<< Spellbinder lifts her hands...and with the sound of rushing wind...she lifts off the ground....flying high and circling around the building to face the 9 oclock position of one of the sentinels......extending her hands.....a large halo of eldritch energy forms around her outstretched hands...and with a chime....she unleashes a massive eldritch bolt....the blast of dark magick force slams into the arms of the sentinel...slicing its arms right off...with explosive results...>>

Sentinel: DANGER...DANGER...this unit under magickal attack.....facing Spellbinder..non mutant...super powered witch...engaging defense protocalls!

<< at that moment...Spellbinder's cloaking spell wore off...now exposing the rest of the team....as the damaged sentinel turned...seemingly unfased by her vicious attack...it unleashes a rapid volley of electrical blasts from its eyes>>

GODDESS!!!

<< Spellbinder launches up higher...launching into evasive maneuvers to avoid the blasts.....her speed and gracefull movements...even at such high speeds were not lost on those watching below.>>

Sentinel: target capable of high speed flight....initiating booster rockets!

<< the sentinel immediately takes flight and begins chasing spelldinder..unleashing a fast barrage of massive elecritcal bolts....some smashing into buildings..and immediately shortcircuiting their power supply ..causing some to immediately fall apart while other catch on fire>>

<<.....those on the ground had precious little time to watch HER...as the giant arms of that sentinel were now hurtling down toward them...just as another Sentinel...was closing in from behind...with its hand outstretched>>

Sentinel: target one....Cameron King....mutant....telepath/telekinetic. target two....Alexis Quatermaine....meta human....

<< with both hands out stretched....from ONE palm comes a massive onslaugh of sonic attack that surrounds and encompasses Cameron.....from the other...comes black light beam... it is actually a NULL LIGHT that envelopes Alexis in a globe...that renders her completely void of vision..and begins DRAINING her of energy while reducing her body temperature>>

next sentinel: target three....<< looking at Guardian>> unknown...female....non mutant...possible witch!

<< the Sentinel begins begans a surprisingly fast charge toward Guardian...the ground shaking violently as the giant machine charges for her....it raises its massive fist...and swings downward..with a punch intending to SMASH her where she stands>>

next sentinel: target four....Eva Valentine....mutant...high priority.......IMMEDIATE Termination!

<< the sentinel immediately launches from its open palms...two LARGE adamantium coils...that surge forth like high powered anacondas....wrapping around Eva...the began to constrict her painfully and unleash a painfull jolt of high voltage electricity into her body>>

final sentinel: .....target five....Haleigh Davidoff.....possible mutant..or meta human....powers unidentified yet....

<< this sentinel takes aim ...with both palms open...and fires two massive red hued repulsor blasts at Black Widow....>>

« As Cameron and the others watched Spellbinder fly up into the air and attack one of the Sentinels, it wasn't long before the rest of the Sentinels had descended upon the rest of the members of the Six. Cameron was slightly more prepared for them this time. Without warning, one of the Sentinels released a blast of Sonic Sound that would almost complete disarm him, but using his powers of foresight, Cameron was able to sense was about to happen, as he raised up a Barrier of Protection around his body that drowned out all sound except for anything inside of the Globe. As the sound was deflected off the shield and thrown at a wall of Illustra, acting much like a Banshee scream. Cameron lowered his shield as fired a hire power blast at one of the Sentinels before flipping his body around and rolling on the ground, popping back up behind the Sentinel as he threw out his hand with a blast of his Telekinesis, sending the Sentinel right into the Energy Blast. Squinting his eyes, Cameron expanded the molecules of the energy blast as it began to wrap around the Sentinel, constricting it and Inflicting injury, weakening it with every movement. As Cameron concentrated on keeping hold of the Sentinel, he looks at the others around him. They all seemed to be in their own amount of trouble, so he looked to the only person who had seen with enough power to blast one of these things to shreds. He called up to Spellbinder. »

"Spellbinder! I need you to blast this thing to shreds!"

« He knew that she had enough speed as well as the Stepping Disks so that she could be down to him within an instant. Cameron knew that he wasn't as well equipped as the others to fight these things, and now he knew that when he needed help, he was going to take it. »

:: Alexis watched as Spellbinder began her aerial attack on one of the sentinels. Managing to only watch for a few moments, Alexis turned and saw more of the massive beings heading straight for the group. As Alexis raised her hand preparing to attack, soon, everything went black. A black light could be seen pulsing around her body as if it were sucking the life from the meta human. Grabbing her eyes, she began to panic seeing nothing but darkness. Everything was happening so fast. Soon, Alexis began to feel sick, knowing her energy was bring drained from her body--her temperature soon began to drop, making her condition even worse. ::

:: Alexis had to act quickly otherwise she was as good as dead. Raising her hand in the air, she could detect energy as if it were a beacon made for her to find. Feeling a strong, almost magnetic like pull, Alexis stopped her hand. Whatever she was pointing at had massive amount of energy. Taking full advantage of this new knowledge, a light blue beam penetrated it's way passed the black shroud and headed straight for the energy signature. Seconds after the beam made contact with the energy signature, the beam slowly began to turn dark blue as Alexis drained the energy from whatever the source was. As more energy was being drained from the sentinel, the black shroud began to fluctuate, allowing Alexis to grow with strength. Soon, an explosion of white lights engulfed Alexis as the sentinel's power over her was destroyed. The lights faded, and Alexis looked up at the massive beast, finally seeing her opponent. ::

"A robot making cheap shots? Well, you are a product of my dad's madness aren't you?"

:: A crystal blue "disk" of light appeared under Alexis' feet, allowing her to hover in the air. Alexis soon shot into the air, "flying" behind the sentinel that attacked her. With the disk under her, it acted like a surf board, allowing her to fly and stand in mid-air. Cocking her right arm back, as if it were in a throwing position, she cupped her hand making it look like she was holding a football. Soon, the energy she absorbed from the sentinel began to swirl around her hand forming a massivly large javeline in her hand. The javeline of energy glowed a brilliant white, eluminating Alexis in the air. Finally, Alexis threw her arm forward, sending the javeline of energy, with brut force, hurling towards the very center of the back of the sentinel's head. The amount of energy in that single javeline could not only completely DESTROY the sentinel, but destroy over a 4 block radius from where the sentinel was standing. Holding her hand out, as the javeline went hurling towards the beasts head, she was ready to absorb the energy emmited from the attack, so everyone around her wouldn't be killed by it's power. ::

this bucket of volts just wont lay off!! they must be made of sterner stuff these days!!...used to be one good hit and theyd blow up!

BOOOOMMMMMM!!!

Haleigh appeared outside with the rest, and looked up at the sentinels. As spellbinder cast a cloaking spell over them, Haleigh nodded, lifting her carbine towards the nearest sentinel. As Spellbinder took off, Haleigh fired a few rounds to get the robot's attention. It identified her... and retaliated, causing haleigh to dive between its legs. the replusor blasts left significant holes in the ground were Haleigh had stood before. Haleigh pulled out another disk and fixed it to the 'ankle' joint of the sentinel... and ran for cover. the small explosion detroyed the joint, and disabled the sentinels ability to move, as it toppled to the ground.

"Anything ELSE I can help you with?"

Haleigh said cockily... but the sentinel wasn't giving up that easily... and shot another repulsor beam. Haleigh rolled to the left, narrowly missing the beam, it instead hit a 10 foot tall lamp post at the base, which fell RIGHT across Haleigh's lap, pinning her to the ground. It was heavy enough to be difficult for her to lift alone... and as she struggled with it, the fallen sentinel aimed for another shot. Haleigh looked up, and suddenly there began a downpour of abnormally LARGE raindrops... but it was only in the immediate area... infact.. those who were standing fifty feet away were perfectly dry. Haleigh and the sentinel after her, however, were engulfed in pelting rain, and as it hit the exposed wiring of the joint Haleigh had destroyed just moments earlier... the rain fried the sentinel completely, in a frenzy of sparks and small scale implosions. the rain tapered off, leaving haleigh stuck under the pole still, flipping her wet blonde locks out of her face with displeasure. her legs had begun to ache under the weight of the post... but as Haleigh focused on it... it began to glow, first orange and then hot white, melting to the point that it softened enough for Haleigh to manipulate the shape and slide her legs out from under it.

"Fucking robots."

*Eva nodded to Alexis, hearing her out as she helped comfort the poor woman. The child was no responsible for the father's sins...and even though Adam was on her to-kill list, his daughter was pretty okay to her. Eva went back to being silent after having returned to the living room, constantly watching the interactions of the others, picking up on their postures and manuerisms as she mentally recorded them before hearing her name called, keeping in mind what she had heard about Black and his vunerabilities. She turned toward Guardian and nodded her head, following her to the scrying glass as they began to reconstruct the levels of the Citadle, most importantly, the hidden bottom floor where all the more dangerous lab trials were done, trials not meant for the eyes of the rest of the staff, which would probably be where this Foxfire was being kept. Eva could still hear the jabberings of all the other people in the penthouse as they continued to babble amongst each other, her ears alert as ever, just in case. Being paranoid, especially now, was never a bad thing. She hadn't seen Spellbinder for a while but shrugged it off as she continued to recall memories. She glanced over towards the wall after Guardian had finished speaking to Haleigh, watching the glowing silver cases appear by the plenty. Eva walked over and picked up the smallest silver case and pressed the two buttons on the side, popping the case open. She pulled out a metallic-chrome dark purple suit out of the case and gave it a good look over. She looked at Alexis and Cameron as they came back out in their suits, looking over Haleighs and smiled...they really were wicked kewl. Eva placed the case on top of the table in the middle of the living room, whipping off her top and throwing it aside. The ration of men to women here were 1:5...it wasn't like they hadn't seen the same things before and as for Cameron, she couldn't really care if he saw her change or not, something about being in the Citadle eradicted her need to be humble bodywise. She slipped off her pants and stood in her lingerie, pulling the suit nicely over her muscular curves as she zipped up everything that was possible of being zipped. She closed the case and left it, heading back to several other gray cases next to the wall and pulled out a browning hi-powered with extra ammo cases and placed a hoister around her waist, slipping the gun into place. She strapped two knife sheathes on her wrists, placing sharp pure silver dagger knives into them. She walked back over to the others as she tried out the feel to her new suit...it felt good. She suppressed a giggle as she looked at the rest of her new "team", atleast they all had one thing in common, they all wanted to kill adam and christopher and get this shit done with. That's something she could live with for now. As Haleigh went on about the explicits on the suit, Eva kept an ear open as she looked over the blueprints, raising an eyebrow as she noticed something wasn't right about a small few of them, glancing up at the scrying glass as it began to flash before the warning sign went off and Haleigh running off screaming to save Spellbinder. She grabbed the earpiece and shoved it into her ear and followed out into the living room to wait as the two women came hurdling out of the bathroom. She prepared to run, or atleast do something as the spell fell over them, erasing their prescences if only for the few moments.*

"Alright, I'm as good as ever. Let's get this show on the road! These things seem to keep getting stronger and str..."

*Just then they were all teleported outside into the nice open air as she quickly scan around for any weird new humans. Sentinels were coming at them full force, and while the others took a moment to watch Spellbinder fly around, Eva knew better and kept her guard up as she took note of what was going on around her. She tried to fly off from the attack, but the coils were too fast for her as they forcefully grabbed onto her and held her down, shooting high levels of electricity into her body to fry her like a crisp. However, Eva souflait was not on the menu today as Eva closed her eyes and slowed down her breathing so as not to hyperventilate. Her body pulsed with vibrations as she tapped into the elemental powers inside her body, pulling on the fire and air aspects that controlled lightning and electricity as she surged her body with it's own electrical current, neutralizing the force of the one the robot was hitting her with, hoping to buy herself some time before it evaded the change. She opened her eyes as the electric, metallic light blue sizzles in her eyes began to glow, her body following suit with a warm reddish orange tone as a layer of lava contoured around her body...it was time to see if the suits would hold up to anything aside from flame, temperature, and acid. She let the lava boil around her to extreme temperatures as she began to melt through the sentinel's vice grip on her body, fall walking straight into it, panting a bit as she was trying to pull all her strength together. She balled her hand into a fist, gathering all the lava around it as she "punched" into the sentinel's chest, soaking through and shooting a lava blast inside the sentinel's body. As soon as she was done she ducked down under the thing's arm, falling to the ground and rolling away, not really having the strength to run off at the moment. If these things were anything remotely like their predeceasors...they'd still have the same vulnerability to heat like they did before, as she turned her head back towards the sentinel and watched in anticipation, hoping it would work. From the corner of her eye she could see the others struggling with their sentinel...the lucky telepath already having his done with along with Spellbinders.*

<<as Shockwave lashed out at her Sentinel foe.....the large jagged javeline smashed dead center into the back of its head.....causing a bright white light show....with rays of light spraying from its mouth around its neck and eyes...as it was bombared with and overwhelmed by the sudden blast of its own power sent back at it...its head exploded violently ...sending shrapnel flying every which way and raining down to the ground>>

<< Haleigh AND Eva were lucky....this group of sentinels was not expecting such round about attacks....attacks that played on the weakness of their inner structure and poor insulation.....the sentinel that was attacking Haleigh writhed violently...as the lights in its eyes finally flickered and dimmed to black...leaving the masive robot limp and short circuited as it lay on the ground...while the Sentinel attemping to terminate Tempestt soon found itself smoldering and its carbonium steel exterior was actually beginning to bubble and boil from the inside out before upperbody semi exploded and melted down...leaving its legs standing....with exposed wiring shooting out violent bursts of electricity>>

<< as the slag from that sentinel continued to ooze down...Spellbinder looped around it once to make sure the threat was eliminated before she landed neaer Tempest and Haleigh...turning to see if Guardian was okay>>

:: even as Haleigh topped her Sentinel...Guardian had ran past her...with a Sentinel in hot pursuit....she lead it away from the wreckage of Illustra... just a few feet away from the others...and dropped into a tuck and roll as the Sentinel smashed down with a punch with more force than a pile driver. She stood up....and immediately cartwheeled to the side and vaulted over a car to avoid being STOMPED on by the massive foot of the sentinel::

his speed is far greater than one would think such a machine of that size would be capable of!

:: Guardian's eyes glowed solid white as she lifted her hands above her head...gesture....as a sparkling effect flowed around several large manhole covers that were placed throughout the street. with her impressive telekinesis...she directs the spinning manhole covers forward at the sentinel with such high velocity that they become deadly discs.....keeping teleinetic hold over the "discs"...they began flying around the sentinel..repeteadly slasying its arms, legs and face....slaming into it and pulling back and slamming again......the heard of swarming deadly discs began to stager the sentinel as they are moving too fast for it to get lock on them. as the sentinel looks down........Guardian turns...and seizes a BUS....not one ...but TWO......flying at the sentinel from opposite directions..........the first bus SLAMS into the sentinels side like a pneumatic battering ram...staggering it are it lists side ways...while the second bus immediately SMACKS into its head from the opposite direction so hard and so fast...the sound of metal smashing and being crushed is heard as its head is severed from its body.......the body...with flames and electricity spewing out from its neck now falls toward the others....while the head slams into a near by building....before sliding down...destroying that side of the building::

Clearly their heads are their weak spots. But we wont enjoy this for long...their signal was already transmitted back to MysTech...more will come....and will have ADAPTED to our patterns of attack from this round. We better get moving.

:: Running to meet the others..she points in the direction the need to move in::

according to Haleigh's maps and Tempest's recollections....there's a "public route" this way.....a building on Manhattan's upper east side that masquerades as a Medical Office is actually a secret entrance to an underground tunnel leading directly to the Citadle!

:: the sounds of techno organic creatures can be heard in the distance.....::

we must hurry!! :: motioning for everyone to get a move on::

:: Seeing the bright white lights blast out of the sentinel, Alexis held her hand steady as the sentinel's head blew up. The lights and debris blew up in the form of a mushroom cloud, much like that of the Heroshima bombing. Alexis' hand shook as she contained the massive amounts of energy, absorbing it into herself so it could not destroy anything else. Finally, the last punch of energy went into Alexis, sending her arm flying back and the bright lights to dim and eventually deminish. Shaking her hand, Alexis winced a bit. ::

"Damn...that stung."

:: Smirking, she saw the sentinel, now headless, topple and crash onto the street. Gliding down to the rest of the group, she noticed all the sentinels were soon gone. Her crimson boots landed on the hard concrete and soon Alexis made her way over to Guardian. Hearing that more of the sentinel's would be disbatched, Alexis' nose turned up...they were like cockroaches weren't they? Looking towards the direction that Guardian pointed, this was the way to the Citidel. Nodding, Alexis began to run, along with the other group members, towards the location of the Citidel enterence. ::

« As Cameron saw Spellbinder flying right for him, he began to wonder if she had gotten fed up with him and decided this was an appropriate time to get rid of him and blame it on a Sentinel, but somehow he sensed that this was not her intention as the Sentinel exploded causing the temperature around him to raise to an extremely high level. Thankfully Haleigh had ordered them the suits or Cameron would have been fried indefinitely. He looked around as the others defeated their monsters. He watched as Guardian used her telekinesis to defeat them and he couldn't help but feel jealous. Show Off he thought as he gathered near Alexis and Eva as Guardian gave news that there was an entrance to the Citadle nearby. He took off running with them, wanting to get this mission over with already. »

"Oh! Yay! More Fun this way guys! Come On!"

« Of course it was a sarcastic remark, but Cameron felt in a situation like this that it was only appropriate to lighten up the times just a little if they were all about to descend to their deaths in a battle of power and magick. Cameron shook his head and grabbed his chest as he ran with the others. That wound was starting to get to him. »

"Well then.... we should Run Fast..."

Haleigh said, pulling on her floor-length coat [think matrix ;)] as Gaurdian finished explaining that more were on the way. Haleigh had no problem running.... she did it for leisure in her down time... so as she picked up her bag of gear and roll of blueprints... and shouldered the medi-pack she'd dropped to fight the sentinel... and ran alongside Cameron and Alexis as though the act were natural to her. She noticed Cameron clutching his chest... and tossed her flying hair out of her face as she spoke quietly. She could be heard through the earpiece so there was no need to shout and lose her breath.

"Cameron, you should let me take a look at that and see what I can do... it will only get worse you know, if it goes unattended."

<< The sound of rushing wind is heard as Spellbinder lifted off the ground and flew in the air...over the group so as to have an aerial view and spot any warbirds, drones, sentinels or worse....people infected with the T.O. virus. She flew slightly ahead of the group.....>>

Looks like Cameron is struggling.....I could easily heal his wounds...but that arrogant pup needs a lesson in humility...he's been sniping at me ALL evening...and I'll make sure that wet behind the ears wretch thinks TWICE about mocking me or my sister

<< her mind churned with thoughts of disdain for most of the group she was with...as she cast a quick glance down upon them to make sure they were hot on her heels>>

<< as the group moved through the streets.....Guardian made sure they stayed together. All around them were fires, buildings partially wrecked , over turned cars and buses along with sirens from abandonned police and EMS trucks wailing...it was chaotic and an assault on the hearing of the group as the moved>>

<< running through the streets, they came to a four way intersection..the traffic lights were down and exposed wires were violently spraying out massive amounts of raw electricity....nearby....a firehydrant had been destroyed and now water was also jetting up....there was a swarm of people who were now infected with the T.O. virus..having just infected and then drained the energy of two emergency workers....they now were looking for a new target....and the path of The Six was partially obscured by the powerlines which were about to meet the water of the fire hydrant....>>

<< before anyone could suggest a plan of action....the group of infected creatures immediately noticed The Six and began to run toward them.....with looks of grim, yet blank determination in their eyes. As part of the transformation that occurrs upon infection, many of the creatures could not stretch/elongate their arms to achieve contact with foes that were further away.....the moment of skin to skin contact would result in infection....>>

I can see the building from here!!!...but we cant get there except this route....Shockwave will have to deal with the downed powerlines while the rest of us exterminate these.....creatures!!!

<< she pointed at the moving mob of monsters...as they were charging right for the Six.....one of them, a large male, immediately lashed out with his arm...it elongated and stretched...writhing like a snake so fast as it charged madly for Haleigh...intending to wrap around her...while the rest of the creatures continued their charge>>

<< there were still essentinally human....it was their bodies that had been transformed...and while they would eventually die..they STILL had a sort of basic psyche...and that would give Cameron an advantage he lacked against the Sentinels and other robotic foes of MysTech....Guardian had powerful telekinesis as well as temporal stasis and molecular acceleration and her own magickal heritage would grant her exceptional resistance to infection should be touched by a creature. Spellbinder's magick granted her the same advantage.....she, along with Tempest had long range powers..and could dispatch their targets from the air...though it seemed like an easy task....there were quite a few creatures...and the area was hemmed in by fires , wrecked cars and buses and the downed power lines>>

Haleigh ran with ease into the intersection, getting there first as the group followed behind her and everyone stopped.... She saw the door as well, and she turned to look up at spell as she spoke, letting her carbine weapon drop on its strap to rest her arm from the weight of the gun for a second. This proved to be a terrible mistake... for as she nodded and turned toward the door... and the TO infected zombies, she didn't have her weapon raised fast enough as the first of the zombies reached her with surprising speed. Haleigh reacted on pure instinct, raising her right arm to shield her face as the monster began to bear down on her. the 'man' bit into her arm... but luckily her suit was made of tough enough material to protect her from his teeth... it was the arm he swung out at her that caught her offguard... as its fingertips latched onto the back of her neck, piercing the skin.

Fucker's got sharded glass for fingernails...

She thought, as she pulled a walther P22 from her thigh rig with her left hand put it to the man's throat. She pulled the trigger, aiming it up through his skull... spraying blood, brain matter and patches of hair up into the air. the zombie immediately went limp, and haleigh re-holstered her handgun and picked up her carbine again, resting the butt of the automatic gun against her left shoulder, aiming with one arm towards the group of zombies and holding the trigger down. A flurry of bullets and muzzle flashes filled the air.... as Haleigh reached up with her free hand and touched the back of her neck. the others seemed to busy fighting to have seen what happened to Haleigh with great detail... which was probably best, as Haleigh pulled her hand down to glance at it... i bit of her own blood... the zombie seemed to have punctured her right above where her suit ended... the idea of the TO virus flashed in Haleigh's mind... but she compartmentalized it right away... hiding the thought from Cameron and masking her discomfort from the rest. She couldn't afford the group thinking she was infected.... the LAST thing she needed was for Morgan to get her hands on an excuse to justify murdering her.... for Haleigh was sure the woman was just SEARCHING for a reason.... besides... Haleigh was a fighter...it was probably nothing... she wasn't feeling any symptoms...YET.

:: as the group reached the intersection...and saw that their path was obstructed by the raging powerlines and the firehydrant spraying water, she caught sight of a mob of techno organic creatures draining the 'life glow' from uninfected humans.......just as they turned and saw the group, Spellbinder had pointed out the problem::

:: the creatures moved so fast...and despite their humanoid appearence....they had lost their humanity the moment they were infected.......their life glow drained..and replaced with something else....that drove them...animated them like a machine::

:: Guardian thrust her hands forward....immediately warping the temporal field around three approaching creatures....the temporal stasis was fast and instantaneous but against these creatures...it merely slowed them down...it didnt stop them. without changing her facial expression.........Guardian once again seized hold of a manhole cover with her TK....gesturing like Prue, she sent the now high velocity spinning cover across the path to intersect with the three creatures...slicing off their heads.......a horrible sound of decapitation was heard as the now headless bodies lumbered about and then fell to the ground writhing violently...before finally they too went limp::

:: while prophet, shockwave and tempest dealt with their tasks....Guardian came near Haleigh...and as she she extended her hand forward...she immbolized Black Widow with mystic chains::

I know what happened, Haleigh. The creacture made skin to skin contact with you. IF you had been infected.....I would kill you where you stand. HOWEVER...the creature didnt have sufficient time to release the virus into your body......it seems that this virus originated from somewhere OTHER than planet earth..and its method of transfer depends upon the will of the carrier. Had he been truly "in control" of himself...he wouldve infected you immediately upon his touch...instead...his insatiable drive for ENERGY had made him crazy...like the others on the surface.

Just...tend to your wound..Ill make sure nothing else comes while you do it. But dont even THINK about trying to mislead anyone here should another incident like that happen. Shockwave have to get these power lines out of our way...while Spell, Tempest and Prophet eliminate the rest of that mob.

:: She released Haleigh from the mystic chains. Being a Seer was going to proove very much a sore subject for many in this group who didnt like being called out by Guardian::

"I know what happened Haleigh. If you had been infected I would kill you where you stand."

Haleigh flitted a discreet glare at Alison as she mocked the woman under her breath in a high pitched whine, lowering her weapon. She pursed her lips together as Alison gaurded her, and opened the flap of the medipack, pulling out a small square of white gauze.

"Can't get anything past you, can we, Miss Know-All-Be-All? but.... this must be a new side of you... so motherly.... so protective.... perhaps you're taking a liking to me.... Alison, its ever so kind of you....Thanks for caring...."

[i]How I'd unabashedly take pleasure in watching you gargle your own blood, you smug sociopath....

Haleigh thought, smiling pretty as she dabbed at her neck dry. She held up the gauze wipe for Alison to see... there wasn't much blood, just a few spots. It looked as though it were through bleeding already. The wound can't have been very serious.

"See... hardly a scratch.. what do a know... I might even live. There's really no time for you to watch every move I make Alison... I've been through a lot more threatening injuries than this... my CAT scratches deeper than this."

:: Looking around her surroundings as Alexis continued to run with the group, she spotted the down power lines flailing about in the street ahead. Shifting her eyes towards the spraying water from the hydrant, everything was a mess. This didn't look like New York City, it looked like a war zone....dead bodies scattered around the streets, cars and busses on their sides, fires and explosions---this was unbelievable. ::

:: Finally slowing down to a jog, and eventually stopping in front of the sparking wire lines, she heard Spellbinder say there was a mob of people headed towards them infected with the TO virus. Looking towards the group of infected people running towards them, she knew her job was to stop the power lines...otherwise they wouldn't be able to get across. Running away from the group, she headed straight into the down power lines path. Most people would assume Alexis was crazy, thinking she had a death wish, but to the Six, they knew what she was capable of. ::

:: As the four separate power lines flew around Alexis, the electricity emitting from them made a hissing sound, like that of a serpent. Alexis stood in the middle of the flailing wires and lifted her hands in the air above her head. Suddenly, all 4 power lines seemed to magnetically attract to Alexis --- one by one, the ends of the power lines attached to different sections of her torso. The smoke and sparks cleared from the streets...only the water from the hydrant could be seen spewing all over. It looks as if Alexis was being electrocuted....her body shook, what looked like small lightning bolts engulfed her body, and bright blue and white lights emitted from her. Alexis' body was absorbing all the electricity, keeping it pent up in her small body until finally, all the wires fell limp and "lifeless" to the ground. Although the power lines were dead, the small lightning bolts and bright lights continued to engulf Alexis. Finally, Alexis dropped her arms to her side as everything soon went dim, and all the electricity was gone. Parting her lips, she blew softly allowing smoke to escape from her body. The electricity continued to run throughout her body...it was as if her body was a power plant of sorts. The electricity she just absorbed, she will use in full force for later. That was the benefit of being able to absorb numerous types of energy, she could use it later. ::

:: Turning on her heal, she stepped over the limp power lines and walked back to the group. Walking towards Guardian and Haliegh, she stopped and crossed her arms seeing Haliegh was hurt. Lifting a brow, she turned towards the Spellbinder, Tempest, and Prophet seeing them dealing with the infected humans. Looking back at Haliegh, she chuckled at her remark about her cat. ::

"Let me guess....people under estimate you?"

:: Smirking, Alexis could relate to Haliegh. With a sarcastic yet playful tone, Alexis continued. ::

"Join the club."

"Yeah.... that's gotta be the understatement of the year."

Haleigh smirked, as Alexis joined them. Haleigh shouldered the medipack again and folded the gauze up and tucked it into an empty side pocket of the medipack. she didn't habitually litter... but that wasnt the reason... the gauze had her DNA... and Haleigh wasn't into the idea of her blood getting into the hands of anyone... she valued the idea that few people knew what she was really involved with.... and it just wouldn't do for it to get out to the wrong people that she was alive. call her paranoid... because the streets were such a mess that the bloodied gauze would be like finding a needle in a haystack... but in Haleigh's line of business... all risks were calculated. Like a virus or disease... CONTAINMENT was the only answer.

"What do you mean? i'm already a card-toting member."

Haleigh laughed... she had a slight sense of humor... even in this grave situation... and she switched on the bright flashlight attached to her weapon as she lifted it again, her left index resting on the trigger. The small red circle of the laser sight of her gun could be seen on the door not far off. The zombies seemed to be taken care of... a slight lapse in their intensity provided a window that Haleigh nodded at, suggesting that the group herd towards the entrance. She didn't dwell on the small moment that she and Alexis had, identifying with each other for being underestimated... she was in business mode.

"We'd better get moving... more can't be far off."

« As the group stopped near the entrance to the Citadle, Cameron noticed a group of what appeared to be something like Science Projects. It then clicked to Cameron as his sixth sense kicked, saying that these were not just any kind of humans, but some twisted and deranged infected human beings and botched experiments of Mystech trying to stop them from gaining entrance to their destination. Prophet rubbed his hands together as he smirked, knowing that he would be able to use his telepathic powers against them. »

"Now! I can finally have some fun! It's about damn time!"

« Throwing out his hand, he sent a high powered psionic wave at the remaining group of creatures that rippled like a wave with a green hue of energy. As the wave blasted into them, they were knocked back and thrown several feet backwards. A Psionic Wave was a high charged blast of pure psionic energy that was enough to mentally incapacitate an entire fleet of soldiers. It ripped through their minds as if it was shredding every thought and every memory causing the only thing that the creatures would be able to concentrate on was the pain. As the creatures began to fall to the ground with a great amount of pain, Cameron's eyes turned a solid green. No white could be seen in his eyes whatsoever as he looked at his surroundings. »

"It's been fun, but I am afraid..... it's time to burn THIS bridge..."

« Cameron began hovering in the air as he looked at a power line that was around ten feet away from the group as he willed the power line right in the center of a group of around three of the creatures. Electricity sparked and hissed, crackling at their feet as he used his mind to spark the power line setting one of the creatures on fire. As the creature tossed and turned on the ground, flailing his body around like a person having a seizure, Cameron willed the fire to spread as another spark errupted, spreading the flames to two more of the twisted creatures as Cameron watched each of them burn in a painfully and intense death. A devilish smiled curled up within his lips as he continued to hover over the ground his eyes glowing a bright emerald. He seemed to be relishing the kill, and enjoying the pain, a sight that was obvious to all who were witnessing the event. This had always been a problem with Cameron, he never knew when to stop. When he was at full power, he felt invincible, like he could do anything. As the three creatures became extra crispy and turned a charcoal black hue, Prophet used his mind to will the fire to stop, leaving scorch marks on the ground and charred bodies along with them. He flowed down to his feet as the green faded and he looked up at the rest of the group, walking towards Alexis and Haleigh and somewhat shrugged. »

"Hey, it was the first time I could really kick some ass.. So I did.. It's all too late for us to grow a conscience now..."

« Cameron looked at Haleigh and looked back at Spellbinder and Tempest who were left to finish off the group of hideous creatures. He thought of going into her mind to see what she was thinking, but second guessed it, feeling that it was time to conserve his power, rather than to use energy wastelessly. »

*Eva grinned as her sentinel turned into a pile of bubbling gray soup and darted a glance at Guardian as she pointed the way towards one of the entrances to the Citadle. She took off in a run, keeping up with the group, hurdling over broken concrete blocks and an assortment of other goodies that littered the streets. Her martial arts workout really helped her stay in shape as she breathed in through her nose and out her mouth, working her legs as they reached the the door they needed, only to find it blocked by automobile litter piles and sparking wires. Eva didn't even pay attention to those around her, her first instinct taking in her surroundings as her eyes darted around, remembering everything as she spotted the mob just as Rabbit had begun telling the group about it. She looked over at the group as they got their job assignments and nodded, looking at the approaching mob as the four of them spread out to take a side, taking into the air as she left Haleigh and Cameron down on the ground, moving quickly away from them and Spellbinder as she took on her own group. She dodged wandering arms, flying in and out of loops, intertwing the limbs trying to grab for her as they all tied up into one big knot. She finally stopped and turned to face the group of TO people below her as she hovered there in the air, pausing a minute as she recognized the look on their faces all too well. It was the same look as the other captives from the Citadle, her own same expression after coming back from "treatments".*

They were just at the wrong place at the wrong time...none of them deserved this.

*She snapped to and hoped no one had noticed much as she raised both of her arms up her sides, leaving them elevated straight with her shoulders, a small crackle of thunder heard as a dark green tinted cloud seemed to appear and drift over towards them, sitting above the ground of TO infected, growing in size. With her palms facing upwards, she quickly dropped her arms to her side as an almost flood amount of acid rain beat down from the cloud onto the tangled heap on the ground, acting like a chinese water torture device, dripping holes into their flesh as the acid ate away at it, seeping into their insides, eventually doing away with them. The rain hit the cement ground and sizzled as she looked around to make sure everyone else was okay, noticing Haleigh on the ground taking care of herself as Alexis and Cameron had finished with their parts. Spellbinder was probably off doing her thing as she concentrated and fizzled the cloud away into nothing as it slinked back off, away into the sky. Eva left the smouldering pile of bodies dead on the ground as she glided effortlessly towards the assembling group on the ground and landed, leaning against a pole as she watched them all. Cameron had never asked what her powers were, but he probably had figured it out by now, if he was really as smart as he put on. She looked at everyone and smiled, waiting for Spellbinder to arrive.*

<< Spellbinder circled around to gain a better sense of how many creatures there were. as Tempest , Prophet and Black Widow fended off and dispatched most of the mob.....there remained 4 more..that had brought up the rear...and as everyone seemed to become slightly complacent.....and in prophet's case even smug with their success in fighting off the creatures...they failed to notice this last troop of techno organic creatures.>>

you really shouldnt rest on your laurels kiddo.

<< a voice from the air is heard....as suddenly....and unexpectedly....a large old cadillac hurls down...smashing the creatures utterly. there's a sickening sound-- that of metal smashing into a twist wreckage from the force of Spell's throw and that of human bones cracking, smashing...blood the violet fibers of the TO virus splattering on the armour of Prophet as the last of the creatures are destroyed in a most violent way>>

<< rushing winds and a faint chime is heard as Spell lands shortly there after>>

Shockwave got the power lines out of the way.. i can take care of the rest! Stand aside..little boy.

<< shoving Prophet aside as the woman strides past him, Spellbinder completely ignores Eva and Haleigh>>

<< in a wicked , sarcastic voice>>

knock...knock!

<< pulling her hand back........and balling it into a fist...a halo of silver eldritch energy forms around it...as she SMASHES through the thick metal doors and takes out some of the wall surrounding them as well with just a portion of her super strength.......as the sound of the impact shatters the silence around them....the dust settles...and inside....cobalt blue lights are flickering....a phone line can be heard ringing......and random bursts of electricity can be seen spraying from the walls and ceiling.......there are chairs and other furniture strewn about every where......and spatters of blood on the floor , walls and glass of the reception area.........clearly this "medical office" had seen better days.........and now...The Six were about to embark on their journey into the heart of MysTech itself>>

Haleigh took a step or two back as the car smashed to the ground... and narrowly avoided the splash of blood that came towards her and Alexis.... She looked up at Spell with slight displeasure as she came to the ground and shoved prophet aside.

"I can only imagine she has never heard of the term 'professional courtesy'"

Haleigh said to Cameron and Alexis... as she followed SB to gain access to the Citadle. She was going to break out the tools needed to force entry into the medical center... but spellbinder smashed through the doors like an obnoxious playground child. As Morgan paused in the door... Haleigh went ahead, stopping as she passed and offering the sorceress a sly smile.

"Silly Rabbit... showboating is for kids."

Haleigh told everyone that they needed to find the elevators... that it would be the fastest and safest path to take. she lead the way, keeping her weapon ready.... she wasn't up for anymore surprises.... she had gotten lucky back there... though she hadn't made a big deal of it... and she couldn't afford to be infected... they had no reason to believe there was a cure... and if those things back there were any indication of a successful TO virus experiment...

"I'm sure i don't HAVE to say this.... but Everybody keep your eyes peeled... I think if i can finish this day without anymore mad scientists trying to kiss me... i'll be alright."

:: Raising a single eyebrow as Spellbinder punched her way through the metal doors, Alexis stepped aside allowing the debris from the door to fly past her. ::

"You know...most people check to see if the doors lock first, before they go NYPD Blue on it's ass."

:: Stepping forward, Alexis made her way into the now demolished wall where the door used to be. Looking around the destroyed room, her eyes flickered as the electricity sparked from the walls---it was very apparent there was much energy in this room. Stepping over some larger concrete blocks that were scattered on the ground, Alexis made her way deeper into the room, keeping her guard up for anything that might come her way. Her eyes constantly stayed in motion, scanning each entrance, dark corner, and hiding space that people could hide in. Making her way to a desk that was turned over onto it's side, Alexis bent down, making sure her back was faced towards a wall...incase anyone or thing decided to attack her from behind. Placing a single knee on the debris covered floor, Alexis picked up some files that were scattered around in front of the desk. Dust covered the folders, along with spatters of blood and dirt. Gently, Alexis opened the folder looking at the information within it....her eyes widened. ::

"Morgan...you might want to take a look at this..."

:: Her voice was low and VERY serious. Within the folder showed the chart of BLAZE FIELDING aka FOXFIRE. A picture paper clipped to the upper right hand corner showed a beautiful brunette with piercing green eyes, thus being Foxfire. Scanning the chart, it showed her listed as a "Patient being treated". Reviewing the information, it explained her medical history, her mutant powers, her family history, and anything else of significant importance. Lifting the pages of the chart up and allowing them to flip down, her chart seemed more like a novel. Looking up, Alexis walked over to Morgan and showed her the open chart. ::

"It's your sister's medical chart..."

:: Alexis' handed the chart to Morgan, but stood right next to her. ::

"...and it seems like our fathers were really interested in her."

:: Pointing her index finger down at the bottom of the chart, it had both Christopher's and Adam's signatures on it. In fact, their signatures were ALL OVER Foxfire's chart---Alexis of course seeing this when she flipped through the pages. Stepping away to give Morgan room, Alexis walked back to the desk and kneeled down one again. Picking up a few other charts, she flipped through them seeing one for Eva Valentine. Looking up at Eva, she pressed her lips together and shook her head. ::

"There's one here for Eva too.....others a well."

:: Dropping Eva's folder on the dirt covered ground, Alexis stood up taking a breath in. The extent of what Alexis' father had been doing for the past ten years really began to sink in. Her head slowly shook as her eyes casting downwards. How could two men be so evil and sadistic? Biting her bottom lip, Alexis' eyes rolled as she lifted her head once more, looking to the group. ::

:: Speaking softly ::

"We better get moving.."

:: Guardian watched silently as Spellbinder's brutal tactics began to unsettle some of the others. It was obvious to HER that the closer that the group got to reaching the Citadle..the more unhinged Morgan was becoming. She wanted to lose herself in her rage and her power when she finally confronted Christopher...and Guardian could CLEARLY see the deaths of EACH person in the group in any number of possible scenarios if they foolishly hindered Spellbinder in anyway::

:: she stepped in...her heels crushing some glass underfoot...as she looked around the room...she took quick survey of the waiting area...noting all the entrances....and a stretcher that was nearby the double swinging doors::

a reanimated corpse is nearby. it was on that stretcher, but the techno organic virus has brought it back ....but there's something else....this creature was a mutant!..with the power to , among other things, become invisible both to the eyes AND the mind. Until we find the secret entrance that will gain us a direct path to the citadle....we are in extreme danger....we have to pass through the morgue to reach our destination..and ...the containment field there was LOST during the initial power outage.

<< she read through the write up...the diagnosis....the charts and prognosis...most of it seemed to be FABRICATED...this entire medical facility had to be a front for what was really happening. Guardian and Haleigh had already established that..as had her own nightmares in the weeks prior>>

<< as she gazed over the information...she saw Christopher's signature...AND adam's...approving "agressive treatments for various symptoms inkeeping with a newly discovered virus".....>>

the bastards!

<< her hands shook with rage...as she remembered Foxfire's cries for help hours earlier....and even further back...when Black broke her back..and smashed her into a wall...even as a helpless, powerless Spellbinder lay half dead on the ground and watched with grief and horror.....she lost herself in the moment....as she began crushing the file unknowing...and thunder rumbled in the air around them>>

<< just then Guardian's authoratative voice rang in her head....as she snapped back to reality and heard the warning of the Seer...they were not alone....somewhere in this facility or even this room..was a reanimated corpse that had been a mutant..and now had the TO Virus.....and the MORGUE was the destination of the group.>>

<< the bizarre, deep groaning was heard in the halls...and the gurgling as well>>

well....we cant just stand here. we have to destroy them!

:: Glancing to Guardian, she heard her warning about the mutant whom was invisable and infected with the TO virus. Taking a deep breath in, this journey was getting creepier by the minute, but of course, she wouldn't allow the others to know she was slightly freaked out. Hearing the groaning, Alexis' eyes shifted looking from one section of the room to another. The unsettling loom of death could easily be sensed in the room....but that's not what made the hairs on the back of her neck stand. Alexis jumped, feeling a hand swipe past her golden locks as the air around her grew cold. Turning around, her eyes were wide with fear, KNOWING she felt something....but nothing was there. Her breath grew shallow---the warm air she exhaled turned to mist as it hit the bitter cold air surrounding her body. Stepping back quickly, she stumbled on some debris and turned around, seeing Spellbinder walk through the double doors, heading to the morge. ::

"Yeah....invisable TO infected mutant....not good."

:: Rushing to the double door, she pushed them open, seeing Spellbinder walking ahead. Alexis followed, keeping her eyes peeled for any disturbances. ::

Haleigh rolled her eyes... as she looked down the hallway... there was something about this place that gave her chills... which was bizarre, because hardly anything put her at odds anymore. But the structure of the hallways and the way the place was lit... seemed almost... familiar. she shook the feeling off, as Spellbinder took a look at something Alexis was holding, and Gaurdian made them aware of an invisible enemy. Haleigh smirked.... and looked up at the corridor ceiling.

"It MAY very well be invisible to the eye and mind... but its corporeal form is no doubt still THERE..."

She said, as the sprinklers suddenly burst and sprayed water freely down on the group. Haleigh peered over Morgan's shoulder at the charts... that were now soaked.

"Oh... my apologies Morgan... don't worry... I can get you new charts. REAL charts."

She said, with an air of slight arrogance, as she turned and began down the corridor. If the creature was lurking around... its form would be revealed in the water.... the groups suits were waterproof... so they wouldn't be too affected by the sprinkler system. Haleigh was hot on Morgan's heels as they passed through the double doors.

"The Morgue. Wonderful. I can see how that would deter a mentally STABLE person. But not us... no... come hell, high water, or reanimated dead bodies..."

« Cameron could only sigh at the washed up once great witch's bombardment through him on her way to the entrance to the Citadle. As Morgan passed him and the others he looked at Alexis and Haleigh and laughed at their comments. »

"Someone has a death wish..."

« But then again, Cameron couldn't help but blame her for her rage and tenacity with the situation. Prophet didn't even have any family, at least not any that he knew of, but he could estimate that if he was so close to his family and somebody tried to take that person away from him, especially his own father, then Cameron would be extremely upset and probably act in the same way Spellbinder was acting now. He shook his head to clear his thoughts as they entered the medical office of the Citadle which looked as if a hurricane or Eva had gone through it. He laughed to himself as Alexis discovered the files of Eva and Blaze. In a way he felt bad for them, but to even know they had parents, granted evil bastards of fathers, they still had them and Cameron had none. As Guardian alerted them of the TO infected mutant that had been on the stretcher, a sudden chill went over Cameron's body. They were treading in dangerous territory. »

"Man there are a MILLION ways I would rather be spending tonight...."

« As Cameron was walking past the amount of files and folders, he thought that they must have had files on everyone they had met or sustained some type of injury in Mystech. All of a sudden his Sixth Sense began to tingle with anticipation as he felt pulled to the center of the pile. There was a folder that read only "King". Cameron didn't know why but he needed the folder more than anything else, so while the others weren't looking, he snatched it up and concealed somehow rather well within his contouring body suit as Haleigh set off the sprinkler systems and headed out of the Double Doors. Cameron was not far behind. He figured that if something attacked it would eat Spellbinder first and Haleigh, Alexis and himself would have enough time to get away. Guardian was on her own. As he ran down the hall after them, he couldn't help but wonder what they would find in the morgue, and he also couldn't help but wonder what he would find in that folder. »

*Eva watched Rabbit go pyscho on Cameron and the door, imagining exactly what would happen if the two had traded places as she smirked slightly, looking at the man.*

"And I'd keep that wish to yourself if I was you."

*She winked at him and then followed the group quietly, walking over debris until they reached one of the watch rooms. She lingered at the door frame, leaning against it while the others searched around. She didn't need to go parousing, she already knew what there was to see in the room, all too familiar prescences coming back. She looked over at Alexis when she found the files, just staring at her while she and Rabbit looked through them. Guardian spoke, and she turned her head to listen to the new set of instructions as she warned them of a wandering TO mutant in the building. It didn't phase Eva much, neither did being here again as it seemed to have some effect on the other people present. Through the morgue they'd go. Eva waited for Alexis and Cameron to file forward, already knowing Rabbit and Haleigh would have a go at who'd get there first. Atleast it meant the rest of the group would know when they found something before running into it. She grabbed her long hair and worked it up into a braid, throwing it back against her back so it didn't get in her eyes while she was trying to fight, looking at the droplets slide right off her suit.*

"Nifty little buggers."

*She looked over at Guardian and pushed herself off the framework, walking through the doors and following the group behind. Even though she didn't mean to, she subconciously scanned the room, looking around as faint memories tried overloading her brain again. She immediately stopped and turned towards her right, getting a feeling that someone was watching her as she peered into nothing but machines lining the right far wall, and a squeaky clean mirror, almost pertruding from the wall. She arched an eyebrow and shook it off as she upped her pace to catch up with the others.*

"Home sweet home."

::in a voice dripping with contempt:: OOPS..carefull there, Rent-A-Rambo...I neglected to warn you that your face might meet the door before you entered it.

 Prophet is trouble...even with out my precognition...his greed and avarice alone allow him to reach levels of depravity matched by the beings of MysTech. He will bring a seed of great trouble for us ALL this night ...unless i eliminate him when we reach the Citadle

:: moving forward, Guardian made up her mind.....she would kill Prophet in order to avert one of several possible disasters she foresaw as they begin their nightmarish caper in MysTech/The Citadle.::

:: as she entered the corridor with the others, she saw Morgan stepping a few paces ahead of the others. She looked around...noting the darkness and the freakish bell sound in the distance....suddenly her eyes glowed as she raised her hand::

Spellbinder STOP! the reanimated corpse...its in this corridor! coming down the T intersection now!!!.......manifest a shield in front of you!

:: that dreadfull human gurgling sound was heard....it seemed to fill the corridor endlessly......Guardian turned around.....::

More techno organic creatures..coming in from the front entrance through the waiting room.....20 of them......they.....

:: the double doors busted open as a multitude of hands and black and yellow or violet colored human bodies attempted to press through....the sounds of moaning and a bizarre electrical feedback[a product of the virus taking over the biological systems raviging them and turning them into techno organic substance] could be heard.....::

::Guardian shoved Prophet forward as she stepped back from the door and immediately thrust her hand out open palm in a 'stop gesture'....a sweeping "wooshing" sound is heard as she SLAMS the doors shut with her powerful telekinesis...snapping off a few arms and hands of the creatures due to the force of Teke that she employed. Standing squared shouldered...with the same cold analytical look on her face, She effortlessly held the doors shut....as the creatures pounded...and slammed against them...and soon the doors began to change color as the techno organic virus spread across them like a fast growing moss....still...Guardian kept them well sealed::

We obviously cannot go BACK this way...we will have to go forward....the reanimated corpse must be dealt with.......before we get to the morgue.

« As Cameron followed Morgan and Haleigh as they began to run down the hall, close behind was Alexis and finally Alison, of whom he could feel her eyes burning a hole through his head. She was cooking something up in that twisted mind of hers, and he had a feeling it was going to be directed at him. Suddenly, Guardian called out to Morgan as she lifted a shield in front of her. The gurgling sound of the infected humans could be heard as the group turned around. Guardian grabbed Cameron and pushed him out of her way as he held the Double Doors closed with her powers. Violet and yellow hands were severed and cut off as Guardian kept a hold on the door. As she spoke in a cool and distant demeanor, Cameron for once in his life and probably the only time, decided to agree with her. He would rather take care of the reanimated corpse than deal with all of these infected people. »

"I actually agree with Guardian. Let's go, take care of the corpse..."

« He took a look around and waited as the others took a second to regroup and get ready to face the reanimated corpse. He turned back to Morgan as he saw her lifted Mystic Shield over the group. She looked weathered and tired, but still somehow strong. Cameron commented on the whole situation. In order to attack the demon, they would need to be able to know where it is. Again he turned to Spellbinder and asked a question. »

"Okay, this thing is invisible to the mind and to the naked eye, but Spellbinder, if you can cast a cloaking spell, are you able to cast something like a "de-cloaking" spell so that the corpse is forced to show itself?"

Haleigh turned to Gaurdian and tilted her head slightly.... narrowing her eyes and speaking firmly, standing her ground.

"Oh... I see. So this beast... is one only YOU can detect... but the rest of us are blind? I dunno.... that sounds a little shady to me...."

She lifted her eyebrows but turned to pass through the doors... only to literally BOUNCE off them...she took a slightly unstable step back.... staring at the doors... a look of contempt washing over her features as Gaurdian spoke again. Haleigh pivoted on her heel and walked up to Alison... She may have been a few inches shorter... but that didnt seem to deter her. She stopped a few inches short of colliding with the woman, locking eyes and taking a slow, deliberate breath before speaking.

[sarcasm]"Well that's overt.... but I won't NEGLECT to warn you... YOUR face is about to meet my foot. I can tell you dislike me... and that's okay... because I think you are a self-righteous, narcissistic schitzophrenic. The only problem is... this ISNT the place for our shit. The MORE of us there are... the more likely we are to survive... THATS why i haven't killed you yet."

Haleigh walks through the doors into the next hallway, following Morgan and fighting the urge to turn back around and LEVEL Alison. The Morgue doors were in view... and Haleigh didn't seem to be disturbed by the infected creatures clawing at the double doors that Alison held shut... nor did she seem affected by the gore and chaos splashed on the walls and footprinted on the floor.... and she didnt miss te opportunity to retort as Alison talked about not being able to go back.

"Yeah, no shit, Sherlock. Well? What are we afraid of? there are SIX of us and one of them. I should SAY we can manage."

*Eva stepped into the hallway and followed down the path the others took, watching them from her position in the back as they walked and kept to themselves. She paused a moment as her head ever so slightly began to rotate behind her. Something was here, a prickling up her back alerted her to low noises around them as doors burst open with infected limbs trying to reach for anything they could get. She scrambled into the middle of the hallway while Guardian tackled Cameron down to save him. She nodded to the woman, holding the doors shut while she talked to the group.*

"Cameron has a pointl. And this corpse still has a physical form, Haleigh's idea would work, wouldn't it Guardian?"

*Eva put her hand on Alison's shoulder softly, never looking at the woman but keeping her gaze on the double doors, her eyes already glowing their sparky metallic blue hue as she breathed out onto the door, a mist of icy cold wind settling on the door as it frosted over. It grew into a thick wall of ice, freezing a seal in between the double doors as well as over the hinges, and sticking onto the wall for support to stay straight. It would take some time for the TO to pick through the ice block, or the "humans" if they could at all, but the blockade bought them some time to deal with this reanimated corpse before they had to worry about their own necks again.*

"Alright, who's ready to kick some ass?"

:: Rolling her eyes at the bickering between Alison and Haleigh, Alexis continued to walk down the dark corridor towards the morgue. Alexis took every sounds, sight, and smell into account, studying her surroundings as she walked with the group. But suddenly, Alexis turned hearing the doors behind them burst open, with what looked like twenty TO infected people heading straight for them. But, luckily, Guardian held them off, closing the doors tightly, keeping the infected people back. Turning her nose up as she heard the crunching of their bones breaking, Alexis turned back around, hearing the warning Guardian issued to the group. The invisible mutant was in the corridor with them. Listening to the words of Cameron, Haleigh, and Eva, Alexis stayed quiet as she kept her eyes peeled for anything that seemed suspicious. Stepping forward, Alexis had a look of concentration on her face---her eyes squinted somewhat as it looked like she struggled to hear something that wasn't noticeable to anyone else in the group. Taking yet another step forward, Alexis stopped, looking down the corridor towards the malfunctioning elevators. ::

"Shhh.."

:: Only the sound of the dinging elevator bell could be heard as everyone became quiet. Shifting her eyes from side to side, Alexis watched the elevator doors open and shut for a few moments before she stepped back. The invisible mutant was in the elevator, waiting. Alexis could pick up the slightest hint of energy from the invisible mutant, but she had to be certain. The rhythm of the opening and shutting doors from the elevator threw her off, as there was indications of energy there, but a distinctive pattern of energy, not originating from the elevator doors, made it clear to Alexis, the invisible mutant was down there. ::

::Whispering::

"It's in the elevator."

Haleigh smirked, as she once again let her carbine hang on its strap, kneeling down and opening a side pocket to her bag. Most of those standing around would recognize what she pulled from the pocket... it was a small hand grenade. Everyone was quiet enough to hear her pull the pin out, and hear it bounce on the floor of the elevator as Haleigh tossed it in. She zipped the bag and stood up, looking away from the elevator as she counted aloud.

"3, 2, 1... [the flash and small explosion from the grenade engulf the elevator and reach a few feet out before disappearing in a cloud of smoke] Not anymore its not. Shall we press on?"

She said, a smug grin carressing her lips as she picked up her bag... and... just to piss Gaurdian off... used her powers to set off the sprinklers in THIS corridor as well, which subsequently extinguished the fire caused by her grenade. She locked eyes with Gaurdian and smiled, walking by her and making a point to shoulder her roughly as she passed.

"Oops... didn't see you there, Alison. Perhaps I should keep a better eye out." ;)

:: Seeing Haleigh throw the grenade, Alexis closed her eyes, and looked the other way as it exploded in the elevator. A huge blast of heat blew passed them all, warming the once cold corridor in which they all stood. Brushing her hair away from her face, she studied the elevator.....Looking to Haleigh, she shook her head seeing her bump into Guardian. ::

"My GOD. If these mutated things don't kill us, you two trying to one up each other every five minutes will. Haleigh, you're tough and powerful, yes. Guardian...you're you. We ALL know how mighty you both are. So can we STOP with the fight for power so we can focus on what really matters?"

:: Rolling her eyes, her tone was sarcastic yet serious at the same time. They were getting on her last nerves and it was about time they all worked as a team to get through this disastrous night. Letting out an sigh showing her annoyance towards them both, she made her way passed Haleigh and walked towards Spellbinder. Standing only a few feet behind her, she glanced around the cooridor once again, servaying her surroundings. Pulling her wet blonde locks back into a ponytail, her hair began to kink up and become somewhat curly from the sprinkers that Haleigh kept turning on. ::

« Cameron listened to the others ideas and watched as both Haleigh and Alison continued bickering, though he couldn't blame Haleigh. He loved Alison as much as liked getting a Sexually Transmitted Disease. He laughed to himself a bit and shook his head as Alexis alerted them to the Invisible Corpse that had just entered the elevator. He sighed a loud sighed and started to talk. »

"Ok, why doesn't somebody ju--"

« Before he could get another word out, Haleigh had dispatched a grenade into the elevator as a loud bang had erupted, shattering whatever was in the elevator and three feet in front of it. Without warning the sprinklers also errupted which he knew Haleigh did just to annoy Alison as she rudely bumped into her as well. As Alexis lashed out at him, he realized that nothing was going to get done if they kept on like this. Haleigh and Alison were at each others throats, Alexis and Morgan were out for blood, Eva was here to get revenge. It seemed that Cameron was probably the one to be the most level headed in the entire group. Though he normally was only concerned with himself, he had become slightly connected with them, meaning that they annoyed him just a tad bit less than other people. As Cameron looked up, he was tired of getting wet as he used his telekinesis to stop the sprinklers and to put them back up. He turned back to the group. »

"Ok, I personally have had enough. Alison, Haleigh separate corners, and just stay out of each other's ways. Alison, if you know where we need to go, then let's get there, because I know two women who could care less about your petty and bitter feelings towards the rest of the people in this group and just want to get their revenge. We get it.. your a big bad uber bitch, but knock it OFF and tell us what we need to DO!"

« He was sure he would suffer a barage of unimportant and annoying insults from Alison with her venom dipped tongue. This woman was supposed to be so ultimately powerful and scary, but her emotions were always so out of whack he wondered how she was able to control them at all. Cameron was getting even more anxious to just get out of there and defeat the Citadle, and if Alison was any SEER at all, she would know that and stop being such a hardcore bitch, because honestly, that look was getting MORE than tired on her. »

"Morgan!"

:: Alexis yelled as she saw Morgan running down the hall and into the morgue. Soon, the tall blonde woman was out of sight. Turning around, her eyes gazed upon Guardian as she tore another ass hole for both Prophet and Haleigh. But as soon as she was done, she was gone as well. Only four remained.....taking a deep breath in, she turned back around looking towards the swinging double doors leading into the morgue. ::

"Let's go."

:: Alexis began to walk, not bothering to wait for the others. Yes, this wasn't the smartest move on her part, but unless they all stopped with the power striving, show off attitudes, they were all as good as dead anyway. Finally reaching the morgue doors, Alexis pushed it open, and stepped inside. The room flashed like strobe lights in a club, making everything in the room look extremely eerie. Scanning the area, she could see dead bodies, some freezer doors open, and silver stretchers scattered around the room. Stepping forward, Alexis kept her guard up as she scanned the room for the entrance to the citidel. ::

"Somehow I don't think anyone could have NOT seen that coming..."

« He followed closely on Alexis' footsteps as he entered the morgue as well knowing his teammates, if you could call them that were behind him. :: Before she could say anything more, Alexis heart skipped hearing her father's voice. Her eyes met with his....he hadn't changed one bit. His dark raven hair was longer than before, and his ebony eyes were washed over with evil...but still the very same man. Hearing the hate and disgust in his voice, just drawn her into what he was saying even more. Everything faded away, and only the monitor with Adam's image had Alexis' attention. Hearing his words, her eyes narrowed into a glare...she knew he was about to send a full on attack. As the image faded into a snowy screen, Alexis' eyes were still fixated on the monitor, not noticing the transformed doctor coming towards her. As the doctor lifted the bloody axe into the air, Alexis snapped out of it, turning to see the blade headed straight at her. Quickly ducking, she axe hit the silver metal flooring, causing sparks to fly into the air. Alexis quickly roundhouse kicked the heal of her foot into the arm in which the doctor was holding the axe. Quickly, Alexis did a dive roll, rolling behind the attacker. In the midst of her roll, she grabbed one of her blades that were tucked in her suite by her ankle. Standing up, Alexis grabbed the doctor from behind, in a somewhat headlock like grabbed. Reaching her arm around to the front of the doctor, she stabbed him right in the heart. ::

:: Alexis stumbled back grabbing her face as the blood sprayed onto it. But as soon as her eyes were closed, trying to avoid getting blood in them, the doctor lunged onto Alexis, slamming her to the ground, and making them both slide across the room. Gasping for air, Alexis kneed the doctor in the groin, making him loose his grip on her throat. Punching him with great force, her fist made contact with his jaw, making his head fly to the side. But the mutated doctor didn't miss a beat, and held a scalpel to Alexis' eye, ready to cut it out. Turning her head violently to the side, the scalpel scratched her cheek, leaving a deep gash that began to bleed. Growling, Alexis grabbed the doctor's head, placing both palms of her hands on each of his temple. Alexis sent pulses of electricity into his brain, making him shake violently. Smoke began to emit from his ears, eye sockets, nose, and mouth. White foam dribbled out of his mouth and landed on Alexis' chest. After a few more moments of electrocuting him, the pulses stopped. Pushing the doctor off of her, she rolled away from him and sat up. ::

"How do you like shock therapy, ass hole."

:: Standing, Alexis wiped her bleeding cheek. But her victory was short lived. Looking around the morgue, she saw gas streaming into the room. ::

"SHIT! We need to find the exit now! Knowing my father this is nerve gas....we'll be unconscious within 3 minutes once this room is completely filled. Eva! You know this place better than any of us. Is there a secret compartment that you know of? Maybe in one of the fridges they keep the bodies in? Anything. We need to get out of here NOW!"

:: Alexis ran to one of the fridges and opened it, then to another, and another, and another. Opening more fridges, she tried to find anything that looked like a passage out of this room. Going to the opposing wall, she placed her hands on the white bricks, feeling for anything that would indicate a button or door. ::

"Cameron! Try and close the vents! We need to stop some of the gas from coming in!"

Haleigh raised an eyebrow as Alexis shot off at the mouth.... she shooked her head and smiled, and as Alexis walked off, Haleigh flipped her the bird.

"Oh, Miss Quartermaine? How about you focus on this?" :D

Haleigh cracked the first serious smile all night.... she was just being jovial but that immediately disappeared when Morgan took off and Gaurdian opened her mouth. Haleigh's gaze turned on Alison. There was nothing in her eyes but ice... Prophet was standing right next to her... but he could feel nothing... no thoughts.... no emotion. But As Alison stopped talking, Haleigh sprung into motion, and Cameron was hit with a tidal wave of anger. Haleigh lunged at Alison... her hands going to grab the woman by the throat... but Alison disappeared just in time, and Haleigh instead hit the wall square with both elbows... hard enough to crack the thin sheetrock walls. An alarming beeping noise sounded off, coming from Haleighs pack... she stood back up straight... and just like that, the overpowering anger that suffocated the room was gone. Haleigh bent over her pack and looked at her handheld. Loss of signal from #705. Haleigh confirmed it to stop the noise. She grit her teeth and picked up her bag.

"I think she's got a thing for you, Cameron... I'm going to hurt her soon... human pin cushion? We'll see about that."

Haleigh looked after Spellbinder, and shook her head as she slid the strap to her bag over her shoulder and lifted her carbine, following after Morgan. These two women from Illustra were going to get them all far up shit's creek without a paddle. Haleigh entered the morgue without another word... she was ready to kill something... anything. She kept telling herself that it would be worth it to have her biggest competitor out of the way... but she also kept thinking about how she COULD be on a yacht in the Caribbean Sea drinking Mai Tais and getting a tan while reviewing updates on a new CI cell.

"And you.... Cameron King.... who are YOU trying to fool? You're not LEADING this haphazard 'team'.... you're tagging along... you're only HERE because you don't want to be out THERE... so lets ALL just take a deep breath and suck it up. NOBODY here knows how to work like a team... and that puts us ALL at Ri--"

She stopped and watched the monitor... she watched the doctor talk to Alexis... There was something familiar about the man on the screen. She watched alexis struggle with an infected.. not able to get a clear shot to take him out because they were tussling. Haleigh's heart stopped as she looked back up at the monitor, hearing her name. She opened her mouth to say something but was suddenly painfully smothered by an abnormally large hand. Her hands instinctively went up to grab it... but it was slippery... and bloody... and immensely strong, and it was dragging her back into the tub it was in. Haleigh couldn't breathe... and she was fighting like hell to recover that ability. the muscles of this man were exposed... and Haleigh dug her fingers to the bones of his arm and began RIPPING the muscles from their tendons. She sunk back into the liquid of the tub... the monster holding her under even as she tore its arm to bits.... Haleigh was growing furious again... the liquid in the tub shot into the air as though it had jet propulsion... and then stopped there... frozen solid as Haleigh pulled the last muscle fromt he forearm. She used both hands to snap the two exposed bones of the beasts forearm together... and finally broke free of its grasp. Haleigh got her knees under her in the tub... as the beast towered over her, screeching at her and flailing what was left or its arm around. Haleigh sunk back against the wall of the tub and raised a hand... she silently called all the water in its body to her... and in a few seconds... she bled it dry.

She got up shakily and climbed out of the tub.... wiping the blood from her face. She doubled over, clutching her ribs as Alexis electrocuted the doctor she was fighting.... she stabilized herself against the rim of the tub... abnormally high amounts of electricity always aggravated her old injuries.... she was too preoccupied to notice the nerve gas. Her handheld was going crazy with beeping.... letting her know that her and Alexis had sustained injuries. The overpowering ache in her torso lightened as Alexis stopped and began looking for an exit, and Haleigh was finally able to stand up again. She had no words for the moment... no witty sarcasm... her mind was drifting back to Adam's words... Haleigh Davidoff....how nice to see YOU again.

*Eva watched Spellbinder storm off, following her as she walked down the hallway, leaving the others behind to their tantrums and bickerings. It was already starting to drill on her nerves as she let out a nice long breath, the air in the hallway dropping a bit. All of a sudden Rabbit flashed and vanished, by the time she got to the door, there was no sign of the sorceress. She stood there for a moment, listening to the bitchfests going on behind her. Confused, she scratched her head and turned around in time to see Haleigh lunge for Alison and in a blink, she too was gone. She shook her head, closing her eyes as she evaded a slightly growing headache and walked into the morgue waiting for the others to show up, who weren't too far behind. Eva paced up the room, scanning around as they walked in, letting Cameron's words drift into her ear as her eye twitched a bit. She wasn't going to say anything just yet, the other two corrected him just fine. But if that ego of his persisted, he was going to see just how much she understood. She passed under a few blue lights and the television just as it stopped making so much noise. A voice came on that stopped her in her tracks. She turned around to see Alexis staring at the screen...and that voice, she'd recognize that voice anywhere. Adam Chandler. He taunted them from the screen while a corpse crept up on Alexis, knocking her over as they fought for control. She was a big girl...she could take care of herself. She walked back down and looked straight into the tv, staring at the man with a smirk on her face.*

"Hah, exterminated? Isn't that what you've been saying the LAST million times or so? Haven't seen much upkeep on that promise."

*Haleighs name popped up and she stopped and turned to look at her. What did she have to do with the Citadle that she wasn't telling them. She didn't notice anything near the woman until an enormous hand popped out of no where and literally covered her face. It pulled her back into a tub of some kind of liquid, just as the doors to the morgue slammed shut. She flipped around, more preoccupied with the doors than Haleigh at the moment. They sealed completely as a fizzing sound started to fill the room. She looked up into the upper edges of the walls as she noticed a slightly green tinged gas flooding in from it. Electricity exploded on one side of the room as Alexis finished electrocuting the doctor, while pieces of muscle tissue were being flung from within the tub. She slightly chuckled as Alexis ran wildly in the room, then looked back up at the vents.*

"Yes. Just give me a second."

*Her eyes exploded in rivlets of electric sparks, as high velocity vortex cyclones manifested themselves in front of each of the vents, sucking in all of the nerve gas that came out and keeping it encompassed within the eye of each cyclone. With the gas out of the way, Eva walked nonchalantly over towards another row of fridge compartments that Alexis had skipped over and pulled on a handle on the third row, about five feet off the ground. From normal view, it looked as if the flooring went straight on through horizontally, but from an upward angle, the inner casing was actually very much different.*

"I'd get a move on it if I were you all. We have a lot of catching up to do if Rabbit's where I think she is. And watch your backs."

*She took a small running leap at the freezers, placing a foot on one of the first row handles with a little propulsion onto a pipe that ran that particular side of the wall, pulling her legs up as her stomach muscles contracted. She swung herself a bit, landing her legs into the freezer as she slid in and vanished from view.*

« Cameron watched the turn of events go around him as well as bitch the others out in his head for trying to get a consistent plan together. Though he couldn't deny his true feelings. Their group worked a lot better without the distraction of Alison and Morgan in their faces all the time. As Eva created the cyclones, Cameron used his own telekinetic powers to seal the vents so that no more new gas would be flowing into the area. He almost felt somewhat proud of the group. They accomplished an entire task without fighting once. He watched how Eva talked to the man on the TV screen. That must have been Adam. Both Alexis, Eva and Haleigh seemed to be somewhat shaken up. From what he had seen in his Mind Scan of Alexis, the descriptions matched, only this Adam looked a lot older and worn out. He watched Eva slide into some hidden kind of trap door in one of the freezers as he followed her lead. He called to the rest of them to let them know what was going on as Haleigh still looked a little dazed from her battle with Mr. Stretch and Alexis seemed to be in a rage. »

"Come on. Let's Go! That girl moves fast!"

« Suddenly he looked at Haleigh and instantly had a premonition. He saw the others climbing into the trap door as he saw Haleigh standing back and doing nothing. She definitely had something up her sleeve and from the look in her eye in his vision he could tell that it wasn't something good. He decided desperate measures had to be taken. Cameron's skin took on a pale orange glow as there were suddenly two Cameron's. Cameron sent his real body into the tunnel with the rest as he created a mental illusion so that only Haleigh saw his astral form as he crawled back down and faced Haleigh. He didn't come off as rude but just concerned at what was going on. »

"Why aren't you going to come with us? I saw it in my vision.. What are you planning?"

« Somehow Cameron felt worlds safer just being with Haleigh and her bag of tricks than with the four of them all together. He waited for her response. »

Haleigh stood up as Eva vanished. Cameron stayed behind.... kind of. She looked up at him and brought her bag over to the chute, unwrapping the strap from her shoulder and turning it sideways, sliding it down the opening. She was shorter than Cameron by quite a bit... but had a strong presence... and the weariness that he'd detected from her small fight with the THING soon faded. she licked her lips... there was still some small smears of blood on her jawline... and she tossed her wet hair out of her face before she spoke.

"Yes... I wanted to talk to you. Morgan, Alison, Alexis and Eva are so much more involved in this venture than we are... you saw how Spellbinder abandoned us, and Gaurdian... Alexis will be next... and then Eva. the closer we get to the lower levels... the harder it will be on them. They will eventually succumb to their grief and anger... and mark my words.... soon we will be on our own. Nobody here realizes they are part of a TEAM... watch my back... I'll watch yours. Call it.. a neccessary alliance. When we get down there... shit is gonna hit the fan. I'd like some insurance. You're a businessman... I'm sure you would too."

« Cameron pondered his situation. Out of everyone in the entire team, where trust was concerned, though he trusted nobody, he decided to agree to Haleigh's deal. He put out his hand and offered to shake hers as a sign on their agreement. »

"I agree fullheartedly. But I want to make sure that this goes even to our own members as I have a feeling that Guardian will be gunning for me if she returns. We get down there, we get the job done, and we look out for each other.. It's an agreement.. I will see you in the tunnel!"

« And with that Cameron returned his astral form to his body as he found himself in the tunnel. He shook his head a bit and alerted the others to go slow so that Haleigh could catch up. »

"You guys.. Haleigh had trouble getting up here.. she's on her way.."

:: Turning to see Eva take care of the gas, she was one handy mutant to have around in these types of situations. Pulling more freexer doors open, she noticed Eva pull a single door open. Walking to the freezer, she saw it was a shoot of some sort....their exit. Standing back, allowing Eva to enter first, Alexis soon followed, crawling in head first, she slid down the shoot on her stomach, and tucker her body into a roll as she came to the bottom of the shoot, rolling onto her feet. Looking around the dark corridor, she held up her hand, emitting a bright blue glow to light the path for Eva and herself. Following Eva, she turned her head to see Cameron slide down the shoot. ::

"Eva..."

:: Walking up to Eva, she stood next to her, making it look as if they were waiting for Haleigh. Alexis began to whisper. ::

"Look...I don't trust those two as far as I can throw them. They don't understand what we went through with Adam...they're just here for the ride. So I have a proposition for you. From here on out, we have each other's back. You and I are the two most powerful people in this group of four....so I say we stick together. How about it?"

:: Her brilliant blue eyes shifted to Cameron then back to Eva. ::

"Alright...we're stopping."

:: Yelling up to Cameron, on his remark about having them slow down for Haleigh. She again looked at Eva awaiting her answer. ::

Haleigh nodded... she really didn't shake hands... but under the circumstances... she understood that the american culture shook hands in business transactions and so she reached out and shook his, and then let him go down the chute. She looked up at the monitor one more time... then rubbed her eyes softly. She pulled the door to the chute closed as she climbed up to the hole, and positioned herself feet first... no reason to risk anyone following them. She slid down with ease and come out a few seconds after cameron. Alexis and Eva were talking, it seemed... and Haleigh shared a moment of eye contact with Cameron as she walked to the edge of the platform they were all standing on. She knelt down by her bag... and opened the biggest compartment. She pulled out some equipment and a LOT of rope. She extracted some white sticks... and cracked them against the floor, causing them to illuminate a bright green. She threw a few down the open elevator shaft to get an idea how far down it went.... pretty damn far. there were four different cables all close together in the center of the shaft.... she took two tracks with 3 feet of rope attached to each of them and slung them over her shoulder.... and then stepped back...

The others likely wouldn't expect her next move... as she RAN full on for the edge and jumped.... but it seemed she must do things like that alot... for she connected with the large steel elevator cables easily and wrapping her legs around them to hold herself there as she prepared the first track, opening it, putting the rope in the center and closing it tightly. She jerked on it to make sure it was tight... and then hooked the other end to the loop in her suit. She relaxed.... so that the others could see these thick metal tracks would support their weight, and finally looked over at them. She didn't need to shout across the shaft... they could hear her fine in their earpieces, as she fixed the second track.

"Alright... Cameron... see what kind of assistance you can manage... you all need to get from there to here. I want you each to get one of these from that bag... then zip the bag up and bring it to me. You open it like this.... put the cable inside, then clamp it shut. Pull hard to make sure its locked before you hook the other end to that loop i showed you.... This is easy to work... squeeze it tight to release the tension... and youll go down. let go and you'll stop. Eva.... you know this place.... you let us know what floor we stop on."

*Eva came out of the shoot head first and immediately feel onto her hands and she rolled onto her feet, followed by Alexis who came next. She nodded and started down the dark corridor, creating a ball of flames to help out with light source. They kept walking, looking around and listening for sounds, approaching a spazzing elevator near the end of the hall. Alexis stopped and started talking, so Eva paused and turned around, keeping her hand out just in case anything else tried to sneak up on them. She seemed to ponder on the idea for a moment. She's always been alone, by herself, never having to deal with the care of other people. It'd be a new step for her, but one worth doing wisely.*

"They're just here so they don't get killed out there. Even Alison wants to kill their asses. I haven't seen them do anything useful but start arguments and get us abandoned, so deal it is. I'd rather stay with someone who can actually protect my back instead of staring at it."

*Cameron came tumbling out of the shoot and hit the floor. He mumbled something about waiting for Haleigh, of which again peeked her curiosity. If the woman was half the badass she proclaimed to be, sliding down shoots was not nearly that big of a problem for her. There was something definently up with her, or possibly the two of them seeing as they didn't have much connection to the Citadle, atleast not an information known yet. Haleigh came out of the shoot last, clutching her bag in hand as she walked past her and Alexis towards the out of power elevator behind them and started to work on it. She nodded towards Alexis and started for the elevator herself, helping Haleigh pry off the ceiling and climbing up onto the platform of the elevator.*

"Knock yourself out."

*She smiled and watched as Haleigh went to work connecting the ropes and tracks, watching her movement as she squatted in one of the corners of the elevator. She nodded as the woman gave directions, got up and walked towards the bag, pulling out two of each for Alexis and Cameron and handed it to them so they could get to work setting it up. She zipped up the bag and waited for Haleigh to prepare herself, tossing the bag over to her to catch.*

"Sure, I'll try my best. When you're all ready, of course."

*Eva gave a little hop off the edge of the platform as she fell a bit and then hovered around the giant mechanism. She glided down the edge with her ball of light for a moment to check out the rest of the shaft. The last thing they needed was some hybrid creature jumping at them from an unsuspected corner. Everything looked good so far. She flew up again a tad as she looked up and yelled that the coast was clear to there.*

:: Alexis smirked as she nodded to Eva. Finally, a woman with brains. Alexis turned back around and saw Haleigh finally come down the shoot. Walking past both herself and Eva, Haleigh started doing some project with ropes and pulleys. Walking towards the edge of the corridor, she looked down the large elevator shaft seeing the green glow stick that Haleigh threw down there laying on the ground. Looking like it was a few flights down, Alexis glanced back up taking the ropes from Eva and nodding to her once again. ::

"I don't need these.....but thanks."

:: Winking at Haleigh, she jumped off the edge of the corridor into the elevator shaft. She disappeared for a few moments, but soon hovered in the air, standing on her "disc" of energy. Looking towards Eva, she noticed she too was flying around the shaft, not in need of the ropes or pulleys. Shrugging, Alexis looked up at both Haleigh and Cameron. ::

"Eva and I will meet you down there....if you two don't want to fuss with those ropes, just say the word."

:: Her tone was somewhat cocky, but she was sincere about helping them if they didn't want to use the ropes. Gliding down the elevator shaft, her disc lit the surroundings as she finally made it to the bottom. The disc disappeared into the ground, the moment Alexis landed. Bending down, Alexis picked up the green glow stick, holding it in front of her. Turning around slowly, 360 degrees, she allowed the glow stick to light up the entire area to see where exactly she was. Without the glow stick...she would be in complete darkness. Standing up, Alexis was standing on top of an broken down elevator that was only feet from it's destination. She could see the floor in which the elevator was meant to stop through the bent open elevator doors...it appeared to be another experiment type room. ::

:: Looking up at Eva, Haleigh, and Cameron, she watched for a few moments seeing what they were doing exactly, but something distracted her. Hearing a faint scuffing sound coming from the floor, Alexis slowly turned back around, looking at the opening. The sound became louder, sounding like feet dragging on a concrete floor. Holding the glow stick out in front of her, it only lit a few feet in front of her, not allowing her to see what was coming towards the elevator shaft. Whatever it was, it could see Alexis for sure. ::

"I'm on top of an elevator..."

:: Alexis yelled, her voice echoing throughout the shaft. ::

"It's only a few feet below a floor....and as of about a 20 seconds ago, it sounds like we have company."

:: Alexis' tone was calm, although in this situation, any normal person would be freaking out. Keeping her eyes fixated on the floor, the sound gradually became louder and louder. Whatever it was, it was coming towards the elevator shaft very slowly. ::
