Why I love/hate the Oscars!!

I love the Oscars, I have always dreamed of winning one for best film!!!
I love to watch the end of the show, all the antics of Robin Williams :light: and the rest. I like to see them walk the red carpet the wacky outfits like Bjor's swan dress and a horrible song.

To me it's great!!! There is no award show that came come close to it.
The money you make from saying, "Academy Award Winner . . ."
It's the elite.

Now I am mad that there are biasness against small films from the non Hollywood elite, and for black actors and actresses ( All but 4 of the past 70+ academy award shows The Best Actor and Best Actress have been white). Also, it seems the same folks get nominated every year and many good performances get snubbed. I am glad they didn't give an Oscar to Madonna for her role in Evita, she didn't deserve one.

What do you guys love and hate about the oscars?

I love the Oscars. Especially the fashion portion before the actually ceremony. I love to see what the woman are wearing and what not. But to me, they are still very very long. Although i'm a devoted watcher of all award shows, including the Oscars, I think they should be shorter. hehe

I like em... it's always good to see the good films get recognized! I also happen to think its really funny when the people who accept the awards get on stage and try to talk a long time and they cut them off with the music! lol
