Paris Hilton!?!? WTF! Is her IQ high enough to be in the movies? I know it doesn't take much, but c'mon... It's Paris Hilton. This movie looks nothing like the original so the classic fans may be disappointed....

i believe there was an "original" version of this movie made back in the 80's? with a bunch of teens going to the wax museum....and yes some of the wax figures were actually corpses and some of them were evil spirits trapped in the wax figures?
it was more of a sci fi/fantasy/horror hybrid...but by todays standards it would seem campy and i blieve one of the characters was named "Chyna".
I remember hearing that Paris Hilton would be in this remake....but i didnt think anything of it. Supposedly, the director of this movie commented that working with Paris wasnt as "nightmarish" as many people expected it to be.
i hate to say it...but im intrigued by this movie. :o

I saw the previews for it tonight while I went to go see Constantine and it actually looks like your good old fashion horror movie, and from what I see of Paris, she doesn't look that bad in it, I mean can't you just picture her being the one that is like running from the Killer? "OH GOD!?! What do you want!?!?!"
I think it works lol...

give me a break! LOL im sure she wont be the heroine of this movie....she'll probably be the one to "get it" ala' Drew Barrymore in Scream....the first 15 minutes of the film. one can only hope eh?

I never said she would be the heroine, I just said I can totally picture her in a Scary Movie, and YES I see her getting killed as well as most of the rest of the cast of this movie.. But I am saying it wasn't THAT bad casting and it will draw people to the movie.

Yea, I hope she gets killed in the beginning of the movie... hehe.
But actually the original one I was referring to was made in 1953, Vincent Price is gonna be halla hard to beat!

hmm...i wonder what the one i saw was? it was made in the 80's ..and i couldve sworn it was also called "House of Wax".
i agree that this remake will be hard pressed to beat the Vincent Price classic.
Just like "The house on haunted hill". I LOVED the remake with Taye Diggs and Famke Jenson, it was full of wonderful effects and true gore BUT the original was far more clever and suspensfull..and even though the "effects" are rudimentary by today's standards...i still found myself a bit unsettled by the creepy woman who "glided" across the floor past the frightened young girl.

There is no way this remake is going to beat Vincent Price but it does look like a good classic horror movie. As long as Paris Hilton dies it doesn't bother me too much. Besides CMM and Jared Padelecki (Gilmore Girls) in a movie together. HOT!
As for HoHH I love the remake (in fact it's one of my fave movies) but I thought the original was kind of campy. I remember there literally being animatronic (sp) skeletons and stuff. I just don't think it was as good as some of his other movies.
