Mitchell to Direct Warner Bros.' Claus

Mike Mitchell has signed on to direct Fred Claus for Warner Bros (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11683#). Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11683#). Jessie Nelson is producing the comedy (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11683#) and will also receive a "story by" credit.
Fred Claus follows Fred, the jealous older brother of Santa, who must put his bitterness aside when he is forced to move into Santa's home at the North Pole.
Dan Fogelman wrote the screenplay (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11683#) based on Nelson's treatment. Mitchell most recently directed Disney's (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=11683#) Sky High, and has also directed Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo and Surviving Christmas.
