<< the first night is always the hardest ..but every step toward recovery is a step further from the epicenter of pain. dawn pierces the sky..and slowly sprays the promise of today across the horizon. the sleepy city of NYC slowly awakens...blissfully unaware of how thankfull it should be for the sacrifices made by the surviving members of The Six, high atop the technological gem that is Illustra. on the highest floors of the building, live the surviving members along with their allies who are visiting. each of them on a different floor beginning this new day in their own way...for it is not easy to shake off grief and mourning.>>

<< Karen stirs in one of the guest bedrooms of her daughter's penthouse...awaking and leaving behind fleeting images of a dream filled with reflection and memory of her life with christopher and her daughter....and blaze. she sits up slowly as she looks out of the large opened french glass doors leading out to the balcony...she can see the morning sky...so high up from the city they are beyond the smog that hangs below and the air is cooler and fresher at this altitude.>>
<< she slowly gets out of bed...very silent and very reflective...the night before...and all those prior seem like remnants of a bad dream but she knows its no dream. as she wraps herself in her robe...Tinkerbell, Morgan's siamese cat and familiar cautiously peeks out from under the bed. peering up at her "grandmother">>
Tinker!! hey baby.....you've been hiding from all the turmoil havent you?
<<tinker mewed a bit as she came from under the bed and to Karen, waiting to be picked up. Karen bent down and scooped up the kitty and craddled>>
yes....well its allright now. everything ...is going to be allright. You're mommy is resting...and HER mommy is going to make sure she get's through this.
<< she carries the cat, who seemes very content in her arms. out of the room and down the hall before turning....she stopped and looked in on Morgan, who was sleeping on her side>>
let's let her rest for a bit while longer while WE get breakfast!!!
<< she pets tinker on her head as she makes her way out into the larger area of the penthouse and toward the kitchen. setting tink down, the cat immediately begins to mew and cry for its breakfast. Karen smiles warmly as she points and with a soft chime...a bowl of tink's favorite food and a bowl of milk and a bowl of water appear. Tinkerbell happy eats while Karen looks around the kitchen and out to the rest of the penthouse. Clean up would be a lengthy task for most...but Karen was no ordinary woman. Being a witch has its benefits and now as the perfect time to take advantage.>>
<< spinning around...with a sweeping motion of her hands...and the sound of a harp, Karen immediately spruces up the penthouse, wiping away all traces of last nights trauma...and immediately brightening the place up. its all neat , clean and organized...and a beautiful spread of breakfast and refreshment now sits on the table in the dining area of the penthouse...with seating for 6. soft classical music plays in the air...as the soft scent of vanilla merges with the delicious smells of the food>>

:: Awaking slowly from her slumber, she lifted her head up from her desk, looking around rather unaware of how she got there. Squinting her eyes...she looked towards the clock seeing it was around 6:20 in the morning. Grunting, Alexis sat back in her seat closing her eyes. Even though she had basically slept the entire night, it felt like she had only slept 2 hours. With a sigh, she pushed forward on the desk, rolling her chair backwards. Standing, the meta human made her way around her desk and headed down the hall, stretching as she walked. Even though she didn't need to be at work until around 8...she was motivated to get there early and finish up some work she had left untouched for a few days. It was mainly her defense mechanism...she wanted to work work work and get her mind off of Blaze and Haleigh. Heading to her closet, she went inside, scanning through her work suites until finally she found the right outfit (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/images/prodlgvw/V247431.jpg). Subconsciously NOT realizing it, but her outfit just seemed to fit the dismal mood she was in right now.....Stepping out of her closet, now fully dressed, she headed into the bathroom to finish with her morning ritual before proceeding to go and grab a bite to eat then head to the office. ::

:: Cameron is in his home office on the Phone with Vivica Lennox, Vice President of King Enterprises filling her in on the events that occured as she is filling him in on pressing business matters that have been somewhat neglected over the course of his Mother and the Inferno ::
"I know we Promised the Tokyo Parthenon Morgan Victoria and Cameron King but they are just going to have to do without us at this event. You go in my place and make sure the place is packed with Celebrities. Use the Contact List that Alison gave you from Illustra. And be exclusive. I don't want to hear that Anna Nicole Smith was running around there. We want high class. And about the Genox Stock, I have seen the fluctuating rises and drops and I am going to sell out before it plummets. I want to put 25,000 shares into Philtech, I just KNOW they are going to skyrocket for some reason..."
:: He was in his business attire which was a full business suit that was designed for him by an up and coming influential designer in New York. Alexis and Cameron went to one of his shows and Cameron absolutely loved the suit up on the runway and bought it with cash that night. As he took the earpiece out he began to feverishly work on the outgoing memo to the Latin American Branch to figure out how construction of the New Parthenon in Brazil was going on ::
"Attencion Mis Trabajadores, es mucho importante que la construcion en el centro de bailando es finito en tres semanas. Los oficiales de Nuevo York leguaron para inspectar..."
:: Cameron typed away at his computer. It felt good to get back to business as usual. As he finished completing his plans to have the Dance Club construction wrapped in three weeks. He looked at the clock. It was 7:30 in the Morning. He took a sip from his coffee as he now began to surf the internet doing miniscule things such as checking his e-mail ::

<< now that the penthouse was restored to a more cheefull, and clean appearence and a fresh spread of breakfast was prepared....Karen snapped her fingers and was INSTANTLY refreshed in body and appearnce. now wearing a simple white polo top and a khaki short skirt with sandals, Karen looked well rested and refreshed...breathing deeply...as she tried to think AHEAD to positive things. she knew she would have to help her daugher more than anyone else and she was going to give her all for it.>>
there, tinkerbell is fed, the place is cleaned up, and breakfast is ready. But before i go to see about Morgan, ill summon the others.
<< snapping her fingers...a phone appears in her hand. There were phones in the house, but Karen enjoyed using her magick to her every advantage..and after all they'd been through...she felt she deserved to indulge herself>>
<< she called each person on the floors they were on...leaving a message for them to arrive for breakfast by 8:30 am....after that...she went to see about Morgan>>

<< Morgan too began to stir...the smell of breakfast and vanilla appealled to her sense...as she slowly opened her eyes...they had needed the rest from all the crying she'd done. having woken up more than once during the night...seeing the day light was somewhat comforting. as her vision focused...she saw her Mother sitting by her side...smiling at her>>
<< groaning a bit>>.....mom??
<< slowly sitting up, making sure to keep her bosom covered with her satin sheet, Morgan's icy violet eyes sparkled once more like the daughter Karen remembered.>>
oh mom!!!

:: Walking out of her bedroom and heading toward the kitchen to grab breakfast, she heard a beeping on her house phone, and made a detour to her livingroom. Picking up the phone she dialed 2112 to get her messages and soon heard Karen on the line. She wanted them to breakfast....oh this should be eventful. With a sigh, Alexis deleted the message and placed the phone back on it's charger. Honestly...she wasn't in the mood to eat. She wasn't really in the mood to socialize either. She just wanted to work. I suppose it was from lack of releasing her emotions from the night before, but Alexis was very stressed and very warey of the idea of having breakfast with others. Either way, Karen was a kind woman who requested her presents...therefore she would suck it up and go. ::
:: Grabing her black leather purse and brief case, she headed out her penthouse doors and down the hall to the elevator. Clicking the "up" button, the elevator immediatley arrived, doors opening for the blonde to enter. Stepping inside, she pressed the "MV" button before stepping back. It only took a few moments before she arrived on Morgan's penthouse level...the elevators in Illustra were amazingly fast. With hesitation...Alexis knocked on the penthouse door's gently. Stepping back, she awaited for an answer. ::

< Erika was sitting in Cameron's exercise Room on a Green Mat deep in Meditation, sitting almost indian style as she began to slowly hover over the ground. Sounds of the Ocean was playing in the CD Player and Erika was becoming completely calm and collective. Gathering and Channeling Energy for the day. Slowly she reached the ground once more as she stood up and turned the CD Player Off, taking her hair out of the ponytail and letting her new raven locks shine in the light. It was a simple glamoury but she liked the new length and color and planned to keep it for awhile. She picked up her towel and bottle of water as she stepped into the kitchen, noticing the House Phone had a message. She pressed play. Hey it may not be her house but she was Cameron's older sister, which entitled her to snoop around. It was from Karen. Inviting them all to breakfast at 8:30. She looked at the Wall Clock which now read 7:45. There was no way she would be able to be ready in time. She looked down at her sweat dripped and soiled body as she quickly snapped her fingers, changing into something much more suited for socializing. (http://www.kelly-monaco.net/gallery/albums/pc/promos/10.jpg) >
"That's much better..."
< Ever since her time in Ororo's Garden, Erika had found herself using her magick much more openly and freely. Personal Gain was perhaps the easiest part to get away from since it was ALWAYS much easier to snap and get what you want than to think of all the consequences. She headed into the office and looked at her brother as she winked at him. >
"Looking sharp, Little Bro.. Anyway.. we have a breakfast date.. With Karen Victoria at 8:30... by the time you finish checking your hair in the mirror it will be time to go so let's just 86 it and go!"
< Her brother gave her a less than pleased look but followed her into the elevator, where they were soon at the Top Floor of Illustra, as both noticed Alexis and Alexis definitely noticed Erika's refreshed new appearance. >
"Hello, Alexis.. I hope you're feeling better.."

<< Karen embraced her daughter and held her...slowly rocking her>>
yes baby..Mommy is here.
<< the breeze flowed through the room as the wind chimes played their morning melody.....Morgan and Karen were now facing a new day together>>
and dont you worry, i will help you get through this....one step at a time.
<< the hugged a bit longer...Morgan shuddered a bit...still sick in her heart over the reality of her sister's death...but the intial wave of anguish had faded with the passing of the night>>
it's allright Morgan......
<< Karen strocked Morgan's hair...as she calmed her daughter...and soon let go of the embrace as she held Morgan's hand>>
go to your master bathroom and refresh yourself. I have cleaned up the pent house, fed tinker and have prepared breakfast for you and your friends.
go on now....
<< she gently ushered Morgan, who seemed detatched, into her master shower chamber and pulled the door slightly closed. Karen then turned around and waved her hand...thrusting it outward..and with the sound of a harp and flash of light....the chamber of dreams was immediately cleaned up, refreshed and brighter...Morgan would not have to worry about changing her linen or anything else in her chamber of dreams now>>
<< Karen left the chamber to allow Morgan private time as she would soon be lavishing her body with her moisturizers and such...and putting on an outfit of her choice. She would not do EVERYTHING for Morgan..just make day to day recovery a little easier with support.>>
<<talking softly aloud as she moved through the pent house looking at the decor her daughter furnished the place with and seeing the many wonderfull pictures of her daughter with her celebrity friends and those from the six....>>
the others will be arriving in a bit. Morgan will be ready. I do hope that Alison is feeling a bit better today as well. Ororo will be along shortly.
<< she stopped on a picture that was centrally posted on a wall with others surrounding it. it featured Morgan and Alison with Blaze between them. Morgan and Alison were smiling so brightly and Blaze was sticking her tongue out ...the women were all dressed to impress and were probably at Blaze's club....it was such a youthfull, bright picture....appealing to look at..but at the same time..it was ...another reminder of what was lost>>
<< karen put her hand to her mouth as she studied it...her sapphire blue eyes getting a bit misty as she finally made herself turn away. she shook her head and exhaled>>
dont do this to yourself Karen....keep it together!
<< the doorbell rang....and Karen turned...>>
timely arrivals!
<< making her away across the living room and to the walk way leading to the vestibule and double doors, with a snap of the fingers, the doors open>>
<< her voice was light..but the icy tone that Morgan had was apparent as well>>:
good morning ladies and gentleman...please come in and be seated in the the sitting room.

:: Hearing Erika's voice, she turned towards the arriving couple noticing the conciderable change with Erika. Well it must of been a night for the King clan. They both looked very refreshed and at peace...something she hasn't seen from the both of them in a while.::
"I'm fine. Thank you."
:: Tucking her purse under armpit, she held it there as she turned back to face the door that had just opened. Softly smiling at Karen, she stepped into the penthouse and to the side, allowing Erika and Cameron to enter. Taking her purse, once again, into her hand, she placed her brief case down next to the door. ::
"I hope you don't mind..."
:: Resting her purse ontop of her brief case before turning to Karen. She of course, was refering to the fact she brought her brief case along with her. ::
"I have to head to the office after breakfast."
:: Stepping forward, she glanced around the restored penthouse--it seemed to homey and elegant. Not anything like the way it looked lastnight. ::
"It smells wonderful in here..."

:: Alison had her hair pulled back in a glossy pony tail. wearing one shoulder strap white top with low rise figure flattering, slightly flared jeans and black high heeled boots. it was a surprisingly relaxed yet still glamorous look for the seer. she had a placid experssion on her face as she BLINKED into the sitting area...seating herself across from Erika and Alexis and crossing her legs at the knee. even dressed more casually, she still had a stern look about her..but her feminine, and obviously trim and fit frame shown through her clothes in all the right ways.::
:: she seemed like she might be a bit weary..although she looked well rested..her presentation was muted::
Alexis. Erika. Cameron.
:: her voice was once again cold and almost mechanic. no one could have ever guessed what she had went through last night. but that was alison's way...hard and cold as marble. she looked out of the floor to ceiling windows...resting her head on her hand a bit as her elbow was placed against the portion of the leather sectional she sat on. she sighed softly::

:: Cameron followed the rest of the women into the Living Room as they were all seated. As Alexis made note that she had to go to work after Breakfast, Prophet was wondering why he didn't think of something along those lines himself. Obviously, eating breakfast of the Mother whose daughter went crazy and killed her own sister because of something he did, didn't sit well with him. He shook his head and tried to shake the thoughts. He turned to Alexis. ::
"I assume you are worried about the Gala? I am too. I had to cancel an appearance in Tokyo because of what happened... I need a break but I also have an Empire to run. Are you going to go? I think it might be good for us all to get some time off from being the Saviours of the World..."
:: He laughs as he pats her on the shoulder and winks at her. It was nice to have these lighthearted and simple interactions with one another. It kept their minds off other things. He turned to see Alison enter the room seeming to be her old self again. He gave her a silent glance and a half smile ::

:: Walking toward the sitting area, she noticed Guardian appear in a blink of an eye. Looking at her, Alexis rounded the couch, and took a seat infront of her. Crossing her legs at the knee, she sat back nodding to Alison. ::
"Alison.."
:: Alison and Alexis were never friends to begin with--infact even before she found out she was in The Six, they dispised one another...but after the recent events, there was no need for Alexis to be snotty or catty towards the woman. ::
"You look well."
:: Raising a brow, she flicked her head to the side, tossing a few blonde locks away from her face. Even though she was being kind, there was still a hint of distance with Alexis, toward Alison. Looking away from the Seer, she peered over at the dining room table which was set up beautifully. They just had to wait on Morgan.. ::
:: Hearing Cameron's voice, she turned her attention to him, listening to him speak of the Gala. Nodding, she cleared her throat before speaking. ::
"Yes, everything is in preperation for tonight. I am making last minute changes once I head into the office. I'll contact Vivica to make sure she gets ahold of The Parthenon to let them know of the changes. But as of right now, everything is right on schedual."

Ororo: everyone looks well rested and refreshed, and i see some of you have begun tending to your personal affairs.
:: embracing Karen before sitting down next to Alison and touching her on the shoulder gently::

::Ororo knew that some among the group were possesed of poor social skills. Namely Alexis...who this entire time had been gawking at Alison with a curious, yet predatory glare....would she EVER grow up and learn how to regard these people, who helped HER to survive just as she had helped them? :: Seeing Morgan arrive in the livingroom, Alexis stood from the sofa noting her obvious change in moods from lastnight. Eventhough she seemed to be the same buisness savvy bitch that Morgan was known for, there wasn't that initial fire that seemed to glow bright within her eyes. No doubt, she was still hurting---what sane person wouldn't be? It was nice, however, that the group could get togther for a nice meal and be atleast civil to one another, especially now. Walking to her respected seat, Alexis pulled the chair out and sat down. Crossing her legs, she scooted forward a bit before looking over all the food that was neatly placed on the table. Hearing Alison's comment on how wonderful everything looked, the blonde nodded. ::
"Yes, everything looks delicious."
:: Watching as others began to take food, Alexis took it upon herself to grab the large wooden spoon that was placed aside of the assorted fruit bowl, and dig right in. Putting a nice heeping scoop full onto her plate, she the placed the spoon back, before grabbing herself two pieces of whole grain toast. Finally topping the meal off with a nice hot cup of vanilla coffee, Alexis sat back, looking up at the others, before digging in. She figure she would take it upon herself to start up the conversaion... ::
"Morgan, will you and Alison be making an appearence at the Gala tonight?"
:: A simple question, asked only with the best intentions. Not a hint of sarcasim or hate radiated off her voice. It was the first time she had spoken to the woman in such away in a very long while. Picking up her respected fork, she gently pressed down onto a strawberry which was on her dish, picking it. Moving the fork up to her mouth, she took a small bite from the red fruit, looking to Morgan for her responds. ::

:: Finishing off his toast, he took a drink of a glass of orange juice. The breakfast was indeed good but there was no way he was touching the coffee. Vanilla brewed coffee? No, he just couldn't do it. He would go down to Starbucks later and get a Venti Toffee Nut Soy White Latte topped with Cinnamon Powder and Caramel Sauce. Now that was a drink! He looked around at everyone and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves, though talking incessantly about their businesses to avoid any conversation about the Inferno ::

<< sitting pretty in her edgy, yet stylish business attire, Morgan shifts a bit...as she finished her fruit bowl. drinking a chilled bottle of aquafina, she remains quiet for much of the remainder of that converation. Looking upon her mother, Ororo, Alison...Erika...and finally Cameron.>>
<< a tightened look of disgust comes across her face as she cant help but remember the other night..when she first found out what happened...and how Cameron had basically prayed for something like what just happened to take place...only he had hoped it was SHE who would have died so that ALISON could feel pain.....and Blaze. But now, BLAZE was dead. She knew it was her fault that Blaze was dead...but she also knew Cameron had WANTED her to lose control...maybe to proove some perverse point. She wasnt aware that he and Alison had made something of an ammend between them last night...nor would she care. She had her OWN words that she HAD to say to Cameron.>>
<< she began to look over her maincured nails...as she balled her hand into a fist under the table>>
<<thinking>>:I may not ever recover from this...i may not ever be able to forgive myself for what happened to Blaze...but YOU, Cameron King, are going to know just what i think of you before you leave here TODAY
<< oh yes, Morgan would make him a captive audience at the right moment. some might think it was cause for alarm..or that she might be having a relapse but she knew what she wanted...NEEDED to do...if for no other reason than to be able to deal with him for tonight, before she threw him OUT of illustra and severed all business and personal ties with him. She decided that the best way for her to try to recover from Blaze, was to remove the source of HER initial anger and frustration that began it all. She knew Ororo and her mother and eveil ALISON might object and have some very valid reasons why she shouldnt do this...but she was dangerously close to the edge....and she needed to do SOMETHING to take back the "control" that she lost...the control over her own sense of normalcy>>

:: Lifting the cuff sleeve to her jacket revealing a stylish silver Gucci watch, Alexis realized that she was actually late for work. Funny how she has been up for three hours wanting to get to work early, and now she was late. Shaking her head, she looked up at the others at the table before scooting her chair back, allowing herself room to get up. ::
"I'm sorry to cut this short, Karen, but i'm actually late for work. The breakfast was delicious, thank you for inviting me."
:: Standing from the diningroom table, Alexis circled behind the chair and pushed it back under the table before leaving. Looking to Karen, she smiled softly to the woman. ::
"Thank you again."
:: Now looking back at the others, she nodded to them. ::
"I'll see you all tonight."
:: And with that, Alexis proceeded to leave the diningroom and make her way through Morgan's livingroom to the door. Picking up her purse, she unzipped it, taking out her cell phone. Flipping it open as she tucked the purse under her armpit, pressing a few numbers before putting the phone to her ear. Now picking up her brief case, she was ready to go. ::
"Marco, I need my car pulled around now."
:: Resting the phone on her shoulder as she opened the penthouse door, and turned to the others, once again, gave a quick wave before leaving Morgan's apartment. Picking the phone up with her hand again, she walked down the hall to the eleveator, pressing th Lobby button. ::
"I don't care which one. Just pick a car and bring it around front. I'll be downstairs in two minutes."
:: Rolling her blue eyes, Alexis flipped the phone shut as the elevator doors had just opened. Stepping inside, she pressed the lobby button once again. After a couple minute ride, the blonde arrived in the lobby of Illustra, immediatley heading to the large glass double doors which leaded outside. As she approached the doors, Thomas, the door man, opened them graciously for her, allowing her to go straight to her car and hop in. Marco always did love her black Mazda 8, it wasn't a surprise he had picked this car for her. ::
"Thank you Marco."
:: Shutting the car door, Alexis proceeded to place her brief case and purse in the passanger seat, before driving off to Tempo Co. Office. ::

<< standing up as well, Karen smiled at the young woman>>
you're very welcome Alexis. I'm glad you were able to make it. I think this was a very nice change of pace for all of you. Now your days will go that much better.
see you tonight.
<< watching as Alexis said her goodbyes and went on her way...eventually out of the double doors of Morgan's penthouse, Karen looked around at the others>>
well, looks like everyone has enjoyed themselves. I'll just clear these dishes away.
<< waving her hand around in a circular motion before bringing it forward, with a seeping wind and harp sound....the long rectangular pewter dining table is instantly cleared in a flash of white light ...and left with the elegant runner and a beautiful spray of fresh flowers for a center piece. Karen used her powers with an elegant, lofty presentation....much like her daughter but it seemed to be a natural thing rather rehersed.>>
I'm glad everyone could make it today, this was important for you all...to help along in the recovery process. things wont be easy...there will be pitfalls...but if you can just learn to take things slowly and try your best..and be HONEST with each other....then youll make it farther than you might think.

:: Finally arriving at Tempo, Alexis put her car in park out in front of the entrance of the large building. Grabbing her brief case and purse, she opened her car door and stepped out. Immediately the valet nodded respectfully to Alexis before hoping into her car and driving it off to the parking garage. Walking up to the large doors, before she could push them, the doorman opened them for her. ::
Doorman: "Miss Quartermaine."
:: Giving him a soft smile, she made her way into the lobby of the busy establishment, heading straight for the row of elevators. She didn't even have to wait for an elevator, which was a nice change, as someone had just arrived downstairs. Stepping into it, she turned and pushed the 54th floor, before leaning back against the railing which lined around the small compartment. Taking a deep breath in, the meta human tilted her head from side to side, cracking her very tense neck and stretching her muscles. The last thing she needed was a tension headache to top off her day. ::
:: Soon the elevator arrived on her floor. A soft ding could be heard as the doors opened, revealing the CEO of Tempo Magazine. Walking forward, any reminance of the past few days had left Alexis, only leaving the bitch boss her co workers knew her as. Tracy, her assistant, quickly scooped up papers and began to follow behind her as Lex headed to her office. ::
Tracy: "Good morning, Miss Quartermaine. I already made the list of people you have to call to make those last minute changes you spoke about for the Gala tonight. Also, Adrian Lockhart requested a meeting with you---he will be arrive here at 12pm."
:: Stepping into her office, she placed her brief case on top of her desk, followed by her purse. Turning to Tracy, she unbuttoned her jacket revealing a very stylish black satin shirt with lace trim which hugged against her body. ::
"Alright. I'm pretty sure as to why Mr. Lockhart requested a meeting with me..."
:: With a sigh ::
"Just show him in when he arrives."
:: Turning away from Tracy, she rounded her desk and pulled her large leather chair out. Sitting down, she turned it to face her desk. ::
"Close the door on the way out. I have some phone calls to make."
:: Tracy nodded and left Alexis' office, closing the door behind her. Getting right on top of things, Alexis began to make those calls regarding the Gala this evening...as the hours began to pass, 12 o’clock quickly began to approach. ::
A sleek, black limousine pulled up to the entrance of the Tempo Magazine agency. Moments later, a beautiful woman in a professional black miniskirt and blouse stepped out from the driver’s seat and calmly walked to the passenger side, opening the door for famed Adrian Lockhart. He stepped out and gazed momentarily at the sun. Adrian’s black sunglasses glinted in the light. The tan cargo pants and white tank top he wore highlighted the rich color of his skin handsomely.
Adrian nodded to Catherine who, even after having been his loyal limousine driver for 5 years, blushed at the attention, her mind slightly disoriented with the pheromones that seeped from Adrian’s pores. Adrian dismissed her with the wave of his hand and turned to the building. Seconds later he was in.
I’ve got a plan to make it rich – and famous.
Lucky for me, for you it’s a bitch – you ain’t in.
My plans are slowly changing,
Fame is so contagious
A plump woman in her 40’s was seated at the reception desk. Adrian observed her. A conservative grey suit. Horn-rimmed glasses. Bad haircut. She probably had a negligent husband and brats for children and she hated the world for it. Adrian walked to the desk and saw she was reading a book. The cover was down. Erotica, no doubt.
“Excuse me,” he murmured.
I’m willing to sleep my way to the top,
I want to be pop—ular.
I don’t want to keep my feet on the ground,
I want to be pop—ular
The secretary, who went by the name of Mrs. Dolores Johnson, looked annoyed as she put the book on the table (careful to hide its contents). Her tiny eyes, framed so hideously, slowly traveled up the figure of the man in front of her. Narrow waist, hard abs – the kind you could lick whipped cream off of. Beautiful pectorals. She could almost see the faint outline of half-dollar sized nipples. Biceps..God..lovely to wrap your hands around. And the skin.. so soft and tanned. She wanted to reach out and stroke it. Stroke him. But oh, his face. The true work of art. As she finally found it, she registered the trademark features. It dawned on her.
Adrian smiled.
Dolores gasped.
I must confess,
I’ve been a ve--ry bad boy,
Been sleepin’ around,
Talk of the town,
My name is.
Hollywood will beckon,
Everyone will listen…
“Mrs. Johnson,” he began as his eyes glanced to her nametag, his voice low and comforting, “I am here for an appointment.” The sunglasses slid slightly down his nose, offering her a tantalizing glimpse of his smoldering gaze. She knew, she knew, she had to say something. Standard procedure. Sign in and sit in the lobby until she called for him. Yes, she should say that…she should…
“I…” Adrian interrupted her thoughts, reaching over. Dolores smelled him -- that intoxicating scent, dark chocolate and mint and freshness. She wanted to caress his hand and suck on…
“…Need to borrow your pen,” the celebrity superstar finished, deftly grabbing the pen near her hand. She could have sworn they had touched, if only for a brief second. Hell, that one touch had more sexual energy behind it than all of the times she’d made love with Herbert. Yet this fine specimen..no..Herbert didn’t compare..no way..
“I’m just going to…sign in here,” Adrian continued, his hand now moving over the sheet on top of the counter as he wrote his signature, “And bid you a nice day.”
Dolores tried to concentrate. Tried to speak. Tried to tell him..sign in, lobby, sit, wait…
But Adrian Lockhart didn’t wait for anyone.
“Goodbye,” he said, putting the pen down, offering her one last, dazzling smile. Adrian walked away, heading for the elevator, leaving poor Dolores at her desk, fat mouth slightly agog, sweating and wondering if she had just had a dream. She reached down…
…Ohmygod.
As the elevator closed, prepared to take Adrian to the 54th floor, he grinned knowingly.
I’m willing to sleep my way to the top,
I want to be pop---ular,
I don’t want to keep my feet on the ground,
I want to be pop---ular….

:: Tracy came rushing to Alexis' office, knocking rapidly on her door. It was around 11:30 and Adrian was early...of course, expecting everyone to drop everything and serve him like he was royalty. EHHHH, wrong. Alexis glared at her door with a look of "What the fuck?"....She was on the phone and Tracy was having a damn aneurysm outside of office door--it better be good. ::
"I'm sorry, could you hold on a second."
:: Lowering the phone away from her ear, she placed her palm over the receiver to stop any noise from being heard. ::
"What?!"
:: Quick and to the point, she didn't hid the fact she was pissed off with her tone of voice. Tracy quickly opened the door, poking her head in...::
"I'm so sorry Miss Quartermaine, but Adrian is here and on his way up. He would not wait."
:: Huffing, why do celebrities believe they are at the top of the food chain? He was in HER territory, and he had another thing coming to him if he thought she was going to bend backwards for him. ::
"Fine. Show the arrogant ass in when he arrives."
:: Tracy quickly left, which was a smart choice on her part. Grunting, Alexis placed the phone back up to her ear; her voice becoming very polite and sweet. ::
"I apologize for keeping you on hold. So Extra, ET, Access Hollywood, and The Insider will be outside of the Gala entrance to interview the guest, correct? Thank you so much for pulling that together so fast. Uh huh. Alright, buh bye."
:: Hanging her phone up on the receiver, Alexis pushed herself back away from her desk, standing up. Walking towards her floor to ceiling windows, she placed both hands behind her back in a resting position, allowing her eyes to overlook New York City. God knows she needed a break after the numerous phone calls she had done since nine this morning. Even if it was for two minutes instead of her initial half hour. ::
As the elevator door opened, Adrian stepped out. He looked slightly amused by the choice of music provided during the ascension.
Country music? Should I be expecting barnyard animals and gals in blue jeans to greet me?
He forced himself to smile, walking now to the front desk where Tracy, Alexis' personal secretary, was no doubt waiting for him.
"Hi," he said, turning on his heel to face the woman. "I'm here for Alexis Quartermaine."
Repeating the same phrase over again was annoying, but he always enjoyed giving a false first impression that everything was anything but under his own control.

:: Cameron was somewhat relieved that the Breakfast was over. He reall did have to get to the New York Parthenon to check on things for the Gala and to go over some stuff with Vivica but it wasn't all that Urgent. He got up from his seat and pushed his chair in and looked at Karen with a smile ::
"Yes, thank you very much Karen. It was exquisite. I hate to cut out so short, but Ms. Lennox has taken quite enough of my work as it is, and I would like to relieve her, if that's not a problem, but again.. thank you. I will see you all at the Gala tonight.."
:: He nodded and gave Erika a kiss on the cheek and smiled and waved goodbye to Alison before heading back out of the Penthouse and into the Elevator. Okay time to breathe. Cameron was almost breaking out in a sweat. Though everyone seemed happy, as a Telepath he could literally sense the tension in there even with Karen, Morgan, Ororo and Erika having PSI Screens. And if everyone's mind was racing like he had detected Alexis' was, then things definitely weren't as peachy keen as everyone wanted to believe. He reached the Lobby as the Bellman seemed to voice something over on the walkie talkie as he opened the door for him. ::
"Thanks, Pete! Hey! When are we going out for drinks?"
:: The Bellman smiled as Cameron Exited Illustra and found that his limo was waiting for him. When he got inside he directed his driver to take him to the Parthenon. As they arrived he nodded to the Bellman as he stepped into the Lobby (http://www.gtaust.com/filter/03/images/03_01.jpg). He took a left and got into the Executive Elevators that would take him to the Administrative Offices of the Parthenon. As he reached the floor he took a right down a long hallway until he reached a door with a gold plaque that read Vivica D. Lennox Chief Executive of Operations. He pushed opened the door to find Vivica hard at work talking to some woman about color schemes and food for what seemed to be about the Gala. ::
Vivica: I swear to God, if you bring one TUBE of Fish Paste with you to this event, I will slit your throats! You are supposed to be chefs! I hired Chef Liezen not Chef Boyardee so get it right or I will find somebody ELSE!
:: She looked at him with a cute smile as she hung up the phone ::
Vivica: A miniscule detail. So Cameron, how did your breakfast go with the others? You sounded a little nervous on the phone, actually you sounded the same exact way when you were telling me about the Six in general. It seems to be a common vocal pattern for you? I wonder if that has any bounds for scientific exploration? Testing exact vocal patterns that exhibit the same emotions to see if there is a flux that matches?
:: Cameron shook his head. He could see the burden one would have of being almost a Human Computer. The scary thing is that that was just a small part of her recall ability. She was unstoppable. ::
Cameron: Vivica, don't overload. I need us BOTH to be in smashing form for tonight. By the way did you find a dress for Erika? She isn't used to the whole Gliterrati events. I don't want her to show up in something that a Papparazi will slander her for...
Vivica: Of course Cameron, It is actually by up and coming designer Kara Saun. She is usually a costume designer but when I saw this dress I knew that her body contours would cling along with it perfectly..
Cameron: Good.. Now let's get to work, we have some stuff to do before hand. We need to get Tokyo on the Phone, see if we can do like a Via Satelite thing and welcome them to the Opening since I can't be there? Plus we need to get the Brazil shop to get cracking. I know you saw some of the design and constructional flaws and I want them to be perfected...
:: And so Cameron threw himself back into the normalcy of what his life was before he had ever met the Six. Before life became too crazy to do anything. It felt good to act as a normal business man, aside from being a Mutant. It felt good. ::

:: Tracy turned to see Adrian standing infront of her desk. Looking him over, he did see mrather arrogant to her...but of course, she would never jeopardize one of Alexis' clients by being snotty to him, therefore she put on a happy face and nodded respectfully. ::
"Of course. Right this way Mr. Lockhart."
:: Walking around her desk, she began to make her way down a rather large hallway toward two very large dark oak doors. Mounted on the wood in gold lettering was "Alexis Chandler-Quartmaine CEO". Knocking gently, she turned the matching gold doornobs, opening the massive door and stepping to the side for Adrian to make his way in. ::
"Mr. Lockhart's here, Miss Quartermaine."
:: Nodding to Adrian as he stepped past the doorway, she gently shut the door behind him, leaving the two to their meeting. ::
:: Not bothering to turn around, Alexis continued to stand by her windows, looking out amoung the lively city. ::
"Mr. Lockhart.."
:: Turning around, her blue eyes met with his, as one of her eyebrows raised. Her face showed a look of annoyance, of course, at the fact he was there early. ::
"It's 'a pleasure to finally meet you---a half hour early."
:: Stepping forward, she extended her hand out to Adrian, making her way closer to him. She might of been bitchy towards the young celebrity, but she still needed to be "polite" towards him. Finally, she introduced herself formally. ::
"Alexis Quartermaine."

<<wherever cameron was..and whatever he was doing...it wouldnt matter now...as a stepping disc opened beneath his feet and he was PULLED from where he was....into Limbo the disc changed his position, causing him to fall out onto the ground on his hands and knees.>>
<< only this time, Limbo seemed to be less chaotic...the demons were about..but were distracted doing their own things, and the skies rumbled with distant thunder. it was icy cold....and Morgan stood before Cameron...looking grim and deathly , almost as if she were the grim reaper. still wearing her cutting edge business suit>>
did you think you were going to get away from me Cameron King? I have words for you...and you're GOING to listen to me.
<< her voice was icy and carried in the wind around him as it howled and whistled. there was no one there but Cameron and Morgan. and he couldnt leave unless SHE allowed him to>>
<< she stood over him with her arms folded>>
Adrian appeared somewhat mollified by the look. He saw it, he knew it, hell, he had practically invented it. The oh-you-big-jackass-thank-god-you-have-good-genes kind of smile. So as Tracy walked away, Adrian briefly caught a hold of her hand and murmured softly into her ear, "Thank you, beautiful," a small whiff of his all-consuming pheromones pouring out towards her and no doubt leaving the woman light-headed on her voyage back to the front desk.
But his rendezvous of sorts was short, and with only the briefest of glances lingering upon the secretary, Adrian riveted his attention back onto the CEO of this successful magazine agency.
"Alexis," he said, testing the name. He wore a thoughtful gaze, as if pondering the taste of some particularly exquisite red wine. Without hesitation he reached his hand out and grasped hers in a firm, but not-too-firm, grip. His fingers lingered on the soft flesh of her palm. The shake was firm but playful, like his eyes, which danced with glee behind the sheltering black sunglasses.
She did not know that even such a touch could have left her dead within a minute if he had chosen to.
Quite frankly, the whole idea turned him on.
"I've been looking forward to meeting you," he amended, letting her hand go too late to make it simply formal. By this point, Adrian's pheromones would begin their seductive travel around the expanse of her office..but would not quite reach her yet. He wanted to meet the real Alexis, so he kept his powers at bay.

"I'm sure....please, sit."
:: Taking her hand back, she pointed to the chair which sat in front of her desk. She of course, made her way around the back of her desk, pulling out her own chair, sitting down as well. Scooting it up so, Alexis' interlinked her fingers, resting her hands on top of her cherry-wood desk. ::
"So, what gives me this honor of having you grace me with your presence, Mr. Lockhart. I was told you requested to see me."
:: She didn't buy his "good guy" act. She knew men well...hell, she was married to five of them. She could see right through their tough exterior, picking apart EXACTLY who they were. I suppose it was a gift all woman would kill to have...but of course, this ability only coming about after numerous heartbreaks and experiences. Lifting her chin a bit higher, a trait often used by her aunt Helena, Alexis studied Adrian, awaiting his answer. He as handsome, she had to give him that. ::
Adrian, still wearing that devil-may-care grin, took the seat that she had instructed him to sit in. A few seconds after having adjusted himself to the specific contours of the chair, Adrian leaned backward into it, confidently transitioning to an equally devil-may-care position. He took off his sunglasses and propped up the elbow of that maneuvering hand onto the chair, affording Alexis his dark brown eyes. Eyes, he'd dually note, that countless women had described as "marvelous" and "mysterious".
Adrian bit on the corner of his sunglasses, his perfect white teeth positively shining, and adopted a somewhat puzzled, yet bemused, look.
"Ms. Quatermaine," he started, but quickly stopped. "Alexis," he corrected himself, not even bothering to ask her permission. "I'm confused."
And he looked up at her, his gorgeous brown gaze falling onto her face. Such a beautiful face.
"Neither of us are strangers to my name, or what I've been exactly doing in this industry. I've offered countless interviews and specials, both on camera and on paper. Yet Tempo Magazine, your magazine, hasn't asked for one. Or if it has, I have not been obliging."
Here Adrian adopted that expression of a celebrity who, well, simply could not help being so popular, and really was overwhelmed by it sometimes.
"I'm here today to open up that opportunity," he finished.

:: Allowing a laugh to escape her lips, she couldn't believe how conceited this man was! God's give to fucking woman? Please. Leaning forward, Alexis narrowed her eyes, peering straight into his. Not a hint of wanting or yearning to be with him could be seen--because at this point, she was completely repulsed by the man. ::
"So let me get this straight. You requested to see me so you could give me your permission for MY magazine to do a feature on you."
:: Leaning back, Alexis shook her head as a small smirk appeared on her pouty lips. Typical... ::
"If I’m not mistaken, that's a little backwards. Wouldn't you say?"
:: Flicking her head to the side quickly, tossing some blonde locks away from her face, Alexis pushed herself backwards, making her chair roll away from her desk. Standing up, she slowly began to walk towards a wall which was decorated with numerous magazine covers with celebrities, musicians, and royalty such as Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington, Prince William, and Celine Dion, to name a few. Turning around to face Adrian, she lifted her hand to the wall, in a "matter-of-fact" type of way. ::
"My magazine is doing quite well, as you can tell. And I’m pretty sure....no, I’m absolutly positive, we will survive without the likes of you in it."
:: How dare he walk into her office and strut around like gods give to this earth. Slowly making her way to Adrian, she leaned down, placing her hands on the arm rest of the chair. Leaning very closely to his ear, she whispered softly; her warm breath dancing along his skin. ::
"I suggest you leave."
:: Moving her head so her face were only mere inches away from his, she looked into his eyes, undoubtably looking irresistible herself. After a few seconds, Alexis stood upright and took a step back, allowing Adrian room to get up and move. Crossing her arms, she stood, waiting. ::
Bastard as he was, Adrian looked unperturbed. Underneath the exterior of frank astonishment, he analyzed Alexis with cool precision. She had finally lost her composure.
Good.
"Alexis," he said, sounding as surprised as his expression. And as she strode around the room, waving her hands emphatically and looking like a positively self-righteous, ball-busting bitch, he laughed.
He laughed.
And his rich, infectitious chuckle resounded amongst the wide walls of the room, a stark contrast to what was supposed to be heated, competitive tension between them. Adrian quieted down, though, when he felt her breath on his neck. When her face, lord that face, regarded him so closely and intimately and then, like a seductress leaving a man wanton and wanting, pulled away.
He waited, leaving an awkward thirty seconds between them after her abrupt, rude invitation..no..demand, goodbye. Then he stood himself, gracefully moving into the distance between Alexis and the desk, choosing to walk to the wall and recognize the pictures and.. 'marvel'.
Adrian crossed his arms, big and rippled as they were, and cocked his head. Observing. Then turning and looking at Alexis, a disarming smile on his features, half-apologetic and half-pleased.
"Alexis, I'm sorry if I'm being patronizing," Adrian remarked, truthfully perhaps, as he walked towards her. He even had a slight blush to his cheeks, so "ashamed" was he. "But I..I don't know. I just couldn't have helped but observe that many of your competitors have been gaining on you in subscription."
And with this, he turned his head away some, averting his eyes, as if the thought was horrifying. "And my advisors..maybe they're stupid or something, but they're saying that it's largely due to me."
"Because, y'know, I'm in a lot of stuff, so people recognize me and really like me or something, so those competitors have their subscriptions tripled whenever I offer a feature," he continued, ranting and waving his hands like it was all nonsense, but he just felt compelled to say it, to help her out, the poor girl.
So.
Finally coming face to face with Alexis, he dropped his tone. Intimately. Seductively. Sincerely, it would appear.
"I'm sorry I've been so rude. But, I'll make it up to you. Both you and Tempo Magazine," he said, nodding to himself, liking the idea more and more. "I'll accompany you to that galla event that I know is happening soon. I know, I know, it doesn't matter if you get more publicity, because it'll be great anyway. But I insist, Alexis!"
He finally grinned, pleased with himself. "And then I'll grant you an exclusive interview, only for Tempo Magazine. Maybe you could even write it yourself..now, Alexis, I'm sorry, but I have to go."
With this, he walked towards the door, hand on the handle.
"I'll pick you up..and Alexis," and Adrian paused, "I look forward to seeing you again." Grinning with that boyish charmed, he stepped out of the room, and then poked his head back in quickly. "Don't worry, I'll let myself out."
Wink, wave, and Adrian Lockhart has left the building.

:: Listening to his obvious gloating, Alexis stood her ground, arms still crossed, tilting her head to the side. She didn't bother to turn around or watch him as he made his rounds in her office. He did, however make a valid point. Tempo, which was normally ranked at number one, hit a snag when People Magazine got an exclusive interview with Adrian, doubling their sales. Thus, sending Tempo to number two. It irked her that he was right. However, what he hadn't realized in his little monologue, was that Tempo recovered quickly after, now standing high at Number One. HA! ::
:: Pressing her lips together, she shifted her eyes to Adrian, who was now standing in front of her. He had the GAUL to invite himself to her Gala and announce that she were to be his date?! Gritting her teeth, her heart rate just skyrocketed as he pranced around like a fucking cracked out fairy. Watching him head to the door, she waved her hand, dismissing him. ::
"Yes! Leave! And take your giant EGO WITH YOU!"
:: Shouted the woman as the door closed behind him. Growling, Alexis was beyond peeved at this point....God knows she had a short temper as it was, but when it came to arrogant, self righteous, "look at me! look at me!" men...ohh they got under her skin more then anything else. Looking to her office door, she cocked her head to the side; her blonde locks tumbling down her chest. Speaking to herself... ::
"Ohhh...feel free to pick me up, Mr. Bigshot. You'll be in for a huge surprise."

:: everyone was gone except for Alison and Karen::
Ororo: Morgan looks more serene. but of course we know she's far from recovered. as long as she takes it slowly and remains honest about her feelings.....we will be able to help her to make it through.
Karen, this was an excellent gathering. The children did make a valiant attempt at normalcy but Alexis and Cameron are not dealing with it very well...their masks are very apparent. Let us hope that they do not cause a further set back in the recovery process of the group...

I must go, I have been away from my garden for far too long, and neither of us can afford to hand hold for too long. I am only a wind away if any of you need me!

<< Karen said her goodbyes to Cameron and as the others slowly disembarked from the gathering, after she cleared the table with ease, she walked with ororo through the penthouse, just talking with her>>
i agree, Ororo, i honestly do not feel that either of those two were sincere. I sort of knew it would go that way. This was more of a chance to observe and see IF there was a chance that they were willing to make the effort to recover and grow closer as a team. but they are both using thier work to distract. ultimately , i dont know whats in their minds and hearts..but i just dont know Ororo. WE can work with Morgan...and Alison....but those..i just dont know.
<<after a few more moments, Ororo informed Karen she was returning to Limbo and she knew it was time. Ororo's life was there...her garden, her memories..anda her hard fought for and won peace and freedom. they exchanged hugs and fond farewells and waved as Ororo departed. Alison was resting in the same guest bedroom where MorningStar had stayed and Morgan was already gone, so Karen took a book by patricia cornwell, a gritty crime/horror novelist, and settled into a large deep seated leather chair with ottoman..as the cool central air flowed through the spacious penthouse. Tinkerbell was nearby...cleaning herself as she lay on the leather sectional. it was quiet, peacefull and serene in the penthouse...and so, Karen began to read her book and just enjoy the tranquility>>

:: Cameron found himself thrust into Limbo as he landed on his hands and knees and looked up at the Sorceress, dead in the eyes. Though her appearance was frightening, Morgan should know by now that he WATCHED her kill her own sister, so if she thought standing and looking bitchy, lofty and disdainful were going to do something to him, she was wrong. He looked up at her with the same coldness that she gave to him ::
"I'm not hiding from anything, Morgan Victoria. But honestly if you wanted to talk, a simple phone call would have worked. But what did I do wrong THIS time?"
:: Though Limbo was an extremely scary place, it lessened everytime that Cameron was there. And besides, he had almost seen the culmination of Limbo on Earth. There wasn't much of ANYTHING that would be able to scare him now ::

you never learn, do you? you dont seem to realize that the only reason your alive is because of OTHER PEOPLE'S intervention. Namely Alison. But now..my sister is dead...and you are alive...and you dont seem to care.
My mother invited your unholy, dispicable self to breakfast this morning...once again trying to help this group pull together. but in your case, i suspect it was a wasted effort.
do you REALLY think...that I can go on....knowing that YOU are the reason i finally lost control? nevermind that i nearly destroyed the city....the fact that YOU, the amoral , heartless creature that you are, managed to use my hatred of men, and everything else to GET TO ME the way you did, shows that you will do ANYTHING to gain victory.
If you cannot see how much of a danger you are....and how little regard you have for others, then I will make this simple for you.
You will remove yourself from Illustra...and our business associations will END permanently. You are FINISHED with the six as well. I may have lost my sister...and i may NEVER be able to truly recover from that...but i CAN ensure that there are no more disasters..and no more catalysts. and i CAN ensure that i never have to look at the man who was in large part responsible for the nightmare that we went through.
You have less the twelve hours to remove yourself from my premesis. I will see to it that all business ties are severed...i do not EVER want to see you again.

:: Cameron looked at Morgan as she continued to talk and talk without listening as she always did. The woman liked the sound of her voice more than Alexis used to love alcohol. Finally she stopped and Cameron was able to speak once again. ::
"Actually, seeing how you have never taken the time to find out WHAT I realize, I am thinking that you don't have much of a gauge on what is going on with me right now. I know that I am here because of other people. I have talked with those people. I have been making peace. The reason you lost control was NOT because of me Morgan, sure I catapulted it, but let's remember how many people you tried to kill before all of this? How violent you were towards your sister BEFORE all of this. I didn't bring out anything inside of you that already WASN'T there, Morgan. I didn't MAKE you do anything. You could have exploded and simply just killed me, but you didn't. It was your own personal nature that wanted to take over the world, bridge the gap to Limbo and the same nature that Killed almost everyone you know and hold dear. If your rage was directed mostly at Haleigh and myself, I can understand why you would want to kill me, but why your sister? Was that just an added bonus? You can bet I will sever all ties with Illustra and be OUT of your sight in LESS than 12 hours, and in fact if you send me back to where I was, you'll never have to see me again, that is unless, you accidentally think of me and it enrages you so much that you think you have to destroy the world again.
:: He stood up and brushed himself off, never breaking his stare from Morgan. ::
"You may think you scare me, that you wonder why I am not intimidated by you. I am not scared to die, Morgan. I've had a death wish since the day I was born. You can kill me but it definitely won't be the end, as you've seen time and again, I have a way of bouncing back from things. If you kill again it will only further my point that you were insane to begin with and it is going to be that much harder for ANYONE to ever believe you are okay ever again. So go ahead Morgan, start the Inferno Part II... Start it with me. Go ahead, Kill Me, Morgan! I'm right here, IN LIMBO! I can't escape! Kill me! There is a reason you haven't yet done it Morgan. But now you have no more. You say I am the one that made you kill Haleigh and Blaze, that made you lose control, well get YOUR revenge!"
:: Cameron was doing it again. The same thing that always happened when he got together with Morgan. He had a way of getting under her skin deeper than anyone ever had before, even more than her father, and now Cameron was doing it again, but for different reasons. He was sick of all this crap, he didn't want to have to spend the rest of his life having to apologize for the actions of Morgan, no matter how much he helped those actions. You can tell someone to kill someone all you want, but they don't have to do it. They have free will, even when all humanity is lost, somewhere in their mind they make that choice. Morgan chose to kill, she chose violence, and that was the only thing that he ever wanted the others to see. At this point he almost WANTED Morgan to kill him, just so he could be right about her. ::

<< Morgan grabbed Cameron by the throat...and began to strangle him...crushing his larynx as she steadily increased her grip>>
you're right. I am insane. I allowed you into Illustra, I allowed you to worm your way into my life, just when i thought I was going to be able to get on with it. I was a insane to think that I could learn to trust , work with or live with a slimey , repulsive insect.
Blaze is dead...i killed her. I dont know how or IF i will ever recover from that. but YOU....YOU are something all together different. Many people..POWERFUL PEOPLE risked their lives to save you...fighting against me. Ororo and Karen brought me back to myself...and I sent the hordes of Limbo back. My punishment will be to forever know that it was BLAZE who is dead instead of YOU....but in case you hadnt noticed...the ONLY people who would miss you if YOU died would be your sister Erika and possibly Alexis.....you remember....the girl whom you tried to kill and then wound up sleeping with?
<< she continued to strangle him>>
Blaze is dead...and you live...and you dont even care. You are not a man..you are a MONSTER. You PRETEND to be human but your heart is as black as the scorch marks left by my eldritch bolts. Karen and Ororo despise you. Alison wishes you were never born...and through all of this...EVERYONE except your sister has seen that you are a liability to this team.
You are not scared of death? then please...embrace the unconsciousness that will wash over you as i cut off the oxygen from your brain....and when you are looking upon my sister and haleigh, tell them that i sent you.
<< Morgan was not enraged..she was not fuming. she was acting with a perverse calm....as she held him up in the air...and continued to choke Cameron. She had no expression on her face as she looked upon him as though he were a stranger....>>
My sister is dead...Ororo and my mother KNOW that I am a demon sorceress...so there really isnt a reason for ME to pretend now is there?
Your sister Erika will live on without you..and if she tries to seek revenge..ill send HER to join you as well. But know this Cameron...there will NEVER be another "inferno"....I will never ALLOW your putrid existence to superceed my own wants and desires again.
You are not a man. you are merely an inpediment placed in my path....and now..i am removing you.
<< Morgan was definately effected by the traumatic events...and it was clear that she would not stop coming for Cameron until he was dead. Undoubtedly he would never apologize to her...for his own foolish pride prevented it. But Would he be smart enough to realize that he just had run into someone that he couldnt control...? even the cruelest man wants to survive...but in this case, Cameron's pride may very well take him to the grave>>

:: He was slightly shocked as Morgan grabbed him by the throat and lifted him in the air, choking him. Cameron lashed out with his mind, and even though his powers were hindered in Limbo, he had enough strength to move a BATTLE TANK, so here it would only likely be half as strong. The Invisible Force hit her body as she was thrown back, loosening her grip on Prophet and allowing him to fall to the ground as he grabbed his throat and gasped for air. As he allowed the Sorceress to Gain her stance, he stood up still rubbing his throat but still having enough air to stare her right in the eyes. ::
"I'll give you one thing, you sure have a hell of a grip. I don't "Pretend" to be anything, Morgan. I am what I am and if people don't like it, I could give a fuck less. I believe you follow the same philosophy. You never asked me about Blaze, Morgan, so I don't understand how you could know HOW I feel about that, ALISON is the Seer remember. I miss that girl like crazy. I DO feel sorry for my actions, but NEITHER of us are going to get through this if we continue fighting like this. I will be out of Illustra quicker than you can summon a Stepping Disc. If this is what it takes to ensure no MORE deaths, then so be it. It was less than fun while it lasted. Now send me BACK!"

you'll go, when i SAY you go. You WILL LEARN that there are forces in this world....powers BEYOND you control. and that I am one of those powers. You will be SORRY for what you did...and you will SUFFER just as i do.
<< Pointing at Prophet, Morgan opens a stepping disc that encompasses him at the waste line...>>
you will admit that you are a danger to this team and that you do not deserve to be apart of it. you will admit that you are sorry for Blaze's death and for disrespecting me. or you will die. use your powers again...and the disc will close, and you will be with haleigh and blaze.

:: As the stepping disc opened, all Cameron could do was heavily sigh. This was weighing extremely hard on him. How many people was he going to have to be repentent for before everyone just left him alone? It was getting tiring and ridiculous. He was breaking down but at the worst time possible. In front of Morgan. She was attacking him with her words, and she was winning. He talked tough and he DID have a death wish, but his thoughts went to his sister, Erika. Would she really want him to die over something like this after just reconnecting with him? The answer of course was no. He looked Morgan in the eye with a look of disdain. ::

:: a maternal, elegant, well spoken voice fills the air...probably JUST IN TIME for Cameron::
Ororo: it is unfortunate that it takes the threat of certain death for you to see the error of your ways, young man.
:: Ororo was suddenly there...standing tall in her white goddess dress with blue robe...her long silver hair flowing in the strong breeze as she looked at the two young people with an analytical , stern expression::
Morgan, release the boy. Though his death may satisfy an IMMEDIATE need, You can ill afford to have any more blood on your hands. you are young, and inexperienced ...your connection to Limbo taints your heart and your soul and you have not yet grasped what your counterparts have learned. They too suffered painfull loses. I did as well. but destroying this young man will not HELP YOU ...it will only plunge you further into darkness and prevent you from ever asserting control.
::turning to Cameron:: and you. ::her expression was unforgiving...::
you ARE a danger to this team. Your sister came to me two nights ago, and interceded on your behalf...but it remains the same. you are a liability and by rights it is YOU who should be dead...not Blaze...a young woman full of fire and passsion who wanted nothing more than to see the TWO of you bridge the gap between each other. you PLAYED on that and used it to your advantage...and when she needed help the most, you cowered in fear while Alison, Erika, Myself, Karen and Alexis risked our lives..our SOULS to save you and your child self.
you will NEVER know how much you are in debt to ALL of us. But I am as beyond you as the human is beyond the amoeba. it is Alexis, Morgan and Alison who will have to learn ....and SO WILL YOU.
When Morgan releases you....i advise you to REMOVE YOURSELF from her sphere and keep your distance. For just as you are a danger to that team..SHE is a danger to you. You will NEVER be safe from her wrath, and the next time a threat looms large and it is because of YOU....I will make certain that NO ONE ELSE DIES because of it.

Morgan stared at him..THROUGH him. the thought crossed her mind to close the disc and MURDER HIM...but just as she even began to entertain the idea.. ORORO appeared>>

::Ororo's facial expression remained stern...but slowly softened...as she stepped forward...and took a distraught Morgan in her arms...holding her like a mother would in a time of sorrow::
Ororo: do not worry, child. I am here for you, just as i have always been. and your mother is too.
::slowly stroking Morgan's head...as consoled her::
Blaze's death is a sad painfull thing that will haunt our hearts for years to come. This scenario has happened in similar form to both your counterparts...unfortunately as you are all linked, you are all destined to experience the seem life changing events one way or the other. Being apart of Limbo, having access to its magick and its mantle comes with a price...a dark nature that is easily able to sway you. I lost my innocence to this place...but i won my SOUL back for ME to control. You must take back control. You are what you are...but you can CONTROL that.
:: she transports them to her garden..away from the negative, barren land else where in Limbo and allows Spellbinder to look around...holding her hand::
look around my child, and see what i created....it started with that large, old oak tree..my first act to proove that i could STILL create and nurture life, rather than give in to dark magick and simply destroy and be violent Like Belasco ...and as my control over myself and my will to resist returned...so too did my garden flurish. This is one part of Limbo that will NEVER be taken over by the corruptive nature of the rest of the realm...unless i am utterly destroyed and even then..it will be Years before the decay of the garden is complete.
YOU have the power to assert control Morgan...to step forward..and make sure that Blaze's death was not in vain and that you HONOR her memory. Karen and I will HELP YOU. So will Alison! But you cannot fold now. You are NOT a monster...and unlike Cameron..you DO have feelings for others , try as you may to hide them.
::walking slowly with Morgan..Ororo directs morgan to sit down facing her under the massive oak that is central to the massive, sprawling garden...they sit in meditation style.::
breathe deeply my child...and remember who you are..remember the life you lead...remember Blaze. dont look back with regret..REMEMBER the accomplishments..and look AHEAD to more. take control of your mind and your soul..embrace that which you are!
::as time passes...a swirling haze of green shards of magick flows around them...and as Ororo watches, Morgan does as she is told.....the restorative magicks pour through morgan's body...restoring her, comforting her and allowing her to think clearly...and seize hold of what she must do::
You know that you are capable, you know you are still learning. Accept your mistakes...and never EVER forget what you have done. Continue to grieve...come here often to grieve in private...but dont fold. For now, you must take the first step...which is to return to Earth and control your life. There are new events, new situations on the horizon that you must face with the remaining members of The Six.....things that WILL draw you closer to those you least expect.

<< Spellbinder took solace and hid within Ororo's strong words...allowing herself to look in a "mirror" of sorts and see that Ororo was RIGHT. despite her power, and the potential, she lacked the control that DC and Magik had....despite Ororo's lessons, she was till simply REVELING in the power she accessed and not control her dark soul. If Ororo, who had been trained and corrupted by BELASCO of all creatures could do it..and could go on to win her soul BACK, then Morgan, who didnt HAVE the problem of Belasco, should be able to as well>>
<< the garden's tranquilty definately touched her and calmed her. she followed ororo and sat down in front of her, facing her under the massive oak. and as Ororo lead her in a meditation/restoration of mind ritual. Morgan saw flashes of her past self, of Blaze, of her time on Valiant..and all the other highlights in her life....she saw Blaze standing proud and triumphant in a cascade of flames...the fires of rebirth!...Morgan could rise again, and LEARN from this..taking this hard lesson as a wake up call.>>
<< Cameron was a jerk...and a heartless creature. But the difference between HIM and Morgan was that MORGAN never put up pretenses, she never DENINED she was a demon sorceress. SHE could actively take control...and didnt have to be a slave to her "nature" where as HE admitted he had a "deathwish" and that allowed him to possess his devil may care attitude>>
<< Morgan would proove she was better than him...even if he was no longer apart of the Six or Illustra. She would go on and strive to reach the level of discipline and wisdom that Ororo had....and that, along with her resolve to make sure that no one else suffered the fate of Blaze was what allowed HER to "steal her soul back" as she gasped...and opened her eyes...a renewed glimmer of determination could be seen sparkling in her icy violet eyes>>
ORORO! i feel it now! ....thank you!
<<she rushed forward and hugged her beloved Mentor...as they stood up>>

:: Cameron found himself standing in Times Square instead of Vivica's office at the Parthenon. He was growing rather tired of Morgan's boner for him, but it was over. He got out of his phone and hit number two on his Speed Dial. Soon Alexis' cell phone was ringing as he waited for her to pick up ::
"Come on, Lex, you won't believe THIS one..."
:: Prophet began to navigate himself back through to Manhattan and back to the Parthenon. He wouldn't let Morgan ruin his night. This night was more important than Illustra merely helping King Enterprises. This was basically a glorified Press Junket of which would help ALL of the businesses included and there were more than just Tempo Magazine and Illustra. He was going to host the party and then finally move out of Hell. Cameron King was free at last. He didn't have to worry about the Six. He didn't have to EVER see Morgan Victoria ever again. The next day he planned to have his offices relocated back to Los Angeles and rid himself of the situation altogether. He found himself unusually happy. ::
"You finally got what you wanted, Cameron. Freedom. Nobody holds you down..."
:: Though in the back of his mind he was wondering whether or not this was such a good idea, it would at least ensure some immediate gratification. Maybe that was what everyone needed. Time away from everything. From each other. ::

"Hello?"
:: It was time to take a break, a very well deserved break. Shifting her eyes to the clock on her desk, it ready 1:30pm....this day was going so slow. The Gala started at 7, and Alexis didn't get off work until around 4. Basically it was from one event to another. Tucking her blonde locks behind her ear, Alexis yawned, waiting for Cameron to answer. ::

:: As Alexis answered her phone, Cameron didn't give her any time to react as he recanted the events that had happened earlier ::
"So! Guess who got summoned to LIMBO a few minutes ago? That's right Cameron King. Apparantely I had all these things to answer to and yet AGAIN she was prepared to kill me. At least one thing's solved though. We made an agreement to sever all ties. The partnership between Illustra and King Enterprises is over. I am leaving New York a few days after the Gala and headed to New York. I am out of this thing, Alexis. As much as I don't want to leave you alone with all of those women, it's not up to me anymore..."
:: Looking at the Time, it was 4:45pm. He sighed ::
"The Gala is soon. I know you will need time to get ready. We will talk more at the Gala...Talk to ya later, Sweets..."
:: Cameron hung up the phone with a click as he hailed a taxi which took him back to the Parthenon where he continued to get ready for the Gala in the Executive Penthouse, being interviewed by Nancy O'Dell about the Gala and the amount of Stars that would come out to shine ::

"Cam..I.."
:: Sighing, he had hung up. Flipping her phone shut, she tossed it onto her desk, annoyed. How could he leave? Especially now. This was ridiculous....this entire situation was. Standing up from her chair, she closed her brief case, locking it shut. Grabbing her cell phone once again, she put it into her purse and closed it. She was done for today...she just wanted to get home and get ready. Rounding her desk, she proceeded to leave Tempo Magazine headquarters. ::
