<< as Black Widow and Tempest were being besieged across town.....Alexis had just departed the company of Cameron at the Rainbow room. she steps out into the dark and chaotic night ...noticing the wild weather....and the flickering street lights around the city.......the winds immediately began sweeping her along a bit>>
<< she felt as though she was being watched...but there seemed to be no one about.....it was best that she get to her car ...and quickly...she couldnt help but feel tonight was NOT the night to be out in the open>>
<< mean while Cameron was left inside....Alexis had hurridly left...and now he felt an overwhelming feeling of dread....as patrons of the Rainbow room suddenly began to leave in a hurry...the power in the building fluxuating....the images he gathered from Alexis' mind reminded him of the weirdness at illustra today.....and now, this evening seemed to turn from fun to fear....he had to leave....and Vivica, his assistant was no where to be found>>

« It seemed as if Alexis had been too in a hurry to leave the Rainbow Room, and the looming sense of dread seemed to spread to the patrons of the room as well as the weather became more fierce and the electricity flickered on and off. Something was coming and now Prophet knew for sure that it was extremely bad and that if he didn't get out of her soon, he would be feeling the brunt of it to the extreme. However, he couldn't leave without knowing that Vivica was safe and sound. He looked for her among the crowd of people, but he couldn't find her and when he pushed out with his mind, there wasn't a trace of her in the building. Perhaps she had gotten out, but he couldn't risk it. Though he should have been scared with all the happenings that had occured during the day, but he wasn't. He knew that somehow, these things were connected back to Morgan Victoria, and WHEN he got out of this building, that was exactly where he was headed. He closed his index finger to his temple and began to communicate telepathically with Vivica, to see if she would respond. »
"Vivica, can you hear me? It's Cameron. We need to get out of here and fast! Something is definitely not right here.."
« There was nothing but dead silence in his head. Either Vivica was out of his range which was highly illogical or she was hurt. He didn't have time to think. Pieces of the room began crashing down on top of people as dust and smoke filled the air. Small fires due to the Electrical Shortages were sparking and the scene looked much like a warzone. Cameron needed to find Vivica before whatever was coming got there. He threw out his hands, the piles of debris flying up in the air and out the windows as rain came crashing through. Cameron couldn't stop there. He began using his powers to lift and search and prod every knook and cranny of the bar. He was going crazy, and now his bloodlust to find Vivica had turned into pure rage. It was a very "Carrie" type moment. Things were flying everywhere, even innocent people. If he couldn't find her, he would kill anything in his path to get to her. »

:: Alexis' breath became short with panic. Something wasn't right and it began to make her uneasy about being in the open. Where was her driver? Looking down the street, her blue eyes scanned the area, trying to see any trace of her limo. ::
"Damnit...where is he!"
:: Crossing her arms, the cold breeze became even more intense, sending chills throughout her body. Goodbumps rose from her normally smooth and silky skin as she tried to keep herself warm. At this moment, Alexis felt incredible vunerable....and hated feeling this way. Fluttering her eyes, she soon began to shake from the amount of cold air hitting her body. Finally, her limo pulled up. Letting out a sigh of releif, it was short lived as Alexis heard the commotion happening inside the Rainbow Room. Turning around, she saw what looked like sparks, fire, and tables flying across the tinted glass doors. Squinting to try and see what was happening more clearly, she realized something horrible was coming. Running to her car door, she quickly opened it and jumped in. Sliding into the unusually cold limo, Alexis slammed the door closed. ::
"Marcus, get me out of here NOW!"
:: As the limo began to move, Alexis rubbed her upper arms with her hands trying to warm up. With her eyes scanning the outside, she could see the lightning crashing in the sky and clouds rapidly moving. Breathing ever so shallowly, she could see her breath inside the limo....everything was so cold. Feeling as if she was in a freezer, it was hard for the woman to breath let alone stay still from shaking. ::
"Marcus....turn the damn heat on...."
:: Not hearing Marcus respond, Alexis grew annoyed. She was freezing and alarmed about what was happening., and didn't feel like dealing with an idiotic driver this evening. But before she could scold him, something fron the corner of her eye caught her attention. Looking towards her window, she saw the building shooting by in a blur. Her limo was going extremely fast.....Continuing to look outside, she grew confused...they weren't going towards her apartment. ::
"MARCUS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"
:: Suddenly, the car came to an abrupt stop, making Alexis fly forward into the privacy glass that was up. Slumping down onto the floor, she grabbed her pounding head wincing in pain. What the FUCK was Marcus thinking?! Removing her hand from her head, she saw some blood on the tips of her fingers. Placing her fingers up once again slightly above her right eyebrow, she wince again, feeling the gash. Grunting, Alexis manouvered her way to the car door opening it. ::
"Hey speedy gonzalas! Get the FUCK OUT OF MY LIMO, you're fired!"
:: As she was screaming at her incompotant driver, Alexis stumbled out of the limo, into an empty parking lot. Looking around, it looked like a loading dock for tractor trailers. Confused on why the hell Marcus would drive here, she looked towards the driver side door.....Stepping back, her eyes widdened with terror. Marcus wasn't driving the car. It was a shadow demon. ::
"Holy shit...."
:: Wind swept violently throughout the vacent parking lot as the car door opened suddenly. Thrusting her hand towards the opening door, an energy ball flew out from her palm and hit the door, forceably closing it back up. Brushing her blonde hair from her face, the wind was horrible at this point, blowing her hair, dress, and anything else that was loose, with ease. Suddenly, Alexis jumped back as a small scream escaped her lips. The car door flew off from it's hindges and slide past her as the shadow demon stepped out. ::
"....Oh God.."

<< Cameron's over reaction and overt display of telekinetic ability only added to the frenzy as patrons scrambled out to get to their cars and avoid the wild weather......all of this activity did NOT go unnoticed by a horde of MysTech shadow demons and two battle drones (large "mandroids"), who had been dispatched to capture Eva Valentine or Alexis Quatermaine, two HOT targets of MysTech.
As the last of the patrons exited the Rainbow room....and a flurry of traffic , horns blowing and people screaming could be heard in the streets...Cameron was now left alone inside...Vivica was fine and unharmed, it was the unusual disturbance in the air that had prevented Cameron from "contacting" her...and now, thanks to his outburst...his "secret" may have very well revealed>>
<< the shadow demons and battle drones came upon the Rainbow Room....smashing through the front wall...and shining their bright flood lights in stunning Cameron momentarily>>
scan ipositively identifies one mutant....male, telepath/telekinetic
<< Cameron's telepathic powers would be useless against the shadow demons and battle drones.....for the demons were powered by magick and the drones were automatrons....without any psyche...merely a computer matrix...he'd never seen anything like this before....but he knew he'd just invited himself to a WORLD of trouble as he was now confronted by four armored shadow demons and two drones>>
<< the demons, who moved at peak human speed, immediately took aim with their Psycho Cannons, and began firing at him from four directions. these demons were immune to temperature extremes, psychic attacks and conventional weapons.......the bolts from the psycho cannons caused extreme psycho samatic pain on contact, eroded most fabrics and surfaces and had an extremely high concussive impact..capable of sending the young muntant sprawling across the floor.>>
-------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile
<< Shockwave staggered back in shock at what she'd just seen in the front driver seat of her limo. the armored shadow demon burst out of the door...and immediately rushed forward...smacking her in the face with the butt of his psycho cannon to knock her down........and as he stood over her...he took aim...preparing to fire a neuro shock net over her that would painfully stun and ensnare her for capture.....the armored demon stood tall over her....its face was covered in a face plate..and there was no sound ..no indication of any emotion.....on the breast plate of the demon..was a logo ALL TOO FAMILIAR to Shockwave. The logo of MysTech!>>

« Cameron was in a rage. The crazy weather and change in atmosphere had provoked him into using his powers in a way that he would have almost never have done. Without any notice, he heard a crash through the front wall as blinding almost stunning bright light was shining straight at him. With his mind's eye he could make out the characters. They were hideous beasts surrounding him, snarling with huge looking weapons, all aimed and ready to shoot at him. Next to the Shadow demons were these seemingly autmotronic machines, like the exhibit at "It's a Small World" had gone crazy and somehow got guns. Without further notice, Cameron heard the shot of the weapons. He could only see one of the psycho blasts coming at him due to the extreme light, so he quickly through up a forcefield as a globe of bright green energy surrounded him. The first blast hit the shield, forcing Cameron back a few feet, but still maintaining the shield, as two more hit, sliding him back on his feet even more. His shield was weakening, just as he was planning his next plan of attack, the last psycho blast hit the shield, effectively breaking it and sending Cameron flying into the bar and crashing into the shelves with different liquours and beers. As he hit the floor, he picked out the shards of glass in his hands. He had no clue who these people were, and was even less sure of why they were choosing to attack him, but he couldn't sit there defenseless. He pushed out with his mind's eye, allowing him to see over the Room from an eagle eye point of view. He concentrated and squinted his eyes, as his blast of invisible force bombarded the demons and drones, sending them back a few feet or at least knocking them down. Cameron stood up from the bar, and dusted himself off. »
"Well... I guess formalities are out of the question.. but you should know the name of the person who is going to kill you... The name's cameron... but you can call me PROPHET!"
« He detonated a high charged Psionic Wave and shot it straight at the posse, but nobody seemed to be effected by it at all. He assumed the robots wouldn't be, but these demons must have had certain invulnerabilities. His psychic powers had been rendered useless. Cameron would have to rely on his Telekinesis, which was his least developed power. He had to be quick on his feet to reduce being able to attack, but Cameron had the advantage of attacking what he couldn't see. Cameron had a thought, he lashed his hand out and threw it across his body, which in turned knocked the Psycho Cannons from the Demons and Robots grasps and threw them behind the bar. Now he was ready to attack them on an even playing field. This was not a task that Cameron was up for, but if he had been fighting to survive his entire life, and these.. whatever they were, were not to going to be the foes that stopped him. »

:: Stumbling back to try and avoid the sparks flying from the limo door which slid violently past her, before she knew it, the shadow demon was running towards her. Not even begin able to react to the situation at hand, the shadow demon quickly slammed the butt of his cannon into Alexis' face, sending her flying in the air. Landing on the hard concrete with great force, pain washed over Alexis' face as she slid to a hault. Trying to catch her breath, the wind was forceable knocked out of her....Alexis couldn't even react to anything that was happening -- she was caught way off gaurd and the shadow demon took full advantage of the situation. Before she knew it, the demon was standing over Alexis pointing what looked like a gun right at her. The gun isn't what startled Alexis...but what was on the chest plate of the demon. The MysTech logo? ::
:: Snapping out of it, Alexis eyes turned a earie shade of white as a small smirk appeared on her lips. ::
"Nice gun."
:: Grabbing the nose of the gun, all the engery began to drain out of it and into Alexis' hands. The gun began to glow a pale blue and soon, all the power was drained. As this was going on, Alexis swiftly, but with great force, set a powerful kick to the right shin of the shadow demon causing him to collapse to the ground and the shin to snap. Pulling the gun from the Shadow Demons hand, she scrambled back and stood. Pointing the gun at the Shadow Demon, the energy rushed back into the gun and powered up, placing her finger on the trigger she put pressure on it gently. ::

in the parking an abandoned industrial area
<< Shockwave, quickly disarmed her assailant..seemingly turning the tables on him...as she stood over him pointing his Psycho Cannon at him. The Shadow Demon's "face" was covered with a smooth, opaque black face mask (as were they all) and so there was no visiable sign of expression...as Shockwave demaned answers, none came from the creature...as it did not speak.....the demon quickly unleashed a "black light" effect that totally encompassed her....suddenly BLINDING her as it robbed her eyes of ALL sense of light around her....and as she was immobilized by this loss of visual sense....the Shadow Demon immediately tackled her again...smashing her into the side of the car...pinning her with the psycho cannon pressed so hard against her neck. But at least NOW she could see again...as the Shadow Demon attempted to cause her to black out from lack of oxygen so that he may capture her>>
---------------------------------
....Mere miles west of where Shockwave was......Prophet was being contronted by another small hoard of troops, drones and warbirds...who were also looking for Eva OR Alexis...but his own display of powers attracted their attention to the now badly damaged Rainbow room
<< acting quickly, Prophet disarmed the Armored Shadow Demons of their Psycho Cannons with his telekinesis, ..hurling them a fair distance from their grasp. The DRONES...who were far larger and bulkier...moved in closer...with their hands extened, palms out...and immediately began firing large Replusor blasts at Prophet. His power of premonition allowed him to anticipate their target a second or two before they fired..and he was able to evade them...but he couldnt keep up this fast pace for long....as the two Warbirds allowed their "noses" to open....two small round globe objects flow forth...flying to opposite ends of Prophet...they themselves "opened" to reveal an eerie looking "eye" shape....and suddenly..they unleashed a painful , never ending projection of "white noise" that radiated around and flooded Prophet's senses. a disadvantage to telepath/telekinetics was that if they were thrown too far off balance...and not allowed to concentrate..they could not focus their powers...AND sonic attacks ALWAYS were the most effective way to cripple a psychic. the "white noise" generators assaulted Prophet relentlessly...causing his nose to bleed as his head throbbed and ached with pain........as a battle drone moved in....its carboniom fist raised up high.....the drone intended to SMASH the young mutant right where he stood>>

"Who sent you!!"
:: She demanded wanting to know who sent this thing after her. MysTech was obviously behind it....but could her father....no. He's dead. Alexis knew this. But perhaps an apprentice of some sorts? She wanted answers and now. But suddenly a black light engulfed her taking away her site. Dropping the gun, she grabbed her eyes, but before she knew it, her back slammed against the limo being pinned by the shadow demon. Desperately trying to get oxygen, her sight luckily came back. ::
"....You...."
:: Alexis esophagus was slowly being crushed letting little to know air into her lungs. A flash of lightning caught Alexis eyes, as she slowly looked up towards the sky. A single tear fell from the corner of her eye from the amount of pressure the demon was forcing upon the very thin woman. Her eyes once again turning a pale shade of white, as she continued to look up at the sky. Suddenly a lightning bolt from the storm that was already going on, came crashing down hitting the shadow demon directly in the head. The concussive force of the bolt sent both Alexis and the demon flying in the air. Both crashing into the concrete, Alexis laid on the ground gasping and coughing for air. Lifting her head weakly, she saw the shadow demon a few yards from where she was laying. Smoke streamed out from the cracks of his armor, hopefully indicating that he was fried. ::

« Prophet was beginning to feel that he could protect himself against these monsters and drones, whatever they were. Being a Psychic, he was able to augment his power of premonition to sharpen his senses, and he was dodging the bulk of attacks thrown at him. He stopped to wonder for a second just why these drones and demons were attacking him. Cameron wasn't a known mutant, nor was he hip to the whole mutant world. They must have been sent by someone, and he suspected that it was either his new Mutant friend Alexis or the Ball Buster Morgan. The thinking about other things caught him off guard as he soon began to see two globular orb like objects surrounding him. As they opened up, there was a mystical looking swarm of energy that was like an eye, but before Prophet had anymore time to react, his entire Body was bombarded with a Sonic Attack of White Noise. These people were smart, they knew that concentration was key to a Telepath's power. He fell to the floorm grabbing his head as his veins began to pop up on the surface of his skin. Blood dripped down onto the ground from his nose, as he fell completely and totally trapped. The pain was extremely relentless and his anger was growing at an alarming rate. »
"There is... NOBODY.. that I.. can't... HANDLE!!!!!!!!"
« As the pain in Prophet's body grew, he began to try and channel the pain into energy. To rage, hoping that he would get some kind of endorphic kick from it. Right now it seemed useless, but having his powers for a fair amount of years, Cameron knew how to concentrate. The noise harangued him even more as blood began to run out of his ear. He noticed a Drone moving in on him, and it would either be now or never. He would have to use a great amount of energy, but it would buy him some time. Screaming out in pain, Cameron threw out his hands, unleashing a rather large Telekinetic Bomb Blast, fueled by the pain and rage in his body. The Bomb Blast flew out in waves, but did not have a far range due to his weakness. The Blast shattered through the swirling energy of the eyes, causing them to explode on contact. He was not as successful with the DRONE as it was hit with the impact of the blast in his chest, blasting him back to the other Shadow Demons. Prophet crawled back and hid behind the bar, trying to recuperate, but now, he seemed even weaker, and it would take him a very long time before his powers would be back at their greatest. He was exhausted, but if he vowed that by the end of this, Morgan and Alexis BOTH would know of Cameron King, the Prophet. »

<< Prophet's rage and primal instinct to bust loose manifested in a telekinetic display usually manifested only by the most centered and powerful of telekinetics. still..it was enough to obliterate the "Eyes"...and smash through the demons and the less fortified warbirds....but it only staggered the drones...who were designed to withstand an tremendous amount of impact>>
<< Prophet's pain and disorientation did not go unnoticed.....even as he hid behind the bar and as the Drones closed in on him..preparing once more to fire repulsor blasts......thunder rumbled in the air...and as the Drones reached for Prophet....in a resounding BOOM of thunder........they FROZE...right in their movement......not just temporally frozen in time...but TRULY frozen..as ice crystals formed around their bodies...the air now so cold around them that it began to condense....their carbonium steel bodies became quite brittle....>>
<< a shockingly familiar voice is heard in the now eeriely silent air>>:
Cameron....stand up. The can't hurt you now. I've seen to it.
<< in the shadows cast from the outside, a tall woman stands...wearing a body contouring, leather black cat suit (similar to that worn in the X-men movies)....her dark brunette hair pulled back into a sleek, front swooped bun...she steps forth...on high heeled boots....crushing debris under her heels>>
<< the moonlight reveals it to be ALISON. a flash of lightning highlights her haunting dark beauty. she is NOTHING like the woman Cameron saw at Illustra...yet as he beholds her....he can now see that same telling look in her cobalt blue eyes>>
Alison: we have to get out of here NOW. you...alexis...morgan...you're ALL in danger!
<< she held her gloved hand out>>
come with me. I have a lock on Alexis' location. She will NOT make it to Illustra unless we meet up with her first.

:: Lifting herself up, Alexis kept her eyes fixated on the shadow demon incase he wasn't dead. Wincing in pain, Alexis was pretty cut up. Being thrown and drug against the concrete cut her bare back up pretty bad. Blood stained her off-white lace dress and trickled down her now bruised face. Standing up slowly, her heals made a soft scratching noise against the concrete as she began to back away slowly from the shadow demon. Unaware if he was alive or dead, Alexis proceeded with caution....she had no idea what the hell that thing was, and who sent him. All she knew was that she needed to get out of this vacant parking lot where she was vulnerable to more attacks. ::
:: The wind continued to sweep violently past Alexis, blowing her hair into the moist cuts on her face and back. Her normally golden blonde locks with shades of red. Holding her throat, Alexis finally made it back to her beat up limo. Running to the driver's side, the door was already blown off showing a clear view of Marcus, her driver, burnt to a crisp. A small shriek escaped Alexis' lips as she backed up cupping her hand around her mouth. ::
"Oh my god..Oh god. Oh..."
:: Alexis voice was very scratchy and soft. The pressure and stressed inflicted on her throat made it difficult for her to speak. Slowly climbing into the drivers seat, her eyes made contact with Marcus' now black singed eyes. Cringing, she pressed a button next to the center console which lowered the privacy glass. Looking in the back of the limo she spotted her purse. Quickly, Alexis maneuvered her way into the back seat by climbing threw the now open space where the privacy glass would be. Grabbing her purse, she quickly opened it and took her cell phone out. Opening it up, she tried dialing any number, but the phone wouldn't work. ::
"DAMNIT!"
:: Throwing the phone down with frustration, she looked out the crushed, but still intact, tinted glass window. Still seeing the shadow demon laying on the concrete, Alexis sat back closing her eyes. She didn't even know where the hell she was. Her limo was busted beyond repair....and she didn't know if anymore of these demons were sent to find her. She had to leave...she couldn't stay, it was too dangerous, and she was too vulnerable. Alexis had to leave. ::
:: Kicking the crushed door a few times, it finally budged open. Pushing it, the door slowly began to open, enough for Alexis to squeeze threw. Stumbling out of the limo, she looked once again at the shadow demon...he was obviously dead, which gave Alexis some relief. Allowing her eyes to scan the area, she saw a familiar billboard sign a few miles away. Squinting her eyes, it looked like the same billboard near Illustra Inc. Hell, it was the only thing Alexis could go by, so she took it. Crossing her arms, she tried to keep warm as she began to walk, making her way towards what she hoped was Illustra Inc. As the wind continued to blow, Alexis winced every time the ice cold air hit her battered back. Grunting, Alexis whispered to herself ::
"Why me...uhhh...why me."

« Cameron was truly petrified at this point. He didn't have enough energy to keep up at the pace he was going. He had exhausted most of his energy in the Telekinetic Blast and now he had to rely on truly primal instinct and the street smarts he had to survive. He couldn't go out whimpering like a bastard. He stood up, and faced the crew of Mystech Lackeys, only this time, there was something completely different about them. They were literally frozen. The temperature in the room seemed icy cold and chills ran up Prophet's spine as he heard the voice of a woman in the distance. The flash of lightning illuminates her body to reveal Alison, the snotty assistant from the Offices of Illustra. Only tonight, she looked different. She looked powerful and strong. There was definitely something different. Cameron couldn't help but feeling like he was being set up, and with his powers at their lowest point and no way to be able to trust Alison, he decided that even if she was evil and planned on killing him, he would have time to recharge his powers and not be as useless. He grabbed her hand and pulled himself up further from the ground. As he dusted himself off and tasted the blood of his torn lip, he sighed to Alison. »
"This is some crazy shit going on right here! Serves me right.. I spend my whole life not socializing with mutants and in one day I meet two and here I am! «Sighs» Take me to your leader..."
« And so Cameron was ready to follow wherever Alison took him. He didn't know if it was to his death or if she really was there to protect him. Either way, he needed time to recharge and he would rather have Alison as a Friend than a Foe. »

<< Alison stares at Prophet...>>
a telepath, telekinetic...you arrived at Illustra thinking you would "persuade" Morgan into doing your bidding. How little you know or understand about MAGICK. Mutants are but one deviation of the human condition....there are forces in this world far older..and far more POWERFUL than you could possibly know.
<< she helps him out of the wreckage and into the stormy open air outside of the Rainbow room>>
I am Guardian....a Seer ....and a whole lot more. But now is not the time. we have to get out of here now.....but first we must get to Alexis. She is nearby. She is in terrible danger.....and if we dont get back to Illustra, the Sentinels that have been dispatched to the surface.....will be descend upon us.
<< Guardian leads the way , as she and Prophet move through the city blocks...the city seemed so dark...almost like it was on the edge of an oblivion. the lights of buildings and light posts flickered..as the winds howled with anger...and the skies above billowed with thunder and lightning>>
--------------------------------------
<< As Shockwave made her way through those same streets...trying to get to Illustra.....she couldnt help but feel a surge in electrical charge in the air......as she looked around.....she saw flying in the air above...two War birds.....large unusually shapped flying battle crafts armed with an array of capturing devices and repulsor blasts...they too bore the logo of MysTech...as they spotted her and began to emit a siren of alert....no doubt for any others in the area to converge>>
<< the closed in on her quickly...zig zag formation..peppering the ground right up to her with a barrage of repulsor blasts...each one leaving a blast crater in the ground...as the bolts got closer and closer to her>>

:: Alexis continuing to walk down the deserted streets of Manhattan. Looking around the very dark streets...this wasn't the New York City she's known and loved for so many years. Something was very wrong. Her stomach dropped and her heart began to race..Alexis knew something horrible was brewing. Suddenly Alexis heard a rumbling. Looking up, she saw two air crafts hovering over her at a very low altitude. The winds rushed violently around the surrounding area, making Alexis stumble and unable to see clearly. What the hell is going on?! Managing to brush her blowing hair out of her eyes, she looked up at the aircrafts, seeing the giant MysTech logo yet again...who the hell was behind all this?! Suddenly, a horribly load siren began to ring making Alexis close her hears at first --- but she knew the siren was for those shadow demon creatures that already attacked her. ::
:: Thrusting her hand in the air at one of the ships, a dark blue beam shot from the belly of the ship to the palm of her hand, all the power from the ship was slowly being drained. The lights began to flicker, the craft began to struggled to stay in the air. Putting her other palm up, she screamed with rage as she brought both her hands back to her chest, and thrusted them forward to the other ship, sending all the energy she took from the first one flying at the second. The energy was so powerful it caused the ship to overload, and with that, both ships collided into each other in a huge explosion of flames. The force of the explosion blew Alexis off her feet, and again, onto the ground. Covering her head from flying debris...it was too late however. The siren reached all of the shadow demons, and tons...to many to count, began to circle around her. Explosions were being set off left and right, causing Alexis to try to take cover. Even more Shadow Demons began to show up...it had to be at least 30 of them. ::
"Jesus Christ..."
:: Throwing her hands towards the demons, energy balls, lightning bolts, and plasma streams began to fly from her palms one by one. Demons soon began to drop at the dozons, but to every demon that dropped, more would show up. Alexis was way over her head but she refused to give up without a fight. Explosions continued to blast around her, causing Alexis to get cornered. A circular crater was created making it seem like Alexis was in a cage. Around the outside of the crater, the demons stood. ::

« Cameron reluctantly followed Alison after she berated him. She really needed to work on her people skills. He looked around at the City that once seemed so green, busy and happy. It looked like a war zone. The weather was in a rage of a storm. Lightning was crashing down left and right, making extremely loud thunderous roars, making it almost impossible to hear anything. Though the fog was extremely thick, Cameron saw flashing lights and spurts of energy in the distance. Both Alison and Cameron knew that Alexis was at the center of the blasts. Prophet took a chance and ran forward calling to Alison to aid him. »
"Alison! It's Alexis! Come on! I can sense it! She's in trouble...."
« Though Cameron was once weak, he seemed to feel a rush of adrenaline, and that was pretty much what he was running on at this point. As the fog seemed to clear, he could see that there were way more demons than he had expected. He needed to be prepared at this time. He needed to catch them off guard, with a squint of his eyes he sent a horde of the Shadow Demons flying away from the huge crater that had fallen into the ground. Quickly Cameron dropped inside one of the large craters himself, so that the Demons wouldn't know what had caused the blast and might have assumed that it was Alexis. Cameron pushed out with his mind's eye as he located Alexis, creating a telepathic link between the two. He let her know that he was there and with reinforcements. »
"Alexis.. It's Cameron King.. I am here, I am going to try and help you. I have help.. You're not going to believe it, but it's Alison.. Morgan Victoria's assistant.. I know it's hard to believe, but you have to fight, cause if your not willing to help me help you, I can leave you for dead right now..."
« Not waiting for her response, Prophet jumped out of the crater in the ground and attacked again. This time he went for blood as he concentrated extremely hard. It would be hard to gain telekinetic contact with the Demons, but he could get some of them. He focused in on their bodies, their pulses, their breathing. It all seemed like one to him. At once he grunted and lashed out with his power as the hearts of several Shadow Demons were ripped straight from their chest. Those who were not killed by the attack were extremely wounded internally. He looked back at Alison and seemed terrified. »
"Ok, Alison.. Normally I would just say fuck it and to have us get out of here, but we need to help her!"
« He knew that Alison would most likely have some kind of catty remark but he hoped that she would sense his genuity in wanting to help Alexis and just go in for the kill. He had fought the demons and it was hard for him. If Alison had not come along he would have died, and he didn't wish that to happen to anyone else. Time was running out. They needed to get to Illustra. »

<< Guardian looked at Prophet was an unforgiving look of disgust. It seemed as though she looked THROUGH him. The young mutant had no idea what he was thrusting himself into...in the short term OR in the larger sense. as she brought up the rear.....she immediately flung her hands out in a gesture.....accelerating the immediate temporal fields around another handfull of demons AND at the same time, accelerating their molecular structure...causing them to spin violently fast before EXPLODING >>
<< noticing Prophet as he grand standed.....herding a handfull of demons into a crater from one of the earlier blasts....the mutant attempted to sieze and rip out their "hearts">>
Prophet you FOOL.......these ARENT humanoid creatures! they synthetic creatures that channel energy and are powered by MAGICK! you cannot lock onto what isnt there!
<< her warning came too late. the armored shadow demons that were now in the crater with him immediately rushed forward....lashing out with their shadow whips.....slicing at his face, arms and chest again and again with fluency and high velocity!>>
<< Guardian turned.....and gestured like Prue....forcibly sweeping back another group of Shadow Demons....sending them sprawling like crumpled pieces of paper caught up in a wind...smashing through a store front window. clearly her TK power was beyond Cameron's...a fact that did not sit well with him>>
Kindly FINISH what youve started..... while i see to Alexis!
<< several feet ahead of Guardian ...a drone had moved up on Shockwave...striking her HARD and knocking her back across the ground........it hefted a large truck...and was about to DROP IT down on her.....>>
<< Guardian rushed forward.....snapping her fingers...and distored the temporal field around the drone..slowing his movements down to a SNAILS pace...allowing Alexis to scramble out of the way.......and once she was a safe distance away...Guardian gestured..and froze him in time as well as freezing the body completely down to the molecular level...the air around him was blistering cold as he was now completely immobilized.....and the carbonium steel was now brittle from the freezing.....primed for Alexis to finish off>>
Alexis!.......finish him off!

« Prophet did his best to block the swipes, as he was cut across the chest, a large amount of blood began to seep through his shirt. This was not how he wanted to spend a Friday night. He fell to the ground as Alison used her TK to knock a group of Demons back into a store front window. He was extremely jealous of her power, but the pain across his chest and the attacking demons stopped him from being too catty with the Seer. Prophet was not going to stop fighting, he just had to get a little more creative now. Throwing his hands up, he thrust them back into the wall of the crater. Closing his eyes, he projected his Astral Form into the crater as well, now that there was a full strength version of himself, Cameron's powers would be doubled. Looking at each other, they both smirked. Astral Cameron put a TK Hold on the horde of demons, not allowing them any movement whatsoever while the Real Cameron went to work. He had to figure out a way to kill them quick and gruesomely. He flew one into the air as it was hurled up into the sky and effectively landing on a jagged 6 inch thick metal pole, crushing him right through the chest. As he turned to the others, he noticed a warbird in the air firing some powerful energy blasts. Using his Telekinesis he twirked the warbird as it fired it's pulsor blast as it made direct contact with one of the Shadow Demons as he expanded the energy making it hit the rest of the Demons, vaporizing them almost on contact. Their shadowed cries were all Cameron heard as he collapsed to the floor at the bottom of the crater, teleporting his Astral Form over to Alison and Alexis. »
"I'm down in the crater.. I have a pretty wicked slash across my chest.. I clotted the blood, but I do neep help. The Demons are dead..."
« He noticed that Alison wasn't paying much attention to him at all and now he knew why. He saw Alexis cornered by a rather Large Drone that Alison had had somehow manipulated. It was just standing there waiting to be finished off. This was the first time he would see Alexis use her powers in person, and from seeing the way she had handled her father, he knew he was in for a show. »
"Get ready for the fireworks..."

:: As Alexis continue to fight the Shadow Demons, she heard Cameron's voice echo inside her head. Distracting her, she looked around seeing where he could be...and why he was here? Suddenly, she saw shadow demons flying through the air in every direction. Knowing Cameron was close, she felt relieved --- she had some help to destroy these bastards. But suddenly, a demon caught her off guard and hit her forcing her to fly back. Landing with a grunt, she managed to lift her head just in time to see the demon holding a huge truck above her. Alexis' eyes became wide...but then, it's movements stopped. Looking closely, the demon wasn't actually frozen...but moving at an unbelievably slow pace. Taking this opportunity, Alexis quickly scrambled out of the way. As she maneuvered back, she heard a voice oh too familiar to her. It was Alison! Hearing her words, she quickly acted without thinking about why Alison was there, and why the hell she was helping her. ::
:: Alexis placed her open hand forward, palm pointing towards the ground. Alexis' eyes flashed white the ground began to rumble under her. Forcing energy into the ground, there was what looked like a wave of concrete heading towards to the demon --- a shockwave of some sort. Finally the concrete burst under the demon, and lightning emerged from the ground, caging the demon like a wild animal. Turning her hand slowly around, so her palm was facing the sky, the lightning closed tighter onto the demon. ::
"Shockwave's a bitch? Huh..."
:: Clenching her fist shut, the lightning engulfed the demon. A claw like image could be seen pulling the demon down into the crater that was created by Alexis' shockwave. And as quickly as the demon was there, it was gone in a cloud of dust. Dropping her hand, everything disappeared and her eyes became blue again. Alexis was drained of energy --- her body was battered and bloody from the constant tumbling on the concrete and powerful blows she received from the demons. Dropping to her knees, Alexis' eyes met with Alison. Her feud with the woman didn't even enter her mind, she was just glad she came when she did. Alexis hated to admit it, but she owed Alison. ::

<< Guardian pulled Alexis up>>
Keep moving....things just got WORSE!
<< she pushed Alexis forward...to usher her to make a run for Illustra>>
HURRY!!
<< turning around...she ran back for Prophet....reaching the crater....she gestured once more....accelerating time around the armored demons themselves...causing them to spin so fast..they became disoriented...and simultaneously accelerating the molecules in their armour....one by one they exploded....Guardian bent down and held her hand out to Prophet>>
Get up here NOW!!....we dont have much time!!!
<< Alison KNEW what was coming.....the Sentinels AND the Techno Organic virus was quickly rising through the pipes and mechanical workings beneath the city.....and they had to get inside....where the MAGICK would keep them all safe from infection>>
<< she yanked him up>>
RUN FOR IT BOY!
<< an eerie sound...that of the city powering down....as many power cells were being ruptured from the chain reactions of the Citadle's shake up/meltdown/lock up.....the sounds of auto accidents could be heard...people screaming....chaos was beginning to fill the air>>
Guardian: <<thinking>> Black Widow, her soldiers and Tempest should be arriving shortly......goddess hope that that prideful wench doesnt become her OWN greatest enemy....there forces here that even SHE cant comprehend. << Guardian began to make a run for it herself....she was several paces behind Shockwave and Prophet.........timing it just right so that she could get Black Widow and Tempest inside Illustra as well...before the virus reached street level!>>

:: Alexis was roughly pulled up by Alison, wincing from her touch. Hearing her words about how there was worse things coming, Alexis didn't understand. How the hell did Alison know about this? Maybe she was behind it and was trying to get Alexis to Illustra to trap her. Alison then pushed Alexis forward indicating she needed move....she began to walk in a fast pace looking back to see where Alison was going. But soon, her attention wasn't on Alison and Cameron, but it was on the city. Her eyes widened as all the lights soon began to flicker and shut down. Finally, Alexis began to move, running down the street towards Illustra. Turning her head to look back, she saw Cameron and Alison following behind. ::
"What the hell is going on, Alison?!!"
:: Alexis shouted as she continued to run. With ever step she took, more lights from the normally bright and vibrant sky scrapers, shut off. ::

Haleigh appears, flanked by two of her operatives, right before the doors of Illustra. she looks up at the sky... she can feel the electricity in her ribs and the trouble in her hardened heart. something is coming, and Haleigh is getting tired of the feeling. They stop and turn though, as they hear the pounding of footsteps on pavement. Haleigh cocked her head slightly sideways, taking in the view. Shockwave, Prophet, and then Alison in succession, all running towards them.
"Interesting. I suspected Alison a diet (http://69.42.87.196/cgi-bin/v40/ezlclk.fcgi?id=6746) and excercise girl... but she is.... really fast."
Man right:"It seems they are all running."
Man left:"Retreating into the building."
"Alright.... I guess we should go too."
She said with a heavy sarcastic sigh as Alexis passes them and Eva and two more men appear. She pivoted on her heel and passed into the building. The man on her left dug into a pocket and began tending to Haleigh's shallow wound, and after he wiped the excess blood from her cheek, she swatted him away and instead pulled a small handheld device from his breastpocket.
"Stop fussing... I've had HOLES to the bone. This... pfft. What's taking Victoria so long?"
She said, pressing a sequence of buttons on the device. It looked like a PDA... but its functions were much more impressive. Every technical design by CI was embedded with a locating chip.... including the new designs Haleigh and Morgan were wearing. Haleigh cycled through the various active chips in the field.... several HUNDRED... and found two listed together with model numbers that matched the suit she was wearing. The screen listed current vital stats and location.... and the handheld began playing a feed of the noise that surrounded Spellbinder. The ground was starting to tremor with increasing intensity... and the lights were flickering. Everyone stood around... quieting down as they could heard the cold metallic voice of a sentinel identifying Spellbinder. They all heard the ensuing clash of Spellbinder defending herself against the sentinel... listening on as Morgan talks to herself... fights the enemy with a spell to call power.... and then takes off toward Illustra with a last parting comment. Haleigh turns off the sound of wind rushing into the mike... She smiles and shakes her head.
"Any minute now.... she is going to realize that I am as valuable to her as she is to me.... and that my value would DEPRECIATE with my demise. Alison.... she listens to you.... perhaps it would do us all well for YOU to mention that little factiod to her."
She is not angry... nor does she seem upset at the fact that a high-power sorceress just made a threat on her life.... She looks around at the small crowd. One operative scans the room and walks around a bit. Two face the door and stand their ground. One remains at Haleigh's side. Haleigh watches (http://69.42.87.196/cgi-bin/v40/ezlclk.fcgi?id=6838) Eva a few seconds, then Alison, Alexis, and in turn, Cameron. This is the first time she's seen this man, and she suspects that no one is here out of coincidence... Cameron can get a shallow read of her thoughts and emotions... but he also gets the sense that she is trained in suppressing and compartmentalizing strong feelings and past memories. It is an eerie feeling at best.

« Cameron saw more of the Shadow Demons coming after him. Thankfully, Guardian arrived in the knick of time, and lived up to her name as she killed the remaining demons as he was just moments from becoming prey to them. He grabbed Alison's hand and for a brief moment he reconsidered his stand on her. She really was there to help. He quickly dusted himself off as his astral form returned to his body. He saw Alexis was running far up ahead of him towards the Offices of Illustra. He was sensing impending danger before but this had been worse than anything that he was able to see. The crash of automobiles could be heard in the distance as flashes of lightning and electrical shortages flickered in the air. Prophet finally caught up to Alexis, noticing Alison was close behind him. He winked keeping up a fast pace. »
"Well.. I can.. honestly say.. « Breathing Heavily » I didn't think we would meet again quite like this!"
« He turned his attention back to the streets jumping over boulders and small craters. In the distance he could see the tall skyscraper of Illustra. They were close now. Everything in his body wanted to make him quit but he kept on going. Cameron was not giving up. As they came up to the Office doors, he saw a rather striking woman standing with two Secret Service Agent looking men. Cameron could only sigh and somewhat laugh a exhausted and lethargic laugh. »
"Don't tell me.. This girl is a mutant too? Man Alison, how did I get myself into this?"
« He burst through the doors as he leaned against a wall, breathing extremely heavy due to the gash on his stomach, he tried to hide the pain in front of the people he did not know. He turned his attention to Hayleigh as he scanned her brain, quickly picking up a quick bit of information on her. There was something different about her. She wasn't blocked from his powers, but she seemed to have a high resistance to psychic abilities, just like himself. He picked up that she was skilled in being cold.. sometimes literally with her power. As he looked at the others in the room he saw everyone there.. Alexis, Alison, this new girl Hayleigh, a beautiful woman in a waitress outfit.. Everyone was there.. except for Morgan. He had figured she would be right in the brunt of things. He focused his attention back to Hayleigh, looking at her bag. »
"You have anything like a compress in your little bag of treats? I could use it.. I clotted the blood, but it keeps pushing against me..."

:: Alexis' body was aching as she continued to run towards Illustra. She wanted to stop so badly, but she knew she had to get into safety. Finally only a few yards from Illustra's main doors, she saw the photographer from before and two body guards standing next to her. Obviously she wasn't whom she said she was...but nevertheless, if she was at Illustra, she must know what's going on. Slowing to a jog finally, Alexis burst through the glass doors and collapsed into a near by chair that was placed by the receptionist desk. Completely out of breath, Alexis couldn't breath well as it was since the Shadow Demon tried crushing her esophagus like a toothpick. Grabbing her throat, she desperately gasped for air, feeling dizzy from lack of oxygen. ::
"Wha...."
:: Alexis couldn't finish her sentence, she was too weak. The normally beautifully sculpted woman that both Haileigh and Cameron met earlier was nothing more than a bloody mess. Brush burn like cuts with blood seeping out of them could be seen up and down her shoulder blades and lower back. Gashes on her arms and small cuts on her legs added to her battered appearance....not to mention the large bruise on her jaw and cuts on her face from the butt of one of the shadow demons guns being slammed into her face. Alexis was a bloody mess...but held her own for as long as she could during those circumstances. Normally Alexis would have been more prepared, but being caught off guard really screwed her over in this situation. ::
:: Hunched over allowing her head to hand, her blood stained blonde locks covered the pain written all over Alexis face. Her breathing started to slow, as she slowly began to catch her breath. Lifting her head up a bit, her eyes shifted around the room, seeing Eva...a woman she's never met before, standing in the distance, Haileigh of course, and Cameron, tending to his wound. Letting her head hang once more, Alexis closed her eyes allowing her body to rest for a few moments. ::

Haleigh looked at Cameron... and licked her lips as she tucked the handheld away. She pulled what he asked for out... and tossed it to him underhand. She folded her arms across her chest, nodding in acknowledgement. She was aware that at this point it was pointless to withhold 'basic' information at this point. They were all exposed for the supernaturals that they were... and if anyone learned to much... Haleigh had ways of taking care of them... after the target outcome was acheived.
"You have a name?"
Her men were scanning the outside through the glass in the doorways with their weapons on full alert, while one continued to walk around. the man at Haleigh's side looked at each of those standing around... just like Haleigh, he was evaluating the situation and the participants.

:: Lifting her head up slowly, Alexis brushed away the hair from her face. Tucking it behind her ears, she Alison walk through Illustra's doors. Without getting a word in, Alexis stood up wincing, and walked into the express elevator heading to the penthouse. Walking out of the elevator, Alexis looked around seeing how dimly lit the area was. With a wave of her hand, the lights flickered for a few moments, while some others burst not being able to take the energy charge. Soon, the penthouse was lit to it's normal capacity. Parting her dry lips, she immediately walked over to the couch and sat...not really caring what she got bloody. Looking up at one of Haileigh's guards, she finally spoke. ::

Haleigh watched the collision with slight disinterest. the gore in front of her had no effect on her... she even watched the decapitated head roll to the curb...but shows no reaction, no displeasure... no emotion at all. It leads others to believe she saw a lot of it in whatever it was she did... she followed the direction up to the top floor. She looks around, and two of her men follow her cue, looking around and calling adjacent rooms clear before returning. Haleigh and Gaurdian start spewing order at the same time... Haleigh's was drops and she speaks into the throat mike in her suit again, while Alison speaks aloud.
"Base ops.... yeah... it looks like im going to need four more Z7s. Three female, one male. Some tatical gear and weaponry. Have Jen bring me those files i asked for."
One of the gaurds walked over to Alexis and nod, tending to her wounds and cleaning her up. this man seemed to pull everything out of his pockets like they were bottomless. He looked like he was strong enough to snap mose of alexis' bones with his hands.... yet his touch was soft like a doctor's. Haleigh separates blinds with her fingers and looks warily on the city. chaos is erupting everywhere, and though she wont admit it.... she'd glad to hear of the warding spell that acts as a safety blanket. She turns to Alison, slight frustration manifesting itself. She was always impatient, and her tone came across not sharp but almost.... anxious.
"Yes well... the sooner we confront 'them', the faster it can be over. Why didn't she just use her stepping disk? Does Morgan ALWAYS waste time showboating her abilities?"

:: Alexis closed her eyes for a few moments allowing the guard to clean and bandage her wounds. Thoughts ran through her head about the events that just happened. The MysTech symbol kept flashing in her mind...it seemed to be everywhere today. Wincing a bit as the guard hit one of her more tender wounds, Alexis' eyes opened once she realized he was done, and nodded to him. ::
"Thank you."
:: Her voice had no emotion to it. It was as if Alexis was physically in the room, but very detached. Looking to Alison, then Haleigh, and finally to Cameron, she finally stood. Lifting her hands, she brushed her hair knotty hair back into a pony tail -- at this point, Alexis could care less about what she looked like...everyone in the room looked shitty one way or another. Looking down at her bloodstained dress and stiletto heals, Alexis knew this was going to be a very long night...and her outfit was defiantly inappropriate for whatever was lying ahead. Suddenly her dress began to dematerialize...looking again, as if it turned into liquid. Soon her once beautiful dress turned into dark chocolate, boot cut, low rise leather pants, a crimson form fitting tank that rested slightly above the waistline of her pants and dipped low enough to see some clevage, and dark chocolate spike healed leather boots. A more comfortable style after what she was previously in, Alexis walked towards one of the many mirrors placed throughout the living room. ::
"Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on?"
:: Looking at the bruise that was visible on her jaw, she rubbed it gently with her fingers. Letting out an annoyed sigh, she slicked back her hair which was now in a pony tail, and turned around facing the group of people. Crossing her arms, she maneuvered around the furniture and made her way over to the windows where Haleigh was standing....peeking outside, New York City looked more like a battle ground than an actual city. Shaking her head in disbelief, she awaited an answer to her question. ::

*They finally popped back into view, as Eva held onto one of the arms of her assailents, trying not to tip over. The stood in front of a rather large, prestige building that looked like it held some important business in the city. She turned her head with Haleigh's as she heard the footsteps, thinking it was more demons coming for them. She however, only saw three more people running for their lives towards the building. Eva curiously scratched her head as she looked back at Haleigh, who was now walking through the front door. She jolted forward and followed the woman and armed guards into the building, finding a little niche next to a wall as she leaned against it, putting her right leg up against the wall behind her in a little triangle format. She watched the men try to get Haleigh cleaned up, to no avail as she almost knocked them all away. Eva grinned, standing their patiently as she had no clue what the hell was going on. She looked over at the pda instrument in the woman's hand, listening to the noises coming out of it, being able to recognize the tall woman's voice coming from the other side. Haleigh commented some things and Eva's grin only grew wider as she thought about the possibility of these two women ripping themselves to shreds after this was all done and over with. You just knew something was going to go down.*
"What is this..."
*Before she could finish her sentence, two of the three people they'd seen running towards them entered through the front doors; one female, the other male. She didn't recognize either of them, probably hotshots from their own companies as well as it seemed the two women she had met were. Eva never said a word as she relaxed against the cool marble, letting her breath catch back up with her, casually looking over the scrapes and wounds on her arms and upper body. She'd rather sit back and watch everyone else in the room, get to learn more about them before she came out with any information. They were still strangers...and any one of them could be working for MysTech undercover. Suddenly the third person burst through the doors and something about her was just off the charts. She began ushering them all up into the elevator. Eva looked at the door for a minute, then pushed off the wall with her right foot and followed suit, rather being with the more powerful people than stuck alone with any more of those...things. As they entered the grand apartment, her mouth almost hit the floor. She'd never seen anything so HUGE before. It was beautifully decorated, expensive, yet chic. She liked it, even though she knew she'd never see anything like this again in her life. She moved over to one of the many couches and sat down on the armrest, looking around the room and finally at all the people occupating it. She looked them all over, remembering them and keeping them down in her memory as one of the newer women finally brought up the question she'd been waiting for.*

« Cameron smiled as he grabbed the compress and began to wravel it around his chest. He eyed Hayleigh with great intrigue, wondering what other tricks she had up her sleeves. She was obviously a powerful woman. At least powerful enough to have people working under her. He thanked her for the compress and gave his name. »
"Cameron.. Cameron King.. Thanks for the help.. I assume you have a name as well?"
« Before Hayleigh had time to respond, Guardian rushed in and ushered them into the Express Elevators. As they rose floor after floor, he took a look at the people around them. They were completely disheveled. Some wounded, some bloody, but all looked extremely exhausted. The elevator dinged and opened to reveal a posh penthouse that it was hard for him to believe that this was at the top of Illustra. Outside the weather seemed to rage and roar, but the sounds barely made it past the glass of the Penthouse. It was as if silence had consumed everything. He watched as Alison began to secure the floor. The warding spell seemed to make him feel safe for the moment as he decided he would try and figure out what the hell they were all here for. How they were connected. »
"I don't know Alexis.. but I have a feeling it's all connected to Morgan Victoria.. How do we know this all isn't a trap that the witch and her lacky set for us?"
« Cameron, although he was ballsy looked around the room, comforted that Alison was not present. It gave him room to talk freely. He continued on. »
"All I know was that I was in the Rainbow Room having a drink and then I find myself battling some snarling ass black demons with robot friends. Obviously we all aren't normal.. I am guessing mutants? Formalities are over.. It's time to spill those dirty secrets.. WHAT was chasing after us?"
« Prophet looked around the room waiting for someone to answer his damn question. »

:: Turning away from the window, she looked to Cameron as he spoke. He had a valid point however --- could she really trust these people...ESPECIALLY Alison and Morgan. As the thoughts ran through her head about the situation, she let out small sigh. Alison DID assist her when she was being attacked...but it could also be a trap so Alison could gain her trust and turn on her in the end. Alexis was going crazy as she continued to over-analyze the situation. The only solid evidence that she knew was that MysTech was behind this. ::
"All I know for sure are that those...things had the MysTech logo...."
:: Looking around the room, Alexis grew extremely annoyed. No one was answering her question. It wasn't as if it was a STUPID question. She wanted to know what the hell was going on, and why she was being attacked. ::
"Look, someone better start talking--obviously these things are after us all, and I want to know why the hell i'm thrown in the middle of it!"
:: As Alexis spoke, her voice rose with anger. The lights in the apartment began to flicker indicating that she was extremely ticked off. Call it a hissy fit, call it a tantrum, Alexis didn't give a rip, she was almost killed and she demanded to know WHY. ::

"Yes, I do..."
Haleigh began to Cameron... but didn't get very far, as Alexis began getting irritated and edgy. Guardian took immediate control.... but also rubbed Haleigh the WRONG way in the process. Haleigh stood, hand on her hips, with a oh-no-you-didnt look on her face. The two nearest men bristled to the threat she voiced, raising their assault rifles, small red laser dots appearing on either side of Guardian's head... but haleigh cleared her throat, and moved closer. She stood at the side of one of the men and placed her hand on his weapon.
"Relax, gentlemen... it was just a friendly suggestion. go rest.. someone get me a VERY strong drink." Haleigh locked eyes with Alison, glaring at the woman. her voice had a calculated cool to it, as though it was a precursor to anger... "You are SORELY mistaken if you think I am underprepared for anything, you delusional paranoid-schitzophrenic. you're referring to the TO virus, right? Now why don't you stop attempting to lord information over me and just TELL us what exactly it is that you THINK I dont already know." Haleigh cast a glance to Alexis and Cameron, licking her lips as one of her men handed her a glass. "I'm guessing each of us secretly knows our relationship (http://69.42.87.196/cgi-bin/v40/ezlclk.fcgi?id=7174) to the situation... but I will vouch for Miss Victoria and her assistant... they are no more the CAUSE of this than any of the rest of us. There exists an underground collection of doctors (http://69.42.87.196/cgi-bin/v40/ezlclk.fcgi?id=7104) and various evil supernaturals that are experimenting with deadly viruses to create bioweapons. Funded by MYSTECH... These are the mad-scientists of the bunch.... bent on world destruction and that whole bit. Christopher Victory and Adam Chandler are at the helm of these operations... and they really ARE underground.... under this very city, in fact. Interject any time here, Alison. If my suspicions are on target.... the TO virus isn't ALL we have to worry about.... BLACK may be alive as well."

« As Hayleigh began to speak, Cameron began to wait patiently for whatever information he was going to get, and from the looks of her, she had to know something important. Before she could get a word in, Alexis began to express her concern about the situation. It was rather sudden and nobody seemed to know what was going on except for the people who weren't talking. Without a moment's notice, Alison burst back on to the scene and Cameron found himself along with Alexis hitting the back of a plush couch. Soon, he began to feel slowed down as if he couldn't move from his spot. Alexis looked the same way to. He listened to Alison's speel and could only roll her eyes. Who did this amazonian bitch think she was? He wanted to get up and go after her but he could not. Her powers were beginning to annoy him severly. Soon Hayleigh began to go right back at Alison. He could tell he was going to like this girl. She served what Alison was spewing right back to her on a silver pristine platter, but Cameron still seemed pretty confused. »
"Well, Hayleigh, your explanation is all fine and dandy, but I know that for 100% I have nothing to do with Mystech or anyone working for it. All I know is that I came here for a business meeting where miss Freeze Ray over there proceeding to freeze myself and my assistant.. who I haven't been able to get a read on, and where I watched Morgan go into a Shit Fit about someone named Foxfire or Blaze... «Mimics the situation» Oh Alison! It seemed so real! Oh no! So I am sorry if I don't think that you, Alison, or your boss, Miss Victoria aren't the most mentally stable people to be listening to. I don't know who Black is, and I don't know who or what Mystech is. The only reason is I am here is because I would rather be in here than out there.."
« Cameron slinked back on the couch. He may have been a little rude, but he had dealt with bitches worse than any in the room his entire life. Cameron had lived on the streets, fighting every single day for his life, and if they thought for ONE MINUTE that he would risk his life for these strangers that he never met, they were sorrily mistaken. »
"I will stay and play your little game for NOW.. as long as you Alison yourself, give me some information on the whereabouts of my assistant Vivica Lennox.. Aka Recall..."

Guardian: an alcoholic who cant keep a man.....a two bit stock broker who's success is hinged upon psychic manipulation and is really nothing more than the scared homeless orphan he always was? to think.......the fate of the entire city....possibly the state rests in the hands of such pathetic self absorbed creatures. an
<< Guardian feigned deference to Haleigh....for a few moments..before suddenly turning and gesturing like piper and accelerating the molecules of the bodies of Black Widow's men....blowing them up right where they stood as their screams echoed>>
<< she then turned...and smirked at Black Widow....as ALL of her tech was truely frozen.....down to a molecular level...making it not only inert..but very brittle....it would break at the merest touch. she too was immobilized>>
dont bother trying to "compensate" or "cope" you robotech reject. here you are..and here youll STAY.
this is BEYOND the power of Clandestine Intelligence, Haleigh....and by the way.... the barrier of magick that protects us from intruders will also BLOCK any possible reinforcements you think you can summon. it takes LESS than a thought for YOU to share the fate of your men. now BE SILENT..or BE EXPUNGED! oh and by the way....those men you had with you.....they were employed by MysTech.....they are WELL AWARE of you and your attempts to gain an inroad into the citadle. your contact inside the citadle? DEAD...probably infected with the Techno Organic virus. and YOU?? when this is all said and done..you will be made the scape goat of the entire mess...ousted by Clandestine...and sought after by the U.S. government as well as MysTech. YOU my dear little wanna be "Linda Hamilton" are WAY in over your head.
<< Guardian sighed as she moved toward the scrying glass>>
Spellbinder is on her way........things are about to go from bad to worse...
<< having immobilized everyone in the room except Eva ...a move that seemed NECESSARY given the incorrigable attitudes of all the others present.....the building began to shake>>
despite Black Widow's flawed and pitifully one dimensional analysis of the situation....she IS on the right track.
what is happening down below in the city, is the direct result of the demented machinations of MysTech....the most powerful commericial entity on the planet to date. its deft ability to synergize magick and technology, as well as BIOtechnology have made it one of the most dangerous covert operations that threatens GLOBAL security.
<< an aerial view of MysTech corp....and a side scrolling view of the under ground citadle...followed by an indepth, "first person prespective" virtual tour of various floors of the citadle...including the bio systems lab>>
<< Guardian's eyes began to glow solid white...as she waved her hand...and the large scrying glass began to glow...showing real time visuals of everything Guardian spoke of>>
Alexis' father, Adam...is alive and well. He has partnered with Morgan's father, Christopher. Foxfire...aka Blaze Fielding, a former ops agent for another covert agency that was over taken by MysTech was captured during her battle againt MysTech's Axis of evil. OBVIOUSLY Morgan and Alexis are tied to this because of their fathers.
<< images of the two men...so evil and almost demonic looking...as they tortured Foxfire in the Citadle>>
MysTech's latest attempt... to control and engineer the Techno Organic virus....which was discovered quite by accident when they captured a rare and unusual demon in the northern artic regions...has gone horribly awry.
Their test subject, Foxfire, has an omega class healing factor...and in their ill fated attempts to subjugate her...the backlash has destroyed their gene splicer, and unleashed the virus within the citadle. because it can travel through fiber optics, metal and other technological sources as well as biological organisms....its spreading so fast...and has already reached the surface ground of NYC.
<< images of the FIRST NYC citizens being infected could be seen..amongst car wrecks, fires, people being trampled by others...while newly infected individuals lash out..attacking those still living...and buildings themselves were being over run with the virus...and becoming ANIMATED! it was absolutely unreal>>
Sentinels...mutant hunters have been dispatched...leaving Prophet, who's primarily psychic powers are useless agsint them ..QUITE vulnerable. yet his abilities will come in much handy when you arrive at the Citadle.
<< the glass pulsates as the images swirl and change again>>
Eva Valentine...the FIRST mutant to ESCAPE MysTech and LIVE this long.....has been evading their repeated attempts to capture her. It is only the last 48 hours that they have stepped up their efforts. Alexis, Eva, Cameron...Morgan...are ALL prime targets of MysTech, while Haleigh has been their unwitting puppet all along.....as MysTech has LONG since penetrated the security of Clandestine..and MANY of its workers are on MysTech's payroll.....and alone you WILL NOT prevail against this entity....and the city will fall....leading to far reaching catastrophe.
while most of you here are too selfish to comprehend what that means in the long term......you are now faced with a choice.......
<< Guardian is interrupted at that moment....the classic CRACK of thunder booms...as a stepping disc opens....and Spellbinder falls through>>
Spellbinder:....Foxfire.....the city.....its coming apart...people are tearing each other to pieces..fires every where......and SENTINELS......I destroyed two...but where there's one..HUNDREDS usually follow.
<< she was breathing heavily....it was obvious that she'd been battling hard......as she looked up....to see Alexis, Cameron, Haleigh...all immobilized....the scorch marks of where two people ONCE stood.....and the young woman from Shooters>>
Spellbinder: <<standing up...and tossing her now let down, "farrah fawcett feathered" ,blonde double highlighted hair back>> Guardian....what the hell!? why are THEY here!? << glaring at them all>>
<< the sounds of chaos on the stree grew more fierce...as the scrying glass simultaneously provided a hard look of the carnage and unnatural havok being wrecked below....the magickal barrier around Illustra was holding strong...much to the relief of everyone.>>

"Well Mr. King....if you weren't involved before, you ARE now. Welcome to our friendly little club. PFFFT. DONT insult me... I wouldn't work for Morgan Victoria if HER LIFE depended on it."
Haleigh glares at Alison as she is immobilized, clenching her teeth, her eyes lit afire...and cameron can 'hear' her fantasizing about drowning Alison in her own blood.... but she stops, relaxes and chuckles. She realizes that fighting Alison is wasting energy AND irritating her.... and that what was happening at the moment took priority over a claws-out brawl, as satiating as one would be. She sighs...acting as though the information Alison is giving her is nothing new.... it WAS disturbing... but Haleigh could roll with the punches.... and deal with that later, when there wasn't a gaggle of strangers who would be privy to her business.
"Release me so i can have a drink, you control freak. I'm not going anywhere, and I wont HARM you because I need you alive.... Of COURSE they knew about my plans... they were senior officers... if they WERE sleepers... then it was MY perogative to deal with them as i please... and it was WRONG of you to take that from me. I don't doubt my contact IS dead, dear... expendable.... the world of intelligence is a game of chess. Hey, look at the bright side... if this all gets blamed on me... I'll be notorious... lots of clout Underground. Are you trying to intimidate me again? The US government can't AFFORD to publicly acknowledge me... the press would quickly get wind of my history AND the government's closet skeletons regarding me... and Mystech... well... If SHE can avoid them."
Haleigh said, referring to the waitress. Haleigh is less offending... she's more interested in other things as Alsion talks about the Citadle and its presence in the rank of CI.
"Look i built Clandestine Intelligence with my own sweat, blood and tears... and if anything truly is amiss... I can pull the plug on all operations... even from here, with the remote activation of a neat little thing C4.... of COURSE I can't do it alone... that's why i CAME to you in the first place." She was beginning to grumble now, with slight annoyance in her voice. "hell... I should have just picked up my shit and LEFT... I could've started a new CI cell by now... someplace warmer... maybe Miami." She trailed off as Spellbinder appeared.... yes, that's precisely what she needed... both of those lunatic women in the same room together. "You didn't think you could get rid of me THAT easily, did you Rabbit?"

:: After Alexis' rant, she was soon tossed onto the couch like a rag doll. Growling, she didn't appreciate the woman's cold approach to both Cameron and herself after being nearly KILLED because of this little ordeal. Sitting in on the couch, she huffed as she heard everyone speak their mind on the situation at hand. Slowly as everything was going on, her body absorbed the magical energy finally allowing herself to be freed of it's binds. Standing, she smoothed her outfit out and glared at Alison---but the witch did have a point. Her bitching wasn't helping the situation, therefore Alexis kept her mouth shut. Crossing her arms, she listened to Alison explain what was happening....but soon everything came to a screeching halt. Adam was alive? ::
"Wh....wai..."
:: Shock was written all over Alexis' face....this couldn't be. She killed him, she saw him dead. Alexis was in pure denial. ::
"No...no. No. Adam's dead...my father, my father's dead. I killed him over 10 years ago..."
:: Alexis wasn't arguing or calling Alison a liar...she was more trying to convince herself that everything that was just said wasn't true. Looking up, she then saw Adam alive and well in the large scrying glass that appeared in front of Alison. Gasping, her hand cupped over her mouth in utter shock. Tears welled up in Alexis' eyes...this was the first and only time anyone she didn't know saw her guard completely down and her vulnerability come out. ::
".....Oh my god..."
:: Alexis quickly walked passed everyone in the room and to a vacant corner with her back to everyone. No one could actually imagine how much of an emotion blow this was to Alexis...it was extremely hard for her to hear. Staring at the dark corner in front of her, her mind was racing but her face had a blank expression on it. A single tear dropped from the corner of her eye and slid down her cheek. The battle both Adam and herself had 10 years ago flashed into her mind as the horrible sounds echoed throughout her head. Closing her eyes, Alexis used every inch of strength she had in her to prevent herself from breaking down right there and then. All of Shockwave's muscles tensed as she immediatly put her hand on the wall for support. In the verge of fainting, Alexis' head hung as she continued to listen to what was being said in the room. Her back still facing the group of people, she refused to face them at this time. ::

<< Guardian's mild "restraint" served its purpose to calm Alexis down and shut Cameron up....and as the willfull meta human managed to free herself..and listen to the startling words of Alison...she was obviously distressed by what she couldnt believe...but was still true none the less.>>
<< even as Alexis stood up and turned her back to hide her apparent distress Guardian continued on with her dark story..the lights of which only Haleigh could fathom as the others looked on at the glass>>
<< at the end of the disturbing presentation...Spellbinder crashes in via stepping disc...falling to the floor....as she gets up and composes herself...she realizes she isnt alone....Alexis, Cameron, Haleigh...and Eva are ALL present...along with Guardian.>>
<< after the initial interruption....as Haleigh once again stands her ground to Alison...[even though she too was disturbed by what she heard]....it became clear that Haleigh's dependability factor was quite high...and that her stability would be intregal to them making it through this ....even if she now found herself facing uncertainty like never before>>
<< Guardian gestures with her right hand and releases Haleigh from her immobilization...immediately her eyes cease to glow and she no longer provides information ...as she moves away from the group>>
Spellbinder: why hello there...you low rent Rambo....of course i didnt think i could "get rid of you". why would i want to waste the effort when there are so many other's who would gladly do it for me?
Guardian......why did you bring that double dealing shyster, Cameron in here? wouldnt he be better off in an environment more sutiable to him? say...a laboratory test tube?
<< it was obvious her disdain for Haleigh and Cameron was palpable....disaster not withstanding....she neither liked nor trusted either of them...>>
<< the power of the building began to flux....as the building itself seem to groan>>
Guardian: Morgan.......the techno organic virus...they failed to infect Foxfire..but now the virus has been unleashed and has over taken the citadle......it has reached the surface........
Spellbinder: i saw...far below...people were....turning into creatures...still humanoid in shape...but they looked so...bizarre.....and they were attacking each other....it was like a canninbalistic frenzy!!!
<< she stands near one of the picture windows.....looking down far below....seeing the carnage raging in the streets>>
we are safe here....the magick protects us...and we are so highly elevated...there's no way the virus can get us
<< Morgan didnt address the issue of Foxfire...that was PRIVATE to her...and she wouldnt allow any of them to see her emotion...Haleigh saw her ANGER and seething rage at the diner...but that is all she would see.>>
Guardian: I know...that you know Christopher....is alive. and he's partnered with Adam Chandler......Alexis' father....<< Morgan's eyes blinked as she quickly looked over at Guardian.
Spell: WHAT!?
Guardian: that is his partner...they were the ones conducting the tests on Foxfire..but Haleigh briefed you on that already.....
<< Spell could hardly hold it against Alexis....they BOTH now had this terrible common ground between them......still...she couldnt help but think of Adam as an "enabler"...some how MAGNIFYING what had happened to her sister>>
<< Guardian gestures toward Eva> you remember Eva.. the young woman from Shooters? well..she's a mutant....in fact we have two of them in the rom now...one meta human...and one borderline. Eva....was the only mutant to escape MysTech..ALIVE and in tact. they have been on her trail ever since...that is why you were ambushed at the diner. you and haleigh were incidentals..they didnt count on any one else with power being there. But now we have her.......and between yourself, eva and alexis...it will not be long...before another wave attacks from MysTech will arrive.
<< Spell nodded>>
Spellbinder: <<sigh>> its like i slipped back in time...and am with VALIANT again.......<< she grits her teeth>>
Guardian: spell....Black is alive.......and he's been reactivated.
<< thunder crashed...and lighting shattered the sky once more...as the winds began to howl constantly and more firecley as Morgan's facial expression changed>>
Spellbinder: << softly>> no...... it cant be. I killed him.
Guardian: my sight confirms what Haleigh's information says. He IS alive.....and he has regained awareness....he's still within the Citadle...but i dont have to tell you what he wants......
<< spellbinder breathed deeply and exhaled slowly.....the penthouse was dimly lit...and now silent for the moment........as there was so much for everyone to take in.....even as all hell broke loose down below>>

:: Continuing to face the wall, Alexis was beyond devastated about the situation that was unraveling. But soon, she heard thunder rumbling and shortly after, Spellbinder's voice. Turning her head slightly to the side, her profile could be seen...but nothing else. The shadows hid her body language of distress and utter horror.... ::
:: Listening to the conversion, once Alison mentioned Adam being alive again, it just sent pins and needles throughout her body. Shutting her eyes tightly, she couldn't take much more of this...her temper began to flare. Stepping out of the shadows, she stormed towards what looked like a bedroom from afar. Whatever it was, it was a room away from the discussion of her father. Passing the wet-bar, she violently threw her arms across it, sending all the glass and bottles flying to the ground. The loud crash made everyone stop...but Alexis kept walking and entered the bedroom slamming the door shut. ::
:: Picking up some picture frames and bottles of perfume that were sitting nicely on the dresser, she threw them against the wall with great force. Alexis slumped down to the floor and broke down crying. Ten years of finally putting her life back together after the lies and deceit Adam washed upon her as a child and young adult...Alexis couldn't take it. As much as she hated her father....loathed his very existence...he WAS the only family she ever had. When he was "killed", it was more a bittersweet victory than anything. ::
:: Hanging her head, Alexis continued to cry. Her feelings were so erratic about the situation, it was hard to know why Alexis was crying at all. The hate for her father, the thought of him being alive, the thought of him not contacting her after 10 years....him bringing pain to innocent people once again---the bastard was too much to handle. Lifting her head, she glanced across the room through foggy, tear glazed eyes, and saw a small table with a couple of glasses and what looked like a square crystal bottle of Brandy. What the hell were these people just tempting her to drink her six months of sobriety away?! ::
:: Alexis was certainly not the messed up alcoholic that crawled into her first AA meeting those many years ago, but after a day like today....the moment that just happened, Alexis couldn't stand it. Oh, how she wanted to drink that Brandy so badly...she could taste it. She wanted the pain to stop. The pain of everything that was happening to just go away. Turning her head away, tears continued to stream down her face as she shook her head lightly. This wasn't how she imagined her day to play out. This was the last thing on a long list of shitty events that she thought would happen. ::

« Cameron scoffed at Alison's comment. A homeless orphan? It was better than being a power tripping egotistical femn nazi bitch. He knew that Alison would get the message. He winked at her as he turned to Haleigh and laughed. »
"Haleigh, that's not what I meant.. I would never insult someone so much as to say they were employed by that psycho..."
« Finally something interesting was happening as he began to watch Guardian discuss what was on the Scrying Glass. He saw the things that were happening to people, what was going on under their very noses that nobody even knew about. This was a very eye opening experience for Cameron. He saw the look of pain and suffering on the faces of innocent people. As images of Foxfire flooded the Glass, Prophet instantly felt something inside of his stomach for her. It was the pain of some kind of bond that had been broken or severed for the time being. A sisterly bond, but he couldn't tell who it was coming from. Somebody here was Foxfire's sister. Little did Cameron know but he was picking up on the pain of Foxfire calling out to Morgan even before she teleported into the penthouse. The distress signal was that loud. Cameron decided that he would keep this to himself, to avoid another bitching session with Alislut, and besides, as long as he calmed down, the spell would be relieved. He scoffed at hearing that he was useless against the Sentinels. »
"Man I feel like Michelle Rodriguez in Resident Evil right now..."
« Without any further notice, Spellbinder appeared within the Penthouse. At that moment, Cameron put any of his suspicions to rest. She was in fact a witch. Vivica had been right. Morgan Victoria was Spellbinder. The only thing he could do was roll his eyes at Morgan and her annoying comment. He was going to help her ass. Way to show gratitude. »
"Oh Morgan.. Go have another one of your night terrors.. Ah!! It seems so real! The pain! Ah! and stop pestering people who are going to help you..."
« At the mention of Black, for some reason chills ran up Prophet's spine. He could literally feel the hatred from Morgan permeating through the room. He had done something horrible to her. It then got really quiet all of a sudden, seemingly a foreshadow for might what happen in future events. He looked around. Maybe he needed to go a little easier on all these people. They were doing exactly the same thing that he was. Fighting for his life. »

*Eva turned her head and watched the two new people go at it bitchingly to try and figure out what was going on. She knew why they were after her, but not the rest of these people, so she just kept quiet. She learned to stop trusting people a long time ago, too much information at the moment might be too much for them to know about her. She tried too hard to keep her life balanced and MysTech free so far, she wasn't about to let it run down the drain, be it by demons or mutants. She watched the two get thrown across the room into her couch by the strongest one there, a woman dressed in a catsuit, lowering her head a little as she mentioned the fact Eva had been rescued from these things, hoping she wouldn't have to go too into it. She shook it off and leaned back into the couch on the armrest, looking at Haleigh approach the older woman and continue on with a rant. As she spoke about the Citadle, memories from her past flooded through her brain, leaving her looking gone and distant for a few minutes as she remembered the faces of Christopher and Adam, the all too familiar feel of her procedural chair, the beepings of the machines, the smell of the chemical air...no, she wasn't going to go back to that, not now, not ever, they needed to be stopped. The hypnotically alluring swirls in her eyes began to crackle and shine a light icy blue, a light wind picking up in the room before Eva snapped back to attention, blinking her eyes some as she looked around, wondering if anyone had noticed. She ignored it and continued to watch everyone bickering about, seeing as she was the only one "unfrozen" up to this point...before this was done she'd have all their secrets well found out.*
"So how do we all fit in...purpose wise?"
*She paused and listened to Alison continue to speak, watching her intently as she tilted her head to the side taking in the information. She didn't have to look at the view of the Citadle being displayed, she could remember it quit well after the five years. She did however look over at the scrying glass, seeing the pictures of her two captors, staring at them as if her gaze could burn a hole through them, deep down hoping it could. Her eyes followed the new woman off the couch and into the cornor, naturally assuming she was having a similar event with the knowledge of her now alive father. Eva grit her teeth, letting the glass change in her view as she looked upon random citizens being overcome with this new TO virus...thankful she wasn't around to experience that test. Their screams and bloody bodies didn't affect her much at all, she was used to carnage and other more random and defiling results from laboratory tests from MysTech. The images changed again, this time showing herself. A little shocked, she glanced back over to Alison as she spoke, not breaking her gaze and not caring if anyone stared at her. Thunder cracked as the tall woman popped into the room, tired yet still bitchy. Her suspicions were correct, some people were going to get bloody before they were all done helping each other, there was no doubt about it. As Alison retold all she had spilled previously to Spellbinder, Eva turned her head and nodded at the tall woman, taking another moment to get all the facts straight as she played with them in her head. This mention of "Black" piqued her interest as she wondered what the two women were talking about, and helping free Foxfire from the Citadle was an obvious must whilst reeking havoc to destroy the place.*
"I can get you in, around the place; it's secret rooms, hidden doors, whatever."
*Eva eyed the two women, before taking a quick glance over at Haleigh who'd been rather amazingly quiet for some time. She needed to make herself useful to this group of people besides just attracting sentinels like flies to a burning white light. She'd spent five whole years in the establishment, she certainly knew her way around the building...how to get past the spreading virus would be the next problem. All went quiet in the room as Alexis stormed off, throwing objects and sending them crashing to the floor as she disappeared into a room. She was too emotionally disturbed to do anything right now, but the virus was spreading and they needed to do something about it quickly to keep it atleast contained within NYC. Eva slipped off the armrest and walked across the room towards the door putting on hand on the knob while she lightly tapped with a knuckle on her other hand. She opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her as she leaned back against the door, keeping herself in dodging range in case the woman decided to test her flexibility. She stared at the ground the entire time, her peripheral vision keeping Alexis and her hands still in view as she thought about things. She looked up at Alexis for a moment with a brief half smile, not knowing how the woman would take it but hoping she could get through to her somehow.*
"You've made it this far thinking he was dead, just the mental thought of him being gone and out of your life was enough. Well he still is, what says that just because he's alive doesn't mean you can't carry on as you were? Parents may seem like the world, but there's so much more out there within friendships thats a lot closer than family will ever come."

:: Alexis' head turned towards the door as she heard a soft tap. Just as the door opened, she turned her head away not allowing whomever was there to see her face. Sniffing softly, she quickly wiped her tear stained face with the back of her hand before glancing quickly at the woman. It was the waitress....the last person she would of assumed would come in. Rolling her eyes, she figured Eva would go on a rant about how Alexis needed to knock it off and get it together because the fate of the world was blah blah blah, but the dark beauty expressed what seemed like kindness to her. Something Alexis wasn't too familiar with. Listening to her words, Alexis' expression was blank as she stared off into nothingness. Eva was right about everything, but it didn't make the pain or anger any easier. After a few moments of silence after Eva spoke, Alexis finally looked up, making eye contact with the woman she didn't know. This was one of the innocents Adam experimented on....one of the many innocent people he carelessly worked on not caring what happened to them. Staring into her eyes for a few moments, she then shifted them downward. ::
"Easier said than done, buttercup....I don't have friends."
:: Pushing herself off the ground, Alexis stood smoothing her chocolate leather pants of it's wrinkles. She of course, putting up her tough exterior, because she hated when people saw her like this. Only Adam and one of her ex-husbands, Jaxx, have actually ever seen Alexis cry. Turning to the mirror, she ran her fingers under the lids of her eyes removing the smudged mascara and eyeliner. Looking at Eva from the mirror for a moment, she glanced back at herself and then turned towards her. ::
"I don't even know...so I don't know why I'm even saying this to you..."
:: Alexis took a breath in. ::
"But it took me a long time to get over...killing Adam...I hated the man, oh how I hated him. Just as you do I'm very certain. But he was the only family I ever had. Who actually loved me for me. Finally getting my life on track after that was hard....and the thought of him alive again is even harder..."
:: Her eyes meeting up with Eva once again. ::
"Look, I know you could care less about my sob story....so.."
:: Saying thanks was always extremely hard for Alexis...but Eva, a woman who didn't even know her, and who's father did these horrible things to her, took time to comfort her, if that's what you wanted to call it. ::
"..thank you."
:: Nodding slightly, she let a small smile form on her normally pouty lips. A smile which is rarely ever seen. With that, Alexis walked to the door of the bedroom and opened it, walking slowly out to the rest of the group. It could very well be seen that Alexis was crying, but she would never admit it to these people. Eva was the only one who actually saw her, and that was how it was going to stay. Walking into the kitchen, Alexis grabbed a wine glass and a bottle of 1964 La Finche Chateau-Rothchild which was sitting on the counter near the refrigerator. Popping the cork open, she pour herself a small amount before placing the bottle down. The liquid's odor was intoxicating as Alexis swirled it around before taking a sip. ::
"Bottom's up daddy"
:: Alexis spoke quietly but with much hate. Looking at the wine for a few moments, she finally downed it, allowing the cool liquid to run into her mouth and down her throat. Six months down the drain...but well worth it. Removing the rim of the glass from her lips, she placed it on the counter top. ::
"May you rot in hell."

<< Spell upper cuts Cameron in the stomach, before shoving him forcibly out of her way as she storms out of the large, spacious observation room overlooking the city. Even PULLING her punch.. with her super strength she winds the man and leaves a painfull bruise on him. This was his first time being surrounded by women of power...women that HE couldnt manipulate....he was clearly out of his element.....it was a long way from the sunny view of california....as this sprawling city was falling into darkness in more ways than one.....and between Spellbinder and Guardian...he wasnt sure which one of them might try to kill him first. In the case of these two women, It was truly the first time his powers and his bravado meant NOTHING to those he had displayed them to>>
<< Spellbinder turned her back....to one of the walls...which featured several liquid crystal displays....on one of them..she observed ALEXIS, trashing one of the rooms in the pent house>>
THAT UNGREATFUL WENCH! Guardian! you brought these uncooth, unkept imbeciles into Illustra...and THIS is how they show gratitude!? we ought to get rid of the LOT of them...they belong down on the ground ...with the REST of the rabble!
<< Spellbinder stormed past Haleigh, shoving her aside as well....as she went toward the hall leading to the room Alexis was....but by then, Alexis was coming up the hall and the two women bumped into each other. Spellbinder quickly snatched Alexis forward...as she gripped her by the wrist....so tightly that it was starting to crack>>
HOW DARE YOU! if you touch ONE MORE THING in here..ill BEAT you within an INCH of your LIFE!
<< Spellbinder's icy violet eyes locked on to the meta human with unrelenting glare...as she rushed into the room and shoved her back away from the shelf where she had already destroyed bottles of alcohol and pictures>>
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? coming into MY property and trashing MY things!!
<< even as she had her fist raised...ready to strike Alexis.....she could see that this woman was TRULY distraught....there was pain, disbelief ...and rage in her eyes......the same feelings SHE had for her own father, Christopher.....and like Alexis...the mere thought of him was enough to unnerve her. After all the damage he had done.....and knowing that he had her sister in his cruel hands>>

::Guardian moved forward...quickly stepping between Morgan and Alexis::
EASY SPELL!! think about what your doing!! if you hurt Alexis....or anyone else here how will we accomplish our goal??
I KNOW your in pain. You dont want to show it but i KNOW that the revelation of your sister's status..your father..and black..its your worst nightmare come true but LOOK at her ::gestures at Alexis:: given the state that she's in now, do you really think beating her or using your magick against her is going to help get us closer to what our ultimate goal is?!
for the sake of EVERYONE here...CALM DOWN!!!
::a few tense moments pass... Guardian gently put her hand on Morgan's raised fist...and lowered it down...and gently backed Morgan away from Alexis...leading her slowly away from the group and over to the window to allow her space to breathe and basically to allow everyone to calm down and think everything through. For the moment, all was silent::
::they were safe for now, well protected...but if they couldnt stop attacking each other from within....then they would NOT prevail against the monsters on the outside and they would surely fall to MysTech::

« Before Cameron could think another venom dipped thought, he found Morgan Victoria standing right in front of him. Her unusually large heels made her somewhat tower over him. The saliva from her rage fired mouth splashed at his face as he felt the sharp pain of a punch in his stomach. Maybe he should just keep his mouth shut for awhile, but then again, that wasn't in his nature. These two women were way over the line in ticking him off. He hated being in this situation. He hated feeling useless, and helpless. He hated not being able to manipulate his way out of a situation. Prophet rubbed his chest, which already hurt from being slashed by one of the Shadow Whips as he sat down on one of the couches. Cameron missed the Sunny Skies of California, and the comfort of his companion Vivica. The whole thing was just so scary and looming, this is the kind of thing that Prophet would have usually gotten a vision to warn him about, but he had got nothing this time. Maybe it wasn't the women who were stronger than him but that his powers had somehow grown weaker. It was something to consider. It wasn't long before Cameron heard yelling in the room next to him. He could only laugh at this point. »
"Well aren't we a Jerry Springer Family Christmas..This penthouse HAS to have something to drink... or are we on restriction, Guardian?"
« He looked for her but she had gotten up to break up the fight between Morgan and Alexis, with Morgan near pummeling the girl. What was Alexis thinking? The girl was a rail and Morgan was powerful looking. Cameron looked over and questioned their situation as everyone seemed to be calming down. »
"Alright.. I'm not trying to push any buttons.. but do we have a plan for this "mission"? As in estimated time of departure and arrival, how we are getting there? I don't know.. I would just feel better with logistics.."

:: Looking towards the living area, in which everyone was grouped at, Alexis heard yelling and threatening, from the obvious source of it all; Spellbinder. Letting out a small sigh, she left the kitchen and made her way down the hall only to see the furious woman ahead. Looking into her eyes, she recognized that look all too well. She was in great pain about everything that was happening. But soon, Alexis' very small pity towards Spellbinder vanished as she was snatched and scolded at. Alexis' face tensed up as she began to grit her teeth. How dare she! How did she expect Alexis to react? Oh Adam's alive...lets go skipping through a daisy filled meadow together. PLEASE. Raising her own hand believing the two woman would soon be beating the hell out of each other, Alison stepped in. Taking a breath in...as Alison slowly touched Morgan's hand and lowered it, Alexis did as well. Her face still showing her utter hate towards Morgan and what she was doing, their eyes met. Behind the ice cold glare, Alexis could see she was feeling the same as her. For once in their life, they could relate to each other. Seeing the two woman turn away and slowly begin to make their way down the hall, Alexis spoke with great hesitation. ::
"....Morgan"
:: Seeing Morgan and Alison stop for a brief second before they proceeded, Alexis continued. ::
"You may hate me.....loath my very existence. But I see it in your eyes. The same pain I feel right now......the hate and utter disgust for our fathers. If anyone from this group understands what you're going through. It's me."
:: With that, Alexis stopped. There wasn't sympathy in her tone, nor threat, or anger. She spoke with little to no emotion at all...but the hint of pain could be heard in her shaky voice. Once Alexis stopped talking, Morgan and Alison continued down the hall and away from the group in the living room. Taking a deep breath in, Alexis took her very tender wrist in her hand. Rubbing it as she winced, that woman was stronger than she could even imagine. Looking to her already bruising wrist, Alexis exhaled and proceeded back into the living room, meeting with the rest of the group. ::
