<< New York City, Illustra. Late night/early morning. The Six and their allies had returned from Limbo to Illustra. the "storm" had long faded with the destruction of the wraiths and Illustra had been secured and cleared of all traces of them.>>
<< while the threat of MALICE may have ended, her long shadow still cast over them, the damage she caused would be felt for a long time to come. EVERYONE was so tired and weary both in mind and body and upon their return, they retired on their invidual floors. like a flower during a frost, the six rested their minds and bodies. several days would pass as they remained safetly nestled within the private residence floors of Illustra>>
<< but they could not stay in forever. they had lives to live and now they were faced with the task of finally laying one of their own to rest. Cameron King, a founding member of the Six. He was the baby brother of Alison Marble aka Guardian and had been murdered by Malice.>>
<< Not many things fazed the stone cold Seer, but as powerfull as she is, she had been unable to save her brother from Malice and the guilt, the PAIN of that haunted even HER marble hard heart...it even...invaded her DREAMS.>>

:: a crisp, cleary, slightly breezy morning. in the serenly silent, massive expanse of a gothic cemertary and out in the open, Alison Marble, along with the rest of the Six, their allies INCLUDING Ororo and other select guests are now gathered to pay their final respects to Cameron King.::
:: Alison sits silent, wearing a chic , slightly "above the knee" black dress with a split up the side and round rimmed Gucci sunglasses to hide her cobalt blue eyes. Morgan sits beside her and Delilah sits on the other side. the rest of the six are either seated or standing behind her.::
:: as the priest delievers a solemn euglogy, Alison continues to sit. she doesnt move, even as her blue/black hair blows in the breeze. what she's thinking or feeling is anyone's guess. but as the priest continues on...the winds seem to grow louder, more fierce...causing those in attendance to shift and fidget more.::
:: Alison looks up and the winds are now whipping...causing people to cry out and take cover before the GROUND begins to tremble and SHAKE!::
:: Morgan grabs Alison's hand as she begins to grow agittated...is this HER doing...her telekinetic power responding to her emotions? before Morgan can ask Alison, the coffin with Cameron King's body FALLS off its support and slides into the burial plot at an angle, the coffin OPENS up from being jarred. Alison cries out and gets up, but trips and falls forward..SLAMMING her head on the metal frame around the burial plot. she seems to have knocked herself out. and all falls silent.::
:: seconds later, Alison jolts to consciousness with a bit of blood coming from a cut on her forehead. she still has on her sunglasses and turns back...the guests there are looking rather concerned and disoriented, as they struggle to adjust now that the winds have stopped. she turns back and looks into the hole...the coffin is open..and there lie's Cameron's body. The coffin seems large now...and the lower end is not visible..only blackness::
:: but there's something ELSE inside the coffin as well.. she hears a soft, malevolent laugh in the air. it sounds DEMONIC now. As she looks down, she sees...a LITTLE GIRL with dark hair and blue eys....the little girl is in a white dress...and has a look of fear on her face. Alison's cobalt blue eyes WIDEN as the little girl cries out for ALISON to help her! WHY does the girl seem FAMILIAR to Alison? how does the girl even KNOWN Alison?::
:: from the depths of the Coffin emerges a HORRID, decrepit, twisted looking MALICE, with a blood dripping from a DEEP wound that encircles her entire neck. no doubt from where she was decapitated. WHAT IS SHE DOING HERE!? HOW IS SHE ALIVE!?::
:: the horrifying looking Malice, laughing softly, PULLS the little girl down into the blackness of the coffin, down past the area of Cameron's legs and Alison, gasping at the sight of this, JUMPS down into the hole to try to reach for the girl and pull her out! but she's too late!::
NO!
:: Alison cries out! has she failed to save yet ANOTHER person from the now zombie-esque White Queen? Even as Alison reels from the site of this and wonders why Morgan or someone hasnt come to help her....the BODY of Cameron King slowly turns...and his eyes OPEN! They look so EMPTY. Alison GASPS with shock as tears of blood begin to stream from Cameron's eyes...and he calls out::
Cameron: ALISONNNN!! why didnt you...SAVE ME!? Didndt you CARE FOR ME!?
:: Alison recoils in shock and horror. she tries to get out of the coffin but finds that she is LOST inside ...::
Cameron: stay with me Alisonnnnnnnn! stay with with your baby brother!!!
:: Cameron's corpse reaches out and grabs Alison, latching on to her and pulling her into the darkness below in the coffin....and Alison...so stunned can only close her eyes...::
:: SCREAM!!!::
THE REAL WORLD- Illustra, 106th floor
:: the NIGHTMARE ends as Alison's body WRITHES with fear, shock and a desperate need to ESCAPE as she jolts back to waking consciousness while SCREAMING. ::
:: she finally realizes it was::
NO!!.........a dream.......
:: now sitting up in her large, king sized, antique darkwood sleigh bed, she covers her face with her hands her blue/black hair falls forward. she regulates her breathing as she softly utters that it was only a dream.::
:: still shaken...she dare not look in the mirror across the way, lest she see the image that has haunted her for the last few days now...the image of her dead brother starring at her with those cold, sad, empty eyes...and tears of blood::
:: today was the day that Alison would bury her baby brother...and say goodbye for the last time.::

Meanwhile on another floor of Illustra sounds of groans, grunts, and smacking could be heard. No! Not that kind of activity. Shadows on the wall danced off the walls like lightning as a certain fiery mutant was exercising. Her fists enveloped in small fingerless gloves as she punched the thick black punching bag. Her left leg swung to kick the bag as it swung around on its springs.
She had slept a full two days with her arm fully recovered now. White wiring strapped around her slender waist disappearing inside her ears to indicate she was listening to music via her IPod. A pair of black Nike track pants adoring her legs and a white form - fitting wifebeater clung to her well - endowed chest. Her sweaty chocolate locks were haphazardly held into a messy pony - tail.
Rob Zombie's 'Living Dead Girl' rang loudly through her headphones. Flickering candles and burning incense lingered in the background. But other than that the outside world was shielded from her world.
Dipping her body down to knee the bag. Who was she fighting? It seemed Foxfire had her own pent up aggression while others dreamed nightmares. Since returning to Illustra she had her floor sound proofed due to her vigorous dance routines and tai - chi.
Her sage - green eyes now a haunting yellow with her cheeks flushed. Backflipping her white sneakers connecting into the punching bag. A loud SMACK was echoed only in her suite. Her heart slamming inside her chest before grabbing a pair of sais. Flinging one to a life - size dummy. The metal of the sais was deeply impeded into the boxing dummies forehead. Flames around the room lengthed to elevate her shadow.
A pair of laser beams opened from the ceiling to target Blaze. Her fast movements increased to evade the red beam. Her other sais thrown to terminate the pester. Glancing at the clock that hung gloomily to her left. She stopped reaching for a white towel, her breathing slightly labored.
Today was the day the team came face to face with the death of Cameron King. Turning off her IPod, Blaze sunk down upon a lounge chair. Grabbing her bottle of water to refresh herself. She didn't know how to feel on this day. Blaze wasn't close to Cameron the way Haleigh was. Despite her actions in battle Blaze sent both Haleigh and Alison a beautiful rare arrangement of flowers flown in from Paris. She also sent a small card that offered her condolences. She had a feeling both women would either rip the flowers to shreds or send them away. But, at least it showed the mutant was human and unlike others on the team she did have a heart.
She also offered another bouquet of flowers for the ceremony which were flown in from Japan. Memories of Cameron filling her mind like hot lightning. Turning to see a portrait of herself, Alexis, and Cameron. She looked closely at the frame, her thumb running over the outline of Cameron. Her eyes fading to that emerald tint but even they were misty. Despite what she said about Cameron, Blaze secretly respected him. But, she couldn't let that be known. And despite their contrasting differences Blaze did care for the guy. He saved her ass on more than one occasion. Blaze would need to get ready soon but she found herself frozen in the chair. Cameron's death beginning to cause a rift in her soul, one that was not present before.

Zach stood in the bedroom, watching himself in the full length mirror as he began putting on a black oxford shirt. Haleigh had gone to answer the knock on the door. she came back a few seconds later, dressed halfway in a knee length black skirt and a bra, carrying a beautiful array of flowers. She set them on the bedroom dresser, searching briefly for the card.
"Did you send these? They're so exotic!"
She said happily, even as he shook his head. She had been acting this way all morning, but he knew what emotion laid beneath the facade. He also knew she wasn't acting this way to fool him... only herself. As Haleigh read the card, her eyes grew darker and her face went flat... and when she was finished, she looked at the flowers for a second... and then slammed her hand in a swiping motion, knocking them clean off the dresser and scattering them everywhere. Zach stopped dressing and took Haleigh in his arms to comfort her. She had been meeting EVERYTHING adverse with anger the past two days. Even the dogs were skirting around her, able to sense the simmering rage.
Zach:"Haleigh, baby?"
"I... I can't do this. I'm not going."
Zach:"Honey.... why not?"
"Because.... if I do... it'll mean he's really dead... and I don't want to DEAL with that right now.... and I don't want to deal with those PEOPLE. I want to KILL SOMEBODY."
Zach:"Cameron is really gone whether we go to his service or not.... but he deserves to be honored and remembered, most of ALL by you... and if you don't go, you'll hate yourself later."
"I hate myself NOW, it won't really be much of a change."
Zach:"Well.... what about Alison? She NEEDS you there. She needs your support and I think you would really BENEFIT from getting OUT of this loft. You haven't even walked the dogs since you got back... You've just been holed up in here and I'm starting to worry about you. We should go. For Cameron and Alison."
Haleigh seemed to be on the verge of relenting. She sighed softly but her voice was still steely. "If Blaze says ANYTHING about Ava, I swear to God..."
Zach finally let Haleigh go and he lifted her chin up to look in her eyes. "One step at a time, love. Let's finish getting dressed first." Haleigh nodded with a sad smile, and nothing else was said between them as they got dressed.

<< a stepping disc opens within Alison's luxury apartment on the 106th floor. Morgan Victoria emerges up from the disc, rushing forward into Alison's bedroom, wearing a beautifull and sexy pink silk MINI robe that gives a very fullfilling view of her long, smooth flawless legs and ALMOST a view ...the slightest PEEK of something else in the back. :D what, if ANYTHING Morgan is wearing under this sexy mini robe is unclear but her legs are supported by pink gem toned high heeled slides. Her hair was down, resting at her shoulders with slight bangs.>>
ALISON?
<< Morgan rushed into the Seer's room>>
all you allright!?
I felt your distress, heard your scream!
<< she looked around to make sure there were no intruders. upon not seeing any, she came over to the bed, and sat down beside Alison.>>
was it...a nightmare? or something else?

:: having drawn her legs up and wrapped her arms around her calves, Guardian rests her head on her knees. still hiding her face as her blue/black hair fell forward. she sighed as she continued to sit in her large, king sized sleigh bed. she knew Morgan would come, and right on cue, Morgan's stepping disc flashed open in another area of the luxury apartment and Morgan ran to Alison's room. ::
:: as Morgan asked if Alison was okay, Alison didnt lift her head, she just continued to sit.::
:: in a cold, weak voice::
I am...fine.
It was a nightmare...but not just a nightmare..it almost seemed like there was a VISION hidden within the nightmare.
:: she looked over finally as Morgan sat with her on the bed, and handed her a glass of water.::
I can't exactly put my finger on what it was that i was supposed to "see", but we were at cameron's funeral. there was an odd calm in the air, but then came winds and an earth quake. the coffin fell into the burial plot and the lid flew open. i ran forward...and fell, hitting my head. when i finally woke up , i heard a faint, demonic laugh. it was Malice. i looked into the plot and the coffin and there was a little girl with black hair and blue eyes....and she was crying out for help, Malice was dragging her down into the darkness of the coffin and i tried to reach for her but i missed. Cameron's body..it reanimated....tears of blood streaming from his eyes, before he...he ATTACKED ME!
:: a wind howled outside as the first light of dawn broke.::
I ..dont know what it means. But i'm too tired to think. there's much to be done today with the funeral and I just dont know how i'll get through!
:: Alison was disgusted with herself, she felt so weak and vulnerable and it was ONLY in front of Morgan that she would show this without trying to hide it. ::

The Grandfather in the background struck accordingly. Blaze who had received a telephone call confirming her flowers were sent to Haleigh Davidoff. Snapping out of her daze she shut her black and silver Motorola phone. "God knows what that girl's going to do to those flowers." Sighing heavily, Blaze got up from the comfort of her chair disappearing into the bathroom for what seemed like an hour.
Returning to her room she decided to go against the dark and gloomy look today. Picking out an all white suit. Slipping inside the suit with success it offered Blaze a crisp and refreshing look. She hated funerals in fact she could always feel the spirit world constantly revolving around her. Finishing up her white tie before buttoning up the suit up. A pair of white pumps adding to her short height. Applying a natural set of makeup instead of dark and smoky. Leaving her hair down and curled to every end.
Enya's "Only time" played in the background as small droplets of rain fell outside. A soft mist but not a steady rainfall. A knock at the door caused her to frown. Walking out to see a glamorous ebony skinned woman. Blaze's lips lifted into a genuine smile.
"Vivica."
Her lover smiled, wearing a Prada black and silver dress that accentuated her beautiful body. Accompanied by a small - form fitting white v - neck top and a black blazer that was also Prada. A set of elegant white pearls adoring her slender neck and small diamond earrings. Vivica looked stunning even for a funeral. Her dark locks swept up into a stylish updo, which equally framed her face.
The two embraced in a tender hug and a kiss. "I heard about Mr. King I'm truly sorry Blaze. He was a gentlemen to me whenever I needed a suitable hotel. Usually most CEO's are arrogant and uptight but he was sweet." Blaze smiled at this, Cameron King a gentlemen? That was a new one in her book but she could actually visualize Cameron doing so.
"Thanks for coming. I could use a bit of support. I'm the black sheep of my friends..." She tried to laugh nervously. Vivica shook her head, "Well, give them some space. Each of them need space right now especially when dealing with something as tragic as this." She said gently, trying to make Blaze understand. And believe it or not she did.
"I'd like to go now, beat the traffic."
Vivica nodded, "I'll take us." She said, reaching down for Blaze's warm hand. It was ironic how opposite the two looked. Vivica was stylish and chic in all black and Blaze looked refreshed and well rested in all white. The two exited her suite as Blaze carried two single red and white long - stemmed roses.
Walking to the elevator, Vivica could see her lover was stressed. Something she was keeping a secret but the actress would not push it. The two hand - in - hand as they climbed inside Illustra's elevator. The elevator beeped as the pair descended several floors.
Vivica turned and placed her hand in the small of Blaze's back. "Its okay Blaze...to mourn I mean. You don't have to put on that tough cookie act with me. Your eyes give you away...." Blaze smiled looking to Vivica, "I've been told that...I just wish there was something I could do for the others especially Haleigh and Alison."
The elevator chimed and the two walked out hands clasped together. "The best thing you can offer them is space. Let them come to you....your so fiery and hot tempered." You have no idea, Vivica. She thought to herself climbing into the passenger side of Vivica's black BMW.

:: It had been two days since returning from Limbo after the six's hellish confrontation with Malice and the Dire Wraiths. After being shot six times while under the possession of Malice, being transported to a realm that literally eats her life away, AND diving in front of a massive Psi javalline attack unleashed by Malice; the goddess had stayed in bed the entire time back. In fact, she had NO desire whatsoever to see anyone on the team considering the fact she had put her life on the line for them when all they were doing was bickering and fighting. She was so badly damaged, mind and body, Morgan, Alison, and Dr. Victoria had to heal her using potions and magick. It just didn't sit well with Persephone knowing how her REAL team, the MOE, would have never taken such a sacrifice for granted, let alone allow their emotions to overtake them during the heat of a battle. Obviously these people still considered her an 'outsider' regardless of her efforts put forth in the past mission. ::
:: Pushing herself up from the large king sized mattress, Persephone's long ebony locks fell along her shoulders and chest, framing her paled face beautifully. Coughing softly, her chest felt hollow and cold, like having a bad chest flu. A residual effect from having extensive wounds AND being in Limbo at the same time. Karen assured her it was serious and it would pass in a few days, therefore it was more of an annoyance than anything. ::
:: Brushing back the large comforter that laid askew around her body, she pushed herself off the elevated bed and made her way around to her bathroom. Today was the funeral of Cameron King, a founding member of the six. Although she did not know him, she felt it necessary to pay her respects for Alison's sake. ::
:: Shedding her clothing, although still in bed, she had awoken earlier that morning and already showered. She was simply to drained to stay awake and decided on a small nap before finishing getting ready for the funeral. Grabbing the simple black (her trademark color) velvet,Marc Jacobs knee length dress (http://www.ajolie.org/gallery/albums/albums/appearances/lara-croft-thecradle-of-life-premiere-japan-2003/normal_lara-croft-thecradle-of-life-premiere-japan-004.jpg), that hung behind her bathroom door, Persephone slipped into it before exiting her bathroom. Making her way to her dresser, she ran her fingers throughout her curled hair deciding to leave it as is. Dabbing some Jasmine oil on her wrists and behind her ears, she bent down to grab her black sling back, peep toe shoes before sitting on the bed to put them on. Standing once more, she moved back to the dresser picking up her metallic gold clutch purse and gold cuff bracelet in the shape of an ancient serpent. One of the few original pieces Persephone has kept with her since the days the Gods roamed the earth. ::
:: Exiting her bedroom, Persephone slipped on the serpent cuff past her hand, allowing the beautiful jewelry to rest boldly on her wrist and lower forearm. Making her way into her livingroom, Persephone rested her purse on the coffee table before sitting on the couch. Coughing more roughly this time, she lifted her hand to her mouth, shaking her head in frustration. She really hated the fact she was going to see these people today. Especially considering now she wasn't going to give them the luxury of holding her tongue any longer. ::
"Bastards."
:: She mumbled, her English accent horse but still beautiful, as she cleared her throat before standing once more. Maneuvering around her couch and walking into the kitchen, she grabbed a bottle of water that she had previously opened earlier that morning, and took a sip soothing her scratchy throat. ::
:: Shifting her violet outlined eyes to the stove clock, it was nearly time to leave for Cameron King's funeral. ::

Nicolas sat srenely, mediataing as he had done for the past cpuple of days. He had healed quite quickly interms of physical dmage, but it took longer to center himself, to dealwith what has happened to the team. He was tempted to contact the others, but there were problems galore.
First, he honestly did not know Morgan very well, and he wished that any visit not be seen as a "booty call", a chance to further the banter started at the Terror Dome. No, he would give her time to rest, reconnect when he felt it was more appropriate.
As for Alsion, Haleigh, and Delilah, he was not very close to any of them, so he did nothing in the days to contact them.
Persephone, he did appreciate her very much after her sacrifice, but the icy goddess was hard to get to know, and he also wnated to take it more slowly.
One person who he did contact was Dr. Karen Victoria. He took a moment to cherish her return, and he confided in her the connection he felt, the feeling that she had been, for the first time ever, a mother figure to him. She seemed quite touched by the statement, and he was glad that it appeared that she would indeed stay a fixture in his life.
Nicolas left orders at the front desk to leave a rose for each of the ladies in the Six in the lobby, to be given to them as they passed. All of them got a red rose with a card that read, "From a friend--Nicolas", except for Persephone who received three roses with a card. Her card read, "A rose for each life you saved. Thank you. Nicolas."
As he finished his orders and finished his grooming, he dressed in a custom-tailored 3-piece black suit with 3/4- length jacket, an ivory silk shirt with white tie and matching hat and silver-tipped cane. He called for his car, and quietly walked downstairs to go to the funeral of a man who he did not know, but who was instrumental in creating that which he was now a part of.

[ Delilah lay with her eyes closed, soaking in her claw foot porcelain tub. Her wet hair was in a mass on top of her head, wisps clinging to her neck. She sighed - she felt so relaxed, so whole, after these past few days. She knew that this day would be trying, and she was putting it off as long as possible. She had to be there for Alison, though - she wasn't sure how the Seer was going to handle this day, after all that she'd been through in the past weeks.
She finally resigned herself to getting out of the bath, and dressed for the funeral. Wearing a J. Mendel dress (http://files03.glam.com/community/files/images/IMG_0143-01.jpg) and black jacket, she pulled her hair back in a high pony. Grabbing a small black clutch and sunglasses, she opened the door to the hall. She paused, as a thought struck her. There was someone she needed to see before the day really began.
She got into the elevator and pressed the button for Persephone's floor. Finding herself at the goddess' door, she rang the bell. ]

Her four inch healed Jimmy Choo's tapped against the hardwood floors as she made her way from the bathroom and down the hallway to the door. Opening one of the large cherrywood doors, she was surprised to see Morningstar standing on the other side. ::
:: With a slight roll of her eyes, Persephone placed her hand along the closed cherrywood door, to the side, and leaned against it to show Delilah was no way invited into her home. :;
"Yes?"
:: It was apparent that she was pissed off at Haleigh, Blaze, Nicolas, and Delilah. The situation as a whole, really. But the goddess simply kept her amethyst eyes focused on the blonde awaiting the reason as to why she showed up here. ::

"I'm fine."
:: Her voice cold and even, Persephone's eyes narrowed very slightly as she met with Delilah's. Keeping her eyes locked to the woman's for a few tense moments, she finally moved away from the door allowing Delilah entry to her home. ::
"I must say, the gratitude on this team is quite amazing. Boundless, really."
:: Her voice raising in volume as she walked away from the door and toward the couch. The obvious sarcasm dripping from her tone. ::
"I'm surprised this 'Cameron King' is even getting a funeral."
:: Turning to meet Delilah with grim expression, a muffled cough managed to escape her lips, as she stood facing Morningstar. Turning her head away as the cough increased in intensity, Persephone lifted the back of her hand to her mouth until the small fit stopped. Parting her moist lips with her tongue, she looked back to Delilah with a restless expression. ::

"I just wanted to say that when you first arrived on the scene I was skeptical about the benefit to allowing you on the team. But I have to say-"
[ She took a deep breath. ]
"-that you really held your own against Malice and the Dire Wraiths. I was wrong about you. You really saved us when we were in limbo. So I just wanted to say...thank you."

< Erika King stepped out of her black stretch limo and found herself at the entrance to Illustra; a place she had not visited in quite sometime. In fact the last time she had been there was to watch her mother spread the blood of a dog all over the walls, and now, she was there to help her sister bury their brother Cameron. It was rather bittersweet that a reunion of sisters had to come with the death of the one thing that kept them connected. Erika wondered if with Cameron's death she would also lose her sister again. The thought shrugged from her mind. Erika had recently completed extensive training with Ororo in Limbo and was now free to leave the grounds of the Citadel. She looked much more youthful and vibrant than she normally did and seemed to have a dark edge that she didn't before. Taking a deep breath, she headed into the building and went up to the receptionist. >
"Yes, Hello. Erika King... I am here to see.. I am here to see my sister, Alison Marble.."
< The secretary nodded and gave the look. The look she had been getting since the news was broadcast out to the world. The look of pity and disdain. Like they felt so bad for her but couldn't say it or didn't want to piss her off. She was sick of the look. How many times would she have to see that look today? Shaking it off, she headed into the private access elevator and began her ascending up the many floors of the building. >
"Goddess, give me strength to get this day, and may this be a day where nothing happens, to anyone for that matter. No fights, no death, just a day of rememberence..."
< She knew that was a long stretch but she felt that maybe her words would give it power, that maybe for just one day, all the fighting and bickering would stop and she could just take a moment to forgive or think of her brother. Becoming lost in thought, she found herself upon the 108th floor of Illustra Inc. It was time to see Alison and the girls. She was nervous but knew that her sister would try and be the strong one today. Maybe it was okay for Erika to break down after all. With her fingers trembling, she rang the doorbell and waited for a response. >
"Come on Alison... let me in..."

<< Morgan listened as as Alison spoke. she knew all too well what it was like to be plagued about nightmares of a dead sibling. the pain, the guilt and the feeling of loss of control. For ALISON, a woman who was always put together and known for her cold and brutal efficiency, this was agony. Morgan felt so bad for her dear friend as she put her hand on Alison's shoulder.>>
Malice is DEAD. She can't come back...NO one comes back from the soul sword. Alison, you'll get through it the best way YOU can. You dont have to put on a pretense for ANYONE and I'll be here to help you! you know that. So will Delilah.
<< Morgan was not really aware of the breakdown that had occurred with the rest of the team during the battle with Malice and the Dire Wraiths, but it was obvious that the dynamic had changed between them. Morgan and Alison had been wrapped in a murderous psychosis. the shock and pain from Malice's manipulations and so, they were rather "lost" to certain things at that time. From the moment she, alison and her mother had saved Persephone from death with their combined magicks, she knew something BAD had happened. She also knew that Blaze had something to do with it. Morgan was determined to shield Alison from that nonense and if she had to bit heads off, she would.>>
Don't you worry, I'll make SURE that you make it through. After the funeral, Alycia will handle the executing of Cameron's will and we just take things one step at a time.
<< she hugged Alison for a moment, she knew the seer was weary in her mind and was not quite herself.>>
I'm going upstairs to get ready. I'll meet you down here and we'll pick Delilah up on the way to the main floor. my mother is riding with us in the Escalade as well.
<< waving goodbye, Morgan teleports, via stepping disc back to her luxury penthouse on Illustra's top floor. she refreshes her body and prepares for this most unpleasant occasion.>>
<< finaly emerging from her chamber of dreams, Morgan looked sexy yet very sophisticated in a Dolce & Gabbanna black dress which accentuates her feminine model stature and her long, smooth flawless legs are suported matching black Donna Karan 4 inch high heels. her hair slicked back in a sleek and simple style. her make-up is also minimalist, giving her a icy, sophisticated presentation.

:: Clearing her horse throat, Persephone swept her hair away from her face, listening to Delilah speak. Pursing her lips together and raising a single brow at Morningstar's 'assumption' that she wasn't going to be an asset to the team, the goddess shook her head and looked toward the large fireplace. But as she continued on, the brunette looked back to hear the rest of what she had to say. After her thank you, Persephone stood silent until Delilah began to make her way toward the door. Although still very much pissed at half the team, the fact that Delilah made an effort to come and speak with her, showed a lot about her character. Not only as a team mate, but as a woman. ::
"Thank you."
:: Blurting out those two words Persephone absolutely hated, she sucked in a heavy breath before crossing her arms along her chest. ::
"I appriciate that you came up here. That you spoke with me considering the rest of your teammates have not."
:: Making sure to say 'your teammates', Persephone in any way, shape, or form, felt as though the six were her team. Nor did she feel as though she was apart of it. Still distant from Morningstar, Persephone's cold temper dampered for a moment. ::
"I'll see you at the service."

Sunken snugly in the passenger side of the luxurious BMW. Blaze's green eyes were masked behind a pair of black sunglasses. She gazed lazily out of the window to enjoy the scenery while Vivica drove. She would probably be the first to arrive, but better off so.
Vivica looked over at Blaze who seemed aloof and overly distant. "Would you like to talk about it, Blaze?" Her soothing voice calling out to the mutant. Biting down on her bottom lip, Blaze shook her head. Nicolas' red roses were tightly clutched in her lithe fingertips. "No, I just want to move on." Vivica figured it was the effect of Cameron's funeral but who was to say?
The side to the large Cathedral church was quiet. This was the same church the team had been present for during Sharon Kelly's reception. Finding a parking spot, both women got out with a black umbrella in hand. Clicking the alarm to her car, Vivica walked along side Blaze already seeing a few friends and family entering. Although Blaze didn't recognize them she figured them to be.
A few flash photographers flashing at Vivica, after all she was a famous actress. Waving her hand out to block the blinding flashes. She was becoming seriously irritated at these parasites. She wanted to pay her respects and be a support system for Blaze.
The two disappearing inside finding their seats up front. Blaze sat down folding her shaky hands in her lap. "Honey?" Vivica called but Blaze cleared her throat gently. "I'm fine its just...this church. We're always here and its never a happy occasion." She said full of gloom. Removing her dark sunglasses to place them on the wooden bench. Reaching out Viv grabbed Blaze's hand to offer a squeeze of comfort. "You know in my family we celebrate the honor and memory of someone. We look at it like a passing from one life to another a sort of rebirth if you will."
Blaze didn't dare look at the coffin, she couldn't. Crossing one leg at the knee she took a deep breath. Vivica admired the flowers, setup, and overall look of the old church. "Its done so elegant and beautiful." Blaze peeked her head up, seeing a few people mourning in front of her. Her empathy connecting and doubling her own sorrow.
Looking up at the dome of the church she stared at the stained glass. Blaze was a bit of an atheist herself so to be in a church was a bit awkward for her. Pulling back the sleeve of her suit she glanced at the time for the hundredth time.

I'ts...Erika, Morgan. You can let her in.
:: the seer's cold voice could be heard a few feet behind Morgan who had slightly opened the massive double doors to Alison's luxury appartment. Alison, who had already "saw" erika's arrival, was looking "refreshed" in appearence if NOT in soul and spirit, standing there in a sophisticated figure flattering "spaghetti strapped" donna karan black dress. her blue/black hair was slightly shorter and resting easily in a bouncy "bob" do. Alison looked very cold in her facial expression as her cobalt blue eyes seemed to be blank with no vitality::

Hello Erika. I'm sure you remember Morgan.
:: Alison didnt move, she stood there, looking at Erika with her cobalt blue eyes, before finally concealing them behind her donna karan sun glasses. she abruptly ended the "pleasantries".::
Morgan, can you get Dr. Victoria and Delilah? we should go.

< Erika was surprised to see Morgan Victoria standing at the door, but then again who else was there to console Alison on this day? Definitely not Erika, or Cameron for that matter. She put on a display of calm confidence and composure as she stepped in the door and embraced Morgan into a hug. >
"Hello, Morgan.. It's good to see you, though I am sure these aren't the best of circumstances..."
< She made her way to the living room and took a seat. >
"How is Alison holding up.. I hope she is doing better than myself. How are the girls.. are they up yet? Are they going to the funeral? Certainly Cameron would want his daughters there...though.. it may be a little too much for them to handle.. They are definitely daddy's girls..."
< Erika took a moment to think of neices Sydney and Sarah. They were emotional wrecks when they heard the news that their father was dead, and what was worse, now that they were about to turn eighteen they would have nobody responsible for them, no parents, nothing, depending on the outcome of the will later on in the morning. >
"I am just worried about them. What are we going to do with them.. Do you think Cameron named a guardian in his will? I don't know if he thought that far ahead.. I remember one tim--"
< Erika stopped herself. She couldn't go there right now. She couldn't reminisce about her brother on the day of his funeral. Especially right before giving his euology. >
"I think I will just force myself through the eulogy before going into fond memories... I think that is best..."
< She found herself wiping a spot off the glass coffee table meticulously. Everyone has their way of dealing with loss and anger and cleaning was Erikas'. >
"Oh Hello Alison..."
Edit:
< There was definitely strange tension going on between them. >
" I guess I will meet you there then? It's good.. to see you.."
< She grabbed Alison in a less than lovely hug that was awkward for them both. >

<< Morgan returned Erika's embrace lightly. When last they parted ways, Morgan, Alycia and Sharon Kelly had exchanged catty comments with Erika. Morgan was NEVER fond of this woman, BUT after the time had passed, and knowing that Ororo had been training her AND given the situation, Morgan opted to be nice to her, at least for Alison's sake.>>

I don't know about that, Erika. That's something Alycia Barnett will be handling. I think you should just wait till after the service before bringing that up.

Alright, i'll get them now, BUT << she said, looking at Erika directly>> I'll be BACK.

<< it was clear that there would be problems and issues to deal with between Alison and Erika. Family gatherings and Funerals always had a way of bringing "issues" to the surface. but not only that, there was the rift between Persephone and the rest of the team, who had largely IGNORED her selfless act to save them from Malice. Delilah, being the honorable woman that she is, attempted to make ammends and bridge the gap between herself and Persephone...a wise move. How the others would deal remained to be seen.>>
<< down on the main floor of Illustra, in the circular, crystaline lobby, Morgan, Alison, Delilah, Dr. Victoria all stood together having received the lovely flowers that NICOLAS had left for each of them. It was a very sweet and thoughtfull gesture on his part. Erika was on the outside of the circle. Morgan PERSONALLY made sure of that, as she could see that Alison was struggling to contain her apparent contempt for her younger sister.>>
<< the women remained quiet, waiting for Rampage, Haleigh, Zach and Persephone to come down. Morgan wanted to know how everyone was getting to the cemetary before they left. Blaze, apparently had went ahead and Alycia was at the airport retrieving Cameron's apparent "daughters". something she STILL couldnt wrap her mind around- being that she had been missing in action her self for several months, but apparently they had BEEN around for a while. Nicolas was in the elevator going to the lobby when Morgan appeared before him, beautiful and elegant, summoning him to join the rest of the team in her Escalade. He had planned to ride solo in his own black Maybach 62, but the chance to be of some help/support to the team was too much to pass on. He tapped his bluetooth and instructed the driver to proceed to the service without him and wait for instructions.
As he began to exit into the elobby, Nicolas decided to change into a black tie. It appeared immediately in his pocket and he whipped up the change, depositing the other tie in his pocket before 'porting it back upstairs. He exited and nodded to his teammates, acknowledging them and grasping Dr. victoria's hands as he softly spoke to them, turning to face face Alison as he did so.
"I am sorry for your loss. If you need anything, I will do anything I can."
After he spoke to the team, he noticed a young lady sort of with the group. He did not recognize her, so he spoke to her calmly but with a questioning tone.
"Hello, my name is Nicolas King. And you are?"

She was a vision of elegance. Vivica scanned the scene and went over to Morgan and Alison. She didn't have much to say as she had always been the woman on the sidelines of the Six, her powers were passive, she was rarely any help to them. Still Cameron was her best friend on the entire Earth and she owed him her respect. She gently touched Morgan's arm as she stood beside her. -
"Good Morning.. well morning I guess.. for that matter.."
- She was nervous and her mind was racing like the super human computer she was. Vivica was sensing and calculating everyone's responses before they happened and she could sense that today was going to be a day nobody would soon forget. -

[ At Persephone's gesture of goodwill, Delilah smiled widely - this time easily and without reservation. As the door shut behind her, Morgan appeared before her instructing her to meet in the lobby.
She rode the elevator down engrossed in her own thoughts. Persephone was surely a hard woman - but she felt for the newcomer who was clearly feeling the same sort of emotions Delilah herself had felt a short time before, the feeling of being an outcast within the group. She made a mental note to be understanding and patient.
Reaching the lobby, Delilah took her place beside Morgan. She embraced Alison, not saying anything, knowing there was nothing she could say. When Nicolas appeared, she walked to him and quickly kissed his cheek in thanks for his thoughtfulness before again taking her place with Karen, Morgan and Alison. ]

Uncharacteristically, Haleigh had not been in her office this morning to check on her teammates. In fact, she hadn't touched the room since she'd come back from Limbo except to walk through it on the way to the library to retrieve the next ORIGNAL manuscript of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous notebooks. Haleigh had swiped the originals from the Vatican vault a couple years ago and replaced them with detailed duplicates because she wanted the real notebooks for her extensive collection. Haleigh had, by now, become fondly familiar with ALL of the matermind's works, including the so-called 'lost' ones. But each time she passed her desk to get the next successive notebook, she ignored her pc, which remained off. She had no idea what the others were doing, and for now, she liked it that way. She didn't want to do this.... this cause. It took Cameron away, and it had threatened to take everyone else too.
But Haleigh didnt like to think about it lately. She didn't like to think about any of it, and her library became her sanctuary. Today, however, she had to leave her sanctuary... she had to go out and face the world... and face Cameron's death. She finished buttoning up her own Black oxford shirt, making her and Zach the annoyingly cute like-dressed couple... but honesty... there was no color she was going to wear but black, and she asked the same of her husband-to-be. She picked up a rose on the way past the front desk, a gift from Nicolas. Hmm... thoughtful of him. Nicolas was slowly growing on her... he had his quirks, and could really rub her the wrong way... but he wasn't so bad. He was TRYING, that was a plus.... unlike Persephone, who seemed to be trying to make everyone hate her, and all the while Haleigh knew she was going to RUIN her sister's life. Considering the circumstances, it was understandable that Haleigh wasn't the most receptive to the otherworldly goddess.
Haleigh slowed when she looked up and noticed the group had convened in the lobby for last minute details. Blaze isn't among them, thankfully. She thought callously, as she approached them. She stopped by Nicolas, smelling her rose with a hint of a smile and tapping him gently on the chest with it.
"Nice touch, King."
She said softly, as she looked around at the forlorn faces. Erika was here, and so was Vivica, and Haleigh nodded softly to acknowledge them both but said nothing, as she waited for Morgan to say what she had in mind.

:: Watching Delilah leave, Persephone closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh. Placing her hand over her chest, she eased her breathing to prevent another fit of coughing to overtake her. She'd be damned if she were to meet with everyone and not be at her best. ::
:: Running her fingers throughout her hair, Persephone made her way out of her penthouse and into the elevator across the hall. Waiting patiently until the elevator came a a halt, Persephone stepped out seeing Morgan, Delilah, Alison, Nicolas, Dr. Victoria, and two other woman whom she had yet to meet. Stepping off the elevator, her healed shoes softly clicked on the marble floor, giving off a slight echo throughout the vast lobby. Feeling someone place their hand on her forearm, she stopped and turned to the woman who handed her three roses and a note. Flipping the small card open with her thumb, it was from Nicolas. Starting forward more slowly this time, she kept her eyes focused on the note before looking up and meeting with the group. ::
"Hello."
:: Nodding to the Morgan, Alison, and Karen, Persephone kept the roses clenched within her hand, not saying a word to the others. ::

She has the meanest walk in the history of the world. If we can get through this, we MUST talk, even if it is so I can just see her walk again. She is looking pretty damned tasty herself.
Nicolas blinked himself back to reality, undertsanding that now was STILL not the time to follow up on their flirtations. He noticed the hint of disapproval as Blaze's name was mentioned by Morgan. Despite theri friendship, Blaze's fiery attitude may have cut too deep in the last few days. Her friends seemed to still be distant from her, and he knew that she had already left due to their connection. As Morgan spoke of transportation, Nicolas spoke up.

Haleigh looked round at the group once more as Morgan offered for Haleigh to ride with them. She had that feeling in her chest cavity again, as if a hand was SQUEEZING her heart to death, and she knew that she couldn't ride along with these people to his funeral in that stuffy Escalade. No matter HOW spacious it really was, it would seem suffocating to Haleigh, who could hardly bear to stand HERE with them all, because the appearance of Vivica and Erika, as well as everyone else in nothing but black and a little white was a sight that settled on haleigh like a thick wool blanket in the middle of a heat wave. This was it... Cameron was really gone, and they were all gathering to go to his funeral service. Haleigh felt like she couldn't breathe, and she shook her head slowly. Zach could sense the stifling greif taking over her, and placed his hand on the small of her back as he answered Morgan for her.
Zach:"Morgan, you look wonderful, you all do. Cameron is no doubt honored, or at the very least, amused that we all shined up just for him. Hell, I even shaved." He paused after an attempt to lighten the mood or at least remind everyone that though Cameron is gone, he is still here in spirit. Getting back to business: "We have a car waiting out front for us, but thank you for the consideration."
Haleigh and Zach took their leave then, and he opened the door for her to get in the passenger side of a black Aston Martin DB9 before getting in the drivers side himself. Haleigh was silent, but he didn't press her... he knew she needed her silence.

:: Feeling Morgan grasp her hand, Persephone looked to the woman and gave her a soft smile. A sincere smile. Unlike the others of the six, Morgan and Alison fought with honor. Yes they lost themselves to grief, but she understood that grief. To loose someone you love dearly. To act on rage alone. It was something that was common amoung those in her timeline, therefore she could not fault them for that, nor was she angry at them. Karen also; whom she was extremely happy to know survived. ::
:: Morgan arranged for her to take Nicolas' car and soon pulled up behind the Escalade at the church. Stepping out of the car, she lifted her eyes up to the cloudy sky, sensing no upcoming storms or dreary weather approaching. If there was, she would sway it her way. ::
:: Meeting with the group, she walked along side of Karen who was being escorted with Nicolas. Delilah followed as well. Soon taking their seats, Persephone sat on the last chair on the third row, closest to the open aisle. Crossing her legs at the knee, she rested her hands on her lap and gazed around. She spotted a woman all in white; Blaze. Blinking her eyes away, she focused on the large picture of Cameron mounted at the front, near the podium. He was a very handsome man, she had to admit. "Just keep in mind, Haleigh... you don't have to go through this alone. They are feeling this loss too." Zach said softly as they pulled up behind the Escalade.
"Not like I feel it, Zachary.... not like this.... I can see it in their faces." Haleigh responds solemnly, staring out the window at the funeral set up. The gothic art and tone of the cemetary is stunning and the flowers are beautiful... but Haleigh is unable to fully appreciate it.
Zach parked the Aston Martin and got out, walking around to open her door and offering his hand to help her out of the sports car. "And I can see it in their HEARTS. Everyone who knew him is hurting... and Alison... though she refuses to cop to it.... is feeling EXACTLY as you are."
Haleigh took his hand and stepped out of the vehicle, eyeing him but taking his words to heart, as she glanced over at Alison in time to see her falter. Morgan escorted her and stopped to make sure she was okay before they continued to their seats. Zach walked with Haleigh, past Blaze and her guest in the back row. Haleigh looked directly at Blaze as she walked by. Who wears WHITE to a funeral? WAIT.... MALICE WORE WHITE to Sharon's funeral! Haleigh thought, giving a start and simultaneously taking on a dark, angry expression. Zach closed his fingers around her arm, speaking in her ear.
Zach: [whispering]"You don't want to make a scene here, dear. Just let it go for now."
Haleigh took a deep breath and stalked past Blaze, up to take a seat on the other side of Alison. She took Alison's free hand in her own but didn't say anything. Didn't ask her if she was alright [obviously she wasn't], didn't patronize her to let her emotions show [pointless waste of breath], and didn't offer how she felt [it wasn't as if the shape SHE was in was some big secret anyway.]

As more people flooded the old church, Blaze sat patiently in her seat next to Vivica. She seemed a little more calmer than before. She found the courage to look up at the casket, and other photographs of Cameron.
Blaze frowned overhearing an older couple next to her. "I feel bad for his beloved daughters." Blaze's jaw nearly dropped. Since when was Cameron King a father. Vivica turned and closed the woman's mouth, "Is that so hard to believe Blaze?" Blaze nodded, "yeah, I never pictured him father material."
She wondered if the two daughters had powers like their father or not. She decided to push it behind her thoughts. Resting one arm behind Vivica she noticed the lightness from outside pour in as the doors were opened.
The mutant could feel the strong empathy of emotions strutting in without identifying them. She could detect each of them especially the dirty and disapproving look cast by Haleigh and Morgan. But, Blaze didn't give either the satisfaction of any look. Her green eyes focused in front of her for the benefit of Cameron. She wasn't here to provoke, argue, or fight. She wanted to pay her respects to a fallen comrade and friend.
Blaze had a unique flair about her that was provocative to say the least. But wearing white to a funeral was the least of the team's worries. It wasn't exactly like it was white to a wedding. She chose the color to celebrate the life of Cameron, a force of light. Her eyes following the entourage to their seating. They quickly drifted to Cameron's daughters, making Blaze compare their Dad's features. They've got his features too, what an awful tragedy. She thought to herself.
Opening her purse she grabbed a pack of cinnamon gum. Popping a piece into her mouth she looked around at the other guests absentmindedly awaiting for the services to begin. Standing up Blaze walked towards the front. Her pumps clicking softly on the floor before the service was conducted while others arrived.
Her eyes brightening as the light from the stained glass shimmered across them. Walking up to the casket Blaze placed two single long stemmed roses on them, one white and the other red. Bowing her head, Blaze spun around her eyes locking with the team. Perking a curious brow before she headed back to her row. Vivica also followed Blaze who placed two red roses upon his casket. She moved with Blaze, a nice contrast of black and white between their wardrobe. The two finding their seats once more.

< Erika decided to ignore the others as they made their way to the Funeral Procession. She would need all the strength she had to get the words out. She had re written the eulogy a million times and it still just didn't fit. She knew it was fine. She knew her Brother would love it. It was just so hard to see that they were gone. She even passed up Sydney and Sarah without realizing at first who they were. She made her way to the front of the cemetery procession. Looking to her side was the coffin of her brother that had been adorned with flowers, candles and a picture of him looking ever so suave in a business suit and a smirk on his face; in true Cameron King. She put her mouth to the microphone and began with a waiver in her voice. >
"Hello, family and friends.. if you will all take your seats.. it is time to begin..."
< Soft music began to fill the air as Erika pulled out the piece of paper from her pocket that she had been ignoring all this morning. He was really gone. Cameron was gone and now she was the one directing his funeral. It was surreal. She had to be strong. She had to get through this for him. >
"How does one pay tribute to a very good friend and brother in just a few moments of time with a small number of words on paper and in thought? A question I wrestled with for days. I decided to extrol the brother, the father, the man, and the friend. The brother who chose a path less traveled and least approved. A path, right or wrong, that helped shaped the very fiber of who Cameron grew to be. He was the brother that made me laugh. He was the one I knew I could go to when I felt down and he would make me feel happy again. He was a father that made mistakes, who learned from them and tried with all his power not to repeat them. He was a father who wanted nothing but the best for his two baby girls and did whatever he could to ensure their health, well being and safety. He was a man whose determination and straight forwardness was so clear at first glance that you had to get closer to see if it was genuine. You soon learned that it was frighteningly genuine."
< She choked back tears as she continued. >
"A man who made thousands of thankless difficult decisions in business at the risk of losing face in front of friends and co-workers. He did everything he could do to make the business as successful as possible without seeking praise or accolade which of course came naturally. He was a man who made choice in life that came with a hefty price tag. These choices, right or wrong, he would have to live with for the rest of his time. Along with the way he lost the faith of friends and family, many of whom returned to the man Cameron was and not what Cameron had become. He lived life how we wanted to live it. Whatever he set out to do, he did. Cameron said what he meant and meant what he said. The friend. Like most friendships, ours grew stronger over time. A period of time in which both of us were growing and learning what it means to be a human on this planet. Cameron was my brother. We shared an alleigance with many common goals, some of which were to be positive and to be true to yourself. He was better at them than I will ever be. Cameron was many things to many people over the short time he was with us."
< She stopped for a moment before she pulled out a letter she had kept close to her heart since Cameron's death. A Letter that nobody had heard of, until right now. >
"Upon Cameron's death, a letter was found, a letter saying all the things that he could not or refused to say to the people he loved, proof he knew what was coming. I won't read the entire letter as Cameron had a way of running on and on without any particular point, but I will read his last words to some of you here.."
To Alison, my loving and noble sister, I know that deep in your heart there lies a place for me and that is where I am now, soaking up the warmth of your love. This is not easy for you I know but you are the only person on this God foresaken earth that pushed me to the limit everyday. Know that you are not the cold hearted spinster that others believe you to be. You are beautiful, you are cherised and you are loved by me. You are the Guardian.
To Haleigh, the one person I couldn't say those three words to. I love you. I owe you that. Ours was a relationship built on words we couldn't say. It must have been the spy in both of us. I guess along the way I got caught up in the web of the Black Widow and couldn't get out. But I soon saw that deadly spider turn into a glorious phoenix, ressurecting herself into something even more precious and deserving. Know that I love you, I really believe we are soulmates and knowing you, you will find a way back to my arms. Know that whatever body you inhabit, you are not made of steel, but warm flesh, spirit and heart. I cant wait to be with you again.
To Morgan, what can I say about you. With every movement, breath and action you captivated me. I always felt I understood you more than the others. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. You have been to the edge and back just like me and it has made you more selfless and beautiful than ever. The one thing I want to leave to you is hope. Hope that you lead them where others couldn't, hope that you take care of my sisters better than I can now. Hope that one day you will find whatever you feel is missing from you, and that you will be complete. You are absolutely spellbinding and are a person that will stay with me throughout all time and space.
To Alexis you were a confidant. I found that you were always on the same page as me. I felt that with you I could be myself and that despite my past you too had a past you were not proud of. I felt we were comrades. I had your back and you had mine. Our relationship was complicated to say the least but I am glad that through it all we found an undying friendship. I want you to know that whatever you do in life, that you still have that friend, and that I am here for you. Let me be your strength when you find yourself waivering. Let my love be the shockwave that sets you on the path of your destiny.
To Blaze, I guess we are in the same place now. What it is like up there? Are they all up there too? Are you finally happy? Have your flames of emotion been replaced with serenity and divinity. Have you found your purpose? Have you forgiven? Your sister Jasmine is interesting to say the least. Are you watching over us? Will you greet me when I get to the gates? I cant wait to sit around your table and play cards and talk about music again. I can't wait to just literally lay eyes on you. I miss you friend.
and Finally, to my daughters, Sydney and Sarah, please know that none of this is your fault at all. I love you with every fiber of my being and know that my love lives on in both you. You are the ones to carry on my legacy, you are the ones that will complete what I could not. I have so much faith in you to be better than what I was. Sydney, your love of music will take you so far and even though you think you are cursed with bad luck, it will pass and you will march on as a leader in your industry. Soar like an eagle, honey. Sarah, my little fashionista, your prescence is overwhelming and your calm confidence will take you far. You are both my little angels and the best thing that ever happened to me. Listen to you aunties and your godparents, you are under their watch now, and we all know that with those women around you, you are protected. Be the goddesses you are nothing can touch you. Don't forget me, but don't live in my death, live in my life and shine your light on everything you touch. I love you so much it hurts, girls. Your father is always with you and if your mother was around I am sure she would be as proud of you as I am.
< Folding the letter and putting it away she looked over at the now very tearful audience as she just let go herself, completely crying and letting go, but keeping enough composure to finish what she had started. >
"A Father. A Brother. A Man and most importantly a Friend."
"Goodbye Cameron Michael King and Thank You."

From the moment Erika started the eulogy, Haleigh began blinking back tears. It was a personal, touching speech and Haleigh nodded along at various points, a fond smile on her face as she remembered Cameron. The guilt of not being able to find him, with all her vast resources, and the grief of losing him after everything they'd been through weighed heavily on Haleigh... but she was willful and kept the tears at bay for as long as she could.... which was until Erika produced a letter, written by Cameron, adressing those he loved the most. Haleigh squeezed Alison's hand softly as his letter spoke to the seer. And when the letter turned to Haleigh.... her tears finally fell. Tears for the time that was stolen from them, tears for the monumental burden of carrying on without him... but most of all, tears for all the things she never said to him because they didn't have a moment to spare in the days leading up to his disappearance. As Erika finished speaking shakily, Haleigh rose from her seat. She strode up to Erika, wrapping her arms around her and giving her a hug, then wrapping her right arm around her shoulders and leading her down from the podium, whispering in her ear as they went.
"You did him right, Erika... he'd be honored."
It seemed like a river of tears falling down Haleigh's cheeks, her pride sacrificed by her love of a great friend.

:: Alison sits with Morgan on one side and Haleigh on the other. She continues to look ahead, her psi screen and her sun glasses do a good job of hiding her in more than one way and even as Haleigh takes one of her hands and gently squeezes it, All Alison can do is lightly return the squeeze with her own hand. she doesnt look over, she doesnt make a sound.::
:: Erika eulogizes Cameron, and the winds blow softly in the air around them. No violent winds, no earthquakes, no unusual occurences. just a solemn, heartfelt service.::
:: Alison remains stone faced as Haleigh goes and hugs Erika::
This is right up her alley. The bleeding heart was TAILOR MADE for this moment.
::Alison's marble hard heart echoed with bitterness. she was SO unimpressed by Erika. But she did receive the words from Cameron's letter. who knew that he could be so.....thoughtfull and perceptive? He had begun to grow as a man and as a member of the six shortly before his disappearence and it was...touching to see a glimpse into the thoughts and wishes he had in his heart. For all his agressive and harsh ways, he had shown more than once when the chips were down...he would be there for Alison as best he could. his final words in his letter...they touched Alison's heart...finding a way through the marble hard exterior and reaching into her CORE.::
:: as Erike finally finished, Alison made no move to get up, she simply sat, with her legs crossed at the knee and her arms wrapped around herself.::
:: A Priest came forth and said a final prayer as the coffin was now lowered into the burial plot. As Morgan put her arm around Alison, the Seer softly exhaled and spoke quietly::
Goodbye, Cameron.
::whispered softly, her voice was weak..and trembling::
I love you...baby brother.

<< Morgan sat beside Alison, and took in the gothic elegance of this centuries old, well known cemetary. a very fitting place to lay Cameron to rest. she nodded slowly as Erika eulogized her brother.>>
a touching speech indeed.
<< Morgan found herself flashing back to moments with Cameron, remembernig his voice, his infuriating arrogance. but she also remembered how far he had come since the Inferno. His budding relationship with Alison, his desire to succeed and willingness to reach out to both Alison AND Morgan. She remembered his bravery when attempting to defend a fallen Alison and herself against the Super Soldier. and she bowed her head and closed her eyes for a moment. >>
<< as Erika read Cameron's letter and the part about Morgan, the sorceress couldnt help but smile just a bit. she nodded slowly with approval>>
Beautiful
<< she saw that he wasnt so bad after all. that he DID have a conscience, that he did care about someone besides himself. he had loving kind words for each of his teammates...and it struck her when the letter spoke on ALEXIS, who was now dead and Blaze as if she were STILL dead and Jasmine was still here.>>
so much time has passed! so much has changed...Cameron disappeared right before i was pulled into the Seige Perilous...clearly he wrote this note BEFORE then. I .....I wish I could have been alive again...SOONER....maybe, we could have saved him....
<< with her eyes closed, she frowned tightly, a single tear fell down her wintery smooth cheek, as she felt the regret. despite her power and all that came with being the mistress of Limbo, she could not save Sharon Kelly and now...the reality was that she couldnt have saved Cameron King. She didnt even get the chance to TRY.>>
I'm so sorry........Rest in peace, Cameron King.
Ororo
08-29-2006, 09:20 PM
:: many meters away and across the expanse, a column of wind and dead leaves forms. a low, faint rumble of thunder rolls in the air as Ororo appears in the cemetary. the immortal weather goddess is standing beside the base of a large statue of two angels that reaches high up.::
:: she wears her white goddess dress with a black cloak that is closed around the white gown and her long, bone straight silver hair is concealed, her face partially enshrouded in shadow by the hood of the cloak.::
:: she watches the service silently and does not make herself readily known. only those with the most keen senses or eyesight would realize she was there...because she ALLOWED them to.::
:: the pain and sorrow in Alison's heart along with her DEEP SEATED disapproval of Erika rings out to Ororo as clear as the eldritch chimes. The goddess knows that Alison, Morgan and Alycia do not care for Erika. She also knows that the team has been under great strain. Out of concern, and to honor the memory of Cameron, Ororo appears, and watches from afar.::
:: Cameron came to Ororo in one of his darkest hours, a moment of extreme uncertainty. though he thought it was ONLY a "dream"...he had no idea just how REAL that moment was and how much of a turning point it was for the young man. She had found a renewed confidence in him, only to see him now lying dead in a coffin, a life extinguished far before its due time. It did bring sadness to the goddess, who knew all too well about loss and regret.::

:: Persephone listened in silence as Erika began her eulogy. It was obvious Cameron's sister was in a great deal of pain about the loss of her brother. She could relate after loosing her own "sister" and teammates. But oddly enough, Persephone now felt some closure since ALL the Dire Wraith's were destoryed. She hoped that some how the people involved in Cameron's life would find their closure as well. ::
:: Shifting her amethyst hued eyes to Haleigh and Alison who sat two rows ahead of her, she watched as the two took each other's hands. Watching as Haleigh stood and embraced Erika, Persephone glanced to the others that sat in the numerous chairs lined throughout the grass. ::
:: The shift in weather caught the goddess' attention, noting the soft rumbling of thunder afar. Narrowing her eyes, she caught a glimpse of a woman in a dark cloak, standing by two statues. The slightest hint of silver caught the wind, further proving it was who Persephone thought it was. Ororo had shown up...although she didn't doubt it in her mind. Ororo was a wonderful woman who cared deeply for all her 'children'. ::
:: As the wind around the service began to pick up slightly, Persephone's loose ebony locks blew across her face, shading her carmel skin from the chill in the air. Keeping her eyes focused on Ororo for a few moments longer, she soon lowered her eyes before turning her attention back to the front. ::

[ Delilah sat silently with Alycia and Cameron's daughters. She hadn't been as close to Alison's brother as the others, but she had experienced his bravery and committment to the team firsthand when they had gone up against the super soldier - he had risked his own life to save Morgan's. She felt his loss and the loss in her friends deeply.
She looked around as she waited for the service to begin. The beauty of the cemetery somehow didn't fit with its purpose. The day was grey but serene - a fitting surrounding for the goodbyes that needed to be said. Erika began the eulogy - beautifully done, especially in the face of so many criticizing eyes. It took strength to stand up there and talk about her brother, and Dleilah respected her for it. Erika was more like Alison than either of them would admit, she suspected.
She caught a flicker of movement out of the corner of her eye. Turning her head slightly, she saw Ororo standing mostly hidden a ways away from the service. She smiled slightly and nodded in acknowledgement of the goddess' presence. It felt good to have her near - though knowing that Ororo would choose to remain unseen. A reminder that Alison had the support of more than human hands could offer if she needed it.
She turned back to the ceremony as Erika retook her seat. Delilah reached a hand forward, giving Alison's shoulder a squeeze. She didn't know how to comfort her friend other than with her presence. She had experienced the premature deaths of both her parents, but this was something different, something unexpected. ]

Nicolas sat solemny as the eulogy was read. he made no motion, simply looking ahead at Erika as she peformed her duty to her brother. He had been here himself, not so long ago. And though he did not know this man, he could feel through the others how important he was to the team and to those who loved him. He thought of how he had almost lost Karen Victoria just a few days ago and he reached out to push away a lock of hair, just the reassuring gesture that reminded him that she was still here. Looking off in the distance, he silently prayed.
Lord, please allow us to be able to lean on each other in this time of bereavement. If there is anything that I must do to help any of the others...please...send me a sign.
As Nicolas looked away, heart heavy and feeling a bit distanced as he did not know Cameron and had no connection to him, he saw a glimpse of Ororo. It was very far away, but he knew it as surely as anything. He gazed upon her and got his sign. His destiny was here, with these people, at this time. His charge was to be a teammate, a friend, and to be a part of something far greater than himself. He gently took Karen's hand into his, and watched as the ceremony was completed.

<< sitting with Nicolas, Karen was prim and poised in her sophisticated black Escada suit w/ white accents. her hair pulled back in a sleek bun and she too was wearing round rimmed sunglasses as she remained silent and listened to Erika's eulogy.>>
<< she had never been especially close with Cameron and upon their first meeting she blamed HIM for her daughters descent into a murderous rampage that plunged the city into the Inferno. Following the conclusion of the Inferno, she saw glimpses of a deeper, more respectfull young man in Cameron and she realized that he had potential. He wasn't as amoral as she had intially thought.>>
<< she remembered the night when Alison and Haleigh had come to tell her that Morgan had died in battle with Master Mold. it had sliced her up and left her half dead with pain and anguish. Even a woman as put together and polished as Karen had her moments of weakness and so she knew that Alison, another woman who was KNOWN for her "marble" hard exterior was probably doing double time to hide the pain she was feeling. Alison clearly had contempt for Erika and her noticeable silence and withdrawn presentation was a bad sign. The doctor knew that when crossed or provoked, Alison would be vicious in her response and funerals were often the most likely situation to bring forth true feelings among family members.>>
<< She felt Nicolas' hand on her as and gently took it in her own, gently patting his hand with her other hand. She definately felt a maternal instinct when dealing this young man and she realized, that maybe Cameron could have benefited from a mother figure as well. Both she and Ororo had been so critical of him and although it was JUSTIFIED at the time... post Inferno, they had only JUST BEGUN to see more of what he COULD be, before he disappeared.>>
<< Her heart went out to Alison as she sat with Nicolas and as Erika finished her eulolgy, Karen was not aware just how much Morgan and Alycia despised Erika but she could sense a palpable feeling of disapproval among many in the seats and it was all directed at Erika.>>
<< looking down for a moment, she breathed deeply before looking up and feeling the wind shift, she turned to her left and off in the distance, a mysterious cloaked figure stood silently near a large marble statue. the long silver tresses that flowed from the hood of the cloak indicated that it must be Ororo. Karen smiled.>>
Now ALL of Alison's "family" is here.
I just wish we could have had the chance to see Cameron become the man that he was capable of being.
Alycia Barnett
08-29-2006, 11:31 PM
:: Alycia sat, in a crisp, tailored black gem toned donna Karan blazer and matching, rather HIGH hemlined skirt, sheer black stockings and black , square toed, stacked heeled four inch pumps. The sleek and svelt woman's raven black hair was down in a flawless wrap, resting just above her shoulders and blew slightly in the breeze. ::
:: Alycia had been a friend and powerfull ally to more than one member of the Six for quite some time. Though she was only human, she had stood her ground and MORE than earned respect and trust among the powerfull members of that team. Alycia and Cameron were never "close" but they DID have mutual respect. She was no nonsense and a true ball buster and Cameron had watched Alycia slice up Haleigh on at least TWO occasions. He couldnt deny the woman was vicious.::
:: when others might have whined and complained, Cameron met Alycia on the same page and didnt try to insult her intelligence and Alycia could see that Cameron knew how to "play the corporate game". Their ability maintain a fluent professional relationship might have been a source of tension between Alycia and Vivica Lennox and Alycia had OPENLY declared her dislike for Erika long ago.::
:: for the high powered lawyer and ex district attourney for the state of New York, seeing Erika was the LEAST appealing part of this who unfortunate occasion, but her professional duty as the executrix of Cameron's estate required her to look past that dislike for now. She had been charged with the responsibility to watch over and escort Sarah and Sydney King to the funeral service. She would also be reading Cameron's will later on at Illustra, which would bring a surprise for everyone present.::
:: as she looked among the crowed, she could see the solemn faces, and hear the grief in Erika's voice. it was such a sad occasion. Alycia knew what it was like to have to eulogize someone and accept the cold , hard reality that they were dead. She had done the same thing for Senator Sharon Kelly. While she had sympathy for Erika , her primary concern lay with Alison as well as Cameron's daughters. She didnt buy into Erika's "saint" persona, she remember how DISRESPECTFULL she had been to Sharon Kelly and herself back at that gala all those months ago. It was one of the last interactions they had had until now.::
:: Alycia, being the blunt, "to the point" woman that she was...couldnt help but wonder...with all the terrible things that had happened to The Six since Sharon's death..including Alison's own temporary death following the disaster with Malice & Blackout/Shockwave...WHY hadn't Erika been there to help? She always TALKED a good game but it seemed that she FAILED when it mattered most.::
:: the eulogy came to a close and Alycia bowed her head and rememberance of Cameron, she thought of him...remembernig various moments that she had interacted with him, his brash sense of humour, the successfull gala that had taken place at the Parthenon hotel...::
you were a very vibrant man. maybe not always doing or saying the right thing at the right time, but you had a fire in your eye and your soul. I can respect that and i will remember you for that. I will make sure that Alison can come through this the best way she can...you can COUNT on that.

Erika King
08-30-2006, 12:43 AM
< Erika wanted to collapse as she stepped down from the podium with Haleigh in her arms. She had done her part for the day but she couldnt help but notice the stare of ice coming from her older sister as she gave the eulogy. Just what she was upset about Erika didn't know but Erika didn't really care. This was so like her sister. Making some problem about her on the day of her brother's funeral. It was the reason the two never got along. They both felt one was better than the other and that they had to compete for the title of better sister. She sat down with Haleigh and whispered softly into her ear. >
"I am glad you finally got to hear the words from him.. even if they didn't come from his mouth, they came from his heart and that is all that matters.. now if only I could figure out what is going on with my sister..."
< Looking at her sister who showed no emotion whatsoever, a King family trait learned from generations of those who hid their emotions, she took a look back to watch the coffin of her brother lower deeper and deeper into the ground. Cameron was really gone. His soul, his body and everything. Could this really be real? Other members of the Six had fought back death before and why couldn't Cameron. It was all making her angry. Morgan, Blaze, Haleigh, they had all lived to tell the tale and yet here they are crying about the death of a friend that nobody in the room helped or even knew what was going on with him. They, including Erika, were pathetic. >
Ororo

::Ororo removed the hood of her cloak and greeted Morgan with a warm smile as she embraced her surrogate daughter.::
:: as Morgan asked if anything was wrong, Ororo nodded to the negative::
Ororo: No child, nothing...aside from the situation you all are facing now. I just felt that I should be here but of course, I cannot be seen by the mortals of this timeline, for there is already a "Storm" in this reality.
:: she looked over, watching those at Cameron's service a bit before turning to Morgan again.::
Alison is...doing a magnificent job...of HIDING behind her marble hard heart. It is her greatest defense, but it does not serve her well. I know that Erika and She do not get along, and that with Cameron's death now being a finality, there will be much pain and transition between them.
I came here today not only to pay my last respects to Cameron King, but to warn you.
Remember that everyone deserves a chance, and that includes Erika. She is doing the best that she can.
Alison will have to grieve, even SHE cannot avoid the process. Help her through it as best you can, but do not BULLY Erika in your attempts to protect Alison.
There are some changes coming for all of you now. You must not allow yourselves to be sidetracked by personal strife...you've seen what THAT can do.
This is a difficult time for all of you. Change is never easy but you must go through it. The strongest tree knows when to bend.....and when to remain steadfast...it is how they withstand the tests and trials of the elements. You all must learn to do the same thing and while you each have been getting better, you must CONTINUE to progress forward.
Vivica Lennox
08-30-2006, 12:53 AM
- Vivica Lennox was an absolute wreck the entire service. She was crying like a child throughout the entire thing and couldn't think as to why Cameron wouldn't leave a message of love to her. She was his best friend. She had stood behind him almost her entire life and now he didn't even think of saying goodbye to her? What was going on? Something was absolutely wrong with this situation. She found herself scanning the audience, able to detect whose emotions were probably real and whose weren't. She came along the visions of Sydney and Sarah King who seemed equally as upset as she was. Vivica's computer like brain sent her an alert. -
"What is this?"
- Sarah and Sydney seemed to be glitching inside of her mind, like the way a computer scrambles the screen. For whatever reason they couldn't really stay in focus whenever she tried to focus on them. She didn't have a virus and all her systems and functions seemed to be at their normal rates. The entire thing just seemed advertly odd. She went into the file she kept on Sarah and Sydney. Memories that she had spent with them, words they had spoken and things she had collected about their lives since she had met them. Everything played extremely clear but something seemed off. It was as if her files on the girls and on Cameron had been altered. Something was wrong with them, but it wasn't on Vivica's part. She was never wrong and neither was her mind. There was something not right about the death of Cameron King and Sarah and Sydney King. Something didn't add up and she was going to be the one to find about them. She decided it might be best for her to make an appearance to show that even though he didn't acknowledge her that she was indeed his best friend and companion. She went over to Delilah, Haleigh and Alison. -
"We Made it.. though I am sure if it something to be proud of. He's in a better place now I guess we can take solace in that.. though I don't know about you, but I don't get much comfort from it. Is there an open bar anywhere. Something tells me that I am going to need a LOT of alcohol to get through this day..."
- Vivica kept her attention but was all the while focusing on Sarah and Sydney. Her cyberpathic mind allowed her to do many things at once without faltering or doing one thing better than the other. She was watching Sarah and Sydney, talking to Haleigh and the others and downloading all the information she could about the Hope Cemetery in case she would need it again. A mind is a terrible thing to waste and Vivica never wasted anything. -

:: Sarah and Sydney King watched as their Aunt Erika delivered a very touching eulogy about their father, their eyes and face flushed with tears. They had really been separate from their family since his death and now were in the custody of Alycia Barnett a woman they had only heard their father complain about. They didn't exactly trust her, they didn't trust anybody for that matter. They knew about the Six and about their father and of everything and they weren't exactly sure who to blame for what happened to their father. They spoke softly to each other in their minds, a telepathic bond they shared since birth. ::
Sarah: Do you think they will let us know what is happening with us in the will today? That seems to be the only reason Alycia is here.
Sydney: Who gives a shit! I just want to get back home, try and get back to a normal life...
Sarah: We aren't even sure if we have a home anymore, Syd. We are almost eighteen and when that happens nobody is responsible for us. We don't have parents anymore! Don't you care about that? Don't you even miss Dad?
Sydney: Of course I do, Sarah. I am just tired of all this traveling and protecting and shielding. If we knew more about the Six then maybe we could have helped him.
Sarah: With what? Our good looks!?!? We don't even have powers you idiot! We should go see Aunt Alison she looks so.. empty.
Sydney: Yeah, she does look sad....
:: Both of the girls made their way up to their Aunt and decided to say a calm hello :
Sarah: Hello, auntie. It's good to see you again.. We've missed you...
Sydney: Yeah, hi...
:: Sarah was always the well spoken and intelligent one where as Sydney craved rebellion and danger and didn't exactly adhere to her aunt's normally strict house rules. She decided to make the best out of it for the sake of her father. ::

<< holding Ororo's hand, Morgan turned to look back as well, watching the service now from Ororo's vantage point.>>
<< she heard Ororo's warning..and it was direct. it grabbed Morgan's attention as her eyes widened a bit>>
Ororo...Alison is like the sister I never had! I have been there for her since LONG BEFORE Erika blew into her life right before.....before the INFERNO.
<< Morgan bowed her head in shame...remembering the fact that she had tried to kill Cameron more than once during the Inferno>>
I don't like her...i BARELY trust her! It's my INSTINCT to protect Alison from her! You know what kind of family dynamic they had....
------------------------
Ororo: but if we were to judge people by their family dynamic, then what would be said about YOU and Blaze? You must be FAIR and not so willing to dismiss, Morgan. I understand the way you feel about Alison. I feel that way about YOU, your mother feels that way about YOU and Alison...there are many strong bonds among the Six and they are being redefined now as Persephone and Nicolas find their place in the team's heart, but Cameron did not benefit from having many connections or bonds with members of the original team....he was ostracized by more than one member for a variety of reasons. Karen and Myself were not very fond of him in the beginning as well either. But if i have learned ANYTHING since my time on earth and in Limbo...it is that I cannot deny anyone their due chance to evolve and CHANGE. Cameron had just BEGUN to show how honorable he could be before Malice murdered him.
-------------------
<< Morgan spoke up when Ororo spoke on his murder>>
Morgan: Ororo? Alison and Erika...all of us are mourning his loss....is there NOT a way for us to bring him back? with all the witches present...the siege perilous....can we not do so something?
------------
:: Ororo nodded her had with disapproval::
Ororo: That is not possible, Morgan. As unfortunate as it is...necromancy spells are among the most dangerous and risky of magicks. only a fool or an arrogant person would risk igniting them without regard for the wide range of consequences. Cameron's soul has moved on. Let him be.
<< Morgan nodded her head and understood what Ororo meant.>>
Ororo: do not blame yourself Morgan. you were not here to even know, much less attempt to do anything about his situation. Even Alison could not find him with her powers as a Seer. Though you may possess power, you are not immune from fate and destiny. Everything happens for a reason...even within the realm of Limbo.
There will be time for you all to mourn, to come to terms and to understand. You will do it better if you go through this TOGETHER as a family, as a group. So do not let yourselves be needlessly divided. You've seen how disastrous that can be.
It will not be easy...but you will make it through... all of you will.
--------------------
<< Morgan had closed her eyes...feeling badly for Cameron's loss again and as Ororo offered her last words of encouragment, she VANISHED in a haunting column of wind. Morgan turned to say goodbye>>
Ororo?
<< But Ororo was already gone. Leaving Morgan to think about what she had just said. after staring at the spot where Ororo had stood for a moment, Morgan turned, slowly exhaling as she walked back toward the service, along the path. >>
Back with the others:
<< she made it back to where Alison and the others were sitting and noticed Vivica, who looked so grief stricken. Hearing her comment, Morgan's heart went out to the woman.>>
Vivica, would you like to stay as a guest at Illustra? You'll need to be at the reading of the will anyway. Alycia will be performing the reading later on today, and you dont have to be alone if you dont want to.
<< Morgan turned to see two young girls, twins from the sight of them, approaching Alison. Morgan DWARFED the two girls and as she looked down upon them, she narrowed her icy voilet eyes.>>
his DAUGHTERS. it's just so...unexpected! have i been gone THAT LONG?
<< she watched them as they greeted Alison>>

:: Alison felt Delilah's hand on her shoulder and looked behind her. Delilah couldnt see Alison's eyes because of the sunglasses, but the seer touched Delilah's hand with her own and squeezed it, her own silent way of thanking her for her support and for being there.::
:: her head was THROBBING. her mind was racing...so many things flashing through her mind. her brother, the moments they shared, the damage they had to cover come, the beginnings of a healthy relationship that never got the chance to bloom....it was forming a painfull vacuum in Alison as she felt like she had dropped the ball BIG TIME.::
:: as the coffin lowered all the way down, Alison realized that her dream hadnt come true at all. Morgan excused herself , and as others came by to greet and pay their respects, Alison nodded, remaining in her seat and occasionally shaking a hand or two.::
:: vivica came down and spoke, and Alison finally responded::
Vivica, Morgan is right. I think you should stay at Illustra, at least for a couple of days. You worked very hard with Cameron, and I ....
:: she stopped short of saying that she "SAW" that Vivica would be honored in Cameron's will for fear of revealing her status as a precog to the normal humans present.::
I would like it if you were present when Alycia reads the will.
:: Alison NOTICEABLY ignored Erika, and soon...two young girls, twins came up to greet her. Alison now knew who they were, based on her dream. These were Cameron's daughters. Alison was many things...but being an AUNT was not something she ever imagined, even in her wildest dreams.::
:: sitting there in her dress ( the stylish and sexy dress that it was), the seer felt VERY uncomfortable...as if a spotlight was now focused on her as these girls greeted her.::
:: in a soft, cold tone, her sunglasses hiding her cobalt blue eyes still::
Hello Sydney, Sarah.
:: she she breathed deeply as she looked at the twins from behind her sunglasses::
It's good that Alycia was able to bring you both here.
While you are here with us...we'll make sure that you're well taken care of.
:: the seer was at a loss, she was not a mother by any stretch of the imagination. the twins, being in front of her now...in this situation, it just added to the anxiety that she was valiantly struggling to conceal and keep in check.::

:: Standing from her chair, the service had finally ended. As everyone began to rally around Alison, including two blonde girls who supposedly were Cameron King's daughters, Persephone folded her arms across her chest and stood next to Nicolas. She was hardly the one to comfort anyone, especially considering Alison's personality, and her standoff-ish nature today. The woman wanted to be left alone, as many usually feel in this situation. ::
:: Lifting her eyes to the sky, she squinted once deciding some sun would do everyone some good. Clouds instantly parted as rays beamed down among the guests. Glancing to the side, she gave Nicolas a casual look, noting that he too felt a bit out of place. He and Persephone were the only two people here who didn't actually know, or even MEET Cameron. It was a little strange being at his funeral. ::
:: Shifting her weight from one leg to another, her black sling back, stiletto healed, peep toe shoes dug into the soft grass as she leaned over toward Nicolas. ::
"The roses were beautiful. Thank you."
:: Keeping her voice to a low whisper, she glanced back over to Nicolas before looking away once more to the group of ladies she stood near. ::

:: Alycia looked over at Delilah as the two sisters got up to go speak to Alison.::
:: she leaned over::
Funny, the things you find out at a funeral eh?
:: she knew Delilah would understand what she meant...as there had been the faintest buzz about these two girls since it became WIDELY known who they were. There would be time for Alycia to interact with with Alison later, and she knew that Alison knew she had business to attend to.::
:: she excused herself as she slipped past Delilah and walked back up the aisle to meet up with Persephone, Nicolas and Dr. Victoria::
well hello there.
:: she spoke with confidence as she eyed Nicolas and smiled at the Doctor, then nodding to Persephone.::
:: the cool breeze flowed again::
don't feel bad, in this instance, outside of being the courier for the twins, and the executrix of Cameron's estate...i'm about as on the outside as you are. I had no personal connection with Cameron, mainly a professional relationship and of course being an ally of the Six.
:: as they were near the back and Alycia was not one to hold back, she spoke bluntly::
It's truly unfortunate, what happened to Cameron. he's one of the founding members of this team and he meant something to very many people here today. Too bad the same can't be said for his saditty sister, Erika.
:: Alycia folded her arms as she shifted her weight on one of her alligator, stacked high heeled, squared toed pumps.::

Nicolas looked over to Persephone as she spoke. He smiled and spoke smoothly back to her.
"You deserved more than that, but what do you buy for a GODDESS at Cartier? Seriously, I wanted you to know that your selflessness was not unnoticed. I thank YOU."
Nicolas watched Alycia as she walked up to them, enticing in her short skirt but quite reserved, all told. He would have to speak with her about his behavior before. He spoke in frustration and it was unfair to one who had endured so much.
"Hello Alycia. You look great as usual."
He listened to her, amused by her bluntness even in this situation. He leaned forward a bit so as to be unheard by others outside of this small group.
"Why the bad blood with Erika, If I can ask?"
Alycia Barnett

:: Alycia adjusted her tailored, black gem toned donna karan blazer which complimented the matching short skirt, sheer nylons and genuine black aligator,4 inch stacked high heel, square toed pumps. She cought a look at Nicolas, not really having had time to appreciate just how handsome he was before, but seeing him now as he was obviously on better ground with the rest of the team, his personal style and his charm was more apparent to her.::
hmm yes, thank you. you're looking pretty good yourself there, Nicolas.
So you are the both of you! :: smiling at Persephone and Doctor Victoria::
:: she nodded.::
:: as Persephone, Nicolas and Karen gathered in close, Alycia folded her arms and shifted her weight on one of her heels as she tood very tall and sophisticated.::
well, Alison, Erika and Cameron are all sisters and brother. Alison is the oldest and the strongest. When the Six first came together, it was Alison who gathered the original members , outside of Morgan to rescue Foxfire from the clutches of Mystech. She rescued Cameron the night the Citadle went into meltdown, not yet knowing he was her brother. they fought bitterly and Alison even tried to murder him during the first caper.
When they finally discovered they were related, Alison finally realized why she hadn't recognized him. She had left her family when he was still a baby to travel the world and discover the secrets of magick and mystical arts on earth.
Later on, their mother, Kelly King, an evil witch, and the Black Queen of Mystech's inner circle came calling for revenge. Kelly King had been humiliated by Morgan in a magickal fire firght when Morgan and Foxfire were with the london based super hero team Valiant. Kelly King was the epitome of a hatefull mother and Alison had spent most of her young life fronting off her mother to protect Erika and Cameron. Unlike Erika and Alison...Cameron is not a witch..he's a mutant, a fact that caused his mother to abuse him.
When Alison left, Erika took Cameron and escaped. She placed a spell on Cameron so that he would not know who his sisters were. Cameron had a hard life as a young boy. he had to rely on his powers to survive and it made him hardened and cut throat..it was no wonder that he and Alison took an immediate dislike to each other but then ERIKA returned to warn Alison and Cameron that Kelly King was coming back from the exile Morgan had placed her in to kill them all.
Erika is practices white magick and is as opposed to Alison's lethal, vicious ways and her black magick as Alison is opposed to Erika. They came together long enough to destroy their mother and actually began to repair their relationship as siblings.
HOWEVER, Erika managed to piss off Morgan and myself and the late Senator Sharon Kelly when she disrespected us at a gala at the Parthenon several months ago. Her "high and mighty, saintly" attitude has rubbed nearly everyone the wrong way...and her last words to Sharon Kelly and myself were enough to make me want to hit her in her mouth.
I can tell you right now what Alison's problem is.
With Morgan having been "dead" for several months, and Alison having nearly lost her life staving off the deadly attacks of Malice and Blackout...where was Erika? she had ALWAYS said "she was watching over them and would be there" but when Cameron needed it the most and Alison couldnt be there...Erika WASNT EITHER and now here she is. and whether or not anyone else want's to admit it..that is EXACTLY what the problem is.
:: it was a shocking backstory but at least it explained why there was so much bad blood::
Vivica Lennox

- Vivica was honored at the thought of being invited to stay at Illustra for a spell while the rest of Cameron's estate was taken care of and of course she did not want to miss the whole, she was hoping he was smart enough to leave King Enterprises to her. There was too much going on for someone not to be named as the new CEO of the company, though she had a feeling, more of a knowledge that Cameron might leave the company to one of his daughters. He always loved those girls. She took a look back at them again and they seemed fine, no glitches, nothing. Maybe she was just emotionally drained and her brain was overloading. It had never happened before, but hey there is a first time for everything, she guessed. Analyzing the believability and ulterior motive scenarios in her head, Vivica deduced that the offer to stay at Illustra was genuine. She would accept for the time being. -
"I would love to stay there, Alison, Morgan. Thank you kindly.. There is still so much to take care of with King Enterprises and the Parthenon Hotel Merger. There is so much more work to do, though I took on the brunt of it when Cameron joined the Six, he was still a great help. He always seemed to know what to do. My brain only takes me so far..."
- Sometimes Vivica seemed oddly unemotional. It wasn't her fault so much as that most of the time her power controlled her. She was in essence, a walking super computer. She was a creature of deduction, downloading, defragment and analyzing. This was the first time in a long while that she had let go of that side of her and was experiencing emotion. Cameron was so much more than a friend to her, he was her life, her job, her duty. The others didn't know but she had told Cameron all about her assignment with Omega-4 a secret branch of the CIA and though he forgave her in the end, she still felt that part of their conversation was a reason that he dissappeared. A secret she would have to tell Morgan and Alison sooner rather than later. -
"Let's hope the rest of this day goes peaceful.. I can literally feel the distance between you two. I hope everything works out for the best..."
- She looked back at the twins yet again and the glitches were there again. Only this time she saw a flash of Cameron King himself. Like he appeared in one of the glitches. Watching the twins now was like watching scrambled television without cable with flickers of Cameron King. Something was wrong, a matter she would later discuss with Morgan and Alison, but for now, she would simply be there as a friend and confidant to whoever needed her. The chameleon, the ability to shift into the role that everyone needed. It was like her calling. -

:: Sarah and Sydney nodded their heads as they looked at each other up and down and pondered the thought of being left with Alison as their guardian. They wondered what that would be like. ::
Sarah: Man, she is really messed up. I never thought Dad and her were that close. I bet that is why we stayed in LA.
Sydney: Probably, and you know Dad just didn't want us to get hurt. He was doing good work and he didn't want us to get hurt. I don't think Alison was any part of that. You would leave he would name Erika as the Guardian. We were much closer to her. Remember the Summer we spent at her house this year while she was in Limbo?
Sarah: Yeah that was great! Her house was huge. I really don't know, Sis. I am a little scared. Maybe we should like runaway or something..
Sydney: Well Sarah! I didn't think you had it in you.. I think we should stick around for a little bit and see how we like it. Besides, these people look like they have more money than Dad!
:: The twins took a moment to look at the people around them. So many people came to see their father, and they had only met them a few times. They wondered if Cameron really liked all these people or if the even liked Cameron. There was a lot of publicity around this funeral and a lot of speculation on the girls themselves. The media knew he had daughters but they never saw them. Cameron made sure of that. They looked at Vivica and smiled. Sarah looked at Alison again ::
Sarah: "Thanks, Aunt Alison. I hope we're not imposing.. I know we never have been that close... Dad kept us in Los Angeles most of the time.. That's where we went to school and all. He talked alot about you.. When he first found out you were related.. He was so happy.. I have never seen him like that...I just.. I just want to say that I can't wait to get to know you..."
:: Sydney somewhat rolled her eyes and laughed ::
Sydney: She doesn't mean to sound like a Hallmark Card, she is just nervous, she gets sentimental you know. But thanks for having us at Illustra. I can't wait to hit up the shopping complex with maybe I don't know.. My FAVORITE supermodel of all time, Morgan Victoria? I have always been a fan. You looked so good in the high fashion stuff. The early 90's was my favorite stuff. The shoulders the clean lines, I have always been a fan of Illustra.
:: Sydney somewhat blushed as she looked at Morgan and then back at Alison. She could tell she definitely took after Alison, there was something about her that made her stop and think and she wasn't sure if she liked it. ::

Way back hidden behind vast amounts of people sat Blaze Fielding. Her emerald eyes shielded behind a pair of black sunglasses, masking how she truly felt. She sat patiently awaiting for the outside venue to begin. Her observant eyes taking in the various sites of the cemetery. Everything looked so elegant, which she linked to King Enterprises and Illustra, Inc.
Her eyes falling on Erika King. Blaze hadn't seen the witch in a long time, not since Witchfire. Although as she stared at the woman she felt her sorrow, pain, and misery. Erika began with a powerfully moving introduction. Blaze felt the raw struggle for Erika through this difficult time, she had to give the woman credit. She recalled what it was like to lose Morgan and how that literally pushed her over the band wagon. But, for Erika to deliver such a moving and heartfelt speech took credit. Unlike the others of the group, Blaze fully respected Erika and what she stood for. Her eyes moving to fall on the back of Alison and Haleigh, who were several rows in front of her.
Happy birds chirping and singing in the background. Too bad the beautiful creatures weren't singing for joyce on this occasion but more so a sullen lullaby. Vivica also remained nearby Blaze's side listening to the speech. As the mention of each of their names, Blaze's eyes sparkled with tears. Blinking them back and clearing her throat from the lump that lay nestled. She never got to see Cameron after she was brought back from the Heavens. Prophet only barely knew Jasmine, which humored with the "interesting" comment. Jasmine Klein was a downright annoying bitch but in the end she came through for her team and her family.
"Babe? Can I get a tissue my contacts are acting up." Vivica turned to her partner with an amused laugh handing her a tissue, whispering into her ear. "Too bad you don't wear contacts Blaze." Wiping at her eyes at the moving speech, Blaze gave a lopsided smile. Opps, her secret was uncovered.
As Erika finished up, Blaze felt her own heart heavy and shaky. Brushing a few chocolate locks from her eyes she was thankful to be wearing the sunglasses again. Her eyes distinctly observed Haleigh greet Erika with a hug. Looking away, Blaze awaited for the priest to give a final farewell. Erika had obviously set the mood full of light and passion for her brother Cameron King. The priest delivered the conclusion of the mornings services. Blinking her blurry vision Blaze looked up at the pale sky.
Maybe it is I who yearns to see you again. I think you'll like it up there Cam, lots of beautiful heavenly women. But somehow I know your heart only yearns for one and she happens to be present at this funeral. I know wherever you are you can hear me....you know I hate good - byes. As much as a stubborn ass as you were I really did respect for you. I only wish I could have told you that. I can't explain it but I feel as though the other half of my heart is missing. I can only imagine what Haleigh, Erika, and Alison feel. I love you stud muffin, I'm sure we'll have that discussion about music.
She thought sadly, rising from her chair. Her heighten senses alerting to the appearance of Ororo. Her essential oils enough to pinpoint her exact location without having to look for her. Blaze felt a bit of hope with the Goddess here but only slightly. Blaze wasn't sure what to do now so she walked away from the funeral session of the cemetery to have a smoke.
Reaching into her purse she pulled out a cigarette just as Vivica snatched it from her lover's grasp. "Oh no you didn't Blaze Fielding! Smoking is gross and its bad for your health." Scolded Viv who broke the cigarette in half with her fingertips. Blaze shook her head, "your about as stubborn as my friends." Blaze stared over to Cameron's daughters. She wondered who the mother of his children were. Wouldn't that be so soap operish if ALEXIS was? The mutant highly doubted that though. She felt a fire within Sydney though a sort of rebellion the same way she was. Girl's got fire behind her...I can feel it. Not meaning a power per say but that of a passionate nature. Sarah seemed more down to earth and solid compared to her sister.
Everyone else interacted as Morgan cast a disapproving look to her sister. It was to be expected but Blaze didn't care. She didn't dress to satisfy anyone but herself. Vivica turned to Blaze, "I'll be right back." She disappeared to the crowd to mingle with people leaving Blaze alone.
Walking over to Haleigh and Erika she moved silently in her all white suit. "Powerful speech...Cameron would be grinning from ear to ear." Blaze locked eyes with Erika. "I would say I'm sorry but I know you've heard that a hundred times today. So I give you kudos for having the balls to go up there and deliver such a speech." It was the first time Blaze had interacted with Erika in a long time, not since her death. "Hey Hales..." She said firmly making sure Haleigh heard here. The mutant had her number down or make that memorized. "I think its an honorable thing you did today." Addressing Erika before looking back at Haleigh. "I'd ask how your doing but I can already feel it...despite our differences and my actions as of lately I AM sorry Haleigh." Blaze's tone sincere and precise.

< Erika embraced Blaze in a deep hug. It was good to actually see her again. She had been dead the last time Erika laid eyes on her. She patted her back and said her salutations to the firestarter. >
"Thank You Blaze the words are kind and yes I have heard I am sorry so many times. It is good to just honor my brother. I know he would love to be here, to see all the people that came to his funeral. That is just so like him. He is probably watching up in the sky and just laughing or making fun of the other people's outfits..."
< She stopped herself and almost started to cry but held back the tears as she looked back upon Haleigh and Blaze with watery eyes. >
"I just miss her so much.. It hursts, but I will get through it. I want to make this a day about love. A day of just remembering Cameron for who he is.."

Warmly embracing Erika in a tender hug, Blaze could sense a bit of Cameron in his sister. Pulling back she reached out for Erika's hand, "I know...trust me I lost Morgan and she lost me on several occasions. Its OKAY to break down or lose it. The important thing is to know you have friends all around you." She motioned with her right hand around to those present.
"Cameron may not be here in spirit but he'll ALWAYS be here." She pointed to Erika's heart. "Cam was close to you and for obvious reasons. But, cherish his memory, take the time to grief, and celebrate him as a person. I can't register he's gone...I guess I'm far too stubborn to believe it.."
Shaking out of her reverie Blaze nodded to Sarah and Sydney. "If I may be so bold, who is the mother of those two beautiful women? I never heard Cameron mention it...I feel so out of the loop." She said honestly.

I just hope that she doesn't piss Alycia off. Goddess knows those two have NEVER gotten along easily.
<< she watched as the two young girls came to see their "aunt" Alison. she still couldnt believe this latest development. maybe she HAD been out of the loop far longer than she thought! after all, she learned that not only had Sharon Kelly died, but so too did Alexis after betraying the team and nearly destroying the city and east coast-- that electrified trainwreck, AND NOW, Prophet was dead too...so many changes...and NONE of them were really pleasant. but at least Foxfire was here, and they had gained powerfull new members in the form of Persephone and Rampage.>>
<< Morgan ran her hand through her glossed, slicked back blonde hair as she shook her head thinking about all the "changes" and pushing them back before they distracted her from her task at hand...helping Alison through. She watched the twins addressing their aunt, not really sure what to think of them, but knowing that since they were still young girls AND direct descendants of Cameron...they would probably be tempestuous to say the least.>>
Pretty little girls. Let's hope i dont have to KICK THEIR PRETTY LITTLE ASSES while they stay in Illustra.
<< Morgan's icy voilet eyes remained fixed on the girls as they spoke to Alison. Clearly Sarah was the more polished, personable one, while Sydney was the more daring, bold one. Upon hearing Sydney's compliment, Morgan nodded as she looked down at the young girl.>>
<< in an icy voice>>
why thank you...Sydney.
What does she mean by "the stuff in the 90's"? -I hope she's not trying to suggest i'm OLD!
<< indeed, since her return from the seige perilous, Morgan had DE-AGED and the change was noticeable.>>
If you like high fashion, you will be in the EPICENTER of it when you come to stay at Illustra. I can arrange for you both to enjoy a full make over, spa treatment and no expenses barred shopping spree. After all, every young girl should be able to exprience the chance to express herself through fashion and maximize her beauty.
<< as Erika spoke to Haleigh and Blaze, Morgan turned and looked>>
this woman acts like she she just came down off the cross. if she is so broken up..where the hell was SHE when Alison nearly died saving the city? where was she when we could have used HELP against Malice and the Dire Wraiths? she claimed to always be there for her brother...so why couldnt have helped Alison FIND HIM when it became appearent that he was in trouble!?

:: Alison took Sarah's hand and held it gently. This was the one with "sense and sensibility", she had grace and was wiser than her years YET she wasnt annoying sacchrine like her aunt Erika.::
yes, we'll make sure that you're time here is as pleasant as it can be. do not worry, you will be taken care of.
:: she looked at Sydney, the girl couldnt see HER eyes through the sun glasses, but Alison narrowed those eyes as she looked at this one. She would be the one to "push the envelope", she could "see" it all around her and Alison was not in the mood to have a child trying to match wits with her. BUT even as Alison could look ahead, she pulled herself back and realized that right now, these girls would need all the buffering and support they could get right now. Their father had had a HELLISH life as a boy, and despite the problems he and Alison had, she couldnt see herself just letting these girls go through anything similar.::
:: and what about Erika? she who now acts as though she just gave birth to quadruplets after having eulogized Cameron? Where was she when she could have made a DIFFERENCE? no doubt Erika would hide behind the excuse of "training with Ororo" as the reason why she was just NOW appearing before everyone after all that had happened. While the matters of Cameron's estate were being executed by Alycia, Alison would not tolerate her excuses, she would not tolerate her "high and mighty ways" and WOE until Erika if she crossed Alison in anyway during this difficult time.::
:: Alison gritted her teeth at the sound of Erika's voice as she addressed Haleigh and Blaze. Alison was still irritated with Blaze for a myriad of other reasons and now there she stood, wearing WHITE to her brother's funeral!? just WHO did she think she was? Alison couldnt take this right now.::
:: she stands up abruptly as she fixes her glare on Erika. She wanted to TK the woman head first into a headstone clear across the cemetary::
EXCUSE ME.
:: barging past Erika and Blaze, the seer was clearly agitated and didnt want to be near the two of them.
:: walking away with a serious stride, her black donna karan dress flattered her tall, toned , feminine figure and as she distanced herself from the small group, she went and stood by the burial plot where her bother had just been laid to rest.::
:: speaking softly, out of ranage of everyone else.::
so much has happened...and very little of it good. after everything you went through...the sickening irony that you once again fell through the cracks and into the hands of Malice....it is something that will haunt me forever...baby brother.
after all you'd gone through..and how hard you worked to turn your life around...your time with the six....we lost you shortly before we lost Morgan and Alexis. We got Morgan back...but none of our powers could allow us to get YOU back...not before it was....
too late.
:: she bows her head, as the wind blows through her blue/black hair::
I am....so sorry Cameron.
:: shutting her eyes..her sorrow grew, as did her hatred for everything that Erika was. But she pulled herself back.::
Malice is gone....and she'll never hurt anyone else ever again.
and though you may be gone....you'll never be forgotten. you did something that few could...you found a place within...
:: spoken very quietly::
my heart.
:: she extends her right index figner. a soft rushing chime sound is heard as three red roses fly from a funeral spray and land down on top of the coffin in the burial plot.::
:: Alison would be ready to leave soon. the sooner she got back to Illustra, the sooner they could get down to business and she could send Erika on her way.::

Sarah: Thank You Miss Victoria. That is very generous of you..
:: Sarah and Sydney looked at each other as their Aunt Alison barged past Erika and Blaze and sat alone near the tombstone of their father. They exchanged looks and pondered on who should go over to her and say something. ::
Sarah: Sydney, you should go say something.. She seems really upset.. and you two seem alot alike.
Sydney: Oh God, Sarah! Are you trying to say I seem frigid and uptight? I will go say something only because.. Dad would have wanted us too..[/i]
:: Sydney sighed and cringed as she went over to Alison to try and say anything. She figured this was the best move as she didn't want a fist fight to errupt during her father's funeral. She walked over and looked at the headstone. It became very real then. She decided to try and say anything that would make her feel better. ::
"It's strange.. isn't it? I mean, does it feel real at all? It's crazy, it's like the other day he was doing something completely self absorbed and loving every minute of it and then he was gone. I mean he is my Dad. I love the guy, but he was so infuriating sometimes.. I wanted to knock his block off at times. I know it sounds disrespectful but there is nothing I hate more than people who try and act all sad at funerals.. like they care more than they do..I know I should be sad.. I am sad.. but, I don't want to dwell on that..."
:: She put her hand on Alison shoulder as she tried to continue to console her ::
"You guys are in a dangerous line of work. You save the world everyday. It can't come as THAT big of shock that some of you might die. It's reality, maybe it's deeper than that, but I mean you are in the line of work of saving lives and sometimes that means sacrifiicing your own.. You know.. it's nobody's fault. For whatever reason, we always blame ourselves... I know the LAST thing you want is some kid giving you advice, but hey, you aren't above it. Don't go that route with Erika. Just don't. It's not going to solve anything, you are just going to drift apart. I do that sometimes.. Sarah says I just can't control myself sometimes, that I just explode without warning. It's never good..."

As Erika and herself discussed various matters Blaze could feel the animosity dripping off Alison, who came barreling past them like a brutal - raging storm. Stepping back quickly, Blaze raised her sunglasses upon her forehead to watch Guardian move away. She pondered about confronting her but thought it best to leave the woman be. It wouldn't solve any problems just make matters worse.
"Fiery gal." She said coolly, directing her attention to Alison. "She hides behind that marble heart but I know better. Although its her way of dealing with something...her way of dealing with pain."
She said softly, looking back at Erika. "How was your training? I heard you were developing your skills with Ororo? She's a wise and honorable warrior, but you do look refreshed."
Her eyes moving back to Haleigh, "Maybe you should talk to Alison? I would but...well obviously I'm not her favorite person plus she's disapproving with me. She'll respect your judgment and understanding." Blaze was only trying to look out for Alison in her own way plus Haleigh needed time with someone who understood.
"I'll have to set up a beneficial party for Cameron at XS when the time is appropriate." She said slowly, mindful of the time. Sydney out of the blue ventured over to Alison, which surprised Fox.
"That one is so full of fire and passion....she reminds me of me as a teenager. I did not anticipate her to comfort Alison, but they share an uncanny strength...as least what I sense."

Nicolas listened to Alycia's comment with slightly widening eyes. This girl was as tough as she was pretty, and she had quite a bit of both, he decided.
"So, now we're supposed to take this happy little group back to Illustra? How long before this blows up in our faces? Will we even make the reading of the will?"
Smiling grimly , he leaned forward and reached into his jacket pocket, pulled out a fresh rose (the florist would find one missing and an extra hundred dollar bill later), and gave it to Alycia. He leaned forward to speak so that only she coud hear. He figured now was as good a time as any.
"I regret that we got off on the wrong foot twice. I was too busy worrying about myself to see the big picture, and that was unfair to you. I hope you can accept my apology. By the way, if you had worn THIS outfit when I first saw you, I would have spoken A LOT less and we could have avoided the mess altogether."
Nicolas chuckled as he leaned back from her, hoping that they could build upon today's interactions. He realized that what they were doing was far too dangerous and life far too short to have unnecessary strife and confusion, so he decided that he would make an extra effort to connect with ALL of the Six and their allies, if he possibly could.

:: Alison didnt look back as she felt a hand reaching up to touch her shoulder. she knew it was Sydney::
maybe wearing a thin strapped dress wasnt the best idea.
:: she thought coldly::
:: this young woman certainly had a pair, addressing Alison as she did, to make it sound as though it were par for the course to watch the body count of the six go higher every couple of months.::
Sydney, you cannot understand MY position. I raised your father and Erika as best i could...protecting them from...
:: she stopped short- she was not about to go through the whole story with this child.. as Sydney continues on. the child suggests that Alison shouldnt have been surprise by Cameron's death? does she know what happened and why? was she really about to have this discussion with a child? OF COURSE NOT!::
:: she turned, as her sunglass hidden cobalt blue eyes fixed on Sydney, standing taller than the girl, Alison places her hands on her hips::
That will be quite enough of THAT!
:: she bellows as she ends the conversation with the arrogant child.::
Morgan, kindly advise everyone that the services are OVER.
:: Alison leaves the area and heads back to the escalade, desperately trying to keep her temper in check.::

there's no telling. Alison doesnt tolerate much and she wont hesitate to shred Erika. WOE unto anyone who tries to stop her when she's pissed.
:: Alycia knew that NIcolas had seen Guardian unleashed, so he would understand.::
My job is to execute Cameron's will and of course, be there for Alison as best as i can both professionally and personally. The fact that Erika and Vivica are here....well, i suppose that can't be helped.
:: Alycia's tone was rather catty with that last remark, unknown to Nicolas, Vivica Lennox and Alycia Barnett didnt exactly get along EITHER. He was in the center of a MAJOR catfight waiting to happen all around.::
::she smirked as Nicolas handed her the fresh rose::
do you always carry a rose with you for "on demand occasions?"
:: Alycia lifted her eyebrow as she looked Nicolas up and down. standing at 5'11" without heels, Alycia was tall but Nicolas was still much taller than her and as he leaned in to whisper a sincer apology, Alycia could see the change in the man. She had noticed that he was on much stronger ground with the rest of the Six and it was a refreshing change.::
well thank you indeed. apology accepted. i see that you've begun to fit in to the six rather nicely. Now as FINE and charming as you are though ,i think if you do too much more flirting, Morgan will turn me into a tree and YOU into a toad. :: laughing a bit::
We all know that you two are digging each other.
:: she winked as she playfully chastised Nicolas::
:: she realized that Sharon Kelly's grave was in this cemetary as well..that Nicolas hadnt seen it yet, and that perhaps while others were mingling that she could take this opportunity to show him to the grave of the woman that meant so much to his father. ::
You know, Sharon Kelly's grave is in this cemetary, Nicolas. I think maybe you should see it...it will bring you a step closer to the woman that meant so much to your father......I....
:: before Alycia could finish, Alison snapped, LOUDLY and shut down the funeral, seeing Sydney standing near the spot where Alison quickly left...and looking over to where Morgan, Vivica, Erika, Haleigh and Blaze where, Alycia continued to stand among Persephone, Karen and Nicolas.::
I think THAT right there is the bell for round one.
:: Alycia made her way past the group and met up with Delilah::
I hope for THEIR SAKE ::noding to Erika and the twins:: that they do not piss Alison off. Today ...this whole situation is just the WRONG time.

Nicolas chuckled but noted the truth in her statements about Morgan. He was also a bit thrilled that people seemed to notice their vibe. When she told him of Senator Kelly's gravesite being here, he immediately went towards it with her so he could pay his respects when he was frozen by Alison's voice, declaring that the funeral was over. Alycia's final comment was a spot on assessment of the situation.
"Okay... We will be back so you can show me her grave, and soon, OK? But right now, it's showtime."
Nicolas planted a suggestion to the general funeral-goers that the funeral was in fact over and the family probably needed their space right now to grieve. As they began to depart en masse, he nodded to the ladies in the group he had been talking to and walked over to Morgan.
"The guests are handled. If you wish to separate this group and delay further incidents, maybe you and Alison should take the Maybach back. We can all pile in the Escalade if you want. It is entirely up to you. Whatever you think is best for Alison."
Nicolas stood, nodding to guests as they left and waiting to see what Morgan wanted to do about what seemed to be a tempest brewing.

<< Morgan stood back as Alison pulled away from the group. She KNEW that the seer's anger with Erika was rising and she hoped that they could at least get back to Illustra before the shit hit the fan. She saw Alison take a personal moment by Cameron's grave and soon, Sydney went to join her.>>
not a smart move, kiddo.
<< Morgan shifted her glare to Erika and Blaze, who couldnt stop running her mouth about "who the mother was?">>
<< stepping forward and speaking with an icy voice, Morgan dwarfed the two women as she looked at them>>
Blaze, this isnt the Maury Povich show. Leave it alone till later okay?
<< she turned and looked around, some of the guests had paid their final respects and left. Ororo was gone as well but she was greatfull to have had the chance to address her honored mother. Alycia, Karen, Nicolas and Persephone were talking a few paces away and Delilah had been addressing Vivica.>>
<< things seemed to be maintained, for the moment, but that was OVER when she heard Alison bellow and quickly turned. The Seer abruptly cut off Sydney from whatever she was saying and shut down the funeral. She demanded that Morgan dismiss any last minute guests and hearing the strain in Alison's voice, she knew it was time for the CORE and their allies to return to Illustra to privately sort out the rest of the affairs for today.>>
<< stepping to the center of the aisle between the rows of chairs as the wind blew, Morgan spoke loudly and clearly>>
Ladies and gentlemen, we thank you for your presence today to help us mourn the passing and honor the memory of Cameron King. a more personal acknowledgement for all flowers, cards, personal condlences and such will be made at a later time. May you all leave and return to your day safely. Thank you.
<< she waved everyone away, and turned back to Erika, Blaze and Haleigh.>>
I think it's time to go back to Illustra. NOW.
<< as Nicolas came to her side, she looked over. His suggestion was very timely.>>
Thank you. I WILL ride with Alison of course. She has to know there's at least ONE person here she can trust
<< glaring at Erika>>
Persephone will ride with us. She's not exactly thrilled with several people here and i dont want her to be left alone. Delilah will ride with us as well.
If you would please take my mother, and ride with her, Vivica and Erika. Haleigh andZach traveled privately so they wont have to ride in the escalade.....and make SURE that no one bothers my mother or they will have to deal with ME!
Alycia has her own limo and will bring the twins.
<< she walked away, not missing a step in her five inch spiked heels as she went to see to Alison. she had no problems with Haleigh, and she hoped the woman would understand how awkward this was BUT that Morgan would ALWAYS take Alison's side.>>

[ Delilah just nodded at Alycia's comment - though she agreed about Erika and the twins, she didn't feel this was the place to fall into gossipping. As she moved to rejoin Morgan and the others, she noticed Blaze talking to Erika. No doubt once again trying to "gain points" with the new outsider. She shook her head - that outfit combined with her behavior on this day seemed somewhat disrespectful of Alison and her brother. But she shrugged it off - she wasn't going to dwell on it today.
After Morgan gave out the seating arrangements for the ride home, she followed a distance behind her on the way to get Alison in case they needed a few minutes to speak privately before leaving. She was glad to have the chance to be alone in a small, comforting group with the seer before getting back to Illustra. Alison seemed moments from snapping - if she wasn't on her way already - and she needed her friends around her and without annoyances now most of all. ]

Blaze stood quietly among Haleigh and Erika, obviously the shorter one of the group. She found her eyes traveling on the others present before stopping on Alison. The icy seer seemed to be distancing herself with everyone. Blaze stopped short as she watched Alison demand her sister conclude the services for Cameron’s funeral. Alison’s behavior was predictable, the mutant was amazed the witch kept it in synch this long.
Morgan walked over with her spiked heels making a crack about her inquiry with Erika. Even Blaze had to bite back a smile. Her sister always had a way with words but she nodded in agreement. "Okay." She said smoothly, walking towards Vivica’s BMW.
Her partner also encountered Alison’s abrupt attitude with Sydney, which was a foreshadowing of how tonight would go. Vivica could tell it was time to depart. She excused herself from the crowd she had been with, walking off to follow Blaze.
"If you want to stay with me tonight Blaze your more than welcome to. I know the ground is shaky with you and your friends." Glancing over to Ms. Fox, Blaze smiled while climbing into the car. "I appreciate that but something tells me its not a good idea. Morgan would want me to stay at Illustra for the time being. And I don’t want to unsettle her or the others. I think my wardrobe alone pushed the limits and my actions as of recently."
Turning on the car, Vivica looked back at Blaze, who was buckling her seat belt. "I thought you looked stunning." Blaze leaned forward to eject the CD that had been playing replacing it with Kelis’ "I’m bossy." Pulling out from the cemetery, the two headed back to Illustra.

Haleigh fell into her usual reticence, nodding in agreeance with what Erika said about Cameron finally getting to say what he hadn't while he was alive. Hardened soldier of war that she was, she pulled herself together and wiped the last of her tears from her eyes, looking over at a newly arrived Ororo. She was glad the woman had come... but got a dark feeling about what it might mean. Ororo didn't ever come to their realm just for the hell of it.
Blaze had the nerve to come over and strike up conversation with Erika, which prompted Haleigh to glare at her, boring her sharp green eyes into Blaze. And then the unthinkable happened.... and Blaze turned to Haleigh and began to speak to her, and Haleigh felt a surge of anger and the rising desire to BREAK Blaze's FACE. Zach began to make his way towards Haleigh through the sudden crowd of everyone forming groups to discuss Cameron's death. He began to drain some of Haleigh's wrath but it multiplied exponentially, and the longer Haleigh watched Blaze, the more it grew, until she was just about ready to BLUDGEON Blaze with whatever was within her reach... and then Alison saved her, by bolstering through their group, and Haleigh's attention was pulled to Alison.
Zach finally reached Haleigh as she was deciding whether or not she should go to Alison. He whispered in her ear that the Guardian needed a moment alone, as one of the twins began to approach Alison. Haleigh drew in a sharp breath... in all the comotion, she had forgotten Cameron's daughters were even going to BE here, and wrapped up in her own grief, she had not previously seen them. Haleigh was struck by how much they resembled their father and she knew, in that instant, she would protect and defend those girls as if they were her own. They were all that was left of Cameron King and in them he would live on. Alison, finally cracked by grief, anger, and guilt, snapped, and Morgan reacted quickly, ushering the rest of the guests out. It became clear that it was time to go, and Haleigh thanked all that was good and just that this event had come to an end with major incident.
Morgan was explaining to Nicolas what the carpool arrangements would be on the way back to Illustra and though Haleigh had wanted to ride with Alison [out of desire to both support the Seer AND be in like company], she understood that Morgan had known her longer and would be a better candidate for consolating Alison. Snubbing Blaze intentionally by not addressing her at ALL, Haleigh turn to wrap her arm around Zach's waist and begin the walk back to their DB9.
"Come on... let's go home.... I can't stand to be here any longer."
Zach nodded, draping his arm around her shoulders and kissing her temple as they walked out to the car. He knew Haleigh would come back to this grave later... when the audience only included her and Cameron.... when she would be free to say what she needed to in privacy.

<< and so, as the funeral service for Cameron King came to a close, his body would find a final , peacefull resting place in the beautiful, centuries old, famous gothic "Hope" cemetary...not to far from the grave of Senator Sharon Kelly. Would this become the final resting place for more members of the Six and their Allies? several came very close, but managed to escape...but only time will tell.>>
<< guests leave, and as the members of the six depart in their various methods of transportation, the cemetary workers add the finishing touches to the grave as the large, custom designed head stone is firmly fixed into its position.>>
<< Though Cameron's body is now at rest and his soul is free to roam the astral plane, his family and his friends are FAR FROM AT PEACE. The return of Erika does not sit well with Alison, her older sister. Nor does it sit well with Morgan and Alycia. Alycia Barnett and Vivica Lennox also find themselves in closer company with each other than they would prefer. And of course there is the general group wide disapproval of Blaze for her behavior as of late- her attire at this funeral did NOTHING to help matters and she wastredding on DANGEROUSLY thin ice with Haleigh. Persephone, the newest member of the team, now harbors justified resentment towards half of her newfound team for their inexplicable apathy toward her selfless act to save them from Malice in Limbo. Over all....the "best" part of the day was now OVER and things would only get worse from here for everyone involved.>>
<< there was also the matter of Sarah and Sydney King, who were at best, a "conversation" piece for most of those in the Six. Would they find a place with this team if Alison Marble was named their legal guardian? or would the seer force them to return to Erika's care and send ALL of them away for good? Once they all returned to Illustra, things would really begin to get intresting.>>
<< Funerals and Family Reunions often have a way of bringing out the WORST in any family dynamic, no matter what background and The Six were about to be reminded just how toxic family ties could be....but even with THAT, they would soon find themselves facing a new mystery one what would link two of the most unlikely members of the team together in a most unsettling way.>>
<< so much to watch...and plenty of time to enjoy it all unfold.>>
