Ok, two notes...
First of all, that is the weirdest line-up of hosts for an award show. And why do there have to be so many? Every other award show has one, at the most two. They have four? An old singer, the insignificant daughter of an old singer, an average actor turned below average rapper, and Fantasia? Come on, now. This has GOT to be a joke.
And Usher for Entertainer of the Year, I can understand. But Ciara? So putting out two songs in a year makes you Entertainer of the Year? One which was a smash hit and the other which was an ok hit...and you're entertainer of the year? If I was Usher I'd be insulted to be up for this award with such a mediocre artist.
I'll watch the Ghetto Train...err, I mean Soul Train Awards this year if for nothing else for pure comedy.

i dont know how impressed i was. i mean how many times can usher be honored for an album that is WELL OVER a year old now? yes it was fantastic..yes it was a smash...and yes it has spawned yet ANOTHER single (although its only a moderate hit by comparison to the other singles from the album). I've about had my fill of Usher.
Ciara's mere nomination "entertainer of the year" is about as ridiculous as well Ashanti was awarded the "Aretha Franklin Lady of Soul" award several years back. THAT (The Ashanti bit) was OUTRAGEOUS!!! and in regards to Ciara...."goodies" was a moderate hit imo...it was a song whose baseline, and beat were basically a sample retread of Usher's "Yeah" and Petey Pablo's "Freak a leak" :rolleyes" it wasnt even that danceable to me. and "1, 2 step" wasnt that grand to me either...but what do i know? lol.
