I'm definately lookin forward to this! Just when you thought that little boy couldn't get any creepier... lol! I was disappointed by the first one, everyone thought it was so scarry and all.... the only part that creeped me out was when she crawled out of the television. But the second one looks amazing!

I know I was extremely let down by the entire movie... Everyone said that this movie was so scary and I get there and I am not even scared the ENTIRE movie.. at ALL!! I mean I jumped but that is pretty much it! I hope this one is better!

I hope they dont kill this second remake of the japanese original...but atleast there's a better storyline with the little boy involved :D

I enjoyed the movie a lot. It's not ment to be a scary "AHHH HOLD ME" type of movie. It's more of a mind game with heightened creepyness added to it. I thought it was extremely good, and Naomi Watts was amazing in it. So i'm really looking forward to seeing the second one.

Two words: Martin Henderson. :D
I liked it, but didn't think it was scary until the ending bits with Samara.

Oh yummmy right there man lol.
Actually, it was supposed to be a scary horror movie...that was the whole point of Ringu, of which, have anyone actually seen the japanese version of it? Now THAT was awesome lol.

clearly the original japanese versions are better than there american counterparts...based on all the write ups I've read. i saw the first one (the american version) and i wasnt really that moved by it. I though i was surprised at the bathroom scene with the man who was in the bathtub.
in this second one, Naomi Watts' character is supposed to show "growth" and not be at the mercy of circumstance as much. the director of the first one backed out and another person that Dream Works approached for the job passed on it as well...but they finally got Nakata, who directed Ringu(the original Japanese movie that inspired "The Ring") and its japanese sequel...so THATS a bonus.
and another bonus is that Sissy Spacek(star of the movie Carrie) is going to be in the Ring 2...so THAT adds to the appeal for me of checking out this movie. :)

I am so looking forward to this movie! From what I saw in the previews, it looks good. I didn't really think you could get much scarier than the first Ring.

I just saw the movie lastnight. It was okay...I liked the first one a lot better though. *Shrugs* It just seemed to drag a bit.

I feel like im the only one who REALLY liked the first one. I thought it was creepy as hell.... IN FACT... call me chicken... but i refuse to watch it alone... even though ive seen it twice, LMAO. Im not really a huge fan of horror movies... my sister is and she drags me into every one.... i just dont see the point in getting the daylights scared out of you... That said... I was surprised i liked the first one so much... perhaps i felt it was more of a psychological thriller [i love those] I really find it hard to take slasher movies seriously. I'm looking forward to the second one. :D
