<< one problem ends, MORE rush in to fill its place. Even as it seemed that justice for Sharon Kelly was FINALLY achieved and it seemed that Stavros Cassadine would pay for his criminal ways...things went from bad to worse. Stavros, somehow freed from a maximum security holding facility, came to ILLUSTRA and attempted to attack Alycia in an act of revenge. Alycia defended herself and sent the man falling to his death. In one act...things changed and the dynamic of The Six is now strained AGAIN as one of their own pulls a shocking and unreasonable stunt at the most INOPPORTUNE times.>>
<< we return to Illustra, on the 99th floor where Spellbinder, MorningStar and Rampage are united against Black Widow's attempt to black mail Alycia and jeopardize not only HER life...but their lives as well.>>
<< it is a situation that shows no signs of easy resolution as Alycia just just revealed the "change" that Alison had forseen..she is to gain a position of considerable power in the U.S. Government and if Haleigh doesnt back down...Alycia will make SURE the woman regrets it. >>

Nicolas steps between the two women, facing Haleigh. At this point he has No faith in Haleigh and what she might try to do to Alycia.
"You don't get it, do you? You have NO SWAY HERE. Alycia will walk in this situation no matter what you do to the tapes, and pushing this further will do nothing for you. You have pulled enough power plays that you should realize that this one is not working. Release the tapes or do not release the tapes, it matters not to me. But it will matter much to YOU."
Nicolas stays between the two women, ready for anything. He does not want to fight Haleigh, but he doesn't trust what she might do to Alycia. He contacts Delilah via telepahy.
Would she PHYSICALLY harm Alycia? We may need to evacuate her from this room...

:: Guardian looked sharply at Haleigh and her cobalt blue eyes conveyed nothing but disapproval.::
:: Morgan and Delilah had a go at her first, Morgan making it known that the tapes WOULD be released whether Haleigh cooperated or not, Rampage spoke as well. It was a united front, but it was unfortunate that it was against one of their own.::
enough of this...let my powers as a SEER convey what HALEIGH seeks to try to hold as a bargaining chip!
:: Alison thrusts her hand forward and waves it in a circle. a stream of dark orbs flows around quickly as a scrying pool shimmers into view.::
:: the exact events of the confrontation between Stavros and Alycia play out in full sound and vision. from the moment Alycia came into the office and Stavros revealed himself, their conversation, his DELIGHTING in Sharon's death and vowing to kill Alycia, her backing away and telling him to stay back and the moment where he ATTACKS her and she slams the golf club into his head and sends him crashing out of the window and down to his death, the last image is that of Alycia standing at the now shattered portion of the panoramic window, the wind blowing her raven locks back as she looks down in shock and horror.::
There is no doubt of the truth to Alycia's story. The bottom line is that Stavros was a FEDERAL FUGITIVE who was tresspassing AND attacked an agent of the court.
Haleigh, what you're doing is both foolish and short sighted. This is NOT the time to try to exact some misguided "revenge."
Your sister isnt dead, she REALIZED to preserve her own life she had to pass through the seige perilous and that is what she did. so this talk of Alycia's "murdering rampage" is NONSENSE. She did what was NECESSARY and instead of trying to ruin Alycia's life or jeopardize OURS, you SHOULD be looking to PERSEPHONE. The Seige gave her Ava's emotions, a portion of her personality...she is intended to be YOUR LINK to Ava in this world as well as cementing her own transition from her world into ours. You are VERY MUCH distracted from what MATTERS and this moment prooves it.
What you're doing threatens OUR LIVES and that is not an attempt to "appeal" to you. that is a FACT. It is YOU who will facilitate Alycia turning against US and YOUR actions that will pave the way for her to ALLOW our secret to become publicly known...to endanger our lives and our freedom. Alycia's relationship with the six is going to change EITHER WAY due to the position she is being appointed to by the president of the united states. It will give her a wide range of legal and political powers...a position that can either HELP US strike out at foes while maintaining our anonymity and our freedom OR a position that will allow her to send the full weight of this government down on US and other mutants, meta humans and witches.
the most PROBABLE time thread does NOT show Alycia betraying us. it is not within her heart to hurt those of us she cares for..but YOU are a different matter all together. WHY you have chosen to do this...I am not quite clear on....
:: standing along side Alycia::
BUT...As the second in command of The Six, i firmly back Morgan. you WILL release those tapes or we will TAKE THEM and if you try to harm Alycia..we will STOP you.
What you're doing now..is intolerable and there's NO justification.
:: turning to look out of the window::
Morgan, we're going to have to make a descision. Nicolas delayed the EMS and other officials from converging on Illustra's office park, but they're coming again.

Haleigh's eyes flashed anger... if Alycia wanted to play the blame game... well so could Haleigh.
"Alright, FINE... i dropped the ball... but dont let your memory get selective, honey. YOU were the one who watched Sharon slip RIGHT through your arms... YOU'RE the one who was THERE when she got hurt... and you DID NOTHING! In FACT... if I remember correctly, that's a statement that can sum up your WHOLE INVOLVEMENT that night.... you stood around with your head UP YOUR ASS while we BUSTED ours trying to STOP that mechanical titan! YOU held her tight... and YOU let her die, right in your very arms.... HELPLESS to save her! AT LEAST I DID SOMETHING WORTH MENTIONING THAT NIGHT!!!"
Nicolas stepped in, putting himself between her and Alycia... not a very wise choice, but Haleigh had the clarity of thought to realize he was probably worried about her HURTING Alycia... so she didn't attack him.
"GET OUT OF MY WAY, Boy.... why don't you go LICK MORGAN'S ASS or something?"
She said, sidestepping him to get an interrupted view of Alycia again, who'd now explained away her tyraid in Greece with US government backing.
"OH HORSESHIT! You know DAMN WELL that wasn't the reason YOU WENT, Alycia.... why don't you tell the REST of the group what YOU TOLD ME about your agenda.... i think you remember.... you know.... the part about wanting to DESTROY MY FAMILY..."
Alison cut in and Haleigh turned a glare on her.... she'd already HEARD it all before and she was tired of being cut off.... and while she couldn't ARGUE with the seer... she still responded.... albeit... more sharply than she should have. "just SHUT UP.... you STAY OUT OF THIS, ALISON!"
It was all she could say to her, really.... as alison was undeniably RIGHT. Alycia went on to threaten Haleigh with legal action... but Haleigh didn't seem affected.... She didn't much care. She clapped her hands together and gave a witty smile....
"Oh? What are you going to do.... throw me in jail? FINE... I'd dont give a FLYING FUCK what you do.... GO AHEAD.... do your very worst.... but there you go again... trying to use you LEGAL POWERS for PERSONAL GAIN. the mark of PURE EVIL. you don't DESERVE that chair on the committee. you don't deserve to attach your name to the GOOD we do.... I used to think you were the greatest lawyer... and one of the greatest women in the WORLD.... but now... you DISGUST me. You.... EMBARASS me. It should have been YOU in Sharon's place. You know what.... I'll get my OWN lawyer to keep my name out of the papers.... Here's your goddamn tape.... stay AWAY from me."
Haleigh said, tossing a VHS tape at Alycia and turning on her heel, shaking her head and stalking out the door... She was entirely fed up.... and whats more... she felt her anger growing and growing and KNEW that if she stayed much longer things might come to blows.... and so instead.... she took off in the same direction Persephone had gone.... in need of 'fresh air' as well, it seemed.

Nicolas watched Haleigh closely as she continued her tirade. He heard the expected swipe at him and Morgan, bristling but continuing to stay outwardly calm. As Alison displayed the night's events, he knew that she realized that her ploy was not going to work. She screamed more venom at Alycia, then threw a VHS tape at her. Nicolas deflty intercepted the tape and watched Haleigh storm out. He "looked" around and noticing a TVw/VCR/DVD in a cabinet panel, he placed the tape inside to see what was on it. He wasn't sure IF Haleigh had the power to doctor it, but he wanted to make sure she hadn't. While he placed the tape in, he used his TK to keep track of her movemebts, in case she would need to be retrieved.
"Let's make sure we have what we need."
Nicolas turned the VCR on and pressed play...

<< Morgan continued to stand square shouldered, ready to take the tape by FORCE if necessary as well as to protect Alycia. She couldnt fathom WHY Haleigh had done this...it made no sense! Stavros meant nothing to her..at least that's what she told THEM when her secret first came out before their journey to Greece and then there was Persephone, the woman was acting very erratic. her behavior suggested she was struggling internally and she had departed the office on the 99th floor abruptly.>>
<< as things continued to escalate, Alycia stood up to defend herself and dropped the bombshell of her position in the government, pending her officially accepting the president's offer. Morgan KNEW this would change their friendship's dynamic..it was to be expected but as Alison pointed out, Haleigh's actions tonight spell disaster for them all later.>>
<< Morgan watched as Alison used her powers as a Seer to relay the events of Alycia's story...it happened as Alycia described. Morgan hadn't doubted her friend in the slightest but HALEIGH was attempting to damage her credibility and again, it totally confused Morgan.>>
<< as Nicolas stood between Alycia and Haleigh, Haleigh lashed out at Nicolas, then Alison and Alycia again. The remark against Nicolas and Morgan was totally tasteless and insulting, her abruptness with Alison, someone who had been the most objective in this discussion was uncalled for...and her cruel remarks to Alycia about SHARON....wel that was the last straw>>
You're OUT OF ORDER, DAVIDOFF! CLOSE YOUR DAMN MOUTH!
<< Morgan was about to demand she leave the area, but Haleigh took that action on her own...but not before hurling the tape at Alycia. Nicolas caught it and Morgan watched to make SURE that Haleigh left.>>
Alison, keep an "eye" on her. IF it even appears that she is doing something she shouldnt...i want her access to Illustra's control panel REMOVED and we will just have to depend on magick to protect Illustra.
<< as Nicolas put in the tape to review it for integrity, Morgan looked up and ran her hands through her blonde, double highlighted hair.>>
<<sigh>> What the hell just happened here!?
Alycia killing Stavros is one thing. I honestly dont even CARE about that...but Haleigh and Persephone...they are acting like ...i dont know..like they are STUCK ON STUPID! I would expect this ridiculous behavior from someone like BLAZE...but not Haleigh.
What the hell is wrong with those two? Alison, Nicolas...can either of you detect any kind of abnormaility? possession or mental malfunction?
<< as the tape plays, it relays the footage and audio of the confrontation and attack.>>
the tape is in tact. Make a copy of it. Delilah, place that in a protective casing and get that to the police A.S.A.P. Nicolas, stay with Alycia at all times for now.
meanwhile, i'll see to getting the physical integrity of Alycia's office restored

Would she PHYSICALLY harm Alycia? We may need to evacuate her from this room...
[ As Nicolas spoke telepathically to her, she responded immediately. ]
No, no, she wouldn't go that far. Of course not.
[ But after she "said" it, she realized she had doubts. Guardian had her say and replayed the events before they had all arrived, prooving that Alycia had acted in self defense. Haleigh continued her own "rampage" and stormed out.
What was going on with Haleigh? She had always been the proud, slightly holier than though member of the Six that Delilah had to work really hard to not claw her eyes out. But even so - this behavior was not like her. And at the same time, it didn't seem that she was under a spell, or a drug, or mind control or any of the others things she had come to expect with the Six. Delilah began to think Haleigh really had lost her mind.
She wanted to help her...but she honestly thought the more she tried to talk to Haleigh the more insults would be thrown back at her. Haleigh wasn't in a place to believe that anyone was not against her. And right at this moment, they had to forget about Haleigh and deal with the most pressing issue facing them. ]

As the tape played the scene as Alycia relayed it. Nicolas rewound it to the beginning of the attack and handed it to Delilah for copying and delivery. As Morgan asked whether there was any sign of mental possesion or impairment, Nicolas scanned for any. He responded to her.
"With Persephone, I am getting a feedback that I am thinking comes from what happened to her with the Siege Perilous. On one level she seems OK, but there are other, conflicting feelings that I think are attributable to the Ava part of her. As for Haleigh, I sense only anger at Alycia. No possession."
He the moved closer to Alycia, speaking to her.
"Are you going to be all right? We cannot leave yet of course, but I can have anything you like brought here, one way or another. I will try o get this situation to be as short as possible, maybe have you give a statement tomorrow. The tape should serve as proof enough of what happened for now."
Nicolas turned back to Morgan and Delilah.
"No need to deliver the tape or clean up the mess, The police are coming and will be here in MOMENTS. I can mentally usher them here and speed up this process but the cat is out of the proverbial bag.To do otherwise would require more...forceful mental persuasion. It is probably best to just let them do their thing quickly, then clean up later..."

A Few Days Ago - London, England
He was stalking his victim like an owl stalks his prey at night. The crisp and cold air of London creeped around every corner and alleyway, causing anyone who was alone on the streets to tremble with fear and the feeling that they were not alone. This was the kind of night that Ethan Spencer loved to do his work. He had been trailing his hit for a few days now. A prominent businessman in London who had been embezzeling funds from a false charity he had created to support his secret passion in the weapons trade among other things. The purchaser was an angry and rich investor in the charity who wanted to make sure they got their money's worth. Ethan found it funny how people delegated in right and wrong. Here he was about to kill a man who was a criminal and he was hired by a mostly charitable man who now sought out death as a revenge. How funny his money could be swayed either way, to have people live or die. Money made the world go round and that was the philosophy Ethan lived by. People determined morals by how much money they could afford to get people to do what they wanted. Lost in his thoughts, Ethan almost forgot about his hit altogether, until he saw the man step out of a hole in the wall strip club and out into the foggy night air. Ethan was on him in an instant but completely unviewable to anyone who might have been watching. The man turned into an alley so as to make sure nobody would be tracking his whereabouts. Unfortunately for him, somebody already in fact was. Making his way further down the alley a chill of the cold night air went rushing past him as he turned around, leaving only a flashing street light for comfort from the eery scene.
Man: Is anybody out there? Hello...
Ethan was standing right in front of him but of course, the man couldn't see him due to Ethan's ability to turn invisible at will. Cracking a smile he walked right up to the man and breathed into his ear, causing chills to run up and down his spine. He trembled with fear as Ethan walked behind him and delivered a crushing KICK to the his lower back, sending him flying into the brick wall of the alley. Clammering to his feet, he got up and adjusted his glasses, looking around at whatever could have thrown him against the wall.
Man: (voice trembling) Who is there! I know somebody's here!!! Come out! You can have all my money! I only have my wallet on me.
Now, it was time for the kill. Ethan was in front of the man in a blink of an eye, talking in a cold and even tone, still without making himself known. His words were cruel and vicious but they were no doubt the truth.
"You steal from the poor and give to the rich.. Tell me, do you ever feel bad snorting up the cocaine you buy with the money that is supposed to keep orphaned children clean and out of harm's way, or do you get off on it.. You're a bad man Richard.. and people want you dead.. did you KNOW that?"
The man starting crying tears not so much of remorse but of terror
Man: I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I will give you anything! Who are you! Where are you!? Oh GOD!!"
Ethan cracked a smile. It was funny to see what man would do when faced with death. They always were apologetic and forgiving, thinking that whatever they did in the past could be taken away by the few words they uttered before pissing their pants. Appearing in front of the man like a ghost, Ethan took away the smile that was once on his face and replaced it with stone cold anger.
"Too late Richard.. you're time is up.. Somebody's paid me a pretty penny to end your life, and unlike with YOU, they will get EXACTLY what they paid for. Say goodnight.."
Lifting the man up the brick wall by his neck, Ethan continued to strangle him, all the while looking him dead in the eyes. He watched as the man lost all color in his face and his eyes began to roll into the back of his head, a part of Ethan craved the kill. As the body stopped fighting off his strength and became motionless, Ethan let him fall to the ground as he dusted his hands off and came out of the alley, pulling his foot lengthed leather jacket closer to his body. As he walked down the street, he received a call on his cell phone. Calmly he pulled it out of his jacket and answered with his thick British accent
"Maverick... Yes, I got the files.. I will be headed to New York soon. That is a high yielding paycheck for the head of an attorney. Are you sure she is worth it? I fly out this morning... yeah..."
Closing the phone and putting it into his pocket he headed back to his penthouse apartment where he began to pack his things to head for New York. Before leaving the apartment, he passed a picture by his door of a young man, smiling on a beach, happy as could be. Ethan's strong demeanor softened as he picked up the picture and kissed the frame.
"I won't be gone long Drew... a few days at the most.. I love you..."
He put the picture down and headed out the door. It was early morning in London and he only had a few hours before his nonstop flight to New York left. As he reached the streets, he hailed a taxi cab and made his way to the airport, thinking about Alycia Barnett and just why somebody would want her dead.

:: Alycia locked eyes with Haleigh again, not showing any fear, not backing down even as the woman berated her again. Nicolas stepped between them and even Alycia felt his immense size was "getting in the way" of her confrontation. SHE KNEW that if Haleigh was stupid enough to attack her then Morgan, Alison and Delilah would stop her in her tracks.::
Haleigh, you're a joke. Always playing the big tough bad ass when you're nothing more than a scared little girl who DESPERATELY hides behind the facade of strength and cunning.
this caper in Greece...it prooved how scared you were. You werent concerned about Sharon, you werent concerned about striking another blow to MysTech. All you wanted to do was protect your pathetic SECRET...as if I couldnt have found out one way or another? Your sister WAS fair game she interefered with government business and had she been killed, it would have been JUSTIFIED. Agree with it or not..thats the way it is.
:: as Haleigh hit below the bet with Sharon, Alycia glared at her.::
You speak of someone being sick and disgusting? take a look in the MIRROR. You've lived your whole LIFE deceiving people, killing, defrauding, and more. The night that Sharon died...where were YOU when it all began? MORGAN was the only one there trying to help us. I was unconscious...and there was nothing I could do... where were YOU when MORGAN was desperately trying to help us? YOU who claimed to offer "the best" in protection? Maybe if YOU had been there from the start, Sharon could have LIVED but it doesn't matter now...I've BUSTED UP youre family...the people who played a major role in Master Mold's creation and that's all there is to it.
If you DARE to black mail me or interfere in my affairs, i'll do MORE than have you hauled to prison..I'll have you TAKEN APART by the department of superhuman affairs like the runaway vacuum cleaner that you ARE!
:: Alison spoke up and Haleigh lashed out at HER as well as Nicolas before throwing the tape at Alycia. Nicolas caught it.::
and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out..BITCH!
:: as the worst of that confrontation ended, Alycia leaned back on her desk and put her hand to her forehead.::
I swar to god..I'm going to nail her to the wall and show her what it means to get a "lesson in humility".
:: more than a threat..it was a VOW and it was something that would not soon be forgotten.:
:: Morgan gave out instructions and Nicolas asked her if there was anything she needed.::
Just, take me to some guest quarters. I'd rather go to my own loft in central park west but since Alison feels that's a bad idea, i'd just like to go somewhere and cool out.
:: Nicolas spoke about her making a statement::
I know the drill. Remember I've been doing this for a while now.
:: she turned to Morgan, Alison and Delilah.::
I'll want to see the three of you later...when the time is right. There's some things I need to tell you.
:: Alycia was finally getting her mental state back and order, as she shook her head and went into the lounge area of her office suite.::

<< Listening to Nicolas, Spellbinder nodded.>>
there's no time to waste.
Alison, make it look as though NO ONE has been here but Alycia and Stavros. we want to make ourselves scarce . After that, go up to the control room floor and make sure the security systems of this building are not malfunctioning.
Alycia, as you're now apparently a federal agent, I'll need you to stay with me to talk to the police and since i'm the owner of this property, the police will be expecting me to have responded to the alarm. i will wait for them down on the ground floor in the crystaline lobby...WITH THE TAPE. I will have Alycia with me and once they recognize her and see what has happened, they will no doubt close the investigation before it even starts. Delilah, i want you there too but out of sight...just listen to everything that's going on so we can make sure this is all on the up and up.
Nicolas, if you would please prepare the guest quarters for Alycia, stay there until we get back and make sure there's nothing unusual going on. Alison said that Stavros had HELP getting into this building...and i dont want any surprises.
<< with that, Morgan, Delilah and Alycia leave for the main floor of Illustra, WITH the tape in their posession to meet with the police. Alison begins to repair the damage in office and makes sure the building appears to be in "after hours" mode so as not to suggest the six actually live there on the private residential floors...and Rampage goes to secure the guest quarters for Alycia.>>
<< the police are converging on Illustra just as Morgan arrives, appropriately dressed and with a look of "surprise and concern" on her face.>>
<< whispering to Alycia and Delilah>>
Let's get this overwith.

[ Delilah rode down to Illustra's main floor in silence, still shocked at Haleigh's behavior. She did believe that Alycia going off on her own to Greece had been the wrong thing to do...but there were some lines you didn't cross for personal reasons. And Haleigh had crossed them.
As they got out of the elevator and Morgan spoke, she stopped to have a word with them before going on. ]
"Now Alycia, you know this, but don't offer any more information than they ask for. Just answer their questions. Short and sweet."
[ She gave them both a reassuring smile before taking her place in a side vestibule, out of sight of the police but where she - with her enhanced eyesight and hearing - had a front row seat for what was to happen next. ]

Haleigh burst through the front door, slamming it behind her in a storm of fury. Zach stood out on the balcony, leaning over, but he turned quickly at the noise to spot Haleigh, who looked flushed and depleted. She put another cigarrette in her mouth and lifted the lighter up to it, but her hand shook so badly that she tossed it vehemently to her left, grabbing the cigarrette out from between her lips and throwing it to the ground at her feet angrily, and she held her hands tightly as if to stop them from shaking. Zach came in from the balcony, distracted at first, before finally looking worried at Haleigh's state.
"Haleigh.... what's going on? There are police lights outside... and somebody sprawled in pool of blood so big i can see it from up here.... what happened? [moving closer and getting a full look at her] Haleigh? Are you okay?"
Haleigh looked up at him, bewildered... she obviously wasn't. "Compared to WHAT??" She asked, blinking several times and looking close to apoplectic.
Z:"What's wrong? What happened?"
Haleigh looked around as if to get her bearings.... as if she felt like a stranger in this apartment. "Alycia.... killed Stavros.... I was the first to respond.... and I let her have it.... even with the others there... I... I think I blackmailed her... and I put out my cigarrette on her desk.... right NEXT to the $50 glass ash tray she has out for her clients... and i... I don't know what came over me... it was just like... I had NO self control whatsoever... NO reservations.... everything I felt just... it just FELL OUT OF MY MOUTH... and I DONT REGRET ANY OF IT... I..." Haleigh was breathing heavily... and near tears. She rubbed her eyes and staggered forward into his arms, shaking her head. "This place... its CRAZY... this is NOT an environment that is CONDUCIVE to sanity! I.... i think i'm going CRAZY.... I... can't DO this anymore Zach... every TIME I turn around some one ELSE is dying on me... and I can't... I have to get OUT of here!"
Zach pulled her into a tight hug, as she buried her face in his chest with a sob. He held her silently for moment... and then tried to talk her down from the ledge. "Haleigh.... you know you can't do that. You TRIED that once, remember? This PLACE... these PEOPLE... this CAUSE... it's ll you care about... and you'll just come BACK... because... you really aren't very good at running away."
Haleigh laughed between tears... what he said was TRUE. "Zach...." She said weakly... "I don't think I can STAY..."

:: After leaving suddenly from Alycia's office, Persephone made her way up to the roof of Illustra. Standing on the edge of the building, she looked down to the streets below, her advanced vision giving her a front row 'seat' of everything that was happening. Wind blew violently around the high rise building, sending her locks of brunette hair twisting around her body and face. Even at the top of the building, Persephone could hear the sirens wailing as more cops arrived and entered Illustra's lobby. The entire scene was something out of a movie...something Persephone would have normally enjoyed. But right now, she wanted it all to stop. ::
:: Struggling with these unusual emotions was something the goddess wasn't used to. She was extremely reserved, calm, and collected. She thought out situations logically and didn't act on impulse or emotions. But ever since her trip through the SP, it seemed that she had an entire other personality within her that she needed to learn to control. Almost like a split personality of sorts. She just wanted everything to go back to normal, to be "sane" again. Persephone literally felt like she was going out of her mind. ::
:: Appearing in a cacoon of ash, Ares (http://www.nicewallpapers.info/pics/men/brad_pitt/brad_pitt_002.jpg) stood a few yards away, staring at Persephone near the edge of the building. Regardless of Rampage's attempts, breaking news stories were coming on the television left and right about Stavros' murder. Something that Ares knew Persephone could care less about...but that Ava would be having a very difficult time dealing with. ::
Ares: "Are you alright.."
:: Turning her head to look over her shoulder, Persephone watched as Ares slowly made his way toward her. Turning away, she shook her head looking into the distance. ::
"What are you doing here."
:: Her voice even and cold, she felt him stop by her side but didn't look to him. ::
Ares: "I know what happened to Stavros--"
"And that gives you an invitation to come here and harrass me?"
:: Cutting him off in mid sentence, Persephone snapped coldly at Ares, before looking back down at the scene below. Ares too, looked back down at the scene before turning his attention back to Persephone. ::
Ares: "Persephone....I know you're hurting."
"No. I'm not."
Ares: "Seph..."
:: Reaching out to touch her forearm, Persephone quickly whipped it away, stepping back away from Ares. ::
"Don't touch me! You...You don't know what i'm going through, okay?! I don't even know what i'm going through! I have all these emotions building inside me that I have never felt before. Emotions that makes me feel small and inferior and weak! About a man that I don't even know! About a situation I shouldn't care about! But I do! I feel these feelings. I care about this situation. And I want it to stop! I want it--I want it to stop.."
:: As her voice cracked, an indication that she was on the verge of tears, Persephone tensed her jaw and looked away from Ares with a stern expression on her face. She would not cry. She refused to. She just needed to calm down and put herself back into check. ::
:: Ares wasn't a sympathetic man. In fact he was the complete opposite. But behind his male ego and pride, he had always hada soft spot for Persephone. And seeing her on the verge of loosing control for the first time since he had known her, further prooved how lost she felt right now. Moving forward, he placed his hand on her bicept, feeling her muscles tense and her body instinctively move back. ::
Ares: "Hey...hey, it's okay."
:: Gently pulling her toward him, Persephone closed her eyes finally allowing him to 'help' her. Feeling his strong arms wrap around her thin frame, she rested her head on his chest, inhaling a few deep breaths. For the first time since this entire ordeal, Persephone finally felt a bit of calmness within the raging storm. ::

:: down the elevator, Delilah offered some last minute encouragement. Alycia sighed and smiled a bit as she looked at Delilah.::
thank you, Delilah.
:: she straightened her blazer a bit...as they exited the elevator now on the main floor of Illustra and walking through the dark crystaline lobby. Morgan carried the tape and put on a look of "concern and displeasure and Alycia allowed herself to feel the remnants of the uncertainty and dismay she felt from the moment this first happened.::
I can't believe this happened! I wanted him to pay...i had my own thoughts of his death but i ...i didnt think THIS would happen!
:: the lights of the police and emergency vehicals shinned into the lobby as the two women slowly walked forward. police were already requesting access. I killed him!

<< and so it went, Morgan opened the doors to Illustra and greeted the police with an agitated presentation. they in turn asked her what had taken place here. The sorceress played it off as if she had arrived only moments ago and just discovered the damage in Alycia's office and retrieved the security tape.>>
<< the officer went on to question Alycia, but was carefull with his tone once he saw her badge and realized who she was as well as who the dead man in the office park was.>>
<< homicide detectives were on the scene, and asked to see the office where the "accident" took place. Morgan obliged but berated the detectives officers for being "incompetent" enough to allow a federal fugitive to break into Illustra, let alone get that close to Alycia, the detectives were presented with the evidence that would completely clear Alycia of any wrong doing. Back down on the main floor and out on the grounds of the office park, the body of Stavros was collected and Illustra's office park was roped off as a police area. The detectives were more than a little offput by the bitchy, prima donna attitude of the super model and Alycia seemed very much shook up, but that was to be expected. all the while, Delilah trailed behind...carefully hidden out of sight, listening to the tense proceedings.>>
<< Morgan DEMANDED that this be taken care of before Illustra's business day tomorrow so that clients and employees would not have to see this first hand and the detectives assured Morgan that this would probably end quickly.
After asking bothe Morgan and Alycia to remain available over the next 24 hours until the tape could be reviewed, the detectives left and soon, the police and other officials left the scene as well.>>
<< back on the main floor, Morgan and Alycia stood and watched as the police left...the sirens fading in the distance. Stavros' body was gone..that was a portion of the problem solved.>>
<< Illustra was quiet on most of its 107 floors...with Persephone on the roof and Haleigh in her suite on the 105th floor. but the internal strife among the team was far from over.>>

After receiving his orders from Morgan, Niicolas came up here to get the guest quarters of his suite ready, To him this would be the best place to keep her for a while. There was nothing that happened in his suite of which he was unaware. He constantly used part of his mind to scan it both telepathically and telekinetically. Even Morgan and Alison did not travel so as to not trip off EITHER. At least not YET. He smiled to himself.
Is there ANYTHING these ladies cannot do?
Then he frowned grimly.
The biggest threat to Alycia may still be in the building...
He made sure that the guest area was suitable and simply waited until he "saw" that the police were finished with their investigation. He then teleported back to Morgan and Alycia. Reaching out smoothly to both women, Nicolas spoke in a calm, reassuring voice. He realized that the night had been quite trying and he was hoping to make them feel better.
"Ladies!! I have my guest quarters prepared for you, Alycia, and I was hoping you two would accompany me. There is something that I wanted you BOTH to see."

Ethan stared out of the window in his top floor hotel suite at the famous Parthenon Hotel in New York City. He sighed, desperately missing his home in London. This was a cheaper and much dirtier version of the place he called home. In the distance he could see the towering building of Illustra as he turned his thoughts back at the task at hand. Going over to his bed, he looked over his bed where he had a cornucopia of files and pictures on everything he could dig up about Alycia and even the Six. He picked up the files and went over them in his head.
"I don't get it. These people. They all live in Illustra, and it appears to be covered up, as if they dont want people to know that these people live in the building. Still, it appears that each of these people have a case file that Alycia has handled, they are all connected in someway and she seems to be protecting them. They all have what appear to be aliases of some sort.. I found the codenames Black Widow, Spellbinder, Guardian. Haleigh Davidoff looks alot like Samantha Jordan who actually used to be Rebecca Meridian. Now with this murder case against Stavros Cassadine... I need to take care of this..."
He began to think more and more that Alycia and her friends were connected to Mystech somehow. He didn't know if they were working for the organization or against and quite honestly he didn't care. Mystech took away the biggest part of his life and he was not about to be swindled by them again. Ethan wanted those people dead and he wondered the bounty if he took out all of the people staying on the top floor of Illustra. Whatever he decided, he would have to choose fast. Ethan knew that these people protecting Alycia or vice versa were powerful and capable of all the things Ethan was himself. This would be his toughest kill yet.

Alison, have you found anything unusual on the security sensors or equipment?

:: Alison sat at the main wrap around control counsole, looking at the large main view screen, while several other small view screens surrounded the perimete of the main screen.::
:: there were other counsoles and screens and devices elsewhere around the nerve center of the control room as well.::
:: the room was dark, save for the lights from the computers and other devices and Alison moved over the control panel with ease as she navigated the systems.::
:: as Morgan beeped in, Alison didnt stop what she was doing as she replied.::
A security sweep of Illustra from the sub basement to the roof has revealed no unusual or out of place findings of a mechanical or biological nature. the sensors are all online, and seem to be functioning as they should.
It confirms my belief that Stavros Cassadine had HELP of a super human nature to get in. it also has something to do with that elusive presence that i sensed out in the office park...it was as fleeting as quick silver.
Haleigh is in her suite on the 105th floor and Persephone is on the roof. Both women are struggling with emotional disarray but are fine otherwise.
For now, we appear to be fine. As long as Alycia is here, she is safe.
Tomorrow and the days to come...may proove to be not so simple.
I have a personal matter to attend to once I am finished fine tuning the sensors here

:: Alycia stretched and exhaled with relief as those rather dim detectives left. She felt that they should have been a tad more efficient and since it was HER LIFE that was endangered...and Stavros was a federal fugitive, it shouldve been obvious that he deserved to be killed.::
:: she didnt care about what haleigh had said, in her mind, that woman had truly gone mad and was a danger to The Six. She would DEFINATELY be pursuing the option of having Haleigh captured and worse.::
well, that is over. once they realize the SCOPE of this, and who i am, this will be immediately made to "go away". all that posturing that bitch Haleigh did will be for NOTHING.
:: turning to Morgan and Nicolas::
I want you both to understand something...SHE is on my SHIT LIST now and there WILL be reprocussions for what she has done.
:: Nicolas asked them to accompany him and Morgan checked in with Alison who reported that nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. there was still the mystery of how Stavros got in, but that would be dealt with later.::
:: Alycia and Morgan followed Nicolas now.::

Nicolas led the two women up to his suite. He motioned to the guest area.
"Alycia, I hope all is to your liking. I have tried tomake it as accomodsting as possible. My own designing taste may be viewed as a bit...spartan. But here you will be safe, that I promise."
Nicolas apartment was not as luxurious as the others, but it was very nice. One thing that would be noticed was the abundance of plants, especially in the main room and the balcony.
"Ladies, if you will please follow me..."
Nicolas led them to the balcony. At the center was a small dark granite monument, two feet square and four feet high, with a place on the top for a flame. It was lit ans the flame made the inscription glow faintly. The inscription read:
Gustav Magnusson Sharon Kelly
You will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.
Nicolas turned to the two women. He looked at Alycia as he spoke.
"At Cameron's funeral, you led me to Senator Kelly's gravesite. I hope we can return there soon. At that time I told you that I had something to show you, and this is what it was. I wanted a reminder of my father and I had decided that his memory was in fact intertwined to a degree with that of Senator Kelly's, so I made this in their honor. It is something small, but i wanted to share it with you --(looking at Morgan for a moment)--with both of you."
Nicolas was a bit emotional as he spoke of his Father and the Senator. He knew that a lot had happened tonight, but he felt compelled to show them this monument, as it had so much sentimental value to him.

<< this was the first time Morgan had been fully inside of this suite on the 100th floor since ....well LONG since before Prophet had left Illustra. The changes were stark constrast...but the lush foliage around the luxury apartment definately appealed to Morgan. it reminded her of Ororo's lush garden and showed that Nicolas had a softer side to him.>>
Tinkerbell would have a field day munching on these plants.
<< Morgan thought to herself as she smiled a bit. >>
<< Nicolas lead the way out onto the large balcony and there was a beautifull memorial to Nicolas' father and Sharon Kelly. it was not over done...but it conveyed respect to the memory of these two people and there was the eternal flame as well. As Nicolas explained, Morgan nodded and walked up...running her hand over Sharon's inscription.>>
It's beautifull....
<< bowing her head as she remembered Sharon's beautifull smile. her fragile beauty but TOUGH AS NAILS resolve. in this moment, as the wind blew a bit, she forgot about all the ugly encounter that took place a floor below and even the sick, cruel remarks that Haleigh made were now being washed away.>>
Alycia....don't you pay ANY attention to what Haleigh said. She had no right to use Sharon's death as a "weapon" to hurt you....and your friends..your REAL friends know that you did what you could...you faced a HORRIFIC situation with courage that most MILITARY men dont even have.
what happened that night....it can't be blamed on ANYONE...though , as perverse as it sounds, i feel i SHOULD shoulder the blame. Delilah put it in perspective for me right before we left for Greece...and I realize that we all did what we could.....
her memory will live on, the good she did continues and her death was not in vain.
<< looking out over the city>>
MysTech is a SHADOW of what it used to be...and Alycia is on the verge of being able to make sweeping changes from a federal level...Sharon would be PROUD of you Alycia...for taking down Stavros, for not being a AFRAID to bust up one of the most powerfull families connected to Mystech. It's what she would have wanted. So don't let what Haleigh said get to you. I don't know WHAT the hell her problem is...but before this week is over...we WILL find out.

:: Alycia walked through Nicolas' luxury apartment. The decor was hard, strong, masculine but there were soft touches in the right places...the foliage was beautifull and made the place cozy like a retreat. Nicolas showed her to her guest quarters and she nodded.::
I'm sure it'll be fine, Nicolas. I've been to the Cell, and in a BUS while a mega sentinel rampaged through the city, i'm not as weak as i might look compared to your super powered peers.
:: they moved through the spacious dwelling and out to the large balcony and nicolas directed her attention to the monument to Gustav and Sharon.::
you made this?
:: she said softly as the glow of the eternal flame provided a warm feeling over Alycia. she looked over the memorial slowly, to take in all of it. it exuded strength and endurance but there was a feeling of love and respect behind it. This was Nicolas' small personal tribute to his father and the woman whom his father was very close to...the woman who alycia had counted as a close friend and colleague for many years.::
it's beautifull.
:: she too stepped forward, and gently ran her hand over the inscriptions as her own memories of Sharon returned. she closed her eyes...and a tear fell as she began to feel heartache and it seemed Morgan KNEW what was troubling her as the sorceress spoke.::
How could she even GO there, Morgan? That woman...has NO tact or respect. It's just like i TOLD YOU back during the NERVOUS caper! She's a cruel, heartless woman. She always claimed YOU AND ALISON were the ones with no heart...but YOU....you laid your life down to save us all from Master Mold...you tried your best to save Sharon.
:: clenching her fist.::
I cant even REMEMBER that...because I had been rendered unconscious....i awoke in time to be with Sharon in her last moments...and I always thought...
:: her voice shaking...::
that i was doing all that i could!
:: in a moment of weakness she turns to Morgan and Nicolas.::
making sure she didnt pass on...alone...
:: Alycia sat down on a chair on the balcony, just sitting there quietly as the wind whistled in the night air. Morgan spoke to her and encouraged her. and as Alycia settled herself about the pain and guilt over Sharon, that feeling was replaced by a new focus...a new "TARGET"...and her name was Haleigh Davidoff.::
:: even as Alycia found her new target, she was unaware that she HERSELF was now someone ELSE'S target.::

:: with Cameron and Erika dead, along with Kelly King, Alison Marble was the only one in her family left but for years she had already felt like "the only one". The Six FINALLY understood WHY she had seemingly abandonned her family so many years ago and now that this chapter in her life was closed, she felt so relieved, so burden free. It almost made her feel TOO "relaxed" especially considering the current situation.::
:: of course Alison cared about Alycia and would do everything she could to protect her as well as Illustra but Alison couldnt help but be in her own "little world" for the moment.::
:: Haleigh's nasty , rude outburst meant little to Alison. The woman clearly was handling her own exposed nerves very badly and Alison knew it how ironic..they claimed ALISON to be the cold heartless bitch in her family, but she turned out to be the strongest and most honorable. could the same thing be said for Haleigh who not only said things she shouldnt have, but used Sharon's death as a guilt tactic against Alycia...something that didnt make sense since HALEIGH was the one who was supposed to have been protect the both of them right along with the rest of the team.::
:: either way, Alison put that out of her mind as she prepared to leave Illustra for a while. She saw an "anomoly" at the Parthenon. Morgan owned the hotel and Alison was her director of operations. Something had taken root there, something that didnt belong and Alison decided to investigate unaware just yet that what she was sensing was Ethan, a mercenary out to assassinate Alycia on the orders of Stavros Cassadine..::
:: leaving Illustra, Alison BLINKS to the parthenon and appears in the main lobby. it was the 3rd shift and all was quiet and seemingly in order.::
:: choosing to appear business casual, Alison wore a simple ensemble of a black pin stripped suit consisting of slim lined black trousers, and black tailored blazer that revealed firm, ample cleavage, along with black high heels. moving up to the night desk, Alison spoke to the clerk who recognized her immediately::
I would like a print out of all the occupants in this hotel, including celebrity guests and unoccupied rooms. I want the phone records as well.
:: Alison came around to the other side of the desk and into the night auditor's office. seating herself. the clerk quickly carried out her orders and she began to read over the information rather quickly.::
so strange that I would come here...it all feels so alien to me now that Cameron is gone but my perception tells me that something is not right. I will find out who or what it is....and then i will ELIMINATE it
:: Ethan may have thought he was the best there was...but even as he hunted Alycia, HE was now about to become the PREY himself.::

Ethan looked at the security cameras of the Parthenon as he had rigged them up to a remote server that he was uploading from his laptop computer. He was surprised to see someone in the Parthenon that he could have sworn he recognized. Getting off of his bed he grabbed one of the case files and read it out loud.
"Alison King Marble.. Brother to the recently deceased Cameron King, stock broker and real estate mogul... Personal Assistant to Morgan Victoria, President of Illustra Inc. Sister Erika King, said to have dissappeared several months ago from her Newport Beach home in California. Ah.. People seem to dissappear around Miss Marble. She is the Director of Operations at the Parthenon?"
Ethan noted as he was now looking through the employee files of the Hotel, fancying himself to be quite the hacker into systems. Normally he would have killed Alycia already but the amount of security around her and her new high profile status within the government, Ethan was beginning to think that perhaps he was getting in a little too deep even for him. He had destroyed the entire Citadle of Mystech in London, but messing with the United States Government was another issue entirely. Unless of course, Alycia and her friends at Illustra were working for Mystech themselves.
"That must be it.. This has to be a set up..."
He thought for a moment. Getting a call out of the blue to kill an Attorney? The multi million dollar paycheck she had for her head. Stavros Cassadine, the entire Cassadine family? He went back to his days with Mystech as he recalled hearing the Cassadine name once or twice in passing. They built the weapons that made innocent people die. He looked at the camera again. Alison was looking at some papers. She was trying to find him. He was going to have to face off with this woman, whoever she was. He would kill her if he had to.
"I can never get away from these people. One thing is for sure. If Miss Marble thinks I am just going to be hauled back off to Mystech for questioning, she has another thing coming!"

Nicolas noticed the reaction to the monument. He smiled a bit as they admired it.
"I'm glad you like it. I needed SOMETHING...and that is what came up."
Nicolas listened as both women spoke of Haleigh's comments. He nodded his head as he remembered the anger in her face, the feeling that he would have to defend Alycia PHYSICALLY from her. He rubbed her shoulder as he tried to reassure her.
"Alycia, you did all you could. I saw what happened, and you did more than most men that I know, many of which get paid to operate in combat. Let that guilt go, Alison let us know that it was her path. A part of that path is that you get to do GOOD for your country, for the cause she and my father espoused, the eradication of persecution against mutants. She would be very proud of her friend. In fact, somewhere , her spirit IS very proud."
Nicolas moved toward the entrance of the balcony area, regaining hisgood humor, rying to be a pick-me-up for them.
"Ladies, please be my guests. I am a pretty good cook, if I say so myself, and I've got a wok, veggies, some meat for those who eat it, and rice enough to make delicious Oriental dishes for (points to them, then himself) TWO very special women and the host. I promise to pull out all the stops, as I have a famous supermodel/CEO and a high government offcial in attendance. Make yourself at home while I get the goodies going.!!"
Nicolas moves toward Morgan as if to swat away a bug, but quickly whispers in her ear.
"Is it safe for Haleigh to be at Illustra? Would she harm Alycia? The answer to that needs to be found out TONIGHT, don't you think? I will help any way you require.

:: After calming down on the roof of Illustra, Persephone assured Ares that she would be fine. As he left, she made her way down the flights of stairs toward her penthouse. As she made it to her level, she stopped a moment before exiting the stairwell and onto her floor. Looking down the stairs to the 104th floor, Persephone knew if herself and Haleigh were to avoid each other any longer, it could cause a void within the six. Obviously Persephone was unaware of what had just happened... ::

Zach released Haleigh and nodded as she asked him to pour her a drink. She seemed to have gathered herself somewhat, and had stopped shaking, her anger quelling for the moment. She went over to the sofa and sank into it, as Zach tried to get some more answers out of her.
Z: "So... Alycia's pretty mad, you reckon? I mean... about how you responded to the accident?"
Haleigh stared off a little at the painting they'd hung last week, her eyes unfocused. "Oh.... I don't think we'll be getting a Christmas card from her. And the rest of the Six... well... they were none too pleased. Nobody even TRIED to talk to HER about what she was saying... something about having me drawn and quartered, I think... no, they were too busy triple-quadruple teaming ME... not that I can blame them.... I WAS threatening their livelihood. But that's not even an issue anymore... what IS... is that I KNOW Stavros had HELP getting into this building... and past security. I relaxed it after we came back from Greece... figuring that with Mystech all but DISSOLVED, we wouldn't have to be too alarmed. Morgan obviously felt the same... or she would have raised magickal protection for the building. But no NORMAL human would have gotten up her alone... which means... someone SPECIAL helped him in... and the THING is... Alycia's going to be so busy worrying about me that she won't even see this guy coming."
Zach came around the couch and sat down in the armchair ajacent, leaning forward to hand Haleigh her drink. "What are you gonna do about that?"
Haleigh accepted the glass and took a drink, a look of intense concentration in her eyes. "I don't know. I don't want her dead... she's far too valuable."
Z: "What DO you want?"
Haleigh looked over at him, wondering that herself. Before she could respond, there was a knock on the door, which she thought odd, considering everything that had just happened. Without checking the security cameras, she answered the door... and found Persephone standing on the other side. Haleigh was caught a little off guard... firstly, it really wasn't an ideal time to appeal to her, though she KNEW Perse didn't know that. Secondly... she had assumed they'd play the avoidance game a little while longer until they were forced into a faceoff... She found that, in spite of herself, she could appreciate Persephone's straightforwardness... so instead of turning the goddess away.... Haleigh opened the door all the way, silently allowing Persephone into her home, and waiting for the woman who had now inhabited her sister's life to speak.

:: Hearing the door open, Persephone looked up to meet with Haleigh's eyes. She looked like she had been crying, but her face showed otherwise. Assuming Haleigh would simply object to her being there without allowing Persephone to get a word in edge wise, the goddess was actually shocked to see the blonde step aside, allowing her entry into her penthouse. Taking this opportunity to step in, Persephone moved past Haleigh until she was in the foyer. ::
"I know i'm the last person you want to see right now.."
:: Keeping her voice low, she looked over to Zach who sat on the couch, slightly tensed now. Obviously he knew that Haleigh was on edge and could crack at any moment. Looking back to her, Persephone's voice stayed even and steady, but lacked it's normal harsh and cold tone. ::
"And frankly I don't know why i'm even here. But i'm having these emotions...these emotions from your sister that I can't quite seem to control and it's...it's really difficult."
:: It was obvious that Persephone wasn't 'herself'. She was slightly more vunerable than previously when dealing with the members of the six. Normally she was extremely private and would keep to herself until she dealt with the situation, but for some reason, she had a strong urge to see Haleigh and talk with her. ::
"I have rage toward Alycia for killing Stavros. Anger toward the group for wanting to dispose of his body in such a meaningless manner. Heartache for what happened to him....And then there's this overwhelming need for your help. And to see if you're okay."
:: Letting out a scoff-like laugh, Persephone shook her head, asontished at her own words. She was confessing her life story to this woman she hardly knew, in her home with her boyfriend sitting a few feet away. This was not how she functioned and at the moment, Persephone felt pretty ridiculous. She couldn't even come up with a logical reason as to why she even came to see Haleigh at all. ::
"I hate not being in control...and right now, i'm the furthest thing from it. I understand that you hate me for taking over your sister's life. But I need..."
:: Hell just froze over...Persephone was asking for help. And from Haleigh Davidoff of all people. ::
"I need your help."

That sounds quite nice. let's invite Delilah too. She had been nearby during the police visit and was listening in, to make sure there was nothing funny going on. Alison is busy right now and I know her well enough to know she doesnt like these kinds of moments.
<< as Nicolas asked her about Haleigh, Morgan shook her head.>>
there's no need to be delicate about it. Alycia knows what kind of woman Haleigh is and what she's capable of. In fact...before you came, there was a specific moment where Alycia even made Haleigh flustered by the amount of intelligence info she had at her disposal.
Haleigh may have taken leave of her senses downstairs but I have the distinct feeling that even she isnt foolish enough to attack Alycia, a woman who is practically a federal agent as well as friends of myself, alison and delilah...especially on the premesis of Illustra. Just do your best to keep things calm and pleasant here so that Alycia will get a good nights rest. Tomorrow we'll be going over HER place in Central Park West to make sure it is secure and bug proof. With her position changing...I know enough to know she's not going to be using her satellite office here or staying here as often as she once did.
<< as they walked inside, Morgan looked at Alycia and smiled.>>
i think dinner with Nicolas will be okay don't you? he'll call Delilah and meanwhile, i have something i need to attend to.
<< she was of course referring to the visit she was about to pay Haleigh, unaware that Persephone was there too but that didnt matter. they BOTH needed to be told about themselves and Morgan was just the one to do it.>>

Persephone guessed she was an unwelcome guest for Haleigh... but Haleigh only gave a slighted laugh as she showed the woman to her sitting area.
"I hate to burst your bubble... but you DON'T top that list right now.... there are a couple of people I RATHER not see. Please, have a seat.... don't worry... you aren't the only one a little puzzled at her own actions... I think you must have come here for the same inexplicable reason that I have for letting you IN."
She SOUNDED quite hospitable... but her expression was blank, making it difficult to see how she REALLY felt about Perse's being here. She listened politely as the goddess talked about how she felt now, in light of what happened.... and it struck Haleigh that this was NOT the same woman that they'd brought back from Limbo. Not only did the woman LOOK like her sister... but she almost seemed to remind Haleigh of her at times, and it was something that caught Haleigh unawares and influenced her reception of Perse's request for help. Haleigh paused, wondering what kind of help Perse might be looking for, and why she should even help at all... after ALL... they'd never been on the best of terms, though Persephone's diving save during the Malice Showdown was appreciated.... they hadn't so much as spoken a word to each other since. But to counter every reason to turn Perse DOWN, there was a reason to help.... and Haleigh rarely was without an agenda.... and Perse's objection to the way Stav's death was handled, both by Alycia AND the Six's nearly UNANIMOUS approval of the violence told Haleigh that if she were willing to at least LISTEN to Perse... she might have someone behind her when the thing with Alycia blew up [which she KNEW would, and probably soon].
"Persephone... I don't HATE you.... maybe i... resent you... a little... but I know that it was something you had no control over.... and part of me knows that what happened was the best end of a poor deal. Eventually... out of necessity, I imagine I'll be okay... with this... it just takes TIME... and this comes right on the coattails of losing someone very close... so its much like a compound fracture. I suppose... if you're willing to extend some courtesy.... and effort.... then I don't see why I can't at least meet you halfway. As far as help goes.... we [the Six] try to be a team with comradery and internal support.... if you are willing to ASK for it... there are usually a couple willing to GIVE it. What exactly did you have in mi--"
Haleigh stopped as the door chimed... she paused and then stood up again, excusing herself. "My my.... it's like Grand Central Station here tonight... let me answer that... I'll be right back." Haleigh opened the door a second time to see a serious looking Morgan standing in her hall. Haleigh put up a hand in the 'stop' gesture and made a stand in her own defense.
"Morgan, I know you might be upset with what just happened... but you DONT know whats behind it... so before you pop off trying to give me a stern talking to, I think you ought to just take into consideration that while I may not have gone about it in the BEST sort of manner... it needed to be DEALT with... I LOST IT in there.... I know that... but... I just..... COULDN'T.... anymore.... and I'm really only BORDERLINE holding it together right now.... so..."

<< Haleigh answered the door and Morgan folded her arms. Haleigh knew what time it was and immediately attempted to explain that Morgan didnt know what was going on..>>
I'm not my mother, I'm not here to administer therapy.
<< Morgan was in no mood to coddle or be sweet as she barged past Haleigh and found Persephone and Zach sitting in the room.>>
What i AM here for, is to find out just what hell it is that you claim I'm missing and why the two of you are acting so STUPID over the death of a man that YOU << pointing at Persephone>> NEVER KNEW and were only too willing to help eliminate when Alycia first came to you about helping to secure your identity AND YOU << gesturing at Haleigh>> claimed to despise? or was that just to try to deflect the cloud of suspicion that was settling back over you when Alycia found out your little secret?
<< standing in the middle of the room Morgan's super model stature was a bit imposing. she was already the tallest woman and when wearing heels..it just made her look like her legs never ended.>>
the way you behaved down stairs was INTOLERABLE! I don't care HOW you feel..how DARE you threaten Alycia OR endanger this team and this building!
Stavros got what he deserved. He was a fugitive and TRESSPASSING. he threatened and ATTACKED Alycia and she had every right to defend herself. she doesnt answer to YOU or any of us for that matter- her relationship with us, the six...the favors she has done for us...has been out long standing friendship between she and i. Do you realize you could be taken into custody for blackmailing her ALONE? You would be exposed and everyone would know who and what you are and i'm quite sure there are many people AROUND THE WORLD in various governments who want a piece of you.
If you had something to say, or had some problem this pressing...you should have just kept silent on that floor and spoke to someone privately or better yet...just LEFT like Persephone! You didnt do anything but make things WORSE and you know Alycia well enough to know there is going to be hell to pay. You wont be able to escape..or "hide"..and you've placed ME in a very difficult position.
I want an explanation...NOW!

Haleigh narrowed her eyes Morgan pushed through... it was clear that Spellbinder was irritated and intended on coming down on her no matter WHAT she said... but she didn't expect her to drag Persephone into the conversation and it caused Haleigh to experience a rise in emotion that made her respond INSTINCTIVELY, as she followed Morgan into the sitting room, aparently unintimidated by the Sorceress' height.
"HEY! You leave her OUT of this! It was ORORO's idea to 'meld' their personalities together in the FIRST place, so why SHOULDNT she be upset?? He WAS her FATHER, in essence, so cut her some slack!"
Haleigh suddenly made a confused, surprised face, as she rubbed her eyes with one hand and shook her head softly, perplexed by the sudden desire to defend Persephone. Morgan went on to scold her and demand an explanation. Haleigh looked up and countered, defending herSELF now.
"If I have something to say to THAT WOMAN, I will SAY IT whenEVER is most convienient for me, and YOU being there ISNT going to STOP ME! I don't expect you to understand, Morgan... because YOU didnt SEE the way she treated me when she found out that I was connected to the Cassadines. Like I was some kind of TRAITOR! With that DEMEANING, ACCUSATORY tone that was ALMOST as bad as BLAZE was during the final fight with Malice... and I just SAT THERE..... and took it... because I KNEW... if I flipped out... I'd be crucified! And even though I PLEADED with her to leave Ava OUT of it, she went anyway, with the INTENT of killing my sister! Never MIND that she didn't actually get the chance to DO just that... she COMPLETELY and DELIBERATELY disregarded my wishes and made NO BONES ABOUT actually WANTING to do so!" Haleigh was getting more worked up.. she ran her hands through her hair and looked almost like she was going to tear it out... she appeared absolutely IRATE. "She's been out to GET ME since day ONE and i Just.... I JUST CANT! TAKE IT! ANYMORE!!!"
Haleigh's eyes bulged and she breathed heavily, and Zach sat up, as if ready to intervene if it went any further... but Haleigh stared off in the distance for a few seconds and her breathing calmed... and she lowered her voice and spoke again...
"What's done is done. I TOLD her I wanted nothing more to do with her and that's the way I feel at this point. If she thinks she's GOT to pursue this, then FINE... I've never RUN or HID from my problems and it would be an INSULT to my PRIDE and my DIGNITY to start now.... besides... you and I BOTH know.... she can try to have me arrested... and i MAY even go along with it... but the SECOND she does... my company would disappear... every single TRACE of evidence will vanish... sure... you ALL saw what I did... she could, with your COOPERATION, nail me on blackmail or extortion of a goverment official but honestly... I'd get one or two years? 6 months with good behaviour and thats a JOKE... a waste of her time. And with NO hard proof of anything ELSE... the rest would just be CONJECTURE... I'd be able to wriggle out of it. And on top of THAT... her trying to make something come of THAT puts YOUR names, YOUR lives under microscopes... so I've got enemies... what's the worst theyll do, try to KILL me? [scoffs] Story of my life."

:: Seeing Morgan burst through the door, Persephone immedately stood seeing the displeasure and outright anger that was written across her face. Blinking a few times trying to gather why the hell she was so pissed, she took it a step too far by pointing a finger at the goddess and basically berating her for something she had no control over. ::
"Excuse me, but don't you dare stand there and speak to me like i'm a child. Yes, I had ever intention of killing Stavros and Ava to benefit my place in this timeline, but it was Ororo's idea to send me through that damn rock. And because of that choice, I now have Ava Cassadine's emotions running through me like hot lava causing me to feel angst for her dispicable father's death, when in reality, I could care less."
:: Crossing her arms along her chest, she stood a couple inches smaller to Morgan, even in pumps. But their eyes met evenly, displaying Persephone's annoyence and displeasure about this entire situation. But she was slightly taken back when she heard Haleigh jump in and defend her. From the looks of it, Haleigh was quite surprised herself. Deciding to leave her explaination at that, Persephone kept quiet for the time being. ::
:: Listening to Morgan go on about Haleigh and Alycia, obviously she had missed a big fall out after leaving Alycia's office. This explained why Morgan was so pissed off and Haleigh was so on edge. Taking in a deep breath, Persephone uncrossed her arms and glanced toward Zach for a moment before bringing her attention back to a fuming Morgan. ::

<< folding her arms as she locked eyes with a defiant Persephone, Morgan let her say what she had to say and then retorted.>>
You had a choice. Ororo didnt FORCE you through the seige perilous. that is not her way and if you truly felt uncomfortable with the idea, you should have spoken UP. You knew we had to find a way to fully integrate you into this timeline...but aside from Alison, how were we to know it would happen THIS WAY? you can't blame this on ANYONE..it was YOUR CHOICE to pass through the gem and IT made the "adjustments" accordingly. That does not give you the right to WHIMP OUT on us. We ALL have our mental neuroses or other personal crisis from time to time. I expect that you'll pull yourself together....if you need time off from the team, then I'll grant you that but i'm NOT going to have someone who has random outbursts and fits of emotion on my team.....dealing with Blaze was enough for us ALL to see how ineffective that makes a person.
<< turning to look down at Haleigh.>>
see, that's your problem. you truly believe you have an out for EVERYTHING. I don't think you understand that the game has CHANGED NOW. the most valuble thing that The Six has with Alycia is the TRUST. She holds our secret under lock and key...SHE has covered OUR asses so many times...but BEFORE she was able to operate on a more "private" level...NOW she's a government agent. She's not going to be as "buddy buddy" with us now because she CAN'T but she WILL make sure that WE remain free of scrutiny and will run interference for us now that she is the chairwoman on the federal committee of superhuman affairs.
Alycia nearly destroyed Cameron's company...she has ENOUGH documentation on you to do the same to Clandestine INC. She knows about your operations overseas and the government is going to believe HER way before they believe YOU. You've made a life of destroying people, leaving death and chaos in your wake in the world of espionage...did you think you would be forever unchecked or unmatched?
You remember how you felt the night she upstaged you during the NERVOUS caper? She did that to proove a point. She may not have powers..but she could be just as deadly a foe. If she drops the word about you being a mutant and infected with the techno organic virus..you WILL disappear..but not by your own hand. They will not stop coming for you until you ARE DEAD.
<< pausing for a moment>>
your sister DIDNT DIE...so stop trying to make Alycia pay for something that didnt happen. FURTHER MORE...your blowing up on HER for what BLAZE did....it just makes NO SENSE. You physically battered my sister and nearly killed her, something i didnt appreciate and you have the GAUL to talk about someone else treatening your sister in light of that? You're lucky i didnt send Ava to LIMBO. Family instinct goes both ways Haleigh. You'd do well to remember that.
Alycia's "crusade" in Greece was a long time coming. Stavros needed to PAY for what happened to Sharon and for the life he built on the BLOOD of innocents who died by his weapons of destruction. I fail to see what your problem is on that. WE WENT to ensure that your sister would survive so blaming Alycia for refusing to acknolwedge you is one thing...blaming her for something that DIDNT HAPPEN is quite another. What happened down stair was just unbelievable on your part and whether you care or not...I am totally disappointed. You put an UNECESSARY strain on a team that has had a TERRIBLY HARD TIME finding harmony from the beginning.
You've been acting VERY unstable lately and I think until you've worked out your issues, I'm relieving you of your duty. FURTHER MORE, you are to stay away from Alycia. Nicolas and Delilah are with her now and they WILL use force to protect her if necessary.

"I don't believe excusing myself from a room counts for an all out meltdown. And further more, I would appricate you not pinning me out to be an emotional wreck. Have my emotions interfered with the team thus far? No. Have I even showed an OUNCE of emotional distress aside from an hour ago when I excused myself from Alycia's office. No. Yes it was my choice to go through the Seige Perilous, therefore I must figure out a way to gain control of Ava. But having you stand here, looking down at me like i'm a five year old on the verge of breaking down at any given moment is insulting. Think what you may, but you've only known me for less than a month. I don't believe that gives you the right to pass judgement on who I am and my mental 'status'.
:: Persephone's tone was cold and direct. She liked Spellbinder, very much in fact. She was the only person she felt a 'connection' with when coming into this timeline because of Darkchilde. But not even Darkchilde spoke to her in a manner that suggested she a child ready to have a tantrum at a moments notice. ::

This wasn't the first time Haleigh'd locked horns with Morgan... and it likely wouldn't be the last... but as she narrowed her eyes in the face of Morgan's continued and drawn out onslaught, she realized that this time was different... THIS time, she was losing ground with Morgan that she'd worked HARD to gain after the inferno incident... and she knew the longer their disagreement went on, the worse it would become between them... Haleigh had already grown bitter at this point and her expression was cold and detached, a clear sign that she was done allowing this to dominate her evening.
"Then I'll DIE." She deadpanned, putting her hands on her hips, and narrowing her eyes at Morgan. "But are you REALLY going to just STAND IDLY BY and let her DO THAT.... after everything we've been through.... you're going to just.... cut me loose?? You wouldn't let ME hurt HER.... but you'd let HER hurt ME?"
Haleigh rolled her eyes as Morgan gave her a lecture about family instinct. Did she HAVE to go through this AGAIN? "And YOU are lucky I had the presence of MIND not to KILL Blaze. The situation isn't even REMOTELY the same. Ava had next to NO involvement in Alycia's issues with Stavros at THAT point... but Blaze.... oh.... BLAZE had pissed off HALF the team before I stepped in to put her in her place... and that was only AFTER she GRABBED me first. If YOUR MOTHER had felt my reaction was out of LINE... she would have SAID something to you, wouldn't she? But she DIDNT. she kept quiet when I TOLD YOU Blaze had been pratically asking for it, because SHE KNEW it was more than true."
Haleigh said, with intense conviction. she refrained from pointing out the physical altercations Morgan HERSELF had with Blaze not too long ago... as she knew drudging the events surrounding inferno up would only ESCALATE an already tense arguement.
"I DONT have a problem with Alycia going after Stavros Cassadine. I have a PROBLEM with the way she TREATED ME, or haven't you been LISTENING??"
Morgan delivered a final statement which in short called Haleigh unstable, relieved her of her 'duty' on the team, and forbid her from seeing a woman Haleigh had no intent of ever seeing again anyway. Haleigh's expression went tight.
"Did you come here with the sole desire to break me down and then KICK me in the ribs while I crawled around searching blindly for my sanity? I don't know what you EXPECTED to come of this but unless you have something SUPPORTIVE or at the very least CONSTRUCTIVE left to say...thank you for your abandonment, I think I'd like you to LEAVE now."

Nicolas listened as Morgan and Alycia decided to stay for dinner. he was working on the recipe oin his head when Morgan left to run an errand, asking him to contact Delilah. He decided that mentally was as good as anything and so he "spoke" to her while pulling out the ingredients for tonights meal.
"Delilah, this is Nicolas. Morgan has assigned the two of us to guard duty for Alycia, and I figured I would feed us while we were going. If you would kindly join me and Alycia in my apartment, I will pull out some wine and make the finest Oriental dishes you could imagine. Morgan will join us shortly."
Having sent the message, Nicolas walked back over to Alycia and smiled at her, trying to lighten the mood.
"Alone at last!! (winks mischievously as he looks her up and down, then smiles warmly) Seriously Alycia, can I get you a drink? Wine? Beer? Mixed drink? Just get comfortable and I will be at your service. Hopefully Delilah and Morgan will be here soon and I will have us eating in about an hour."

<< the two women certainly held their ground. Persephone rebutted Morgan's implication of mental instability and defended herself.>>
I can't pass final judgement on you. That much is true but i CAN comment on what i see and what ALISON perceived. It was SHE who alerted us to your emotional turmoil and the reason why you left the room, are you going to tell me that SHE was wrong in what she "saw"?
You're a new team member but hardly a novice when it comes to the things that people like US face...I know you have a tremendous history and i KNOW you came from a timeline where you were very close to my alternate...I just don't want THIS CURRENT SITUATION to derail you from being the formidable woman of such remarkable reputation.
<< it was Morgan's own way of letting Persephone know that she didnt want to see her OVERWHELMED by this change she'd been through. She knew perspehone was powerfull and capable but THIS was not an ordinary circumstance..even for her.>>
as the leader of this team, i DO have the right to question you in matters such as this when it COULD in theory effect your performance.
<< looking at Haleigh.>>
when it comes to "protecting Sisters"...my MOTHER was the one who STOPPED you from killing Blaze. She may not have said anything, but then again Blaze isn't HER daughter. I am Blaze's big sister and it is MY job to look out for her....so my mother stopping you was exactly what she was supposed to do because while she may NOT have approved of Blaze's behavior, she KNEW that if you killed her...i think we both know how the fall out of that would have turned out.
so when it comes to wanting to protect a sister..yes its VERY MUCH the same. i could have paid you back for your mistreatment of Blaze by dropping Ava into a dimension where the demons would have feasted on her body AND SOUL but I didn't...i let YOU handle it and YOU should have come to ME about Blaze before it got to the point where you had to put your hands on her...FLAT OUT.
<< Morgan wouldnt change her position on this.>>>
Do i want to see you hurt or killed as the result of Alycia's plans? OF COURSE NOT dont be ridiculous! I wouldnt be here now if i didnt have CONCERN about you and what is all going on. I'm not leading a charge to destroy you am i? I'm here CONFRONTING you...as is MY RIGHT as the leader of this team.
You act like you're the ONLY ONE with a problem or something to lose? Your actions have put ME in a difficult position as the leader of the six and mastrix of Illustra. I have to try to preserve OUR safety and security AND dissuade Alycia from bringing down the full weight of the U.S. Government on YOU...it wouldnt be some episode of Law and Order...this would be something that NO ONE in this building would want to experience and this incident doesnt erase the good you've done or how far you've come. I dont want to see things get WORSE now.
If you would learn how to SHUT YOUR MOUTH sometimes, things might not have gotten to this point. If you had come clean about who you were BEFORE...the caper in Greece could have gone in a whole different direction, ALOT of things could have gone in different directions but for whatever reason...whether it was substantial or not...YOU CHOSE to handle things the way you did and here we are now. This isnt Alycia's fault. You're sister isnt dead. so you dont like the way Alycia spoke to you? how many times have YOU spoken the wrong way to others on this team? How many times have people asked YOU to spare THEIR LIVES in times past and you didnt? how many families did you bust up, how many widows did YOU MAKE? Did you ever apologize to THEM? GET OVER IT.
I wasnt there for the falling out you had with Alycia, but it was OBVIOUSLY enough to polarize the team shortly before we went to greece. your secret was a shock and for some a SLAP IN THE FACE. It hasnt been THAT LONG since Master Mold rampaged through the city...do you remember how HARD WE FOUGHT to try to stop him?
I can hardly judge YOU for not being more forthcoming about your family ties. because everybody makes errors in judgement...no one on this team is exampt from that. But as for how OTHER PEOPLE, INCLUDING ALYCIA would react? that is beyond my control. You knew that it would upset her.....and you KNEW it would provoke rage from her, so why you're acting brand new about it now...I dont know. If this was your way of paying HER back, then you've done MORE than enough. Alycia has pride just like you and will not back down easily...so the two of you were NEVER mesh well but thanks to this, you'll probably not even be able to enjoy the PROFESSIONAL relationship you had between each other either and THAT is most unfortnate as well.
what i CAN judge you on is how you abused my sister...and that is something i wont soon forget. you claim that I'm lucky you didnt kill her? no..YOU are lucky you didnt kill her.
I also feel that your reaction to Alycia and what you did down stairs was just ridiculous. You endangered OUR LIVES and this building. You are RELIEVED OF DUTY until i say otherwise.
I don't care if you like what i'm saying or not.
<< Haleigh asked Morgan to leave.>>
don't worry, i was planning on it. but i'm letting you know now..i'm watching you.
<< Morgan showed herself out and went down the hall to the elevator...taking down to the 100th floor and returning to Nicolas' apartment...exhaling with annoyance, Morgan tried to push out the negativity. she didnt feel hatred or even hostility for Persephone and Haleigh...just extreme exaspiration and irritation. she felt there was something wrong with both of them right now and she wasnt about to let them run around unchecked. She felt the best thing right now was to DEMAND that they take time off and rest...and when they were ready ...they would have to see her again before anything else happened.>>

Ethan was blindsided as he was thrown across the room of his hotel, promptly smacking into the wall. He got up. She was a mutant. She was like him. Part of him loved her aggressive technique and if it wasn't for all the security around Alycia, he would have done the same thing. Getting up for a second he smiled as he spoke to her, his light british accent filling the room.
"Miss Marble, right hand woman to Morgan Victoria. It's funny, I have been her for weeks and nobody has been the wiser, not even you. You would be amazed at what i've dug up on you all just in the last few days. Torch those files if you want, believe me.. I have back ups on everything in a safe location..."
With a wink of his eyes, he vanished from plain sight entirely. Ethan had the ability to manipulate ambient cosmic energy in order to bend light around his body without distortion, which allowed him to become completely invisible. Since he was merely bending the light in the room, he was undetectable to even those with proficiency in telepathy and magick, as this was not a spell or an illusion, he was actually fading away. He continued to speak.
"Why.. How do you think i've been getting around undetected. Morgan and Nicholas had a lovely breakfast this morning, and Delilah had a rather eventful run... You see, I really don't care what you do to ME. Now tell me, why would I allow Stavros entrance to Illustra to kill Alycia when I was hired to do the deed to myself. Alycia has a growing enemy circle, much LARGER than those that are protecting her, they want her DEAD..."
Ethan stood in front of Alison as he lashed out with a flex of his own power, throwing forward in his control of the energy in the form of an extremely large fist, nearly the size of Alison's body and the width of an elephant. The energy was nearly invisible but to the trained eye, they could catch glimmers. The fist had extreme force behind it as that of a freight train and moved fast as if it was a running cheetah.
"Your not the only one with a bag of tricks at your disposal, Miss Marble.."

You may have been sent to kill Alycia, but it is YOU who will die, just as Stavros did.
:: as the seemingly cool and calm Ethan went on the defense, he responded with a rather knowing tone, winking before he vanished from sight. Guardian stood her ground, not showing any shock or surprise at this. but soon she felt a force slam into her from behind...hitting her hard and driving her forward. she let her body go limp and roll with the force as she fell to the ground and rolled onto the floor .::
:: she immediately began to assess the situation. as she "played possum" and feigned being knocked out.::
just as i suspected. his power allows him to render himself invisible...its some form of "hard light" manipulation, this is why he seemed so elusive when i used my long range "vision" back at Illustra around the office park.
:: Despite his invisibility, he couldnt escape the power of a SEER..::
::she lay...playing possum. all the while she began to warp the temporal field of the ENTIRE room slowly, there was no sound, no indication of anything. it was a passive attack. the closer he came toward her.. his moves would become slower and slower., his reaction time decreasing with each breath..and no matter if he was visible or not..she would have him TRAPPED in the warped temporal field and she would deal with him in her own special way.::

Alison was too strong to crumble over something like that. Spending years in the service of Mystech he knew how to analyze his opponent greatly. She was trying to gain the advantage, and he wasn't falling for it. Ethan began to move forward as he noticed his every movement become extremely slow. She had the power to warp temporal fields and if she was effecting the environment, then she was not unconscious. He knew that while he was invisible he would have an advantage so he stayed that way and laughed.
"I'm staying put, Alison. We can play cat and mouse all DAY. I HAVE the information I need on at least you. This room is under constant surveillance, and once I doc the film to show just your use of power, this might just shed a LOT of light on what goes on in Illustra. In fact, the photos I have of Alycia with a golf club in hand and a look of rage in her eyes might just convince a jury that her motives were not in self defense but in rage, and let's not forget the mysterious dissappearance of Alexis Quartermaine? The fact that Ava Cassadine is now living under the roof of Illustra? The Debacle at the Parthenon Party earlier in the year. Believe me, the security footage alone in the Parthenon is enough to put you all away... Here is your OPTION. If I don't come back from New York City, I have five people ready to deliver this information into the right hands. Like the new Senatorial canidate perhaps? The president? He might feel differently about Alycia once he finds out she has been protecting mutants.. The choice is YOURS Alison, let me go, and KNOW that I never make idle threats. Even I die, I will find a way to uncover all the things that ghastly attorney has kept covered for so long..."
Ethan had a way of words. He could sense the deadly power of Alison and while he could have fought her, he hoped that Alison's instinct to protect Morgan and her friends was stronger than her urge to kill somebody that was not a direct threat to her. He knew she might just kill him to eliminate a threat to Alycia but she wasn't exactly sure who he was affiliated with and what power he had, and that was Ethan's upperhand. He was mysterious and vague.
"The clock is ticking.. release your temporal hold and leave or fight me like a real man.."

:: Alison opens her cobalt blue eyes...and BLINKS out of sight. having lay there long enough, she let him spill on his motives. Guardian had heard enough and decided to cut him off.::
I have traveled the world over. i have seen things that would make a frail man like YOU die of fright....do you really think that a mutant like YOU could out power a witch like me?
We have survived far worse and triumphed over far more powerfull.
you think too much of your ability, ETHAN. your invisibility only cloaks you from ONE sense...VISION. I do not NEED EYES to "see", NOR does it prevent me from using my OTHER senses..including HEARIN noting the direction from where your voice comes.
Not only does your voice come from a specific spot, You...your FEET still touch the ground and leave IMPRESSIONS on the carpet. and YOU cannot change the speed of your movements or reaction time. I CAN. you were trapped in a temporal field and even if you didnt come CLOSE TO ME...I could still manuever AROUND the area where you stand..cloaked or not.
:: thrusting her hands out ala Piper Halliwell...Guardian ignites the entire space around Ethan...combusting ALL the molecules and creating a massive ballistic explosion. and for all the deadly display, it wasnt designed to KILL HIM, just batter, bruise and burn him as well as SHATTER his concentration and force him to reappear.::
I will destroy you, and EVERYTHING in this room if i have to....unless you LEAVE NOW while i ALLOW you to.
:: her cold voice was serious. though he was the first indication of OUTSIDERS now wanting a piece of Alycia or even having an axe to grind with the Six, Guardian would do her best to put fear into him before throwing him out of the Parthenon. Once outside, She would make SURE he wouldnt get far.::

Ethan rather liked the game Alison and himself were now playing. The exchange of words, the attacks designed not to kill but to intimidate. They were eerily alike as Ethan heard the blast of explosions around him as flames and pieces of the room went blasting after him, knowing he would break his invisibility, he showed another aspect of his power, as he generated a psionic field of invisible force, which allowed him to generate on his near indestructable force field, that was said to be powerful enough to ward off nuclear detonation, it had been the reason he survived the two explosions he had survived in his life, most recently his destruction of the London Citadle of the Mystech. He brushed off his face as he had already been slightly burned by the fire. He was now completely visible but protected in his forcefield. He smirked deeply at the woman before him.
"I will give you credit, you are smart and calculating. But believe me, Miss Marble. I have ways of covering my tracks. Go ahead, destroy the room, destroy the whole bloody building if you feel the need, and when the dust settles and the flames die and I am still standing here, don't say I didn't warn you..."
He exerted his energy from behind Alison in the form of transluscent vines that wrapped around her body as he lifted her up to the ceiling before slamming her back down to the floor. He thought outloud for a second.
"You know, after I blew up the London Citadle of Mystech, I thought I was done with you people, but none of you have been able to leave me alone. I find myself at a loss for words as to how I was not able to detect that you were agents of Mystech and that the people who hired me wanted revenge, probably for some horrid act Mystech inflicted on some poor victim that Miss Barnett no doubt covered up.. Was killing over one hundred of your men not enough of a reason for you to stay the HELL away from me?"
It was obvious that Ethan had his information backwards. He thought he was fighting Mystech, little did he know that Alison was a part of a group that fought the people he too despised so much. Mystech was a soft spot with Ethan and he would DEFINITELY make sure he hit his mark if he knew these people were operatives of Mystech.

:: The heated fight between Haleigh and Morgan was only getting worse. When Morgan wasn't jumping down Haleigh's throat, she'd acknowledge Persephone. Listening to the woman, she simply looked at her, knowing that was her own way of 'making sure she was okay'. Atleast for the team's sake. ::
"I know my limits, Morgan. I'll be fine."
:: She wasn't going to claim Alison was wrong, because in fact she was right. Persephone wasn't in control at the moment, but she wouldn't allow anyone else to think otherwise. Especially when she had faith that she could overcome this without special 'treatment' from the rest of the team. ::
:: As Morgan and Haleigh finished up their fight, Persephone watched as Morgan left the penthouse. ::
"This night just keeps getting more eventful."

[ Delilah was still in the lobby lurking around the remnants of the police proceedings when she was jarred by Nicolas' voice in her head. She would have to speak to him about that.
She walked discreetly to the elevator and rode it to the 100th floor. Stepping off the elevator, she realized this was the first time she'd been here since the apartment became his. She gave the door a firm knock. ]

But at the same time, he seems to be functioning under an extreme amount of ERROR. he thinks WE are agents of Mystech? and he thinks HE has the power to take down something that WE'VE already dealt with? his arrogance (among other things) will be the DEATH OF HIM!

Hey D.
<< Morgan spoke with a bit of a weary tone.>>
What did you think about what went on down on the main floor? i thought the detectives seemed kind of SLOW on the draw...but ultimately I'm glad we went with your descision to tell the truth. the tapes will clear Alycia and they definately dont think anything ELSE is amiss here at Illustra.

Maybe my mother needs to comeback....there's some new clients for her patient load waiting upstairs.

[ Delilah was patiently waiting for Nicolas to answer the door when Morgan arrived. She waved and smiled a greeting in response to Morgan's salutation. ]
"I think everything seems in order. The policemen may have seemed slow, but they were just following procedure. Lower hierarchy cops have a tendency to being 'by the book" - I wouldn't worry about it. Alycia looks to be in the clear."
[ She gave another reassuring smile. ]
"As for your mother...she's definitely needed, but I don't think THOSE two would take kindly to her offer of services."
[ She chuckled at the thought of Karen psycho analyzing Haleigh and Persephone. Her face became more serious as she contemplated Morgan's final question for a moment before answering. ]
"Your humanity is not a weakness, Morgan. A leader's strength lies in feeling her emotions and then taking the right course - using her feelings to guide her. Your team mates are not interchangeable pieces like on a chess board. They are your friends, companions, colleagues. It is right for you to feel distress when there is conflict between your team mates. How else will you help those you lead to overcome such conflicts?"

The door opened by itself and Nicolas came around the corner, he had shed his shirt to keep it clean and was cooking what smelled absolutely fabulous. He had a vegetarian dish sauteeing and was cooking hibachi steak. He had steamed noodles searing and even bean sprouts going as well. Each of them was being worked by the appropriate utensils but no hand to guide them. He hurried back to his dishes as he motioned for them to come in.
"Welcome, ladies!!! I just picked out a few things. I have been cooking the meat separate for the vegetarians among you. I have wine chilled on the table and I have beer and liquors chilling as well. If you want a drink, I am your bartender for the evening."
Nicolas returned to his cooking, watching as each food came to be cooked perfectly. He looked and few dishes came out of the cabinet and settled at the table. The utensils and napkins also seated themselves as he washed his hands.

It was strange. The feeling of being turned into these dark orb like forms was extremely uncomfortable and he had no control, something he had an extreme dislike of. His body slammed back and forthe between the walls as he blasted out of the WINDOW of the Parthenon and across town as she lands in a pond just inside Central Park, as he came out of the water, he gasped for air, a huge smile on his face.
"Well, I certainly underestimated Miss Marble!"
He let out a laugh, a hint to the thrill seeking and adventurous part of his character. He got out of the water and shook off as he noticed the looks of people and runners passing by. Ethan shrugged them off as he faded from view and began to walk away, leaving only the trail of his footprints in the grass. He made his way to a clearing in the forested area of the park, as he reappeared, grabbing his cellphone out of his now wet Diesel jeans. Thankfully, it still worked. He would have to call his employers.
"Yeah, this is Maverick. The case has gotten a little complicated, and if you think I am doing this for the same pay, you're crazy. Let's TRIPLE it.. I will contact you later.."
Ethan soon made his way to a public library in the city as he sat down at a computer. He needed to do more research on these people. He had backed up the files, but they were linked to a remote server in his flat in London and they wouldn't be of much use to him now. He worked alone and that was how he would have to get his hit.
"They call themselves guardians against MysTech? Morgan Victoria's father was a doctor for them as well as Alexis' Quartermaine. Nearly her entire family was part of the terrorist organization. Kelly King. All of these people are likened to be the Second Generation of Mystech!"
He needed to find a weaker link. He needed a way into their inner circle. Somebody who hated Alycia enough to betray the Six. Somebody who didn't really didn't care what happened to her one way or another, and he thought he had found that person. Haleigh Davidoff. As he typed away on the computer, trying to bypass their server with his own, he thought of how he could get to her.
"Perhaps, I shall make her an offer, she can't refuse...."
In his time with Mystech he had gained really a hobby of computer hacking and he was damn good at it. He was able to bypass firewalls and security breaches and link up with some of the computers of Clandestine Intelligence. There on their connection, he made contact, knowing she would find it.
Attention Base Ops, this is a message for Director Davidoff. I have information you desperately want on the Attorney.. I can help you get what you want. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. He ended the transmission as he called the trendy Japanese Restaurant and made the reservation. Hopefully Haleigh would provide him with all the help he needed to rid the world of Alycia Barnett.

Nicolas laughed at Morgan's stripper remark.
"Dear Morgan, I simply do what makes me comfortable. Usually I cook in a lot less."
He finished his cooking and turned off the cooking surfaces. As he turned and came to where the women sat, the utensils followed behind him. He gives Delilah a glass filled with imported German beer, slightly chilled.
"So ladies, I am your EXPOSED chef it seems. If you will kindly tell me your pleasures (glances quickly at Morgan) I will prepare your plates to your liking. And thanks for the offer Delilah, but I have it all under control."
After Delilah, Alycia then Morgan tell him what they will have, he has the utensils deliver the portions to their plates. Meanwhile, he carries out a small caddy with condiments both normal and exotic and a large caddy with fresh fruits, cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. He seats each lady at the table with Delilah seated next to Morgan who is at his right hand, and Alycia at his left hand. Nicolas then seats himself and, quickly remembering his shirt, gets up to retrieve it and put it back on before sitting back down. He smiles at his teammates as he looks over the spread.
"I hope everything is as you desire it to be. Enjoy!"

Nicolas sat between the three women as he set their dishes as requested. He began to eat and drink a bit. He heard Morgan remark about watching her figure.

Morgan came back AGAIN... with more to say, little of which got through to Haleigh, who'd shut down after Morgan started back up on the Blaze topic. She leaned against the arm of the sofa, crossing her arms as Morgan talked of the difficult position she was in.
"Well, I'm sorry my personal conflicts have inconvienced you, Morgan. The Door's over There."
She said, pointing to the front door, being almost rudely short with Morgan. She watched as Morgan left, and nodded to Persephone as she lit ANOTHER cigarrette.
"hmmph.... she's WATCHING me. She thinks she can DICTATE everything I do? Who does she THINK she is, the president? Next thing we know, she'll be accusing me of hoarding WMDs... which.... actually... nevermind.... You never heard me say that."
Zach opened his mouth to say something about her smoking again, but Haleigh's phone rang. She took a long drag, sitting back down on the sofa and gesturing for persephone to sit as she picked up the receiver.
"Davidoff."
>>We've got a problem... a hacker has been detected.
"WHAT?? change servers immediately. then FIND THEM."
>>Right away.... oh... wait.... theres a transmission. Director? It's intended for you.
"What the hell does it SAY?"
>>Attention Base Ops, this is a message for Director Davidoff. I have information you desperately want on the Attorney.. I can help you get what you want. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. "Information? For ME? [laughs] Oh.... this should be good."
Haleigh looked at her watch as she hung up the phone. She still had time left to talk to Persephone.... and could then see what exactly this man thought he had to say. She doubted anything would come of it... but it would be funny to see a man trying to tell her what she already knew.... and maybe... she could find out something about how Stavros got through HER security systems. She turned to Perse, curiousity making leaps and bounds. Boy... she made ONE stand against someone and offers were just falling into her lap. She reached over and flicked the ash into the ashtray on the endtable, picking up her drink again.

:: Looking to Haleigh as she answered her telephone, Persephone glanced over to Zach seeing the disappointment in his eyes. Obviously this was taking a toll on him as well. Looking back to Haleigh, seeing her hang up the phone, Persephone lifted a curious brow but didn't bother to pry. ::
"Perhaps we could make an effort to get along. Assist each other if need be."
:: Standing from the couch, Persephone looked down at Haleigh who seemed incredibly detached, she goddess' blue eyes met with the blonde's. ::
"That is, if you will meet me half way."
:: Looking over her shoulder at Zach, Persephone gave him an even look, before nodding to him. ::
"Good evening Zach."
:: Looking back down at Haleigh. ::
"Haleigh."
:: Walking passed Haleigh, Persephone made her way to the front door where a cluster of Haleigh's dogs sat. Giving the dogs a small smile, they all stood and moved to the side in a single file line. Ethan sat in the third booth in the main dining hall of the trendy Japanese restaurant Koi, where many of the rich and famous spent their summer New York evenings. The restaurant was a nice and secret sanctuary for celebutantes and it would provide Ethan and Haleigh the secrecy they needed. He looked at his watch. She had about five minutes left to arrive. He was dressed in a sleek black Marc Jacobs dress jacket with a nice tailored black collared shirt underneath, which he accessoried with matching black slacks and his favorite pair of Armani Exchange shoes.
"Come on, Haleigh. Do not leave me waiting..."
He began to think of what he was going to say to Haleigh. He knew that she hated Alycia with a passion and that the recent events involving her half sister might be enough fuel for her to form a partnership with him, in order for them to both take out Alycia, giving Haleigh the revenge she felt she needed and Ethan the paycheck he so rightfully deserved. He had put alot of time into this job and he was not about to go back to London empty handed, and from what he had read about Haleigh, he knew she would be the only one in the Six up for changing things up.

Haleigh nodded softly, gulping the last of her drink as Perse spoke.
"Well... I think I've made enough enemies for this evening... so yes... getting along sounds nice."
Persephone rose to leave, and so did Haleigh, followed by Zach, who was sitting closest to the door and, ever the gentleman, made a point to get there first and open it. As Persephone said goodnight:
Z:"Good night, Miss Cassadine."
Haleigh almost gave herself whiplash turning her head to stare at him as he closed the door behind 'Ava', but he only shrugged.
Z:"It's her name now, isnt it?"
H:"Are you TRYING to piss me off?"
Z:"ARE YOU?" he asked, as she turned on her heel and started stalking off towards the bedroom. He follows her closely, not ready to give up on her. "Christ Haleigh... I KNOW you're upset... but polluting your lungs isn't going to help ANYTHING and instead of talking to me, you're pushing me away... in fact... you're pushing EVERYONE away. Or are you going to pretend that fight with Morgan didn't just happen?"
Haleigh didn't say anything, she just undressed and continued into her closet, pulling out a strappy little red dress with a neckline designed to show off rarely displayed cleavage and matching 4 inch heels, causing Zach to stutter and work hard not to immediately apologize.
Z:"Wh-- What are you doing?"
Haleigh gave him a sly smile as she brushed past him, going into the master bathroom and leaning over the sink, checking herself in the mirror. "I'm going to dinner... you don't have to wait up." She disappeared before he could respond.
Appearing in a stall of the ladies room at Koi, she walked past a bewildered looking woman who was washing her hands and clearly thought she was alone. She approached the booth where Ethan sat from behind him, and rounded the booth, taking a good look at his face. He was no one she'd seen before.... but she knew what to do. Back when they'd destroyed Nervous... she'd had the foresight to scan all the files they were deleting... and she had photographic memory. Though she'd never forwarded the files to CI, [as the purpose was to NOT have them floating around], she COULD recall the files and HIS face matched someone the MYSTECH had a file on. She slid into her seat, crossing her legs at the knee with a devlish smirk.
"Well.... you have my attention. Why don't you start by telling me a little about yourself, Ethan?"
She used his name to show he wasn't the only one who KNEW things...
