Harrasment/Defamation/Abuse: ZERO TOLERANCE

The staff of Screen Gems prides ourselves on offering a board that caters to ADULTS allowing for free flowing conversation and the celebration of diversity.

With that in mind I would like to take this time to share with you our Zero Tolerance Policy with regards to harrasment, defamation, abuse and similar issues.

The staff of this board WILL NOT tolerate: harrasment, defamation, racism, abuse or any other activity that could cause a person to feel unwelcomed and uncomfortable with posting. This is a place for open communication and a place to enjoy yourselves and we the staff are committed to making sure that EACH member will feel welcomed here.

Every member is entitled to express themself and contribute to topics of discussion regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation or other wise. However, if harrasment or any other such behavior does take place, when the Staff is alerted to it, we will step in to STOP it immediately. Any attempts by members to intimidate, defame, belittle or abuse other members on a continual basis will be permanently banned without any possible reserval.

Our Zero Tolerance Policy is simple and straight forward. We the staff will make sure that ALL members are comfortable here and can post in an evironment free of harrasment/defamation/abuse.

The standard board rules apply here just as at any other message board. Please do not SPAM up our forums, make sure your posts are contributing to the conversation. This board is 18 and up and the censorship option has been turned off, however please do not use any deragatory comments directed at another individual, such things will not be tolerated (as stated in out Zero Tolerance policy) and will result in your being banned from the board.

After posting in a thread has reached 200 replies plese do not post in the thread any longer. Insted open up a continuation thread of the same title (part 2 or something) in the same forum. Our moderators will do this but if it happens and one is not one we will appreciate you doing it for us and helping us out.

Please do NOT PM or email us asking to be a moderator. As they say, "Don't call us, we'll call you." When / If we need more moderators we will look at how active people are and how well they stick to the rules of the boards as well as how much they are posting and the quality of the posts.

We've got a good selection, but lets face it... the world of movies and television is HUGE! I know we're missing a lot of movies and stars from our AV gallery. So if you would like to see a pic of a star, a particular scene from your favorite movie/tv show, or a title screen feel free to request away; the AV request thread is also located in this forum. Please note in an effort to increase AV diversity on the boards we have it fixed where only one member can have an avatar at a time so if there is already something similiar in the galleries we will not fulfill your request. Do NOT PM any member asking for a custom AV. All requests will be added to the gallery and you will be notified when your requested AV is made available. The only way to actually be able to upload your own AV is to subscribe to the "Member Plus" account for $2.00 via your User CP---->Subscriptions.

We hope to be as loose on our signature guidelines as we possibally can in the interest of providing enough room for our members to express themsleves and allowing us optimal use of our bandwidth :)

Your signature may occupy NO more than 15 lines of actual text. In those lines you may take up the whole thing with a banner or several lines of text (check out our BB codes!). We also ask that you have no more than 3 images in your signature (smilies do not count), and only 1 of them is allowed to be an animated banner (small blinkies do not count). Please do not post exceedingly long banners as they can throw off the alignment of the tables. (Basically for you Degrassi-Board people this equals about 1 of your banners and then a couple lines of text.)

Below is a real life example of about how big your signature is allowed to be:

Violations of our signature guidelines will result in:

1.) A warning PM from a staff member asking you to please fix your signature until it is in accordance with our guidelines.

2.) If you have not fixed your sig after being warned, your signature will be suspened for a time (depending on how much of a violation your signature was).

3.) 3rd Strike you're out! Anyone being dumb enough to warrant a 3rd warning will be suspended from the boards for a time.

The yellow block below represents length-wise the maximum your signature may be. You may have it as wise as you wish, as long as it doesn't throw off the width tables:
