<< It has been a whirlwind since Spellbinder brought the Six and their allies back to NYC from their caper in Greece. Although no casualties were sustained against The Six, there WERE some surprising revelations, including the fact that Erika King , under the power of Malice had infact murdered Cameron in an attempt to hurt Alison Marble aka Guardian. Ororo destroyed the renegade Erika and released Cameron's spirit to finally rest in peace. Alycia Barnett, with the unwanted help of the six, succeded in bringing down the Cassadine family and bringing Stavros back to the states to face serious charges while Ava Cassadine passed through the Seige Perilous to find a new life outside of this one of crime and scrutiny. In a mysterious twist, due to their cross time link, Persephone and the essence of Ava MERGED...transforming Persephone INTO "Ava" and giving her an identity for this reality...it was a change that was not received well by Ava's sister, HALEIGH as this meant these two women were now bonded on a deeper level than just "team mates".>>
<< with the changes setting in on the Six, the high profile case against Stavros Cassadine was playing out over the media for all to see. Alycia had scarcely been at Illustra since returning and now everyone was seeing just how far reaching Mystech's corruption had touched the federal government as corrupt congressional officials and others were being flushed out left and right.>>
<< even as Alycia spear headed this movement, she would find herself faced with an opportunity that no one could have guessed....as well as being confronted by someone who was not willing to just let her roll over him with her now legendary and bloodthirsty tactics.>>

:: Days had gone by since Persephone was integrated with Ava Cassadine, giving her an identity in this timeline. It was strange how the Seige Perilous worked. Persephone looked similar to Ava, but they were two distinctly different people...but the moment they passed through the gem, she turned into Ava, mind AND body. She found out the hard way when she decided to go out to lunch and a swarm of paparazzi surrounded her screaming "Miss Cassadine" while trying to get information of Stavros' court case. That alone further proved that she was now a member of this world's society. ::
:: Deciding to lay low since her new found 'fame', Persephone made her way out of her kitchen carrying a cup of herbal tea. Making her way into her livingroom, she sat down and tucked her feet under her body before carefully placing the hot drink on the coffee table to let it cool. Flipping the television on, immediately, case coverage popped up involving Stavros. Letting out a low sigh, since being integrated with Ava, Persephone couldn't seem to watch these news reports without feeling annoyed or angry. Obviously the 'Ava part' in her peeking out. Flipping the channel, there seemed to be no escape from the coverage revolving around Cassadine Enterprises and Stavros Cassadine himself. Turning the television off, Persephone dropped the remote next to her and rested her head back. ::
"Well....I never much enjoyed this timeline's television shows anyway."
:: Closing her eyes, a few quiet minutes passed before the ringing of her land line telephone jolted her back to reality. Reaching over to the end table where her cordless telephone sat, Persephone pressed the 'talk' button before lifting it to her ear. ::
"Hello?"
"Hello, Love!"
:: Lowering her brows hearing the man's voice on the other end of the phone, obviously they had the wrong number. ::
"I think you have the wrong number."
"Oh don't be like that, it's me.....Common Persephone."
:: With wide eyes, Persephone grunted out with annoyance, finally realizing why she thought the voice sounded so familiar. ::
"What the hell do you want? And how did you get my number?!"
"Well it wasn't too hard considering I’m your husband."
:: Rolling her eyes, Persephone scoffed as she stood from the couch. ::
"Once again, your deluding yourself from reality, Ares. There is no way in hell I would EVER marry you. Not in our own timeline and certainly not in THIS timeline."
:: Hearing a small chuckle come from the other end of the phone, Persephone found none of this amusing. In fact, she found it rather obnoxious. And slightly creepy. ::
"You wouldn't marry me, Love. But Ava sure would."
:: Stopping dead in her tracks, Persephone's face went from annoyed to confused in seconds. ::
"Ava? How do you know about Ava?"
"I make it a point to know about my wife."
:: Persephone's mouth dropped like a ton of bricks. They're little 'run in' at the park wasn't coincidence. In fact, she wouldn't put it past Ares to MARRY Ava just because she was linked to Persephone. Now they were....he was her....HUSBAND?!?! Oh this integration thing was just turning into TONS of fun! ::
"Oh you bastard...I CANNOT believe you!!"
:: Yelling into the phone, Persephone began to wave her left hand, further emphasizing her point that she was angry. When suddenly.... ::
"OH MY GOD!"
:: Seeing a rock the size of the moon on her ring finger, Persephone gasped in, holding her hand out in front of her face. ::
"Where the hell did THAT come from!"
:: Seriously...it just seemed to appear there. Or maybe she was too distracted to notice it? No...she would of noticed a diamond THAT big on her finger. Moving the phone to her shoulder, she tilted her head to the side, holding the phone in place. Pulling at the ring to take it off, it wouldn't budge. ::
"What? Did you have it soldered on?"
"Oh, now is that any way to react to our undying love?"
"Love? You KNEW Ava was my alter, didn't you? That's why you married her! Because you always had this disgusting infatuation with ME! Ohhh, the MOMENT that court office opens tomorrow, I’m filing for divorce!"
:: Clicking the phone off, not bothering to hear what Ares had to say, Persephone slammed it on the kitchen island, finally giving up on trying to pull off her....wedding ring. ::
"Unbelievable!"

<< up on the top floor of Illustra, down the center hallway and inside Morgan's luxury penthouse, the sorceress is in one of the many rooms of the sprawling penthouse. wearing a rather trendy and sexy "workout" ensemble with her hair pulled back in an "upward" ponytail, the leggy sorceress is on a yoga mat doing some stretches and other exercises while across the room, a flat screen TV broadcasts up to the minute coverage of the trial of Stavros.>>
<< this whole case has made SO MANY waves. many companies in the area...notable ones are being investigated for their illegal activities and ties to mystech and two prominent senators have been flushed out....one of whom was the challenger to Sharon Kelly for the N Y senate seat just before she died. Sharon had won but never got the chance to begin her second term. Alison said that Sharon's death was a NECESSARY loss...it would be the catalyst for what everyone was now watching on TV and any other media outlet.>>
<< as Morgan continues to stretch, she watches the broadcasting. the images of a rather sinister looking and yet sharply dressed Alycia Barnett. Federal officials, supposed court and trials "experts" commenting on various things etc>>
hmm. this is it. alycia doing what she does best. but i wonder what kind of fallout will come...she's busting some POWERFULL people.
<< Morgan thought about everything they'd been through so far.>>
<< Morgan and her mother had said their goodbyes for now as Karen finally left to return to her loft in soho and resume her own life and schedule. her mother had been there for the team in ways that most people wouldnt have have bothered to. she was a TRUE example of what a mother could be...and between her and Ororo, Morgan never felt abandonned, and after the last two capers since her full return, Morgan felt TRULY greatfull and SATISFIED. not many people could SURVIVE the Seige Perilous and return to "themselves", much less have a mother who watched over you at your most vulnerable moment. Alison certainly hadn't had that experience with her mother or family. Kelly King was a trainwreck who was an insult to ALL that was human>>
SIGH!
<< Alison was a floor below and no doubt resting...just trying to allow herself to accept the reality that she was finally FREE from her family's dysfunction and that Cameron was now at peace. Nicolas was several floors below. He was beautifull to look out and in the short time that she had known him, he was unlike any other male that had been on the team. Someone she actually respected early on and felt GOOD about. Someone who was...even..ATTRACTIVE to her.>>
i think...i may have found my new signature MALE model for Illustra!
and maybe something ELSE too...
<< she spoke as she exhaled and changed positions on the mat, now beginning yoga. listening to scathing remarks being made by Alycia against Stavros and "would be" New York senator, William Stryker.>>
<< Morgan couldnt help but laugh to herself as she heard the ballsy woman on the TV.>>
speaking of tension in the air....Haleigh and Persephone, who is now "Ava" in this reality...if THAT doesnt make for drama in Illustra, i don't know what will.

:: on the 106th floor of Illustra, within the posh luxury apartment of Alison Marble...it remained quiet and tranquil. The seer had little need for television as she could easily discern what was going on in this or any other timeline and she already knew what was happening now was the ultimate result of Sharon's death several months back. Things were going just as they should.::
::but even THAT didnt help HER as she was now working through "letting go" of the pain, the resentment and BITTERNESS that she held in check for so long when it came to her pestilence of a mother and sister.::
bastards...the pits of tartarus will not even welcome their insipid souls.
:: she said in a cold tone. the only other sound in her spacious luxury apartment was that of the large, elegantly designed grandfather clocked that ticked along in a slow, but steady, unwavering rhythm. the temperature was lower than any other unit, as she preferred it that way.::
:: with the soft, comforting glow of the candles that surrounded her in the den she sat in, Alison was curled up in the large, deep seated couch, wearing nothing more than a victoria's secret blue gem toned bra and panty set, she was wrapped in a plush down comforter..which hid her tight, fit feminine figure.::
:: in her hands, she was reading the JOURNALS of her brother Cameron King. the same journals that Spellbinder and Persephone had secured from his compound in LA that he left to Alison in the will. the entries were taking her back to earlier times in The Six...back to when she had first met him. though times were rough back then between them...there was an odd sort of comfort to t he memories that they evoked since ultimately it as Cameron and Alison who prooved to have the STRONGEST bond in the king/marble clan.::
:: as she read the entries..Cameron's voice narrarated the entries in her mind's eye.::
June 15, 2005-
Jesus Christ! Sometimes I hate Morgan Victoria so much it hurts! She can be such a vicious bitch. She kicked me out of Illustra! She is trying to bury me in litigation with Alycia Barnett and the SEC. That is just ridiculous. She wants to bury me, I will CRUSH her! She thinks I don't know some of HER dirty deeds? I know about how she dips into the petty cash fund of Illustra to support her healthy shopping habit. I know that the "books" of Illustra have sometimes been altered to accomodate what she calls "employee" floors of which we all live in at Illustra currentl. She has yet to seen what I can do. What about Blaze's ex cocaine habit and the dirty deeds that go on in her clubs. I have seen some shady things go on and I am not above reporting all of that to the press. I could RUIN her reputation and I could give a shit about that bitch Alycia Barnett. Isn't it a conflict of interest to have the person I did my will with now try and prosecute me in front of a JURY!?!?! This is not the end of this.
This was shortly after the Inferno....Morgan threw him out of Illustra. It was a descision that most of us felt was for the best...and Alycia ALWAYS seized every opportunity she had to rake him across the coals. Stark contrast to VIVICA...who swung on his balls so tight she could've been his own personal tampon string. Clearly he didnt have his facts straight...Morgan NEVER had to pay for any of her clothes..and still doesnt. when you reach the level she has in the fashion industry, designers just GIVE YOU things.
Alycia, she had worked with Cameron on his will so far back. No wonder Vivica always felt upstaged by Alycia....but its obvious that Alycia is the stronger one of the two and she certainly didnt NEED Cameron as a client.
:: Alison remembered moments back then, like the tension filled breakfast at Morgan's the day of the grand opening of the Parthenon and the announcing of the partnership between King Enterprises and Illustra Inc., so much strife....::
June 17, 2005-
Well I just don't know what to say right now. I just got out of the office of Alycia Barnett and what started as a fight about litigation and depositions turned into one heavy kiss. It was rather odd and exciting at the same time. Alycia is more mysterious than she looks. Even though I enjoyed the kiss I can't help but feel bad that I still have everything unsolved with Haleigh. I need to control myself. Why do I put myself out to all these other people and then have Haleigh just lingering there. I can really be an asshole sometime. No doubt someone from Clandestine saw the kiss. They have their ways. What am I going to say to her? God I am such an asshole. I need something to drink.
:: Alison's cobalt blue eyes WIDENED as she read and REread this entry::
Cameron King and Alycia Barnett KISSED!? Alycia would sooner have CASTRATED him than look at him...
:: but she remembered how SHE was rather intrigued by BANE, who had prooven to be about the ONLY man among the Six who could take her abuse and ENJOY it...and somehow still manage to charm her to a degree. she suspects that if he had remained...THEY TOO would have had a moment (or two) of their own....She can't help but smile about...as she "sees" this moment in her mind's eye.::
my , my...Alycia. you ARE full of surprises arent you! but even your beauty couldnt be lost on someone like Cameron who PRIDED himself on being something a playboy. Clearly, she wouldnt go any further with it. The woman is all business and never risks her career OR her pride.
:: she couldnt help but giggle at the thought of what Haleigh would say if she found out about this....but given the strained relationship between Alycia and Haleigh, Alison felt it was best to keep this on the hush. Speaking of Haleigh....::
July 13, 2006-
Haleigh came to me tonight and we spent the night together. It was amazing.
:: Alison scoffed as she took a sip of her warm spearmint tea and nestled into her comforter a bit more.::
I could have seen THIS coming from the moment i watched them interact in that medical office building above the Citadle. the two of them had this...almost..UNHOLY chemistry between them..
I don't know why we can't just say the things we want to each other. It is like there is always a wall there. Stopping us from being together. I think it's everything. The Six, the weight of the world on our shoulders. We are always stopping this evil that is threatening the world that we can never just stop and figure things out for a minute. We lost some closeness when the whole thing with Alexis happened. It was a mistake I will admit that but I am not ashamed of it. It was something that needed to happen and I can't say that I didn't want Haleigh to be jealous about it. I just wish that we could all work things out. If we could get past all the fighting we would probably be a team to be reckoned with. I think I might have a nice glass of champagne and work out some of the details of the Parthenon/Illustra Gala that is happening soon. That should be interesting. No doubt my sister and Morgan wil wear something shocking. I hope Erika will fit in. I am really glad I found her, though I hope Alison and her can find some kind of common ground. Those two are more alike than I thought. That's all for now...
My brother...the tramp. This was post Inferno as well......"I hope Erika and Alison can find common ground"...not in your WILDEST DREAMS!
:: Alison's marble hard heart was already beginning to push out any "feeling" with regards to Erika, the biological mistake.::
August 1, 2005-
My life is falling down around me. I don't know what is going to happen. After my dream with Ororo I knew I had to change. I have been trying. I sealed off my telepathic abilities. I needed to because I couldn't go on in life and try to have relationships with people when I knew what they really thought about me. It is time to let people into my heart, and I hope that it means Alison. I just want to be accepted by her. I feel like if I can gain her trust, there is nothing I won't be able to accomplish. I try to talk to Erika about this but she doesn't understand. She tells me to go back to Alison whenever I get mad but I get the feeling that she doesn't want us to get along. That part of her wants to be the sister I go to. Now just as things are getting better I found some horrible information. A piece of intelligence that Vivica gave me showed me a prophecy that was discovered on the Six. It is something called the Marked One. This is bad news. The prophecy talks about a member of the Six that will be the end of all of us. A member that will be responsible for the deaths of Alison, Alexis and Haleigh and eventually face off with Morgan in a battle that will kill them both. I can't help but think this person is me. That I am The Marked One. It says the Marked One is completely different from the others in a way that is extremely apparant but often overlooked. I am the only male member of the Six aside from Bane but he doesn't count. The Marked One is a founding Member. I need to get away from the Six until I figure who the Marked One is... then I have to kill them. I have to kill the Marked One to save the Six.. I have a place in Tokyo I rented to get away from things and I just might use it. I can't tell anybody. I have to figure this out on my own. Can I really change if I am destined to betray everyone?
this was right when Helena Quatermaine made her appearence, reminding us all you could be a fossilized hag and still pass for being "human".
:: remembering the verbal exchange that she and Morgan had with the Red Queen of Mystech's inner circle...Alison rather ENJOYED the bitchery between them all.::
Cameron came to me that night...he wanted to start on a new path...the sincerity was there..and i warned him of what awaited him if he continued on that current path.....and inspite of all that, he STILL wound up dying...but not by his own foolishness...not even by mystech directly. but by the one woman who acted as though she was doing US a favor by trying to "help".
:: Alison slowly closed that journal....looking off into the distance toward the fire place.::

Zach knocked softly on the door to Haleigh's study. She'd been holed up in their for hours and while he wanted to give her the necessary space, he periodically checked in on her to see how she was.
It was sweet but starting to annoy Haleigh a little. Honestly, she'd even talked to him at LENGTH this morning at breakfast. Why was he so worried? It wasn't like she was in here crying her eyes out, overcome with angst and depression. She wasn't suicidal.... and it wasn't like she was neglecting him or that he was starved for attention... they'd been regularly making love for five or six days now. What did a girl have to do to be left to her own thoughts a while?
"Come in, Zachary."
He could tell by her tone and the fact that she used his full name that she wasn't in the brightest of moods... but that didn't deter him. What almost DID deter him, however, hit him as soon as he opened the door. The air was THICK with smoke, so much so that he could SEE it in the air. He rushed to the window and threw it open, turning to face Haleigh. She was leaned back in her leather office chair, her feet propped up on her desk. She had laid the New York Times newspaper on her lap briefly to light ANOTHER black cigarrette with her personalized Black Widow zippo, seemingly undisturbed by the smoke that lay over her like a thick blanket. It was a wonder the smoke alarm hadn't gone off. On second thought.... she'd probably disabled it.
Zach:"WHAT are you doing?"
Haleigh glanced up over the rim of reading glasses, taking a drag and tossing the lighter onto the desk carelessly. "What the hell does it look like I'm doing? I'm reading the paper. Do you mind? This is a rather interesting article on how your kids are more likely to die by drowning in swimming pools than by playing with guns. Good news for me, huh?" She said, flicking the ash into an ashtray on her desk with little regard for the incredulous look he was giving her.
Zach:"Haleigh, you don't HAVE any kids. And I'm not TALKING about that... I thought you QUIT smoking after the Inferno incident."
H:"Oh... do you give me that shit. I KNOW you smoke those PUNGENT cigars when you drink with the boys on poker night."
Z:"YEAH... ONE.... YOU.... are smoking like a damn chimney. Those things are gonna KILL you." He replied, eyeing the inordinate amount of butts in the ashtray.
Haleigh gave a half scoff, half laugh, as she brought the paper back up to read. "Yeah... I should smoke TWO AT ONCE.... it'll shorten the sentence." She responded sarcastically, going back to her paper. Haleigh'd stopped watching the television coverage a couple days ago... after destroying her SECOND flat panel accidentally by getting so worked up watching the coverage of Stavros' trial. She'd safely taken to reading the Times, as at least THAT wouldn't spontaneously combust. "And besides... I highly DOUBT these will kill me... I'm a hardly human, remember? I'm pretty sure Black Lung's got NOTHING on the T.O. virus."
Z:"That's IT. We've GOT to get you out of this penthouse. Obviously the smoke is affecting your better judgement." He said, taking the cigarrette from her lips and putting it out, pulling the newspaper from her grasp and lifting her out of the chair by the bicep. Haleigh looked him up and down... so FORCEFUL and demanding. Haleigh got a sly look in her eyes as he began pushing her out into the sitting area towards the door.
"Mmm... so bossy. You know.... anyone else would have lost the use of several of their extremities by now... but this is making me rather hot... is this how you want it now, Darling?"
Z:"No.... its a beautiful day out and we're going to go to our hamptons estate and play with the dogs.... or skeeshoot... or do SOMETHING. why do you do this to yourself, huh?"
Haleigh tried to play the innocent act, though she knew exactly what he was talking about... "Whatever do you mean, dearest?"
Z:"You hide in your study.. you berate yourself... you make everything so fundamentally difficult. Everytime I touch you, you want to have sex. Everytime someone calls you from the office, you want to pick a fight... and ANYTIME I try to talk about something more seriously than the Giants football game, you clam up. I KNOW you're upset about Cameron, I KNOW you aren't feeling this thing with Ava/Persephone, and I KNOW you're conflicted about Alycia. You can't HIDE from me Haleigh, you never could. EVERYTIME someone dies or otherwise disappears, you fall back into this cold persona, like nothing affects you.... but I can see it still does. This isn't going to go away... you've just got to FACE it... and you're going to START by getting OUT of that damned office."
Haleigh said nothing in reply... in truth... he'd hit everything right on. She knew he'd been giving her some slack these last few days... but she had to have expected he'd reach the end of his rope someday. She didn't want to deal with it all, and had been procrastinating it. How could she BEGIN to get over Cameron? How could she come to accept the 'hostile takeover' she perceived to have been Persephone's involvement in her sister's end? And how could she even THINK about supporting Alycia after what had gone down between them, even though she thought it fitting that Stavros spend the rest of his days in a federal penitentiary? She didn't know where to start.... so instead... she called after her 'babies': the now FOUR dogs in her care, including Cameron's great dane, Nora.

Nicolas checked his smile as he prepared to leave the apartment. It was time for him to see Morgan, talk to her. He had already een enough of the proceedings involving Stavros for a lifetime. Besides, he could always "see" whatever he wished as he wished, so he decided that he needed to get away from it all.
He was dressed in a pair of jeans with a white collared shirt and matching K-Swiss sneakers, deciding that he would dispense with formailities for today, at least for now. He had spent most of the extreme early morning managing his eurpoean assets via satellite. He was taking a well-deserved rest from suits for a moment at least.
Nicolas teleported to the hallway outside of morgan's suite. s he knocked on the door, he produced a bouquet of sunflowers in a vase with a magician's flourish.
"Rise and shine, sweetheart. I come bearing gifts! Can you come out and play?!"
He chuckled to himself as he waited for Morgan to answer.

[ Delilah pressed the earphones of her ipod tighter into her ears as she ran. Central Park could be lovely when the sun was just right, and when there weren't too many tourists about. She liked to take a circuitous route up past the museum and back down through the ballfields, past the castle. Letting her feet take her where they would. This was how she took time for herself, alone with her thoughts. How she released the anger and stress. And on this morning, she ran long and far.
Everyone on the team needed a little space - many of their lives had been irreversably changed by their last mission. But even Delilah, who hadn't lost a sister or gained a new identity, needed some time alone.
Entering a particularly deserted section of the park, she heard an odd sound. She looked up at the trees. Birds, probably. The headphone blocked out most sounds and distorted those that did get through. She was coming upon an underpass of one of the park's many bridges when she saw the woman. She clutched a leather bag to her chest as she backed away from the man holding a knife in her direction.
Delilah didn't stop, but speeded up, using her enhanced speed to bridge the distance between her and the crime being committed. Slowing to normal speed just as she reached the bridge, she had come up very near to the man by the time he turned to her and told her to get lost. He lunged towards her as she reached up and put a hand on either side of his head. A focused high pitched noise shot from her hands directly to his eardrum. He lost conciousness, slumping to the ground. Deliliah kicked the knife away and looked to the open-mouthed woman. ]
"How...how did you do that?" she asked.
[ Delilah smiled warmly, comfortingly. ]
"Vulcan death grip."
[ The woman didn't get the joke, but in her condition, who could blame her?
Delilah pulled a cellphone from her wasteband and dialed a number, asking for someone at the department to come pick up the unconcious scumbag. As she clicked the phone closed, she nodded to the woman. ]
"Next time, give up the purse."
[ She waited with the woman until a mounted officer arrived on the scene, and then went on her way. They could take it from here. As she began to jog back towards Illustra, though, something was nagging at her. The quickening of her pulse as she had run towards that guy, the satisfaction of helping the woman, the feeling of "missing out" when she had left the patrolman to do his job...what used to be her job. She felt centered, at peace. She needed it again.
She stopped outside the bodega on the corner across from Illustra, buying a bouquet of white roses for her apartment and a few other things, then headed into the high rise and into the elevator. Projecting the sequence of lights over her custom entrypad system, the door clicked open and she entered. She threw the phone and ipod on a hall table, threw the plastic shopping bag on the couch and went to the kitchen for a vase. Filling it halfway with water she unwrapped the roses and put them in the water. She carried it with her back into the living room and placed it on the coffee table before heading down the hall to the shower.
She came out refreshed and dressed in clean sweats, picked up the bag from the couch and headed up the stairs to Alison's apartment. Arriving on the 106th floor, she rang Guardian's doorbell and waited. ]

<< after a nice yoga workout, Morgan cools down with a bottle of aquafina. she watches the screen, not really paying attention to the content of the broadcast so much as she was noticing the more sinister glint in Alycia's eye. it was as if the woman had crossed over to a new plane of ruthless behavior.>>

who could that be at THIS time!
<< Morgan grabbed a towel and made her way through the penthouse and out into the larger open area toward the door. Tinkerbell was nearby...curious to see who was there as well.>>

Nicolas smiled his winningest smile and gave Morgan the flowers. She was dressed in a yoga uniform that flattered, and he was appreciative. As she let him in and asked what brought him there, he did something he had never done to a woman EVER: Nicolas was at a momentary loss for words. He paused, watching Morgan for a moment, while he thought to himself.
What HAS brought me up here? Is now even to time to talk to her about ANYTHING at all???!!! Hold on....Nicolas, be cool. Just talk to her. Nevermind that she could probably turn you into a toad, just talk to her. Besides, Karen or Ororo would probably have mercy on your ass if all else fails.
Nicolas cleared his throat and spoke. His voice was deep and smooth and his demeanor regained its usual composure.
"Well, it has been a few days since I saw ANYONE around here, and I thought that maybe you wouldn't mind a little company. I have a few things to discuss with you but I would prefer hanging out with you just as much. All work and no play make us ALL a little dull, don't you think? What say we chat a bit over breakfast?"

just give me a moment to refresh myself and change, and we can have a bite to eat...and you can ....."conversate" as you call it. Meanwhile, Tinkerbell can keep you company.
<< looking him over, Morgan smirked to herself and laughed softly as she walked away, leaving a curious tinkerbell to stare at Nicolas very intently. the enchanted familiar was not too comfortable with such an immense being being in her mistress' apartment...and so she watched his every move...following him as he made his way to the sunken in "sitting room". the younger kitten that Haleigh had given Morgan was in this area, resting on the ottoman and Tinkerbell immediately took her "spot" on the large, plush leather sectional, her blue eyes still firmly fixed on Nicolas. Siamese were not known for being the friendliest of felines, as Haleigh had found out long ago.>>
<< Morgan was now in her chamber of dreams, in the master bathroom, showering and lavishing herself before getting ready for her little breakfast date. Nicolas would see pictures of Morgan both in her full super model "persona" and in more relaxed moments with Alison, Delilah and other celebrity friends of hers...most notably Madonna, Diddy, and Boris Kodjoe. With Karen back in Soho, This was the first time he had been to Morgan's penthouse for something OTHER than a battle related situation and he was finally able to appreciate the cutting edge decor of the spacious living area. With the exception of Tinkerbell and the kitten He was here ALONE, in the penthouse of Illustra's most celebrated super model. >>

Nicolas watched Morgan put away the flowers and accept his invitation to eat and talk. As he watched her walk into the other area to get ready, he could feel the cats watching him. He understood their apprehension with him and so he decided t0 let them have the chairs, preferring to stand as he waited. As he stood there, he noticed the amazing decor of the room itself. While Nicolas made sure his surroundong were..comfortable, they did not match this amazing sense of personal style. In addition, he noticed that Morgan knew some of the biggest names in entertainment, people he had not met before. The biggest celeb he had rated was Bono, and then only through his father's philanthropic works.
Damn, I need an upgrade to something like this.
As he watched and waited, Nicolas thoughts went back to Morgan herself. Nicolas found interacting with Morgan to be quite...invigorating. It was fun to speak with a powerful woman whose thoughts were hidden from him. It made it more dangerous emotionally. He always knew before how any woman he dealt with really felt, so there was no risk. But this woman, she could like him or not, accept him or not , and there was nothing he could do about it. That thought alone made her intriguing to him. Her beauty and sense of style made her attractive to him, and he believed that the feeling was mutual. But he didn't KNOW, did he??
So Nicolas sits and waits for Morgan to present herself, so he could see more of what this lady was about...

<< As Nicolas and Morgan began the proper firs stages of "getting to know you" and Delilah went to see Alison, it was clear that Haleigh and Persephone were having a difficult time adjusting..their lives truly effected by the seige perilous in a way no one else in the six could readily identify with. this was something THESE two women would have to come to terms with and eventually that meant the two of them confronting each other and realizing they BOTH had a stake in these changes.>>
<< the last few days at Illustra were surprisingly peacefull. the members of the six were able to "hide out" from the political fire storm that Alycia was REVELING in...and the COMPANY operations of Illustra were moving along on the floors far beneath the private residential floors.>>

<< after a few compliments and pleasantries were exchanged, Morgan and Nicolas left illustra for a breakfast date. now eating a posh, exclusive cafe on the upper east side , Morgan sits across a small table from Nicolas. She notes how youthfull and handsome he is. very appealing to behold. there's an awkwardness to him right now though...he's used to being able to "read" the women he tries to court. she is unlike anyone he's dealt with and she knows it.>>
<< Morgan was a known ball buster. she tolereated VERY few men in her life...a lasting scar of her father's mistreatment...she would sooner kill a man before letting him dominating her....and it was always hard for her to open up..to trust, so she kept things simple.>>

As Nicolas sits at the eatery with Morgan, he takes a moment to simply watch her a bit. Just becase he cannot read a girls mind doesn't mean that he will not try to at least read her body language. He notices her watching him back, and liking what she sees. But at the same time, he senses a bit of a wall, and it is not the psi screen. The more he has learned about her (and eveyone in the Six) and her past, a theme seems to emerge: men that hurt the women around them. For him this presented an obstacle to any meaningful interaction. Despite the risk, he decided that Morgan's bullshit meter was too strong, so he smiled as he prepared to shoot straight with her.
"Morgan, the first thing I want to do is...thank you. The past few weeks have been definitely unsettling for me to say the least. Considering that you didn't have to, I want you to know that I truly appreciate the fact that you took the time to reach out to me. I hope that this is only the first of many opportunities for me to show my gratitude for your kindness and my appreciation for the person...the woman that you are."
Nicolas looked into Morgan's eyes as he made this statement. It was obvious that it was heartfelt, and he held her gaze for a moment, then smiled slightly.
"If you don't mind right now I would like to simply enjoy your company, chat about whatever you want, and just relax a bit. I do have a couple of things to ask you, but they can wait, unless you are TOO curious."
Nicolas winked at her as he poked at his food, waiting for her to respond...

As Nicolas spoke, she sat back in her chair. her over sized sunglasses were hardly enough to deter the stare of passers by as they whispered...realizing that it was "that super model, Morgan". It was nice to be noticed, to be recognized after all this time, so she didnt show much reaction.>>
hmmm yes.
<< she nodded as she ate some fresh cantaloupe and replied in an icy voice>>
well after everything that's happened...by the time i came back from the Seige Perilous...so many things had changed and I realized the GRAVITY of how FORTUNATE I was.... that gem is not something many people can live to tell about if they are pulled into it but somehow....i was favored by the goddess.
<< she takes a moment to drink her iced water.>>
We of the Six have never had many men among us who could handle the dynamics. Some didnt DESERVE our trust...others...well, they were only meant to be with us for a time. But one thing is clear, we all come from pain and the men of the group..at least in the past have never seemed to understand that...which is why most of them arent here NOW.
<< Morgan thought about Cameron, and how bitterly those two fought. He was not used to being among women he couldnt enforce his will upon..or women that weren't impressed by him. Outside of Alexis and Haleigh, Cameron HARDLY found favor from Morgan, Alison and Alycia and he only received professional courtesy from Delilah.>>
Still....when i finally realized which way was up, it was nice to know that my mother had someone so strong..and so gallant looking after her. I understand you came to us by way of Ororo. to be HAND PICKED by her? that is an honor indeed...considering her dim view of other members of the six in the past. Thank YOU for not being like the other men...for not adding to my belief that all men are monsters.

as for Alycia, she's been reveling in the thrill of flushing out Stavros, her busting Senator Stryker has been a major coup for her as well. I see her gaining a position of power within the federal government. Something that will elevate her to a level that is befitting her but will MORE than make her cross swords with HALEIGH in the near future.
But this issue with Stavros, Haleigh, Persephone/Ava is not over...not yet. Tonight will be the defining moment...something that will not come as a surprise to some...but for others it will seem rather shocking.
It involves Alycia as well.
:: She sipped on her spearmint tea.::
I've been taking some time...to myself. Something that I havent been able to do in quite a while. Just reading through Cameron's journals and reflecting. We've come very far Delilah in more than just a chronological way and the fact that we are experiencing a CALM like this...is a testament. You're here with us now...and you've been through so much just BECAUSE of that. How are you feeling?

Nicolas watched Morgan work the room without even TRYING. To see her in action was incredible. He nodded and smiled at her compliment of him, and he looked intently at her as she asked her question. He deftly picked up a strawberry from the fruit bowl and offered it for her to eat. As she tasted the fruit, he smiled and answered, his voice deep, resonant, and designed to seduce.
"Sweetheart, there are many things I would LOVE to ask of you, but most of them are much better when given, not requested if you get my drift."
He winked at her knowingly as he straightened, then taking a somewhat more businesslike tone.
"One thing I have done the last few days is look into Illustra. The company is incredibly strong, with great prospects. I have an interest in creating a partnership with my own set of companies. There are many things I think we can help with, from less expensive and more efficient shipping to providing a base of operations in EVERY major and minor port city on the planet through our merchant operations. I wanted to buy some stock in illustra and maybe one day even earn a seat on the board, but the first step for me is to ask you if any of this is to your approval. I believe that I have much to offer you...err... that my COMPANIES have much to offer Illustra. Just think of it and let me know at your leisure. I am in no hurry. As for the other thing..."
Nicolas leans closer to her and his voice lightens to a whisper.
"I really believe in what we do as the Six. I am prepared to give my life to do the right thing if necessary. But the last caper of ours made me feel not as ...useful...at times as I would like. To this end I have been designing a weapon that I would use when necessary, but I was hoping that you could give it your own...special blessing. What do you think?"
Nicolas sat back and watched for Morgan's response...

offering you a contract to be the key signature male model of Illustra.
<< Nicolas spoke of the last caper and his desire to make a weapon...a personal talisman it seemed and going a step further to ask MORGAN to bless the weapon with her magick.>>

Nicolas smiled as Morgan gently warned him about attempting to seduce. He knew she was powerful, he had seen her might and anger firsthand, but in the end he only knew one way to deal with her: with respect, honesty and straightforwardness.
"The world is filled with danger, but some things (winks at Morgan) are worth the risk."
He listened as she spoke of what she had in mind in terms of a partnership. A model?! Not such a reach, could even be fun. He paid enough for his clothes, he may as well pose for pics while he wore them.
"That's sounds neat, although I wonder if this isn't just you enjoying the thought of dressing me every day. Your own personal chocolate Ken doll."
(chuckles)
As she addresesed his concerns about his issues with magic, she stood and caressed his hin. He unconsciously licked his lips as she did so, taking the opportunity to take her form in from a different angle, one that was unusual for one as tall as he. He grinned widely at the remark abbout her being the talisman he would need. He responded smoothly as she began to turn, stroking her hand gently before it left his face.
"Then clearly I have much to be thankful for, that is, IF I "have" you. As a talisman."
Nicolas allowed the comment to follow Morgan as she walked away from him. He rose to his full height, stretched, and used his long stride to catch her, opening the door and escorting her out of the eatery.
I wonder what's next??

Pressing the palm of his hand against the office door, the soft creeking of the hidges immediately alerted the attorney of his presence. Seeing her turn quickly, the door closed tightly on cue, sealing her from the outside world.
"Miss Barnett."
Stepping forward, closing the gap between himself and Alycia, Stavros' thick Greek accent made it almost impossible for any American to understand what he was staying...but in Alycia's case, she had encountered him enough to understand EXACTLY what he spoke.
"You did not really believe that I could be kept in those American prisons...."
Continuing to move forward, Stavros reached Alycia's desk only to run a steady finger across the dark wood.
"Every puzzel has a solution. Every guard has a price."
Looking at her with cold, stern eyes, Stavros' even temper before to crumble into nothing more than rage.
"But before I left this country, I wanted to come and pay the woman who destoryed my buisness AND my family a little visit. You took everything I built and turned it into a joke. You took my daughter away from me. And now, you will pay with your life."

This was the best place to come to get away from it all. It seemed more a vacation spot than an actual home because it was far enough out of the hustle bustle of the city and Haleigh didn't come here often enough. It was a wonderful place to cut the dogs loose for excercise, especially on a day like this: sunshine, a light occaisional breeze, and the temperature around 75 degrees. Haleigh and Zach strolled through the courtyard garden, which was filled with wildly growing japanese honeysuckle, pink oleander, and strategically placed weeping willows with benches in the shade beneath them. They took turns tossing tennis balls out for the dogs. The soft fragrance of the various flowers wafted through the air, adding to the sense of tranquility that helped Haleigh relax, think, and reflect. Zach wisely didn't try to talk too much. As they rounded a curve and came upon the opening Haleigh had brought Blaze to not long ago, Haleigh slowed. The sight of the monuments framed by walls of purple orchids is moving and always serves to ground Haleigh. Large stone crosses serve as memorials to those she has lost over the years. Haleigh knows she must add two MORE crosses to the clearing.... one for Cameron and one for Ava.
But what ABOUT Ava? wasn't Persephone technically Ava now? she had Ava's memories, Ava's life experiences... Ava's emotional ties... but Ava's very SOUL had moved on to another place. Haleigh didn't know WHAT she was going to do about Persephone. As soon as Morgan had brouht them all back, everyone split up... because each one of them could feel how THICK the tension was.... how uneasy things were... and Haleigh hadn't so much as LOOKED at Persephone since she turned her back on the transformation. Would she be able to eventually call Persphone her sister's name without feeling a stab of pain or anger?
And how to deal with Cameron was less than simple as well... the last words he had left her in the letter had touched her deeply, bruised her deeply. If she'd had the courage to tell him how she felt... if she'd had the awareness to be confident he felt the same way... would he have disappeared like he did? What had he been in search of? And had she given up on him and turned to Zach too soon? Haleigh was at a loss.... for the first time in a long time.... she found herself with more questions than answers, and the reality of that hit her hard. What kind of intelligence mogul was she, that she knew so little of her SELF?
In spite of all that, one thing Haleigh DID know was what she might say to Cameron if she had a chance now. she looked at Zach for a moment, and then spoke softly.
"Thank you... for bringing me here.... for getting me out of there. There's something I have to do."

Hearing the woman lash out the way she did; further defending Sharon Kelly and how it was 'all his fault', drove Stavros from the once reserved and cold man into absolute anger. Slamming his hand down on Alycia's desk, the loud noise instantly overpowered her whiney voice allowing him to speak.
"SHARON KELLY was a power hungry LEECH who took every opportunity to undermind the law and further her own agenda! I deeply recent the hypocrasy of you STANDING here LECTURING me about the wrongful death of a woman who DESERVED EXACTY what she got. I had NO ties to what MysTech did to her. I had no knowledge of what they were PLANNING to do with the equipment I supplied them with. But let me assure you NOW, Miss Barnett! I take FULL responsibility for her death! To know I help rid the world of a conniving, unstable, tyrant, is worth WHATEVER you throw at me! Because whatever revenge efforts you set forth, will NEVER bring her back!"
As Stavros spoke, he made his way around the desk slowly, never breaking his eye contact from Alycia. He would not leave this building until he took Alycia's last breath from her body and exact a little revenge of his own.

you're out of your mind!
:: Stavros was coming closer as he gloated that no matter what she did...it could never bring Sharon back...and those words shot to Alycia's core...realizing that all she had done...really WOULDNT change anything ...and all the strife between herself and Haleigh, especially now that Ava was gone. Had it really been worth it?::
......don't come ANY CLOSER!

Zach made no attempt to stall Haleigh as she faded from view. He played with the dogs so more, equally relaxed in the serene garden as the sun set on the horizon.
Haleigh appeared in a secluded, well covered space not too far from Cameron's grave. It was dusk now, and almost nighttime, giving Haleigh plently of privacy. She emerged from the shadows, making her way slowly to the freshly disturbed dirt of Cameron's final resting place. In her hand, she held a single red rose, and as she knelt to lay it... she found herself settling to her knees, unable to get up. She felt as though she had the weight of the world on her shoulders, and the loss of Cameron was something she had to deal with now. She covered her eyes with one hand, beginning to cry softly int he moonlight. But she didnt let herself weep too long... for there were many things she knew he needed to hear and she didn't doubt he'd be watching.
"Cameron..." She began, in a shaky voice. "I think you must be wondering what I'm doing with Zach. Or maybe you know... maybe you can see that as much as I loved you... I grew tired of waiting for you... and I grew weary of watching you spend yourself on every other woman... and that I began to think 'my god.... will he choose ANYONE else but me?' It was that realization that chased me away from you. I just.... wanted you to know... I'm not mad at you. It wasn't entirely your fault... I was never able to say what I wanted to... and maybe I was never supposed to. But despite all that... I need to tell you now.... that no matter WHO I'm with now... or in the future... there will always be a place for you in my heart. I love Zach, hes been very good to me, and I'm going to marry him... but I didnt want to until I could tell YOU that I'd always love you. I.... hope you can understand that... and be happy for me."
Haleigh sat for a few moments in silence, composing herself. She didn't want to stay too much longer.... seeing his headstone made his death more real and she should probably be getting back to Illustra anyways. She looked up, at the starry night sky, and then around to make sure no one was around to see her disappear into thin air.
****************
Illustra, moments later:
As soon as she appeared in her suite, she was met with earsplitting alarms reporting danger on the 99th floor... a shattered perimeter window. Despite knowing it was ALYCIAS office that the broken window was in... and knowing she would probably have to see Alycia if she went to check it out... She went anyway. She was first and foremost responsible for the security of Illustra and it appeared to have been breached. Haleigh took the express elevator and rushed to the scene of the struggle. Alycia's office door was shut and locked but it presented little obstacle to Haleigh, who shouldered it roughly to force it open. She came upon Alycia, standing near the window and looking shell shocked. Haleigh furrowed her brow, but instead of asking alycia what had happened, she went to the window herself and looked out... and down... and her enhanced vision allowed her to see great detail of the figure sprawled out on the pavement 99 stories down. The dead body of Stavros Cassadine had already attracted attention and sirens could be heard wailing in the distance after Haleigh deactivated Illustra's alarms.
Haleigh turned quickly to stare at Alycia, a scowl developing. She didn't much LIKE Stavros... in fact... Haleigh HATED him for dragging Ava halfway across the world... but she had grown to like the idea of him spending the rest of his miserable life in prision. Death was too easy an out.... but now Alycia had wiped that all away... by killing him. Haleigh didnt know exactly how it went, but she spoke to Alycia with spite anyway because she ALREADY had a problem with the way the attourney had been handling her business lately.
"You.... what is it, the American Court System isnt good enough for you anymore? what, you resigned from the DA office, so now you can deal your OWN brand of justice? When's it going to END, Alycia? Have enough people DIED yet?? Well... you KILLED Stavros... my sister's GONE... have you gotten everything you wanted?? And here's a better question.... does Sharons DEATH hurt any LESS now that you've finished you little tyraid? Has revenge filled the void left by her absence? OR don't you STILL feel the exact same grief? and isn't she STILL dead?"

:: Alison opens her mouth in astonishment as Alison teases her about catfighting with Morgan over Nicolas. the very IDEA.::
HA! I wouldnt dream of it! Nicolas is more Morgan's type...I prefer a more mellow man and we both know it takes a man of stern stuff to tolerate WHAT I can dish out.
:: putting her hand up as the pillow is tossed at her, Alison can't help but to laugh a bit. it appears she's not the only one who has had the chance to "lighten up" a bit following the return from Greece.::
:: as Delilah moved on, wondering about her future and if she would like to return to the police force or find a new career in Illustra, she turned to Alison for advice.::
:: Alison looked over to her friend, and saw the freshness in her bright blue eyes, the renewed spirit in Delilah.::
Delilah, in several possible time threads, I can see you thriving in whatever your choose to do. You're spirit, your resolve are stronger than most and despite your own hard past with your family...you have a resiliency that allows you to triumph over things that some grown men couldnt handle. You have prooven to be the HUMANITY of this team more than once...but still not a doormat by anymeans.
You are at your best when you are in ACTION. If you wanted to return to the police force, if that is what you truly feel in your heart...then my advice is to follow that feeling. You know the Six will always be there to back you when you need it and you obviously have your place here with us.
We all have our lives outside of the Six and you needn't lose yours or feel you dont deserve one for worry that you'll "short change" the team. You've risked your life more than most would for people in this team and you're apart of the core now. You're a close friend of Morgan's...and having come to know you better myself, I consider you to be a good friend as well.
:: pausing for a moment::
If you wanted a career in illustra, there are all sorts of areas to explore. we would have to talk about what exactly wanted in a career with Illustra.....
:: Alison stopped suddenly and looked to the right, over Delilah and toward the panoramic glass window..::
Alycia! STAVROS!?
:: at that moment, Delilah would most likely hear the unexpected sound of a body CRASHING through glass and a screaming man falling to his death. but because they were ABOVE the 99th floor, they wouldnt actually SEE the body fall past their window.::
Alycia was in her office....Stavros surprised her and ATTACKED HER!
:: standing up, letting the comforter fall to the couch, Alison was able to rearrange the molecules of her clothing and she was now wearing her "one shoulder" designed catsuit::
we must get down to the 99th floor at once!
:: Alison BLINKS herself and Delilah down to the 99th floor, into the circular vestibule of Alycia's satellite office and the two women rush in to find Alycia in shock, standing by the panoramic window which is now badly damaged...the sound of air rushing in and out.::
:: Haleigh had already arrived, and the two women could HEAR her berating Alycia, who appeared to be too stunned to respond just yet. Alison rushed to Alycia's side, and pulled her back from the edge, letting Delilah step forward and her perfect vision allowing her to peer down below to see the body of a man far below splattered on the ground::
Alycia! what happened? are you allright?
:: she knew the first step was to snap Alycia OUT of her nearly catatonic state and Haleigh was in a less than charitable mood right now. Alison took Alycia's hand...::
Haleigh, ease up on Alycia. None of us were here...we need to find out how and WHY this happened before we pass judgement.

:: After her little chat with her....husband, Persephone decided she needed some air. The day was slowly turning into night as the sun set in the distance. Persephone stood on her balcony looking out into the horizon feeling a lot calmer than previously. The wind blew throughout her long locks, pushing them back behind her shoulders. Everything was quiet and serene. Even the busy streets below seemed to slow. ::
:: Closing her eyes and inhaling a breath, her moments of tranquility soon ended when she heard a massive crash below. Even without her enhanced hearing, the crash seemed to echo in the air. Jumping slightly at the noise, Persephone immediately looked down watch as a man fell from the windows of Illustra and into the streets below. The moment he landed on his back in a bloodied heap, Persephone saw who it truly was. Stavros. With wide eyes, Ava's feelings seemed to wash over Persephone, making her feel like she had seen her own father fall to his death. Sirens could already be heard in the distance and people began to crowd around. Immediately Persephone's body was engulfed in a tornado of winds as she disappeared from her balcony and reappeared in the dark alley way below. Slowly walking out from the alley, no one seemed to notice the goddess because their eyes were all fixed on Stavros' corpse. Picking up her speed into a fast walk, soon Persephone was jogging across the street and pushing her way through the crowd until she managed to make her way to the front. ::
:: Stepping forward slowly, people soon began to realize that Stavros' 'daughter' was present with them. Whispers and gasps began to wash through the crowd as they all seemed to look at Persephone then down at the very dead Stavros. Taking one more step forward, her healed shoe sunk into the blood that pooled around his body. Looking up and over her shoulder, her enhanced vision zeroed in on the broken window, and Alycia standing by it. Alison appeared moments later to usher Alycia away from the scene, making Persephone turn back to Stavros. ::
"Back up.."
:: Her voice was low but stern. Few people listened, others sudden stopped talking. ::
"BACK UP!"
:: Her voice roared above the noise, instantly making the people back away, creating a larger space between them and the scene. Persephone wasn't emotional, nor did she express any emotions on her face. In fact, she was eerily cold and calm. Even though she could feel Ava's pain, she didn't allow that to overtake her...but she did feel the need to protect Stavros' body. This entire intergration was not her cup of tea, and she sincerely wished she hadn't done it... ::

<< Persephone wasnt the only one outside of Illustra for this shocking occurrence. Spellbinder and Rampage were returning to Illustra when suddenly, a BODY came crashing out of a window from the upper half of Illustra!>>
HECATE! a body falling from the window!?
<< Morgan pointed as the body fell, looking more like a manequinn than a real person. as it crashed down to the ground, there were screams and already sirens were wailing in the far distance.>>
That's MY building!
<< she shriekd as she rushed across the street toward the office park surrounding the grounds of Illustra, unaware that Persephone had already made the scene. Pushing her way through the crowd of people, Morgan and Nicolas made their way to the front.>>
I'm OWNER this building, the CEO of Illustra...step back!
<< realizing that someone else had started moving the crowd back, Morgan finally came to the center of the throng.>>
Persephone....Ava....
<< Morgan saw Persephone, kneeling over the broken body of none other than STAVROS. with her recent passage through the seige perilous, Morgan could almost GUEST what kind of turmoil this must be placing the woman in. to see this body on the ground, having fallen from such a height...it was truly disgusting but Morgan had seen much worse in Limbo and so she didnt show any outward reaction of shock.>>
<< turning to Nicolas and whispering....>>
Nicolas, use your telepathic powers to send these people away! We do not need this now....We don't know what's happened and we don't want to risk Illustra OR ...US coming under scrutiny. Stavros being DEAD on Illustra's grounds is going to raise ALOT of eyebrows unless we can find a way to do some damage control and FAST.
<< Morgan stepped forward closwer to Persephone. Looking up a bit, she saw where Stavros' exited...it appeared to be the 99th floor! but there was no site of anyone by the window at this moment. >>
Do you know..what happened? how he came to be HERE?
<< Morgan was not remotely SORRY that Stavros was dead, but there was the obvious question, which she just asked.>>

:: Hearing another woman's voice, Persephone looked up to see Morgan and Nicolas pushing their way through the crowd. Paparazzi had already fled the scene, trying to get the best shot of Stavros' 'daughter' kneeling over her dead father. Looking back down at Stavros, Persephone was also used to gruesome sights, causing some of her own during battles in the past. But this sight seemed to make her sick to her stomach. No doubt Ava's doing. Pushing her weight off the ground, hearing Morgan's question, Persephone shook her head. ::
"I don't know. I was on my balcony and I heard a crash. I saw Stav--"
:: Looking around to see the crowd was continuing to grow, Persephone knew she had to keep up apperiences. ::
"--My...father falling. His advanced knowledge of techonology most likely helped him get through the security points and up to Miss Barnett's office."
:: Placing her hand on her stomach, Persephone felt ill and faint, but kept herself composed for the most part. Closing her eyes for a moment to regain her barrings, finally, the police and EMT's arrived, pushing through the crowd. ::

Nicolas was enjoying Morgan's company on the way back to Illustra when they saw the body fall. It was already too late for the person falling by the time they noticed. He rushed over with Morgan and, at her urging, began to fill all of the non-emergency reponders with a dread about the place. All of them, including papparazzi, began to exit the scene quickly. Any camera would find that their film was wrinkled, data cards erased. Now only the EMts and ploice officers would be able to join them here. He used hi TK to locate th source of the exit frim Illustra...Floor 999!!?? That was A;ycia's office. Sure enough, he "found" her there, in a state of shock, along with Haleigh and what must be a psiscreened Alison, as he could "find" her body with his TK but no mind to sense. He whispered into Morgan's ear.
"The officers and EMTs will handle it from here. I think it best for us to make sure things are OK upstairs, There will be questions, and I would rather know what's going on before THEY do. Besides, I think Haleigh is not very happy with Alycia at the moment."

yes, we'd better get up there and make it look as though no one is about.
<< Morgan whisks herself, Nicolas an Persephone from the office park outside and around Illustra up to the 99th floor, right where everyone else was standing. leaving the area outside of Illustra where Stavros landed untouched and without anyone about.>>
<< Morgan saw Alison holding the hand of a distraught Alycia.>>

[ Delilah began to nod as Alison advised her on her future. But there was no time to really think about it or respond as the distinct noise of shattered glass reached her ears and Alison teleblinked them to Alycia's office.
She walked to the broken window and carefully leaned out enough to look down on the street below. Her keen eyesight brought her the image of the body of Stavros Cassadine. She leaned back inside the room and turned back to the room. ]
"Stavros is dead...but then again 99 floors will do that to you."
[ It sounded like a joke, but her tone was serious. She looked from Haleigh to Alycia. Which one of them had done this? Or both? Her detective's eyes scanned the room for clues. Had it been self-defense? An accident? Or murder?
First things first. ]
"Haleigh...Alycia...are both of you allright?"

:: Alison took her by the hand and lead her away from the edge of the damaged window and over to her executive chair. The Seer asked Haleigh to back off...and at that moment, Alycia finally snapped back into focus...jumping a bit with surprise as it all seemed so..so UNREAL ::
:: her eyes immediately locked onto Haleigh::
First Stavros..and then YOU? is my office NOT SAFE from INTRUDERS!? AT LEAST I HAD THE COURAGE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT HIM. Where the hell were YOU when reports about his escape were ALL OVER THE DAMN MEDIA!? Maybe if you had been here EARLIER...this wouldnt have happened!
just...SHUT THE HELL UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE YOU STUPID WOMAN.
:: Alycia was beyond tired of Haleigh and her haughty morgal judgements... and right now she felt like she was being ambushed..she was ready to FIGHT.::
:: Alison spoke up and attracted Alycia's attentionshe looked at Alison and Delilah and the newly arrived Morgan, Nicolas and Persephone...::
:: she was still shaken and it was evident in her facial expressions.::
It all..happened so fast!
I came back to Illustra to retrieve some documents... and there he was!
:: pointing to the door::
it was dark, after hours and i didnt expect anyone to be about...but he came out of nowhere...saying that "every guard had their price and that no prision in america could hold him." My guards were NO where to be found...and apparently the SECURITY that Davidoff crows about leaves MUCH to be desired...since HE got into the building and ALL THE WAY UP TO THIS FLOOR.
:: she took a glass of water that Alison was holding out to her.::
He gloated...delighted in Sharon's death and said he was GLAD she died and that she DESERVED it and then he said he would make sure I wasn't alive to see any kind of satisfaction. I told him to stay back but he ATTACKED me!
I defended myself.
:: pointing to the golf club on the other side of her desk that she had struck him with.::
he stumbled and fell..out of the window! It all happened...so fast.
:: shooting Haleigh a disdainfull look::
and for those of you who would like to play "Jessica Fletcher" from Murder, She Wrote just check the SECURITY CAMERAS...

<< Morgan looked around the office, the cold air coming in was making it rather chilly. It seemed that all the "action" had been confined to Alycia's executive office within the suite and everywhere else out in the vestibule and other conference rooms was pretty much undisturbed.>>
<< listening to what Alycia tells, them...Morgan shakes her head.>>
serves him right. he shouldnt have been here in the first place and he attacked Alycia so she had EVERY right to defend herself.
<< in an icy voice>>
allright ladies...Alycia isnt a SUSPECT here. If Stavros' dumb ass came to this building..he's lucky he didnt get discovered by ME, ALISON or someone else...either way he was going to wind up DEAD.
<< folding her arms as she looks around>>
what i want to know is..how could a HUMAN BEING be able to bypass the supposed "state of the art" security?
<< alycia HAD made a point about that.>>
and more importantly, what are we going to do about our not so dearly departed guest on the office park grounds below?
I think I should just send the body to Limbo and let the demons have it. Then have Nicolas mind wipe those authorities who do show up while Alison casts a spell over the rest of the city.

"I don't think that will be necessary."
[ Morgan, in her usual way, took the lead and suggested a plan. Delilah agreed that the security of Illustra did seem to have lapsed...but she forgot about that as Morgan suggested covering up the death.
She turned quickly to Morgan, her head snapping around, a slightly shocked expression on her face. ]
"A coverup? Morgan, you can't be serious. Alycia acted in self-defense; we don't need a coverup. We have proof as she said in the security tapes. Wiping people's minds? You can't mess with human beings that way. It's not right. It's unecessary. A frivolous use of our powers."

:: After being transported by Spellbinder up to the 99th floor, Persephone kept her arms crossed along her chest, staying quiet. She eyed Alycia, feeling aboslute contempt toward the woman for no logical reason at all. As she discribed what had happened, Morgan chimed in saying that perhaps it would be best to send Stavros' body to Limbo and wiping the minds of the people who saw what had happened. Delilah quickly jumped in, opposed to the idea. A level headed woman indeed. ::
"I agree. We can't just send his body to Limbo. You all might dispise, but he has a family who loves him. Who would want a proper barrial. Not to be cast off into some dimention like a piece of garb--"
:: Stopping, Persephone realized that she was becoming emotional to the fact that they wanted to disgard Stavros, a man she never even MET. This entire integration thing was becoming too overwhelming, even for Persephone to handle. And this time it was quite obvious to the others. Shaking her head, Persephone's eyes shut. ::
"I apologize. I don't know what..."

Click! The shutter of Ethan Spencer's camera clicked away several frames of film as the body of Stavros Cassadine fell from the skyrise building of Illustra, landing in the business park. This was incredible really. At first he couldn't understand why the people protecting the Cassadine family would want a measly attorney dead. Now he knew why. He made sure to get pictures of Alycia with the golf club. With Stavros dead, he could have easily just forgot about the job. He had already been paid a little as collateral, but he figured the dead body of Alycia Barnett would be an excellent addition to his growing list of victories. No, he would kill her and collect the rest of his bounty. He faded from view as he walked up to the body of the completely smashed body and smiled for a minute, as if he was reveling in the kill that Alycia had executed.
"I guess today is a good a day to die as any..Ms. Barnett, another time and another place.. I could see us working together..."
Ethan got closer to the body as he bent over the body of Stavros. Putting his hand over the man's face, he gently closed the man's eyes. Ethan had no idea really who Stavros was, but he figured everybody deserved a little dignity in their death. He looked up at the crashed window. He would have to penetrate Illustra. That was his next move. He continued down the side walk and went back to his room at the Parthenon Hotel, ready to plot his next move in order to get Alycia alone. This would be his greatest hit to date. He was ready to battle.

Nicolas arrived upstairs to find a shocked Alycia with the others. He listened as she recounted what occurred and Morgan and Delilah discussed options. He thought for a moment then spoke.
"Morgan, Delilah is right. There is no need to cover this up. Stavros was a fugitive who apparently came to take revenge on the lawyer responsible for his downfall. In defending herself, she stood up to Sharon's murderer. The tapes will exonerate her. In fact, she may emerge from this as a much needed example to other women out there that they need not be victims to men physically. She did what she had to do, and we are capable of standing by her without use of our powers in this case. Stavros got ewhat was coming to him, and Alycia is safe. Let's release the tapes, let the cops do their work, and everything will be fine."
Nicolas turns to Alycia.

:: Alison stood beside the sitting Alycia as Morgan immediately suggested disposing of the body and using magick and telepathy to cover this up. Delilah immediately objected and had a sound reason for it...the TAPES would proove that Alycia was protecting herself.::
:: Persephone spoke, and Alison immediately knew what was wrong with her. Watching the woman as she barged out of the office, through the vestibule and into the hallway::
Persephone's own psyche is having a much harder time integrating the emotional and "soulfull" aspects of Ava's essence. She's not herself right now..in more than one way. Logically, Persephone has NO connection to Stavros...but because of Ava's emotions and essence merged into her by the Seige Perilous...she cannot help but react to this in an emotional way.
:: Nicolas seconded Delilah's objection::
Morgan cannot be blamed for wanting to protect Alycia. After all, this woman has been one of our STRONGEST allies and liasons to the political and legal realms. What happened tonight is just as it should have. Stavros got EXACTLY what he deserved, further more, it will not impact Alycia's destiny to receive the new position of power within the federal government.
However...there is something else...Stavros didnt just come in here on a whim. he had help...and it went BEYOND those "agents of mystech" that were reported in the news. This was someone with power, but they are as elusive as the wind itself , i can't clearly "see" them yet.....a rare thing indeed.
In THIS instance, only to preserve our own saftey and secrecy...I must agree with Delilah and Nicolas.
:: Delilah knew that Alison had NO qualms about killing...she was there when Alison brought forth the frozen, severed head of Frost's father...a clear indication that Alison had murdered him after his escape from the courthouse BUT she also knew that Alison's precognition would help them to choose the best possible course of action.::
We cannot afford to be linked to this...it would bring a deep, violating scrutiny upon us and Illustra and so we need to keep ourselves scarce in this matter. Delilah can deliver the evidence to the police department. Her prior contact with Alycia both as a client AND as a colleague in matters will make her the most ideal candidate.
meanwhile, Alycia, you will stay here with us tonight. You cannot go out there alone...if you do, i sense that you will meet an untimely death...whomever helped Stavros to get this close to you, is far from finished.
:: looking to Haleigh::
Perhaps it would do us ALL some good if the security protocalls of Illustra were..."fine tuned"? and Morgan can bring back the mystical barriers that once fortified this building.

Alison asked Haleigh to go easy.... and everyone appeared almost at once asking the same questions... alycia spoke... and retaliated at Haleigh in a way that CERTAINLY didn't dissolve any of the building tension between them. Morgan suggested a cover-up, Delilah countered with telling the truth.... they did, after all, have the tapes, as Alycia so eloquently pointed out, surveillance footage from the camera Haleigh'd put out the last time she was in the office. Haleigh was nonchalant as she leaned against the desk and lit a black cigarrette.
"See... THAT'S the thing, Delilah... you don't quite have your facts straight. I have the tapes..... [turning a withering glare to Alycia] I have the PROOF that will either condemn or exonerate. Oh, sure.... she's got a likely story... but the whole WORLD knows she's out to get Stav... AND that it's personal... so who KNOWS how it will look. NOW.... I'm not an unreasonable hybrid. You need the tapes... I want something in return. And you'd do well to WATCH YOUR TONE with me.... you've NO REASON to speak to me like that.... I've extended you every PROFESSIONAL and PERSONAL courtesy I could afford... and you SPIT IN MY FACE when you went out to Greece with the INTENTION of killing my sister after I ASKED you not to... So... POLICIA.... listen here: Stand up and FACE me... you give me the respect i DESERVE and answer my goddamn questions.... or so HELP me... this STUPID WOMAN.... will hang you out to dry."
Haleigh was aware that Persephone had left in a hurry, claiming to need air... but that wasn't something she was ready to deal with....right NOW... she had her sights set on Alycia.

<< Morgan looked at Delilah as her best friend countered her suggestion of a cover up. Nicolas also sided with Delilah and Persephone offered a rather emotional response that made Morgan look at HER as though she had just come from another planet.>>
since when is SHE so hung up about what we do with Stavros Cassadine?
<< Alison clued them in on what her problem was and Morgan nodded.>>
Do think this is something that will pose a problem for the team? will she be less effective now?
<< before they got side tracked on that issue..something that would certainly represent itself later....Alison also sided with Delilah and Nicolas for matters of protection and security of the six and Illustra. She was mildly irritated...she didnt see the need to respect or preserve his dead body. he should feed the demons as far as SHE was concerned.>>
Allright, points well taken. But Alison has obviously seen something on the horizon that threatens Alycia's life. Stavros is finally dead and Alycia shouldnt even have to WORRY about this. She did what she had to do. Anybody else in this room would have done the same thing. Its time to let this chapter END and those tapes will do just that.
<< just as it seem to be the best thing for Delilah to deliver the tapes to the police, Haleigh responded in a way that caused Morgan to look at her in disbellief.>>
HALEIGH have you gone MAD?
<< Morgan said as her icy violet eyes widened with dismay.>>
how DARE you suggest hanging Alycia out to dry! May i remind you that she is a guest in MY building...she's MY friend and I will NOT see her go down for this. Not only that..but this happened on the grounds of Illustra...if we DONT give this evidence to the police, they will be HERE, not to mention the FBI and other officials...and we could all be found out for who and what we REALLY ARE... ALL of us Haleigh.
This goes BEYOND you trying put Alycia in her place (and picking a most inopportune time to do it). You gave her courtesy yes and SHE's helped to cover YOUR ASS just as she did ALL of us...remember the Citadle? remember NERVOUS?
Whatever happened between you two prior to the Greece caper...it does NOT give you the right to do this to her. Despite Alycia's intentions, Your sister ISNT dead. WE went to Greece to INSURE that didnt happen and to make sure that justice was served. Stavros' death tonight was his own damn fault and here you stand...acting like HIS FLESH AND BLOOD with your treacherous comments you are acting like...HIM.<< gesturing out to the broken window>>
From the start of this... The two of you had deep emotional investments in this situation and they were OPPOSING. It's understandable that you might have fallen out...but to come to THIS POINT!? where you not only jeaopardize Alycia's life..but ALL of our lives? According to Alison, You came IN here berating Alycia the moment after this happened...what did you EXPECT her to do...just stand there and TAKE IT? we both know she's not like that.
I can't believe your behavior right now.
<< she was deeply disturbed by what Haleigh had just said. she didnt know how SERIOUS the woman was..but Morgan couldnt risk anything...not after all they'd gone through to avenge Sharon's death and knowing how grim this could get as Alison described it>>
Illustra is MY property and i control ALL therein. I am also the leader of this team. I can't allow you to risk our lives and i WONT allow you to hurt Alycia. You WILL cooperate and release those tapes to Delilah or i will be forced to extract them MYSELF and i DARE anyone in this room to TRY to stop me.
You may revel in the thought of hurting Alycia, of seeing her be destroyed by this accident...which itself makes me wonder if youre OLD WAYS are starting to come back. When It was revealed what your link to Stavros was..and it SEEMED like you could have been privy to information about Master Mold even WE knew about it...that could have been enough to expell you from this team and Illustra. But we arent where we were a YEAR ago. we're all BETTER than we were then...we TRUST each other and I definately know things arent always as they APPEAR on the surface so I vouched for you...so did Delilah!

Before she could respond Morgan cut into her, and rightly so. Delilah worried about Haleigh, it was true - she was concerned she might feel cut off from the rest of the team, ganged up on - but she was severely out of order just the same. ]
"Haleigh, what has gotten into you? You're about to make things worse for us all. A murder at Illustra - the company which YOU are the head of security for - would bring high profile scrutiny down on everyone connected to it. Our lives would be in jeopardy, and for what? Revenge? Payback? Respect? You may be calculating, proud, cunning - but you're not self-destructive... And you heard Morgan. Don't break up the Six for petty vengeance. Because I assure you, if you do this, we're through."

Nicolas listened as Alison backed him and delilah, watching Morgan relent. He was relieved that this would be no issue until Haliegh made her power move. He listened to Morgan and Delilah's response and decided that it was not enough. So he responded coldly.
"And rest assured, you do NOT hold all of the cards here. The forensic evidence is more than enough to exonerate her, especially combined with the fact that he was a fugitive with no right to be here and she is a respected DA. So NO ONE will believe otherwise than that she defended her life, and I WILL make certain of it. In fact, if you do not release the tapes, the only one that looks bad would be YOU as head of Illustra security. Considering that there ARE cameras but no tape for today, that would look awfully suspicious for YOU as his daughter..."
Nicolas trailed off, making sure that Haliegh relized that she was not the only one capable of threats. He hated that she felt she could use her power to hold something over Alycia, especially since Alycia HAD no powers, so he decided to make sure she knew how that felt.

Haleigh took a drag as Morgan asked her if shed gone mad. she thought about it for a beat, and then shrugged.
"Probably."
Morgan tried to reason with her... but that wasn't working. Haleigh was beyond reason... she was tired of taking Alycia's abuse and now that she'd put her foot down... it was a matter of saving face to hold her ground no matter WHAT the rest of the group said. Morgan went so far as to compare Haleigh to Stavros... a remark that would have previously evoked both hurt and anger... but Haleigh was inexplicably detached... and all the while Morgan spoke, Haleigh stared at Alycia. Morgan continued, DEMANDING her cooperation and playing the guilt card, the 'i believed in you' case. Haleigh looked up at Morgan as she finished, an immovable object meeting an unstoppable force.
"You know WHAT, Morgan? Think what you want... about me... about my connection to Stavros.... about my behaviour. I don't think I'm asking TOO much here... ALL I want is my fucking answers.... ALL she has to do is show me HALF the courtesy I gave her right before she went off to MURDER my sister..... and if she does... I'll GIFTWRAP the damn tapes, and hand them right over."
Delilah cut in, asking her not to break up the Six for petty vengeance, which provoked a sly, knowing smile from Haleigh. She turned on Delilah next.
"hmmm... that's FUNNY.... because that's EXACTLY what Alycia did when she took off to kill the Cassadines, ISNT IT? She split us RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE.... and yet... everybody pats her on the back and congratulates her for a job fucking well done.... that HOITY-TOITY bitch gets to do WHATEVER she damn well pleases, and I'm SICK of it! [turning to glare at Alycia again] She goes off on a murdering RAMPAGE and she doesn't care WHO she hurts, even if it's one of US.... now I think its TIME we take her down a notch... before she turns on US.... and before you say 'she WONT'... just know.... she turned on ME."
Nicolas put an effort forth next. The rest of the Six were creating a united front... but NONE of them knew just exactly how bad things were between Alycia... or just how bad Haleigh wanted what she was asking for. But EVERYONE could see a burning determination in Haleigh and whatever was driving it was real and unrelenting. Nicolas threatened Haleigh... who put her cigarrette out on the oak wood desk, leaving an unsightly burn mark, as she threw her gaze over to the only man in the room, and looked him up and down, as if to size him up. She made a point to speak slowly, as if he wouldn't follow her if she didnt.
"Now... how can I help you understand.... oh. I dont...... CARE." She said, glaring at him before turning back on alycia as if she'd hadn't been interrupted at all. "OH.... speaking of looking suspicious... what ARE you doing with GOLF CLUBS in your office?? [narrowing her eyes] You don't GOLF.... [taking a scathing tone, as she folds her arms across her chest] You're MUCH too busy taking pleasure in DESTROYING people's LIVES... and ordering SNIPER HITS on innocent PEOPLE."

:: Alycia stood up from her desk, more angry than EVER.::
you ungreatfull CAN OPENER!
:: she blasts out with fury::
I do not work for YOU, NOR do i ANSWER to you. I have ALWAYS maintained an ongoing PROFESSIONAL relationship with the Six because of my PERSONAL friendship with Morgan, Delilah and Alison. I owe you NOTHING.
YOU dropped the ball with Master Mold and Sharon Kelly paid for it with her LIFE. A woman who dedicated herself to standing in the gap for people like YOU and obviously you are too selfish, to avaricious to CARE..just like your "step father."
:: Alycia watches as the arrogant woman puts her cigarette out on the desk, leaving a burn mark.::
your every action shows just how disrespectfull you are.
:: continuing on::
I was authorized by the U.S. Government to use WHATEVER FORCE NECESSARY to bring down Stavros AND FAMILY. Ava was aiding in resisting arrest , i was WELL within my authority to have her struck down for that reason ALONE. Capturing Stavros was something that not only conincided with JUSTICE for Sharon Kelly, but also the U.S. Governments ongoing attempts to ROOT OUT strong holds and allies of MysTech. my "rampage" has given them a MAJOR victory against a global terror entity and you're too wrapped up in your delusions to realize that right now.
:: as Haleigh scathingly questioned Alycia about the golf club, Alycia cut her off as she threw her hands up in the air, rolling her eyes with exaspiration.::
Look at the golf club, the HANDLE, you mechanical Jessica Fletcher wannabe, they are ENGRAVED with Sharon's initials.
:: and so they were...(S.L.K- Sharon Lynn Kelly)::
those were among the personal items deeded to me by Sharon's will. THAT'S what i was doing with them in my office.
:: she came out from behind her desk, not remotely afraid of Haleigh::
I'm not afraid of you...or what you THINK you can do. IF you want to try to black mail me...I BURY YOU and EVERYONE you think you care about..INCLUDING Zach in so much litigation and federal scrutiny that your GRAND CHILDREN will need lawyers. The game is changing honey I have the power of the u.s. government behind me NOW. In case you hadn't been paying attention to ALISON's statements due to my help in bringing down Stavros, my involvement in exposing the super soldier project as well as getting the ball rolling against Mystech after Master Mold..the PRESIDENT himself has offered me the position of:
Special Assistant to the National Security Advisor of the President of the United States & Chair Woman of the Commission on Superhuman Activities.
Which will basically make ME the person that YOU will answer to if you are suspected of ANY wrong doing and believe me sweetie, with the paper trail ive got on YOU....I could have you drawn and quatered from one side of the coast line down to the other.
With this new position not only will i retain the legal powers I had before and gain the power to use WHATEVER FORCE necessary to "contain" or ELIMINATE any mutant/meta human threat. I now have the power to act as the liason between The Six and the U.S. Government...giving you FEDERAL SANCTION to do what you need to do without FEAR of being scrutinized anymore...but THAT is conditional on MY recommendation.
:: a bombshell indeed. Alycia was now on the verge of gaining a POWERFULL position in the u.s. government that would give her access to all sorts information, technology and security as well as giving her a wide range of latitude on handling "super human threats"::
so you see Haleigh, even WITHOUT "powers"...I am more POWERFULL THAN YOU. DONT TEST ME.

<< a bad situation that stood to become much worse. what was clearly an act of self defense (and in a way the exact "justice" that Stavros deserved) was now being twisted, perverted by one of the Six's OWN...in some insane attempt to gain leverage? or maybe something else...>>
<< whatever it was Haleigh's actions not only drew the ire of her team mates but suggested that she may have taken leave of her senses now. one problem was being compounded by another. What to do about Stavros' and making sure Alycia would be okay WHILE also handling the situation with Haleigh. But as Alycia said..the game WAS changing. Alycia announced the dawn of a new era for herself, as she was to gain a position of considerable power in the U.S. Government. A position that would make her a VALUABLE and NEEDED liason between the six and the government...OR something that could be used to destroy them. Alycia had friends in this team...she had gone to bat for them several times and it nearly cost her life but now...with Haleigh attempting to draw some line in the sand, Alycia drew a line of her OWN and DARED her to cross it.>>
<< whatever was going to happen, it was clear that this was far from over. even with Stavros' death...strife, tension and possibly VIOLENCE lurked on the horizon for the Six.....dissappoingting, yet. SURPRISING? no. All the while, as the turmoil inside Illustra was brewing, there was a new threat UNSEEN outside of Illustra as well. One that would bring themselves fully into the midst of the Six whether they liked it or not.>>
