<< as Sharon Kelly and Morgan Victoria were officially laid to rest. The members of the Six and their allies began to find peace and comfort. Alycia Barnett, long time attourney to Morgan as well as a trusted friend and Ally of the Six carried out the execution of Morgan's will.>>

<< but even as some matters were officially laid to rest and the grieving process continued its course, NEW issues were rising, particularly within the already dwindling core of the six.>>

<< as Foxfire stayed with Alycia in her office and Delilah took Doctor Victoria back to Morgan's apartment as ordered by Alison, Alison herself joined Haleigh in the hallway on the 90th floor for what was a long over due confrontation with the aloof and cold Alexis Quatermaine.>>

Standing away from the wall she watched Alexis leave without even a good - bye and Haleigh apologizing for her departure. Blaze saw the blazing anger in Haleigh's passionate eyes but she kept to herself. With everything in order, Blaze sighed.

Haleigh's threatening words echoing down the hallway seeping through the conference walls. Perking her head to the side, Blaze thought about following, but it wasn't her business.

Instead she looked up to the direct orders given by Alison. Nodding quickly she abruptly moved for the door. Her petite form standing beside it awaiting for Delilah to exit with Doctor Victoria. Once they did she turned and shut the door, locking it and lodging a chair up against it.

Something in Alison's tone was unsettling and it worried her. But nonetheless she would take the precautions. "Ms. Barnett, please step away from the windows." Walking over to them, Blaze pulled the blinds down to shut out any visible lighting which darkened the lawyer's room. Her gaze moving around the room to inspect for any unwanted guests, just in case. It was Blaze's nature to double check everything.

Her keen ears listening to every sound, including Alycia's slow breathing. Stepping closer to the woman. In these circumstances she usually made small talk but Alison's tone seemed proactive and desperate. So the mutant was silent, awaiting a confirmation from Alison.

Turning back to Alycia, Blaze noted the intimidating look the lawyer carried about her. It was easily to see why Alycia and Morgan were close. Side stepping a swivel chair, she felt the awkward silence filter through the room.

Blaze turned to Alycia slowly, uncertain if she should inquiry about her next idea. It was probably inappropriate. But it wouldn't hurt to ask while she was alone with Alycia. Clearing her throat gently she locked eyes.

"Alycia, may I ask you a question? I've been thinking about Morgan and Sharon these last few days and I have an idea in mind to honor the both of them. I'd like to get your thoughts and feedback about it first since you were a dear friend of both." She paused to see if the lawyer gave a reaction yet.

Once she saw an interest she continued, "I would like to set club XS up for one night to honor both leading ladies. Perhaps sort through pictures of Morgan and Sharon before they became stars of their careers and after. Maybe even have a spring fashion show with the countries top models to honor Morgan as a model. And even rally some political supports of Sharon. And my idea was that with these benefits received we could perhaps create a Charity for Morgan and Sharon. Any of the money received could go to the city to help rebuild any damage done to the structures destroyed. Or even given to Morgan and Sharon's favorite charity. I know Morgan and Sharon would want to give back, just as they gave back to us."

She awaited the response from Alycia, unsure what her reaction would be.

"Oh, and the other half finally makes her appearance!"

:: Turning away from Haleigh and to Alison, Alexis had a smugness that not only resembled Helena but portrayed the utter cynicism and viciousness that Helena was so well known for. ::

"The two newest leaders of The Six....you're just all about business aren't you? Confronting the black sheep of the group; making sure to protect the rest of the members of this team so they don't end up dead like Morgan."

:: Letting a low laugh follow her words, Alexis looked directly at Alison with the same intense glare that Alison was giving her. ::

"I have NOTHING to explain to you. In fact. I'm DONE explaining myself to this team. As far as I’m concerned, both you. And Haleigh. And everyone one else. Can riot in HELL with Morgan and Sharon."

:: Stepping forward, Alexis stood toe to toe with Alison, her midnight eyes expressing only contempt and hatred. ::

"They both got EXACTLY what they deserved..."

[ As Karen asked Delilah to accompany her to Morgan's penthouse, she nodded. ]

"Of course - whatever you want Doctor."

[ Listening to Alison's instructions, she knew something was up, but didn't ask questions. Alison would explain when the time was right. She and Dr. Victoria took the elevator to the top floor and entered the apartment through its double doors. Once they were safely inside, Delilah turned back to the door and raised her hands. Green light emanated from her hands and covered the door from frame to frame, sealing them in and anything else out. ]

Haleigh narrowed her eyes as Alexis quipped back, trying to provoke her about the estate settling.... perhaps even going so far as to insinuate Haleigh had WANTED this to happen. Haleigh heard the worst... but didn't bite. She could take her heart and turn it off when circumstances required... and this was one of those circumstances.

"Yes... it seems I got everything I wanted in the beginning, doesn't it?" She said, folding her arms across her chest. As alison appeared, Alexis made her first mistake... and turned her back to Haleigh as she squared off with Alison... Haleigh was rather irritated at this point... Alexis was ostracizing herself from the group... seemingly on purpose... why was she MAKING this Alexis VERSUS Haleigh and Alison? Haleigh remembered the stats she had watched last night... the anomalies in her thought patterns. Haleigh didn't know enough about Helena to make the connection there... but she did wonder if they were really dealing with Alexis... or another aspect of her personality. COULD she be a victim of multiple personality disorder? Haleigh didn't much care if she was or wasnt... all she knew was that Alexis was acting strange... and needed to be stopped before she did anything incredibly stupid. Haleigh silenced her footsteps and approached Alexis as she mouthed back at Alison...telling them all to go to hell... that was enough for Haleigh, who saw fit now to make the FIRST move before Alexis got any fresher with them... She wanted to test Alexis' responses... and how far she was willing to go... and she also wanted to show Alexis that she wasn't having any of the mess Alexis was trying to start.

Before Alexis could even realize what was happening, Haleigh reached out with machine speed, and simultaneously grabbed Alexis by both the hair and the right wrist... she wrenched Alexis' arm back up behind her and yanked her head over to the left... slamming her against the Elevator doors with force, but not enough to knock her out. Haleigh pulled up harder on her arm, and pinned her head to the door. Her voice was a low, gravely snarl.

"You know WHAT? I'll SEE YOU THERE. You don't want to explain yourself to us? That's fine. We'll assume as we see fit. You've been distant... avoiding us since the other night... now we MIGHT be able to dismiss that as the way you deal with grief... except that the way you've handled yourself today has made that pretty difficult to believe. We tried to give you the benefit of the doubt... but your behavior... going into a public place like CENTRAL FUCKING PARK.... looking like ME.... setting fire to city property... with NO REGARD for exposure, or what kind of consequences I might have to face if YOU were identified as me... THAT DON'T LOOK SO GOOD, my friend. Why are you trying to make this so HARD, huh? I tried to approach you calm... I tried to be diplomatic... but here you go... badmouthing... talking a WHOLE bunch of shit we aren't trying to hear... you tell me how YOU think we should be responding."

Suffice it to say... Haleigh was a little angry about what SHE assumed was a personal attack... and a dirty one at that. The shit HALEIGH would face for destroying park property... and even worse... the kind of attention and scrutiny she would get if Alexis had been seen using POWERS... Haleigh needed to stay under the radar... she had the MOST to hide. Had Alexis considered that? is that the exact reason Alexis chose to impersonate Haleigh, and not someone else? and if it WAS... WHY? and what did it mean for the rest of them?

:: Alison's lower jaw jutted out slightly. this...INSOLENT creature standing before her...it was unbelievable!::

::in her cold, harsh , direct tone she responded::

you forget, dear Alexis, I'm a witch. I know such spells that can SEND YOU TO HELL in an instant.

your ungreatfullness is only matched by your rudeness but why did i ever think that a selfish, deceitfull, two faced ingrate could ever truly GROW to be part of a team?

:: Haleigh hemmed Alexis up against the elevator door and Alison stood with her arms folded.::

I know what you did, I "saw" it, and it is clear now that you are as much of a security risk as you are a TRAITOR. I will see to it that Alycia makes an EXCEPTION to your portion in Morgan's will and as of this moment, you are cast OUT of Illustra AND the Six.

:: Being slammed up against the elevator door, Alexis grunted out a laugh as she struggled a bit in Haleigh's grip. ::

"Well, you don't have to be quite so theatrical."

:: Clenching her teeth together, Alexis lowered her eyes to the elevator button that was placed right next to Haleigh. Listening to Alison's words, Alexis smiled with pleasure as the woman banned her from Illustra and the six. Did she honestly think it would be that easy? Narrowing her eyes at the panel next to Haleigh, it suddenly began to spark and ignite with flames, sending the metal panel exploding forward. Taking this opportunity to slip out of Haleigh's grip, Alexis didn't hesitate and pushed the woman back toward Alison forcefully. ::

:: Waving her hand out in front of her, an electricity web formed in front of Alexis, blocking herself from both Haleigh and Alison. ::

"I'm going to kill each and every one of you. Make it as long and painful as possible so I can see the hurt in your eyes...And just for KICKS, I’ll fillet Alycia and Karen alive. Oooh...and Zach--can't forget your fiance Haleigh. But of course, I’ll have my way with him first."

:: Running her tongue along her teeth as she glared to Haleigh, Alexis gave a wicked smile to the two woman. ::

"You have no idea what you've done, and the hell I’m going to raise because of it.."

:: The electrical cage engulfed Alexis, as her own body turned into it's energy form. Being sucked back into the panel, Alexis was gone and the loud humming and buzzing of exposed wires were suddenly silent leaving only the lingering sent of smoke from the explosion. ::

:: Alycia nodded as she heard Alison. She knew something was wrong and that the Seer was acting quickly to address the situation. As Guardian left the room followed by Karen and Delilah, Alycia moved away from the large wall panel windows as Foxfire closed them. Alycia herself locked the doors to her office and Foxfire wedged a chair up against the door.::

::calmly, she went back to her desk. her 9 mm glock was conviniently hidden on the underside of her desk and she set down as Foxfire dimmed the lights::

I know the drill. I've been around the Six long enough, not to mention faced dangers at the courthouse and in the corporate world. Hopefully, Alison will be allright....It doesnt take a genius to figure out that it probably has something to do with Alexis. Her rudeness was unbelievable. Why Morgan even included her in the will is beyond me.

::Alycia rolled her eyes as she leaned back in her chair. Foxfire took this opportunity to explain her idea to Alycia...about a memorial bash at XS in honor of Morgan and Sharon, celebrating the lives and legacy of each woman and all the proceeds going to benefit the favorite charities of the two women..or even starting a foundation in their names. It was a very thoughtfull idea and Alycia couldnt help but soften her stern facial expression as she "steepled" her index fingers on her right and left hand beneath her chin, crossing her long legs at the knee.::

You know, Blaze, with all the sadness of late...the pain of loss....the idea of a memorial bash in honor of Morgan and Sharon sounds like a good idea. I'm sure Alison would agree to have Illustra sponsor the event so that no expense will be spared. I can call in some favors for advertisement as well. and all the proceeds can go do benefit Sharon and Morgan's charities or even the city's emergency relief fund to help facilitate repairs in the wake of Master Mold. it would show everyone that people CAN get along without depending on MysTech products, funds and technology.

:: looking down at a few notes on her desk...she paused for a moment.::

that sounds like a very good idea, Blaze.

::Alycia still had every intention of announcing her retirement from the DA's office and becoming a private citizen. She would remain on as the private attourney for the Six and Illustra but she would no longer be in the public eye like she had been for years. her reputation as a cut throat attourney, savvy business woman and corporate power house preceeded her...but she needed a change in her life. She needed more time to herself.::

But i have some other matters that i must attend to first. Jot your ideas down so that we can revisit them after this immediate situation has passed.

:: there was some commotion in the hall way, Alycia and Blaze could hear it::

I hope Alison is okay out there.

:: Guardian exhaled with irritation but before she could react, the panel near the elevator exploded with electrical feedback, actually startling both Guardian and Black Widow. Shockwave managed to pry herself loose from Black Widow in that moment of surprise and shoved Black Widow into Guardian..the two women stumbled back.::

::Guardian's cobalt blue eyes sparkled with a brutal resolve::

You will do NOTHING of the sort, you run away flash bulb. I will NOT ALLOW IT!

:: Guardian lashed out with her telekinetic AND temporal powers...warping the temporal field around the electric web as well as straining the molecules of the web with her TK. she intended to breach it and attack Shockwave herself. But suddenly, the metahuman was gone..having transformed into an electrical current and retreated through the wall panel.::

Black Widow, activate the defenses of this building and alert your men to cover all floors. Activate the protocalls for SHOCKWAVE specifically.

I'm going to move Alycia up to Morgan's penthouse with Karen. we can meet with Foxfire and MorningStar to brief them. I will not lose anyone else. I WILL NOT!

::Guardian moved past Black Widow. it was clear that Guardian would KILL Shockwave if it became necessary. the look on her face, the sound of her voice and the fact that she was now wearing her newly designed battle suit.::

::arriving at the doors to Alycia's office, Guardian thrust her hand forward ala' Prue Halliwell and with a rushing/chiming sound, the chair on the other side of the door flew back and the doors flung open. She strode into the room::

Alycia, Foxfire come with me. We're going to Morgan's penthouse. Foxfire, this is a matter of defense...so change up and be battle ready.

::Guardian motioned them to follow her immediately. The advantage the Seer had over anyone else in the team was that she could predict anyone's moves..she would know IF Shockwave would make a pass at her or those she was moving up to the top floor::

::simultaneously, a pair of cobalt blue eyes opens directly in front of Delilah::

MorningStar, we are on defense alert. Shockwave has betrayed the team and has been cast out of Illustra. She has made agressive moves against Black widow and myself and has made threats on the lives of the Six and their allies. You must suit up and be ready to defend yourself and the doctor. I am on my way up now with Foxfire and Alycia. Once there, i will brief you all further.

Blaze could see the ruthless cut throat lawyer could easily handle herself just fine. Alycia was far from a victim by any means and Blaze knew that. She liked the woman's spunk and flair for independence.

"I'm sure you can Ms. Barnett, there's no doubt in my mind."

She nodded as Alycia commented on her idea. Blaze was thrilled the attorney liked it and even complimented her. Now, all she had to worry about was Alison, it was really up to her. "I'll write up a detailed list of what I have in mind and the celebrities I can call in." Like Morgan, Blaze had her own private posse of friends.

She turned her head to the side at the explosion and the electricity surging through the air. Narrowing her eyes, Blaze created and manipulated a blazing firewall that surrounded the entrance of the door frame and herself and Alycia. She wasn't taking any chances, especially with how hostile Alexis' words were. The mutant had heard the last comment involving Morgan and Sharon. Anger swelling in her system but she saw the chair bolt from the door with such force, it startled Blaze.

The chair glided with the blazing fire wall and it melted like hot wax in seconds. She stepped in front of Alycia protectively only to see the door fly open, revealing Alison.

"Nice entrance." She teased but her smile faded and her fire wall extinguished. Glancing down at her wardrobe she would have to change. "Right!" She confirmed as she allowed Alycia to walk ahead, Blaze would take the rear.

As she did flames of hot lava formed up her ankles crawling up her athletic body. Brilliant colors of red, yellow, and orange sprang from the mutant's body. Her eyes dulled into that yellow tint. Every step she took her blazing inferno was intriguing to watch. It was like seeing a stunt devil on fire. Everything Blaze had worn was burning with fire but she stopped in the middle of the hallway.

She opened her hand as the smoke from the elevator panel zig - zagged to her hand along with the small patch of fire. It was like a wind was blowing in the direction of Foxfire. The panel was destroyed but no longer on fire or the threat of smoke. Sucking in a breath, the fire melded with her own. Blinking her yellow eyes she called out to Black Widow.

"Are you all right?"

It was a ridiculous question, she knew but it was her instinct to ask. Her eyes zooming around the building. Strutting off to follow Alison and Alycia. She would change once they arrived at the pent house on Delilah's floor.

:: A surge of electricity exploded outside of Illustra sending pedestrians screaming and running for cover. A thick black smoke lingered as well as a low humming....standing within the smoke was Alexis; well, what was left of Alexis. With short jet black hair razored at the edges and a piercing sapphire eyes, the former member of the six stood tall in front of Illustra smirking with delight. Dressed in a skin tight black catsuit (http://forge.wordpress.com/files/2005/10/charlize-theron-aeon-flux-20.jpg), at that moment, Shockwave was now dead and Blackout had been born. ::

:: Lifting both her hands forward, the street lights around the immediate area began to flicker. Alexis' mind and body weren't the only elements that changed for the meta human. Her power strength had increased far beyond what it was. Blackout's eyes turned a stark white and suddenly explosions could be heard left and right within Illustra. Elevator systems completely shut down; back up systems as well. The compartments came hurling to the earth and exploding with impact. Computers and any other technological equipment combusted violently igniting fires within their immediate areas. And finally, the entire building of Illustra went pitch black. Doing this more out of spite, Alexis' head tilted back as she looked at the once booming skyline which now sat completely darkened among it's competitors. ::

"You move Alison."

:: Smiling, Alexis exploded into a mess of electricity, suddenly disappearing within a street lamp near by. ::

---

:: Reappearing at Central Park, the newly cast out member of the six began to walk down the dimly lit pathways deeper into seclusion. Lamps flickered as she passed; the soft sparking sounds breaking the parks silence. Reaching the secluded area in which Malice had attacked her, Alexis made her way over to a lone bench and sat down waiting. She knew Malice was watching her, and she knew that this was exactly was the white witch wanted. ::

:: Crossing her legs at the knee, Alexis began to trace circles in the air with the toe of her stiletto healed boots, now waiting. ::

"Come out, come out, where ever you are..."

Haleigh recoiled as the metal panel came towards her. She let go of Shockwave's hair and swatted it out of the air with an annoyed look... and at the moment, Alexis wrenched away from her other grip, shoving Haleigh back into Alison. Extremely attuned balance kept them both from toppling to the floor. Haleigh slowed herself enough to lightly lean into Alison, rather than bowling her over... and Alison had the foresight to steel herself for the impact.

"GOOD... I want you to TRY... I'd like to have a REASON to give YOU EXACTLY what YOU DESERVE." She growled, echoing a Alexis' earlier sentiment. Alexis disappeared and Guardian sprung immediately into action. Haleigh could feel the anger in Alison's tone... and it was nice to know that Alison was going to go as far as Hales would. Haleigh caught Alison by the arm as she passed. Alison always had the tendency to revert back to the sole soldier syndrome... and Haleigh wanted to reiterate that she wasnt alone in this...

"Hey. Neither will I, alright?"

She said firmly, making eye contact and driving her point home. She let Alison slip away as she contacted Zach first.

"Hey baby... get the dogs, come home. The situation with Alexis has escalated... Illustra is going on full alert... and she's making some pretty ambitious threats." Haleigh listened as Zach warned her... Alexis wasn't herself right now... but he hadnt seen how the woman had been acting... and Zach was a benefit of the doubt guy... and Haleigh WASNT. "I don't give a flying fuck WHO she THINKS she is... if she tries to make good on her intentions... I'm going to NAIL HER TO THE WALL. Now come on, alright? ... Thank you... love ya too."

Blaze came out into the hall, as Haleigh contacted the head of security and ordered the full alert... and the denial of ALL access to Alexis. Blaze asks how she is... and Haleigh sighs as she makes her way to the conference room.

"Well... I've certainly been better..." she said, as they met up with Alison and Alycia. The lights flickered, then went out... and they stood in darkness for a few seconds. Haleigh would have laughed if she weren't so tired and her mood weren't so grim. "Relax... even my backup systems have backups... there's a security terminal at Clandestine dedicated to Illustra for circumstances like these... generators for power that have circuit breakers to keep from being fried... we're safe..." She reassured, as the lights slowly came back on, floor by floor starting at the top. Morgan's penthouse was the first to turn back on.

:: on the way up, there was massive electrical feedback...or at least the beginning of it. Illustra was WELL insulated and with the recently updated designs added by CI the systems held much better than they would have before. the power went out...but there no electrical fires, no PERMANENT damage. Though they had been stopped in the elevator, Guardian TELEBLINKED them the rest of the way up to the top and now they were outside of Morgan's penthouse waiting for Delilah to lower her laser field around the door.::

She's transformed.....now calling herself..Blackout. She's completely rearranged her look and her personality has been rewritten. It is directly connected to that Choker.......the CHOKER..why didnt i think of it BEFORE. The Choker was a family heirloom...the last person to own it...was HELENA QUATERMAINE. Morgan and I saw it at their family estate back when AJ had died. She's been taken over by the evil essence of Helena...she's going to realize the destiny that Adam and Helena had planned for her from the moment she was born...to be a weapon of power for MysTech.

:: Guardian continued to reach out with her precognition::

she's in central park...waiting for someone. Its...the WOMAN IN WHITE that I saw at the Cathedral!

:: folding her arms...as she looks intently::

Once inside, I'll use the scrying glass to get a visual of the area Alexis is in....if anyone else is there, most likely we will spot them and know what we're facing. We know Alexis' abilities as Shockwave. It is clear they have INCREASED now that she has become "Blackout". She may manifest NEW powers as well.

Alycia , please stay here in Morgan's apartment with Morgan's mother.. As you know she is a sorceress...a powerfull one at that. She can weave a pattern of power to create a warding spell around this floor similar to what Morgan used to do. It will ensure that the environment remains completely unchanged and no one will be able to breach the magick without getting badly hurt. The two of you will be safe.

whatever Alexis is now capable of, we have the resources to combat it. I....WE ::thinking about what Haleigh said to her on the 90th floor:: may have to kill her in order to save many MORE. I wont see any more death at the hands of ANYONE or ANYTHING attached to MyStech.

Having to regroup together, Blaze stepped inside the elevator with Haleigh beside her. The metallic doors sealing them inside as they ascended to the personal suites, preferably Morgan's penthouse.

Blaze stood in the back watching the team leaders of the Six. Noticing the hatred burning in their eyes for Alexis. Was it true? Was Alexis a traitor or another ploy? She couldn't label the blonde a traitor, but then again love was blind. She would have to overcome that factor and fast before any more damage was stricken to the city or Illustra.

The elevator halted abruptly with the lights dimming all together. Blaze's yellow eyes flashed brilliantly with the team teleblinked through the hallway. Her eyes adjusting to the pitch blackness. Raising her palm face up she softly blew two low powered fire balls. Both about the size of the human hand as they glided into two corners of the hallway. Supplying a source of light.

The mutant had been oddly quiet at Alison's cold and calculating words. Strolling down the hallway her blazing forms illuminating the hallway before the generators kicked on. She moved to peer outside one of the panoramic windows. Already fires were breaking out from the massive amounts of damage Blackout was causing.

Shutting her eyes she sucked in a breath with the fires lowering in flame. Any materials or items that were engulfed in fires were now extinguished. Any other resulting damage would require other forms of help, which was out of her hands.

Alexis had spared her life and why? Blaze didn't believe Alexis was a traitor to the team. And she believed Haleigh and Alison weren't giving the Meta Human the benefit of the doubt. Blaze knew Alexis and she saw what kind of heart she carried. There was some other factor, there had to be. Right?

Malice
04-25-2006, 12:52 PM
:: it was very quiet in central park. a few sounds of animals...the slight breeze...and an occasional passer by. as Blackout landed and beckoned for who she hoped to be watching. there was no reply or response. Blackout moved to the same secluded spot where Malice and WILDpack had attacked her...but nothing yet.::

::Blackout knew the Six, namely Guardian and Black Widow would come gunning for her to protect their team mates, allies and loved ones after all that had happened of late. she knew the power they possesed and that Guardian was now the strongest member of The Six in Spellbinder's absence. While Blackout had under gone a change courtesy of Helena's evil essence imbued in the choker...could she afford to face them all at once or even TWO of them..knowing that would most certainly KILL her to protect their loved ones and the city?::

:: Blackout knew the point of no return had come...and she needed to be shown the way....there was more "malice" in her heart than she may have known...but now it manifested in a major way.::

::still there was NO sound or reply in the secluded area where Blackout stood. she would have no choice but to wait....and hope that Malice would come for her....for Guardian would certainly lead the Six after her this evening.::

::soon, a cool voice dripping with contempt could be heard in the shadows and in the trees above...all around::

You wisely came to your senses. Too bad you couldnt have been smart enough to leave QUIETLY and delay having Guardian marshalling the Six to try to KILL YOU.

:: shadows lengthen and constract and soon, Malice emerges from the shadows...wearing Versace from head to toe: a white lowcut leather, front lace up corset, white leather hot pants which showcased her toned legs and white leather high heeled boots. the shocking outfit was rounded out with a white cape which was connected to the center of her corsett by a luxurious blue/white faceted diamond. the look was an erotic twist on the 18th century hellfire club garb worn by the "white queen". Her blonde hair was parted down the middle in a sleek bob.::

:: the newly enhanced WILDpack soldiers seemed to "slip in" from out of the shadows all around her. very impressively armed and wearing state of the art black ninja suits with the WILDpack logo::

you're going to stand you're ground...and FIGHT. you will EARN your place by my side and within MysTech. If you DIE..it is you're own fault for being so FOOLISH for Guardian will surely see to it that your DEATH insures the safety of her team and their allies.

:: Malice was cold, commanding, but seemed very much in control and confident.::

Shockwave
04-25-2006, 02:51 PM
:: Growing impatient, whether Malice made her presents or not, what was done was done. Alexis would defend herself against the six and die trying to kill each and every one of those bastards. As far as she was concerned, this was the point of no return; and frankly, she didn't want to return. She was done with those self absorbed, holier than thou people. She was tired of putting the team first, but most of all, she was truly sick and tired of having to mask who she was. ::

:: Hearing the cold voice of Malice, Alexis glanced to her left seeing the woman step out from the shadows all in white. A sore thumb as far as she was concerned. Standing from the bench, Blackout rolled her eyes at Malice's disprovement of her actions. ::

"I was never one to do anything low key. Get used to it."

:: Craning her neck to the side, Alexis knew that Guardian and Black Widow would kill her to protect the team; just another reason as to why they needed to die. If positions were reversed with any other member of the six, they would find a way to help their team member. See if something was wrong with them. Try anything within their power to bring that team member back. But this act alone only proved to Alexis that she was never welcomed on that team. That this WAS her true destiny. ::

"I'm fully prepared to die fighting them. I risked my life day in and day out while I was on that team....now I’ll risk my life to destroy it."

:: Stepping forward, Alexis narrowed her eyes at Malice who stood afar. ::

"And for the record, I don't take orders from you. I was tied down to a team full of pretentious know-it-alls for far to long, and I’m not about to get tied down yet again. You want to destroy the six, so do I. We have a common goal, so how about we try something a little out of our comfort zone, and work TOGETHER."

:: Alexis was through with "team leaders" and watching her tongue around them. She didn't exile herself from the six to get wrapped up with another woman who thought Alexis would become her lap dog. Malice seemed as headstrong and bullheaded as Alexis, so she knew her responds would most likely be unforgiving. ::

Malice
04-25-2006, 02:57 PM
:: Malice stood with her arms folded as her cape flowed in the wind. as Blackout snapped at her in a most insolent way, Malice cut her off with a hearty laugh::

Oh is THAT SO?

::she looked down at the young metahuman...smirking as a white halo formed around Blackout's head.::

::at that moment, Blackout found herself reliving EVERY PAINFULL, HURTFULL, TRAUMATIC experience in her life up to the present. the memories, the mental sensations all of it MAGNIFIED 10xfold as Malice continued to lash out and set her mind on FIRE. every nightmarish moment she suffered through where she didnt know if she would survive...she was forced to relive ALL at once and in a continuous loop.::

little girl, i am the WHITE QUEEN of the inner circle. I am ALL you have left. your father is DEAD, your AUNT is DEAD, The Six want you DEAD and if I give the word...YOU will be DEAD..you are NOTHING to MysTech unless I say so. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?

:: Malice shoved Blackout back forciblly..using only a fraction of her super strength as she finally ceased her mental onslaught.::

If i wanted to, i could POSSESS you and force you to do my bidding. I am giving you the CHANCE to come WILLINGLY to the life you were meant to lead...but you WILL follow my commands. you are woefully inexperienced....did you think your power boost as of late was becaue of your skill? ::she pointed at the choker:: it is because of THAT...the choker which you wear...imbues you with the essence and nature of your aunt...the Red Queen of the Inner Circle.

Now, take your position and be ready to battle.

:: Falling to the ground, Alexis screamed out in agony as she cradled her head within her hands. Memories flooded within her head; pain overtook her body. Unable to catch her breath, suddenly the attack was over. Heaving in breaths of air, Alexis kept her eyes cast to the ground trying to cool her ever-growing temper. Malice had power over her, that was obvious....so the meta human would have to take a different approach to their newly budding "partnetship". ::

"We'll see."

:: Pushing herself off the ground, Alexis gritted her teeth as she watched the white witch disappear into the shadows. Turning on her heal, Alexis made her way across the grass and to the bench, now awaiting the six to arrive. ::

<<the situation was certainly dire, as Blackout posed not only a threat to the team but their allies/loved ones and the city if she were to be guided by Malice, there was no telling HOW far she would go.>>

<< Guardian, Black Widow, Foxfire and MorningStar were NOW inside of Spellbinder's luxury penthouse and as they began to form a plan as well as making sure Doctor Karen Victoria and DA Alycia Barnett would be safe and secure thanks to a combination of Illustra's technology and the Doctor's protective magicks, they HAD to realize that this was indeed a sad state of affairs. for not only had they lost ANOTHER team member...Guardian (along with Black Widow) now deemed it necessary to DESTROY her in order to protect everyone else. It was a sign that the wounds from the loss and Spellbinder and Senator Sharon Kelly were not even remotely healed>>

A delicate meow greeted Blaze who had Tinkerbell scooped in her arms. She gently scratched the Siamese under the chin. Blaze was having difficulty with this mission and it showed in her emerald eyes. The thought of Alexis filled her soul with dread and sadness.

Walking over to the bay window she stared outside with Tinkerbell's purring softly calming her dreariness. Her back facing Black Widow and Guardian. The mutant was now equipped with a black leather suit like that of an X - Men. Black Gloves adorning her slender fingers with red flames indented into the suit and the name 'Foxfire' was stitched into the left breast pocket.

She was debating if she could carry through with this plot. Black Widow and Guardian had always been the blood thirsty ones, not Foxfire. They were all trying to heal from Morgan and Sharon's passing and now it was possible Blaze would have to mourn for Alexis.

Turning around she stepped closer to the team, Tinkerbell's little trinket chiming in the air with Blaze's black boots. Her eyes falling on Morningstar, curious of how she felt. Finally, Blaze had come to a decision.

"Guardian, Black Widow your both powerful women and now you take on the burden of team leaders. But I don't see Alexis' death as an only option. If that were me out there I'm sure you WOULD attempt to save me. That choker is the key, if we remove it we might be able to save her. Alexis is a unique individual and she has done some brash things in life. But death is NOT an answer. Its a solution for you both and I do NOT agree to it. And if we're a TEAM we vote right here, right now. Otherwise I will have NO part of this team! I'm still recovering from Morgan and Sharon's death and you two want to go in guns blazing."

She dipped her hand around Tinker's neck, stroking the hair to her scalp in a massaging manner. "This is wrong....Alexis has played the villain more than once. You know what she's like but she's just for show. How do you know she's not trying to allure this mysterious woman out? She did it once with Adam. Your both highly emotion from Morgan's death and your working on autopilot. There are other alternatives than THIS!"

Blaze's eyes shined with the emotions she felt, she shook her head her chocolate locks bouncing. "If you kill her....don't bother coming back here...because I will be gone. I have faith what do the both of you harness? Blood shed....its not the way. I want to hear what Delilah has to say, she's someone with a sound mind, if she agrees with you both, then I stay here. I cannot accompany on this mission....its too personal."

:: Guardian was now in Morgan's area of consecration which was secluded from the large expanse of the main areas of the penthouse by way of an exquisite ornamental silk screen. as she weaved her own scrying magicks over the large mystic lens....it began to shimmer and glow, finally giving a clear, uninterrupted arial view of Blackout in central park and the surrounding area.::

:: at this point, Blaze came closer to her than the others and voiced her concerns and outright objections to Guardian's solution of KILLING Alexis. It was a valid concern and argument and in another time and place, Alison might have given place to it, but now, her marble hard heart hardened even MORE to the idea of "saving" Alexis.::

:: without bothering to look over to the smaller mutant, Alison spoke..her tone cold but not as abrasive as it had been earlier.::

Foxfire....Blaze, your concern is noted, but you do not understand the gravity of this situation. This is not some RUSE on Alexis' part to "lure" the woman in white out. She has gone TO the woman in white for HELP. I have SEEN the past and the present ...this is not a case of Alexis needing to be rescued..this is a case of her...FINALLY being called to the destiny she was "bred" for. Adam, Helena, Christopher..and to a lesser extent Kelly ..and this new woman...they ALL knew that one day this would come to pass. Blackout will endanger our lives, the city, and will be the catalyst for Mystech's attempt at a REVIVAL in their black ops and other evil strikes against us and anyone ELSE opposing them. It has ALREADY BEGUN.

:: she continued to gesture...menacingly over the glass...as the soft hum of magicks could be heard in the air. she listend as Blaze spoke of Morgan and Sharon... her facial expression remained unchanged.::

I am doing what i must to make sure that NO ONE ELSE dies. I lost Spellbinder and Sharon Kelly...I will NOT lose anyone else and Alex...BLACKOUT has made it clear that she will slay US, Karen, Alycia, Zach and ANYONE ELSE we care about. You may vacillate on this...but i DO NOT and if i have to go after her ALONE then that is what i will do. It was because no one listened to my warnings that Morgan lost herself in the Inferno and we lost YOU. I will not allow anything like that to happen again.

::Guardian remained steadfast in her resolve but she would certainlly allow MorningStar and Black Widow to offer their feelings on the matter as well. The Six were now down to a core of FOUR....with three Allies. It was obvious that Guardian was now back to business as she had been months ago..any hint of "humanity" about her was gone. Foxfire was right, the loss of Morgan and Sharon HAD effected her and now...she would go to the extreme to protect those who remained..even if that meant (in her mind) KILLING one of their own.::

[ Delilah calmly listened to both Blaze and Alison. She was silent for a long moment before speaking. ]

Haleigh let every else speak first... she wanted a gauge on how they were going into this conflict... a state of affairs assessment, if you will. Unfortunately, as she found out... they were torn right down the middle. Alison said something about go after her alone if necessary, and Haleigh made a disapproving sound. Morningstar got a word in sideways, and Haleigh took over.

"NO, Alison, YOU WILL NOT. No matter WHAT we do, we'll do it TOGETHER... because I will NOT lose YOU. Alright? Now..."

Haleigh takes a deep breath and pulls her thoughts together... it is clear that whatever effect being in Morgan's penthouse was having on the others, it seemed to bolster Haleigh's confidence and rather than being saddened by seeing her belongings, she was strengthened with the memory of Morgan.

"Delilah... you make a moral, objective point... and I appreciate that. You are right... we should be sure that killing her is the very last resort. Blaze... we ALL know that your emotional attachment to Alexis is affecting your views... and that's okay... except that you're becoming a little overdramatic. Alexis and I merely... coexist... so I can't relate to your position... but remember: She's not on the gallows yet.... its just looking real bad for her. you didnt SEE her earlier... she was GONE by the time we tried to approach her. Christ, she even went BEYOND just threatening our lives... she vowed to make us PAY by targeting those around us. Blaze, look at me. If I HAVE to, I'll kill her myself. I'm sorry if that hurts you... but Alison and I are going to do WHATEVER it takes to keep you and everyone ELSE safe. If it were ME out there, let me tell you... I would expect the SAME thing. Because I KNOW... in death, we all return to who we REALLY are... and if I EVER hurt one of you, even if I was under mind control... I would spend the entire afterlife with guilt and shame... and I dont want that for Alexis. She's been a good friend... whoever she is right now... that's not her.... and when she comes back around... shell be mortified. We need to STOP her.... and we'll have to be willing to do WHATEVER it takes..."

Haleigh sat on the arm of a chair in the vicinity... she crossed her arms, blocking her heart.... it was obvious that she was cutting Alexis lose... and that, like Alison, nothing Blaze would say would change her mind. "You ARE coming with us Blaze. We are so few in number... we need all the help we can get... if you abandon us now... we might not all come back... look at it this way... if you come... you can ENSURE that Alexis is extended every second and third and fourth chance that we can afford to give her... If you COME... we have a better chance of resolving this WITHOUT loss of life."

With Delilah and Haleigh both supplying their point of view, Blaze felt better. Not by much, but to know at least the democracy overpowered Alison. Any other time the young mutant would adhere to the Seer's warning but like Haleigh said this was personal for her. Her emotional attachment to Alexis clouded her better judgment but even the thought of murdering a member of their teammate was wrong.

Her eyes studying each woman in the room from Alison, Delilah, and lastly falling on Haleigh. She took each opinion into account and consideration. She could only imagine the physical and mental strain, both Haleigh and Alison suffered.

Gently moving over to the sofa, Blaze sat down with Tinkerbell held safely in her arms. The Siamese seemed contained in her Aunt's arms. "You all bring up valid points especially you Haleigh. My judgment is clouded because of my emotional attachment...I'm more prone to defend Alexis than see what's right in front of me. As for as being dramatic, aren't we all? The two are you want vengeance and why? Because we all lost someone we love. But if there's anything to LEARN from my death and your own, is murdering someone isn't always the best solution."

Leaning down, Blaze allowed Tinkerbell to climb out of her arms. Strolling across the cushions on the expensive sofa. "Morgan killed....and why? Not particularly because she lost control but because she was EMOTIONAL. We're ALL emotional, not just me. You two are on the verge of killing a teammate...or former teammate."

Propping her elbow across the midnight blue pillow to rest. "If you think its best then I will accompany the team. But I warn you...I may not be at my best game." Her hand moved along Tinkerbell's healthy coat petting the feline.

"If we take her down...let's try and reason first..not necessarily Alexis. By this I mean try to form a plan. You say Alexis has ventured to this mysterious woman...then I think we should worry more about HER than Alexis. What can Alexis really do? We have Delilah who has powers I can't even begin to understand involving light AND sound. I'd prefer to know more about this White Queen than electro babe. Granted Alexis has a power boost but I hardly feel she's an extreme threat not like others we've battled. Alison...is there anything you can see about this woman? I overhead Karen say she felt as though she knew her." Her eyes falling on Karen. "Is that a case of deja déjà vu, Doctor Victoria?"

Yes, I said she seemed familiar. But that could have just been because she seemed like an older version of Morgan ...her body type, the way she walked, even her taste in clothes. I could recognize Versace anywhere as my daughter did an exclusive modeling campaign for them during the mid 90s.

I think that Alison has always been the most hardline of this group. I've known her for many years and she's brutally efficient. Haleigh is a less severe version of that. Delilah of course has conveyed the most fair assesment of the situation and Blaze, Haleigh is right...your "attachment" to Alexis IS the greatest liability....because you can bet that Alexis will have no qualms about striking you down.

The immediate threat to the city must be contained at the very least. If you are able to capture her then perhaps i can use my magicks to uncover any possession or other form of mental coersion. BUT if she threatens your lives beyond mere implication....then you will have to do what you have to do.

Though it was a LAST RESORT....Ororo and I were prepared to slay Morgan during Inferno or perish ourselves....we couldnt "save" her at the expense of the city or the world that would have been FOOLISH on our part.

Alexis is a lesser version of what Morgan became during Inferno. all restraints on her part are broken....she will not hesitate to crush you. so be carefull that you do not extend your heart too far Blaze.

I do not need my precognition to be able to figure out that the woman in white is from MysTech and that the choker is not of HER design. It is a Quatermaine family heirloom. You all should REMEMBER that MysTech uses a synergy of technology AND magick to achieve their goals....they carry genetic samples as well as stored "consciousness" for ALL of their high end generals...which is how they imbued the choker with Helena's essence. Blaze you werent here for that caper.

:: her tone DRIPPED with agitation::

we're WASTING TIME! I have never particularly cared for OR trusted Alexis. Team mate or NOT...the only reason she was apart of this from the beginning was because her father and aunt represented the evil which we were fighting. If ANYONE was most likely to cross sides it was HER. This isnt like Morgan, who lost herself to dark magick and lashed out at the people who pushed her over the edge....ALEXIS joined forces with the very ENEMY WHO KILLED MORGAN AND SHARON. I prophesied AGES ago that Alexis would one day reveal her true colors...and THIS looks to be the moment in hand. You may not want to kill her, but if you are unable to function effectively in battle because you cannot see things for what they are, the I suggest you make room for those who CAN.

Shockwave
04-27-2006, 09:19 PM
:: Bouncing her foot impatiently as she waited on the bench for The Six to arrive, finally four energy signatures appeared out of no where, surrounding the meta human at different locations. Smiling, Alexis casually brushed some dirt of the wooden bench showing no indication that she felt threatened. ::

"Well, it's about time you showed up."

:: Brushing the dirt off her hands, Alexis pushed herself up off the bench. ::

"Debating on whether you should kill me? Capture me? Oh! Maybe try and rescue me....the way you couldn't rescue Morgan? Am I getting warm?"

:: Locking onto Blaze's energy signal, she was high within a tree only a few feet in front of Alexis. ::

"...Mmmmm, I think I am."

:: Thrusting her hand forward, bolts of black lightning smashed into the large tree in which Foxfire was located in. A massive explosion could be heard as the bolts made contact, sending flaming branches, sparks, and debris flying every which way. Alexis had specifically aimed for the branch in which Blaze was perched on, but her bolts alone were now more massive than they had previously been before, that with one single attack, the top half of the enormous 200 year old oak had completely been blown to pieces. Another indication showing that Blackout's strength and powers surpassed what was known by Shockwave. ::

"Rule number one...."

:: Turning around, even though they were in a secluded area of Central Park, they were still in New York City. Lifting her hands, power lines above and around the surrounding area exploded instantly. The ground began to quake around Central Park shaking the power line poles from their foundation allowing Blackout to control them via their energy signal. Three power lines and their poles hovered in the air as Alexis held her hand out forward. ::

"Never underestimate the enemy..."

:: Two of the poles began to hurl toward Alison and Haleigh; the lines itself cutting through tree branches like a razor sharp knife. Sparks hit the shrubbery allowing Alexis to send a surge of energy into those sparks making them ignite instantly into flames. The last pole went straight for Delilah much in the same fashion. The secluded and once quiet area of Central Park was now illuminated with flames, making it a beacon compared to the darkened streets of New York City that surrounded it. ::

Without any objection the team was transported to Alexis and Malice's location. As Blaze equally adjusted to her location she crouched down in the tree. Her eyes spying the shape and silhouette of Alexis and Malice, the White Queen.

She depicted the new change within Alexis, the new wardrobe and the physical overall look. But Blaze still couldn't begin to register this new fact. Her love for Alexis blinded her to the truth, the real truth that Haleigh and Alison warned her of.

Just as she was adjusting to her new atmosphere Blackout struck. But Blaze's lips slipped into a cocky grin. Backflipping from off the tree, sending the electricity in the air as the hair from her arms became erect. But as she free falled to the ground massive black lightning struck the tree causing an explosion. Various tree branches and leaves sky rocketing to higher elevations. One of those branches colliding with Foxfire.

Several of the thick branches colliding with her, knocking her to the ground. A few free leaves cascading over her costume. Foxfire was still for a moment before she peaked her head up, shaking it from one end to another. Her eyes zooming on Black light.

Climbing out of the pile of debris Blaze spotted the telephone lines targeted for Alison, Haleigh, and Delilah. Opening her palm a high powered lava blast collided, MELTING the wood to liquid before it collided with any of the women. Somersaulting a few feet in front, Blaze cocked her head to the side.

"Back light! Opps I mean Back out! What the hell kind of name is that!" She taunted, walking towards Blackout purposely. "At least your Aunt had the creativity to out do you...are you trying to copy cat, Alexis?" She continued her stride without fright for the black hair vixen. "And what's up with targeting me? Trying to pretend your some bad ass." She kept taunting more, gaining Blackout's attention.

"Taunting me are we, Blaze? Trying to get a rise out of me? You're playing a very dangerous game; and not very well I might add....."

:: Turning to the woman, Alexis let out a low laugh. ::

"I feel the sparks within you when you look at me. You want me; even NOW. At this very moment you would throw me on the ground and have your way with me. Who do you think you're fooling, strutting your pathetic, love stricken, ass up to me acting as if I don't send chills down your spine."

:: A soft electrical wave fluttered down Blaze's spine just to emphasize her point...and further rub salt into Foxfire's wounds. Hearing Alison yelling to her, Alexis' attention was soon diverted as she turned to Guardian...She had avoided her attack which Blackout knew she would. Hearing Guardian's last threatening words, Alexis became alert knowing she was about to attack. ::

:: Anticipating Guardian's harsh attack, as the woman thrusted her hands out, Alexis' body turned into it's energy form. The detonation of Alison's attack made Alexis' energy signal explode sending sparks flying everywhere until there was no sign of Blackout anywhere. ::

:: Suddenly, right underneath where Alison was standing, the ground EXPLODED violently upward as Alexis' energy form came hurling out from the ground in a shockwave. Huge pieces of dirt, grass, and rocks rained down among the park as Alexis reappeared into view. ::

Haleigh refrained from saying much else... everyone had their minds made up... and she was just grateful everyone was going to do this together. Alison teleblinked them to Central Park, and Haleigh immediately sank back into the shadows.... her comfort zone. In the night, this secluded, wooded area of the park would seem creepy to most. Not to Haleigh... she loved woods... the thicker, the darker, the better. She had nothing to fear in the night.... she WAS the predator. Like her teammates, Haleigh was in her Battle Dress Costume... it was form fitting leather and, like her mood, black. Unlike Foxfire's, which was emblazoned with her name, haleigh's didnt NEED her callsign... the buckle of the low slung belt was engraved with a blood red 'hourglass' symbol... and on the black background, it was an eerie innuendo to the Black Widow spider. Alexis was distracted fronting on Blaze and Alison, and Haleigh just sat back and watched. She got the looming feeling that they were in danger... almost as if she sensed they might be ambushed. It was AWFULLY easy to surround ALexis like they did... and it would be all too easy to be surrounded themselves. As her comrades tussled with Alexis, haleigh instinctively placed small explosive charges in a perimeter... they weren't enough to kill... but they would alarm the group to anyone on the approach.

It was then that Haleigh decided to join in on the fun, after casting a wary look around. Alison called Alexis out for the traitor she was, and Haleigh AGAIN snuck up behind Alexis silently. This time, however, Alexis would feel the cold steel of a 12 gauge shotgun barrel against the back of her neck. Haleigh pumped the gun once to load it, As Alison called for Alexis' heart.

"Rule number TWO, you conniving snake... never overestimate YOURSELF. That's twice in a row you've fallen into the same trap... twice in a row I've snuck up on you.... you're not really getting any smarter, are you?" Haleigh's dialogue shifted to alison, but her eyes never left Alexis. "Are you sure she HAS a heart, Guardian? that one... i'd have to see for myself."

Haleigh said coldly. Alexis' quip about not being able to rescue Morgan had unintentionally touched a nerve within Haleigh. She hit alexis at the base of her skull with the butt of her gun, allowing herself a little brutality. alexis, already in pain, would see stars on impact. Again, Haleigh's hit was just SHORT of K.O. intensity. She wanted Alexis to FEEL it.

Foxfire

The fiery mutant kept her stride toward Blackout. Her chocolate locks messy as they bounced with each step she took. A few cuts and scrapes admiring her tanned face but they too began to heal and disappear into thin air.

Her heals snapping a few branches in half with her footing. Perking a curious brow as Alexis addressed her. Raising her black gloved hand, a blur of red sphere's came hurtling into the thread of tree limbs and shrubbery. The sphere's eating away any trace of wood to reveal a pile of ash. The atrocious odor of smoke and burning wood lingered in the air. Fox continued her direction. "I realize Rosie O'Donnel was making a statement with her hair but I didn't think you'd feel liberated to mimic that horrific style."

Keeping her distance from Blackout, Blaze pinpointed both Alison and Haleigh by tracing the sound of their voice. Each of the women confronted their former teammate. Stopping in her tracks, Blaze's keen hearing identified the electrical currents forming around her. Rolling her green eyes she cartwheeled in the blink of an eye. Her black ankle boots kicking a few chunks of debris into the air.

Gaining an extra three feet or so, Blaze could better prepare herself for the onslaught Blackout was dishing her way. Blackout's wave of electricity was far superior than Blaze's average speed. It connected to the back of her dirt stricken uniform with a loud ZAP from the electrical spark of electricity and fire colliding. Blaze couldn't even scream as the pain shuddering down her spine sending jolts rocking through her skeletal system and her heart to stop for a second. Collapsing to the ground in a heap, Blaze was down. Her athletic body shook with slivers of steam rising off her uniform.

Shutting her eyes tightly, Blaze felt almost paralyzed from the attack. Her healing factor easing the pain in small doses, but that too seemed fried or temporarily out of service. Her gloved hands balling into a tight fist. The painful agony beginning to ignite her own natural fiery furry. Her eyes fading from that charming winter green to be replaced by a dark and unnatural shade of yellow.

Pushing up with her gloved hands, Blaze began to climb to her feet. Her hair wild and frizzy from the electrical jolt she received. Blaze's temperature drastically climbed to higher degrees in seconds and Black Widow would feel that due to her own powers. Blaze's skin began to tan and darken with the heat rising from her mutant form. A few flames breaking out against the suit she wore. The black tint of the armor disappeared with more outbreaks of flames exploding across her body. Blaze's human form was beginning to disappear all together. Frantically the fire ignited throughout Blaze's body spreading like a forest fire.

In minutes, Foxfire's body was engulfed in brilliant rays of orange, red, yellow flames. The blazing heat melted down the trees around her, the tree leaves drying and shriveling up. Her facial expression all obscured by fire and her general outline was no longer visible. Her flickering flames rose higher as she was pulling in the other flames Blackout had caused with her earlier explosions. Any dirt and debris that rocked the ground were melted like candle wax.

Whirling off into an easy glide riding the air currents Foxfire whirled around any fires that still burned, collecting them on contact. Adding to her power and increasing her dangerously hot temperature. Her yellow eyes noticed Haleigh behind her, knowing it was too dangerous to attack. Or was it?

With Guardian tugging on Blackout's heart, Foxfire tapped into the Metahuman's body temperature. Having the strain on her heart, Alexis' body would be working overtime to accommodate the pain and agony to keep her body alive. And thus, Alexis would begin to perspire not only from the fighting but the hot temperatures around them. It was like being close to a bon fire. Foxfire targeted Blackout's major organs by increasing Blackout's temperature. Her body would begin to feel faint, light headed, dehydrated, and nauseated. The longer of a duration Foxfire kept her hold the warmer Alexis became. She was trying to microwave her organs while Black Widow and Guardian attacked.

Love hurts doesn't it? Becareful who you scorn....they might love you but they can easily kill you too.

Haleigh's firarm disappeared from her hands... instead, a hunting knife materialized... and the rest of Haleigh's patience seemed to dissapate. She raised the serrated blade and dug it into the top of Alexis' shoulder, hitting bone and pushing harder to force the metahuman to her knees. She grabbed Alexis by the hair and yanked the knife out of hr shoulder, bringing the bloody blade to her throat, bending down to whisper in her ear.

"I would slit your throat... but I am enjoying too much watching you suffer for what you did." She stood again, casting her gaze out into the trees that surrounded them, her voice amplified and challenging. She KNEW someone was out there... watching them.

"BEHOLD! Your PRODIGY child! She was one of our own... and this is the fate she faces for even SPEAKING of harming those we hold dear. We will have even LESS mercy on you. Show your face. IDENTIFY yourself... That we might come to know the extraordinary woman Alexis betrayed us for... the ALMIGHTY ally she thought would save her from our wrath.... the COWARD who since abandoned her. Or shall you cringe in the shadows, and allow her to die this way, as she has ALWAYS been, a DISGRACE to the Quartermaine-Chandler name?"

:: A sharp pain shot through Alexis chest as Alison began to slow her heart down; causing the blood throughout her body to slow as well. She felt her muscles going weak and knew that if Alison continued on with this attack she would leave herself vulnerable for other attacks. Grabbing her chest in pain, before she was about to react to Alison's attack, Alexis felt Haleigh's presents behind her. Unable to react quick enough because of the immense pain she was feeling, Haleigh delivered a swift hard blow to her head with the butt of her gun, immediately making Alexis collapse to the ground. Coughing out, her skin was growing pale and soon she felt as if her insides were burning....Lifting her eyes toward Blaze, she knew it was her doing. Alexis was down, but sure as hell wasn't down for the count. ::

:: Weakly lifting her hand out toward Alison, Blackout locked onto the precogs signature and began to DRAIN her energy from afar; without the need to actually touch her skin like Shockwave had to. Growing in strength as Alison weakened, she could feel the precogs attack start to weakened, giving her enough strength to turn her head and look over her shoulder to see Haleigh grab a knife that was hidden in a shoulder holster. Rolling to the side, the knife missed her shoulder but grazed her arm, creating a bloody gash. Kicking her leg out, she swept it forcefully across Haleigh's ankles knocking her to the ground. ::

:: Coughing, her body felt like it was on fire; Blaze's attack still taking it's effect on her. Growling out, now she was getting damn annoyed. Pushing herself up off the ground, because Blaze was in a flamed state, her energy was stronger and more easy to manipulate than ever. Waving her arm ala Prue, Alexis took control of Blaze's entire state of being and sent her HURLING into a tree way across the park where Delilah was last seen. The tree exploding into flames on contact. At this point, Blackout was going to do exactly what her name had entitled.....::

:: Lifting her arms out to the side of her, Blackout's body began to hover above the ground as the fires around the park instantly went out. The park lights exploded and the city surrounding Central Park INSTANTLY dimmed to completely darkness. Blackout's body rose a good twenty feet off the ground; her head tilted back and her stark white eyes closed. Her body began to glow a brilliant white; the brightness only intensifying as the moments past. Then suddenly Blackout was engulfed in white light and EXPLODED sending a MASSIVE shockwave of white energy that resembled that of a exploding star out throughout the park. Alexis had drained the entire Upper East Side of Manhattan and set it loose on Central Park and the members of the six. With enough power to that of THREE atomic bombs, everything (and anyone) in Central Park was completely destroyed....only blackened dirt and pieces of burnt shrubs remained in the rubble that resembled a war zone. Although Alexis' attack could of destroyed at least a five miles of where they were, she contained her attack to strictly stay within Central Park....she would deal with the city soon enough. ::

MorningStar
04-29-2006, 02:03 PM
[ Delilah found herself teleblinked to Central Park. Alison's behavior worried her - it even crossed her mind that something akin to what had happened on Haleigh's yacht was happening again. Something was off - but being thrust into the midst of a battle meant she would have to wait to sort out her friend.

Seeing Alexis' new persona for the first time, she was shocked at her transformation: not only the physical, but the clear darkness that was coming from her. The cruelty in her speech. It was a struggle to not share Alison's view that this was someone to be exterminated.

She let the others take their turns at Blackout, but as Blaze landed near to her MorningStar stepped forward. As Blackout rose into the air and unleashed her explosion, Delilah quickly used her powers to shield herself from the blast, crouching and weaving a forcefield of light around herself.

Simultaneously, she spread her fingers, absorbing the roaring sounds of Alexis' attack and the battle going on around her. Now left amidst the burnt remains of Central Park, Delilah stood tall and finally addressed Alexis. ]

"Looks like we've got a score to settle."

[ MorningStar threw her arms out to her side, then swept them forward towards Blackout, unleashing her full power on their former ally. No holds barred, no pulling any punches: it was time to neutralize the threat Alexis posed. Morgan had died to save this city, and she wasn't about to allow Alexis to destroy it.

Now armed with the energy she had absorbed from the battle, she let it loose on Blackout via a stroboscopic flash bulb effect. The brightest end of the light spectrum was now engulfing Alexis with a strobe light effect, bombarding her optical senses. Closing her eyes would provide no relief - the strobe would penetrate her entire frame, painfully blinding her without escape. Delilah was relentless, only increasing the intensity and frequency of the flashes as time passed, holding nothing back. ]

Foxfire
04-29-2006, 03:39 PM
Foxfire's unwavering anger fueled her power and her mood shifted from the neutral negotiator to an executioner. She now understood what Haleigh and Alison did, maybe not as much but in the same boat. A cruel smile tugging at the corners of her mouth to watch Haleigh brutally stab Alexis in the shoulder. Her eyes following the Metamorph like a hungry wolf out to feed. Blackout was cunning but her hold over her organs was far more powerful than noted for.

One by one, Blackout retaliated against the four remaining Six. But as short staffed as they were the women proved how powerful they were. Their union and strength brought them through hell and back. And now, they had to handle this matter with Blackout.

Granted, Blackout was powerful but not enough to take down all of the Six. Alexis would need more firepower for that. The battle stricken park was beginning to show signs with the smoke rising from the various piles of ash that still burned. Foxfire did detect another scent but could not pinpoint the exact location.

Her fiery form animated ready to defend herself against the traitor. Her molecules popped and fired but they tingled with Blackout's power. This attack would leave Foxfire vulnerable and unfortunately there was no getting around it. One minute Blaze was gliding in the air and the next the air currents around her changed. It was like a candle being blown out.

In one sweeping motion Blaze felt her flaming form retract backwards. The movement was so hurried and frenzied Blaze had no time to react. An ear shattering explosion rocked the ground as the fiery form crashed into a large oak trees. Blowing the tree's trunk to hell and the leaves raining down on the park. Some of the green leaves flaming with fire. It was like watching a movie in slow motion. Tree branches were twisted, broken, and hurled across the crisp green lawn. The crackle of fire was heard but no physical sign of Foxfire. Just...fire.

Hidden behind a few bushes, Blaze was crumbled in a heap. Her fiery form extinguished to reveal her human form. Blood seeped through the black leather suit where a tree branch protruded from her right side. Several cuts worn across her face and her uniform. The suite itself was stained with dirt, smoke, and blood. Wincing in pain, her bottom lip cut from the bark's wood. Her green eyes blood shot from the damage she took. Pulling off her gloves to pull the branch from her side. Puddles of blood oozing from the wound and around the oval hole in her suit. Taking a deep breath she began to tug on the branch. The pain was excruciating as she screamed in pain.

Even a small tug was agonizing and it seemed to cause the wound to bleed more. If Blaze wasn't careful she would bleed to death. She shouldn't have come on this mission, but she did it for the team. A throbbing pain ached in her spinal column, she was lucky not to be paralyzed. Her breathing heavy but she attempted to remove the branch. Her fingers wrapped around the branch tugging it out quickly. Tossing the branch to her left. Pressing down on her wound she closed her eyes. Blackout manipulated her energy signature which disrupted her healing factor. The energy would need to be replenished if she were to heal from this brutal attack.

Foxfire felt her body reacting to the extreme pain she felt. She fought to keep conscious, silently praying her healing factor would kick in. There was no visible sign of Foxfire, which meant one thing...she was hurt.

:: Lowering back down to the ground, the devestation around Central Park was unthinkable. It literally looked like a Heroshima bomb had exploded in the middle of Manhattan. Her healed boots dug into the soft soil ground as she looked to Delilah who finally addressed her. Narrowing her eyes, Delilah waved her arms forward sending a massive strob-like attack toward Alexis blinding her immediately. Closing her eyes, she moved her arms in front of her face trying to sheild herself the painfully blinding light but it was useless. Blinded and in pain, Alexis stumbled backwards trying desperately to regain herself during Delilah's onslaught. ::

<<this battle was as personal as it was destructive. fire and electricity had caused much damage to an ever growing radius within central park, buildings near by were experiencing power surges causing massive feedback through personal appliances and other electronic equipment. fires were raging all around the area and now police and emergency crews were working DOUBLE time to address the ever increasing amount of emergencies>>

<< Guardian and Black Widow had succeeded in checking Blackout in the first round but as Foxfire attempted to join the melee, Blackout manifested a new way to use her energy absorbtion power as she gained a second wind from Guardian's own energy...turning the tables on the team and visiting much destruction on central park. The members of the Six were forced to fall back but MorningStar began round two as she laid Blackout down witha powerfull attack and while it caused a violent reaction from the metahuman, it still gave the team the chance it needed to regroup>>

<< but now, there would be yet ANOTHER twist to this battle>>

:: a voice dripping with contempt flowed around the battle area as the shadows lengthed::

well, isnt this nice. the children are at play again.

:: The woman in white stepped forward in her provocative, sexy costume...as the newly redesigned WILDpack agents began to appear every where all around::

:: Malice clapped her hands sarcastically::

congratulations, Blackout. you've not only managed to draw ALL POSSIBLE ATTENTION to the battle, but you've also proven that havinge alot of power doesnt necessarily go hand in hand with KNOWING HOW TO USE IT.

::she berated before sighing::

Well, now we'll just have to mop the floor with these.....

::she waved her hand dismissively at those who were present...::

common rabble.

STAND UP...i'll be your eyes.

::Malice activated a PSI link with Alexis...giving her a renewed sense of sight via telepathy until her own optical sense was repaired.::

::looking over at Haleigh, Malice smirked::

a clever move, those depth charges, but not clever enough. you see, i'm more than aware of you and your powers. I've made a few "changes" to the WILDpack....

:: gesturing to the many soldiers that were now present and taking aim at them from all sides::

oh yes, they did manage to survive Spellbinder's mass evacuation back at the Windmere tunnels and while Helena may not be around to enjoy this moment....I fully intend to.

Even without your precious Spellbinder, you all are plenty powerfull, that much is clear. Guardian is your magickal power house, MorningStar has ALWAYS been Alexis' rival in power, Black Widow brings the technology, stealth and cold hard military edge and Foxfire....my my, the hyperactive little fire fly who got a new lease on life....how does it feel knowing that you'll NEVER evoke the fear or draw the ire from MysTech that your sister always did?

take this, and use it now.

:: a voice whispered from behind Blaze, a gloved hand emerged, with a healing potion. It was Alison.::

and YOU were the one who wanted to "save and reason" with Alexis remember?

::The stern tone in Alison's voice suggested that she disapproved of Blaze's over the top response toward Blackout.::

we had her checked, but your attack caused her "fight/flight" instinct to kick in. She somehow locked onto MY energy and drained me..without even TOUCHING me. her powers have evolved with this transformation....she's as dangerous as she is volatile. this "affairs of the heart" game that you have going on with her BETTER NOT influence your judgement again.::

:: she watched silently from behind the bushes as Malice appeared::

and there SHE is...the white queen of MysTech's Inner Circle.

::looking over at Blaze.::

you stay down until the healing potion restores you.

:: Growling out, Alexis slammed her hands into the ground with frustrations as she heard Malice appear. It was one thing to have to work with the woman, but it was another when the woman whom she was teaming up with started to berate her. Letting out a heavy huff, Alexis was still blinded but suddenly could see via psi screen through Malice. ::

"Do me a favor and save your belittleing for them."

:: Gesturing outward toward the remaining members of the six. ::

"They're the enemy, not me."

:: She knew damn well that Helena would of NEVER taken Malice's tone or sarcasm; same goes for Adam and most likely Christopher. All of The Inner Circle were stong, independent, and very headstrong members and could hold there own. And if Malice believed Alexis would just sit back and take her constant badgering and harsh words JUST because she was a previous member of the six, she was wrong. She was a Quartermaine; had the same blood as her aunt. The same strength and strong will. Yes she was weaker than Malice, but so was her aunt...and obviously the two of them came to an understanding at some point in time. ::

:: Blinking her eyes a few times, she could still see perfectly clear with Malice's psi screen allowing her to servay the members of the six and the WILDPack in which surrounded them. As Malice spoke to the members of the six, Alexis' vision began slowly come back; very dark and blurry at first. Running her fingers through her ebony locks, the two woman of black and white, stood tall as the WILDPack kept aim on the six. ::

"Blaze couldn't intimidate a mentally disabled baby, let alone MysTech."

:: Letting out a low laugh, Alexis looked over to the woman who nursed her wounds, then shifted her attention back to the standing members of the six. ::

Foxfire
04-29-2006, 06:26 PM
Guardian's stern voice broke the silence in the air around Foxfire. Her green eyes moved to see a gloved hand holding a crystalline glass potion. She wondered how often did the Seer carry these, but said nothing. She was of course hurtful in her own pride for not abiding by Alison's rules. But hey, Blaze always was emotional and she openly followed her heart. However, even the mutant was starting to think that putting up a few walls wouldn't hurt.

"Thanks.." Her tone weak with her right arm grabbing the potion. Her eyes locked onto the Seer's and she felt the disapproval draining from Alison. A heavy sigh escaped Blaze to signify she understood. Her actions endangered her own life and possibly the team. She should have known better than to have faith in capturing Alexis.

It seemed there was no turning back now. It was all or nothing with Alexis playing for the opposing team. That same team who murdered Morgan, Sharon, Jasmine's daughter, etc. She nodded at Alison's firm instructions before watching the Seer move away to a better view point. Alison was like a second older sister to Blaze, so identifying when her friend was upset was usually clear. Foxfire knew the brunette was only trying to look out for her.

Squeezing off the glass top, the potion was a fluorescent shade and the stench was awful. Blaze had to gag at the odor of the potion. Holding her breath she maneuvered her hands to pour the cool liquid along her gapping hole through her side. The wound was already red but with the potion it fizzed and pussed. Biting down on her lower lip, Blaze breathed out.

The pain beginning to substantiate as time rolled on. Another voice echoed throughout the damaged woods around central park. Tilting her head, Blaze saw the same lady in white. Who was she? As Blaze stared at the femme fatale she began to understand what Doctor Victoria meant. In a way she DID resemble Morgan not only by style, her body language, even her tone. It was like having a bad case of déjà vu.

Draining the glass potion of its contents, Blaze's wound began to close. Any blood drying up and her energy was returning. The magical potion restored Blaze's health and repaired the damage to her wounds. She would heed Guardian's warning about sitting this out. It might play out well with how observant Foxfire was.

Her name brought Foxfire's attention to Blackout. Rolling her eyes, only Alexis would say that. Running the tip of her tongue along her healing lip.

"Antagonism is like foreplay for you, Alexis. And now that you make a few friends you decide to grow a spine. Please Alexis your nothing but a worthless MysTech dropout. Even your mother knew that...that bitch should have just swallowed or took it up the ass rather than bring a mistake like you into this world."

Alexis attempts to sweep Haleigh's legs out from under her, but Haleigh is uninjured and at full speed, and jumps above Alexis, backflipping away and landing gracefully out of range. As Alexis unleashes her shockwave attack, Haleigh dives forward and rolls to position herself behind Delilah, who at that second lifts a shield in defense. As Delilah lowers her sheild, Haleigh stands from a kneeling position and looks around at the devastation. Central Park would never be the same.

The Woman in white reveals herself, and Haleigh observes quietly as Alexis is scolded and the Six are practically PRAISED... well, almost, anyway. what was this woman's angle? Haleigh looked round as the Wildpack began to show up... what, was she supposed to be shaking in her boots?

"Oh look... POP goes the weasel. We're so blessed, you've decided to come out of hiding. [turning to Alexis, her hands on her hips...] Is this what you left us for, you short-circuited strobe light? An OLD HAG who publicly demeans you?"

::addressing Blaze::

and I'm SURE the ever elegant Doctor Victoria feels the SAME WAY about YOU. The look of disgust she had every time she saw a physical reminder of how many times her beloved Christopher Victory stepped out on her? ....you're a bastard...in EVERY sense of the word and UNLIKE you, ALEXIS at least has a pedigree. Without Morgan...you'd be NOTHING...without the recent turn of events..you'd be DEAD. That reminds me....I have to pay Karen a little visit. I'd love for her to meet the woman whom her husband FIRST stepped out on her with.

::there was the connection between Karen and Malice right there....the LONG standing affair Christopher had been having ever since Morgan was born::

:: on to Haleigh::

Ah yes, ever the witty one i see....you should be so LUCKY to live to see my age, you walking can opener. There's a certain wisdom and power...not to mention CONFIDENCE that comes with age in a woman...."confidence" Haleigh, the LACK of which you've tried to comepsate for for a long time now.

That reminds me, Haleigh Davidoff...THANK you for abandoning Patrick [the super soldier] all those years ago. his grief and anguish made him a PRIME target to be molded and reshaped by MysTech. He certainly did a fine job of battering your friends, the dearly departed Sharon Kelly and that loud mouth Alycia Barnett....not to mention the witches, Spellbinder and Guardian. I took GREAT pleasure in REPROGRAMMING HIS MIND PERSONALLY.

::she grinned wickedly::

I suppose you all think yourselves on the verge of some "greatness" now that Alycia Barnett's little sob story about Master Mold and MysTech has caused us some unexpected "difficulties"...but rest assured SHE will be dealt with as well. Will you protect her as well as you protected Sharon Kelly?

::taking a moment to admire her own expensive , sexy , Versace outfit, The White Queen looks over at Delilah::

and you, the "newest" member of the team. Dont you get TIRED of "replacing" Spellbinder every time she "leaves" a team? How many times has it been now...2, 3? well, dont worry...this will be your LAST attempt at playing the hero my dear.

:: Looking around, she noticed Guardian was not readily seen::

The witch is the only one here whose mind is COMPLETELY closed to me. It's her Psi Screen. I cant be sure where she is, but no matter, I've got a surprise for her as well. In the meantime, let's give these over confident fools a test run shall we?

:: with a wave of her hand....the WILDpack were instantly upon the team....coming relentlessly and now with enhanced speed, strength AND durablility as well as the T.O virus...they would not be so easily dispatched. Malice , with Blackout in tow, managed to slip out of the immediate area of view as the team were now confronted with a most relentless distraction. laser and plasma cannons were being fired by soldiers of the WILDpack while others weided large , double edged swords , daggers and spiked staves.::

Foxfire

Blaze awaited a comeback from Blackout but obviously the mutant had won that verbal round. It felt great to be so vicious and cruel, kind of like Black Widow and Guardian. Slowly, the mutant climbed to her feet. She felt woozy but she would be fine thanks to Alison' healing position. And where did the Seer disappear to? It was difficult to detect her scent due to the raging fires and other damage spilled throughout the city.

No sound was even heard, not even the chirping of birds. With the new arrival of Malice's entourage, Foxfire carefully inspected each one. These men were sophisticated and equally equipped with futuristic technology. Which meant that Malice was either well to do or she worked for MysTech.

Her eyes narrowed at the woman's comment about the strained relationship between herself and Karen. "And what about you? Your nothing but a cunt dressed up in a bad outfit and honey you should try black, its slimmer especially with that bad case of cellulite."

She kept watch over the WILDpack while replying back to Malice. Certainty not amateurs indicating they would be more troublesome to bring down. Foxfire couldn't tape into her fire power just yet, it was still replenishing its sources. Which meant she would rely on her combat skills.

"Pedigree? Is that what your calling it these days...damn I would have labeled it inbreeding but what do I know right? All you have to show is a few catty comebacks and now we're to be ambushed by these men." She motioned to the soldiers surrounding the women. "I don't know how many soap opera's you watch but your in for a rude awakening, bitch."

And just like that Malice and Blackout were gone. A hive of soldiers came rushing toward Foxfire. Targeting the soldier with the diamond studded dagger she flamed behind him. Swiping the dagger from his gloved hand she slammed her fist into his jugular. His grunt of pain indicated she hit her target, his adam's apple. His beefy body stumbling back trying to breath. Striking a soldier behind her with a round house kick, Foxfire struck the knife in one of the soldier's abdomen. Giving an extra shove to push the blade in deeper. Spinning around she managed to steal the double edged swords. Whirling them around in her hands in a fan like motion. Fire burning in her aqua eyes.

Sprinting toward Delilah at full force with her swords held tightly in her hands. Lunging into the air she used Morningstar's body as a stepping stone. Her black boot springing from her friend's shoulder allowing her to propel her body into the air. Giving her the height she needed to lash out against the WILDpack. Her sword clanking with the others on her descent. Foxfire moved to stand back to back against Morningstar's.

At least this way they had a better view point with Black Widow and Guardian moving in.

Is that why you changed your last name from "King" to "Marble"? to distance yourself from the woman whom you felt too incompetent to live and the brother and sister who were too NEEDY?

You ARE as cold hearted and HARD as your namesake, Alison Marble. How long before you deem Foxfire too "implusive" to live, or MorningStar too "compasionate" to be effective....how long before you STOP trusting Black Widow again....after all....it was SHE who let Spellbinder perish with Master Mold in the Seige Perilous. Am i right to assume that it is only a matter of time before your team mates fall before YOUR wrath....as you continue to supress those feelings and struggle with the guilt of knowing IT'S YOUR FAULT that your BEST FRIEND Spellbinder and Senator Sharon Kelly are DEAD?

:: Guardian squared off with Malice...standing battle ready herself as the white queen got to her feet and began to speak ....speaking To and THROUGH Alison with those telling words.::

:: true enough the telepath couldnt breach Alison's psi shields...but something was happening to her on another level....her EMOTIONS. she felt bitterness at the thought of her mother....repulsion at the thought of her siblings.....sadness, guilt and loss at the thought of Morgan....and the feeling of being OVERWHELMED as Malice asked her how long before she would come to loathe the rest of the Six. This woman was suggesting that Alison was a ticking time bomb....destined to be just as deadly as Morgan was during the Inferno. Imagiomg had said the same thing before he possesed her......it was all coming to the surface as she felt herself loosing control::

:: Malice apparently was manipulating her EMOTIONS...something that not even a Psi Screen could protect against. ::

SHUT UP! SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!

:: Guardian screamed in a way she had never sounded before...as her voice boomed and reverberated.::

I'LL KILL YOU!!! RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!

:: Guardian lashes out, gesturing like Prue and unleashing a Telekinetic Bomb Blast one of the most deadly expressions of telekinetic power ...the LOUD sound of rushing wind and chimes is heard ALL THROUGH THE AIR of central park...followed by a roll of thunder as a massive, circular wave of power charges madly for Malice...it ravages the ground and even the AIR it touches/passes through. Without even realizing it though, Guardian played RIGHT into Malice's trap::

:: Malice watched with a glint in her opal blue eyes as Guardian's emotions were FINALLY unleashed in one powerfull burst. A witch's power was tied into her emotions and though Alison did a fantastic job at surpressing her emotions from her friends and family...Malice KNEW that this woman's heart was as black...if not BLACKER than her mother's...::

:: Guardian screamed and gave into the RAGE as she lashed out with a telekinetic attack that would have killed anyone else and RAVAGE any of the large buildings in NYC....but not so with Malice::

NO, precog, You'll do NOTHING OF THE SORT.

:: Malice swept her cape back and stepped forward...as a strange "crystalizing" sound was heard...she TRANSFORMED into her DIAMOND FORM...becoming a woman composed of the purest blue/white diamond from head to toe...her body gleamed and shimmered as she thrust out her hand in a STOP gesture and as the telekinetic bomb blast charged madly for her....it COLLIDED with another FIELD of energy....MALICE's power of "DEFLECTION" ...a power whose limits had yet to be defined.::

::the sound of two energies clashing and warping could be heard as Malice, in her diamond form PUSHED BACK against the oncoming onslaught with her now shift x class super strength and her deflection power...and in a truly shocking moment...she sends the telekinetic bomb blast BACK at Guardian with just as much vigor.::

Instead...I will see you do your worst...and RETURN IT TO YOU!

Haleigh put a hand over her heart, feigning remorse. If Malice's sharp words about Patrick hurt Haleigh, she didn't show it. Instead, she fired back... she knew a nerve when she'd hit one.

"You know what? You're RIGHT. I'm terribly sorry, that was incredibly rude of me to say... if its any consolation.... you appear to have aged well.... and i heard geriatric was IN this year... did YOU know you can totally 'pimp' your walker nowadays?? No LIE.... I saw one the other day with tennis balls on the feet and everything... I'm sure 'bling' for walkers and those cute little scooters is right around the corner."

Hales chided, as the Wildpack moved in. Haleigh might have laughed if she had the time. Plasma guns? Lasers? TO soldiers? Why even bother? These men are like generic, male, mass-produced, INFERIOR versions of me. Well... Mystech's getter closer to the perfect soldier.... but they still haven't QUITE got the right idea yet. Haleigh threw her knife at the nearest one-- it hit him dead in the forehead. She went on to jam every technologically advanced weapon in a mile radius. Swords and knives [save for the ones Blaze had taken] became incredibly dense, so much so that the Wildpack would no longer be STRONG enough to lift them. The man Haleigh'd impaled pulled the knife from his face and dropped it as it got heavier. Haleigh raised her eyebrows as the man continued to advance.

"Well.... that's a new one."

She says, as she blocked a right hook. she grabbed his left wrist as he attempted an uppercut, simultaneously taking his elbow and twisting it unnaturally, provoking a sickening snap as the elbow broke. Haleigh, throwing all courtesy to the wind, kicks the man solidly in the groin... hard enough to COLLAPSE the protective cup. He falls to his knees and Haleigh closes her hands around his neck... she analyses his body stats to determine the point of unconsciousness and how long she must continue to strangle him until actual death... but it is here she discovers something peculiar about the man she's fighting.... She holds the man to the ground and can FEEL his throat in her grip... but as she stares down at him, cannot get a read on his pulse or bloodflow... nor can she detect ANY sign of life from him at all. She searches the visual of him for holgraphic illusion... but he's not holographic either... yet at the same time... there's no radar target.... he's not REAL... what the fuck?? Haleigh tries to make sense of the fact that she's fighting something that doesn't exist... but as she becomes more and more sure that he's not real.... mind over matter kicks in... and the man disappears. Haleigh spins round to duck the attack of another. She searches for ANY sign of life in this battle... other than her teammates, Malice, and Blackout.... there is nothing. And like a sleeping person realizing that a dream is indeed simply a DREAM... Haleigh feels control of the fight shift from Malice to herself... and even as she fends off the wildpack that doesn't exist, she cant help but derive hope. A different wildpack man takes Haleigh from behind, and she reacts instinctively, smashing her head back into his and using leverage and brute strength to pull his grasp away from her and break his wrists.

"You're not real! You're not REAL! YOU ARENT REAL!" A second man fades from view... "Hey! Foxfire... Morningstar... they aren't real.... their MIND game pawns! ILLUSIONS! The woman in white is MINDFUCKING us!"

Back to back with Morningstar, Blaze slammed her fist into one of the WILDpack's men. "Tell me what you got, D?" She asked, inquiring what the blonde saw. Dropping down to one knee she viciously swipped another man in the knee cap, dislimbing it. A cruel smile washing over her lips. But the limb began to regenerate so suddenly as Foxfire gasped.

"No!" She stood up again but this time the same well armed man struck Blaze in the mouth. Her head jerking backwards at the stining sensation. She was becoming frustrated here, she was lucky he didn't break her jaw. Turning her head to the side she spat a mouthful of blood through his eyes. Straightening her arm she impaled him through the heart.

As she moved closer she didn't find a heartbeat...no sound. Blaze's superior hearing never failed her in the slightest. But due to the slaughter of battle it wasn't easy. Blood seeped through the bastard sword. Was he dead? No, he wasn't. Almost like watching a movie on rewind the blood slide back inside. His bulky arms grabbed Foxfire by the throat, squeezing the air from her lungs. The more frantic Blaze fought the worse the illusion became. Wrapping her arms around his waist she squeezed with all her might. But the soldier's superior strength depleting her air. Raising her palm she unleashed a massive fire bomb that sprang into him. It struck his upper chest blowing it up. Foxfire tumbled backwards landing in the murky ground. Coughing and gasping for air the imprint of fingers laced around her throat.

Distracted by her own battle, Black Widow's alarming words filled her senses. Looking up at the soldiers surrounding them. They were an illusion? How was that possible? If it was an illusion how was pain possible? Then her mind traveled to other telepaths and realized the ultimate brain power they possessed. Getting to her feet she turned to overhear Guardian's rageful warrior cry. It sent chills down her spine, it was so predatory so blood thirsty. Foxfire sensed her friend was pushed over the edge.

She saw Blackout being tossed out like a newpaper and even Blaze had to chuckle. "Good." She commented, but the alarming chimes in the air worried the mutant. Looking around she saw Malice transform herself. Her eyes going wide with horror, "oh shit." She turned to Morningstar, knowing her friend felt the same horror she did.

Blaze felt her heart sink spotting Guardian's power signature rushing toward the team. Her widow's peak was already persirating from the battle but now this. Reaching into her right breast pocket to pull out an ear bud. Placing inside her ear to reach Black Widow, Guardian, and now Morningstar.

"Delilah, is there any way you can deflect that sound to lesson the telekinetic bomb blast?"

Raising her dusty hands but froze, any sort of fire shield would be useless. The blast would blow that fire across the city speading the danger level. Just as Foxfire addressed MS she automatically raised a pulsating green shield, protecting them.

Blackout's voice rang through the battle with Foxfire narrowing her eyes.

"I wish Morgan was here to bash her mouth in or better yet...break her jaw."

An idea formed in her mind, "How about calling for Ororo?" She asked, unsure herself what to do. Telekinesis wasn't her area at all.

::Guardian sneered with contempt...still reeling from the emotional manipulation and not fully aware of it. but The Six were out of the immediate danger, yet Guardian seemed unconcerned about the fact that her telekinetic bomb blast was now rampaging across central park, smashing cars, benches, trees all with EXPLOSIVE effect and when it collided with any BUILDING near by..there would be massive property damage and fatalities...but all Guardian seemed to care about was MURDERING Malice and Blackout now as the Six were now able to fully observe what was happening.::

Foxfire and Morningstar awaited instructions from Black Widow, the other team leader of the Six. The mutant saw the power signature targeting them like a heat seeking missile. Stepping back more, her adrenaline surging through her veins. Glancing back to Delilah who shared the same horrified look as they did.

Guardian's voice managed to triumph over the raging whirling sounds. Blaze noticed the cold and collected look written across her bewitching face. It was obvious Guardian lost control of her emotions and lashed out without clearly preparing herself.

In one awesome but clever move, the team had switched places. Foxfire frowned as she realized the new ground the group was placed. Her emerald eyes inspecting what Malice and Blackout would do next. Of course the Metamorph already had a plan of defense.

Foxfire was becoming more and more irritated by Blackout's comments. Trying to bad mouth the team, who the hell was she?

<< the damage to central park and surrounding area FAR outweighed any possible worth of victory in this fight. Malice had revealed just how adept and powerfull a telepath she was, having suitably distracted the team with a substantial telepathic illusion long enough to unsettle and unnerve Guardian and cause her to lash out impulsively...escalating her efforts to the point of drawing MORE scrutiny to the team as well as endangering them all>>

<< Guardian, whose heart and emotions had been touched by Malice's taunting, cruel remarks and empathic manipulation was now beside herself with rage. It was HER Telekinetic bomb blast that was now responsible for some casualties and massive property damage. police , fire and rescue workers were closing in all around as well as media...>>

<< Blackout and Malice had managed to turn the tide of what has been a most hard fought battle, allowing themselves the opportunity to escape and leaving the six with an even bigger problem. IF Guardian COMPLETED this spell...of summoning the Demon Storm...she would unleash a horrific demonic creature that would not stop until it consumed its fill of matter/energy/souls>>

The others caught on to the illusion and it eventually faded from view... but unfortunately, something more terrible held its stead.... and with Malice's deflection, came charging for the group. Trees in front of them were completely destroyed, and Haleigh had only time enough to step back twice before Alison teleblinked them out of harms way.

Appearing bhind Alison in a triangular pattern, Haleigh looked at the others... Alison had obviously lost control... and the actions she was taking were endangering not only innocent bystanders, but THEMSELVES as well... Haleigh saw that this particular faceoff would have to be a draw... as Central Park was fucked up beyond all recognition and things were only getting MORE and MORE violent and chaotic. Haleigh put up hologram around 'ground zero' of the battle, obscuring the lot of them from the curious eyes of a now gathering crowd. It was time to leave... Haleigh knew better than to push it now... a retreat would be the wisest move for ALL of them.... but Alison was so hellbent...

"Alison NO! This is ENOUGH... we need to re-evaluate our tactics... ALISON??"

Haleigh seemed disappointed with the response... She called the only person she could think of as she asked Blaze and Morningstar to assist.

"Zach? Come Quickly. Blaze.... put out all the fire... Morningstar... be prepared to GET US OUT of here, please."

Zach appeared.... and Haleigh pointed to Alison... he seemed to know what to do, as he reached out a hand and put it on Alison's shoulder. His eyes began to glow red as he attempted to drain some of the anger... and calm the vehement witch down enough to convince her to retreat. Haleigh eyed Malice... they would be seeing each other again... and next time... Haleigh would be better prepared.
