<< inside of Illustra, it was easy to see the increased activity on the streets far below. news crews from all major networks, along with police, fire and other officials were converging on the federal courthouse and all that could be talked about was the apparent escape of Victor Klein and the battle between "unknown assailants" and "super powered beings." it was suggested that the mutant menace and threat of superhuman activity was growing at a point that could no longer be ignored>>
<< mean while, the group was gathered in Morgan's as they stood around the scrying glass. it was time for them to try to find Pipeline before HE lead MysTech straight to THEM. and all of this was just a prelude to the massive critical mass that awaited them and the city.>>

:: Crossing her arms along her chest, Alexis shifted her weight from one foot to the other. Looking from the scrying glass to the others, she simply shook her head at the situation. If MysTech wanted attention, they certainly got it. ::
"Where is Alison?"
:: Glancing around the room, it was strange that Alison hadn't shown up at the courthouse, but what struck Alexis as unusual was the fact that Alison hadn't showed up since the press about what happened AT the courthouse. Pressing her lips together, she looked to Morgan knowing she had an idea of where the precog was.. ::
"We need her powers now more than ever."
:: MysTech wasn't nieve; they knew the capabilities of the six. They could easily have technology that could block Morgan's scrying. But then again, they could of come up with something to block Alison's precog as well....MysTech was constantly growing; who knew what they had up their sleeves these days. ::

:: Cameron stood around the scrying glass with the others as Alexis' words were word for word what Prophet had been thinking at the moment. He hadn't seen her in awhile and he was wondering if she was okay. Had Pipeline already got her? Vivica had promised that she would protect the Senator as well as Morgan, Alycia and Alison. If something would have happened to her he would have certainly heard something. ::
"I am wondering the same thing myself. I haven't seen her in awhile.. I hope she is okay..."
:: Turning his direction to the window that overlooked what seemed the entire skyline of New York City he saw the mass of people that seemed to be flooding the streets. The chaos that ensued this morning had everyone in a frenzy. People wanted answers as to what had happened at the courthouse and with Alexis, Cameron and Morgan being at the top of many of the New York Socialite lists and had most likely been seen earlier at the courthouse soon people would be looking to them for answers. ::
"It was just a sloppy job for Mystech. Morgan is right things don't add up. They seemed crazed and all about Victor. Maybe he is more powerful than we gave him credit before. Whatever it is somehow I think this is all tied to Jasmine. We didn't have these problems until we got involved with HER..."
:: He rolled his eyes with intest distaste for Blaze's sister. If she would have stayed out of the lives of all of them they would not be in the mess they were right now. She was a shady character and the fact that Haleigh seemed to be protecting her made him sick. What was this game of intelligence between the two of them. It made him nauseous. ::

<< Morgan watched the mystic lens as she gestured over it. a soft chiming melody played as sparkling energies flowed and the face of the lens glowed and shimmered slowly....images flowed around the lens as its view shifted from one area to another>>
<< as Alexis and Cameron spoke, Morgan didnt respond. the lens allowed her to see ANYTHING ANYWHERE...and thus far, there was no mortal means to prevent that. Soon...a pronounced chime signaled that she had locked onto a target>>
well...I've found the "cell" that the mystech "black guards" and other goons were coming from in this recent attack. its an abandonned car parts warehouse across town on the lower east side. its seemingly harmless on the outside but a forcefield and optical sensory entry code are required for access and the interior is furnished with mystech technology. they must be hiding something of EXTREME value in there.
<< pausing and turning around>>
as for Alison, I'm not sure where she is. but even without being a precog like she is, i have a feeling that we'll be hearing from her soon. She told me that she would be where she was needed most today.
<< the scrying glass hummed a haunting melody as the lens shifted from a pink shimmer to a blue. a sleek black mini van with mystech's logo as zooming along a plotted course....to the office of Senator Sharon Kelly>>
well...there's our cue....we can meet them right at the front door courtesy of my discs.
<<but before they could go...one of morgan's landline phones began to ring. it rang and rang...soon her fax machine began to ring. her computer logged itself on...and the technology in her appartment began to come to life....the sound was very eerie.>>
those sounds.....that output..it must be PIPELINE!!
<<immediately outside the floor to ceiling panoramic windows..."army eyes" appeared-- these were loating drones that packed enough concussive power to smash through mountains and would lock on to their target's bio signature to chase them down to the end.>>
<< a stream of energy began to flow through the computer screen in Morgan's office as electricity crackled in the air.>>
I didnt...raise my mystic shields when we entered the building...
<< looking over at Haleigh with anguish>>
HALEIGH....i thought you said Illustra was PROTECTED against this sort of attack!?
<< but before that could be answered, Pipeline himself appeared and the room was now flooded with black guards and floating drones that began to attack the team in close quaters. Two of the guards rushed Morgan tackling her over the couch. a drone deployed a carbonium coil whip that smacked Alexis in the face before wrapping around her and constricting her body with increasing pressure as more whips of the same construction began to wrap around her arms and legs. Meanwhile another pair of black guards accosted Haleigh with magnetic flare batons..firing blasts at her attempting to immobilize/shut her body's systems down and render her inert and two drones began to close in on Delilah, firing black light beams at her. Prophet could see that the army eyes outside were preparing to smash into the top floor of illustra, completely destroying it and causing the tower to fall....crushing hundreds of unsuspecting employees and guests far below. it was up to him to deal with THEM while the rest of the team dealt with their immediate threats. Meanwhile, pipeline had slipped out of site just as fast as he had appeared.>>

[ Delilah watched the two drones come at her. Though the situation in general was not a pretty one, she only felt mildly threatened by the floating balls of circuitry. As they began to fire at her, she threw her hands out in front of her, fingers spread, ready to absorb the light rays and throw them back at the drones in the form of photon blasts. She got more than she bargained for, however.
As the black light touched her she was thrown forcefully backwards, the shock spreading to every cell of her body. She rolled onto her stomach as she tried to get up. ]
"Oh, yeah, that's going to leave a mark..."
[ Her mutant powers might be affected by the black lights, but Delilah was a woman prepared for all occasions. Drawing her sidearm she put a bullet into each of the drones. ]

"HUSP!"
** Bolting upright in her secure locked down cell, Jasmine looked around curiously while her heartbeat slammed against her chest. Her thought dehydrated from vigorous hours of surgery. How long had she been out? Placing her right palm to her cheek, Jasmine blinked her wintery green irises when she noticed the lack of attire she wore from the OR. Sighing she spotted the usual white cloth covering small portions of her body (think Resident Evil). She turned her head to yelp in pain from the wires attached to her body. Pulling the wires free she screamed in pain. Various monitors flatlining. Turning to get up, her knees crumbled causing her to collapse on the icy tile floor with a thud. **
"Yes, the trial of Victor Klein is a war path!"
** She looked up to see a small plasma screen television in her right hand corner of her cell. Her mouth a gap from shock and surprise. She thought she had destroyed her 'father' but apparently it were a clone. She saw split images of the SIX in a gateway vehicle. She struggled to push her small frame up but the aftermath of the drugs altered that attempt. Climbing to her feet from the small bed post she stood at her small 5'8 height. Sucking in a breath she brushed her hand against her stitches, which were healed. Strange. Cracking her neck from the side she felt oddly energized from her sleep. She required clothing and she knew this cell carried them. **
** She also knew she had to find the others, especially if she were to prove a Fielding could change their leave. Securing a pair of low cut mudd jeans and a baby blue tank top she was ready to depart. Jasmine's mutant abilities allowed her to keep at a steady temperature without the cold bothering her. **
** Her now covered boots tapping into the floor firmly as she approached the door. She smiled with a grin at the locks. Really, how elementally! Jasmine was a skilled hacker she could get into everything including the White House, the FBI, you name it she hacked it. Nodding the small device on the wall she froze it, opening the small tile door. Admiring the wiring of it all. "Mmmm, fancy but not good enough." Snapping the green and black wires together her automatic door hissed as it opened. Quickly puling her thick brunette locks into a pony tail, Frost moved from her cell. She would transport to NYC....somehow....someway. Whether the SIX wanted to admit it or not, they would need her help. And for Jasmine it would be a challenge but like all Fieldings she welcomed them. Adding that to the wintery weather her journey would be somewhat easy. Penetrating Illustra would pose a problem but if all else fails find her father. He was hers! That same vengeance Morgan felt for Christopher, Jasmine felt. She wasn't sure why but she knew she needed to help these strangers. She wouldn't reveal her dream of Blaze, that would be her little secret...for now. Besides who would believe her? **
** Leaving behind a snow clone, Jasmine escaped Haleigh's building. Now outside as the storm pounded her with snow and ice she welcomed it. A breath of fresh of air. She needed a quick transportation. Thrusting her arms forward she created a metallic ice slide that elongated the further she traveled. Perhaps the roof would be a better approach? Her clothing rippled in the icy wind as she slide further into her destination. She would arrive soon but the question was would the members of the Six accept her help or kill her? Another challenge Jasmine faced but what the hell, right? She died once and she saw Blaze. She had nothing to lose except dealing with a group of unhappy individuals. Besides the Six, this was Frost's battle too. And you know what they say about two peas in a pod. They're one. **

:: Thinking fast on his feet Cameron threw out his hands as he quickly erected a strong telekinetic field outside the whole building of Illustra making sure that there was extra protection at the top of the building. The field was invisible to the public. That wasn't going to hold them off for long. He would have to take greater action than just a field of telekinetic protection. Sighing he looked at Morgan before apologizing quickly and heading into battle. ::
"Morgan. I will replace your windows! Sorry!"
:: On Prophet's mental command the huge panoramic windows shattered into a million shards as he hurled them towards the army eyes with intense speed before taking a leap off the side of the building himself using his own telekinetic power to stay afloat and essentially fly in the air. He was impressed with his own fluidity as his telekinetic powers were much stronger since sealing off his telepathic abilities. Like one power was compensating for the other. Looking at the drones they soon found all of them encased in a box composed of telekinetic energy. Taking mental hold of the box he spun around in the air a few times before super throwing the box with the army eyes a great distance towards the Herbert River. ::

Haleigh rotated her arm in the shoulder cuff as Morgan finished healing it... she gave a slight smile of gratitude and pulled her shirt back over her shoulder. She found herself next in Morgan's apartment, and considered suggesting they go to CI for better security... but realized Morgan had come back here to consult her scrying glass. Haleigh glanced round in reticence, feeling a little uneasy. She knew her resources were beginning to deplete... and once her MANPOWER was completely tapped... the only way to get more would be to release the lockdown on CI... but that would make Jasmine slightly more vunerable... it was a toss up. Jasmine was obviously a major target here... but then so were the rest o the Six. What to do...
Haleigh was about to ask Alexis what TIME she'd left Alison... to try and determine when she was last seen... her absence from the days events were indeed alarming... it was unlike the seer to be away for long... what if she was in trouble? Morgan stepped in with confident, reassuring words, and Haleigh glanced out the panoramic windows briefly, nodding to herself. Alison must be taking care of something equally important. Haleigh walked over to Morgan's side, unable to see over the tall blonde's shoulder, and watched the scrying glass in the same measured silence she'd been maintaining since they arrived. Haleigh recognized the van.... it was the one she marked with a tracking device as it left the courthouse, after it had failed to kidnap Alycia.
The phone rings.... and Haleigh looks up and locks eyes with Morgan. It rings again and she looks directly at it... it rings once more and Haleigh finally springs into action, diving for the phone and ripping it clean out of the wall. The fax rings, and Haleigh's eyes dart towards it as she gets to her knees. It explodes, sending shards of debri a few feet in every direction. Haleigh locks eyes with Morgan once more, at a loss for words momentarily.
"It usually IS... but I sent all available field operatives to help the NYPD clean up the courthouse crisis! With Clandestine on lockdown, most of my force was unavailable... everyone of my men scattered throughout the city abandoned their posts to help protect the courthouse and assist us in escaping! There's NO ONE in Illustra's security control room to arm the systems to full alert and shut Pipeline out of the landlines and DSL networks!"
It seems as soon as Haleigh says his name Pipeline appears, and with lots of reinforcements. Haleigh is distracted by two gaurds who seem to know how to hit her the hardest. One reaches out with his magnetic flare baton and Haleigh conjures a HUGE, thick iron wall, which immediately mows the gaurd down, attracting the baton and following it to the floor, crushing the weapon and deactivating it, and crushing the gaurd also. The second gaurd had a jump on her, hitting her over the back of crown with the end of the baton, activating it and causing Haleigh to collapse to the floor, writhing in agony. She felt like her skin was crawling and her veins were visibly bulging. Her cardiovascular and respitory systems prepared for shutdown. Haleigh finally released the lockdown order, sending up an instantaneous and urgent distress call. Jasmine would still be more safe than any of them, for it would likely take Pipeline a while to find out exactly where she was, or at least, long enough for Haleigh to be able to move her now that she'd been taken off life support systems and her condition had stabilized. Little did Haleigh know the girl would be waking up shortly and coming RIGHT into the line of fire.
Haleigh was just about to lose consciousness... her vision was tunneled and thing were in shades of gray.... she was fighting to stay awake but covered in a cold sweat and losing strength quickly. Zach appeared in the nick of time, right behind the guard. He wrapped his arms around the man, grabbing his jaw with one hand and slitting his throat with the knife he clutched in the other. He quickly deactivated the baton with gunfire and knelt by Haleigh with concern. The room erupted in the second gunfight of the day, as Haleigh's reinforcements began filling into the room and systematically eliminating the threats that assaulted each of the six.
Haleigh sat up, breathing heavily and leaning into Zach. Her vision beginning to return, she looked around frantically.
Zach:"Baby, what's wrong??"
Haleigh:"WHERE THE HELL IS PIPELINE?!?!"
She yelled, calling attention to the fact he'd slipped from view.

:: Flying to the ground from the rough hit to her face, before Alexis could even react, she felt the coiled arms spin her body until it was contricted around her waist. Grunting from air, veins began to visably be seen in her forehead and around her eyes as she struggled to get free; but the more she struggled, the tighter the coils gripped. Feeling the coils wrap around her arms and legs, they lifted Alexis into the air, slamming her into the ceiling above; plaster began to rain down everywhere. ::
"UGH!!"
:: Closing her bloodshot eyes, Alexis couldn't even breathe at this moment. Managing to pull together all her strength, her body began to glow a dull blue when suddenly, a shockwave of energy shot from her body; the concussive force forcing the coils from her body enough for Alexis to wiggle her way out weakly. While on the ground, she watched as the coils sprung back into action, heading back toward Alexis. Lifting her hand, a wave of energy smashed into the coils, she speed and force that of a freight train. The coils went flying back across Morgan's livingroom, slamming into one of the walls afar. Circuts began to spark as Alexis drained the remaining energy from the electronic whips. ::
"God damn..fucking--"
:: Bitching under her breath, Alexis pushed herself up off the ground looking around to the others. Seeing they were okay, she craned her neck back, stretching her tense muscles. Hearing Haleigh, Alexis began to look around seeing that Pipeline did in fact slip away. Shaking her head, Alexis turned to Haleigh. ::

** Surfing through the blizzard like conditions Jasmine hurried along past New York City's rooftops. Her own physical being was enshrouded from the harsh winds spreading the snow around like a tornado. And the lack of sun only caused the temperature to decrease in warmth, a perfect opportunity for Jasmine to aide these strangers. **
** She knew the possibility of gaining access of Illustra was one in a billion. She memorized the schematic the building from Haleigh's designer. What concerned her was Morgan's magick, the wintery mutant knew her power record. Jasmine knew she was on the top shit list for the demon sorceress. Instead she'd assist outside the building. **
** Her aqua eyes glowing brightly in the snowy weather. She stood tall and straight as blasts of water and ice sprang from her palms to shoot a bridge across another rooftop. Stopping across the other building she noticed several citizens battling it down by the entrance of Illustra. Yet she had yet to identify Spell, Black, Shock, Guard, or Morning. Crouching down silently her eyes zoomed in to target a group near the stairs. **
** Of course Morgan's scrying glass would alarm the other members of the Six but more importantly would shock them when they'd see her next move. Waving her hands the snow turned and pelted the other enemies aggressively in the face, supplying a decent distraction. Twisting her body on the rooftop she spun gracefully in the air as she free fell down fifty stories. Outstretching her arm a shard of ice exploded as she landed on her feet in a crouched position. Placing two fingers inside her mouth she whistled sharply as she backed up, setting a trap. **
"Oh boys...."
** She taunted as they stopped to see Frost. Hiding her hands behind her back she locked eyes with them. Her boots firmly planted as they approached her. Moving quicker they walked right into Jasmine's trap. Stepping onto the thin sheet of ice they smashed through to drop into sub zero water temperatures she had created. Pulling out a pair of ice sais she whirled them around. This would hopefully get Morgan and her posse's attention without them becoming paranoid of an attack from Frost. Having the two enemies destroyed her ice formed further to cover the small round hole that once caved in. **
** Noticing several civilians running from the debris Jasmine rushed through the snow. Traces of it sticking to her tank top but not affecting her. Sliding her body easily across the pavement she grabbed some co -- workers along when she was blind sided by a third goon. He struck her directly in the lung...a sore spot for the mutant who was knocked down roughly. The other workers running free as Jasmine gasped for air. The goon moving like lightning hitting her in the abdomen. Walking around her when she looked up with a growl. Her eyes morphing into a chilling yellow tint as she opened her palm and a massive wave of fire swept him up like an exploding inferno as his screams echoed through the screaming wind. Burning flesh filled the air as Jasmine looked stunned at her palm. Her eyes fading to the normal coloring. Emotion is what drove the mutant powers to accelerate but Jasmine hadn't figured this out. **
** Helping more people she liked eyes with Cameron. She stared at him with a quizzical look. Turning away she sprinted around the back of Illustra spotting more goons. Lunging into the air she struck one of them in the eyeball with the end of her heel. She wasn't aware of Pipeline and that lack of knowledge would place her in the line of vulnerability. **

<< Morgan soon emerged from behind her sectional....holding one limp black guard by the neck. the other lay on the ground, dead...its neck broken as well. she dropped the second one, with a scowl on her face....and exhaled with annoyance....as this initial skirmish seemed to be over and everyone was recovering.>>
is....everyone allright??
<< she looked at her panoramic window ....which was basically non existent thanks to Cameron. a necessary move to save the building from the army eyes which had been hurled into the herbert river by the mutant. but now there was the problem of progressive depressurizing in the loft. a soft alarm sounded and now the scrying glass pulsated as well.>>
Pipeline....where is he!? <<she turned to see the scrying glass and rushed to it>>
he traveled through illustra's DSL networks! he's taken ALYCIA!!
<<and there was something else! Morgan's eyes widened>>
JASMINE KLEIN! she's in the building
<< thunder rumbled in the air>>
why is SHE here!? <<Morgan shrieked>>
she must be responsible for this....SHE must have been the one to orchestrated her father's rescue!
<< thunder crashes as Morgan teleports via disc RIGHT DOWN to the main floor to confront Jasmine...with lethal force if necessary. Haleigh and the others knew that this couldnt have happened at a worse time. with Alycia now in the custody of MysTech, and the security of Illustra being compromised thanks to Pipeline's internal disruption of the networks, the group was between a rock and a hard place. HALEIGH would no doubt try to protect Jasmine from Morgan but the REST of the group would not likely have the same feeling and would probably side with MORGAN on the feeling that Jasmine was behind this.>>
<< Morgan appeared in front of Jasmine and was instantly upon her>>

:: Cameron jumped right back into the middle of the Penthouse as he was about to notify the group that he had seen Jasmine at the top of the building but no sooner as he was about to speak was the sound of the scrying glass. Creating an invisible telekinetic shield where the windows used to be to keep the pressure the same, he saw images of Jasmine in the Scrying Glass. Here come the fireworks. ::
"I saw her on the roof! She was.. fighting off drones..."
:: It was too late. Morgan was gone and right on top of Jasmine as they could see. Morgan would not back down from this and he really couldn't blame her at all. Was the whole helping Cameron and the others fend off attacks from Mystech just a ploy in order to gain leverage. His friendship and dealings with Haleigh had taught him that people shift alleigances faster than they change their underwear and at this moment he didn't trust Jasmine as far as he could throw her. ::

:: Sharon Kelly was in her large, posh office basically taking refuge. Clandestine agents were guarding key points of entry. everything was happening so fast....thanks to pipeline the trial of victor klein had been all but nullified and now Sharon found herself boxed in...possibly sold out by fellow colleagues in congress who were in Mystech's back pocket. as an outspoken and steadfast advocate of mutants/meta human's rights not to mention an OPPENENT of the rampant global commerical power/political clout of mystech. it was something that had not gone unoticed by either side involved.::
:: She sat at her desk..with a look of grave concern. sirens were in the air outside...and media frenzy as well as crowd throngs were in the street. the court house which was not too far away was a total wreck. blood, bodies, violence marred the once regal halls of the courthouse. all known security measures taken were totally breached by the new threat of Pipeline, Mystech's LATEST "pride and joy" when it came to deadly agents.::
:: Sharon knew full well that she and Alycia were targets...they had narrowly escaped the brutality of the Super Soldier several months back and were rescued by Morgan and the other women of The Six. But this time it seemed different. MysTech was striking far faster and in a more unexpected/covert fashion....it seemed to be a tremendously clever effort. it couldnt just be because of Victor..Mystech had NEVER directly ATTACKED a federal officer or building ...especially during a high profile trial..nor would they have engaged in such a sloppy rescue effort.::
:: Sharon got up and began to pace back and forth slowly in her office...wearing a sophisticated, tailored black donna karan blazer and donna karan black pencil skirt along with four inch heeled black leather high heeled pumps. her blonde hair was down and she looked very business like...befitting of a senator as respected as she.::
:: the uneasy quiet and calm afforded her by the clandestine agents was short lived....as her phone began to ring. her computer screen began to flicker and her fax machine began to sound off as if preparing to recieve a transmittal. Sharon looked over with a curious glint in her blue eyes...unaware that this was a prelude to a personal attack.::
::the guards outside had not yet been briefed by Haleigh about Pipeline either. As she neared the fax machine....a powerfull burst of electrical feed back shocked Sharon and sent her falling to the floor in a stunned state...the sound of energy filled the air as pipeline and two black guards appeared in a field of electric blue energy. Sharon was unable to get up ...or to reach her panic button to summon Clandestine for help.....as she trembled before being knocked out by one of the black guards...and as Pipeline converted her and the rest of his passengers into binary code patterns..they "transmitted" out of the office just as fast as they had appeared. Now sharon AND alycia had been taken captive by Mystech.:

:: now, after an indeterminant amount of time and travel through hardlines and the "information superhighway", Alycia was reconstituted in to her human form and now under the power of mystech. the "transmittal" jaunt left her feeling sick, weak and disoriented as she awakened on the floor in a cold, dark cell. she immediately felt the strain of shakles on her wrists and ankles. she was shackled to the wall...and as her vision cleared...she was met with PAIN as she struck across the jaw::
UGH!
:: a large black man appeared...in a mystech commander general's uniform.::
Commander Riley: welcome , Ms. Barnett. You'll forgive us for not providing you with a more comfortable setting, but considering the trouble you've caused over the years and the fact that you NEVER keep your nose out of the affairs of your BETTERS, we thought we'd take this time to show you just what we think of you.
::gritting her teeth as she glared back at him::
Alycia:: :: half way chuckling:: Rick Riley. why am i NOT surprised. :: she struggled to look over:: i see you've got your usual company of black guards. but really now, I'm not Spellbinder or any of the Six...i have no powers, so why must you have me hemmed up like this?? especially a man of YOUR size. surely you could handle lil ol me.....
<< Alycia smirked and laughed...implying the cowardice and over precaution of the general in his detainment of her>>
Commander Riley: laugh it up, Barnett. You wont be so definate once we've BEATEN you into submission. You may not be a mutant, meta human or super powered individual, but you and that bitch Sharon Kelly are just as dangerous. BOTH of you have poked and prodded into our affairs, gotten in our way and hindered us for doing what we need to do. Crashing Victor Klein's trial was merely a means to an end....we used our operative PIPELINE to circumvent Haleigh Davidoff's Clandestine Inc AND side step Spellbinder, MorningStar, Shockwave and the others just to get YOU. While our ultimate goal of the moment is close to fruition, I'ts time to shut you up...for GOOD.
:: at the commander's gesture...a black guard comes forward and prods Alycia with an energy baton..and immediately jolts her body with PAINFULL continuous blasts of electrical energy. Alycia's screams are heard echoing through the dark underground halls of the cell under the abandonned ware house::

Zach helps Haleigh to her feet, as she massages the back of her head where she was hit. Before Haleigh has time to respond, Morgan has gone to confront Jasmine, and the rest of the group is left to absorb the fact the Alycia has been kidnapped RIGHT out from under there noses. Cameron showed SOME progress towards Jasmine, vocalizing that they couldnt allow Morgan to kill her... but Haleigh knew all too well he was still on the 'hating her' bandwagon. Haleigh shook her head.
"That GIRL is a godforsaken PLAGUE!"
She rasped angrily, even as she made a mad dash to go save her. She could only ask herself what she'd gotten into, as she ran for the panoramic [nonexistant] windows and DOVE off the balcony. Zach looks around at the group, not at all worried the woman he loved had just jumped from over 100 stories high.
"Such a dramatic move.... she forgets I can get her there more easily."
He says softly, as she winks and fades from view. He reappears on Alexis' other side.
"Anyone want a ride downstairs?"
Meanwhile, Haleigh orients herself as she falls, so that her back is to the ground and she faces the Illustra tower. She fires a weapon that looks much like a shotgun into the next floor she passes, and a four pronged hook with a rope attached to it projects from the barrel. She hangs on tight as the rope slows her decent, about twenty stories above the ground. Seconds later her feet hit the pavement, and she wastes no time rounding the building for the front doors. She can see a menacing Morgan bearing down on Jasmine through the glass.
Haleigh bursts through the front double doors in a flurry of movements that is so fast she looks more like a blur than a being. Haleigh is upon Morgan before anything physical can happen between the two of them, and her normally soft, commanding tone is now stressed out and pleading as she pulls Morgan away from Frost.
"PLEASE! Morgan.... leave the girl for LATER! We dont have time for this! Alycia has been swiped right out from under us and I just got word that Sharon Kelly is missing TOO! My guards at her office her the phone ring and when they went in to check on her..... she was GONE! I fear Pipeline has her too... As angry and DISAPPOINTED as I am with Jasmine for DELIBERATELY DISOBEYING a DIRECT ORDER... [she says, as her eyes level on Jasmine with a furious glare] We haven't time to deal with the girl. We must RESCUE Alycia and Sharon, and every second we delay could be their last... they are worth more DEAD than alive to Mystech! PLEASE Morgan, lets go... we have to GO!"
Zach arrives in the background, along with all who accepted his offer. He pulls Jasmine off to the side with a stern look and a strong arm. He wasn't being as gentle with her as Haleigh always was... primarily because he saw what Jasmine was inadvertantly doing to Haleigh.
Zach:"She's upset with you... and understandably so. She's trying to protect you but you make it increasingly difficult. Your father's trial has been disrupted, as he was sprung from police custody. District Attourney Alycia Barnett and Senator Sharon Kelly have already gone missing... and YOU are high on the list of next likely to disappear. If I were YOU... I would tread VERY carefully here."

** Pillows of snow fell all around Illustra as the battle seemed to calm momentarily. Pushing through the back entrance Jasmine was stunned to find this way unguarded. Stepping lightly her green eyes scanned back and forth when suddenly a chime echoed off in the walls as a chill sailed up her spine. Shivering at the small currents of icy wind when out of no where Morgan appeared rather hostile. Keeping her feet planted on the marble flooring she strained her neck to peer into those violet eyes of the mighty blonde. But unlike before Jasmine was cool and collected. Her arms were beside her body giving off a non hostile approach. Pushing her lips together she immediately commented on why she was here. **
"I'm here to aide you and your friends. Believe it or not. You and I got off to a rocky start and I apologize for the inconvenience and I'll undo any past mistakes. However I'm here to help you find the Senator, I saw the outbreak on the news while recuperating. I'm on your side...and your magick will validate my claims or if you have a Telepath on your team that will also appear true. I'm willing to prove my loyalty to you Morgan...you are my half sibling. I'll give you a shot. I'm doing this for you, myself, and for our sister."
** She paused when Haleigh jumped down running over. Jasmine glanced over at the blonde for a second as she spoke to Spellbinder. Zack appeared pulling her aside as he informed her of the events at hand. She nodded respectfully until she placed her hand on his arm freezing the muscle to slip her arm free. **
"Please...do not touch me, it only provokes me. I understand you care and love for Haleigh. And I mean no harm or added stress but this team NEEDS my help. I have a vast knowledge of whose possibly behind this and where they might actually have taken the Senator and the lawyer."
** Stepping forward she crossed her arms across her chest. Her voice giving off a sudden chill to it due to Haleigh's "girl" comment. **
"Look I'm continuing on this journey where Blaze left off. She WANTS me to continue with this team...although I'm not sure why. I died...and she came to me. She instructed me to help and to also..." Her eyes moved to Morgan, "leave you alone..and I'll comply but you have a crisis on your hands and I have a part in this! My father nearly killed me and that automatically entitles me to find him and destroy him. I've lived on the edge all my life and I'm not expecting pity. I'm helping either way...here or there. Sure it would be a nice cover to deceive you but have my pupils dilated or my heartbeat increased, broke a sweat? No. What I'm saying is true but know this..."
** She turned to Haleigh with a cold and calculating look that rippled with an icy frost. "I'm far from a girl I'm the same age as Blaze and in fact I'm the older twin. Not only do I possess my own powers but Foxfire's as well....I become her whenever infuriated. Blaze is gone and we can't undo the changes. But damnit I will fight for her memory and see that she did not die in vain. If I could switch places I would but I can't. Life is fucked up like that. I came here to help you Morgan....take it or leave it. It would be a wise decision to take it. But if not so be it."
** The mutant stood guarded eyeing the other members of the team who began to approach. Her eyes locked onto Morgan who towered over her. It was a risk allowing Jasmine to come along but her eyes conveyed the real emotion she felt. She didn't back down or cower from Morgan but she didn't provoke her either. ::
"I'm willing to put any discrepancies behind if you will. When these matters are adjourned and if you still feel the need to fry me then I'll honor it. Until then the clock is ticking away for your friends. Give me a chance Morgan..but I'd bet you can't. My face haunts you...all of you. That would mean opening your heart and trust me when I say I know the feeling. As corny as this sounds Morgan, your the only real family I got." Looking away Jasmine avoided eye contact. That statement could either infuriate Morgan more or leave Jasmine vulnerable. This was difficult for Jas to tackle not only was this the same woman who butchered their sister but the same woman who would kill Jasmine. If anyone understood it was Cameron who tried vigorously to reach Alison. Jas was in the same predicament. Her green eyes moved onto Morgan again. What would she say or do? Jasmine hoped door number one. **

[ Delilah was out the door of Morgan's apartment as soon as Spellbinder teleported. Using her near light-speed quickness, she was down on the main floor in moments. On the way, she radioed in to the police dispatcher. ]
"Detective Delilah Trelaven. Badge number 44745. I need an APB out on one Kelly, Sharon and one Barnett, Alycia."
[ She reached Morgan and Jasmine as Haleigh burst in through the doors, and just in time for Jasmine's little speech. Her arrogance annoyed Delilah immensely - who was she to play the martyr? And Delilah would be damned if she would let her get away with it. ]
"How DARE you use Blaze's memory this way. You come in here selling some sob story - when we all know that you found Morgan with only one aim in mind: to kill her. And against my best judgement I - no, we - saved your ass. As a favor I left you out of my police reports and testimony, something I could lose my badge over. You should be thanking us, not trying to throw Morgan a guilt-trip. And now this? Insinuating yourself into our lives by using some lie or narcotic-induced daydream about Blaze? WE knew Blaze. SHE was OUR friend. You didn't even know her, so you have no right to talk about what she would have wanted. SHE would have protected Morgan at all costs...you're just a wannabe."

Haleigh rounded on Jasmine with an equally cold look, her green eyes sparkling. Her tone was firm but soft, the urgency leaving her voice for now... they needed to go... Alycia and Sharon were counting on them... but Haleigh realized that they wouldn't be able to so easily postpone Jasmine. Frost was stubborn and had her mind made up... but her interference [whether she was trying to help or not] was infuriating Haleigh.
"You listen to me and you listen CLOSELY. I don't give a DAMN if you are 25 or 45 or SIXTY-FIVE... its your BEHAVIOR that makes you a GIRL among women and men! You were raised by Victor... his LITTLE PRINCESS, and all you KNOW is him and his pack of WOLVES and the world THEY revolved around you. You know KNOTHING of our work and you know NOTHING of the way the REAL world works. Your past is tragic, its true... but at SOME POINT you are going to have to SUCK IT UP and start behaving like an adult... and until THEN... you will be a GIRL to me.... You have to STOP. JUST STOP... You can't force yourself on us if we ARENT READY for you. Blaze IS dead... and now.... every TIME i look at you, im beginning to see the differences between you. Blaze LISTENED to me... she RESPECTED me... and if i ASKED her to do something FOR HER OWN SAFETY.... she tried her damnest to honor the request. but YOU DON'T. And you dont. and you WON'T. So thank you for breaking the spell. I finally see you for who YOU are. NOT the woman I loved like a sister. and I can't protect someone who doesnt WANT to be protected.... and if you'll excuse me... I have to go help some friends in need... who will ACCEPT my hand when I reach out to them."
Haleigh looked to Delilah as she spoke... and if this standoff had happened under different circumstances, Haleigh MIGHTVE stood up for Jasmine... but this morning... tired of the drama and the pain of the whole ordeal with Jasmine... without another word... Haleigh turned her back on Frost... focusing her attention back on Morgan. her voice is quieted and calm, back to its normal tone.
"Please Morgan... let her go. just let it go. If the GIRL thinks she can fend for herself in this big bad world... if she thinks she knows what shes getting into and she think SHE can handle it... then let her. WE need to help those who can't help themselves.... Alycia and Sharon are in grave danger. Please... I told them they'd be safe... that we wouldnt let anything happen to them. Of ALL the people I FAILED to adequately protect today... THOSE TWO are the ones who needed my protection the most... I can't let them down. Let us go... and get them back."

:: Lifting her hands in the air as every disappeared, Alexis shook her head as her body began to glow a radient blue and explode into currents of electricity. Running through Illustra's main power system, the entire building went black for a moment before Alexis appeared along side of Haleigh, Delilah, Morgan, and Jasmine. Looking at the woman, Alexis immediately scowled. What the hell was this premadonna bitch doing here? She had to of been behind this attack...working along side of Pipeline. For her daddy. To take Morgan and the six down. Growling, Alexis stepped forward, hearing Haleigh's last words to Morgan. Stopping in mid stride, Alexis was planning on wrapping her hands around the woman's throat and sucking the life from her; but as she shifted her glance to Haleigh, she simply sighed. ::
"You're luck's going to run out one of these days, sweetness.."
:: Narrowing her eyes into a glare directly at Jasmine, if she wanted to be an asset to this team and help with this mission. Fine, just let it be known Alexis wouldn't hesitate to knock her ass down if she got in her way. Regardless if she was Blaze's sister or not, she did not like the girl. But Jasmine wasn't her concern at the moment, it was Pipeline. Looking to the others, Alexis shrugged her shoulders back as her sophisticated attire she wore to the courthouse glamoured into a black leather catsuit (think X-Men) complete with healed boots and gloves. Pulling her blonde hair back into a sleek ponytail, Alexis spoke to everyone. ::
"We need to find Alycia. Any ideas where Pipeline went?"

** A commanding voice caught Jasmine's attention who turned to be Delilah. Great! But the wintery mutant hadn't spoken one word she allowed the officer to bad mouth her AND Haleigh. But as the two shot cutting remarks Jasmine's body began to tremble and shake as she shut her eyes trying desperately to calm her erratic emotions. Seeing Blaze wasn't a delusion at all and it raged Jasmine behind means. Cracking her head to the side a snap was heard from the muscle popping. Opening her eyes flashes of yellow exploded in her irises as flames erupted along her body. The more furious she became the more she looked like Blaze. Frost and heat mingling together like never before but as the two women finished she nodded. **
"So be it....think what you want but in the end you've got me wrong. I saw Blaze!"
** Her body temperature rising to unhealthy levels as the air around her body spread like the Human torch. Her yellow irises turned to Morgan. She was outgunned and not wanted but Jasmine couldn't force her way in either. Her sub conscious said no, she'd depart. Stepping back as her boots melted the snow to reveal concrete. "You better hurry Pipeline doesn't waste time....he'll most likely have a psychological warfare with your friends until he tortures them. And finally he'll discard them in the most brutal way when you cannot save them! He'll make this team pick which one to save! Good luck." Turning away Jasmine turned her back on the whole team walking away as the blizzard snow parted for her. It was a battle she couldn't win and for once in her life she accepted it. **

<< before Morgan could really harm Jasmine, Haleigh appeared followed in short succession by Shockwave and MorningStar. Haleigh pulled Morgan away from Jasmine>>
HALEIGH...what do you think you're doing!?
<< before Morgan could bellow any further, Haleigh spoke her peace, and it was hard to deny. the most important situation at hand were the lives of Alycia and Sharon. BOTH of whom were snatched from the Six with ridiculous ease thanks to Pipeline, a foe that no one had anticipated. and once again jasmine managed to bring back the hurt and the pain. it didnt seem to occurr to her that despite her intentions (whatever they may be) that she was going about things the wrong way. Blaze's spectre still loomed over the hearts of EVERYONE in The Six..not just Morgan and for Jasmine to INVOKE her memory as a way to just INSERT herself in the group....it was just INTOLERABLE....especially after her FIRST encounter with them all at XS.>>
<< Delilah rebuked Jasmine sharply and no one, not even Haleigh could or WOULD offer a rebutal to that. Morgan buried her face in her hands with exasperation as she exhaled loudly>>
Haleigh is right. I...WE ...dont have time for this and i think Delilah speaks for us ALL with her last statement. the lives of two of our most trusted allies, our FRIENDS are at risk because of YOUR FATHER and MysTech. We have to get them before Guardian's vision comes to pass <<morgan pauses>> .....we dont know WHERE Alison is right now but I hope that she'll be there when we need her the most.
meanwhile, WE , the six have a job to do and if you think you can just stand in our way of trying to save Alycia and Sharon..rest assured there is more than one person here willing to deal with you as you DESERVE.
<< Morgan abruptly turned away from Jasmine and looked at Shockwave as the metahuman spoke about Pipeline.>>
well...he's got both of them now, and my scrying glass showed us the "cell" that this latest operation of MysTech's is running out of. chances are if we go there...we'll find Alycia and Sharon. Delilah put out an all points bulletin on the both of them which means the city is going to be on high alert...and with a senator and district attourney kidnapping the FEDS will be involved as well. we've got to find them and FAST...the more people that get involved in this...the more lives will be lost when Mastermold is finally unleashed.
so it seems we have to destroy the cell, as well as pipeline... AND VICTOR, who probably served as a means to an end for Mystech merely giving them an excuse to attack the courthouse and flex their muscle in PUBLIC.
if everyone's ready.....i'll teleport us there[the cell] now.

** As Jasmine rounded the corner of Illustra her rage declined. Blaze was a sensitive subject for the mutant even if she never got to fully know her twin. To be accepted in the Six was nearly impossible and for Jasmine it was best if she remained in the shadows. Turning over a new leaf? That was a joke, she was ruthless, a murderer, and much more. Why should this group hear her out? Jasmine knew better but what bothered her was that small voice in the back of her skull. A consciousness? That group was so hypocritical you'd find their picture in the dictionary. All of them did past evil deeds in some way yet they all received a second chance. Stopping she leaned her back against the building wall to ponder this some more. **
** If anything she'd find her father and deal with him once and for all. He was the monster who created her. Enjoying the manipulation she spread throughout the city, increasing crime, and warfare. Jasmine wondered if she lived with Blaze how things would differ. She began to feel light headed from the power overload. Her eyes losing the yellow tint and her flames extinguished. A mere moment to rest. A bright light blinded her eyes when she shielded them. What she saw shocked her, no it couldn't be possible. **
Blaze: "I told you not to give up. They're a stubborn hardass group but keep trying."
** Blaze stepped forward her spirit lingering between worlds. As Jasmine stood up she came face to face with her twin. Blaze still wore her Six uniform from her death but no wounds appeared. Blaze signaled for her twin to follow. **
Jasmine: "Where are we going?"
** Blaze was silent as she reared the corner to see her whole former team. Opening her palms Foxy created a circle of fire around members of the Six and herself and Jasmine. It wasn't harmful just enough to gain attention. Her eyes sliding onto all members as she smiled warmly her dimples showing. **
Blaze: "Hey guys...this isn't a trick. And Jasmine has no pull in this. I've come HERE to see this matter be settled! I can't rest until...its resolved. And my death still lingers but it was meant to happen."
** Blaze's smile disappeared as she spoke calmly. She looked over to Morgan the most as she looked down, the threat of tears in her eyes. Jasmine watched on in bewilderment to this all. The team would of course think it was trickery but not this time. As Blaze spoke, she spoke volume. **
Blaze:"Morgan...I will truly MISS and LOVE you! But please don't blame yourself. I didn't listen to Alison at all...it was my fault. I wanted to reach out to you many times but I'm only allowed one time and I feel this is needed for ALL of this team. And Delilah may I say you did my outfit justice at the party. But Jasmine wasn't lying she did see me. She died saving the files she had on record. A clone came in the presence of Haleigh as she was ready to leave her apartment. She was killed but I made sure she was brought back to life. Jasmine has known bloodshed and not actual love. In the beginning she was troublesome but she wants to change. Now I know this whole team has conquered that because I was there! I was there when Alison finally allowed her siblings in, there when Morgan aided Alexis in the battle with her father, there when Cameron almost surfaced himself to save his inner self, there when Haleigh opened up and FELT emotion and love, and I was there when Morgan felt anguish over my death, there when Delilah stayed with her all night."
** Blaze paused a moment as her green eyes sparkled, "I'll be honest Jasmine is a real pain in the ASS and that's putting it lightly. But she stopped her father from shooting up XS when he barged in and she's come here to fight these drones to help this team." Blaze turned to her twin who were identical except Blaze wore her old uniform. "I know this comes at the wrong angle but it has to be resolved and it needs to be now!" **
Jasmine: "Blaze, this team doesn't WANT me here!"
Blaze shook her head at her twin, "on the contrary they DO but seeing your reflection only relives my death and in turn pain arises. But your attitude hasn't helped matters either." Blaze turned to Haleigh and smiled lightly, "Hals, you know how it is not being able to rest. I'm in the same predicament and if it wasn't for the soul sword I would have been able to return but that's out of the question and Morg is fully aware. Jasmine is a Fielding and because of this fate is interfering." Blaze stepped closer to the group. "In the future Jasmine will risk her life for all of you especially you Morgan. When this happens I'm forbidden to say. And Haleigh she will listen and respect you especially on another mission. I've handed some of my powers to Jasmine but it only occurs in extreme distress and that's only my fire power."
**Blaze began to look worried, "Pipeline isn't the problem there's a dark horizon coming and for Jasmine and Morgan it will relive the past...one neither of you will have known about." Reaching up slowly Blaze tried to caress Morgan's cheekbone but her palm just flew right through it. A look of sadness mirrored in Blaze's eyes at the reality of her own death. Her green eyes filling with tears as she looked up to her statuesque sister. "I'm sorry I let you know Morg...." As Blaze looked down she swallowed the large lump in her throat before clearing it away. Looking up two tears fell as she smiled, "I love you." Blaze's mind reached out to Morgan knowing she would hear her due to their rapport. She spoke quietly in her mind from her own thoughts. **
"I know this is asking a lot of you Morgan but please look after Jasmine....I would if I could. She's all alone in this city and I feel if you gave her half a chance you'd see there's more behind that arrogance. I'm not saying you have to go soft on her but take her in...for me. It would be a favor to me."
** As Blaze finished the last thought she wiped away her tears but they too fell through. "I must get going, I've already held this time up. I'm sorry for the delay." Jasmine glanced at her sibling and then to her twin. She prepared herself for an onslaught of vicious comments. They would think it was magic or some sort of illusion. But the memories Blaze spoke about weren't in any file, they were real. **

:: Sharon Kelly finally awakened. she found herself restrained in a sitting position. tied to a chair with her wrists and ankles bound and her waist as well. as she became more alert..she began to struggle more.::
Commander Riley: Ms. Kelly, don't struggle. You didnt travel very well with Pipeline and you're still very weak right now.
:: Sharon looked up...she recognized Rick Riley as well. He was once a well decorated commanding officer in the United States Marine Corps. she had followed his career from his earliest beginnings at boot camp in paris island, south carolina to the man he became. and now, to see what he had become AFTER leaving the military following the death of his brother in combat....it saddend her::
Sharon: Rick, you've known me... ::coughing as her breathing seemed to be a little difficult:: for a long time. You're record of service was exemplorary...WHY are you doing this!?
:: the area they were in was different than where Alycia was being held and tortured. This seemed to be more of a "War Room" in design. although darkly lit and very cold in feel. there were monitors on a large wall with one very large monitor in the center. the soft humming of energy and electronics played in the air softly as the two indivudals had their uneasy conversation::
Riley: Ms. Kelly, don't pretend to be concerned for me now. It was YOUR BOY, George W. Bush who left my brother high and dry when he ordered his infantry division on that suicide mission. Any way, the "WHY" doesnt really matter now. MysTech is more my style and there's a couple of people who's heads i need to bust. You and your girl Alycia have been making alot of noise and causing alot of trouble for us.....you helped THE SIX destroy one of our most valuable and crucial bases of operation in the arctic circle and its time we COLLECTED on that damage.
::A screen flickered and changed to reveal the horrifying scene of Alycia being tortured as they tried to FORCE her to reveal information about The Six and who her own informants were from within MysTech.::
Sharon: ALYCIA!! :: she struggled to try to get up:: you MONSTER...you're JUST as cruel as what you think Bush is! and for the record..i NEVER supported him in ANY of his efforts...why do you think they always called me an "outspoken opponent".....my own son...is....WAS a mutant for god's sake...how COULD i go along with the government's initiative to have all mutants "tagged and identified"....but thanks to MYSTECH, HE is no longer HERE now is he!? and you've got the nerve to act like you're brother's death entitles you to ruin other people's lives!? you selfish self absorbed ASSHOLE!!
:: Commander Riley SLAPS Sharon across the face HARD..causing her to scream with pain as her head now hangs down...and blood trickles from her mouth::
Riley: mouthy bitchy..put a woman in a suit and heels and give her a title and she thinks she can say or do whatever she wants.
:: standing over Sharon, he glares at her with menace in his eyes::
you'll be getting some of the same treatment as Alycia so dont worry. After that, youll both be killed and thatll be one less problem for MysTech to deal with. I'm sure many of your own colleagues in Congress will be glad to see you've "vacated" your position as well.

:: Lowering her brows at Blaze's "image" Alexis listened to what she had to say about Jasmine. Granted, she and Blaze were close...but sometimes she had a skewed sense of who people were. Always looked at the best in them instead of the backstabbing bitch they really were. Blaze...if this WAS Blaze, could very well be manipulated by Jasmine. Who knows what capabilities this heartless bitch had up her sleeve. ::
:: Crossing her arms along her chest, Alexis's heart softened for a moment wondering if this was real. Hoping it was. She hadn't seen Blaze in...what seemed like centeries. The same woman who would hit on her left and right; try to one up her no matter what the reasons were. It was their relationship. It was how Alexis and Blaze co-existed. Inhaling a deep breath, if this was in fact an illusion of some sort, Alexis would take great pleasure in ripping out ever single piece of hair from Jasmine's head until she was as ugly on the outside as she was on the inside. ::
:: Once Blaze finished talking, Alexis lowered her eyes to the ground, not exactly sure what to take from this. She spoke of events that only she would know of. But then again, so much as happened, how could she seriously trust this ghost...illusion...whatever it was. Parting her lips with her tongue, Alexis lifted her eyes again to Jasmine. Not as threatening, but still stern. ::
"If this is some kind of joke..."
:: Trailing off, Alexis clenched her teeth together as she craned her neck back and turned a bit. Shifting her weight from one foot to another, tension began to rise throughout her body, and she needed to move in order to release it. Rocking from one side to another, Alexis turned back around to face the front, and kept quiet. Far be it from her to jump to conclusions...Morgan would know if this was a joke or a trick, where as Alexis was bias to believing this was in fact Blaze because she so whole heartedly wanted it to be. Looking to Morgan to Haleigh, then to Cameron, Alexis' eyes fell back onto Morgan, awaiting her reaction to this revelation. ::

** Blaze turned clad in her form fitting leather suit that hugged her athletic body. Those observant sage green eyes shifted to Alexis. Everyone knew Blaze was in a way empathic due to her emotional grasp on the world, and it was more keen and sensitive with her teammates. As Foxfire locked eyes with the blonde she supplied a sympathetic look to her, her voice calm and genuine **
Blaze: "I know most of you are skeptic of who and what you see before you. But I reassure you its me. You see I'm trapped on this plain from Morgan's soul sword, my death, and now the appearance of Jasmine. I cannot rest until these matters are taken care of."
** Licking her lips, Blaze touched her own heart as she spoke. If this were an illusion it would have to originate from a superior being and obviously Jasmine did not have that capability. Her eyes stopped again on Shockwave as she grinned, that familiar trademark smile of hers. **
Blaze: "I definitely missed you Alex, sorry I forgot you hate being called that. You can feel my power though our energies contracting. When we dealt with Black I allowed you to absorb my energy to aide you. I'm afraid this is not a joke and to prove my point the elders will transport Jasmine to another plain of existence."
** Jasmine's fierce green eyes turned to her twin with a look of bewilderment as a flash of intense ultra violet lighting shot through Jasmine as she disappeared in a flash. Once the lighting dimmed she turned to Delilah. **
Blaze: "Del, if anyone knows and comprehends lighting its you...the light you just saw was no joke and I know you can verify that as well."
** Blaze sighed heavily as her emotions were beginning to buckle for the fiery spirit as she wrapped her own arms around herself, a similar move Morgan did as well. This reunion was far more difficult then Blaze had anticipated. As she looked from member to member she fought the temptation to cry again. Everyone present could see the internal struggle. She saw all of her friends but she couldn't physically touch them, especially Morgan and it bothered her. **
Blaze: "I see the good in everyone it was one of my pros I possessed. I saw a lot of that in Haleigh and I thought of her as a Kindred spirit. I see the same in Jasmine and I'm fully aware of her past crimes. Jasmine is a tainted soul but she also has no one else. All of you were alone in this cruel barren world and now look at the accomplishments you all have done. I'll be honest this meeting is hard for ME because I'm standing before people I've grown to love yet I can't even touch you guys by a simple hug. I can't help you on this mission and it burns me up inside! But if anyone can understand fate its me. Fate has a new course with my sister, Jasmine. I promise you all...she will NOT give you any trouble. She's on her path to enlightenment but her progress won't matter if this team won't allow her the chance to prove herself or her worth. She already turned in the files on the Six to a member of Haleigh's staff and she'll willingly sign over any documentation for XS to Morgan or whom it may concern."
** Blaze stopped as she looked toward the wintery sky as her eyes sparkled. Glancing back down she continued on. **
Blaze: "If you all are so passionately against having Jasmine on this team then the elders have agreed to place her on another team called The Alignment, another group like yourself. This team would be in Europe instead of the United States. Its your call but I must get an answer from all of you....we will have a vote on whether you want Jasmine Fielding on the Six or not. If you do I'll return her here and she'll take orders from Spellbinder or any other member. If not she'll be transported to Europe and her memory of this team, the events, and her father all erased. Its up to you guys, choose wisely, for the decision once made cannot be switched."
** Blaze stood patiently in her old uniform looking from Morgan, Haleigh, Alexis, Cameron, and Delilah. Jasmine's fate would be in their hands, which was a rare occasion but an important task as well. Blaze turned to Delilah with a curious look. **
Blaze: "Delilah, your up first. What's your decision on Jasmine, should she go or should she stay?"

Haleigh faced Morgan, nodding. She was more than ready to go... she felt a distinct sense of duty to help Alycia and Sharon... for while Haleigh struggled to maintain a dislike of Alycia , Haleigh ginuinely liked and respected Sharon Kelly... for she was a good senator and was making a lot of headway in political circles to help mutants.
As the fire ring surrounded the group it definitely got Haleigh's attention, and she assumed Jasmine, stubborn and proud as she was, was attempting to continue forcing her presence on the group. Haleigh'd had quite enough of that kind of childish behavior, and NOW, after trying to disengage Jasmine several times over the last 24 hours, Haleigh accepted the challenge and finally entered into direct conflict with Jasmine. Haleigh drew a Walther P22 from her hip and turned around, locking onto Jasmine with fierce, angry eyes. She was just about to command Jasmine to stand down when Blaze came around the corner and into Haleigh's field of vision. Haleigh kept her weapon trained on the corporeal Jasmine but found herself unable to tear her eyes away from the image of Blaze.
Haleigh's eyes went wide with surprise and then narrowed with skepticism, and internally, shut her emotions and her pain away defensively, for she hadn't the strength to deal with this possibly at the moment. Her face went stoic but her eyes had a slight look of resentment that burned stronger the longer Blaze talked. Blaze adresses Haleigh directly but Haleigh remained silent and poised.... the longer Blaze speaks and the closer she gets[as she comes over to touch Morgan] the more Hlaeigh feels that this is NOT a trick... and that it truly is Blaze... but still...something Blaze has said is sticking to Haleigh painfully... even though it is likely not MEANT to be abrasive, Blaze mentioning not being able to return because of the Soul Sword rubs Haleigh entirely the wrong way. Haleigh holsters her firearm and turns to Morgan. She is unsure of how the sorceress is taking this, because Morgan is being so quiet... her voice is soft and comforting, trying to coax Morgan into sitting down.
"Morgan? Are you okay? Would you like to have a seat?"
She asks, a metal framed chair sliding across the floor and stopping right behind Morgan. "Here... sit, and just breathe." She offers. Haleigh momentarily considers sitting down herself... but she looks to Alexis, who is the first to verbally react, and then focuses back on Blaze.
Though unsure WHERE it is coming from, Haleigh feels a churning anger swelling up inside her like a gulf coast storm, its fine winding tendrils snaking around her heart and causing her chest cavity to tighten, and as Blazes finishes explaining that she can't return a SECOND time, Haleigh snaps.
[b]"BLAZE, STOP!!"
She demands, her voice thundering at a near stereophonic growl. Why she is suddenly so protective of Morgan she will not explain... but she is concerned that Morgan will succumb to the same cumbersome and crippling guilt that Haleigh is struggling with... and that could mean Morgan becoming nearly immpossible to revive in time to help Alycia and Sharon... because Haleigh knows all too well how suppressing and suffocating the remorse over causing Blaze's death is...and she also knows Morgan must feel it tenfold.
"Damn it Blaze... not ONE of us here is confused as to HOW you died or WHY we can't get you back... so STOP rubbing Morgan's face in it... or I'll STRANGLE Jasmine right here before your eyes... and I can assure you NOBODY in this room will blink and YOU will be powerless to stop me!"
Haleigh pronounced, bristled with the familiar abominable guile that made her so hated amongst the group at first. Silence falls over the group, and then Haleigh mentally pulls a desk chair over for herself and sinks into it, her face in her hands, visibly ashamed of the depths she sunk to so easily. Her voice is gentle and apologetic when she speaks again.
"I'm sorry... you know I love you and would never do anything to hurt you... but you must THINK of the effect your words will have upon us ALL... for your death is still a wound raw in all our hearts."
Haleigh sat up, leaning back in her chair and approaching what Blaze had said about the alignment with tact and reasoning. "No... I don't think that would suffice. To be truthful everyone... I would rather Jasmine be here, with us.... We are still lacking in number and Jasmine is a better candidate than ANYONE we have tried thus far... sure she has a dark past... but WHICH of us here has NOT? Let them without sin cast the first stone, right? I have done a great MANY things I am not proud of... but if anyone here is the postergirl for reform it is me.... I think we should at LEAST give her a chance.... if Blaze is mistaken... and the gir-- Jasmine.... TURNS on us... we will ALL know what to do with her.... As a matter of fact... she has ALREADY shown ME that she wishes to reform herself... she has already relinquished possession of the XS deed to me... I intended to PERSONALLY deliver it to Alycia this afternoon." Haleigh settled her attention on Blaze.
"I can't speak for the rest of the group.... however.... If what you say is true... and she will LISTEN to my advice and heed my warnings when they may come... then I will look after her and help her assimilate to the Six.... everything takes time... and I can't build her relationships FOR her... but as I was doing BEFORE... I will help her in the right direction."

<< Morgan raised up in anger....but BLAZE'S voice and appearence caused her to fall back...her mind cried out for her mother AND Ororo...someone who could just step in and STOP the reoccuring cycle of guilt, shame and anguish that blighted her heart.>>
Mother....Ororo.....please...give me the strength!
<< As Blazed reached up to Morgan's face.... Morgan placed her own hand over her heart...as her icy violet eyes began to well up with tears . she closed her eyes tightly as she began to tremble with grief...and THAT was slowly giving way...to RAGE>>
<< thunder rumbled and rolled slowly in the air and seemed to build as winds whistled faintly in the air>>
Blaze.... I'll never be able to forgive myself for what happened to you during the Inferno....not a day goes by that I, WE do not grieve for you and the loss of your life.
<< Burying her face in her hands.....her voice was monotoned but it betrayed strain. if anyone there knew anything about ther sorceress....it was that if she felt trapped or overwhelmed...she would SNAP and they had seen just how CATASTROPHIC that could be.>>
why....is this happening NOW?
<< she continues to tremble...as the winds seem to increase in strength>>
why is it....that I have to be REMINDED of how much of a MONSTER I am?
My friends....they NEED me. and yet here i am....BLIGHTED by this WOMAN << pointing at Jasmine>>
who is related to me through a TECHNICALITY!
<< thunder cracks in the sky as Morgan abruptly stands up.........her facial features are darker, betraying a more evil glint in her eyes>>
Jasmine Klein, if you value your life...do NOT interfere in my attempts to rescue Sharon Kelly and Alycia Barnett....I may be a monster in human form, but that doesnt change the fact that there are people who need me to save them NOW....
<<shaking her head....>>
Blaze, what happened to you.....has NOTHING to do with HER and I cant deal with this now. The idea of HER being in my home, and thinking she deserves MY consideration after what she's done.. its JUST TOO MUCH!
<< Morgan flings her hands up and with another blast of thunder, a stepping disc snaps open encompassing the sorceress about her waist in in the blink of an eye she's gone....leaving the faint sound of chimes in the air. it was clear that Morgan fled the scene because she felt herself losing controll. She DESPISED Jasmine but at the moment Alycia and Sharon were her paramount concern. She'd deal with personal/"family" issues later.....if there WAS a "later". it was now up to Haleigh to get the rest of the team to the cell. there was no telling where Morgan would be, once inside the cell...but just when things seemed like they might be at their most uncertain, the team would find themselves getting an unexpected break in this caper>>

** The more Blaze spoke the harder it was for the entire group not just herself. Luckily for Jasmine the wintery mutant didn't have to see these more emotional changes throughout the group. It was better if Jasmine didn't seem them, without her present the group could place their guard down and that's what Blaze hoped for. To get through to this uncanny group once and for all. She became startled when Haleigh rose her voice to the fiery mutant who had accidentally hit a nerve. A look of regret washed along Blaze's saddened eyes as she swallowed the large lump in her throat. It pained the mutant to see her friends and she knew it pained them MUCH more. Dropping eye contact she nodded to acknowledge she understood. **
Blaze: "I'm sorry Hal's I didn't mean to...pick old healing scabs I'm just trying to explain why I'm here so everyone comprehends this. But please your hostility is understandable but I ask you re -- direct it elsewhere. You still struggle with the more vulnerable emotions which is why your lashing out as Jasmine. What you do to her is not my affair but I WILL protect her any means necessary, its who I am and you know this."
** Blaze watched Haleigh comfort Morgan and suddenly white hot jealousy struck into her form. She was jealous Haleigh was comforting her sister rather than herself. A heavy pill to swallow but Blaze felt secure with her dear friend protecting her sister. It was comical though how highly those two clashed. As Haleigh apologized Blaze slide her green eyes back onto her she was grateful to hear she'd stick by Jasmine and offer her the help she so desperately needed. **
Blaze: "Thank you Haleigh...I've always respected your judgment even if we might not always agreed."
** Blaze turned to see Morgan who had been oddly quiet throughout all of this voice her emotion, concern, and her rage in one swift motion which caused Blaze to flinch, a sign of the aftermath of the destruction of her death. She watched Morgan leave in a hurry as her heart felt as though it was ripped apart. Blaze struggled to remain in control of them but it utterly pained her to watch her sister depart. A look of hurt swelled in Blaze's eyes as she choked on her own tears. Her eyes flashing that same yellow tint Jasmine encountered earlier, a sign of highly charged emotion.
"This team has decided based on two team leaders, Jasmine will stay and I will not require any other votes." Sucking in a breath she waved her hands as Jasmine returned in another blinding flash of light. Blaze walked right up to her twin absolutely fearless of the wintery mutant. Her voice sounding more upset than she intended. **
Blaze: "You fuck this up one bit and I'll make sure your stuck in Hades for eternity! If you even provoke this team I'll know of it! And trust me Jassy if I find this I'll make sure your life is utterly hell, are we clear?"
** Jasmine nodded as the twins were face to face. Blaze stepped back with a nod, she slightly begrudged Jasmine to work with the Six rather than Blaze. But it was Blaze's nature to sacrifice herself for others. **
Blaze: "Follow Haleigh and the rest of the team. I warn you...this is MY family and I'm very protective of them. Treat them kindly."
** Blaze could be fierce when she wanted to be, which is why she respected and loved Haleigh. Fox nodded to the team, her mind focused on Morgan and her self torment. Blaze yearned to take that awful feeling away but it was out of her hands. As Jasmine stared at Blaze she could see why this team loved and adorned her fiery passion. Blaze turned as the air currents twisted and manipulated to her free will she was transported back to another plane of existence, leaving the Six and Jasmine. **
** Jasmine was oddly quiet as she kept her distance from the team. She didn't want to provoke this team, especially not Morgan but she wasn't here. She looked around for the blonde but shrugged it off. A stranger among a crowd of people Jasmine forced herself closer. Her eyes moved onto Haleigh who pulled a weapon on her earlier but there was no grudge given from Jasmine's part. She shrugged it off and instead she began to feel that ice return to her heart. Particles of ice forming around her body as her eyes disappeared to reveal silver orbs. She prepared herself for battle with these people. Her silvery eyes scanning the city as usual, Frost was ready to prove her worth starting now. But she wondered if she'd see Blaze again or not. **

Zach (http://www.freewebs.com/titaniazane/ryan01.JPG) leaned against a wall, quietly watching the unfolding events. He remembered Blaze: they'd met back when Haleigh was bringing Blaze into her company, but he could tell now was NOT the time to catch up. The small handheld 'pda' type gadget in his pocket vibrated, and he took it out and looked at the alert... He didnt say anything, though it was good news... he just looked up and towards Haleigh and waited for a good time.
"Morgan..." Haleigh said softly, trying in earnest to calm the sorceress before she was lost... but there was nothing Haleigh could do.... and as Morgan disappeared, Haleigh rubbed her eyes with one hand and muttered a slew of swears halfheartedly. She looked back up at Blaze as she brought Jasmine back and spoke with her. Haleigh wished Blaze's 'visit' could've been on more pleasant terms... and as the mutant began to leave, Haleigh interrupted her, and softly offered the sentiment she'd felt continuously since learning of Blaze's death.
"Blaze? I CAN speak for the group when I say... We Love you... and we miss you.... and we'll keep you with us in our hearts, always... and that goes doubly for me."
She said, smiling gently as Blaze nodded and disappeared. Haleigh turned solemn attention to Jasmine. Her tone was firm and serious. "Your Sister has negotiated your way into our cartel... but be warned... your stead here is SHAKY at best... so ill offer a suggestion or two... keep your head down and do as you are told... and watch our backs.... and perhaps we will ALL make it out of this ordeal alive... and your intrepidity will be proven... and the others will become more accustomed to the idea of you."
Haleigh glanced round at the group... without Morgan or Alison, they were just four... Haleigh herself, Cameron, Alexis and the newly joined Delilah... and then there was, as Alycia had put it, Haleigh's 'ward', Jasmine... and Haleigh knew the burden of rallying the team and getting them to The Cell fell on her shoulders. As her eyes settled on Zach, he stood up straight and headed towards her, and she knew instantly he had some [hopefully good] news to break to her. He knelt by the right side of her chair and showed her his handheld, and her face slightly brightened.
Zach:"We have a fix on Ms. Kelly and Ms. Barnett again... they are being held-- underground-- beneath an abandoned warehouse just outside city limits. Kelly's vitals are good but this spike indicates she's just experienced slight pain... Barnett is not doing so well, see her quickened heartrate and respiratory increase? and these intermittant spikes suggest she's being tortured...."
"And Morgan?"
"Negative... you know when she teleports like that it disrupts our systems.... takes us a while to recalibrate to her signal."
"Alright... get me my usual equipment... then you can help the locals-- and the feds-- make sense of this morning."
Zach nodded and gave her a kiss on the cheek before fading from view... and Haleigh turned and addressed the group.
"Thank GOD I had Sharon and Alycia 'chipped' last night while they slept... its a microscopic 'skin deep' new develpoment that is really becoming priceless... with tracking and vital reporting capabilities... its just awesome." She stood, taking a deep breath. "We need to suit up.... Zach will be returning with the tech I usually wear.... and its custom fitting so if any of you would like a suit-- or gear... help yourselves.... we must be quick about this... hopefully Morgan has gone to the cell to get a head start and NOT just gone AWOL. Delilah, can you orchestrate a light-speed transport for the lot of us?"

[ Delilah stared at the space Blaze had just occupied. As Haleigh spoke to her, she snapped back to reality. Quickly wiping the tears from her eyes, she turned to the others. ]
"Uh...yeah. Shouldn't be a problem. Whenever you're ready."
[ She was worried though - Blaze's presence had not been beneficial for Morgan's state of mind. She hoped that Morgan wouldn't do anything stupid. And where was Alison? ]
"I could use something to wear though."
[ She looked down at the tattered remnants of her suit. Haleigh was right: their first priority had to be Alycia and Sharon. ]

** Haunting silvery eyes carefully observed all the members of the Six. So Blaze was a sore wound for all of them? Hmmm, why didn't she think of that sooner to take down Morgan. Shrugging it off she'd attempt to repent for her ways but that was like hoping a ferocious wolf wouldn't hunt. As the team spoke their good -- byes, Frost turned to her forearm as a small keypad had appeared on her wintery skin. Quickly tapping an access code and a voice sample she breathed deeply **
"Jasmine Fielding, Operative number 050072."
** As she spoke her name a slightly shift in the air currents as a small vapid air vortex formed in mid air, parting the snow like curtains. As her eyes glowed brightly a tall dark haired beauty with intense penetrating brown eyes walked forth. Her long chocolate locks braided tightly but her business suit gave an inside closer look to who Jasmine was. As the woman gained ground she carried a suit in her arms. Her pouty lips glossy and full as her sunglasses masked the eyes Jas knew well. **
"Frost, I've acquired the suit you've instructed. It'll enable you to boost your power by triple and also allow you a total of twenty-four hours without tiring. Its temperature sensitive but I built a rubber insulation inside to protect you from fires and electricity."
** Jasmine's smile only gave a more devilish smirk revealing those dimples on each cheek. Nodding to her comrade respectfully she took the suit from her. Violet turned to see the other members of the team, "that the Six?" Jasmine nodded, "yes." Violet smirked with a perked brow, "they're kinda tiny." Jasmine gave a small laugh shaking her head, walking Violet back to the Vortex. Violet was merely a clone of Angelina Jolie. She was a special prototype that enabled celebrities to take bits and pieces of her. Members of the Six only saw about 25% of Jasmine, but soon they'd see more. **
"How is Emily?"
Violet: "She's good but she misses her mommy. She asks about you...she's only four now..."
** Jasmine looked down with regret. Reaching out to Violet she gave her friend a tight hug, "please...keep my daughter safe. You know the risks of that information leaking." Violet pulled back, "I'll continue to guard her with my life." Jasmine forced a smile, it was natural for a mother to worry. Another added fact the Six didn't know Jasmine was a mother of a beautiful little girl. Turning away Violet slipped through the vortex as Frost's chocolate locks flew around. Pressing the suit to her body it automatically molded to her body type as she placed the black leather gloves on. Her suit was more form fitting with a belt attached for small gadgets. Lastly was her head gear which enabled her to see in complete darkness and behind her. Placing a small earbud inside her ear it allowed her to hear Haleigh and the other members perfectly. Dark form fitting shades appeared to cover her eyes. Walking forward she hurried her steps as her boots pelted into the snow. Her suit was a midnight blue compared to the leather suits the Six usually wore. **
"That lair is like a labyrinth of tunnels Haleigh. Almost getting lost in a gigantic cornfield. His goons cover every corner and I'm guessing the room where the two ladies are kept is pressure sensitized. Pipeline is smooth and precise. Alexis will no doubt be the key with her power over electricity."
** Jasmine never met Pipeline but she knew of him and his line of work. She respected him for how cunning his skill was. And obviously he snatched the Senator and the Lawyer right out from under the Six. Her green eyes studying Haleigh from behind her dark shades. Usually Jasmine didn't offer helpful tidbits but they were going to need all the information they could get if they wanted to rescue these two. Jasmine pondered if she actually WANTED to, these two women did plan on frying her. But there was that irony of glory to look smug when they saw Jasmine with the Six. Perhaps saving the two wasn't so bad after all. **

<< Spellbinder flies through the evening sky, high above and unnoticed by anyone or anything but the boldest of birds that she streaks past. the look on her face is that of grim intent as she finally lands on the roof of a building diagnal from The warehouse that is "the cell". the evening breeze picked up a bit as Morgan stood, surverying the dark , remote area on the outskirts of the city. Morgan was now wearing a black leather, figure flattering contouring body suit with a designed "slash" across the chest to reveal cleavage. along with high heeled boots and gloves, along a low slung double belt arond the waist that featured a white lightning bolt shapped buckle. a black leather chocker along with a mini cape w/white interior and black exterior. the design of the costume was inspired by the costumes worn by the character "Barbarella" from the sexy sci fi movie of the same name. her hair was down, flowing in loose curls as the wind blew.>>
<< crouching down, Morgan detected magick within and around the building. clearly they had some mages on the premesis but none of them would likely be a match for Morgan. They hadnt encounted any magick users in mystech that rivaled the power of Imagiomg or even Kelly King.>>
the best way to bring the bugs to the surface is to shake up the nest.
<< Morgan glared with contempt as she stood up and raised her hands. chimes sound off as halos of red energy formed around her hands....and soon, the halos sparkled as thunder crashed. at that moment....basketball sized orbs of glowing red energy began to charge from all sides and different altitudes and angles towards the warehouse. the orbs crash and explode with a glowing effect on contact...rattling old abandonned cars and smaller buildings near by, battering the structure with the concussive force of DARK MAGICK. the explosions hit hard and echo in the air....even MorningStar and Black Widow would be able to detect the sounds of this attack>>
<< the orbs continue to strike in a continuous succession an energy field is protecting the physical integrity of the building but it will not last long against an attack of this magnitude.>>
---------------------
Inside the cell
<< alarms sound and black guards and other agents of Mystech rush to their stations to attempt to identify the attacker and defend the building. one human guard in in a para military style garb rushes to the controll room where a sadistic Commander Riley is man handling Sharon Kelly...he too is startled by the sudden jarring impact of Spellbinder's attacks and looks up angrily at the screen as he throws Sharon to the floor>>
mystech agent: Commander Riley.....<< the young man bursts in>> the building is under attack....by DARK MAGICK.
Commander Riley: <<speaking with a rather deep tone>>
so...the WITCH has decided to make a move....
<< looking at the many monitors, he cannot gain a visual on Morgan herself outside anywhere>>
but she's not on any screen. she's probably cloaked herself with a spell and there's no telling where the rest of the six are.
<< kicking Sharon in the stomach, Riley steps over her>>
Take Ms. Kelly down to the dungeon to join Ms. Barnett. We'll kill them and release Master Mold before abandonning this building. Have Pipeline began to evacuate ALL data and materials of value including essential personnell. ill assemble a welcoming committee that witch and her allies.
<< the guard drags a bruised and bloodied sharon out of the room while Riley suits up...taking a plasma cannon and summoning a select company of fighters to face The Six>>

:: Alycia fell to the floor...holding wrapping her arms around her stomach as she shivered and sweat dripped from her brow. she exhaled, still shaken by the the brutality visited on her....her lip was busted, her eye blackened and she had been jolted painfully with electricity. But during the process, Alycia had fought back more than once, remaining defiant, refusing to cooperate with questioning, even cursing and spitting at her captors and making flippant remarks. the guards were slightly amused by the toughness and resiliency of this woman but their efforts to break her were increasing in intensity and cruelty and her body's resolve was giving way. she coughed as she tried to get up::
Guard: man look at her. she doesnt give up even when she's been beaten. this is worse than trying to train a dog.
Alycia: ::breathing heavily:: aww, whats the matter? your job of being a lacky prooving to be too complex and difficult for you? you guys are all the same...always confusing your energy batons...with your private parts...
:: she tried to laugh but her rib cage was cracked in several places and she winced. but the guards ego was bruised by her remark and he hit her across the face with his baton...causing her to fall down::
Guard: stupid bitch. thats why you're gonna die tonight and no one's going to enjoy hearing you scream more than we are.

:: Cameron seemed to be taken back by the whole situation. He had seen Jasmine help him take care of the Army Eyes and the other countless drones that had been sent to destroy them and now Blaze Fielding was standing right in front of them. It was a convincing story. But Cameron knew better. Some of the illusions he used to create when he maintained his telepathic abilities seemed completely real to the people who were seeing them. He just still didn't trust her. It was something in her eyes. They were cold and not lively and full of passion like her twin sister. As Morgan took off and the rest of them made a plan, Prophet decided to take a chance and talk to Haleigh about something. He grabbed her by the arm. ::
"Haleigh... I need to speak with you...privately..."
:: Taking her into the kitchen nearby he began to tell her what he knew about the entire situation. If Clandestine Intelligence and Omega-4 pooled their resources they could most likely dispose of Pipeline as quickly as possible ::
"Okay.. what I am about to tell you can never leave this room. In fact turn off all of your coms.."
:: He waited for her to go radio silent before he continued. ::
"Apparantely the United States Government is well aware of the threat that Mystech poses to the world. So much so in fact that they set up a Black Ops division known as Omega-4 that strictly deals with acts of mutant and magick terrorism. Omega-4 has known about the prophecy of the Six for years before we did. In fact there were six Omega-4 operatives assigned to watch over us and to make sure we took the right steps in meeting each other. Like you receiving the information that made you attempt to blackmail her, like me wanting to use Illustra to commercialize the Parthenon.. That Tempo Magazine became partners with Illustra. They were all people close to us.. Mine was Vivica and though she won't tell me who the others are because of strict confidentiality, she broke many codes telling me this and if anyone found out she would be dead..."
:: He wanted to give her time to process the information but he had to continue. ::
"Omega-4 works differently than the actual CIA. They still answer to them but they make their own rules. They know alot about Pipeline and have resources that even Clandestine doesn't have.. you need to pool your resources. Join forces and get all we can on Pipeline.. see if your Op Techs can fathom some kind of device to disrupt his power or hone in on his DNA signature.. He would not have been selected to kill those close to Morgan without his own considerable firepower.. I know it's a lot to take in, but are you willing to do it?"

<< Morgan's spell played out..having battered the building, knocked out primary power and shaken loose many fixtures and settings inside on the main floors, many of the drones, black guards and other MysTech personnell were now disorientated, agitated and scrambling into defense mode. Spellbinder emerged via stepping disc inside the warehouse on the main floor out in the open area of what used to be a large storage facility.>>
<< in an icy voice>>: greetings gentleman. I'm spellbinder, a demon sorceress and i've come to kill you all.
<< Morgan seemed to be rather unabashed in her blood thirsty overture as she began by flinging her fists out at either side horizontally...smashing the helmets of the blackguards on either side of the door. she began to walk forward....shoving another guard with such force to send him spawling across the floor as if he weighed nothing. another guard attempted to rush her from behind, she caught him by the neck and pulled him over her shoulder...snapping the neck as she swung him around and hurled him into two more guards coming from the side.>>
------------------------
<< from the control room, Rick Riley could see that this woman was handling these "black guards" and some REAL LIVE male mystech agents with ridiculous ease as she humiliated them and killed them one by one. >>
Rick Riley: the sorceress is moving through the pawns rather brutally. it appears she is lacking the restraint that it was said she aquired following the inferno event. the look in her eyes suggests she's on the verge. a pity she is working AGAINST mystech...
<< speaking through a private com link, Riley attempted to riley the troops>>
you're letting one woman handle you all like helpless bowling pins. you have access to the most cutting edge fire power and technology the world has seen! stop being weak and DEAL WITH THE WITCH!
--------------------
<< as morgan made her way through the factory area, she was met by hostile fire. laser blasts from black guards who operated cannons on levels above, while troops on her level were coming out in pattern formation, weilding energy batons and cannons, firing volleys of blasts.>>
oh. now you want to get brave? well thats fine. << Morgan smirks>> MorningStar would have more fun with these lasers, but since she's not here yet, I have my own way of dealing with them....
<< taking some evasive maneuvers, Morgan dodges and side steps a few blasts, remaining fast on her feet.....as she back pedals from an oncoming formation of troops, she extends her hand and a stepping disc opens a few inches in front of her out stretched hand vertically and acts as a sort of shield as it "catches" a volley of blasts. with the speed of thought...a disc opens BEHIND Morgan at the same orientation and the laser blasts come through the disc and annihilate the guards approaching from behind.>>
<< as their screams and sounds of battle fill the air...Morgan gestures and ignites magick, summoning large, sparkling silver eldritch fire balls from the four corners of the massive warehouse main floor. the roar of the mystic flames is heard as the fire balls charge madly at various groups of guards and cannons around the area....blasting, radiating and incinerating their targets.>>
<< knowing that time is short and knowing that more guards will continue to come, Morgan takes to the air, preparing to unleash a wind attack to clear the area. when the others DID arrive, they'd see the aftermath of this attack....the damage to the outside of the building, the dead bodies and destroyed "black guards" all over the place...the scorch marks and melted slag from the destroyed weapons>>
<< the rest of the six were now ready to arrive at the cell. Haleigh would be able to assess the situation and pick up on what had recently occurred with her equipment and data devices. the team would decide how best to proceed...and hopefully catch up with Spellbinder before she went too far.>>

** Crossing her arms across her amble chest, Frost was beginning to lose her cool with how much time was wasted with these people. Her grandmother could probably move faster. She was eager to follow Spellbinder but that would be a death wish and like Blaze instructed she had to follow protocol, did she? There had to be a weakness in some way to bend the rules just a bit? Stretching her muscles out to prepare for battle her winter green eyes followed Cameron. Now, wasn't he a stunningly handsome man? It entertained the mutant how Haleigh looked at him, Frost saw right THROUGH it. Shaking her head she saw Prophet escort his friend inside. **
** A devilish smirk ran across Jasmine's lips as she gently touched her dark sunglasses that flashed various vision moods until she could clearly see Black Widow and Prophet. This new form of technology was far BEYOND Haleigh's. And best of all, Frost didn't have to be in the same room to view this either. While the communications were down she was skillfully able to read lips. Uh - oh, so much for private conversation. Reading Cameron's lips, Jasmine cocked a brow. Well, wasn't he so secretive all of a sudden. The rest of the team should know this as well. But just this hidden information gave her goosebumps, it was her little secret and none of these people could override her top of the line technology. **
** Observing the information Cameron told her, Jasmine's eyes began to wander down his muscular body. He reminded her of someone she once loved, Michael. She was half tempted to see what he wore under those clothes. Her technology was capable and why should a man take advantage of that when women could equally abuse it. But Jasmine felt that annoying voice in the back of her head. Damn conscious! Instead she watched the scene play out, reading Haleigh's lips when she spoke. Weren't they so cozy? This team was dysfunctional. You had the blood thirsty bitch, the alcoholic, the drone or soldier girl, the by the book chick, the meat head. She stopped when she remembered Alison and those cobalt eyes. Yes, where was she? Helping Spellbinder? Her eyes still watching Cam and Hal in private as her thoughts drifted to Guardian. Jasmine wouldn't blame the seer if she suddenly decided to go 'pop' and disappear. Clearly her brother watched one too many X - Files episodes and Haleigh, well she was what Morgan labeled her a female Rambo mix with James Bond. At times she acted like a robot, was she? That would be a new revelation having a robot on the team. **
** Lifting her dark shades up to rest on her forehead she turned her eyes onto Delilah. "Looks like you'll get that suit someday." She stepped closer to the cop knowing the other woman was detesting her presence. "I can offer you a suit." Usually Jasmine didn't offer but the cop did put her ass on the line for the mutant. She breathed in a small breath of air, "I know just the thought of myself on your team disgusts you but you did risk your badge for me. I figure I owe you, which I'm not thrilled about because who you are. You'll always be the cop even on this team and I'll always be the villain. My point is, while Haleigh is away I'll offer you my assistance."
** Entering her pin code, a vortex opened and a tall looking gentlemen appeared. His lean body and that chiseled jaw looked identical to Ewan McGregor. He walked up to Jasmine, "this one's bulletproof, highly resist to plasma cannons, heat resist, and it comes equip with various gadgets." Frost nodded, "what else?" He turned to lock eyes with Delilah, "electrical resist, form contouring, it basically boosts Morningstar's power by triple if she so requires it." Frost thanked him as her friend vanished into the vortex. Jasmine handed the suit to her, "if you want it, take it. If you don't then that's fine too but somehow I doubt you enjoy the shredded look." She lifted a small portion of the torn suit up by her fingertips with a frown. "Your call." She locked eyes with Delilah. **

[ Delilah narrowed her eyes. She wasn't about to be bought off with an outfit, or fooled by this apparent attempt by Jasmine at friendship. She resisted the urge to laugh at the ridiculousness of the show: the vortex, the Ewan McGregor lookalike, the high-tech more-than-necessary suit.
She paused. Delilah didn't trust Jasmine, that was certain. But would she seriously try to do her harm at this juncture? And they needed to get moving, that was sure - each second of hesitation was killing Alycia and Sharon.
She grabbed the suit from Jasmine, and slipped into it, pressing it to her body as Frost had done, flexing her hands as the suit molded to her body. She had to admit, it was nice to be out of her tattered clothing...and she was a little excited to see what the suit could do.
She closed her eyes, raising her hands with fingers spread close to her face. A soft hum could be heard as strands of light emanated from MorningStar's fingers and swirled in front of her, growing larger and larger until it resembled a tunnel. When she was finished, she opened her eyes and lowered her hands. She called towards where Cameron and Haleigh had retreated, using her control over sound to ensure that they could hear her. ]

:: Alexis watched as Cameron pulled Haleigh aside into a private conversation. Raising a brow, Alexis turned back to Delilah and Jasmine, who were standing afar. Gripping her hands into fists, she still hated the idea of working with the both of them...atleast she could tolerate Delilah; Jasmine on the other hand was a different story. Walking past them, Alexis folded her arms along her chest and stood with her back to the group. Inhaling a deep breath, she stretched her neck back closing her eyes. Overhearing Delilah and Jasmine's mini convo, Alexis turned her head and looked over her shoulder to the both of them. ::
"We need to get going, now."
:: Finally turning her body, the blonde took a stride forward; her healed boots making a soft clicking sound. Looking past the two woman to Cameron and Haleigh once again, whatever they were talking about seemed important, and it irked her that they were being so secretive. Nevertheless, Alexis turned her attention back to Delilah and Jasmine. ::
"Morgan's most likely already attacked where Alycia and Sharon are being held. She can obviously hold her own for the time being, but we need to get to her ASAP."
:: Watching as Delilah agreed with her, Alexis took a step forward, gaping the distance between the two blondes. Looking to Cameron and Haleigh once again, Alexis cocked a brow. ::
"Let's go Starsky and Hutch."

** As Delilah hesitated with the suit, Jasmine remained stoic at first. However when Morningstar wore it she fought an urge to smirk. She sensed the discomfort in the cop but she didn't say any sort of remark. She kept her thoughts to herself but this situation was fantastic. Here was her one true enemy and she offered her help even though she knew Star detested it. Jasmine knew how proud and independent Delilah was plus her friendship with Blaze. She knew it haunted the cop to see her yet she felt pleasure from that same pain. Twisted wasn't it? Out of everyone on this team Jasmine was one of the three darker souls with Morgan and Haleigh ahead of her. Light little clicks sounded in her eardrum indicating Shockwave. Ah yes that spunky blonde with intense blue eyes. She seemed somewhat aloof but why? Jasmine was curious of her she knew this was the woman her sister shamelessly flirted with. What was so grand about her? Frost didn't see it but hey everyone had their own tastes. **
** Walking a few steps behind Morningstar and Shockwave she frowned from the scent of perfume. Who on earth would wear that in battle. She disregarded Del and immediately knew it was Alexis. Was the woman trying to seduce the enemy or cover up foul body odor. Jasmine was amused by her own thoughts as she lightly smiled but knew the last guess was wrong. All these members were prissy except for Morningstar, she seemed normal and somewhat down to earth. Glancing over her shoulder she saw no sign of Cameron or Haleigh. They wouldn't be copulating would they? No, another provocative thought she guessed. Keeping in step with the other two women Frost kept her thoughts to herself as Morningstar expertly waved her hands into the air. Well, the girl's a big o'l strobe light, bet she's fun around parties. Jasmine waited for Black Widow and Prophet to appear while the three women waited for them. Tick tock, Jasmine began to visualize what the Senator looked like and that obnoxious lawyer. If it were her call she'd stitch their pretty little mouths shut. Jasmine turned to the two blondes with a curious look. **
"Are they always so secretive? I thought this was a team where your all kept up to date instead of left in the dark. But then again - I'm new here."
** Jasmine was half tempted to tell these ladies but of course they would be skeptical especially Delilah so she reframed from leaking the "top secret" information. One day would come when it would prove worthy, but for now she'd keep it secure. Everyone's got that one character you absolutely Love, to hate, Jasmine Fielding is it! **

Haleigh checked her watch as she awaited Zach's return.... and as she looked down at it, Cameron took her by the arm and began dragging her off into the next room. Haleigh gave him an astonished look... WHY was he so eager to talk to her all of a sudden? It had to be the first time they'd directly spoken since BEFORE Nervous.... Haleigh yanked her arm from his touch as soon as the door swung closed behind them... she stared at him, unable to muster a glare.... she was upset with how distant he'd been... but she was more hurt than angry and found difficulty in understanding his behavior now, and so she kept quiet as he began to speak. She leaned against a counter and pulled out a pen and clicked it, setting on the counter next to her, and gestured for him to continue. The pen jammed any listening devices as well as her transmitting comms. She crossed her arms and gave him a stern look that silently said 'Well??'
She narrowed her eyes as he spoke.... she somehow knew he was telling the truth... but at the same time... she didn't want to believe him.... she didn't want to believe that someone close to her was a double agent... whether they were 'watching over' her or not... she didn't like the idea of being watched... and furthermore.... she was affronted when he suggested that this group might have MORE resources than Clandestine.... and the idea that HE knew before she did.... she didn't like it at all... she revolted the idea... but didnt shoot him down outright... instead, she sidestepped him with something that was more bothersome, to her, with a slightly abrasive comment.
"WHY are you even telling me this, You don't TRUST me, REMEMBER?? How can you STAND THERE, and act like everything between us is FINE? How?? There was SO MUCH between us... but ever since before Nervous you've not spoken to me.... yet here you are... talking to me like nothing's wrong BUT IT IS! EVERYTHING'S wrong between us, can't you see that? You know what..." She says, unfolding her arms and waving one dismissively, standing up and taking her pen from the counter as she started for the door. "I can't do this with you... not now.... not now. She stopped, just as she was about to brush past him. She looked up at him, locking eyes, and sighed. They were standing only a few centimeters apart and it was a good thing, too.... because Haleigh's voice had dropped considerably in volume, and was now just above a whisper, and it seemed as though she was having trouble getting the words out at all.
"If... I hurt you... that's not what I wanted."
She held eye contact for a few seconds more until Morningstar's voice sounded through the walls, prompting them to hurry. Haleigh brushed past Cameron and reached out to the door, resting her hand on the knob as she turned around, placing her back to the wall that separated her and Cameron from the rest of the team [and subsequently placing her back to Jasmine, thus unknowingly preventing Jasmine from being able to read her lips as she spoke again].
"You know... I think it comical how you act like I am such a treacherous snake... yet here you are, witholding some rather IMPORTANT information from us... I mean sure, you just told me... but in SECRECY... how long are you planning on keeping this from them? Don't YOU think they deserve to know they're being 'watched'? Look.... if you want to enlist Omega-4's help, I wont stop you... but I think its only fair to consider that if Vivica has been lying to you all this time.... she COULD very well be manipulating you now.... perhaps Omega-4 is NOT what she says it is...perhaps they are the next group to try to take us down... do you REALLY want to be the one with the burden of making that kind of evaluation, when ALL our LIVES hang in the balance?? I know a good deal about Pipeline as well... I've seen the file MYSTECH has been keeping on him... and I have a prototype weapon that can JAM telephone hardlines and ethernet lines... the type of transportation he uses... and without the ability to move so freely... it should be a lot easier to pin him down. DNA locking is easy... I can do it myself.... if you want to ask for Omega-4's assistance... i don't care, do as you wish... but i want NO PART in your UNDERHANDED WHEELING AND DEALING... and I want that to be VERY clear."
Haleigh clicks her pen off and pulls the door open, leaving the room with haste, as she sees Zach appear. Jasmine is all the way across the room, but Haleigh can still hear her question to Delilah and Alexis. She begins taking off her 'civilian' clothes as she crosses the room and Zach takes out her track-suit style battle gear.
"NO, we aren't...anymore.... in FACT... that's the first time he's directly spoken to me in WEEKS."
She quickly pulls on her battle tech and opens a metal case, looking for the weapon she told Cameron about. She pockets it and stands, walking over to the group after giving Zach a parting kiss. She looked at Jasmine, a quizzical look entering her eyes, though her face remained blank. Jasmine seemed different than the girl that Haleigh had taken in last night... the girl who had slept so peacefully while recovering from injury.... but Haleigh said nothing...

[ MorningStar paused for a second at that last statement, and wondered if she should TELL them that that was too much information, then thought the better of it. ]
"Alrighty then..."
[ She motioned to the tunnel she had created. ]
"Transportation, as requested. Think of it sort of like a wormhole, but much more stable...it will take us directly to the warehouse. Just like that."
[ She snapped her fingers, then motioned for the others to go through. ]
"After you all - I go last in order to keep it open."
[ She stepped closer to Haleigh, then whispered conspiratorially. ]
"Uh, before we go, can you just do a quick, uh...She didn't booby-trap this suit or anything, right?"

:: Haleigh's words hit Cameron like daggers to his soul. As much as he wanted to pretend like what she was saying wasn't true, it was. When Cameron sealed off his telepathic abilities that wasn't the only thing he changed most of the things subconsciously. He shut himself off from Haleigh because he wanted to be closer to Alison and Morgan. He wanted them to trust him more than everything. One of Cameron's biggest personality flaws was that he wanted to be accepted. He just hadn't anticipated that Haleigh would love him for exactly who he was. He never wanted to hurt her the way he did. He loved Haleigh probably even more than he was close to Vivica. Oh God. He didn't expect it at all. He loved Haleigh. How could he have hurt her like this? He knew that without his telepathic powers that he would be forced to feel emotions he never really felt before but this emotion was almost overwhelming and he caught the tears in his throat before exposing them to Haleigh. It wasn't the right time. He could only look at her hurt gaze. Different body, different appearance, same girl he loved. ::
"Haleigh.. Haleigh please. That is never what I wanted. Ever.. I made mistakes and I didn't think about you. I am sorry.. but you're right this isn't the right time.. I owe you a conversation.. and we will have it whether you want to or not.. I owe you at least that..."
:: Cameron followed her out of the room and towards Delilah where he too hear Jasmine's comment and could only roll his eyes. He was still a little choked up at Haleigh's comment but not enough to comment on the bitch of a woman in front of him ::
"Oh don't worry Jasmine! Later we'll all wear pink pajamas and eat ice cream in my penthouse and talk about how much we love each other's hair. Sorry this isn't the family you hoped for. It must be hard for you, representing the ghost of a person that people actually liked... Let's go..."
:: He was ready to go into battle. His emotions would serve him well as he knew that when his emotions were heightened he was able to focus more raw energy into evicerating anything in front of him. Noting the amazing display of light in the transportation wormhole he smiled. ::
"Delilah Trevalen you amaze me more everyday.."
:: He was the first to step through ::

:: Standing in her trademark body countouring battle suit with gloves and stilletto heeled boots. Alison would be on the OTHER end of the portal, waiting for the group. Her hair was back in the sleek trademark bun she was known for...and her cobalt blue eyes seemed to GLOW among the shadows cast along the rooftop.
she noted that it was the first time Delilah had used her power in this fashion and a sign that she had grown far more effective with it since her time on Valiant. but also, the group would FINALLY lay eyes on their missing team mate..::
:: she stood on the roof top, of the same building that Morgan had landed on a while earlier....and as the sounds of chaos and explosions leaked through the battered warehouse across the way, Guardian looked down in her gloved hand, she was holding the Siege Perilous.....which shimmered as its owner gazed upon it. the only time THIS terrifying gem manifested was in times of GRAVE distress.... Alison had a surprise for the group....although one among them not be so thrilled to see it.::

** Frost smirked at Delilah's comment to Haleigh. She could hear almost perfectly, perhaps it was Blaze's gift bestowed on her. Her back turned to the two blondes as Haleigh inspected her friends suit. Haleigh would find this suit more sophisticated than her own and if anything it would boost Delilah's powers but nothing to harm her, if anything it would insure her safety. **
** She stopped when Cameron directed his comment at her. Licking her glossy lips she coolly brought down her dark sunglasses. "A representation? Hardly...Blaze got herself killed by her emotions and I refuse such things. She was fooled by the heart and that's how we differ. I prefer to keep things simple and precise, and the fact we have the same face only haunts you this me, remember that my dear. And unlike yourself I don't require approval I can manage fine by myself."
** Following behind Prophet she smirked to herself. Her smile faded becoming serious now. Preparing herself for battle as her silvery eyes noted Guardian at the end of the tunnel. Observing the ground she saw the chaos that ensued, Morgan no doubt. Kneeling down to the ground her glove rubbed against the rugged soil as her eyes studied the wreckage. **

Haleigh'd heard Cameron as she left the room, but didn't respond because she would rather not call everyone's attention to their topic of conversation... but anyone who looked closely at the two of them as they left the room would realize whatever they had discussed struck a chord with both of them. Haleigh gracefully smiled in thanks as Delilah gestured towards their 'wormhole', and she watched as Prophet and Frost, who were the closest, went through first. Haleigh was about to follow when Delilah quiet caught her eye, so she slowed and turned to Delilah with undivided attention. Haleigh gave her a sly smile and asked quietly:
"Oh, so, did you want me to TELL YOU about the C4 taped across your back?" Breaking into a wider, more disarming smile that let Morningstar know she was just teasing, Haleigh gave Delilah the once over and shrugged. "So many damn bells and whistles on this thing you probably wont be able to use half of its potential... why do SOME people think more is better? You should stick with what WORKS... not constantly be thinking about what gadgets you can design to shoot out of your ass next. It doesn't SEEM to be malignant... of course... you could've waited for the SOMEDAY that my gear arrived, and then you wouldn't be worried that she'd sabatoged yours...." She said coyly, quietly, echoing a statement Frost had made earlier, after Haleigh had LEFT the room... which would make it clear to Delilah [and subsequently, to Jasmine] that Haleigh had keen hearing of her own... and that she could process both her conversation with Cameron... AND the conversation between the other three in the next room simultaneously... and the idea would likely make Jasmine wonder HOW LONG Haleigh'd been listening... and if Haleigh had heard the conversation about Jasmine's child just after Morgan had departed.... Haleigh HAD heard it... ALL of it... but she was careful not to show it... for she was now beginning to wonder about Jasmine... WHY hadn't she said anything to Hlaeigh last night about her daughter... when Haleigh could've protected her daughter as well... and WHAT ELSE was the mutant hiding?? Haleigh continued to Delilah, 'conspiring' with her... telling her the thought that was really coming to mind.
"Perhaps what you should be ASKING yourself is not if the suit is rigged... because even Jasmine wont be brazen enough to pull a stunt like that in front of us all... but rather WHY she gave you the suit... what is her motivation? Does she REALLY feel in debt to you, and just wanted to reciprocate, in which case we should dismiss it.... or maybe she's trying to upstage me, in which case we should ask ourselves WHY she would want to do that, when I've done nothing but help her... or MAYBE she just wants you to THINK she's helping you, to get you to drop your guard and trust her so she can stab you in the back.... or maybe she hates you so much she just wants to be able to lord this generosity over you for a little while... ah... the possibilities are endless... give you a headache, doesn't it? Don't worry... I'm watching her closely... and if I get any instincts... I won't keep them to myself... Blaze I trust with my life... but her sister switches sides like a Gemini... and I just don't know what to make of her yet... every time I form an opinion on her she pulls a fast one.... but let's not hang back too long, they'll think something's up."
Haleigh gives a single, reassuring nod as she leaves Delilah's side, a fleeting thought on how strange it was that Delilah seemed to trust her enough to ask her to greenlight her suit... and she approached Jasmine and Cameron from behind, and countering Jasmine's comment to Cameron with a retort... and now purposefully giving Jasmine a hint that she could hear well also. ;)
"Blaze felt emotion and grounded us all by doing so, she kept us all more humane than not.... she loved each of us with all her heart and THAT is what made her beloved by us, one and all. I think you'll find that denying emotions is an unhealthy pratice... it is denying your very nature... your HUMANITY.... and you will ALWAYS pay a dear price for denying humanity.... I did."
Haleigh looked up and smiled, finally somewhat relieved... the fact that it was because she saw Alison was a mark to how much the whole dynamic of the group really HAD changed... Haleigh glanced to the smoking ruins that the abandonned factory was now, and knew instantly where Morgan had gotten to, even as her handheld beeped.
"Alison! Glad you could finally join us... we've been wondering what you were up to. We've had a trying morning... but I bet you know that... Morgan had gotten a headstart... and now that I have a lock on her location... we should catch up with her before she teleports and I lose her again. I've got active trackers on Sharon Kelly and Alycia Barnett as well... and my 'lowjack device', for lack of better terms... with let us know when we near them."

:: Guardian's face remained rather expressionless as she watched everyone emerge from the worm hole. it closed and there they were, with Jasmine and Haleigh noting the damage to the OUTSIDE of the building.::
:: the siege perilous sparkled a bit, as if it were reacting to the presence of someone present. Guardian kept it firmly gripped in her gloved hand::
:: as Haleigh responded, Guardian spoke. her tone was once again cold and business like with just a hint of a lilt.::
Yes, this morning's catastrophe was revealed to me before, as we had discussed. the one anamoly i couldn't anticipate entirely was PIPELINE. he managed to allude me when he arrived through the communication lines of the courthouse, but NOT once they had reconstituted themselves OUTSIDE the building. Since it was impossible to carry out the trial OTHER steps had to be taken. One thing about MysTech...they definately will exploit their own to achieve their goal and Victor's "rescue" was nothing more than a stepping stone for pipeline to get closer to Sharon and Alycia....he would have been BURIED by Alycia and given the death penalty had the trial concluded...but
:: looking upon Jasmine with an unforgiving glare, Guardian faced the whole group...with her other hand behind her back::
and as for Victor Klein.....
:: she brings her hand forward and FLINGS the DECAPITATED head of Victor Klein to the ground it lands..with a sickening bone rattling sound just at the feet of Haleigh and Jasmine. the face of the severed head is frozen in painfull, shocking fear.::
I took care of him myself.
:: she stood, the shadows cast over her as her cobalt blue eyes glowed. the group knew alison was more than capable of killing. several of them had seen her do so in the past but THIS...this was unexpected and now the group had an idea of what Alison had been up to.::
his body is destroyed....i froze his head before shattering his skeletal system and then blowing him up.
Alycia and Sharon are about to be physically assaulted by Riley, a true sociopath. The two women will try to fight...a true testament to their courage and tenacity but we must get them out of here...before Master Mold is activated.
:: Without giving anything to what Jasmine's reaction would be to the fact that Alison had brutally killed her father , Guardian BLINKED from the roof top down to the ground in front of the doors of the warehouse...Guardian simply pushed the doors and they fell open..the group now had access inside the large open "factory" area which was littered with broken bodies, melted slag, scorch marks...Spellbinder had obviously gone to town in the initial battle::
we have to go down three levels. Shockwave you and MorningStar can use your elecrtical and light based powers to jam and scramble those few surveilance cameras that are still online. this will provide Black Widow time to locate and UNLOCK the secrect shaft to bring us down to the dungeon. Be advised...some of the more agressive "bio hazards" are awaiting us there...not to mention Riley, who appeares to have a genetic make up that is MORE than human but I am unable to determine if he is a mutant.
:: Guardian seems to effortlessly take the role of "leader", after all, she was the team's tactician and second in command after Morgan. she wanted to move the team along as quickly as possible for all the while, her "mind's eye" was on the "countdown" of when MasterMold would become SELF AWARE.::
Black Widow, use your abilities to gain us entry to the shaft and i suggest you arm yourself with a plasma cannon...the bio hazard's below were engineered to withstand artillery shells from battle tanks. nothing LESS than how powered, ENERGY based weapons or attacks will do.
:: she leads the way, while MorningStar and Shockwave jam and scramble all surveilance devices.::

** Following behind Prophet, Frost glanced over her shoulder seeing Haleigh beside her. Her angelic looks were enough to fool any enemy but even Jasmine found it difficult when she looked at Haleigh. The Haleigh she once knew was older and not this young and petite thing. None the less, she turned to lock eyes on the blonde who made a few comments about her sister. Frost allowed the Metamorph to speak her peace. She knew Haleigh's devices and her own natural abilities to hear and it didn't bother her. Instead she expected it, which would almost wander WHY she spoke about her daughter, Emily to Violet, her second in command. Jasmine was a cryptic character but beneath the vast space of ice was a heartfelt woman with equal passion as her sister and even a humane nature. With the Six she preferred to block that emotion for fear of her daughter or becoming weak. **
** As she stood up after surveying the landscape she noted the icy glare Guardian directed at her. She locked eyes with the Seer but without conveying emotion. However when a rolling head came barreling towards herself and Haleigh, Jasmine immediately placed her boot out to halt the head as her eyes fell to the decapitated head. Furry burned in her eyes as they flashed that unnatural flaming color. She was only angry that she wasn't able to slaughter the monster who created her. Clenching her jaw, she took a step back and fired a massive mighty kick to her father's head that soared in the air a few hundred feet away. **
** Suddenly the environment changed as Guardian blinked the team down to the interior of the underground lair. For a moment she felt her equilibrium off balance as she staggered a few steps. Unlike the others she wasn't used to this mode of transportation. Which Blaze too had difficulty adjusting in the beginning. Placing a gloved hand to her forehead she steadied herself for a moment. Pressing the other free hand against the wall to gather her surroundings. The velocity at which Guardian transported the team showed the woman's power, strength, and intelligence over time. Shaking it off she straightened up once more. Observing this new level as Guardian fed orders to the others, she noted how the Seer left herself and Prophet out, which meant they would probably be stuck working together. Unless Alison had plans for the wintery mutant instead. Her powers would be useless on this battle unless she could tape into Blaze's fire power which could be considered a form of energy. But calling on that power didn't come naturally, so she'd have to rely on her training as an Assassin and martial artist. **
** Her thoughts drifted to Victor at the very second. In a way she felt freed from her prison of carnage and chaos. Swatting the thoughts of her deceased "father" she addressed Guardian, for the first time in a way. **
"And what of I? How am I to assist?"

:: As Cameron stepped through the portal he saw the Siege Perilous glimmering in Alison's hands. This was a little strange as the last person that the gem had been used on was Kelly King his own mother. Was there a threat here that actually needed this to be used? It was a little scary as he wasn't sure what he was getting himself into. He watched in shock as Alison threw the head of Victor Klein as it landed in front of Jasmine and Haleigh. In his head he smirked as the move was just completely Alison Marble. He wanted to hug his sister for getting the job done and throwing it in Jasmine's face. ::
"Well.. one down and one to go right? Let's go..."
:: Making his way down to the now open factory doors and was the first to see the carnage left in the wake of Morgan's destruction to get into the building. The bodies and scorch marks. This was no doubt Morgan's work. He kept the thoughts to himself and just hoped Jasmine would take note of the slaughter and realize that if she REALLY wanted to throw down with Morgan that the Sorceress would annihilate her ass. He was at the front of the pack behind Alison as he soon caught up to her. ::

::walking along, leading the group still, she soon heard her brother's voice. his question suggested that he suspected just how grim things could become during this caper::
yes, cameron, as a matter of fact it IS going to get that bad. this gem is the gate way to the ULTIMATE "cosmic judgement"...it also represents the cosmic gateway to an infinite space of possibilities/realities. it may be the only way to save ourselves and the city from what will become the most devastating move MysTech has made TO DATE.

[ Delilah gave Haleigh a look at her C4 comment, then let out a small laugh. They may have their differences, but she trusted Haleigh's technical knowledge. She listened to what she had to say about Jasmine - and she knew Haleigh was right. She wasn't about to take the whole thing for any more than it was. As Haleigh walked towards the wormhole, she spoke. ]
"Don't worry - I don't trust her as far as I can throw her."
[ She paused for a sec as she thought about that. ]
"And I could throw her pretty far...might be fun actually."
[ She walked through the tunnel, closing it behind her. Initially feeling relief at seeing Alison there, it was replaced with awe as she saw the damage that had been inflicted by Morgan. Then Alison tossed Victor's head in front of them...
She felt conflicted between knowing that Klein was a monster and the laws that she had pledged to uphold, the belief in bringing criminals to justice in a court of law. Alison seemed different, and it worried her, the same way that the destruction around them worried her about how far down the dark path Morgan had gone.
She put a reassuring hand on Alison's shoulder, briefly, before focusing on the task at hand. Noticing the security cameras watching them, she held out her arm, palm facing out, and created a focused flash of light, in effect frying their sensors. ]

** Well, wasn't Guardian the charmer? At least the Seer didn't beat around the bush. As she addressed Frost, the mutant smirked at her rather demanding comment. Oooh how this team detested her, which only made her job easier. But only the clever and cunning would understand why Jasmine was cold hearted and rather two faced. A much deeper meaning than any of them knew, although perhaps Haleigh would uncover that in time. And if she did the Metamorph would be in for a shocker. Only then would the tables turn and the team would look at Frost much differently. **
"Whatever you say Ms. Marble."
** Placing emphasis on Guardian's last name when she looked away. Her hand moving up to her chest as she leveled her breathing. Every now and then her wound would ache and cause the mutant pain. But she made sure the team didn't see it, not that they'd care for her. Her suit beeped inside her ear bud. Turning to the back of the group she pressed a gloved finger to her ear bud as her green eyes went wide in shock. Violet had notified her of Emily and her progress. Her mind connecting to her comrade and dear cousin who guarded her beautiful daughter. **
Please Violet, watch over Emily a little further until I can return home. But to inform you....my father is destroyed, someone less to worry about but he was the least of my worries about Emily. She still dreams of the hooded spirit I know...its him....the one who scarred me before I arrived in New York. He's after her...but as I said I'll deal with him later. For now...tell Emily I love her and I miss her dearly...I'll see you both soon.
** She ended her thoughts to Violet but when she did there was a sadness in her hunter green eyes. She was grateful for the dark sunglasses to mask such emotion. Her emotions clutching her heart the more she struggled. The suit began to beep more frantically as Frost's body temperature rose 10 degrees in two seconds. Turning she crouched down by one of the dead bodies, checking for any sort of fallen clues. It was worth a shot as her gloves ran around the suit but found nothing. Staring into the pitch black dull eyes of a dead corpse, Jasmine raised her sunglasses as her eyes probed his soul. While the rest of the group discussed battle strategy. Standing up to her medium sized height she stared off into space. She seemed troubled but why or what was unknown. Frost wore the same worried look Blaze had when upset about an event or someone she deeply cared for. And as her eyes didn't blink they revealed much emotion, more than she wanted to share or even realized. Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear she glanced up to see Morningstar head out for work. Nibbling on her bottom lip she was quiet and observant during Alison and Cameron's discussion, not bothering to eavesdrop. Hidden inside her suit was the engagement ring Michael gave to her, which Jasmine never took off. His death always burned her and how he was killed was brutal and awful. Like Jasmine he too was a mutant but a group of bandits captured and tortured him because he was considered a "freak." Leaving Jasmine and little Emily behind. It was the secret she kept buried for so long...not even her father knew of. It was her one precious gift in her screwed up life. **
** Sucking it up she tried to push her family away but Haleigh was right...no matter how hard you tried, emotions were there. Damn her! Jasmine's stomach felt uneasy and rather nauseous. She had to concentrate on the two they came to rescue. That familiar lump in her throat returning as she clenched her fists tightly. Shutting her eyes tightly she thought of Blaze. What would she do? Her sister would calm herself and move forward. Opening her eyes she was ready to proceed with this mission. **

"Alison... I'm proud of you... this is impressive."
Haleigh said, as she looked up from Victor' head, now at her feet. "You've been taking care of business." She smiled, but as Jasmine punted the head away she turned to look to Jas. She hadn't considered that Jasmine would be so upset about her fathers death... but then... she probably wanted to do it herself. Haleigh couldn't see Jasmine's eyes, but her body language was enough for the trained eye to see. Haleigh looked back up at Alison as she talked about Alycia and Sharon, and nodded, but a question came to mind.
"Wait... Riley? As in Commander RICK RILEY, of the Marines? I knew him... when I was in the Navy. When he was released from the Marines I tried to get him to work for me... but Mystech had reached him FIRST. Good man... I worked with his brother. I heard what happened... its a shame... but Bush is a damn crook.... many people have lost their lives needlessly because of him."
Haleigh had no problem being blinked, and stepped forward as Alison pushed the doors down. She looked at the wreckage in silence, beginning to navigate through it all. She listens to Cameron and Alison as she follows, glancing around to make sure they wont be ambushed, a futuristic looking carbine weapon appearing in her arms, that is the plasma cannon Alison suggested. Haleigh nodded at her instructions and tells Alison she's ready, to just lead the way downstairs. Haleigh's handheld notifies her that Frost's vitals are changing, but Haleigh says nothing... she had a microchip implanted in Jasmine the night before so she could monitor her progress the next day while she was at the courthouse.... and now it seemed to be useful anyway... because it was obvious [to her, anyway] that Jasmine was being secretive about something. The longer Haleigh observed the more she would know, so for the moment, she didnt call attention to the fact that she knew anything more than the rest of the group did.

:: Looking back at Jasmine for a quick second Cameron shot his gaze back to Alison smirking at his own predicament. ::
"It's times like these I wish I didn't turn off my telepathy. I could be reading her right now..."
:: He went back to the task at hand as he began to survey the area as well. His thoughts kept going back to Jasmine. For whatever reason, she seemed to be an enigma that his human ability of perception wouldn't allow him to let go of. He wanted to know everything about her. It wasn't that long ago that Kelly King came into their fold and completely fooled them all for a rather long time. She was inpenetrable. Now she was coming into their fold and not giving any information about herself and they were all just supposed to trust her as if she were Blaze herself, when he never fully trusted Blaze in the first place, a thought he never revealed to the other members of the group except for Haleigh. He guessed he was just jealous of the way she seemed to be like a chameleon able to adapt to any sort of person or situation. He tried to shake the thoughts away as he turned back to his sister. ::
"I know you think the same things I do about her.. but I digress.. What am I acting as here? I feel so helpless lately.. but then again you always did the foresight thing better than I did..."
:: He gave out a nervous laugh ::

:: Looking to Alison who finally decided to grace the group with her presents, a wicked smile appeared on Alexis' lips at the mention of Victor being dead. Well, not exactly him being dead...but how he was killed. Casting a glance to Jasmine, she let out a low chuckle before rolling her eyes and brushing past the woman. ::
"Now if you could only do that to his offspring."
:: Glancing over her shoulder coldly to Jasmine as Alexis continued to walk toward Alison, she could care less if Blaze wanted her sister in this group or not. Jasmine would have to earn Alexis' respect--regardless if she wanted it or not--and earn her place in this group. And right now she was nothing but a body full of hot air. Folding her arms along her chest, Alexis narrowed her eyes as she listened to everyone speak amongst themselves. Letting out a low sigh, she nodded every now and then showing she understood the task at hand. ::
"Delilah and I should head in first; disrupt any camera's or sensors of any kind, like you said. We shouldn't all go in at once, just in case it's a trap...If we get caught, atleast the rest of you can get to Sharon and Alycia."
:: Looking to Delilah, Alexis shifted her eyes back to Alison awaiting an answer. Delilah and Alexis' powers were very similiar, and with Delilah's transporting abilities, they were extremely strong together. And although Alexis never really liked Delilah, she couldn't deny the fact that they were both a force to be reckoned when put together. ::

"Hey. That's enough.... from BOTH of you." Haleigh begins sternly, looking from Cameron to Alexis. "I KNOW none of you trust her and she suspects you ALL hate her just the same...and that is somethign i cannot and WILL not blame or reprimand you for.... but come on... none of that drama is needed... NOT when innocent lives HANG in the balance.... so please... just this once... lets put our TRUST in Blaze... for we ALL know... she would NEVER knowingly put us in danger." Haleigh's gaze passes from person to person, silently asking her teammates to take their talons back out of Jasmine. When her eyes fall to Jas, however, her countenance changes, as if to say 'I'm trying here, help me out, make it easier.' She turns to Alison and tries to make the most of having everyone's attention as her handheld transmits as message into her ear piece.
"Come on... they've moved Sharon down to the dungeon with Barnett.... they believe it we make them easier to 'protect'.... fortunately... itll make them easier to steal... we just need to pick up the pace... because my sensors indicate they are powering up for something."
Haleigh raised her weapon as they came down a darkened corridor... there was blood smeared and splattered on the walls and the floor and the lights were either broken completely out or they were sparking and flickering... but what she was really up in arms about was just ahead of them... the corridor was met by another in a 'T' shape... and there were two paths ahead of them... one was a ninety degree corner and one was straight ahead... things were silent and as they neared it everyone fell silent, listening for the same thing Haleigh was.... She weaved around her teammates, approaching the corner first, and then signaled for them to hold their position. She slowly walked towards the corner, slightly crouched, her footfalls silent and her movements fluid... she almost seemed... phantom like. She quickly rounded the corner and crossed to the other side, but didnt fire. She looked down the hall... and few men lay where they had fallen coming to met Spellbinder... but as Haleigh looked down the other corridor she found the carnage continued on.
She waved the group on past the hall, gesturing straight ahead in the direction they were already traveling. "I guess we keep going straight then... finding Morgan should be easy." Haleigh shakes her head as the group moves on, and talks to Alexis, but keeps her eyes scanning warily. "No... I think we should stick together... we are stronger as a GROUP... even in the case of an ambush... we would all be more vulnerable in the event of separation... and since you to are the ones with primary powers that will be most helpful against the Cell... you can understand why the rest of us would not want to part with you.... besides.... if you got caught... and we got separated... you know we would stay and try to recover you... and that would waste precious time we do NOT have."
Haleigh was always singing the same song... theres no 'i' in team, they should all get along, they were more powerful as a team, yada yada yada... but Haleigh was the most 'team' oriented of them all... and who could blame her... for after all.... had she been wrong about it yet?

<< it was a dimly lit cavernous journey for the group....with only MorningStar's natural radiating luminescence, Guardian's precognition and Black Widow's scanning devices to provide a clear path through the dark, murky way. the wound of dripping could be heard echoing through the rocky expanse..and a path of concealed lighting seemed to run through the rocky walls...somehow built in without changing much of the structure.>>
<< bones of corpses long dead , even BEFORE Spellbinder's carnage, could be seen....and that was a reminder of the bio hazards that lurked in the darkness.>>
<< even as Haleigh admonished members of the group to pull together, her scans would detect 5 OTHER "life forms" besides that of the group. all at once.....five SETS of "eight eyes" began to flicker and glow red HIGH ABOVE and surrounding them. a dreaded, FAMILIAR growling was heard....it was ANT LIONS, the same creatures that Alison had allowed to attack Cameron and Haleigh so many months ago. this must have been a new batch....and they now surrounded the group. the massive, genetically engineered arachnids were 10 ft tall, possesing super strength, speed and rockey armored bodies that granted them high levels of durability. their jaws could crack stone and easily smash human bone and flesh.>>
--------------
meanwhile, far ahead in another area underground
<< Morgan passed through a corridor with what apeared to be dungeon "windows' set low to the floor. inside some of those horrid dungeons were the bodies of men long broken by the torture of Riley. some were dead, others were horribly disfigured or genetically altered. some gurgled or cried out as Morgan passed...reaching their boney, decaying hands out toward her high heeled boots.>>
<< Morgan was disgusted, as she covered her mouth and nose. the smell of death and despair was so thick ...not to mention human waste.>>
this...monster of a man. what has he been DOING to this people!! what has he done to sharon and alycia!? by the soul of hecate...ill feed him to the demons MYSELF if he's hurt them!
<< gritting her teeth, morgan shook her head as she kept moving..trying NOT to stray out of a straight line down the middle of the corridor>>
and our government is covertly IN LEAGUE with these bastards....its a wonder our country hasnt gone into nuclear melt down or some kind of civil war ...AGAIN!
<< continuing along, Morgan hadnt really THOUGHT about the others and where they might be. she was so driven to get here and AWAY from Jasmine ...AND Blaze. She had attacked the building and its defenses with a blood thirsty glee...but now she seemed to be more centered and AWARE of herself and her actions. the sorceress was powerfull, cold hearted and mistress of a realm which would be the stuff most people's NIGHTMARES are made of....but still this dungeon and what she was now seeing prooved to be horrific even for HER as her icy violet eyes widened at the site of a broken body that had been skinned, crucified and was now covered in maggots and other bugs....including snake like creatures>>
<< she gasped as she staggered back...looking around...she realized she had walked into a DEAD END.....a bad move on her part....as a large snake began to lower itself from the black enshrouded ceiling above.....while at the same time... 3 large, genetically energineered Kimono Dragons, who are now larger than the average sized male, possessing the power to fire bolts of acid as well as massive fangs, super strength and speed. lumbered into view...zeroing in on the sorceress' sent. they blocked her way OUT of the dead end...while the snake was coming closer....and once Morgan saw the snake, her eyes widen.....she ....
<<SCREAMS!!!>>
<< her scream would no doubt reverberate throughout the dungeon....and it was a scream of PANIC which would suggest to those who knew her that an extreme, VIOLENT reaction would probably follow.>>

:: Sharon Kelly soon awakened, feeling the cold of the stone floor. the darkness around her eased the pain of consciousness...and as she struggled to reassert her awareness, she soon saw a battered Alycia lying unconscious across the way. the pain in her own body made her WINCE when she even tried to move. tears welled up in the beautiful senator's eyes...as she realized that she and Alycia could very well DIE here.::

Commander Rick Riley: The Six are ALL inside the building, with Spellbinder the closest. now that you've shunted all the valuable information and essential personell to other locations, PREPARE MasterMold for initialization. I've got some last minute business to attend to with the prisoners Barnett and Kelly
Sharon ::thinking:: if i can just reach Alycia.....make sure she's okay.....UGH...my ribs...feel broken...it hurts to breathe. almost hurts to THINK. but...i must reach her...we have to......stay together....maybe......Morgan and The Six....
::she cried out in pain as her hand was STEPPED ON by Riley's boot::
Commander Rick Riley: who told YOU to move, Bitch?
:: he stood over her..hulking presence and all::
you're husband, Senator Robert Kelly, was as stubborn as you. That's why we killed HIM after we killed your son. You all were always in the way of us taking total control of key states on the east coast..
:: he kicked Sharon in the stomach again as looked over at Alycia::
don't worry about the pretty little black bird over there. You too will have plenty of time to bond once i give you some quality "PERSONAL" treatment.

PLEASE!! SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!
:: as he attempted to put his hand over her mouth, she bites down...and tries to KNEE him in the balls...but he prooves to be far more durable as he back hands her so hard with his fist....he knocks her out....her nose begins to bleed.
Riley: stupid white bitch. i'm glad you're making this hard. itll be fun to break your body just like i broke your spirit when i took your husband and your son all those years ago!

** Looking up as Haleigh reprimanded both Prophet and Shockwave, but the mutant nodded a 'thanks' to Black Widow. Her eyes drifted away when she inhaled an awful stench of dead flesh. Holding her breath she walked faster as she patrolled behind the team. She walked backwards to protect their six, a move Haleigh would know. Her green eyes scanned through the darkness as her back was to the Six. Her gloved hands pulsed a florescent blue as she created a massive ice wall in the back of the Six that wouldn't shatter easily to protect the team and herself from ambushes but when they came to the fork in the road, Frost spun around this time. **
** She sensed something up ahead as her temperature levels dropped to extreme sub zero levels as a heavy frost blended in with her suit. As they passed the other various bodies, Frost wondered if this was just from Spellbinder or if there was another element here. Progressing further through the hidden tunnels Haleigh's indicators beeped frantically from the lifesigns as she saw piercing red eyes. Blinking her eyes, where they spiders? Well, that was new. **
** Large spikes immediately protruded from Frost who was automatically acting to these hostile creatures. Her ice armor surrounded her as she raised her gloved hand in the air. The air currents spun around to mix with her ice power as she created an ice spear that was probably four feet long with other various ice spikes. Somersaulting she hurled the spear toward one of the spider's legs. Raising her shades so see better her eyes shadowed over to that metallic/midnight blue tint. As the spear feverishly flew toward the spider's leg, she hurled a vertical blast of ice for the spider's red eyes as she pivoted and flipped around to keep these creatures from targeting her. **
** She was testing how intelligent these life forms were, thus her attack was mostly simple, for now. She moved back, if she could get on top to puncture the eyes or even under the belly it would take one down. Rolling forward she shot a piercing chunk of ice toward one of the back legs as she pushed herself up. One of its other legs coming crashing down to crush her but Frost sprinted quickly as she ran up the side of the wall and backflipped as she thrusted one of her ice sais into the animal's leg, hoping to pin it to the wall. She glanced over to see how the others were doing. **
** As she did she heard a horrible scream that echoed in her ears but she recognized it was Morgan's. For some odd reason she wanted to be there, but why? She also depicted another cry of help but this was more hurried. From the distraction one of the spiders furiously hurled into Frost while it injured itself from her spikes. She flew into the air colliding with a wall as she slumped down, clouds of dust around her as she yelped in pain. **
"Oh yeah, I pissed it off."

"Uh... we've got company everyone... Haleigh listens... and growling begins from overhead.... so Haleigh halts in her path and looks straight up, dropping her weapon. "Oh look Cam.... friends of ours." Haleigh looks down, and her gaze lands on Alison.... they lock eyes but Haleigh gives a soft smile. "Well... we've dealt with them before.... and we can do it again." She says softly, as Frost begins an offensive front.
Spellbinder screams... and it is loud enough from the source for everyone to hear... "Morgan's in trouble!" Haleigh's more sensitive ears also pick up the muffled cries of Sharon Kelly as well.... and her handheld notifies her of the stress Kelly is experiencing. "So is Sharon! We've GOT to hurry.... NO! Don't fight back.... lets just run.... we can lead the Ant Lions RIGHT down to the dungeons... and with any luck... they'll tangle with whatever Morgan's fighting... or even better... we can lead them to attack whatever's hurting Sharon and Alycia... Delilah... when we get there... to whoever we find first, Morgan or Sharon and Alycia... can you create a BLINDING light? We can all hide behind it... and it'll hurt their eyes too much for them to come after us..."
Haleigh begins backing away in the direction they were going, putting space between them and the closest Ant Lion [which is coming after Frost] by firing a charged photon blast up into its head that is strong enough to knock it from its stance and flip it on its back... it gets stuck there, with all eight legs flailing, trying to get back up, and the others begin to drop down to attack them.

"I must have taken a bump on the head, you said you want us to run from these things?"
** She pushed her body up quickly, she felt the bruise already beginning to appear on her body. "All right, if you say so." She jumped over one of the spiders legs as she spun her body to supply enough space. Landing a few feet from Haleigh who also fired a massive blast at one of the creatures. She smiled as she watched her. **
"I can see I'm gonna owe you big time but...thank you."
** Her tone was sincere, there was no calculation in what she remarked to Black Widow. Backing up with her she saw more creatures jumping down and one of them was coming for Black Widow. Pivoting on her boot Jasmine spun her body around but this time it was a more powerful attack. As the Ant Lion was about to pounce on Black Widow from behind Jasmine's body whirled around like a tornado as she called upon her own kinetic energy of fire which erupted her body in a blaze of flames. With the beast lunging down Frost was able to ignite the creature in fire as it made an unholy scream. Foxfire's power was useful in this incident to protect Haleigh from being jumped. Frost spun faster in mid air as she sent the creature back a few feet. Dropping down to the ground level, Jasmine's eyes changed once more but this time the left was a blue tint and the right was a yellow tint. **
"How about that exit?"
** She called firmly to anyone as her eyes went wide with more spiders roaming in their direction. "Maybe we should take my way of traveling!" Thrusting both arms out a massive sheet of ice glided under the whole team that sent them sailing past the creatures and above them. In a way it felt like riding an escalator as Frost pushed them all ahead. It was that instinct that proved to keep her alive and she couldn't wait for the other members of the team to create an exit. Her ice slide was thick enough and durable enough to lift and keep the Six a lift. It was the first sign of life from the mutant as she lead them ahead. "Where are we going?" She yelled over her shoulder to Haleigh, "which direction." They sunk lower to avoid the other remaining Ant Lions until she accelerated and rose them to an incline degree. Everyone saw the power Frost wielded over the ice as they traveled in Morgan's direction. She settled the team down to a new position just about 500 feet from the Ant Lion lair. **

::Guardian heard her brother but didnt look over. she simply nodded slightly::
Jasmine, at this point is immaterial. I KNEW she'd become apart of our lives, but i delayed it by sending her away months ago because i knew Morgan or anyone else would not have been ready. EVERYTHING that has happened, so far, is the way it should be....with the exception of NERVOUS.
Jasmine will have to find her own way to a path of acceptance and any level of trust with this team. and quite frankly, I am not in the mood to "guard" her as i have the rest of us. We've all grown since we were first pulled together...
::Guardian trailed off ...she seemed exceptionally disdainfull of Jasmine and her mind's eye was focused on other things::
YOUR place on this team? :: she replied again to cameron:: ever since you're nightmare at the parthenon, you've been actively forging a new, BETTER path for yourself. You don't need ME to tell you where to go or what to do....just do what you've BEEN doing...follow your heart.
:: she looked over at him and in another RARE moment..a slight smile came over her beautiful, alabaster skinned face. Guardian was acknowledging the growth and understanding her baby brother had gained while with the team::
:: before long Guardian stopped, along with Haleigh and the others. five sets of 8 eyes began to flicker into view::
Ant Lions ::she said softly::
:: knowing how ravenous and vicious these genetically enhanced arachnids were, Guardian didnt challenge Black Widow's suggestion for them to retreat and try to reach the screaming Spellbinder or Sharon...letting the ant lions give chase and leading THEM to OTHER bio hazards. the less time the spend fighting....the faster they could reach their friends.::
::Guardian bravely brought up the rear of the group now as they ran. forming a forcefiled wall behind them that moved with them and BLOCKED the Ant LIons from gaining on them. she ALSO warped the temporal field of the group...causing everyone to cover more ground at a quicker pace. no one would realize how much FASTER they were moving until they now found themselves in the same dungeon corridor that Morgan had passed through earlier...and they beheld the same horrific sight that she did. For Haleigh...it was quite a shock to see what Rick Riley had wrought in his path of destruction....Guardian immediately "saw" what was happening to Morgan even though they had yet to reach her::
Morgan!! she's just ahead...surrounded by giant kimono dragons and a genetically altered anaconda....its attacking her....crushing HER!!! and Sharon......Riley is about to committ the act of RAPE....he's CHOCKING her. But Alycia will try to stop him.
:: Guardian pointed to where the team needed to move to get to Morgan::
MorningStar, prepare to unleash a stroboscopic flashbulb effect....strong enough to overload the senses of ALL the creatures once we reach Spellbinder. Blackwidow, once we were there...we need a way UP from that dead end....to cut our journey by more than half...we can BURROW through the rock and blast our way right into Riley's hidden nerve center.

** Dozens of horrific bodies lay scattered around the dungeon, some of them unrecognizable. Passing each one, Jasmine felt her stomach contract with the need to vomit. Stopping she hunched herself over as she coughed on her own saliva. She was the new kid on the block and although she had seen death before, nothing could prepare her for such a slaughterhouse. She refrained herself from getting sick and utterly embarrassing herself. The mutant felt woozy but Morgan's screams snapped her back into reality. Whether she liked it or not, her sister was in trouble! **
"Morgan.."
** She called out slowly. Jasmine could hear and feel the fear in Morgan's cry of terror. What would terrify her? Guardian answered that informing the team of the reptile and giant anaconda. Catching onto the Seer's plan of attack, Jasmine added to it. **
"While Shockwave and Morningstar distract the reptiles, I can secure cover through ice, it'll render Morgan invisible until the others can rescue her. All snakes hunt via infrared heat sensors its the primary tool since they can't ear. I can execute a fire attack to lure the snake away from Morgan. Snakes require heat but if I can confuse the beast enough with fire power until I lash out with ice, I could possibly render it unconscious while the others move in to help Morgan."
Harbinger
01-14-2006, 05:24 PM
:: Guardian replied to Frost as the team ran to find Morgan a short distance away. clearly this woman was an expert on reptiles...something that would come in handy for this situation::
rendering it unconscious is not enough.....this snake isnt merely a giant anaconda...its been genetically altered, as have most of the bio hazards. Once MorningStar blinds all of the creatures, I will teleblink Morgan from the snake's grasp...and YOU will use your power to DESTROY IT. Shockwave, Prohpet and Black Widow can deal with the dragons.
::Guardian's tone was clear, direct and unforgiving. she wanted the creature dead...and if Frost wouldnt do it, then SHE would::
but beware...it moves with the fluid speed of MERCURY. As soon as i teleblink her....it will likely lash out and attack blindly. and even though MorningStar will have blinded the creatures, the dragons will be able to lock onto our scents....ALL of these creatures must be destroyed.

"I planned on knocking it unconscious enough to paralyze it. All snakes move by scales but they've got a weakness on the underside of the stomach region. Once I stabbed the creature, I planned to kill it. But rather than waste time I'll just kill it."
** Frost liked how Guardian's mind worked, it proved her theory just shoot first and ask questions later. The mutant had studied reptiles while in college and she had a vast knowledge of the. She studied Anaconda's, she knew what they were capable of but because this was genetically engineered that would make her job more difficult. **
** Sprinting to Morgan's direction, Frost noticed the Demon Sorceress no longer screamed. Did the anaconda have her constricted? Rushing faster she felt fear clutch her heart. Why should she care about the snobby little bitch? She couldn't answer it but it was that need to see Morgan that Frost pushed herself harder. Jasmine considered Morgan her sibling everyday even if the thought was not mutual. Her mind racing with visualizations of what Morgan was going through. However even Guardian could feel the panic in Jasmine's heart and it was not from the cruel environment they were all witnessing but because Morgan was in danger. Frost would fulfill her part when Morningstar and Black Widow struck. **

"Won't argue with that! Lets GO!"
:: Sprinting forward, Alexis followed the others until finally Alison and Jasmine assisted the group in their travels toward Morgan's horrified screams. Finally reaching the chamber in which Morgan was being bound by Anaconda's Alexis lowered her brows as she looked to Alison. Not bothering to wait for Morningstar to blind the creatures, Alexis lifted her arm out to the side; palm facing the creatures. A massive humming sound began to echo throughout the room as her hand began to glow a faint white. Cocking her arm back, the moment she forced it forward, a massive blue wave of energy went barreling into the dragons surrounding Morgan; and any other dragons in the immediate vicinity. ** Shutting her eyes as Morningstar unleashed one of her own lighting tricks. She could see the pulsating shadows that danced in the air while she kept her eyes shut tightly. She made a mental count of seconds it would take for Guardian to teleblink Morgan out of the snake's possession **
** Opening her eyes she saw the animals stunned and Frost began to shut her eyes channeling her deepest ice powers that lay dormant in her soul. A blue light flickered around the wintery mutant as the room's temperature began to drop in temperature. Frost's facial expression revealed extreme concentration as she moved her gloves off. Her ice armor sunk back inside her body. She needed all the energy she could get and all her main primary power for this attack. **
** Her hands took on that dark blue shade as ice slipped from her hands, the skin breaking as she wielded this new form of attack. Opening her eyes which were a brilliant blue tint that began to glow. She locked eyes with Morgan before falling onto the snake's eyes. Thrusting her hands outward a sheet of ice dashed to the underside of the Anaconda's body by the scale side that Jasmine forecasted. This was the creature's weakest side that would cause it extreme cold. **
"Go Guardian while its dazed and confused!"
** She yelled, ready to attack as the sheet of ice froze the most vulnerable spot of the giant Anaconda. It would leave Guardian a small window of opportunity to grab Spellbinder. Droplets of moisture in the air formed again as she lowered the temperature. The Anaconda's vision becoming blurry from the cold and even Morgan's warm body disappeared. Frost waited for the final move as she watched the Seer move. **

:: thrusting her hand forward ala' Piper Halliwell, Guardian BLOWS UP the dragon...it squeals with pain as it is immediately dispatched into many bloody chunks ...::
Morgan's on the verge of being catatonic..I've got warm her up....
:: her eyes glowed as she warped the temporal field around the snake...causing it to move at such a slow pace...making Frost's job easier.::

[ MorningStar started to move to help Alison with Morgan, when she saw the dragons coming right for her and Alexis. The creatures were clearly more resilient than she had given them credit for. She pointed at them with one hand, emitting a high-pitched noise only they could hear, and which would shatter their eardrums, helping to disorient them. Yet still they came. Throwing out her other arm, she began pelting the one nearest her with photon rays. ]

:: Cameron ran through ahead of the group. As everyone worked like clockwork Prophet too sprung into action as he went aggressively at two of the komodo dragons in the wake of the scene. Alexis and Delilah were already in action and Cameron soon joined the fold. Lashing out at the beasts with his mind he telekinetically grabbed hold. It was then that something happened to Prophet that had never happened before. After making the telekinetic pull he could now mentally visualize their bodies. Not the external but the internal. He could see their bloodflow, their heartbeat, everything. ::
"What the hell?"
:: He decided to take this as an opportunity to really lash out in way he never had before. He grabbed hold of the muscle control as the dragons became surrounded in Cameron's signature electric blue energy as the dragons began to stumble and falter as if they couldn't control their muscles. He then took control of the heart as it beat. His power grabbed hold of the heart as if it was his own fist. He squeezed tight as both of the hearts in the komodo dragons burst and oozed over. The dragons dropped as blood spit forthe from their mouths but no other indication that anything had been done with him. ::
"That felt.. strange..."
:: The attack took alot out of him for some reason. He felt a little nauseous but most of all he felt a little powerful. He had never been able to effectively attack an opponent at the cellular level unless in times of extremely heightened emotion. His powers had grown alot now that it had become his primary power. His mind went back to the task at hand. ::
"Let's get to Sharon.. I will fucking kill Riley if he touches her..."

** Bewitching blue eyes tailed Guardian who in the blink of an eye rescued her sister. Nodding as the Seer slowed the temporal fields she got down on one knee now as she called upon another hidden power. As Frost's body began to change physically she winced in pain as her muscles popped as patches of white fur began to cover her body. Her eyes morphing into a fierce brown tint. Her body size tripled as she fell to four legs. More fur sprouted as sharp claws sprang from her fingernails and a snout grew from her nose. **
** Frost had some way unknowingly called upon an Animalitie as she changed into a giant polar bear. Her body size about the same as the Anaconda's. Charging with extreme speed Frost lunged into the air as her sharp teeth sunk deeply into the Anaconda's neck. Her sharp paws swiped across its scaly body. Frost was unrelenting as she attacked further. Chopping down on the reptile's jugular she shook her fuzzy head from side to side. Her enormous body weighed the snake down as her back foot pinned the Anaconda's tail. Blood stained Frost's white coat from the blood she spilled from the snake. **
** The Anaconda's forked tongue slipped out to taste the air but Frost jerked the back of its head aggressively like an untamed animal. The polar bear's body was nothing but ice cold to the snake whose vision was alternatively blocked. The snake could feel vibrations through its sharp fangs and as it tried to attack it felt itself paralyzed from Frost's human attack earlier. It was helpless and its deadly venom would be useless because Frost had a grip by the back of the neck, thus the Anaconda couldn't strike. Crushing those delicate bones as Frost shut off the snake's blood supply and small amount of oxygen. The Anaconda looked pathetic in the polar bear's grasp, the defenseless snake just laid there slowly dying. Finally the Anaconda's body was still from its vicious death. **
** Frost released the snake only to swipe her sharp black claws across its body to reveal a nasty gash, making sure the beast was indeed dead. Running away as the ground shook from her enormous weight. Frost supplied a good distance between herself and the snake. Her body began to shrink and transform into her human form as the animal properties disappeared. Falling on her knees as she spat the Anaconda's blood from her mouth. Its blood stained on her suit but she'd deal with it. That power had exhausted her power but luckily it was the suit that tripled her power enough to perform such an extreme task, otherwise Frost wouldn't have been able to do that. **
** Sighing she recollected her energy supplies as she ran over to Guardian. "How is she?" She asked as a small ringlet of fire surrounded them to give some added heat for Spellbinder. Jasmine's eyes were concerned as she watched Guardian care for her sibling. Traces of the Anaconda's blood began to disappear on Frost and the suit she wore revealing a clean suit. She destroyed that reptile like it was nothing but if it hadn't been for Guardian the task probably would not have been as easy. Frost protectively stood over Guardian and Spellbinder, making sure no other reptile came within range. **

As Frost thanked her, Haleigh said nothing in response.... for she had the foresight to know that sooner or later the favor would be returned.... it always went the way among the six, and if Frost TRULY was to be apart of their cartel, then she would reciprocate without even thinking about it at some point. Sure enough, mere seconds later, Haleigh found herself ducking out of the way of Frost's next attack, which drilled an approaching spider back. As her comrades around her agreed to take flight from the arachnids, Haleigh turned her back to the beasts and ran, grabbing Jas by the collar of her suit as she passed and pulling the girl along with her.
"We're Square, now let's get OUT of here." Haleigh's version of a thank you. Frost was the first to speed up their movements, rocketing them 500 feet forward on ice, then Guardian put up a forcefield that kept the Ant Lions back as they all took to running the rest of the way. Haleigh's own speed, coupled with Alison's temporal boost, allowed her to pull slightly ahead of the group, and she was a few paces ahead of them as they neared Morgan.
Spellbinder and the creatures that threatened her were coming nearer and Haleigh could hear hissing and other reptile noises and knew exactly what kind of trouble Morgan had run into... but as she entered the final run of the cave... the dungeon that Morgan had walked through minutes before, Haleigh came to a grinding, sliding halt.... The smell alone was revolting, the overpowering stench of death, decay, and human waste thick in the air and Haleigh now takes to walking the rest of the way. She can hear Jasmine coughing from nausea beside her, and then as alison catches up, the instructions for them all. Haleigh passes the disfigured and the dead, her face blank... She has a hard time associating this kind of result coming from Rick Riley... losing his brother must have truly struck the man's psyche... because though Haleigh'd seen tortue and been victim to it before.... this seemed more like purposeless torment than torture for information. As she passed, a victim reached out towards her and made a murmured plea for help. Haleigh drew a 9mm with a suppressor attached and silently put the man out of his misery... and then took to delivering a single bullet to the head of each one she passed out of pity, releasing all those still miraculously alive to pass on to the afterlife. She shook her head softly in disgust.
Her teammates had taken to fighting off the creatures as they came to Morgan, but Haleigh seemed to be working on autopilot. She closed her eyes on count but that was the ONLY sign that she was remotely involved in the fight, as Delilah took her place in fighting off the dragons, Haleigh's attention rose to the final sight Morgan had happened upon before she realized she was at the dead end.... and it made her blood run cold. Haleigh knew enough to figure that this final victim was already dead, but the sight of the naked, skinned body of a man put on display like this was enough to make even Haleigh raise her hands to her mouth and gasp. She realized, at this point, that the man she had known in Rick Riley was LONG gone. Haleigh stood there numbly, with her back to the battle... it was a testament of the sheer effectiveness of the team that she wasn't blindsided by one of the biohazards.
Haleigh's attention to current events was finally gained when something hit her bicep. She turned her head to look at the blood splatter on her arm and then down at the chunk of komodo Dragon that had just fallen to the ground after hiting her. Alison had just blown up one of the reptiles and Haleigh finally registered the directions that had been given to her minutes before. Haleigh looked up at the cavernous ceiling and pulled from her pocket a small spherical object, which she squeezed tightly. It began to glow and Haleigh threw it upwards with surprising velocity... as the battle around them began to subside and quiet, the thing Hales had thrown splattered on the ceiling of the dungeon. Haleigh looked round the group and saw Morningstar still trying to dispatch a dragon. Haleigh finally joined in the fight, approaching the final komodo while it was still stunned. A metal bat formed in her hands, and Haleigh swung at its head with such engineered super strength and speed that a loud and sickening crack followed the connection of the bat with the creature's skull, and the beast went limp almost instantly. Haleigh lead Delilah over to where Morgan and Alison were and beckoned the rest of the group to move in closer.
A large, thick sheet of steel developed beneath everyone's feet and it gave a lurch as Haleigh mentally lifted it [and the group] from the floor of the cavern. Overhead, there was no explosion, for Haleigh had not thrown a bomb... but as they rose through they air the realized the rock and earth above them was slowly disappearing, and a passage was opening up. Haleigh smiled as everyone regained their bearings.
"Chemical warfare... the 'bomb' is quickly eating its way through the minerals... I know you wanted to make a smash entrance, Alison.... but trust me... I am much more qualified at quiet, surreptitious infiltration... after all... I AM a spy." She says with a wink. "You all ready yourselves... we'll be there shortly.... Morgan.... you did good girl... you rest for a minute. Alison... i trust your forcefield is still allowing the Ant Lions to give chase? I think they will offer a nice distraction as we storm Riley and his black guards.... I'll go directly for Sharon and Alycia. I promised nothing would happen to them on my watch.... so you can understand this thing with Riley is a bit personal.... once I secure those two... we can deal with Riley.... we probably wont have time to skin him alive... but I'm sure we can manage something sufficiently painful...."

** Discovering Black Widow coming her way as she continued to carefully guard Spellbinder and Guardian. Raising her gloved hand in the air she promptly extinguished the flames around the three women. The rest of the team regrouped again with the reptiles either destroyed or fatally wounded. **
** Lifting up her boot in curiosity with the new steel floor appearing under their feet. She was quiet in her observance. Frost did make significant progress with the Six not only by assisting Morningstar with a suit, helping Black Widow with the Ant Lion, and aiding Guardian to rescue Morgan. But she did not wear that smug look before she was stoic again. **
** Her energy supply was recovering at a more dawdling pace. Jasmine took this small reprieve to recuperate. Her battle with the Anaconda had placed a small strain on her power supply. If it hadn't been for the protective suit her energy supply would be dangerously low. Her heartbeat monitor beeped lazily in her own earbud as Haleigh's sneak attack began to unfold as the rocks and boulders were cunningly beginning to vanish. Perhaps Jasmine misjudged the accomplishments of the Six. She saw first hand how well they worked together. **
** Her aqua irises washed onto Spellbinder, double checking on her. Cocking her head to the side. She saw that fear in those violet eyes and in a way she felt for Spellbinder. Deep down she would deny any such emotion to the sorceress. And she couldn't ask 'how are you' for obvious reasons. Turning away she folded her arms across her chest. She still tasted the blood of the snake in her mouth, a most dreadful taste indeed. Her body hunching upward from the gravity switch, eyeing the ground below her. **
** Patiently waiting for the debris of the bomb to clear out, Frost glanced at each member of the Six until stopping on Black Widow. Walking along the steel board gracefully like a cat, Jasmine moved to the side as she spat more snake blood out. It left a nasty taste in her mouth. The attack was brilliant even she had to admit, Guardian's sheer technician proved to be an asset. The venom attempted to attack her blood stream but that was utterly impossible for the mutant. One of the reasons she never feared snakes, she was immune to the poison or venom. It paid to have sub zero temperatures but she was still sore from the gunshot wounds. Rubbing her chest softly she would be grateful when this mission was over, but she had a feeling it wouldn't be so elementary. **

:: Allowing Cameron to take on the rest of the dragons, Alexis watched as the battle with the Anaconda unfolded. Looking on, she had to give Jasmine credit..she knew how to hold her own. Ehh, maybe not. With a roll to her eyes, Alexis jogged over to Haleigh as she was in the middle of discribing her plan of action. Alexis knew all too well about revenge and wouldn't stand in the way of Haleigh's need to get back at Riley. ::
"Just make sure you kill him in a painful manor, Hales."
:: Giving her a small smile, Alexis glanced over to Jasmine who seemed to be low on energy. She could feel all forms of energy, and the ice manipulator was definately tired out from the battle. She could easily help the girl out; give her a small boost to get her up and running again....but that would be too nice. ::
"Oh buck up princess. If you're winded from a snake? You're in for a rude awakening later."
:: Extending her hand out to Jasmine, a stream of blue energy shot out of Alexis' palm and into Jasmine's chest, instantly sending a boost of energy throughout her body; making her feel better than normal. Rolling her eyes, although reluctant, the six needed all the help they could get once they found Sharon and Alycia; Jasmine included. Turning to Morgan, she knew the sorceress would be alright without her questions or concerned words. She was a tough woman, therefore the blonde went straight to buisness. ::
"Are Alycia and Sharon far?"
Alycia Barnett
01-16-2006, 03:47 AM
:: Alycia began to slowly stir....realizing she was no longer shackled and had been relocated...she soon began to hear the painfull, anguished cries from her dear friend Sharon Kelly. her eyes opened wide as she slowly struggled to sit up and saw Sharon on the ground being assaulted by Commander Riley. he was hurting her, chocking her, and about to RAPE HER. Alycia gritted her teeth with anger as she struggled to get up. Rick had not even paid her notice::
:: as soon as Rick his final, ultimate pass for Sharon, Alycia screamed at the top of her lungs, causing Rick to turn around.....and as he did...she SLAMS a large rock...with both hands across his jaw one way, then back the other before slamming it down on his head...hitting him as hard as she could...she manages to PUSH him off Sharon and pulls up the senator...::
:: coughing herself:: c...come on sharon...we've gotta get the hell out of here!!
:: the women are both injured mentally and physically..but they help each other to scramble out of the control room...rushing out into the dark passage. they had no idea where they were going....but it was a question of survival and the presentation of their dignity at this point. they stumbled, clawed and pushed through a darkened passage filled with jaged rocks, cold dripping water.::
:: Alycia was in a WORLD of pain...holding her one arm which felt like it was broken...but her will to save sharon and see herself survive gave her the manic strength she needed to smash that large rock into Commander Riley's head......::
k...keep moving.... dont stop for ANYTHING.
:: as the two women held hands and did their best to get down the path...they were suddenly stopped. a blue/white surge of energy seemed to travel through the walls.....the sound of a fax machine was heard.::
oh no!!! !it's PIPELINE!
:: a wall of energy forms...and then parts...revealing nothing but darkness at first. but then ...one by one, with rapid succession pairs of red eyes, SENTINELS red eyes begin to glow into view......::
Sentinel: target's identified. code fax identity: Kelly, Sharon and Barnett, Alycia. Genetic baseline: human. pre authorized mandate: EXPENDABLE, to be eliminated on sight!
:: the army of sentinels raises their hands slightly...palms facing out ward as computerized sounds indicate them locking onto their tagets::
Sentinel: prepare to destroy them!
Alycia: there's no where for us to take cover!!!!
:: the two women huddle together....both tired, weak, hurt and scared. even for all their courage...they realize there is nothing they can do to fight these sentinels....it seemed that all hope was lost.::

<< Spellbinder open her eyes wide suddenly and immediately began thrashing about...in a panic mode. she didnt realize she was no longer in danger yet.>>
Guardian: EASY Spell!! ::Guardian held Morgan gently and attempted to calm her down....and after a few moments, Morgan settled down and gained her bearings. Guardian helped her up as she looked around.::
Spellbinder: Alison!? thank the goddess...the reptiles...the snake..
<< she looked around...the snake was dead and the reptiles had been destroyed thanks Morningstar, Black Widow, Prophet, Shockwave and FROST!?>>
:: rubbing her temples as she groaned and shaked her head...Spellbinder blinked her eyes a few times as she walked forward a bit::
thanks...for the timely intervention....all of you. I rushed off without thinking and made it this far.....i didnt even imagine that there would be monsters like THIS down here.
<< as Haleigh commended Morgan for the job well done that allowed them to get down here so quickly....she watched as the chemical bomb began to erode at the minerals and stones in the rocky walls>>

nicely done everyone!
:: Guardian stood back as Morgan regained herself. The team was working very well even with the addition of FROST. the core team was still working as well as they had back in Nervous..a sign that the changes that have taken place were more than skin deep.::
:: looking at shockwave as she made her query ::
not far at all.....
:: Haleigh addressed Alison , asking her about the force field and the ant lions::
the ant lions are nearby the forcefield keeps them in check....we will have use for them soon enough....
:: watching as the wall was eroded by the chemical bomb, Alison's cobalt blue eyes widened::
TROUBLE!!! Alycia and Sharon have managed to escape RICK RILEY...but PIPELINE has unleashed a small army of sentinels against them...they are preparing to fire upon them NOW!
:: Alison thrust her hand forward and sped up the temporal field around that wall...causing the chemicals to work faster...and finally...she thrusts both hands forward..and forcefully BLOWS OPEN the wall...blasting through the weakened, eroded stone.....::
lets move!! Black Widow get ahead of us.....get Sharon and Alycia OUT of the path of the sentinels fire. the rest of you, once we get there....get against the wall and STAY STILL. Morgan will cast a cloaking spell whilel i drop my force field and unleash the ant lions. that will keep the sentinels busy long enough for us to get out of here we can tend to alycia and sharon once we get back up to the higher floors.......and as for Rick Riley and Pipeline.... just like a creature's last scare in a horror film, we will see them again before we make our final exit.....and Master Mold.
:: Guardian makes her way through the new pathway...with the others right behind her. they are just a half mile from Sharon and Alycia...with Haleigh taking the lead.::

Haleigh smiled at Alexis' request, nodding mischeivously. "Of COURSE.... CRIPPLINGLY painful." Haleigh turned and shrugged as Morgan spoke... they were all picking themselves up after the first fight and decompressing quickly... signs that they were becoming more fluent at facing off with Mystech. "Rampage or not... its what helped get us here in time to save Alycia and Sharon." Haleigh nods as Alison confirms the Ant Lions are following. Her handheld beeps and she looks down at it... "Alycia is awake--" she is about to inform them that the two captives are moving when Alison alerts them all to danger.
Haleigh is the first to leap to the new surroundings as her metal 'floor' comes to a halt just beneath the opening Alison makes. Alison is still giving direction as Haleigh begins to pull away from the group. Her handheld begins to beep consistantly, signifying the close presence of both danger and Sharon and Alycia.... Haleigh silences it and picks up her pace, breaking into a sprint, closing the distance between her and the sentinels quickly. Like before, her footfall is silent, allowing her to approach without being detected. She has no problem seeing in this dark atmosphere, as her eyes begin to glow green and her 'nightvision' kicks in. She nears the sentinels within minutes, and slows enough to hurl a small object over them into the center of the circle... a small canister with a bright white light illuminates the immediate vicinity and lands by Sharon and Alycia, and instantly emits thick white smoke that obscures the two women from sight. Haleigh changes her night vision to heat vision to compensate for the bright light [and the shrouding nature] of her own weapon as she comes up behind a sentinel and considers just sneaking through its legs... but decides instead to insure them all a path through the circle... Haleigh focuses on the sentinel as the smoke spreads to now encompass the circle of sentinels.... first it trembles.... and then, with the deafening echo of metal being torn, its outer 'skin' disappears completely, leaving the sentinel's wiring exposed. Haleigh tosses a knife into its circuit board, destroying the 'enigne' driving the robot, which falls stiffly backwards out of formation and Haleigh takes advantage of the hole and moves in to help Sharon and Alycia. She kneels beside them and speaks quietly, while she mentally scrambles the hearing sensors of the sentinels around her.
"Sharon, Alycia... whoa, relax!" She exclaimed, as one of them had taken to striking out at her blindly in defense. "It's me, Haleigh. Hey, Alycia, I can see you ladies are busy... but I just wanted to make sure you knew I held up my end of the deal... so I just swung by to give you the deed to XS and then I'll let you both get back to being brutally executed." Crickets... the sound of silence. "JOKE.... I was joking. Come on, it was funny... Christ. You two really need to lighten up. So serious all the time. I've come to get you two out of this big ole hot mess you're in... the rest of the members of the Six are a few paces behind me... and they're about to unleash HELL... so it would be wise for us to move OUT of the way. Come on, back out the way I came...."
Haleigh grabbed them each by an arm [being careful and conscientious enough to take Alycia by the GOOD arm] and forcefully pulled them along... once they broke out of the smoke, Haleigh looked up... she couldn't see the group... but she COULD see Alison's forcefield and the Ant Lions behind it, fighting and scratching to get by. She pulled Alycia and Sharon quickly to the left as they got away from the sentinels, looking for the alcove she saw on the way in.... there! They took refuge in the recess of the rock wall and Haleigh hacked into Frost's earpiece frequencies. She cranks up the volume so that the whole group can hear her, even though it will likely hurt Frost's ear... Haleigh figures that this move will keep Alison from being skeptical about the order coming from Frost.
"Tell Alison to drop the shield NOW!"

"Buck up? Kinda how you did with those spiders, I saw you run from fear! I'd liked to see you tangle with a giant Anaconda in another animal form while tripling your body size. Besides I'm not used to going on these little Scooby adventures this team often does together."
** Just after finishing her comment to Shockwave the energy manipulator fooled Frost. Alexis did the unthinkable she sent a boost of energy towards her! She followed the blue orb with her eyes until it collided with her midnight blue suit, causing Frost to rock from the movement for a moment. Blinking her eyes to adjust to the energy boost she perked a brow at Shockwave. Why would she help Frost at all? This team was just full of surprises tonight. Nodding a thanks to the blond, damn it! She now owed Shockwave as well. In a way she was getting used to this team effort. Her green eyes flashed that while her energy ascended to higher levels thanks to Shockwave's aide. **
** With Morgan conscious and her fear depleted, Jasmine saw out of the corner of her eye Spellbinder noticing her there. Oh boy, here it came. However Morgan thanked all of them. Was Frost dreaming? Surely this team was going mad or something. Could it be they were each slowly giving her a chance? She was grateful to see Spell back in the Six's grasp but again she was quiet with her emotions. The last comment replayed in her mind, To be honest...I didnt know where i was going...i was just...on a RAMPAGE. She knew it was her fault for Morgan's hysterical outbreak that caused her to run and terrorize this compound. Guilt was melting through her inner core system. It crawled up to her heart clutching onto the organ. Biting down on her lower lip, Frost fought this new emotion that attacked her soul. She had provoked Morgan just like Haleigh and Cameron did back months ago. She would handle this later, they had to rescue the other two ladies. **
** Guardian blasted the rocks in every direction adding to the final onslaught as the boulders, rocks, etc., collapsed. Frost could see an entrance perfectly but as she glanced over her shoulders the Ant Lions were rushing from behind. Jumping down her boots blew around dust as the ice manipulator took off into a run as she zoomed past several members with her agility and speed. Black Widow was way ahead of the group, which Jasmine felt was a bad idea her comrade could be jumped or injured. Tossing out her gadgets a blinding light was hurled in the Sentinel's direction as Frost pulled her shades down to block the painful light. Spinning her palms out as they were blinded Frost blasted each of them in the back with black ice that would drastically slow their progress as Black Widow revealed their inner workings. **
** She sprinted over towards one of the walls that Guardian commanded the team do, Jasmine was the first one there when she heard her ear bud crackle as Haleigh's voice volume was above regular frequencies. But as Haleigh commanded an order Frost pulled the ear bud out as she cursed feverishly as her ears rang. **
"Bloody fucking hell! I think I'm deaf!"
** Shaking her head she playfully glared at Black Widow placing her hand to her ear like she was deaf. Turning to Guardian who wasn't too far behind, "Black Widow has confirmed to drop the forcefield." As she gave the order Haleigh's voice rang through her ear bud again allowing Guardian to hear it as well. Massaging her ear Jasmine cracked a painful smile, it was amusing but at the same time painful. She'd replay Haleigh for that favor later. Remaining still Jasmine's green eyes followed the pattern of the Ant Lions as they rushed in. Placing the ear bud back in her ear, Frost purposely turned the volume down but she knew Haleigh would hack into her communication link anytime she so desired. She spoke back to Black Widow. **
"The eagle has landed and received the message."
** She spoke in code to Haleigh while awaiting the clash of the giants to begin. She turned to Shockwave, Jasmine could smell fear on her. "They won't harm you....I got your back." Jasmine was trying to reassure Shockwave but it really wasn't her thing. "And don't try to be bad ass with me. But if they come this way we can crush them!" Her body stiff and still against the wall. **

allright, everybody stay still until the spell activates!!
<< Morgan pressed against one of the walls as best she could....and raised her hands..a chiming melody was heard as sparkling , flowing, streams of eldritch energy flowed from one end of the group to the other. Spellbinder had cast her CLOAKING spell to not only hide all of them from the sentinels but also from the ant lions. even though she knew the spell would work, she still held her breath in anticipation as the word came for Guardian to drop her forcefield to let the ravenous ant lions loose against the sentinels>>
<< one thing was certain though...Sharon and Alycia were now SAFELY under the protection of the group...and Morgan would drag Riley to the depths of her own "Hell" in Limbo before he got the chance to hurt them again>>

Guardian's cobalt blue eyes begin to glow as she commands the force field to lower. the agressive, vicious, giant Ant Lions come charging forward with alarming speed, growling as an eerie sound is heard in the wake of the arachnid's march....to the relief of everyone, the giant arachnids storm right past each member of the six...they seem to be in a state of confusion as their prey is no longer within their sights::
Sentinel: warning, bio hazards have been detected. code fax identify: Ant Lions. bio hazards origin- the citadle. threat level: moderate. prepare to use repulsor blasts
:: But even as the lead sentinel commands his troops, the first ant lion barrels into him..knocking him over. soon the sounds of battle are erupting as sentinels fire repulsor blasts, ant lions spray acid and polymer webbing, attacking with their massive, strong legs and rock hard bodies.....its a battle between mutant hunting robots and savage flesh eating monsters...but at least they are attacking each other and NOT the six. their plan had WORKED....and now they could escape out of the rank, horrific dungeon.::

PIPELINE was obviously HERE but in a transitory form. and now, rising up from the hole in the ground was RICK RILEY...looking rather terrifying as he was possesed with an impossibly spectacular physique and shirtless and brandishing cannon rifles of incredible power but unknown energy projection type..his face was bloody, from when Alycia had smashed the rock in his face...but his hulking figure suggested there had been some genetic augmentation.>>

but before i bust your skull....why is it that a woman like you would work with a homicidal witch like Morgan Victoria who nearly destroyed the city she claims to protect , a deceitfull, nazi like Alison Marble who left you to DIE in the Citadle and her avaricious brother Cameron King or this drunk alcoholic floozy Alexis Quatermaine whose the stuff every tabloid reporter's dreams are made of and finally... << leering at Morning Star>> THIS nosy, meddling run away flash bulb Delilah Trelevan who turned to a WITCH to help clear her name....didnt realize a team like THIS had room for a goody two shoes COP.
Jasmine Klein...if ALISON MARBLE hadn't done us the FAVOR of killing your father...we surely would have. he was dead weight and...well we see what you turned out to be...just another bleeding heart. Do you think you'll last even a few months before Spellbinder loses control again and murder's you too??
what a colorfull bunch we got here...and all in one place now. MysTech will definately recover MORE than its share for the destruction of Senator Kelly, District Attorney Barnett AND their protectors in The Six...and just think, after all this, nothing's gonna stop us from turning this whack ass government on its ear.
<< the drones circle the room while the army eyes cover the main exits and the sentinels lock on their targets>>
the government, which claims to be a democracy but preys on its own people is about to be fucked over by its most favorite bed partner. too bad none of you will be alive to see it..
<< sounds of weapons of all kinds powering up can be heard...and Rick Riley begins to advance on Haleigh>>
Riley: OBLITERATE THEM!!
<< Riley himself loses his weapons for the moment, as he rushes Haleigh, hoisting her up in the air over his head horizontal before "back breaking" her and throwing her into a pillar>>
<< meanwhile, the large, bulky drones began to pepper the group with rapid fire cluster bombs, the SENTINELS who are the tallest things in the area also began to blast with repulsor beams....the team has to think fast and ACT faster.>>

:: Cameron looked at Rick Riley as he made his ignorant ass comments about all of them. He could only roll his eyes. This guy made Cameron look like Mya fucking Angelou. He wondered for a second if he was ever this big of an asshole. He didn't have much time to ponder as the Sentinels came up and started to fire their repulsor blasts. He knew the main objective would be to keep Morgan protected. She was going to get off a spell and if he wasted time on one of the Sentinels he would leave Morgan uncovered. He sprung into action as a sphere of telekinetic energy appeared over Morgan. He called out to her. ::
"Morgan, cast your own shield... I will run damage control over you! Trust me just get that spell off!"
:: As he held the globe over Morgan he began to dodge the blasts himself as he was almost nicked in the arm several times. He decided he would make the best of his other hand as when the blasts fired he deflected many of the blasts over to Rick Riley and back at the other Sentinels hoping to kill them all with "friendly fire" that would be quite an ironic way for Rick to die Cameron thought as he continued to concentrate. He hoped that some of the others would follow through. ::
"Jesus Christ these things are huge.. Looks like Rick is compensating for something, eh ladies?"

<< Morgan was shocked by what was happening..it happend SO FAST..Pipeline had once again flooded the room with robots and hostile machines...his power and functionality made him truly a most unique foe among the gallery of villains from MysTech. as round one started, Spellbinder's icy violet eyes followed the movements of young Cameron King, the mutant had come a long way and Morgan no longer felt utterly disgusted by him. in fact, she wasnt sure how to take him now. He was...more selfless than she had ever seen him....and after all she had done to him during the Inferno....coupled with Rick Riley's comments about her being a "homicidal witch"....it made her feel once more that perhaps she was truly a monster only PRETENDING to be human. but the time for self doubt would have to wait.....as the fire fight began.>>
Be carefull......the sentinels, they are DESIGNED to counter MUTANTS specifically!!
<< she concentrates....ignoring the the deadly barrage of repulsor blasts and as a chiming melody plays....a pentagram of protection forms around her, sharon and alycia....the pentagram, composed of silver mystic flames is the manifestation of a mystic shield AND a warding spell......a large cylindrical field of magick now extends from the floor up to the ceiling, surrounding Sharon and Alycia and allowing Spellbinder time to finish restoring their bodies. if Cameron got hurt, he would hopfully realize that he could find protection INSIDE the pentagram simply by stepping inside...anyone from THE SIX could do the same..but any foes would be badly burned, blasted or repelled. the others were now fully engaged by various machines/drones/sentinels while Riley attacked Haleigh himself.>>

[ MorningStar unconciously let out a sigh of relief as Morgan transported them away from the sentinels and ant lions. Sharon and Alycia were safe and now under their protection once more. And the rest of them had all come out more or less unscathed. She looked on as Morgan began to heal the wounded women - even now an amazing sight to behold. Then the explosions began...
She instinctively put her body between their attackers and those they were trying to protect. She went on the offensive, not wanting to give MysTech's playthings a chance to get any closer. Throwing her hands out in front of her, MorningStar sprayed the room with photon bullets before focusing on the nearest sentinel. Bringing her hands together in front of her face, then pushing out she sent a beam of blinding light at it, hopefully disorienting it. She quickly began targeting it's joints with photon blasts, managing to detach a giant hand from the huge body, which fell to the ground in a sparking heap of circuitry. ]

** Minutes passed by like hours as the Ant Lions flooded the dark and murky room until the Sentinels attacked abrasively. Wow, their plan had succeeded. Spellbinder's ear shattering thunder roared along the thin air currents which startled the young mutant. She at first assessed it was another villain but as she saw Morgan raise her hands she knew the sorceress was summoning some sort of magick. Her blue eyes went wide as the earth sank around her feet and she dropped through as her arms moved to protect her face on instinct. Transported to a room they had been through earlier, Jasmine fell from the stepping disk above roughly. She was clearly not used to all these various transportation modes as she was knocked on her knee caps with a thud. She frowned looking up at the air where she had just traveled from. Weird. Climbing to her feet she dusted off the small traces of dirt that stained her knees. **
** Spellbinder was already beginning her spell when a blast of high pitched air rushed around the team as it shook the walls and the explosion rocked Frost. She sighed, was this Morgan again? No, it was someone else. Spellbinder frantically shouted for the Six to cover her but her words were dimmed by such a powerful sound. But Frost could read lips and she was the second to run and cover the witch beside Prophet. Turning her back to the three other women she stood next to Prophet. She manipulated a large ice dome around Spell, adding to Cameron's shield of protection and Spellbinder's own. She identified who the attacker was Pipeline! His infamous sound entrance was known among many, especially for Jasmine. **
** Keeping her back to the others she noted the appearance of Rick Riley. She did not know him per say but she knew his record, an impressive one at that. But when he addressed each of the Six Jasmine yearned to rip his heart out with such a blood thirsty lust, she could only imagine how Haleigh felt. His comments about her father were tawdry and meretricious. Her eyes burned with hatred and anger at the augmented soldier. How dare he be so arrogant. She was half tempted to fire back a few of her own catty remarks but rejected the idea. No, she was better than to debate what kind of person she was or her father. Yes, her father was a ruthless monster who deserved to perish. But she also did not need to be constantly reminded of who she truly was. Folding her arms over her chest, she turned to Prophet who shared the same disdainful look she had. Clearly this guy was trying to make enemies and many of them. **
** Stepping forward, she sized up both the Sentinel and the drones. Who to assist first, Morningstar or Prophet? The sentinel was probably the bulkiest piece of shit there so she ran over to Morningstar. Jasmine had to find a weakness and most Sentinels were known for projecting and mirroring the same power. A gust of ice flew from her hands as she moved upward as her ice slide was inclined upward to the Sentinels eyes. Dashing around to confuse it while Delilah broke into its inner workings. Getting close but not that close she tossed out one of her ice sais that she threw with acuteness and precision as weapon flew right into the robots beady red eyes. An explosion of circuits echoed as the red light dulled completely. Swishing around on the ice slide, Frost dipped lower and around back to the back of the Sentinels large legs. Creating a hefty ice spear she jammed the weapon into the back of the robot's knee cap. Landing onto the ground again she blasted large patches of ice onto its legs to slow the machine. Jasmine's fists drove fiercely into the leg as she assaulted it with hand to hand combat. Her stamina was uncanny as she rushed forward to initiate an upper cut. Some of the paint and steel were becoming dented from Jasmine's attack. Her eyes glowed a haunting eerie yellow. Riley's words adding to her fire as she jabbed, kicked, and uppercut her fury into the Sentinel. She also kept a watchful eye on Morningstar as well. **
** She backflipped with the lengthy arm came crashing down. Sliding across the floor to puncture the other knee cap while Morningstar kept up her attack. The two worked flawlessly together. **

Haleigh was slightly amused at Frost's reaction... she really couldn't help it... so the woman COULD hear, after all.... at least she was finally LISTENING. She smirked a little, ushering Sharon and Alycia into the alcove, blanketing them in shadows and getting them out of the battle path... They stood there for a few seconds, pressed against the wall as the biohazards clashed with the sentinels mere feet from them, and Spellbinder pulled them out with a stepping disk. Haleigh was getting more accustomed to this method of transport, and this time she easily found solid footing on the warehouse floor as they reappeared in space and time. Haleigh helped the two to Morgan's assistance and then took up a covering position with the others... which she held until Riley appeared... her smoldering green eyes narrowed, and her protective instinct kicked in... this man had HURT Sharon and Alycia, and attempted to do so in the worse possible way... and Haleigh wasn't ABOUT to let that fly.
"Oh, Rick... I think, upon closer examination, you'll discover I'm FAR from the GIRL you knew, back in the 'trench' days..." Haleigh gave a mock laugh... and continued, and though her voice was soft, it was commanding, and it seemed to somehow resonate OVER every other sound in the room. "Come now Rick... don't be so naive... you know me well enough to know I would NEVER do ANYTHING without prudence... perhaps you should be asking yourself.... what it IS about these people that would have me believe they are such a sound choice of company?"
What follows can only be explained by admiting that Haleigh commits a BRAZEN gamble by taking her eyes off Riley and looking about the room as the machines around them begin to power up... no sooner does her gaze begin a return to Riley than the commander is upon her, hoisting her into the air and slamming her down over his knee before tossing her into a CEMENT support pillar... which instantly CRUMBLES on contact with her form, further comprimising the integrity of the decrepit warehouse... and yet... UNTHINKABLY.... like a cat, Haleigh falls to her feet and has recovered from the attack almost before she regains footing... and even more surprisingly, she is smiling.
"You know... you always used to underestimate me and I let it slide because it meant I continuously amazed you... but now... its just INSULTING... now even a neanderthal such as yourself can surely realize... if I was so EASILY dispatched... I wouldn't still be ALIVE to fight you today. Now, it seems to me like you're going to have a hard time moving about like that."
Haleigh gestured to his feet... which she had encompassed in steel up to midcalf... anchoring his feet to the ground with heavy density metal AND her mental control over it. Haleigh brushed a bit of rubble from her shoulder and moved towards him slowly and deliberately, a taunting saunter right up to him... he may have been taller than she was... but she showed no sign of feeling smaller.
"I think its rather fitting... don't you? After the stunt you tried to pull, terrorizing defenseless and badly INJURED women... it must be cosmic JUSTICE that you will meet your END at the hands of a woman... with strength and brutality to match your own." Haleigh had been holding eye contact with him and her glare never wavered, as she took his hips in her hands.... and squeezed. Her grip like an iron vise, it was nearly instantly that her fingernails penetrated his skin-- and more deeply than that... she squeezed harder, and just in her FINGERS was enough sheer strength to CRUSH his pelvis. "NOW... KNEEL in submission to your SUPERIOR... and I promise to make your death, while painful, mercifully SWIFT."

:: As Cameron surveyed the area he watched Jasmine looking at Morgan. He knew that she would do some type of ice attack to completely protect Morgan but he also knew that if he was in the pentagram with Morgan he would be more adept to helping to her and fighting off the sentinels. So before the ice dome solidified around Morgan, Cameron hastily jumped within the protection. He winked at Spellbinder. ::
"We never have any quality time, Morgan. Now let's get rid of these sentinels..."
:: Turning his attention back to the Sentinels he began to think of weaknesses that these mighty machines just might have. They needed to have some kind of core. They were designed to resist mutant abilities and to adapt to them. To destroy them. Somehow there should be a way to do the same thing back to the Sentinels. He just needed to find their weaknesses. He looked to Morgan. ::
"These things need to have a weakness. Otherwise we need a massive amount of firepower to their cores.. The only question is.. where are their cores?"
:: He took a second to look at Haleigh and Riley just going at it like dogs. Haleigh was in her truest form and weaving a web of bitchcraft that at the moment rivaled that of Morgan Victoria himself. It was all he could do not to just laugh at her words. ::
"Damn.. Kneel to your superior? Has she been borrowing your leather outfits Morgan?"

:: Guardian moves with speed and grace....dodging rapid fire and cart wheeling away from carbonium coils unleashed against her by the drones.::
:: as she landed on her feet, two drones swooped in, closing on her. she stood battle ready as they closed in.....and the look on her face suggested "you've just made a big mistake". lashing out and gesturing like Prue Halliwell, a rushing/windy sound is heard as she strikes with her world class telekinetic power and sends the two drones, both the size of SUV trucks, careening helplessly into the chest of a sentinel that is closing in on MorningStar and Frost. the thundering impact of the drones crashing into the sentinel causes the massive robot to stumble and falter backwards. Guardian turns and extends her gloved hand upward with palm facing outward....as a large beam of black light blasts forward and encompases the head of that same sentinel::
Sentinel: DANGER!! this unit under high powered telekinetic attack by Guardian........SQWARRRKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!
:: the sentinels eyes and mouth radiate with the explosion of its inner workings....the head EXPLODES and the body of the sentinel falls to the ground with a shattering thud..shaking the building. a reminder of Guardian's ruthless efficiency::
::MorningStar and Frost had taken out one sentinel, Guardian another. along with two drones....the team was holding their own so far. and with Prophet now inside Morgan's pentagram...everyone seemed to be good for the moment. Haleigh and Riley continued to battle as more drones zeroed in on Guardian.::

did you think i'd face you without some augmentations of my own? thats why i JOINED MysTech. to get the power i shouldve had all those years ago when i couldve saved my BROTHER.
<< Riley's face is enshrouded in shadow>>
Riley: yeah...i hurt Sharon and Alycia. SO WHAT. You cant stop me from doing it again..you could NEVER stop me. and after i break you...I'm going after that nazi, Guardian and that bitch cop MorningStar. Like i said...im busting All you're pretty little heads tonight.

[ After she and Frost defeated the first sentinel, MorningStar turned to seek out the next available target. She saw Guardian single handedly take out the second sentinel. Her jaw dropped as the Sentinel's head exploded. She shook her head. ]
"Where does she keep all that firepower?"
[ She waved to Frost, indicating a third sentinel that was coming for them. ]
"Go for the legs again, try and slow it down!"
[ MorningStar runs at the Sentinel, tucking and rolling to place herself behind it, then flying upwards quickly and alighting on its head. Extending her hands on either side of the head a strobe-light like series of flashes occur in front of the sentinel's face. While it's is distracted, she goes to work on the Sentinel's terminal casing. She absorbs the sound waves from the considerable noise level the Sentinels and friends were making, focusing it into a powerful laser.
As MorningStar was making progress, the Sentinel regained his bearings and began to swat violently at Delilah. As she started to lose her balance, MorningStar caught hold of the metal plating, which tore as she fell. She landed hard on her back on the cold floor. She turned her head to Jasmine. ]

Haleigh, rather than being enraged by his refusal, was thrilled. To have taken him so easily would have been anticlimactic and disappointing. Haleigh allows him, in part curiousity and part awe, to showcase his raw power, and she stands, defiantly, held by her wrists, as Riley towers even HIGHER over her.
"Commandante... i told you once before... it's not the SIZE that matters... its how you USE it.... being BIGGER... or lets go ahead and say it, SMALLER, than average.... doesn't necessarily make you BETTER or worse, respectively... if you want to accomplish something... you must put in WORK."
Shortly thereafter, out of what she assumed was retaliation for tenacity, Haleigh was met with the battering force that had been Riley's forehead. A flash of bright ligh brought splitting PAIN to her own forehead, as she staggered back and felt him kicking her to the floor. She heard him over her, ranting on about his brother, and bizarrely, she identified with his sentiment... if only she had been more powerful... or more knowledgable, perhaps she could have saved Blaze.... Haleigh pushed the guilt away once more as mental clarity resurfaces.... now was NOT the time to be swept away with grief. She rolled left quickly as he throws the concrete down on top of her. Rolling to her feet, she registers that physical restraints will not hold Riley... but he seems to have such faith in his body... how would it be for his body to fail him now?
"Does that make you feel more like a man, Rick? Raping and tormenting defenseless women, who have already been tortured to physical exhaustion the point of which they cannot fight back? The only head that will be busted tonight will be the one fed by your EGO..."
Riley would soon begin to feel it... as if his body was getting heavier... and as if he had been exerting himself for DAYS of hard, full body workout... and then, the excruciating pain of random muscle spasms... as Haleigh increased the iron in his blood to double and triple times the amount that was normally there... in small amounts it was merely an element-- and it was HEALTHLY... but in larger quantities it became utterly poisonous to his muscles and his vital organs.... and as Haleigh increased it more and more, tiny iron filaments would form, and begin to SPLINTER through his blood veins... eventually leading to MASSIVE blood hemmorhaging.... which was, as Haleigh had promised, cripplingly painful... to the BRAIN function hindering level.
"I'm through fucking around with you, Rick..." Haleigh says quietly, powerfully, before adminstering a Class 10 strength, full speed left uppercut to send the man careening to the floor. She knelt beside him, pressing the muzzle of a glock to his forehead. Her voice is a whisper, but she knows, it is ALL the commander can hear. "Ask for lenience, and it may be granted... OR.... try your luck at pridefulness, and it will be SLOW and unbearable."

** The battle raged on as combatants from both alignments slugged it out. Black Widow and Rick Riley were practically the clash of the titans or even David and Goliath. Their battle was ruthless and brutal but necessary. Spellbinder was showing her power as a Sorceress with Prophet watching his friend, yes, I said friend. It seemed both were starting to bond, was that possible? Anything was possible with this team. And Morning and Frost skillfully destroyed the bulky oversized Sentinel. Who would have paired these two up or even contemplated their success? Certainty not Jasmine who took a moment to catch her breath as the hulking machine collapsed **
** It was a great achievement to destroy such an icon that sent various mutants into hiding. But that victory was short lived as Morningstar motioned to another one. Its large boots slamming down onto the ground making Frost shake, it sounded like a Tyrannosaurus Rex was being unleashed. She kept her game face running around to the back of its footing. Mindful not to be crushed or stepped on as Delilah suggested she attack its footing. A wise choice indeed. Frost didn't argue, instead she slide around on the cold ground with ease. Her sky blue eyes timing Morningstar's attack precisely. **
Five, four, three, two, one.
** Spraying out her hands, medium sized ice spikes flew into the back of the Sentinels "ankle" which had enough raw power and velocity like bullets. Her thick midnight blue spikes crashed into its footing. The sharp chunks of ice slammed into the Sentinel's leg which managed to cut and sweep through the metal. Switching her powers she backed up a step to turn up the heat. Her eyes morphing into those yellow orbs while firing lava bolts into the back knee section of the Sentinel. Dark red bolts flicked with fire as it began to melt the armor away. Jasmine was ready to strike again when she heard a thunderous clash. Running around to the Sentinel's side right leg, she saw Morningstar holding on for dear life. **
"Morningstar!"
** As the cop fell Frost was quick to create a snowy mat for her, hoping to brace her fall. The blonde fell roughly on the snow mat with Frost running over to her. Crouching down to her she was careful to reach for Delilah's right arm and place it around her neck to help her up. **
"I can do that."
** She moved Morningstar behind the Sentinel for now to recuperate from her rough landing. Nodding to her again she raced off between the Sentinel's legs to obscure its vision mood. The red beam dashed madly to target her and at one point it did as the Sentinel raised its arm and fired a heat seeking missile. The missile crashed into her ice clone exactly when Jasmine leaped out and ushered her water power as it waved toward the hole Morningstar created. Descending down it collided with a splash as the circuits sparked and exploded. The large Sentinel stumbling around. **
** Jasmine wasn't sure if it was enough to take the machine down. Zig Zagging around it Frost climbed onto the Sentinel as electrical currents surged through her body painfully. Pushing herself she reached its shoulders standing up. Adamantium wrist blades protruded from her suit as she furiously swiped those claws into the Sentinels neck but a large hand wrapped tightly around her body tossing her into a wall. Face first Frost collided with the wall as she crumbled down onto the ground. She was oddly still as the Sentinel's head barely hung on. The ice began to melt creating more sparks when the Sentinel rammed into the ground, another Sentinel down. **
** Jasmine began to stir as she attempted to get up she collapsed right back down with a thud. Blood forming around her skull from the concussion. Thick headed, Jasmine rolled onto her side. She felt like she collided with Semi - truck. Gaining her footing Jasmine stumbled back, her equilibrium hindered. Making her way over to Morningstar she fell on her knees. **
"You all right? Didn't get to ask that."

:: Sprinting forward with the others, Alexis picked up the pace as they reached their destination. Watching as Haleigh immediately went to Kelly and Alycia, Alexis obeyed Alisons' request to get against the walls. Pressing her back firm against the wall, Alexis looked to Jasmine who too complied with the order. Surprisingly that is....Looking away from Jasmine, she went to turn to Haleigh. But just as she did, the high pitched frequency from her ear piece exploded in her ear causing Alexis to raise her hand in pain and wince. ::
"Jesus Christ, Haleigh..."
:: Grunting, Alexis then stopped hearing the rhythmatic drumming of feet. Gasping in, her eyes shot toward the direction of the sound seeing the giant Ant Lions appear. Gripping her hands into fists of fear, Alexis pressed her back harder against the wall, trying so desperately to make it move. Hearing Jasmine's words of encouragement, Alexis was completely taken aback...shifting her eyes to the mutant, Alexis didn't say a word to her; this action alone a huge step for the meta human. ::
:: Watching as one of the Ant Lions stopped right by where Jasmine and Alexis were, it's eight red eyes began to scan the area; Alexis' stomach turned. Closing her eyes, wishing so desperately that she would disappear, her Aracnaphobia was one of Alexis' biggest weakeness and downfalls. She was utterly petrafied of anything that resembled a spider; and to have it standing a mere foot from her made Alexis' body tense with panic. But in this situation, Alexis was surprisingly calmer than usual..as she opened her eyes, her breathing were nothing more than pants of air. Looking away from the horrid creature, she looked to Alycia, Kelly, and Haleigh to see if they were all okay. ::

** That unsettling feeling of nausea invaded Frost's stomach from the concussion. The whole room spun for the wintery mutant as she sat next to Morningstar. Shutting her eyes only seemed to make it worse and that throbbing intense headache rocked and pulsated along her skull. A gloved hand went to her forehead to massage those temples but Spellbinder's harsh and angry words echoed in the distance. Opening those sage green eyes, Jasmine slide them onto Morgan who had transported the Senator and the lawyer to Guardian in the blink of an eye for their protection. Frost felt the stale air change around her as she climbed to her feet slowly. It furiously spun now as objects in the room were yanked and violently sprung to a whipping life. **
** Raising her hands out across her suit Jasmine's hands sparkled with ice. Waving her hands around her body a massive ice dome began to surround herself before the mutant was well hidden in that dome. She was injured and she barely had the capability to stand let alone ward off these objects and debris. Sitting on the ground she sat "Indian Style" knowing her powerful fortress would only hold some objects not all. As the objects collided with her dome it vibrated and shook the inside where Frost was. Several cracks trickled along like what happens to an ice cube. Spellbinder's words could still be heard even over the wind attacked against Pipeline. It hurt to even think let alone stand. The mutant forced herself for ideas as she screamed to Spellbinder over the howling winds. **
"I could freeze the pipes, wires, circuits, etc. I doubt this place is anti -- freeze protected. Black Widow could hack online once her battle with Rick is over she could perhaps create some sort of worm virus cutting off Pipeline's exist while Shockwave could manipulate the electrical outlets around here to lure him out while Morningstar overheats his system with some lighting that includes heat like that of a heat lamp. While all this is happening Guardian can manipulate the temporal field to slow his progress. And then its up to you and Prophet for the final onslaught."

Haleigh looked down upon Commander Riley, but her expression was not one of contempt, but of tranquility. She gave a soft smile as he berated her, challenging her about working with Spellbinder, after all that had happened. The gun in her hand disappeared, and she placed an open palm on his bare chest. To him, she knew her hand felt like is was white hot and unbelievably heavy. His skin was clammy and covered in a cold sweat, and she could feel his heartbeating unevenly and slowly, as is chest rose and fell rapidly. She had been kneeling at his side, but now she sat down further, relaxing with her feet folded beneath her.
"Forgiveness is an attribute of the STRONG, Rick. I KNOW I'm better than you today. Why did you go to Mystech? You shouldve come to ME first... I could've helped you... Your brother's death was painful news for me as well... we could've gotten through it, together... and then you wouldn't be lying here beneath me, dying, BECAUSE of me... believe me, this is the last outcome I wanted... but you have become a beast... and euthanization is the only way. Your brother was a GOOD man, strong and JUST.... he fought BRAVELY for a cause he believed in, and while he couldn't say he was thrilled with the current administration he still LOVED his country. He would have NEVER wanted you to avenge his death if it meant you would become a MONSTER, such as you are...."
Haleigh stopped and yanked her head back, closing her eyes as she wiped his blood colored spit from her cheekbone, obviously disgusted by the last ditch disrespect. When she continued, her voice was sharp and steely, with the bitter coldness of detachment, which Haleigh was undoubtedly excellent at.
"No, I don't think I'll do that. Don't you get it Rick? You won't be getting up from this.... your blood is far too toxic and the pain too debilitating for you to make any kind of last stand now... soon your body will erupt in uncontrollable seizure... and right when you are about to fall UNCONSCIOUS from the pain, paralysis will set in... and you will be awake to feel your heart stop beating... and, unable to draw another breath, you will asphyxiate. Then, and ONLY then, the darkness will settle on you and you will be granted a reprieve from this world."
Haleigh had seemingly been oblivious to the battle outside of her and Riley... but she had been paying attention, allowing Morgan and the rest to fight their own battle, while she took care of Riley. She knew they could hold their own and so she kept her focus on Riley and in doing so, was focused enough to deal with him without incurring major injury to herself... but now, as the room seemed to quiet and Morg asked for options, Haleigh turned and whistled for Frost's attention. Jas was standing only a few feet away and was easily the closest of the group, and Haleigh tossed her a small metal disc that resembled a silver hockey puck and had a black button of the top. Haleigh winked and knew Jasmine was intelligent enough to realize what Haleigh wanted her to do with the object.... it was the weapon against Pipeline that Haleigh had earlier described to Prophet... and once she activated it, it would 'clog' the landlines and networks, preventing him from traveling in binary code and thus keeping him from escaping.

** Frost had been waiting for Spellbinder when suddenly a whistle blew in the air, causing Jasmine to find the owner. Usually most Special forces agents used that technique to gain attention from other soldiers. Sliding those midnight blue eyes onto Haleigh, their eyes locked for a few seconds. Why was Haleigh seeking her attention? The woman was locked in a brutal battle with Rick and to take her eyes off the psychopath was either brazen or just plan stupid. Either way, Jasmine knew Black Widow had a reason for it. Haleigh's hands contained a silvery disc shape device that could only be described as a hockey puck. It was small and round just like what Hockey players used. The device flew straight at Frost with it whirling speedily towards the brunette. Raising her left hand in mid air Frost caught it as the impact of the device glided roughly into her hands. A painful expression was written on Frost's facial expression. Haleigh obviously didn't know her own strength because she could have sworn that small device came flying at her at 90mph. She'd surely have a round ring inside her glove from impact. **
** She studied the device only to recall Haleigh mentioning it to Prophet when she had secretly watched them at Illustra. With a playful wink from Black Widow, Jasmine's thumb ran over the trigger as she pressed the black button when a small chime rang in the air. The black button had begun to in a way detonate all the hardlines, networking cables, powerlines, and airborne transmitters. All of those were suddenly jammed as Frost's communication system on her ear frizzed with obnoxious static. Pulling the ear piece out, Jasmine nodded back to Black Widow. She slipped the device tightly into the interior pocket of her suit where it was hidden and protected by the wintery mutant. **
"Stage one complete."

::as Riley seemed to be succumbing to the deadly effects of Haleighs passive attack. he no longer spoke...his body seemed to be shutting down. it was a progressive death....but with his last ounce of will, and strength, in a move that would surprise Haleigh, Riley DETONANTES a tubular device.....the explosion that follows is one that RADIATES Haleigh with a plasma blast that wouldve INCINERATED a lesser being, but as it stands, she is FLOORED across the way with the force of a pile driver::
::at that moment, as Frost uses the device to ensure that Pipeline cannot escape....Guardian thrusts her glove hands forward and in a combined use of powers she TRUE FREEZES Pipeline in his curent form...crystalizing his molecular structure and encasing him in a solid block of deadly cold ice while at the same time Riley and the explosion are FROZEN in time...the temporal field completely halted by Guardian's powers. the site of it all is oddly artfull...as its something only seen in "movies". the sounds in the air abruptly trail off as the group is left to finally breathe and the wreckage of sentinels, drones and all out battle are all around them.::
Thing were about to reach critical mass!
:: turning back to quickly glance at Sharon and Alycia::
I've checked the explosion for now, but its only going to INCREASE in size and damage once it resumes its course...and worse yet....the countdown to MASTERMOLD becoming SELF AWARE was activated by that tubular device! even with Riley's death....we're STILL no closer to averting the disaster i saw.
:: she waited for the others to recover::
I have a plan on how to irradicate Pipeline...but after that...we have to get OUT OF HERE while we still can!
:: directing MorningStar and Frost to change positions::
Frost, cover Sharon and Alycia. MorningStar, on my cue, ill need you to punch through the ice with your laser, but KEEP FIRING the laser. we're going to raise Pipeline's temperature to the point where HE reaches critical mass and EXPLODES...nullifying any possible reconstitution of his physical body. Morgan will make sure Haleigh isnt injured ....

"Haleigh!!" Yelled Frost's voice who saw at Rick made his last attempt to subdue Black Widow. Those emerald eyes blinked at the explosion that rocked and vibrated the ground she stood on. Frost stumbled a bit while keeping her eyes locked onto Black Widow. Her heart beat racing in that amble double d chest of the young mutant. Her hands began to perspire from the slow increase in adrenaline.
Around this time, Guardian was able to "truth freeze" Pipeline as the small hockey shaped device trapped the villain. It seemed everything was frozen, something out of the Matrix or it moved in slow motion. With the rest of the members of the Six able to finally move about, Frost witnessed the mass destruction of the warpath. Her green eyes wide with astonishment. Guardian's commanding voice broke through her shock as she turned to run over to Sharon and Alycia.
"Hello ladies."
Jasmine locked eyes with the two for a second. She perked a brow at Alycia as if to say 'Now what bitch' but the enigma was silent. Frost stood above protectively, her eyes scanning the perimeter and her ears keenly listening for any footsteps around them. She prepared to create any sort of shield at the last second.

Haleigh watches Riley as he finally falls silent, and in a soothing voice, she tells him to relax and just let go, talking him through his final seconds, remembering him as the man she once knew and not as the one he'd become. She lets her guard down, counting this one as a victory.... and it is.... but she doesnt expect him to make a final stab, and though she recoils as she realizes he has detonated his device, she has only enough time to turn and shield her head with her arms as the blast envelopes her. A split second later she is seen, thrown from the concussive impact violently. She hits the floor and BOUNCES, skipping to a second landing many feet away among the wreckage of a couple of sentinels from this battle and a few dead black gaurds from Spellbinder's first entrance.
At first she doesnt move, doesnt breathe, and her body looks lifeless, sprawled amongst the casualties.... and then she sucks in a deep breath, and coughs vehemently as she exhales. She doesnt try to get up... doesnt try to move a muscle or speak, as she is thoroughly disoriented. She stares up at the ceiling, drawing ragged, uneven breaths and trying to figure out what the HELL just hit her.

<< Spellbinder flinched and covered her face as the explosion detonated Rick Riley had apparently decided to die doing what he did best..hurting others. as Guardian quickly froze Pipeline and the entire radius of the explosion...she regained her bearings and exhaled>>
.....wow.
<< her icy violet eyes surveyed the area...alot of damage had been visited upon this decrepit warehouse.bodies, drones, fallen sentinels, it was a wonder the place hadnt came down around them during the battle. Alycia and Sharon were being watched over by FROST!?..Morgan's face tightened with disapproval as she narrowed her eyes at Frost...but she decided to wait. Frost wouldnt be foolish enough to try to hurt them in the presence of the rest of the group and Haleigh may require some form of healing.>>
<< making her way to haleigh, Morgan knelt down beside her and looked her over>>
<< in an icy voice>>: are you hurt? do you need help?
<< meanwhile, Morningstar and Guardian were now preparing to seal Pipeline's fate with a plan hatched by Guardian that seemed most clever. however, they would need another source of raw energy....something like LIGHTNING and Morgan could provide her own dark lightning bolts for that. but for now, she needed to make sure that Haleigh was not wounded. she waited to see what the mutant would said>>

Haleigh squeezed her eyes shut tight and opened them again, staring up at the ceiling with a distant look in her eyes as Morgan comes into view above her... Morgan asks Haleigh if she's hurt... and it seems to ground Haleigh back to reality... as she sucks in a sharp breath and tries to speak. Her voice is gravelly and quiet.
"Mm... Morg..." She pauses for a second and then moves her right arm up to her head.... the whole right side of her suit is blackened from the explosion but she doesnt seem to be burnt on her skin anywhere. "I think... I'll live...." She sits up abruptly, wavers a moment, then steadies herself. She coughs again, violently, and winces as her nose begins to bleed. She wipes it with the back of her thumb, using her clean left glove. Her eyes widen and she looks up at Morgan.
"SHIT!.... the bomb! .... I didn't see it coming.... is everyone else okay?? We've GOT... to get out of here... the blast was a cover up... for some sort of activation."
She accepts Morgan's help getting to her feet, and she seems to quickly regain coordination, though she moves stiffly at first. She takes in the current state of things, glancing round and getting oriented before she lets go of Spellbinder's arm and starts towards Frost.
"I'll help Frost.... with Sharon and Alycia..." Haleigh turns and locks eyes with Morgan... her perceptive abilities seemed to have returned to her at top speed, because her gaze reveals that she knows Morgan can't be happy about Frost protecting Alycia and Sharon alone. She nods once and continues, her voice still raspy and breathless but beginning to return to its normal volume. "Finish the job.... then lets get the ....HELL out of here."

:: Cameron could sense Morgan's dissapproval of Jasmine watching over Sharon and Alycia and was about to make a suggestion when an explosion sent Haleigh flying through the air as if she were a feather being blown in the wind. His eyes widened as she just stood still. He could only sigh and roll his eyes at the pathetic excuse for a man that Rick Riley had become. ::
"Jesus Christ.. what an asshole! That can't be it though, Morgan.. there has got to be something else. He wouldn't have killed himself for nothing... Let's get Haleigh..."
:: Prophet followed Morgan to Haleigh and watched Haleigh actually accept help from Morgan in getting herself back off her feet, but the mission was far from over. They needed to dispatch of Pipeline before whatever else was about to happen transpired. He didn't know of what use he would be of in this current situation. Sure he could shoot beams of telekinetic energy but he didn't know if they were hot or not and in fact he didn't know much about the current new aspect of his telekinetic power. ::

** Even if the team detested Frost protecting the two women, she was probably the best one to do it due to her Assassin skills. Wintery green eyes glanced down every now and then at the lawyer and senator together. Nibbling on her bottom lip she released a low breath through her lips. She wasn't thrilled with the assignment but she was going to follow Blaze's advice and Alison's. Crouching down by the two of them as she began to rub her hands together slowly. As the mutant did this her temperature would rise with her suit beeping again. **
"I will assist to keep you both warm. Even though your mostly healed your bodies took severe damage and shock. Trust me...I know."
** Reaching gently over to the Senator and Alycia she placed a warm inviting palm on each of their cheek bones. As her delicate hand caressed the skin there, those eyes would morph into an eerie yellow. "Don't be frightened...believe it or not I will help you." Both hands would glow a faint red tint as her heat power was released without harming either woman. Small amounts of low powered heat would slip through both women to keep them at normal body temperature. Her eyes locked onto Alycia, the fiercest lawyer around who wanted Jasmine prosecuted. Probing eyes would penetrate the lawyer's soul finding fear and hurt from her encounter with Rick Riley. More heat would file itself neatly into both women as she unknowingly revealed a sympathetic look, one a sister would give to another. Pulling her hands away she stood up again around the time Spellbinder sent a chilling glare at the mutant. Rolling her eyes at Morgan with disapproval, she waved it away like a fly. Yes, Morgan detested her but she knew this already. Jasmine was growing sick of Morgan's superior attitude towards her. Turning at the waist she sent an icy shoulder back to Spellbinder. **
** Her eyes slowly fading from the fiery tint back to the natural green hues. She did prove herself more than once on this team and if the others failed to notice they had to be ignorant. Her suit beeped again to signal her decline in temperature again. She thought about her half - sibling Morgan. Psychology trying to figure out what her issue was besides Jasmine's violation against the club and Morgan. It hit her like a brick, Morgan was using her facade for something deeper, hurt. It made sense to the wintery mutant now. Yes, Spell did have anger issues but because she was provoked. Some of that was Jasmine's fault but as she thought more she put the pieces together. **
She still mourns Blaze...she'll lash that anger out on me due to my identical looks.
** Haleigh's footsteps tensed Jasmine who spun around fiercely ready to attack. Her green eyes hardened and fierce when she relaxed with Black Widow walking over. Cocking her head to the side those eyes fell down Black Widow to survey for any damage. Her eyes stopping on the burn mark on the suit, where was the wound? A small frown snuck along her forehead. "How do you feel?" She asked with her eyes locking onto Haleigh's. Her tone was soft and slightly worried. She smirked as she laughed, "I'm starting to think you and Del like the ripped up look." Her index finger pointing to Black Widow's suit. She hoped to lighten the mood with humor. **
"Its good to see you in one piece..."

::at Guardian's command, the block of ice shatters and Pipeline's temporal field was restored...but began to ACCELERATE. he began to spin around, faster and faster as his molecules were being accelerated, increasing his internal thermostat.::
and now, while his internal system is being increasingly taxed to the point of critical mass, bombard him with your white hot laser blast!

Pipeline's screams sound like feedback from a machine as his body glows, flickers and fluxuates. the sparkling, flashing light show is harsh on the eyes of all around...and just when it seems that it couldnt get any worse...Pipeline's body EXPLODES in a ballistic manner...releasing blue white light rays in all directions....a binary code effect can be seen flickering in the air around him and the sound of a Fax machine on the fritz is heard. Guardian sheilds the group as shards of energy lash outward....and then..its over.::
::Pipeline AND Rick Riley are destroyed...and this cell of MysTech is dismantled...with only the creatures and half dead captives far below ground remaining. there is a moment of silence as the echo of Pipeline's feedback faintly lingers. Alison looks at everyone with a detatched glare.::

"Well that was fun..."
:: Everything unfolded pretty damn fast. Haleigh's fight with Riley; Pipeline. Everyone did as they were supposed to, and surprisingly, Frost made a good asset to the team. Although Alexis would never admit that, she seemed to pull her weight when the situation became rough. Brushing her hands down her leather suit, Alexis allowed her eyes to scan from one member to another. Turning to Guardian, Alexis listened carefully to the seer, knowing from experience NOT to ignore her words. ::
:: Nodding to Alison as she instructed Alexis to watch Sharon and Alycia with Morgan, Jasmine, and Delilah, she made her way over to the woman looking over them. Pressing her lips together, Alexis turned to Morgan awaiting her to transport them, via stepping disc, to Illustra. ::

Quick and alert as ever, Haleigh dropped into a defensive stance as Jas whipped around on her in alarm. "What, you wanna box now?" ;) Haleigh shrugged, her speech patterns returning to normal, her respirations stabilizing. She was already nearly recovered, after Riley's attack had knocked her momentarily unconscious, and was gearing up for the next round. She nodded and smirked, giving both Sharon and Alycia the once-over to make sure they were still okay... they were quiet, but Haleigh chalked it up to trauma and scanned her gaze to Pipeline before settling on Jasmine. Her tone, at first, came out a little sterner than she'd intended... but she was rather agitated that Riley was able to retaliate so unexpectedly... mostly she was upset she'd been so thrown... and had experienced a moment of weakness in front of the entire team... they might not have all noticed or even thought that much into it...but Haleigh was internally kicking herself for not paying close enough attention.
"I'm FINE." Looking away, to Pipeline, as he is destroyed, she sucks in a deep breath and lets it out slowly, giving the impression that she is releasing stress, systematically breathing it out. Her tone is softer, that ever audible voice that she usually has, quiet and calm but somehow heard over all the background noise, clear and commanding. "Yes... well, from what I hear.... the 'destroyed' clothing look is in this year."
Haleigh turns to Alison as she delivers their next plan, which sounds good to Haleigh. She nods, her eyes focusing off in the distance as she mentally reaches out to her base. "I know JUST the place they can go...." A few seconds pass and Haleigh shifts her gaze to meet Alison's, giving a curt nod and moving closer to her, as if silently saying she was ready. "An operative is waiting at Illustra... he'll take them to the safehouse..." Haleigh didnt say where it was on purpose... but when they got back to Illustra, Zach himself would lead them to the Beowulf and take them out to sea... where the 80ft yacht would be safe under the watchful eyes of half the six, well secluded and easily mobile in case of emergency.

:: Delilah was moving slower than usual - the fall from the sentinel had done more damage that she would have liked to let on. She waited for Haleigh to inform them of their destination, looking around at the others and trying to suss out if everyone was allright or not. She was worried about Alycia and Sharon - trauma like they'd been through would not be overcome quickly. She had seen it time and time again in her years on the force. ::
"Illustra it is..."
:: She moved a little aside from everyone else, giving herself room to work, and drawing from the noise around them began to create a portal back to where they had started their mission. The threads of light began to weave around her fingers, creating a similar tunnel as it had before. When she had finished, she looked to the others and nodded. ::
