is much less palatable. Besides you pull it off and trust me, the queen of Hell's servants probably do less groveling and bowing than you are imagining, if my memory serves."

<<<turns to Persephone>>>

"I am very familiar through my studies with how bad you had it here, and I am sorry. Hopefully we can run our errands quickly and be done here before you have to deal with..him. Either way, our success depends on you and we realize that, no matter what has been said. When you are ready, I have a few specific questions about the mission that we need to answer as a group."

Haleigh was momentarily stunned.... Persephone had just slapped her. And while it was hard to hurt Haleigh's dense tissue, the strike served as an abrupt wakeup call. Needless to say, Haleigh heard Persephone's following rant loud and clear. Nicolas did his best to de-escalate the situation, and bravely, but Haleigh's eyes were locked on Ava's and they didn't leave her. Haleigh lifted the backs of her fingers up to graze her cheek, and all the while Ava threw Master Mold in her face, Haleigh hid the pain with a growing pervasive smile. she gave Ava a playful warning shove.

"Now THAT's doing something about it."

She said softly, turning back towards the center of the room. She caught eyes with Delilah. It hit her... without realizing it, she had done it again... imposed a hardedged expectation on Ava that was something only Haleigh herself could manage. She shrugged gently. 'Too late now,' the gesture seemed to say. 'I'll work on it.' She came back to the sitting area.... and her eyes seemed to decieve her... there was the urn.... had she imagined hitting it?

"What the HELL is THIS?!" She asked, with a disbelieving tone. She hit it again, sending it across the room once more and smashing it. Maybe she was experiencing some kind of invasive deja vu. "Now STAY THERE." She commanded, as she turned her focus to just getting the hell OUT of here....and not on the flashbacks of Morgan's death. Why did Ava have to throw it in her face like that? and why oh WHY did everyone act like Haleigh was out of line when she treated Ava like her sister? HALEIGH hadnt asked for things to be this way... everyone ELSE had pushed her into it... INCLUDING Persephone herself.... so why did everyone act all shocked when Haleigh filled the position she inherited when Ava and Persephone became one and the same?

[ Delilah was sullen. Being in a different time - surrounded by lava - wearing uncomfortable clothes and apparently becoming a servant...it made her want to c url up into a ball with a box of chocolates and daytime tv. Of course probably neither chocolate nor tv existed in this place in time, but still.

Morgan and then Haleigh WENT OFF. She felt their same displeasure, but she just didn't have the strength to argue anymore. They needed to move on. She moved a bit closer to Morgan, allowing her natural luminescence to grow and to hopefully produce a calming effect on their leader in her time of distress. Persephone had her chance at a tirade, then Haleigh returned fire. This was getting ridiculous. ]

"HALEIGH! AVA! This is NOT the Jerry Springer Show! Arguing is going to get us nowhere. The quicker we finish this mission, the quicker we can return to our own time and closets. And you two can go to therapy because you both clearly need it. But for now, would it be possible-"

[ Her tone softened as she motioned indicating Morgan. ]

"For you to find something more...comfortable...for Morgan to wear while she rests here? You must have something else in your own closet she could borrow...since she won't be joining us she doesn't need to appear as a servant. Please, Ava."

:: Haleigh's harsh shove hardly made Persephone stumble, but more annoyed than anything else. The girl seemed to crave negative feedback and feed off of it. But regardless, she walked away and rejoined the rest of the team on the other side of the great room. Letting out a low sigh, Morningstar chimed in trying to keep the peace, for Morgan's sake. Rolling her eyes shut, Persephone's headache was becoming more intense. ::

"Yes, of course."

:: Opening her eyes, she looked to Alison who seemed to be the only one who could keep Morgan at bay for the time being. ::

"Morgan can retire in Hecate's room. There are numerous silk night gowns she can change into while she rests."

:: Pointing Alison toward the stairs as Persephone crossed back over to the group. ::

"It's the second to last door on the right; passed the room I gave you your garments in."

<< Morgan was convinced Persephone had betrayed her in a way and in her irrational mindset, she was HOPING Persephone would try to "pull rank" on her now. She may not have been able to stop Circe but she would make sure to beat Persephone and anyone else in the room BLOODY if they tried to "control" her at this point. She was, after all, the second physically strongest in the room.>>

<< it did NOT come to that though. Nicolas and Alison tried to appeal to Morgan with genuine sincerity...and though Nicolas (just by being a man at this point) was not very high on Morgan's list...she sensed that he truly meant her no harm and so she did not attack him. Alison was one of her best friends...a witch as well. if ANYONE could understand surely it was her..right? and she was their "Guardian"...SHE would make sure Morgan was safe...if no one else cared to...right?>>

<< Morgan fixed her icy violet eyes on Alison as the seer spoke. her tone, her words of understanding and reassurance brought a much needed CALM to Morgan's raging mind and uncertain heart. She wasnt going to be forced into anything, Alison promised her that. She would have time to REST...to be ALONE!>>

<< the relief she felt, she didnt express outwardly and almost as soon as Alison had provided a solution to THAT problem, Haleigh exploded with indignation at Persephone but this was more than about being insulted through the garb and role she was to portray...this was a true example of sisters feuding. it was a bizarre mix of Persephone AND Ava's history that Haleigh attacked and Persephone returned fire just as harshly. Morgan watched but she was too weary, too detatched to speak. she just stood silently with a face like stone.>>

I want to go ...away...

<< she kept wanting to teleport away. She COULD..nothing could stop her from moving through time and space but Alison's words rang in her head as well>>

you've never RAN from anything..be it a MAN or a powerfull foe!

<< it was both a declaration AND a challenge, one that Morgan's own heart could not deny on a secret level and it was because of THAT alone that she didnt flee and leave them there. She bowed her head and closed her eyes , exhaling slowly as MorningStar's light flowed around her allowed her a bit of an escape and calm.>>

<< as Ava and Haleigh finally reached a draw, Delilah seconded Alison's idea to provide Morgan with a place to rest. How FITTING was it that Persephone directed her to the room that HECATE herself had stayed in. Hecate and Persephone were close friends...DARKCHILDE and Persephone were close friends...the bond between Persephone and Spellbinder was stronger on the professional level at this point but there was time...and soon, they too would know a stronger personal friendship. For now though, Morgan needed rest and she would now be able to get it.>>

There finally seemed to be a coming together about what to do. Nicolas wa loath to leave Morgan here, but he knew it was for the best. Besides, when you have your own Seer around, you always have a set of eyes over your shoulder...

Now in her own time and realm, Nicolas could "feel" the emotional feedback that Persephone was giving off about being here, this situation as a whole. He eased her migraine and stepped forward with his question.

"Will you be the only one to speak Seph? If need be, I can translate mentally whatever is said to our listeners and decode what is said for our own ears as needed. Or you can do the speaking and I can link us, save Alison. I want to be certain we get this right so we can be done here ASAP."

:: Alison looked at up the ceiling, her face betrayed an expression of slight disbelief/exasperation as Haleigh and Ava tore at each other. Haleigh could be SO unpredictable and for a PRECOG to feel that way about someone....that said alot.::

:: there was no need for Alison to get involved in this. She understand how squabbling siblings could be...after all she had Cameron and Erika to contend with for years. Haleigh and Ava traded strong verbal blows that were equally telling it was proof that their bond was stronger than they might have thought and it was a facsincating view into how Persephone had changed since merging with Ava's core essence. She was a goddess..and NOT of the six's timeline originally but yet here she was in her own timeline arguing with her newfound SISTER just the same. if her fellow gods/goddesses knew what changes she had been through...if they knew who ANY of them really were, could any of them cope with it? probably not.::

:: Nicolas and Delilah intervened as best they could until Ava and Haleigh began to calm it down a bit and Delilah reinforced Alison's decree that Morgan would be left behind to rest. Ava graciously offered the quaters where HECATE had stayed. was that coincidence?::

:: Alison nodded with approval as she placed a hand on Morgan's shoulder.::

I will lead her there and see her to bed. When the time comes that we need her, I'll be able to send her a signal from where ever we are.

:: with that, Alison , secretly enjoying the regality of her own attire, lead a weary Morgan away to retire to Hecate's chambers and left the others back where they were all standing.::

You'll be fine, Morgan. You'll be able to rest here in the safety of Persephone's castle while we prepare for our journey.

:: leading her into the chamber, she opened the wardrobe to find many exquisite, feminine night gowns.::

these are fabulous, Morgan. here, take a look and see if you like one!

:: Alison and Morgan soon left, leaving only herself, Haleigh, Delilah, and Nicolas. Aggravated and exhasted, Persephone shook her head at Nicolas as he began to play 20 questions about traslations. ::

"Hecate has a spell in her apothecary that will enable everyone to understand and speak in whatever language is needed. I just need to find it."

:: Walking to where she threw her crown, she picked up the disgarded head dress which was still in tact. Even though they were in ancient times, items were crafted pretty well. Holding the gold metal in her hand, Persephone turned to the group once more. ::

"I'll retrieve it now...and Alison can cast it once she returns."

:: Leaving the the rest of the group in the great room, Persephone disappeared into the large castle, heading to Hecate's private apothecary. ::

Haleigh was reticent while order was restored... Morgan and alison left and soon after, so did Persephone, whom Haleigh watched exit like a predatory animal. She repressed a smartass remark as Persephone picked up her crown and left the room. Haleigh turned back to Morningstar and Rampage.... and the glint in her eyes showed that she intended to 'let them have it' as well. She opened on Delilah first.

"YOU are gonna need THERAPY -- psychologically AND physically -- the next time you leave me high and dry like that! WHAT the hell is WRONG with you?? Have you NO dignity? No self respect?! I can't BELIEVE you didn't back me up! You're getting the SAME briefing I am, wearing the SAME thing. Are you REALLY okay with this?! Are you REALLY just ACCEPTING that you will be expected to PROSTRATE yourself in front of every Tom, Dick, and Harry on Mt. Olympus?? Come ON!"

Haleigh rounded on Nicolas, and she was going to let him have any space... She grabbed hold of the neck of his chestplate, sliding her fingers between the metal and his skin, and pulled him down until his eyes were level with hers. A few centimeters separated their faces and she gave an impression vaguely reminescent of a military Drill Instructor chewing out a trainee.

"AND YOU! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?! You CODDLED her?! You INDULGED her insecurity! Her INSTABILITY! WHAT, you think I was too hard on her?? GET FUCKING REAL. What happened to her was real sad. But GUESS WHAT. We've ALL got SOB STORIES, and it doesn't do us ANY GOOD to POUT about it. It HAPPENED, and we can't do anything ABOUT that.... and There is NOBODY here or ANYWHERE in OUR world that would BENEFIT from her SELF PITY except our ENEMIES! It was a moment of WEAKNESS and we NEED to ELIMINATE that as MUCH as possible. It is our RESPONSIBILITY to our SELVES and to EVERY LIFE THAT DEPENDS ON OUR TEAM that we make each other STRONGER! I may have PISSED her off, I may have HURT HER FEELINGS, but you can be GODDAMN SURE that she's STRONGER because of it.... and she will THANK me one day for it! And if she DOESNT, I GUARAN-DAMN-TEE YOU, I will thank MYSELF for it the day her STRENGTH of CHARACTER shines through and SAVES my life-- or YOUR life-- or HERS! Do you UNDERSTAND ME?!"

She releases him, her demeanor softening only a bit, as she shakes her head. "We OWE it to each other to make sure that we are as STRONG and HEALTHY as we can be. would you let me stand up with you and go to battle with a bleeding HEAD WOUND?? Of COURSE you wouldn't, I would only become a LIABILITY... and TRUST ME, Honey.... emotional wounds are JUST as detrimental as physical ones. MORGAN isnt coming with us... and in HER state, who here would be COMFORTABLE with her coming?? But I happen to KNOW Ava.... and she is STRONGER than she thinks right now... and she just PROVED it, didnt she? That girl GAVE as good as she GOT, and now in HER mind, she knows she can HANDLE herself and she can even DISH out an EMOTIONAL attack in the midst of a moment of insecurity. She put her armour back on, and she LIT into my ass. [glancing at Delilah] so yeah.... sometimes I do some CRAZY shit.... it ISNT always easy, and most of the time it ISNT very nice. I dont think its Dr. Phil.... but it WORKED, didn't it? TRIED and TRUE.... Battle tested... that's ALL that counts. you have to KNOW loved one's BUTTONS.... and you have to be COMPLETELY UNAFRAID to push them.... because ONE DAY... somebody ELSE will. Do you WANT your teammate to be unprepared?? I sure as hell dont... and I'm willing to take a little fire now... rather than an INFERNO later."

Nicolas listened to Haleigh as she ranted and raved after Persephone's departure. She even tried an intimidation tactic with him, which made him smile widely, but with a hint of malice. He let her finish, then he replied, his voice booming through the chamber as he elevated the floor she was standing on so they would again be eye to eye.

"Can the bullshit Haleigh! This whole thing started with you bitching about your wardrobe and role in the charade to come. Ava had ALREADY apologized to soothe your wounded ego but NO, that wasn't good enough. You decided to smash items you know nothing about" <<points to the urn, which is once again whole and in its place>> "and then berate her for going through something infinitely worse than your time to come as a servant girl. I simply acknowledged the re-opening of wounds that she experienced by returning to this place, but she was already in great shape to proceed. The problem is anytime someone emotes, you find that weak. You need to check that. There are more emotions than anger and lust, and you can experience them ALL and still be strong. In fact, that is the only way to be whole. It certainly beats the tired diva act you just pulled because of circumstances beyond ALL of our control. If you have a better plan, let's hear it. Otherwise, fall the FUCK back!

Haleigh fought a smile... Nicolas had spine and an indomitable spirit, but he seemed to miss the point.... and he was still trying to bring Haleigh's objection to her intended role back into the discussion. Haleigh punched his chestplate hard enough to DENT it, knowing it would hardly make him budge.

"YOU'RE GODDAMN RIGHT I find it WEAK! You know what YOUR PROBLEM is, King? You are a GREAT fighter but you are not WARFARE ORIENTED. EMOTION COSTS LIVES, I know that to be a FACT, and I have MORE experience with this than you can FATHOM. Make NO mistake about it, we ARE IN THE BUSINESS OF SAVING LIVES, and every SHADOW of emotion costs us, even emotions like ANGER. You think I dont FEEL what you guys feel?? You think I don't feel the GUILT and the PAIN? The SADNESS and REMORSE? Yeah, I feel ALL that, day in and day out. SOMETIMES, I can't feel anything else. the DIFFERENCE is... I know how to put it away or use it for good. I can shut it down, and hide it away. The GOOD news is.... it CAN be learned."

She shook her head... on a roll now, and if Nicolas wanted to keep bringing up her original objection, she could address that too. "Yep... you're right. This whole thing DID start because I was PISSED. And you can stand there, and think whatever you want about me, but you have NO place telling me anything, not until YOU experience it. Here, I have an IDEA... why dont we SWITCH? No, here, RIGHT NOW, how about it. How about you get down on your KNEES and bow to ME?? How about you SHUT YOUR MOUTH and dont DARE speak to me unless I ASK YOU TO?? How about you walk over there and make POWDER out of that GODAWFUL, TACKY-ASS FUCKING URN, becuase I COMMAND you too? YEAH. You CANT do it. On the other hand, I CAN and WILL do WHATEVER is necessary. But I am NOT happy about it. And now EVERYBODY knows it."

:: time passed as Morgan cautiously examined the night gowns in the chamber that they were in. Alison sat back and smiled a bit as Morgan seemed a bit less upset and more tranquil.::

Now then, you'll just rest here for a time and I'll send for you when we need you. You'll be safe here.

:: Morgan didnt have much to say. she was clearly tired and in need of rest and Alison all too aware of what was going on elsewhere in the castle. As Morgan began to fall asleep, Alison closed the doors behind her and returned. Persephone would have need of her to cast a spell but she knew the goddess would cherise those few moments alone that it would take to get the spell so she waited in the Greatroom, watching the squabbling continue.::

the egos of those two [haleigh and nicolas] alone ..if those egos could be turned into something tangible- perhaps even USEFULL... they would END the hunger crisis in our world as we know it.

:: she thought as she folded her arms and watched them all have a go at each other. Haleigh was taking this very badly. had she for once thought about the NIGHTMARE caper in which Alison and Morgan were the ones experiencing a loss of power? Haleigh was almost cavalier about THOSE two "adjusting" and yet here she was...raising hell like no other. when she commented on an INFERNO...Alison took GREAT exception. Knowing what lead up to that and how HER warnings were ignored all the way through to that point::

are you finished yet?

:: her voice dripped with annoyance.::

We're ALL in a precarious position right now. We do MANY things..but playing "roles" to appease the egos of is not something anyone in this room fancies.

We HAVE NO ENEMIES HERE in this timeline, Haleigh..save perhaps OURSELVES given the way some of you are acting. We're HERE for a specific purpose. it's just that unlike other instances where we could storm in and take what we needed by force...we have to play a GAME.

I am the team tactician, i understand it and i would think YOU would as well as YOU were a tactician during your days in the war fields you CO-LEAD with me during Morgan's "death"..and NOW, ONCE AGAIN you are defying even MY understanding of your behavior.

I think we ALL need to take a moment to CALM DOWN and PREPARE for what lies ahead. It would be EASY ENOUGH for us all to hide in a room in this castle and never leave, to not even think about returning to OUR WORLD to pick up where we left off with Circe but i think we can each think of one or two people who we care about don't want to see destroyed by that woman. Barbara was enough...and even SHE should not have been lost...THAT was Persephone's LAST LINK to the time that she apparently enjoyed the MOST and though she didnt want to show it...she cared about Barbara..she was more than just a contact or an ally. she was a trusted and respected friend.

NONE of us has taken that into consideration. Persephone hasnt even had time to GRIEVE and maybe the grieving process isnt as necessary for some of you as it might be OTHERS...but it is NO ONE'S PLACE to deny anyone the right to grieve just the same...considering that all she tried to do was to get us to FOCUS on the task of helping Barbara before it was TOO LATE.

:: Alison looked around at each of them.::

Morgan is in a bad way and its FUNNY that you should mention an Inferno, Haleigh. do you REMEMBER what pushed Morgan over the edge the LAST TIME that happened?

We may have to play roles for the outsiders but we are still a team and still supposed to be FAMILY, we SHOULD be able to hold each other accountable but NONE OF US should be randomly and NEEDLESSLY attacking each other.

Alison came in... and Haleigh rolled her eyes. as ready as ever to butt in where she really doesnt belong, i bet. her suspicion was correct... as alison interrupted to ask if Haleigh was done yet, Haleigh held up a hand to stall her and replied.

"I'm ALMOST done, Alison, don't worry, I'll get to you... just give me a minute more."

She said nonchalantly, turning to Morningstar with a knowing smile. "What, Delilah, you don't agree with me? That's okay... I don't need your explicit approval... you've given me enough to determine that deep down, in places you dont talk about, you WANT me to be right. You know HOW I know that? Because in your own lazy, patronizing way, you just tried it YOURSELF. You didn't like what you saw from me, so you challenged me to change my behavior... you didnt use the same phrases... or the same force... and I see right through it... but i s'pose its the thought that counts.... and i AM tired of arguing with a brick wall."

She said, turning and sinking into the couch next to Delilah, laying her head back all the way to look up at the vaulting ceilings as Alison started her pep talk. Haleigh kept staring at the ceiling.

"Oh really, no enemies? You don't really think THAT, do you? If we had no ENEMIES, we wouldn't need to take such radical precautions, am i right?"

She propounded, almost as if she weren't expecting an answer to the question, but just wanted to float the idea. And, as Alison commented on not understanding Haleigh's behaviour:

"It's okay, Alison, you dont HAVE to understand everything... I know it just CHAPS your ass to not know... but somethings MAY be beyond your immediate comprehension."

She said, still staring upwards, as if at the stars or something equally fascinating. Alison kept her running commentary going, now moving on to preach about how easy it would be to give up now and hide out it this timeline forever.

"Oh yes, it would be EASY ENOUGH... as EASY as it would have been for YOU to stay in the nightmare realm perhaps, where your vision was blurred? Ah.... but you didn't do any GROVELING there, did you?"

She couldn't help but drive the point home... and by now it was becoming obvious that the compounded effect of being here half crippled with loss of power and what was asked of her had her in a most irritable mood.

"C'MAAWWWN..... I never said she COULDNT greive, people! NOW just isnt really a good TIME.... Christ... I'm just SAYING, okay??"

But Alison wasn't QUITE done with Haleigh... and her next shot hit hard and cut deep.... deep enough for Haleigh to raise her head and settle her eyes on Alison. Deep enough for her tone to drop to the bottom of her vocal register, to where it was only JUST audible, and yet it was TEEMING with hostility.

"Mmm... somehow I suspect.... in fact, I am certain... that if I INEXPLICABLY managed to forget, YOU would be right there to remind me, wouldn't you, Alison?"

As Persephone stood in the apothecary looking for the appropriate potion, suddenly a pair of hands enveloped her, strong and silent as death, grabbing her breasts as she was pulled back towards a male form. This man was nearly as tall as Nicolas, and quite a bit wider, but muscular. As she fell back to him, it was obvious that this man was VERY glad to see her as he pressed against her. He kissed her on the neck and she was filled with his scent, very fresh and musky but with a hint of...something not quite right. As he spoke in a nearly impossible bass, what Persephone knew immediately became obvious: HADES, King of the Underworld, was home!!!!

"Persephone, it has been too long. I have always wanted you in here, in this room. Besides, what better potion than the seed of a High God?"

As he spoke, his hands reached lower, pulling up Persephone's skirt...

:: The apothecary that Persephone provided for Hecate was massive. Stories tall and as large as a witch could dream of. The possibilities were endless in this room; walls filled with potions and ingrediantes needed for potions. Looking over a few papers that were placed on a work table, they were nothing more than notes. Moving to the large alter that held one of Hecate's spell books, Persephone flipped it open, looking from page to page. As her eyes scanned the material in front of her, she didn't hear Hades enter the room. The fire light from the torches, that hung on the wall, flickered as he passed. He was the one person that Persephone's acute hearing could not pick up...he was literally like death walking. No sound, nothing. ::

:: Gasping in as Hades pulled her away from the alter, his hands tightly gripped her body like a vice. Closing her eyes while her neck was extended to the far right, Hades' lips scortching a trail of fire down her bare skin, causing Persephone's stomach to turn. His voice was low and deep; speaking with the same amount of cock and perverse as she remembered. Feeling his hand move up her thigh, Persephone finally opened her eyes, placing her hand on top of his firmly. Pressing it harder onto her leg to stop the movement, Persephone gripped his hand, twisting his wrist to the side as she rotated her body off of his to face him. With his wrist locked, Persephone's narrowed eyes met with her husbands. ::

"You're vial."

:: Her voice dripping with hate, Hades and Persephone's relationship was....extremely complicated. Very hot and cold at times. As much as she wanted to kill Hades where he stood, just for the sheer fact that he touched her, Persephone had to keep her temper in check for the sake of the stupid timeline. It made her sick. ::

"I can't wait until the day that I kill you..."

:: The queen's voice low an even. Her statement alone foreshadowing Hades' demise at her hand. She knew hee would brush it off as a meaningless threat, therefore Persephone knew she didn't 'compromise' the future timelines. But it felt good as hell to say, as she looked deep into his eyes, knowing the truth. ::

Hades

Hades laughed a deep booming laugh as he watched his wife defend herself and spit a little vitriol at him. You would think that the years would have lessened her hatred of how they got together. I mean really, she is the Queen of Hell, allowed to roam as she pleases, and is only asked for a little coital action from time to time. Truth be told, Hades had a soft spot in a usually very cold heart for her. Her fire, her beauty, her pride were all that he could ask for in a queen. if only she could forgive the past...

Hades twisted his wrist impossibly and gained control of her arms, pulling her to him until he was pressed against her again. He reached around her, binding her arms into his hardened chest as he grabbed her bottom with both hands. even though she hated his crass attempt to control her, the sexual tension between them was incredible.

"You didn't think I was so vile the last time I pulled up your skirt. One would think that someone as composed as yourself incapable of WHELPING with such passion. How about you cease your empty threats, soften your heart, and enjoy your king."

hades kissed her neck again, this time more softly, tracing his tongue along her collarbone as he worked to seduce her...

:: Pulled forward, Persephone rolled her eyes as she turned her faced away from Hades. It wasn't that Hades was unattractive to her; in fact he was down right gorgeous. But it was the principal of the matter. Feeling him trace kisses down her neck, he certainly wasn't an amature at the act of seduction and sex. Persephone's breathing picked up while she closed her eyes and extended her neck back further to give him more access. Running her slender hands up Hades' muscular arms to his shoulders, Persephone used one hand to lift his chin, removing his lips from her skin. Meeting him, mouth on mouth, Persephone's scortching kiss was drugging. Literally. Hades' heart began to race faster as the poison leaked into his system. But he was no fool, she had done this numerous times...sometimes for fun, others times to keep him at bay when she needed her work done. At this point, Persephone's dear husband felt lightheaded with a wonderful high. Any normal person would have dropped dead by now, but being a God, Hades was only effected slightly by her toxic. Breaking their kiss, aqua eyes met with chocolate as she smirked with a bit of delight. ::

"A little secret from me to you...sweetheart.."

:: Running her one hand around to the nape of his neck, and the other down his firm chest, Persephone leaned forward to Hades' ear. ::

"You never once made me 'whelp with passions'..."

:: Hot breath dancing along his ear as she exposed the fact that she had always 'faked' during sex, Persephone ran her tongue up his earlobe to seal the deal. It was all a lie of course; Hades was phenomenal in bed...but ever man hated to hear the possibility of never succeeding in pleasuring a woman. ::

:: Pushing away from Hades, Persephone reached behind her and ripped out the spell that she had been looking for from Hecate's book. Giving him a devious smirk as she brushed passed him, Persephone exited Hecate's apothecary. ::

:: the floating cobalt blue eyes were hidden behind a large potted plant and would hardly be noticed.::

:: Alison herself expected such a stubborn "yeah but im STILL RIGHT BECAUSE..." retort from Haleigh. the woman would never stop even though she knew she should. it was an insane stubbourness that she had.::

:: at the very end, when Haleigh seethed with hostility toward Alison for her remark about the inferno and the cause of it, Alison cooly replied as she folded her arms..::

look in the mirror haleigh...your FACE should be an ever present reminder of it.

:: Haleigh had a face FAR DIFFERENT from the one she began with when she joined the six and only Alison and Morgan would realize that as the rest of the team had only met haleigh post "resurrection". Haleigh's new face ALONE should be a reminder for her...not only had she suffered DEATH, but she had been granted a second chance..a new body and a fresh start in life with the understanding that she would have LEARNED from her mistakes and endeavor to do better.::

:: she turned , her royal robe flowing with her turn. she had seen all she needed to see with the exchange between Persephone and Hades. the floating colbalt blue eyes shimmered out of view in the apothecary as Alison turned to warn the others. ::

Persephone should be returning, but beware, her significant other...HADES is here as well. he REEKS of chauvanism.

:: Alison's concern was with Morgan. if Hades discovered her sleeping in Hecate's chamber, what would he try? if he DID try anything he would face Alison...no matter WHAT the cost.::

Hades drank in her poison eagerly, unafraid of its dangers. He was enjoying this. Perhaps they would actually have a little..but NO. She whispered in his ear an affront to his manhood then slinked away. He knew her denial of his skill in bed was a lie, NO ONE couold fake THAT well. NO ONE. It was impossible. But just to be sure, he would punish her sweet spot the next time he bedded her. He gave her a parting shot as she left.

"That's funny. Your voice is normally never that high. I will HAVE to have you sing for Zeus with that type of range. But if you were left wanting last time no matter, you will not want for anything the next time."

Hades left the Apothecary quiet as death, walking over his mansion.

Haleigh stared at Alison, for once, truly stunned. Just what is she driving at?? I haven't done ANYTHING to her... is she TRYING to provoke me? She thought, as she narrowed her eyes, trying to evaluate calmly. I know I'm being a bit belligerent, but do i really deserve THAT?

"You know WHAT, Alison? I don't like your ATTITUDE. Because I'm sensing a little animosity on your end, and I'm not quite sure why.... so is there something you like to SAY to me, chief? Have I done something to OFFEND you? Now I let your FIRST trespass slide.... but that was WAY out of line just now. I mean really... in VERY poor taste. Bygones, right? You've got some of your own, if I'm not mistaken."

She said softly, crossing her legs at the knee and resting her hands on top. She seemed mostly distinterested in the news that Persephone was coming back, possibly with Hades in tow.

"I'm not sure QUITE what your malfunction is, Alison, and honestly, I'm not really in the mood any more... but if you want to have a go with me, by all means, hack away.... go on... whittle me down, lord knows I could probably use it... I bet i REALLY deserve it too. Hell, we could even trade blows. Reopen all our old wounds. You could hurt me... I could hurt you, we could have a REAL time of it. But frankly... there are more pleasant things I'd rather do.... gargling acid comes to mind."

:: turning around again as Haleigh seemed to CHALLENGE her, Alison's blue/black hair whipped with the turn as her eyes were now wide with indignation.::

do i "know WHAT" indeed? YOU have been tredding on thin ice with me since you DARED to put your hands on me back at Barbara's. I could have laid you out THEN in MORE than one way AT ONCE but i knew you didnt realize how SHORT SIGHTED your actions were. The RED MOON was still lingering in all our hearts and minds and so I chose to let it go..at least at that moment.

I've NO interest or desire to assasinate your character. i'm WELL aware of my own faults and misdeeds and most of us in this room have a varied list of the same but if there's ONE THING that i DON'T tolerate...its when someone attempts to MAN HANDLE ME when i'm trying to HELP THEM.

If I wouldnt let my own SISTER and BROTHER do it [the reading of Carmeron's will] what in Hecate's name would make YOU think YOU could get away with it? You're accustomed to people falling back from your physical intimidation but i think you've been around ME long enough to know that i dont fall back before ANYONE. I'm one of the FEW people who has enough power to make SURE i dont have to.

:: Alison's tone was harsh and directed.::

YOU were the one who used the INFERNO as an example to bolster your argument while noticeably ignoring the OTHER aspects of that situation...YOU left yourself open for a retort. You can dish it out, but lately it seems you can't TAKE IT.

People ask you nicely, calmly to take it easy, to lay off..you dont listen. when someone fights your fire with fire of their own...you act shocked and dismayed as if you cant imagine WHY its come to that. GIVE ME A BREAK!

You talk about people "sucking it up"...and yet here YOU go...doing the very thing you were berating MORGAN for when we first arrived her...or what she and I were BOTH going through in Delilah's nightmare dream scape.

why dont you just SHUT YOUR MOUTH and SIT THERE until its time to go. do what you ALWAYS do..internalize everything and wait for ANOTHER time further down the road to "let us have it" at yet ANOTHER inopportune time.

:: she felt the need to check on Morgan, and to do her best to conceal Morgan's presence while Hades was roaming the castle.::

[ Delilah zoned out. She couldn't even tell what Haleigh was saying anymore. She was just bitching to bitch. Delilah had been serious when she suggested Haleigh stay behind. Can you say blowing things out of proportion? ]

"Blah blah blah."

[ She said it under her breath, but she didn't really care if Haleigh heard her. This was giving her a headache. And she didn't think even Haleigh knew what her point was anymore. She rolled her eyes. ]

:: Persephone could hear the arguing from down the hall as she approached the great room. Rolling her eyes, Haleigh was STILL bitching and moaning, but this time to Alison. This was becoming ridiculous. She had to do many things in the past that she didn't like or agree with, but she did them for the welfare of her own life and the lives of others. Why Haleigh was blowing THIS situation out of proportion was beyond her. ::

:: Entering the room just as Alison was preparing to leave, it was obvious that she had grown tired of fighting with Haleigh as well. Delilah seemed annoyed as well, but was courteous enough to not go into an all out war with her. ::

"If you're worried about Hades finding Morgan, he won't. He doesn't dare go near Hecate's chambers."

:: Rassuring words to the worried seer. Persephone knew Alison was watching over everyone and everything and saw her interaction with Hades. There was no use pussy footing around the obvious. Handing Alison the folded piece of parchment paper that contained the spell to help with the language barriers this mission, Persephone moved past her and back into the great room. ::

"Once Alison casts the Spell, we'll return to the service."

Haleigh almost chuckled... she narrowed her eyes and smiled shrewdly.

"See, I KNEW you were still upset about SOMETHING... I must admit though, i DID think you'd have gotten over that by now. Really, what do you want me to say? I'm SORRY I got a LITTLE carried away, but seriously... what did you EXPECT?? You GOT IN MY WAY... You were just STANDING there WATCHING her get her ASS handed to her, and after what happened to Morgan, can you BLAME me for wanting to go HELP her? I didnt want to LEAVE HER BEHIND.... its actually funny, one would THINK you of ALL people would be a fun of THAT particular habit of mine, considering its SAVED YOUR LIFE. or has your selective memory forgotten NERVOUS? I came back for YOU, Alison, and you can bet your bottom dollar that if ANYONE had gotten in my way then, I'd have tossed THEIR asses across the room.... and before you pull that [nasal tone to mimick Alison] 'i knew she wasnt gonna get hurt' shit, just remember, the REST of us can SEE the future. You know how you felt fighting the Pontiff?? Fearing what might come next, only being able to GUESS? THAT'S how the rest of us feel ALL the time. And here's a REALLY good question for you, Alison.... if you chalked it up to the RED MOON then, why the HELL are you bringing it up NOW??"

And Alison continued... strange, for a woman who claimed not to want to argue, she was doing a good job of JUST THAT.... and again she hit on the Morgan thing....this woman's like a broken record!

"Oh, I am SO SICK of THIS SHIT. OKAY, PEOPLE! OKAY! It was the WRONG thing to say. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW she'd take it so damn badly, hmm? some people NEED that kind of pep talk. Good GOD, I was just trying to MOTIVATE her. It was a bad choice of words at a bad time! [looking from person to person] Okay??! I FUCKED UP. I made a MISTAKE, are you all happy?? A MISTAKE... you know, like all HUMANS do? Of course, with my being --forgive me-- a little more SUPER than most humans, my mistakes tend to be collosally BIGGER."

Persephone came in, talking mostly to Alison, who suddenly wanted to move on. HA, As if.

"Oh, NOW you don't want to 'speak about this anymore'. AFTER you've finished attacking me. WELL, HERE'S AN IDEA: how about you pull your CLAWS out of my BACK and leave me ALONE, and then maybe we wont HAVE to 'speak about this anymore'. [turning to Delilah] And YOU! Why don't you just SHUT THE HELL UP if you can't manage to string a PROPER SENTENCE together!"

"ENOUGH, Haleigh!"

:: Both herself and Delilah seemed to be at the end of their ropes. This was getting way out of hand. If Haleigh had it her way, she'd bitch and moan her way back to the 21st centery. Delilah finally exploded, letting into Haleigh, and knowing Haleigh, she would fight right back. The on going circle of bickering that would lead to no where. ::

"I'm not going to waste one more moment hearing you bitch and pick fights about past and present situations. It's ridiculous already, and completely pointless. We have yet ANOTHER mission to complete, so unless you want to live the remainder of your life in this time line you so obviously hate, we need to get moving."

:: Now would Haleigh actually shut up and refrain from fighting back, unlikely. Ava may have been the 'younger' of the two, but Haleigh acted far more childish. Being stubborn is one thing, but the lengths that this fight--that started over clothing nontheless-- had gone was outrageous. They may have been thrust back into time, but that didn't mean their OWN time line wasn't suffering from Circe and the Red Moon. The longer they fooled around, the higher the chance of returning to a world that has been picked apart by Circe. ::

"Delilah, because Morgan is incompasitated at the moment, you'll be our means of transporting from the Underworld to the surface."

Nicolas was tired of this. It was pointless and only degraded team morale further. He simply stopped, broke the cycle of back-and-forth and stood, arms folded. He could sense Hades vaguely as he moved through the Palace, and he knew that an encounter between this group of ladies and him right now would be catastrophic, win or lose.

As Delilah slapped Halegh,Nicolas was surprised, and IMPRESSED. Her edge was much sharper than he had remembered it. It was cool to see her like this, though maybe not very helpful. Nicolas repaired the damage to the breastplate he wore and waioted for the team to get itself together.

Suddenly he noticed something coming, but was far too late to warn the team verbally... He telepathically notified anyone who could hear him.

Hades is right around the corner!!! Let's move!!

"Violence is the only thing she understands."

Green light came from her fingertips, swirling first like a mist and then like a tornado, creating that green tunnel they had used before for travel. The power flowed around her, feeding her, energizing her. Her blonde hair blew gently back from her face, the white robe billowing about her.

the NERVE of her! she makes it almost IMPOSSIBLE to NOT regret befriending her.

:: Haleigh was STILL having a go when Delilah slapped Haleigh and once again DEMANDED the woman to back off. Did it have to come to this? EVERYTIME Alison felt like she COULD soften up...someone like HALEIGH reminded her why it was a GOOD THING to be the "hard ass" "robotic nazi" that she had come to be known as. It was almost without thinking that she sometimes showed her humanity...which she considered to be an extreme vulnerability, especially in the presence of someone like HALEIGH.::

:: Haleigh would almost SURELY react to Delilah but Delilah was plenty capable of taking care of herself in this instance. It wasnt like haleigh hadnt provoked more than one person in the room. Alison was lost in thought as she wandered down a hall, wanting to make sure that Morgan was safe from Hades. Persephone spoke and got her attention as she explained that Hades didnt dare go near Hecate's chambers. Was he afraid of Hecate? he didnt seem like the time to shy away from anyone in what he considered to be HIS domain.::

a simple incantation, more of a utility spell.

:: as Delilah began to open her wormhole, Alison felt the light flowing around her. this was one of Delilah's more unusual powers, the fact that she could manifest a smaller version of a cosmic phenomena...it suggested that she had more power at her disposal than a person might give her credit for.::

I can cast this spell while we are in transit.

:: as Delilah called for everyone to prepare to enter the wormhole, Alison held the parchment paper and began to recit the incantation.::

grant all those within my sight the gift of tongues and understanding

:: a rushing sound is heard as swirling , glowing white orbs flows around the heads of each member of the team, allowing them now to have instant and total understanding of the language of the time that they were in. they would be able to hear, understand and speak it with total clarity and fluency. the spell had a 48 hour time period but they wouldnt be there that long....hopefully anyway::

:: with that, Alison stepped forward, walking into the wormhole. it was like walking into a tunnel of spectral light. there was a din of power that flowed around her and a coolness in the air as she was suddenly swept along at lightspeed through the wormhole from the underworld to the surface.::

SLAPPED. AGAIN! And yelled at some more... by both Ava and Delilah, as Alison wisely removed herself from the room. Nicolas mentioned Hades and that they needed to get moving, Delilah created a wormhole. Haleigh was still calmly sitting on the sofa.

"You know what? Ya'll are ALL bitches. You want ME to stop, yet you alternate taking shots at me. YEAH... that's FLAWLESS logic."

Still, Delilah's efforts seemed to have some kind of effect, as Haleigh pulled herself together and joined the others in the wormhole. Haleigh gave Delilah a pat on the back. Well, coming from Haleigh's strength, it was a little more jarring than usual.

"Big fucking ass whoop? [chuckles disbelievingly] Funny."

She didnt SEEM mad... in fact, she acted like none of it had happened.... but with Haleigh, it was hard to tell. Did she just drop it because Hades was near and they had to move... or, like Alison suggested, did she internalize it with the intention of blowing up at them later?

[ Delilah started as she felt a "pat on the back" that probably could have knocked the wind out of a small child. Haleigh was acting like her "normal" self, or perhaps more accurately, her "nice" self. She was Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde-ing them again. Maybe she was bi-polar. Delilah shook the thoughts from her head and walked with Haleigh towards the wormhole. She crossed her right leg behind her and used it to playfully kick Haleigh in the behind. With a nod, she said, ]

"Big fucking ass. Right on."

[ She waved her hand with a flourish, motioning for Haleigh to go ahead of her. ]

"After you, my lady."

[ Mocking the formality that Ava had instructed them to use in this time period. As quickly as Haleigh had switched back to niceties, so did Delilah. Holding a grudge was going to get them nowhere. And although Haleigh enfuriated her sometimes - okay, often - it wasn't that she disliked her. She was just so...so...damn annoying sometimes!

She waiting for the others to go through, then walked through the tunnel herself. As they reached the other side, with a snap of her fingers, the tunnel disappeared, leaving them on the surface. ]

:: Hearing Nicolas' telepathic warning, Delilah immediately opened the wormhole and everyone entered. Moments later the entire group appeared on the surface. But they weren't just anywhere, they were now at the gates of Mount Olympus. The mountain itself looked to be carved into the shape of a castle. Balconys, pillars, archways, ect.
